"Okay, wait, sorry, lemme get this straight." Verity said. "So, Scion's going to cause the apocalypse?"

"Yes." The woman, 'Doctor Mother', said.

"How, exactly?" Verity could believe it, of course, he was the local Superman-expy, she just wasn't sure how or why.

"He is going to blow up the earth." Alexandria said. "All the earths."

"Ten to the power of seventy eight, earths to be exact." The blond man said.

"Do you mean the explosive yield or that many alternate earths?"

"That many earths." Legend said. "I had trouble believing it at first, but when they explained it, I had to say yes."

"Okay, uh… I'd love that explanation, then." Verity said. "Because I'm suddenly massively out of my depths. How do you all know this?"

"Because of powers or rather one specific power." Doctor Mother said as walking in through another door came Fortuna.

"Well I didn't think we would get to talk this soon, Medusa." She said, somewhat bemused.

"Hi, what?" Verity was now completely lost.

"My name is Contessa and I possess the power known as Path To Victory. Allowing me to see the steps I need to take towards any goal." Contessa began to explain. "I got it in 1980 on an alternate Earth, in Côte d'Ivoire. When an alien crashed into the planet, and I got the power, and I saw its and its partners plan for Earth was, and so as it formed its new avatar with the help of Doctor Mother I stabbed it in a critical spot, killing it. But not before it affected my power blocking its partner from my sight. That partner appeared over the Atlantic ocean two years later on Earth Bet."

"Scion?"

"Yes."

"The Golden Man, one who everyone believes to be a hero but is our doom waiting to happen," The blond man said. "Excuse me, I didn't introduce myself, I am The Number Man. I take care of finances."

"You know I figured you were part of this but I didn't think you were this involved." Verity admitted.

"I like money." He replied. "And the structure society creates."

"Same, not blaming you, and sorry please continue."

"That is the story, and we know that sometime in the next decade or so Scion is going to turn hostile and end everything." Eidolon said.

"Okay. Do we know why?"

"We do not." Contessa said.

"As she mentioned, he is blind to her power, so Contessa has to construct a model of him in her head to try and predict him, the same being true for the Endbringers." Alexandria stated. "Just know that Scion is an alien threat, and we have been working to fight and kill him."

"Okay, is that part of that plan for us you saw, Contessa?" Verity asked. "Like, was the every-earth-explosion thing the point or a byproduct?"

"Byproduct, it is how they travel to other worlds, using the energy to propel themselves to the next civilization and also how they reproduce going by the last bit I got. Their species is the reason space is empty."

"...Oh." Verity said. "Okay, I get it now. And I'm assuming, then, that going off the timeframe and the fact you guys do powers in a bottle, all powers come from these things then? I know I spoke with mine yesterday."

"You… spoke?" Doctor Mother asked in surprise and shock.

The rest looked just as surprised by her statement.

"Is-is that not normal?"

"N-no, we know there is some measure of intelligence behind the Agents, for how else could they choose a host, but you talked to it?" Doctor Mother asked.

"Yeah, it looked like an outline of me, and it said that all powers were like that." Verity said. "Given the timing, and what you just said about reproduction, that's why I figured the powers themselves are clearly sourced from these entities… or is that wrong?"

"No, that is correct," Alexandria said.

"We harvest the other one for the Power Vials." The Number Man said.

"Mhm. Well apparently they're alive, sapient, and cognizant." Verity said. "The main one's dead, right?"

"Though probably in a different way from how we think of those concepts," Doctor Mother said. "But yes the consciousness has been eliminated even if the body continues to function which is how we get powers. We harvest parts of its body, with certain parts corresponding to certain Agents."

"Huh. What part's mine from?" Verity asked curiously.

Contessa took out a scanner and aimed it at Verity's forehead, the machine giving a beep in response. "You got a Vial mixed from-" What followed was a set of numbers that Verity had no frame of reference from.

"Mhm. So how do normal people get 'Agents' then?"

"They get it from Scion," Legend said.

"They belonged to him once, he spread across the world for them to attack, and in their original plan they were going to harvest them all."

"...Wait, that thing in the brain that all powers are tied to, are they attached to that?"

"They are."

"So harvesting would mean…"

"Instant lobotomy." Contessa answered.

