Woo Bin put a cloth-pin on his nose and disposed the dirty diapers.
"Hello there, you must be wondering why the supremely handsome, enormously talented, hilarious and charming, the great Song Woo Bin has poop on his shoes. It all began yesterday afternoon when Ga Eul came to meet me in the F4 lounge."
Yesterday
I was dusting under the sofa when the door to the F4 lounge opened.
"Sunbae," Ga Eul eyed my dress.
I was wearing a frilly blue French maid dress with capris underneath. Perhaps she found it to be a strange ensemble.
"It is my turn to clean the F4 lounge." I pointed towards the small whiteboard on the corner. "I found that this outfit helps spice up the boring process. Plus, it's easy to move around in."
Ga Eul went to examine the white-board. The F4 cleaning schedule was written on it.
"We have been cleaning the F4 lounge ourselves, ever since we have gotten it."
"It says today is Yi Jeong's turn."
"We took a poll about the sexiest F4 member and people voted that I was much sexier. You know how Yi Jeong is, he was upset. I felt bad so I offered to do this for him."
Ga Eul rolled her eyes but refrained from commenting. "Is Yi Jeong here? He is not answering his phone."
I looked up at her. The poor girl had no idea about Yi Jeong's insane plan of avoiding her. It was better to spare her the details until Yi Jeong got his brain cells back.
"He is out on some pottery related work. Why?"
"I wanted to invite you guys to dinner. Today is Chef Lee's mother's birthday," She tucked her hair behind her ear. "Every year, on her birthday, he comes to Korea and makes the dishes himself. I have been saving for two years to eat at his restaurant on this day. I was hoping both of you can come. I have invited Jae Kyung Unnie as well. I would have called Jan Di too but she has a late night class."
I told her that I would pass on the message.
_oOo_
The line outside the restaurant was 500 meters long. "Ga Eul, we have reservations, right?"
"This line is for the people participating in the contest. They're trying to get Chef to taste their dish." Ga Eul took out a casserole. "I think I'm too late for that."
"So this water, where do you get it from? A water-fall? The supermarket next door or do you create it in your lab?" I asked.
"Excuse me, sir?" The waiter looked at me as if I had told him that I ran a black-market eyeball business.
"Just kidding," I turned to Ga Eul. "You would think that a world famous chef would have a staff with a better sense of humor."
Ga Eul was too busy staring at the exit and then her casserole to pay me much attention. I stood up and picked up the casserole.
"I'll try to sneak it in. I'm good at stealth."
I was not good at stealth. I snuck in to the back and peeked through the window. It would not budge. So I headed for the emergency exit. There were guards posted outside. I called up my bodyguards and asked for help but they were unhelpful, like usual.
"Young master, breaking into a restaurant does not count as an emergency."
Assholes. I was about to form my rebuttal when one of the guards posted at the door came hurrying towards me. I will spare you the gory details but know this, I failed. With my head hanging in shame, I made my way back to the table.
Ga Eul was busy filling everyone in on the details of the contest.
"I had entered two years before but...I didn't clear the second round." She moved the food around in her plate
"Don't worry, Ga Eul," Jae Kyung looked up at her. "If you don't clear it the first time, we will just enter you as a contestant from another city."
"They will remember. They filled a form and stuff," Yi Jeong said.
"So? She is not the only Chu Ga Eul in Korea," I retorted. "By the way, I can't believe you went ahead and ordered without me." I took some shrimp from his plate. "Yum, it's good."
Yi Jeong tapped his foot. "I have had better."
_oOo_
So how did I end up from the fancy restaurant to Ga Eul's house with dirty diapers in my hand? Just like you, I too was confused when Yi Jeong came to the F4 lounge with five cartons of grape juice. In hindsight, that should have been my first clue. As I drank my third glass of juice, Yi Jeong decided to drop the bomb on me.
"Woo Bin, Ga Eul has the second round of the contest tomorrow."
"Yeah."
"She is finishing up her practice dish." Yi Jeong poured me another glass. "But she forgot she had a babysitting job so I volunteered our services. I'll see you at her house in half an hour. Bye." He shot out from there.
"So that, my friend, is how I ended up here, babysitting six year old Min Sun and one year old baby Chin Sun, The end."
