[Natsuki's POV]
I don't get Shizuru sometimes, for the past weeks she's avoiding me ever since my sudden confession. I don't get her.
"Earth to oneechan!" Alyssa screamed on top of her lungs.
"Y-Yes?"
"What's on your mind? You've been acting weird lately, Nao is on the verge of losing her mind because you never pick her on a fight."
"I didn't know that I signed up to be her entertainer."
"Spill it Natsuki." Alyssa demanded.
Can I tell Alyssa about the confession? What if she'll laugh? I mean, it's not like she'll laugh at me, I'm her sister of course but what happened was something I should feel embarrassed about. I look like an idiot.
"Natsuki you know, no matter how idiot you are, how you made yourself look like a fool without you knowing, you're still my older sister whom I adore the most. So spill whatever things you have in mind and I promise to listen."
"How to say… you see, I accidentally confessed to Shizuru weeks ago then after that she became distant."
I told Alyssa about the confession in detail, she didn't laugh but I can see it in her eyes that she's tearing up and she's trying her best not to slap me for what happened.
"I see, when was the last time you talk to her?"
"She called me every day reminding me about skipping classes and things but the last time we talked properly was the day before it happened. She never gives me her answer or says about how she truly feels about me, she suddenly takes a steps back from me then Chie told me about the new student named Natsu."
"Oh? The one they say who looks exactly like you?"
"Yes, honestly I hate to admit that I'm hurt but what can I do when she's already far?"
"Are you going to give up?" Alyssa asked with a determined look in her eyes.
When Alyssa drop the bomb I realized that what did I ever do to make her love me, aside from wiping her tears years ago? I didn't do anything. I asked her to do things for me, appeared in the middle of the night to wake her from her slumber just to teach me about lessons when I already knew all about it. I made her my servant just to see her in every way I can and hold her to keep her from wandering but I did nothing on making any effort to have her heart.
"Natsuki are you going to give up?" Alyssa asked again.
"NO! I'm not giving up!"
"From what I see you are about to give up, running away from the pain and afraid to accept any rejections. You said you're hurt but aren't brave enough to face the trials that you should overcome to have what you truly desire. If you wanted her whole then fight for her, be there for her, and love her truly and be loved. The Natsuki I know is an idiot, fool, lack of female hormones, can't cook, who thinks deeply but reckless when it comes to eating Mayo, short-tempered, too kind to come up with a simple lie, and too innocent to take advantage of Mai-san when she purposely squeeze your face on her bosom and I.N.S.A.N.E but she's passionate, caring, protective towards her precious friends and family, rational and will do everything just to have her goal even sacrificing own happiness." that's what Miyu said who appeared out of nowhere holding a cup of tea for me and a glass of milk for Alyssa.
"That's one hell of a word Miyu."
"Well, you can pay me at least $500 for that."
The hell I was wrong when I thought Miyu is a trustworthy guardian to Alyssa and I guess she has her eyes only to money.
"I am sorry but the money I have right now isn't enough to pay you."
"Then increase my salary." she immediately replied earning a snort from me.
"Oneechan, why don't you talk to her and ask her properly. I'm not asking you to arrange a fancy dinner with heart decorations like in a drama you've been watching, not even a serenade, I'm asking you to confess properly and tell her about what you feel. Don't act, don't write poems or anything whatsoever. Simply follow your heart and let it speak up for you."
"Oujo-sama that's too complicated to understand for your sister who only knows lingerie and mayo." Miyu interjected.
"Miyu that's mean."
"I apologize I'm only stating the fact Oujo-sama, please punish me."
"I think I'll be somewhere with my Ducati. Because of you two, my remaining brain cells inside finally exploded."
[Shizuru's POV]
"Do you think this is right?" Natsu asked.
We were hanging out at my parent's mansion after the long meeting for the Foundation Day together with Haruka and Yukino who take part in the preparations.
"Yeah bubuzuke, that delinquent is nothing but a pain on everyone's ass. I don't think she will gladly accept that kind of punishment for her 'violining' the rules."
"Violating Haruka-chan." Yukino corrected.
"That's true Shizuru, for the past weeks of observing her I think this won't work." Natsu agreed.