"Ah. Great, so to summarize so far, two aliens came to one earth in the 80's, you accidentally got powers from one and then killed it, causing the other one to change its plan of spreading their… what, kids? Let's say kids, around in order to then harvest them and most of humanity in the process and then blow up the planet, leave, and repeat?"

"In a nutshell yes." The Number Man responded.

"Which is why me and Contessa started Cauldron." Doctor Mother said.

"Cauldron… so it's a C and an Omega, then?" She would not give them points for shaping it like a cauldron, she would not.

"Yes, very on point branding, and as you saw, the mark allows us to identify each of you," Doctor Mother added.

"Mhm, can't say I agree with that decision, but I also can't blame you because omnicide very bad." She very much could blame them.

"It is and while I don't agree with everything my friends do in the pursuit of stopping it, I can't fault them for their choices." Legend said.

"Which is why you're kept out of the loop for most of it, so that just in case this blows up in our faces, you can save face," Alexandria said.

"Okay, so a few things are bothering me already about all this." Verity said. "Contessa, you said sometime in the next decade, right?"

"That is what my current model gives me, but it could easily change, going from ten years to ten days."

"Cause I'm from the year 2021." Verity said, emphasizing that.

"Some Earths are ahead, some are behind, some are way behind, we found an Earth where it just became 10.000BC."

"Wow, okay, second thing, what happened to my friends?"

"You were the only survivor." Contessa said.

Verity leaned forward towards her. "Did any of you cause-"

"No." Doctor Mother said. "We do not do that, we only give you a second chance."

"And you said you wanted to live." Contessa added. "Well addendum, one other lived… but he is not in a state that could be called living even after he was given a vial."

"Mhm." Verity hummed, pretty sure they weren't lying (what reason would they have to, at this point?). "Okay. You're gonna show me him as soon as we're done talking here."

She was not asking.

"I will show you to his room after we are done." Contessa said.

"Good. Third point- you say it was two entities, and that they do this partially to reproduce, right?"

"Yes."

"What makes you sure Scion, the guy who literally is calling himself child, is the entity proper and not an offspring?"

"Because that is not his name." Alexandria said. "People misheard him when he gave it."

"What is it then?"

"Zion."

Verity's brain locked up for a second at that name. "Like the Jerusalem kind of Zion? Z-I-O-N?"

"We do not know why he picked that name, but to us he is just the Avatar of the Entity."

"So pretty much what I was getting at, it's not the actual thing, just a puppet body?"

"The puppet body."

"And destroying that body would at least slow it down for a good long while, then?"

"Going by the other one it takes a bit to form their Avatar as it is made from parts of themselves." Contessa said. "We can show you it if you want."

"Sure, after the other stuff." Verity said. "So, I'm assuming you guys are telling me all this because you want me in on it."

"Yes you figured it out for the most part and The Agent you have gotten has proven to be very, very powerful," Contessa said. "With the revelation of an Endbringers core, and their crystalline bodies that are similar to that of Eden, our name for it. I assume it was meant to be another Endbringer, but it never got the chance to be made into one."

"And, just checking, what happens if I say no?"

"Your memory gets wiped." She responded. "That is standard procedure and how this place was constructed."

"Yeah figured as much."

"Though with you the Slug seems to be not as effective, considering the previous attempt," Contessa replied.

"Probably the brain tumor, now that I'm thinking about it."

"That should not affect it as it can affect those whose bodies turn into metal or other non-organic substances."

"Whatever, if you try to fuck with my memories again I will go ballistic."

"The first one was for you-"

"For your own good blah blah blah I don't give a shit." Verity said, letting some of the frustration and roiling hatred she was feeling building through the conversation bubble out. "I don't care why you tried to take my memories. Just know that if you try that shit again it won't end well for you."

"Safety, those that are transformed can sometimes go animalistic, wiping memories fixes that, that was true for you." Contessa said.

Like hell it was!

"Oh you don't need to worry about justifying it, any explanation you come up with is 'for the greater good' bullshit that is understandable given your guyses goal but don't think for even a second I can be convinced this is the right way to do things. I understand it's the one available to you. No need for moral justification."

"There is no moral justification, we know we are writing a ledger that can not be cashed in, but when it comes to survival, all methods are on the table." Contessa replied. At that she looked at a watch on her wrist. "And sorry, one part of your biology you forgot about is about to come into play."