"Woo Bin, stop talking to the photo of yourself and take out the trash, and while you are at it, clean your shoes. They smell," Yi Jeong yelled.
_oOo_
Min Sun turned off the TV and walked up to Yi Jeong, "Oppa, are you Ga Eul Unnie's boyfriend?"
A slight blush crept on his cheeks. "No, we are just friends."
She then walked up to Woo Bin. "Are you Ga Eul Unnie's boyfriend?"
"What? No. Don't be ridiculous."
She then walked up to Jae Kyung . "Are you Ga Eul Unnie's girlfriend? " She shrugged. "What? I saw it on TV."
"I got this," Woo Bin whispered to Jae Kyung. "Min Sun," he clapped his hands together. "Time for bed."
Min Sun stared at him as if he had confessed to owning a toy shredding factory.
Woo Bin ran his hands through his hair. "Well, do you want to go poopie?"
Min Sun took out her toy phone. "Hello? Yes, Ga Eul Unnie couldn't watch me today so I 'm stuck with these new weird people. But don't worry, me and Kat will be fine." She turned to look right next to her. There was nobody there. Woo Bin had no idea who she was talking about. Min Sun turned to Woo Bin. "I'm hungry. I would like my cookies now."
"Woo Bin, we can't give her cookies now. It's like twelve in the afternoon."
"Nonsense, Yi Jeong. Let her live a little."
"Yi Jeong Oppa," Min Sun tugged at his sleeve. "You are stepping on Kat's toes."
Yi Jeong looked at her with confusion.
"My friend , Kat, she is standing next to you."
"Here you go." Woo Bin handed her two cookies and a glass of milk.
"You didn't get Kat a cookie."
Yi Jeong nudged Woo Bin. "Kat is her imaginary friend."
"Don't make her mad bro," the other boy whispered.
"What?"
"She can probably hear us."
"Who? Kat? Woo Bin, I thought you were well pass that age."
"Dude, there is no age to stop believing in the paranormal."
Yi Jeong took the baby in his arms and left.
_oOo_
"Can't we just feed her mashed up cookies?" asked Woo Bin. "She doesn't like these steamed vegetables her parents packed."
The baby had dodged Woo Bin's several attempts at feeding.
"I don't think we can feed her cookies for lunch. Let me ask Ga Eul."
Before Jae Kyung could make it to the kitchen, she was stopped by Yi Jeong. "Don't disturb Ga Eul. We got this."
Yi Jeong took out his phone and proceeded to dial a number while Jae Kyung took the baby from Woo Bin.
"Hello, would you happen to carry baby food?" Yi Jeong asked over the phone. "No, I don't want mashed potatoes. I want certified baby food. I'm not paying that much for mashed potatoes." Yi Jeong hung up the phone. "Best restaurant in Korea! My ass. Let me try another one. Hello, I want certified baby food. What do you mean you don't carry it? What are they going to eat?"
"Come on, try it. It's delicious." Jae Kyung made a zig-zag pattern with her arms. "An airplane coming through. Waeowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww."
The guys watched in silence as she put the spoon in the child's mouth. For a split second, there was peace, then the baby spit out the food on Jae Kyung's face.
Woo Bin brought Jae Kyung a handkerchief. "Yi Jeong, I'm going to ask Ga Eul."
"Wait, I have one more option." Yi Jeong closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. He began to type a number on his dial-pad but then erased it. He then re-typed the number and handed the phone to Woo Bin. "You call him. I can't do it."
Woo Bin gave him a puzzled look.
"Chef Lee. Call his restaurant."
Woo Bin hit dial. "Hi, do you have baby food?"
"Certified baby food," Yi Jeong corrected.
Woo Bin glared at him. "You do? Yes, I would like a home delivery. " Woo Bin dictated the address and hung up. "It should be here in less than thirty minutes."
"So how's everything going? All okay?" asked Ga Eul as she walked towards the group.
"Yes, we had a slight problem feeding little Chin Sun over here. However, we called Chef Lee's restaurant and he happened to carry baby food," said Woo Bin.
"Certified baby food. Because your baby deserves the best," added Jae Kyung. "It'll be here in a few minutes."
"How many nineteen year olds do you meet who are so…sensitive," sighed Ga Eul as she twirled a strand of loose hair.