We are here to talk about Natsuki getting a punishment for skipping a class. I kinda feel guilty for acting as if nothing happened after her confession but I was confused why Natsuki would do something like that in the first place. It's not like Natsuki is attracted to girls right? She may be lard of male hormones but I don't think she's homosexual and it's not right for me to judge her when she's never in a relationship before.
For the past weeks, Natsu is observing her sister, afraid to approach since Natsuki's mood isn't right at the moment that's why he's contented on looking at her from afar. After our first meeting at the restaurant, mother arranged few dinners together with them to talk about the marriage and telling Natsuki the truth. In the end, we all agreed that we should wait for the right time, meaning after this Foundation Day since I will be free from the workload. Meanwhile, postponing the marriage isn't that hard because both Natsu and I aren't ready to have our own family since we're still in High School. We would like to enjoy our youth first. I don't mind marrying Natsu since he's the type of man to take good care of his woman, he even took care of me and these ladies here while planning for the Foundation Day. He made me food when I'm too busy to cook, he reminds me to have a good rest when I'm staying up late, for sure he's a lovable person to me but the confession Natsuki did has made me confused all of a sudden.
Yukino and Haruka already knew about Natsu and agreed to have him in the Student Council as Reito's errand boy but because the possibility of conflict between the twins might occur if they'll meet so I decided to refrain Haruka to issue detentions to Natsuki to avoid the possibility of Natsuki entering the Council Room when Natsu's around.
"That's what Yukino are here for Haruka, she can give us her thoughts about this."
"But why Yukino?" Natsu asked.
"Yukino is capable of reading someone. As a person who sometimes spend her vacant time at a karaoke party together with Mai and the gang, she has the power to approve my judgment regarding this matter."
"Kaichou, it is true that I spent my vacant time with the others but I am having a second thought about your idea."
"Yukino just tell me right now, is Natsuki can sing or dance?" I asked her.
"I think she can do both since Natsuki's flexibility is incredible, she'll learn dancing in the process however she isn't the type of person who can open her heart easily. I think expressing an emotion through a song is kinda impossible."
"That's all I wanted to hear."
"You're being weird bubuzuke."
[Natsuki's POV]
"What!? Are you insane?! we're like walking to hell mutt."
"Stop acting like a baby and help me."
"No! You stop acting like a spoilt kid. Pulling a prank on that Fukukaichou dog is like playing with a zombie. Oh hell, it may be worst!"
"Natsuki, I think Nao is right. Shizuru's fangirls approved their engagement already. If you pull a prank on him perhaps you will be facing their wrath."
"I don't care about their engagement and their fans. I will do whatever I can--"
"As long as it isn't illegal then do whatever you want then." before I can finish my sentence, Mai interrupted me.
If you're wondering what we've been up to? Well after Miyu's word yesterday I contacted the gang and have Nao help on pulling a prank to Kanzaki's servant. I am afraid of the consequences I might face after this but whatever, If I can't have Shizuru then no one can. Simple as 1-2-3.
"I won't run away. This time I'll do my best to have her heart." I whispered to no one.
"Are you saying something?" Mai asked but instead of answering her I just smiled softly at her.
PULLING A PRANK TO KANZAKI'S SERVANT.
DAY 1: Put a slime
I woke up earlier than usual to put a lot and lots of slime to his locker while hiding somewhere to witness her reaction but I was disappointed when he just smiled at Shizuru apologetically while rubbing the back of his head. Shizuru just sighed, reached out her hands with tissues to wipe the slime on his stained uniform.
"Damn it Shizuru." I whispered.
DAY 2: PIT HOLE.
From the moment he steps his feet to this campus, Shizuru and him spend a lot of time at the garden where we usually meet to have lunch. I don't remember when it started but Shizuru stopped making my lunch and even cooking my meals. She's no longer dropping by at my apartment to check on me but it's okay. I'm not hurt, maybe a little. Whatever, I'll just make sure that your high school days are hell.
After that, they stood up and when he's about to step on the pit hole that me and Nao made last night, Shizuru grab his arms and pulled him closer that's when a shriek reached my ears. It was Haruka who fell.
"Who the hell did this whore!?"
"Hole Haruka-chan."
How the heck she appeared suddenly without me knowing?
LIFE SUCKS.