"What the fuck are you talking abo-" Her words were suddenly interrupted by an immediate need to hurl. But it did not feel like she was about to throw up, but rather like something solid was moving up her throat and-

"HURK!"

She put her hands to mouth as something made its way out of her throat and into her palms.

Something very heavy and slightly round.

She stared at the egg she had just mouth-birthed. It was purple-ish in color with concentric circles along its body. And it was about the size of a watermelon.

"...Did I just babies?"

"You have consumed enough viable biological material over the past week for that part of your power to create a 'minion'."

"I did just babies then…" Verity said, a tad loopy.

"Congratulations." Contessa replied.

"Okay, I've had enough conspiracies for today, if there is no important info please show me to my friend." Verity stated, very close to the end of her rope and just stoning everyone present.

"Door to the Reader's Room," Contessa said and another one of those portals opened up, which showed another sterile white room, but this one was more reminiscent of a hospital.

She could hear the sound of a heart monitor and other equipment.

Without hesitation, Verity stepped through the portal, the egg held closely in her arms as she looked around.

There was a singular bed surrounded by medical equipment, with the only thing out of the ordinary was a screen that had a 'yes' at the top and a 'no' at the bottom.

And on the bed lay a human.

A human she… she almost didn't recognize him with how emaciated he looked, he looked like he was barely skin and bones. Hair gone, honestly he looked like he was ninety-years old.

Sleeping.

But she could still just barely recognize him.

"Oh buddy what did they do to you…?" She asked as she knelt down by his bedside.

"Sometimes the power granted gives too much sensory input, and they can't function like normal people, two others who are part of our group, Clairvoyant and Doormaker, are in a similar situation to him." Contessa explained. "While his injuries were healed, it seemed to also rapidly age him."

"So… what is his power, then?" Verity asked.

"We do not know the full extent, but he can see powers in some capacity, when awake he is able to identify vials that would work a hundred percent of the time. In the last 3 months not a single Case53 has been created thanks to him."

"Oh." That sounded… useful.

Too useful.

"Can you give me a moment alone with him, please?"

"Of course." Contessa replied. "...She now has limited Door privilege." She said to no one as she exited through another.

Verity waited a moment, then another, as she looked over the room. No clear signs of someone else in the room.

Good.

That would give her the time she needed.

"Hey buddy." She said softly to her one remaining friend from her old life, gently reaching out to touch his arm. He really was almost skin and bones- completely unacceptable. "It's been awhile since we've talked. I've got a lot to catch you up on… I've got a girlfriend now, believe it or not! It's pretty crazy…"

She waited a moment, but there was no reaction.

"Hehe, yeah… I might have also just given birth, it's nuts." Verity said, shaking her head. "But, really… I'm glad to see you again buddy. Even if it's like this… I can still give you a chance here."

And then she bit his arm.

His body twitched as the beeping of the heart monitor increased as his body near-instantly began to change.

Body shrinking as it started to fill out once again and… Well the result was universal no matter the gender it seemed.

As he definitely became a she.

Much shorter, hair now grown out and a deep gray color, skin on the pale gray side of things.

And despite the deathly pallor, looking much healthier.

"Hmn," Came the sound from him? Her? Verity would have to ask afterward what they preferred now if the 'base' form was still the same.

"Hey buddy, I know I've got a different voice and face now, but it's me." She said. "I came for my Viking." She whispered.

Eyes fluttered open, both now a deep purple.

"It's you… I… saw you when they…"

"Hey, hey, it's okay now bud." Verity said as she shifted her egg (she'd deal with that later) to her hair. "I've made everything better and now we're gonna get you out of here, okay?"

"They are… the most incompetent conspiracy I've ever seen," They complained as Verity picked them up.

"Fuckin' right? What kind of secret conspiracy has a logo?" Verity said, shaking her head before raising her voice. "Door to the temporary hospital in Brockton Bay. I'm taking this." She said as her snakes disconnected the machinery from her friend.

"Thank you for fixing him, please take care of him, I hope you can do the same for others." An ethereal voice spoke throughout the room.

"Hey Custodian. Thanks for taking care of me."

"You are welcome."

At that point the Door opened, a gentle breeze flowing through the room now.

"Let's get you some fresh air, buddy." Verity said as she stepped through and found herself back in the tent she had woken up in Taylor and Sabah looking at her in surprise and shock. "Hey guys! This is my friend. Friendo, these are my adopted daughter and gf." She said, pointing at each with her hair.