Yi Jeong pointed at the bowl in her hands. "So, what have you got there?"
"Oh yeah. Could you guys taste this?"
They proceeded to take a bite.
"This is great. You really got something going," said Jae Kyung.
"Would eat it off the floor," added Woo Bin.
"Ga Eul, this is really awe…nice. I mean its whatevs. Sup."
Ga Eul put the spoon back in the bowl, set it on the table, and sped towards Yi Jeong. When she was an inch away from him, with concerned eyes, she held his arm and asked "it's bad, isn't it? It's okay. I can take it. Tell me. I'll go start over."
"No, of course not. It's perfect."
"Okay, I have one more batch. Come and try it please. Tell me what it needs."
"Okay." Yi Jeong followed Ga Eul to the kitchen.
Jae Kyung turned towards Woo Bin. "What was that about?"
"It's this dumb thing where he is planning on distancing himself from her because apparently he might destroy her life."
_oOo_
Jae Kyung was sitting on the sofa while Min Sun placed two plastic cups on the table and sprinkled some glitter in them. She then filled her plastic teapot with water and poured it into the cups.
Min Sun pretended to take a sip and then focused on Jae Kyung. "I need some advice, woman to woman."
Jae Kyung gestured her to continue.
Min Sun fiddled with the hem of her dress. "It's about a boy. We have been inseparable since we were kids. My friends think he might," she gestured Jae Kyung to lean in closer. "He might love me," she whispered.
Jae Kyung leaned her chin on her hand. "Well, how do you feel about this young man."
For a few minutes the girl said nothing. "I don' know. He is a lot of fun but I don't want to complicate our friendship. And other kids would tease us so much."
At that point, Woo Bin made his way to join them.
Min Sun eyed him with disapproval. "This is a ladies only tea party."
Woo Bin pulled out a chair and sat two steps away from the sofa.
"Well. Friendship is an important thing," Jae Kyung leaned in close. "Plus you are very young and he hasn't confessed anything. So I don't think you should jump to any conclusions. Enjoy his company as a friend. A good friendship isn't easy to come by these days."
"I'll take that into consideration. Now that I have an adult's opinion, Kat's opinion and my snake's opinion I only need to ask Tae Won. She is my Bff."
_oOo_
"It's so confusing. Some days I want to tell her. I wake up in the morning and I think that today's the day but then something happens, and I remember why I have decided to keep her at arm's length. She is this close to achieving her dreams. Would it be fair to cut her wings now? Would it? But then again I keep slipping up. And I don't know what to do."
"Really Yi Jeong? Traumatizing a baby? She'll probably need therapy when she gets older. I will get started on her trust fund."
Chin Sun squirted her milk bottle in Yi Jeong's face.
"See, even the one year old thinks you're being ridiculous."
"Did you have a reason for coming in here?"
"Well you know how Min Sun and I were playing hide-and-seek."
"Yeah."
"Well she hid too well and now I can't find her. I looked everywhere. Inside the cabinets, the cupboard, underneath the bed. Inside the washing machine."
"Seriously, Woo Bin? Go look for her. Don't make things more difficult than they are."
"Special delivery!" Jae Kyung escorted a lump covered in sand. On closer inspection, it turned out to be Min Sun. "She was hiding in a hole in the backyard."
"Woah .That's a great hiding spot. You got talent, kid."
"Woo Bin, a word," said Yi Jeong pulling Woo Bin aside.
"The house is covered in mud, and so is Min Sun."
"Well obviously. She hid in a hole. What did you expect?"
Yi Jeong pinched the bridge of his nose and in his calmest voice said, "Fill the tub. I'll be there once I put the baby down for a nap."
"Yi Jeong. I'm sure you're a very attractive man but I don't see you that way."
"I don't have time for this and neither do you."
"I'll get the mop," said Woo Bin.
_oOo_
Jae Kyung was wiping Min Sun's hair with a towel when Woo Bin found her.
"Jae, there you are. Your phone is vibrating."
"Hey! My hair is being styled. You need to stop interrupting our lady moments."
Jae Kyung took her phone from Woo Bin and turned off the alarm. After finishing with Min Sun's hair, she took out her purse from the hook on the door and made her way to the exit. "Woo Bin, I have a test in half an hour. I got to go. I'll be back as soon as I'm done."
