As it turns out, Cale was chosen to be the seeker in the game the two wanted to play. He had turned around, counted, and turned back around to see that the two had left for their hiding spots. They have great hiding spots, especially because the estate is so large so it would take any normal person a long time to find them, but since Cale was a Thames and he was trained in fighting and using his senses to an obvious start, Cale practiced and honed his skills enough that he can use his senses to find just about anyone.

But he isn't gonna cheat in this game of hide and seek. No matter how amusing it would be, this is Basen's and Lily's first time hanging out with him and he doesn't want to ruin it for them, despite them not knowing what he could do.

Cale decided to check the bushes surrounding the estate because unsurprisingly, they are big enough to hide in. He had experience. While he checked the bushes, he made sure to check the trees as well.

Cale turned around and subtly glanced at a tree near his right. Although he hid very well, he had yet to conceal his presence, though he would never talk about that to Basen anytime soon. Cale quickly turned around, locking eyes with dark brown. The eyes widened as Cale spoke.

"Come on out, Basen, I found you."

It was a while before said boy rustled himself out of the tree and landed on the ground. Basen held a sullen expression as his shoulders hunched. He walked up to Cale like a beaten puppy. Cale could see metaphorical puppy ears on his head and sad puppy eyes. It was a little funny.

"You did well at hiding, now let's find your sister."

Cale praised him and soon turned around and started walking in another direction. He missed the metaphorical puppy tail wagging behind Basen as he soon followed after Cale.

The two never spoke a word as they tried to find Lily. Basen was getting a little worried about not finding his sister anywhere and if Cale felt worried as well, he sure didn't express it as he only held a stoic expression.

When they got to a certain part of the estate, they noticed a commotion. There were maids with scared and worried looks as they were trying to coax someone into doing something.

Confused, the two approached the crowd and soon understood what the maids were trying to do.

"Please young miss! Jump and we will catch you!"

"Please come down Miss Lily!"

The two boys watched as the maids continued to try and coax Lily down from a ledge she seemed to have climbed up on. It was at least a 10-foot fall if she was to ever get clumsy.

"No! I-I'm gonna fall!"

Lily yelled, pressing her back further into the wall as she squeezed her eyes shut and trembled in fear of falling. She didn't expect to get stuck. The climb up was easier than the climb down so it seems. She regrets ever climbing up and onto the ledge.

Basen heard a sigh come from beside him as he watched Cale walk through the crowd and look up at Lily. Basen walked and stood behind Cale as he watched the older raise his arms as he spoke to her.

"Jump down Lily, I'll catch you."

Basen watched as Lily opened her eyes a bit before quickly closing them again.

"N-No, I-I'm gonna fall a-and you will f-fail to catch me..."

She spoke fearfully as she continued to tremble.

"Do you distrust your older brother that much?"

Cale spoke which made the maids gasp and whisper to themselves. Basen stared at Cale in surprise as he just admitted that he was their older brother. 'He admitted it!'

Basen felt like smiling but now was not the time for that. Lily shook her head 'no' as she opened her eyes slightly to look down at the redhead whose arms were open in a welcoming manner.

"Then do you trust me?"

Lily didn't respond as she continued to stare at the wide-open arms that were welcoming her with warmth. Cale was her older brother, despite not spending much time with him, she felt like she could trust him, no matter what.

With shaking legs, she slowly approached the ledge and as she stared down, she felt fear overwhelm her as her breathing quickened. She trembled more than she had ever before as she backed up toward the wall behind her. It felt like she was on top of a large cliff, a thousand meters high.

"Lily, don't look at the ground, look at me."

She couldn't. Her eyes had yet to open for her. Her fear was so tremendous that she felt like she couldn't move. But, her older brother was down there. He had his arms out, waiting for her to jump so that he could catch her. She felt touched by that and so, with a bit of courage, she moved back to the ledge. She shook as her eyes landed on the ground below her. It was like she was on a thousand-foot-tall mountain. It was then that her brother spoke.

"Look at me."

And she followed his words. She turned her eyes to look at him. Her eyes widened as she stared at the expression her older brother was making. A one of a kind. Tears welled up in her eyes and spilled down her cheeks before she leaped off the ledge.

She felt her stomach levitate. And although she should feel fear, it felt strangely invigorating to experience. It felt like a minute before she came into contact with a hard surface, but in reality, it was only a few seconds. She kept her eyes closed, even after her stomach stopped levitating and feeling sickly.

"Lily, are you alright now?"

Hearing a familiar soft voice right next to her instead of far away made her open her eyes to see who it was. Once she opened her eyes and looked up, she was met with reddish-brown eyes that belonged to her older brother.

"Cale..."

Lily muttered, stunned as she looked around and noticed how she was no longer on the ledge so high that it felt like it was a cliff that could go on forever. She noticed Basen smiling at her with relief and that's when Lily turned her attention back to Cale who stared at her, his eyes with emotions swirling within them. Said emotions that were unknown to her.

Lily trembled again, but this time it was because of relief instead of fear. Her eyes welled up with tears as she started to sob. She wrapped her arms around her older brother's neck, engulfing him in a tight hug as she cried into his shoulder and mumbled out many words of gratitude.

Cale was surprised by the sudden hug and words coming from his little sister before he only sighed and hugged her back. The maids watched the two of them before some of them went back to doing their duties while some stayed.

"Would you like us to assist you in taking care of the injuries Miss Lily has?"

A maid asked. Cale was silent before shaking his head,

"No, I'll take care of everything, thank you, you may go back to doing your job now"

The maid nodded as she bowed and responded,

"As you wish young master Cale"

And with that, the maids all left, leaving the three siblings by themselves. Cale silently adjusted his hold on his little sister. It would seem that Lily wasn't gonna let go of him anytime soon so he opted to just carry her to his room to patch her up, along with Basen.

The boy must have thought he was slick enough to hide the scratches that littered his hands. He was wrong of course. Cale can notice anything. With a soft sigh leaving his lips, he turned and started to walk away while yelling at Basen to follow.

These two siblings of his were quite troublesome individuals. But, he guessed he shouldn't be the one to complain when he was just as bad.

Jour smiled at the three kids in front of her. She felt like things would soon lighten up for her son, now that he has two siblings he has acquired into his little family. Although she felt happy for him, she continued to wonder what things would be like soon, now that her son had two people to depend on.

Now that she thought about it, should she make a squad? Maybe a protection squad for her son? It was a funny thought but, she felt like her son may need it. She'll call it, The CHPS.

Yeah, that had a nice ring to it.