"Hey… your powers are really cool," They said as Taylor blushed from head to toe, while Sabah looked downright flabbergasted.

"Thanks! I'm betting yours are too." Verity said with a smile.

"What?" Taylor asked.

"The fuck Verity, what happened, and how did you get here? Was that a portal?" Sabah asked.

"Quick summary, I talked with the Big Three and they realized my buddy here was from the same car crash so they had a friendly teleporter send me to the hospital they were at, and then I fixed them and came here." Verity said, carefully avoiding clueing them into the Big Truths without actually lying. She had barely begun to process what had happened, so it seemed the best way.

"Oh? That is good to hear, and… I am gonna go and find Ragyo for material for clothes for her." Sabah said.

"Oh, also, I had an egg." Verity said, Charlie holding up said egg carefully in its mouth.

"Wat?"

"Her?... Oh I've got bobbies now." They were definitely still way out of it.

"It's been a day." Verity severely understated.

"Let me get clothes for her, and then… let's go home." Sabah said as she stood up.

"Yeah… oh, yeah, buddy, I got a mansion because her second mom goes overboard with everything." Verity said excitedly. "We'll have to fix it up since we got raided… oh fuck me, if they damaged anything I'm going to rip Coil's nuts off before I kill him…"

"...Isn't he already dead?" Taylor asked.

"That kill has not been confirmed and I will act accordingly until it is." Verity stated firmly.

"Whose Coil?"

"Archnemesis."

"Ah… it's weird being able to talk again." They said. "Thanks for fixing me, you two."

Verity blinked down at her friend (who she needed to check the memory of soon). "Buddy I'm the only one who fixed you."

"I am talking about the purple snake lady and you."

"But I'm blue…oh." Verity said as she remembered her own experience earlier with a 'purple snake lady'. "Ohhhhhh."

"What is she talking about?" Taylor asked, sounding so very confused.

"My buddy here can apparently see a sort of living manifestation of people's powers and communicate with them? Correct me if I'm wrong there buddy."

"Close enough."

"So what does mine look like?" Taylor asked.

"It… looks like one big web, pulling and connecting to everything, wow you got a strong one." They said.

"Strong? I only control bugs."

"That's its minimum setting, though if you went higher your brain would break."

"Oh?" Taylor said in shock at the information given to her.

"Please don't break your brain."

"I like having a working brain, unlike you, so I won't."

"No victory cookies for you."

"You have a wonderful and working brain." The sass on this child.

"Speaking of working brains," Verity said. "Do you remember your name buddy? I lost mine in transit so I go by Verity now if that wasn't clear."

"That's a very you name… even if I can't remember it or mine either, a lot happens when I sleep." They said with a bit of sadness. "Though I think that is fixed now."

"We can figure out a name together then buddy." Verity promised. "And don't worry, you'll only sleep when you want to from now on. I promise."

"Yeah… I rather not sleep so much ever again."

The only real damage on the Snake's Den was the security system and a few busted doors.

She would still be sweeping every single fucking inch of the house with a full bombsquad as soon as she could to make sure the fucker didn't plant any 'just in cases'.

In the meantime, her own skills and Lisa's would have to be enough, doing a full sweep of the rooms.

Everyone had gathered in the Den in wake of the destruction caused by Leviathan's assault.

The former Undersiders, Aisha, Taylor, Sabah, her still-yet-to-be-renamed buddy were all gathered, and Daniel (who was able to call in and confirm he was alive and unharmed, letting Taylor finally relax) was checking out the Hebert Home to check for damages but would be inbound as well, for safety purposes.

Especially after Ragyo had data boy -Inumuta- come through and fix up the security system with a whole new slew of protections.

She'd been rather upset upon finding out her excellent home security system had been breached.

Sabah had had to talk her down from stationing an entire security detail around the building long term.

It was just short-term instead.

That woman…

Regardless, it was appreciated after the absolute shitstorm of a day she'd endured.

Was it even still the same day?

God, Verity couldn't even tell any more.

And then there was the egg.

She had an egg now.

Which was odd, since she was pretty sure she hadn't…

Contessa had said she'd 'consumed enough in the last week' but she had no idea what could have…

Verity's mind blanked as she remembered the pillar of snakes that had torn multiple chunks out of Levithan.