Jae Kyung dashed out of there before Woo Bin could offer to drop her. He hated the idea of her taking a taxi or worse, the bus. Min Sun did not let him dwell on that for long, though. A minute after Jae Kyung had left she pulled at his sleeves. "Jae Kyung Unnie left. I wanted to play dress up." Min Sun fluttered her lashes.
Woo Bin sat in front of her as she applied eyeshadow on his cheeks. "Min Sun, I think that goes on my eyes."
"It looks better like this."
"I agree, Min Sun," Yi Jeong pointed his phone at Woo Bin.
"If you capture that picture I will end you, So Yi Jeong."
Yi Jeong put away his phone and knelt down to Min Sun's level. "Min Sun, did you ask Ga Eul Unnie if you could borrow her make-up?"
"It's not Unnie's."
"So you brought your own?"
"No." She pointed to the master bedroom. "I took it from there."
The boys ran to Ga Eul's parent's room and found it in a mess. The drawers were open. Clothes were scattered on the floor and powder was spilled on the dresser, worst of all, the mirror was cracked.
"We have got to replace it! Ga Eul could get into so much trouble," Yi Jeong said.
Woo Bin turned to Min Sun who had followed in after them. He knelt down to Min Sun's level, looked straight into her eyes and asked, "You broke a mirror? That's seven years of bad luck."
Yi Jeong gave his friend the stink eye. "Not THE TIME Woo Bin."
"I will take out the car."
Yi Jeong, with the two kids, followed Woo Bin to the car when the boys made a discovery. "We don't have a baby seat."
"Do we really need one? Is it all that necessary?"
Yi Jeong glared in response.
"I'll go get one."
_oOo_
Yi Jeong decided to go and check in on Ga Eul. With all the stress of the competition, telling her that they broke her parent's mirror wasn't something she needed. They had to be discreet and hopefully get this over with before she found out. She seemed busy kneading dough while writing down some notes on her notepad. Seeing her occupied with her work, Yi Jeong tip-toed out of the house and went outside to wait for Woo Bin.
"So I brought the baby seat and this baby-belt carrier thingy." Woo Bin brought out two other bags from the trunk. "And all this other stuff."
"Woo Bin, why did you get all these clothes. She won't be staying with us forever."
"But look at this t-shirt. It's so tiny and cute." Woo Bin held up the tiny pink shirt. "By the way, I ran into some kids from Shinwa on my way here."
"That must have been awkward."
"Yeah, they think I'm going to be a new dad. So you got to find me a girl now, Yi Jeong. Because that's the end of my dating life," he pointed his index finger at Yi Jeong "It's all your fault." Woo Bin snuck into the house and put the bags on the sofa.
Ga Eul poked her head out of the kitchen and asked "The end of your dating life? Woo Bin sunbae, have you finally confronted your feelings?"
"Woo Bin rolled his eyes. "I think all that cooking has gotten to your head, Ga Eul."
Ga Eul put on her coat. "I need to go to the store for a bit. You guys will be okay?"
"Yeah. Sure you be on your way." The guys shooed her out of the door.
_oOo_
Woo Bin held up a large circular mirror. "Well, this seems similar enough."
"Woo Bin, It's a different shape."
"Well, it's shiny just like the other one. Don't go there, Min Sun. Come on. Hold my hand."
Yi Jeong ignored him and continued to examine the other mirrors. "This one is kind of similar." The baby strapped to Yi Jeong's belt chose that moment to spit on it.
Woo Bin took out his handkerchief and proceeded to clean it. "Hey, bro."
Yi Jeong, who was examining a brown rectangular mirror nodded.
"This just occurred to me. You have Chef Lee's number memorized?"
"What are you talking about?"
"When we were trying to order the baby food, you had typed out the number without any source."
"So? I have a good memory. I remember everyone's number."
"Really?" Woo Bin stepped closer. "What's mine?"
"323-STUPID-STUPID." Yi Jeong put the mirror he was looking at down.
"That's 15 digits. No phone number has 15 digits."
"Should we talk about the number you have memorized?" Yi Jeong clicked a photo of one of the mirrors. "Dial that number and ask her if this is similar enough to the one we broke."
" I don't know what you are talking about."