DAY 3: WRONG SIGN.
As a delinquent, I was numb to their complaints and I will be using that to secure my win.
"KYAAAAAAAH! PERVERT!!" one of the girls, inside the bathroom, yelled while throwing anything to Natsu.
"I-I-I'M SO SORRY!" I saw him went out of the bathroom, face flushed.
Well, we simply change the female to a male sign on the bathroom then I assigned Nao to distract him and completely delayed his pee. When he can't hold on any longer, releasing the liquid will be on his mind to notice the 'MALE' sign hanging at the bathroom door.
"Oh hell mutt, that was fun." Nao lazily commented while patting my back.
"I know right."
DAY 4: OIL ON THE FLOOR
I paid someone to relay a message to him saying Kanzaki wants to see him in the storage room. I made sure the student I asked is a middle school student to avoid the chances of him recognizing the person that I asked.
"Reito-san? Someone said you wa- AAAACCCKKKK!"
And BOOOM! He fell on the floor from the oil I put.
DAY 5: PIE
Since most of the door in this academy is a sliding door, I set up a trap, that when someone opens the door on our classroom, a pie will fly to his face.
S P L A T
"B-bull's pie?" He mumbled while looking shocked at Haruka who was hit by the pie.
My life sucks.
For the whole week of pulling a prank on him, I never imagined I have the patience of seeing his smile. From the way he reacts to my pranks is like he's expecting all of this and Shizuru's assistance in cleaning the aftermaths of my pranks made it harder.
Shizuru.
Shizuru.
Shizuru, I love you.
[Shizuru's POV]
"Seriously Shizuru, you never told me how skillful she is on pranking. I never thought that she is resourceful on pulling a common old pranks on me."
"For the nth time I'm sorry but even myself, don't know she can do that."
"Bubuzuke you knew all of this?! how can you calmly sip your 'pee' when we're suffering from that stupid pranks!?"
"It's tea Haruka-chan." Yukino immediately corrected her.
Right, sometimes Haruka fell on Natsuki's trap that was meant for Natsu but I purposely took my time on preventing this because I have thought of a plan.
"Forgive me Haruka if I acted late since I still have to gather some evidences ."
At that moment Yuuki Nao lazily opened the Council Room door then confidently sat at my swivel chair that was meant for the Student Council President.
"So? What's up? Is there something I did aside from skipping class!?"
Before Haruka could utter an exasperated snort, I immediately speak.
"Assisting Kuga Natsuki on violating the school policy."
"Huh? Is that all you have to tell?"
"I have gathered all the evidences of the violated rules starting from your sudden appearance to Natsu when he is about to relieved his bladder, an upperclassmen claimed that a certain redhead and midnight haired was spotted after class at the garden. A middle school student admitted to receive a tremendous amount of money as a payment to relay a message to Natsu."
"If you have enough evidences to suspend me then why only called for me?"
"You see, I'll let you off the hook if you'll help me on my plan?"
"What do you want?"
"Make Natsuki sing on the Foundation Day."
"What made you think I would agree?"
"Because your school records are at stake."
"I will accept that deal if you answer my question."
"What is it?"
"What do you think of the mutt?" she asked then back facing me.
Mutt? Does she mean Natsuki?
"She's trustworthy." I simply answered.
"More like a pain my ass." she smiled bitterly and turned to look at me then spoke.
"Instead of letting me off the hook, why don't you put your trust in me and let me do the work." she then left, leaving us shocked. The Yuuki Nao asking me to put my trust in her and let her do the work? How strange of her.
"What was that?" Haruka said deciding to break the silence.
"Mission Accomplished. I made a deal with her to convince Natsuki to sing at the evening concert on the Foundation Day." I answered while silently reading at the message I receive from Mother.
"That was incredible," Natsu commented while Yukino adjusted her eyeglasses.
"But Shizuru, do you think Nao can convince Natsuki?"
"I trust her."
[Natsuki's POV]
"What the fuck Nao!"
"Mutt you asked my help remember!?"
"I only asked for the pranks not on helping me sing for Shizuru!"
"Oneechan, I think Nao has a point. Your voice isn't that bad as well. All you have to do is express your feelings through the song then perhaps Shizuru will receive the message."