Was it…?

She'd have to wait and see, she supposed…

And wouldn't be leaving that egg out of her sight/grip.

It was firmly situated in her hair at the moment as she tried to distract herself and destress via baking.

With how shaky her hands were, though, and how little she could focus on the tasks, it was proving difficult.

Verity had been trying not to show it, but she felt like a walking corpse at the moment.

Her eyes were still burning, there was a low throbbing across everything that didn't outright hurt as if she'd done a super intense full body workout… and then did it again.

And then got hit by a truck.

And then drowned.

She was not feeling very good, in other words.

Verity needed to rest, but she couldn't.

There was still so much she needed to do.

She needed to make sure her people were safe.

That they were secure, healthy, and happy.

So if her hands could stop shaking and making her spill the flour for one damn minute

"Hey, are you okay?" Came the voice of her friend.

"Huh? Yeah, I'm good, just a little shaky haha." Verity lied as she breathed, setting down the measuring cup as she turned to face her friend, now outfitted in the latest Parian Original.

Or rather a pair of shorts and a big fluffy sweater.

"Hey…" They said. "You don't have to pretend with me, you know that."

Immediately, the mask of forced cheer and heroic fortitude she'd been wearing fell away as the tired woman beneath it was all that was left as she slumped to the ground, her back against the cabinets, her tail loosely coiling around her legs protectively. "...So many people died today."

"I think that happened yesterday, though going by your girlfriend, many more would have died if it wasn't for you, so good job Verity." They said.

"I could have killed it though." Verity said. "I had the kill, and I threw it away like an idiot… and so many more people died. Because of me. Because I tried to be clever and just caused more problems instead…"

"Well just do better with the next one then, you made a mistake, so just learn from it like you always do and do better." They said as they came up to her and sat down besides her, as close as they could with her tail in the way.

"I'm a professional hero now, my mistakes cause people to die." Verity said, faces and costumes and loose body parts flying through her mind.

So much blood.

"I don't think you're alone in that, going by how much of a crapsack this world looks to be."

"...We're in a Kill la Kill crossover."

"Huh?"

"This house was purchased by Ragyo Kiryuin."

"...Oh that Ragyo… that's weird."

"Yeah." Verity agreed. "I also fought Snowflame. As in 'my superpower is cocaine' Snowflame."

"I guess this universe's version of him? Or does he just have cocaine powers?"

"Copycat with similar powers." Verity said. "Comics apparently existed like on our world right up until the local Superman showed up and Parahumans started popping up en masse and changed the landscape. And then the Endbringers showed up."

"Yeah those things sound like pure bullshit, like the epitome of 'nyah-ah, my thing is stronger than yours'. Playground rules."

Verity let out a morose chuckle. "Yeah, that's what it felt like. Kaiju waterbender moving at Mach 1. Not fun."

"Yeah, it doesn't sound like it. You've been dealt a tough hand."

"I've been making do." Verity said. "And with you here now, I finally have someone who understands my memes again."

"Ah yes my only reason for existing, for you to have somebody to get your references." They snarked.

"Yeah. You're the only person I can properly communicate how I feel with." Verity said with a smile. "Memes are my love language."

"Well, I am going to have to educate that girlfriend of yours if that is the case, gotta have her be able to understand you."

Verity reached over and wrapped an arm around her friend. "Obviously I need you too, you goober. Just in case that wasn't clear."

"I know… I've missed you."

"I missed you too."

They sat there in a comfortable silence for a moment.

"I can shapeshift." Verity said out of nowhere. "You wanna see?"

"I know, but I don't know what you look like." They responded.

Her tail merged with her legs, which left in an awkward position for a moment against the cabinet before she righted herself. "Like this."

"So you've got a Lamia mode? What else?" They asked. "'Cause it sounded like you had more."

"Well I've got a Tia-Gorgon mode, with wings and everything, but I get kaiju size when I do that." Verity said. "And apparently, I can go full Cetus Pandemonium, but I'm not doing that again."

"Yeah it's basing it off of your own mental image of lamia monstergirl, so the power is filtered through your image and ideas surrounding Medusa."

"Wait… seriously?"

"Yep, though it's kinda locked in stone now, but it's still somewhat malleable, though that Cetus Pandemonium form is on lock down now, Alice is saying that is for Endbringer use only."

"...Alice?" Verity repeated, her train of thought completely thrown off track.

"That's the name of the person your power used to be, Alice Fateburn, the First, you are technically Alice Fateburn the 17th." They said.

"...Like MGQ?"

"You ask her next time you go to sleep cause she isn't telling me anymore."

"Wait… wait wait wait wait, hold up, are you saying powers used to be people?" Verity asked, going back to the more important part.

"Some of them were alien races with innate powers or their technology, some were constructed from scientific principles, some like Taylor's were made to fulfill a role."

"What role?"

"Shard Administrator." They answered. "The proper name is Queen Administrator."

"Queen… Administrator?" She repeated. "...You said she's connected to everything… and that bugs are the minimum…" Verity felt the gears in her brain turning. "...She only controls bugs because they have tiny, simple brains, but she isn't limited to bugs. You said more or less that earlier, that she would fry her brain if she tried something more?"

"Yep, the power has been properly broken as it were, but if jailbroken she could control humans, or rather anything with a nervous system." They answered.

"Holy shit." Verity said. "Holy shit. What do you mean by 'jailbroken'? Is that what Second Triggering is?"

"I don't know that term, but it is kinda the same thing, more of the limits placed on them gets unlocked in response to the host experiencing a more severe version of the trauma that made them get it in the first place to get out of the situation."

"Oh. Okay." Verity said. "That's. Um… just a heads up, don't tell anyone stuff like that unless I'm with you to vet them. Please. That kind of info… I do not want that info getting into the wrong hands."

"I won't of course, though… so to totally change subjects, name for me."

"I'm thinking Evangaline?" Verity offered immediately.

"Why?" They asked.

"Because I didn't know if you'd go for Evanescence." Verity said, her logic infallible and unassailable.

"Oh hahahaha, funny."

"I think we should probably figure out the other part first though or pick something neutral, what pronouns do you wanna use now?" Verity asked.

"I am pretty sure I've said I am not attached to my physical sex, and currently that sex is female, so she/her," She answered.

"Alright, then suggested names: Evanescence, shortened to Evan." Verity repeated. "Ooh, or go for an actual classic with Elvira? Or maybe Lilith? You just have this goth vibe right now and I know you like that kind of thing."

"I do, though I think Lilith works better as a superhero name than an actual name, but we can stick with something classical," She replied.

"Maybe Narcissa?" Verity provided. "Ooh, or Midnight? That could be a good last name."

"It does, though if we go the star based names, what about Bellatrix?"

"Ooh, yeah, Bellatrix Midnight sounds good right? Rolls off the tongue, has a bunch of nicknames it can turn into, very goth."

"Bellatrix Midnight works, it has been decided." Bellatrix said.

"Nice. In that case, Bellatrix." Verity said as she looked at the mess of flour on the counter. "Do you wanna help me clean up and then see if there's any pizza places open already? We need to celebrate surviving."

"There probably isn't, though don't you have portals now? Always order from another city?"

Verity was about to refute that, that surely she couldn't use the secret teleporter like that.

And then she remembered whose teleporter it was.

Fuck 'em.

"...Door to Rehoboth, Delaware?" She tried.

A door opened up. And she saw a stack of pizzas laying there with a note saying.

Ordered them for you - Contessa.

"...Huh." Verity said, reaching out for the sizeable stack of pizzas and found that yes, they were real, yes they were from Grotto's Pizza, and yes they were fresh. "Thanks?"

The door disappeared at her words.

"...Pre-cog powers are the worst, The Path is always smug even when it's been neutered."

"Inclined to agree." Verity said as she set the boxes on the table. "You wanna help me clean before we call everyone in?"

"Of course, do you have to ask?" Bellatrix asked as she got up.

"Hey, my own precog abilities don't work on people you know that." Verity joked. "Or is the Gift of Useless Prophecy real?"

"Might be a power of humanity, I don't know I can only see shards and interact with Shard Space when I sleep. And I am not going back there for a while."

"Mhm… we'll have to have a more in-depth power talk later." Verity said as she put away the flour bag. "We should hurry before the teenagers can-"

"Yooh is that Pizza?" Aisha asked. "Hey, Verity got pizza!"

Verity sighed as she heard the oncoming stampede.

It was good to be home.