"Natsuki, if you don't want to accept my proposition then continue on that pranks alone. Fujino isn't idiot not to realize your doings since most of the Student Council members suffered from your childish acts."
I looked at Alyssa but she avoided my gaze as if telling me to accept it since I didn't have much of a choice.
"Natsuki, we're here for you." Mai finally said.
"Aoi and I will do everything to help you with your performance," Chie said.
"If I accepted that proposition will you all be there to support me until the end?"
"You know we can't leave you alone."
"Then I will but what should I do?"
"Let me handle the rest, all you have to do is decide what to sing."
And that's what happen. Here I am browsing for a song to sing, honestly I don't know what to pick since I don't usually sing. I helped Alyssa a lot on her vocal training but I never thought I would be standing on her position someday, and that someday is the Foundation Day concert."
"Have you already choose a song oneechan?" Alyssa appeared behind the door, holding a cup of tea and a piece of cookies.
"Not yet Princess."
"Nao said choose 2 songs. Can I pick one?"
"You will be singing?"
"No oneechan, I have to perform for the choir in the afternoon."
"What should I sing?" I asked her.
[Shizuru's POV]
"That was brilliant dear." Mother commented when I told them about what deal I have made with Nao.
"Nao said, she will be singing 2 songs."
"Shizuru dear, about the marriage. We thought about this for a while but can we have your answer after telling Natsuki?"
"Okay, then Father." My parents are being traditional people again, planning about marriage when I'm only a high school student.
*Doorbells*
"I think that was Natsu. I'll go get it." I hurriedly open the front door but I was surprised to see Natsuki standing at my porch shivering from the cold wind while clutching her pet wolf?
"Natsuki what are you doing here? Come inside you might freeze there."
"Uhm I-I was only walking my buddy here. Her name is Kiyoran and thank you but I think we should go home since you've been expecting someone."
"Oh my what a cute pet you have there, are you feeling well Kiyo-chan? I mean it Natsuki, you can come inside, mother is in the living room having tea. Join us."
"I just came from the vet. I saw her last night when I went to the convenience store to run any errands for Alyssa. Again, we should go now, I dropped by to see you."
'To see you' her words are like a beautiful melody that echoing inside my head. Beautiful but terrifying.
That simple 3 words made my heart beats faster. What is this? Should I go to our family cardiologist?
"We should go now Shizuru. Have a good night. I-- you."
"Ara? What did you say Natsuki? I didn't hear your last words."
"I said Goodbye, Shizuru."
When Natsuki and Kiyo-chan disappeared from my sight, I went back inside only to be greeted by my father.
Goodbye, Shizuru? Natsuki never used that word to me not even once, she would often use 'See you' or just smirk.
"Is that Natsu?" Mother asked when I returned.
"No, it's Natsuki. There is something she wanted to ask about the concert." I lied.
"Very well."
[Natsuki's POV]
"Ne Kiyoran, I'm sorry if Shizuru didn't notice your name. Maybe she's busy for the upcoming Foundation Day."
I think I'm crazy talking to my pet. Damn It's so cold. I should've accept her offer to join them having a tea.
"Woof!" she responded then licked my face.
"You know, I have the feeling that she's waiting for that Kruger."
"Do you think that Kruger will be a perfect husband for Zuru?"
"Woooof!"
"I guess so, Shizuru is a precious gem, her curly chestnut hair that gracefully dancing to the wind, her mesmerizing crimsons that drag me to unknown dimensions, her soft and beautiful smile, I want to protect her delicate but strong body, the addicting Kyoto-ben, gosh everything about her are perfect, though, sometimes she's weird. There's no way that Kruger won't take care of her. If that bastard will make Shizuru cry I swear to God I won't show any mercy."
"Wooof!"
"Geez, I'm crazy for talking to a wolf but seriously Kiyoran what else could I do to make Shizuru mine?"
"Wooof Woooof!" Kiyoran responded as if she understood me.
"Geez I didn't know loving that woman is like holding a blue rose with hundreds of thorns, beautiful but painful and yet its beauty and uniqueness are worth the pain."
"Woof!"
Meanwhile...
"Natsuki is in love with Shizuru?" the lone figure hiding behind the post whispered, looking intently at the retreating back of Natsuki.