Woo Bin texted Jae Kyung that picture and waited for a reply. Ten minutes later, his phone began to ring.
"Hi, Jae."
"You guys are buying Ga Eul a mirror? As far as gifts go it's a little unconventional, but if Yi Jeong gives it with enough love, I guess it won't matter."
"Not exactly." Woo Bin explained what had happened.
"No, Woo Bin. This is not similar enough. The border on that one was thicker. I think it was a little bigger too. We need to find an exact match. I dont want to get Ga Eul in trouble. I'm done with my test. I will get there to help you as soon as I can."
Woo Bin hung up the phone. "Ok, Yi Jeong. Apparently this isn't good enough. Keep looking. I'll go and check out that aisle."
_oOo_
Yi Jeong was examining another mirror. It looked similar enough but getting a second opinion wouldn't hurt. He dialed Woo Bin's number but it went to voicemail. It was times like these where he wished he could have had anyone else but Woo Bin for company. He checked the next aisle and then two others with no sign of him. After what seemed like hours, he finally spotted Woo Bin and Min Sun relaxing on separate massage chairs.
"Hey, bro. These chairs are soooo comfortable."
Yi Jeong stopped the backrest vibrator and glared at him.
Woo Bin bent down and picked up a bag. "This is the thanks I get for buying these gifts."
He took out a heart-shaped box of chocolates and handed it to Yi Jeong.
Yi Jeong stood stumped for a minute. "Uhhh…thanks…I guess. I like chocolates. Could do without the box though."
Woo Bin shook his head in annoyance. "They are not for you." He took out a card from the bag. "You are suppose to give them to Ga Eul along with this card."
Yi Jeong opened the card to find a red pop-out heart with the words 'Be Mine' printed underneath. Yi Jeong smacked Woo Bin with it and then dragged him out of the chair. "Bring Min Sun and follow me back to the mirror aisle. You have already wasted enough time."
Woo Bin rejected the mirror Yi Jeong had chosen and then went to examine others.
He stopped in front of a shoe-shaped mirror. "Let's just get her this. It's much cooler than their last one."
Yi Jeong put his palm on his forehead. "How did I get here? How did I become the dad of three kids."
"How? I'll show you." Woo Bin took Yi Jeong's hand in his and made a high pitch voice. "Yi Jeong," He took another step towards him. "Yi Jeong, I have to prepare for the cooking contest would you please watch our children for a day." Woo Bin fluttered his eyelashes for effect and squeezed Yi Jeong's hand a little harder.
Yi Jeong retracted his hand. "Woo Bin…"
He was cut off by Min Sun. "ohhhh, Yi Jeong Oppa and Ga Eul Unnie sitting on a tree."
At that point, the baby began to cry.
"Yi Jeong, it looks like Chin Sun objects to this union," Woo Bin teased.
"This is all your fault, Woo Bin. Your teasing made her cry!"
"Don't be ridiculous. She is a baby. My teasing had nothing to do with it. You probably jabbed her with your elbow."
"Well, it was after your skit that it started!"
At that point Min Sun latched on to Woo Bin's leg. "Woo Bin Oppa, Woo Bin Oppa, massage chair again."
Chin Sun's cries got louder and louder and Min Sun's shrieks got more intense.
"You guys look like you could use a hand," said an elderly woman.
She gestured for Yi Jeong to let her take the baby in her arms. "Ohh, who is the little fussy-pants." She patted the baby on her head and rocked her back and forth. After a few minutes the cries ceased.
"Thank you so much," Yi Jeong said.
"It's alright . I remember when my son and his boyfriend adopted a baby. Their house was always a mess. It's no trouble at all. I know how hard it is to be a new parent."
The boys were too shocked to protest.
She handed the baby back to Yi Jeong. "Forgive me, I have been out of the country for a while. Living with my son in Canada. I wasn't aware that this had become legal in Korea."
"Yes, it was recent. Very recent, "said Woo Bin.
Yi Jeong thanked the lady and then dragged his 'family' to the other end of the aisle.
"Yi Jeong," Woo Bin stopped in his tracks. "I just had an epiphany. It's illegal, that's why that cop lady asked me to step out of the car."
"What cop lady?"
"Remember, that day when we were speeding to the hospital to see your mom and I told the cop that we were having a baby."
"I don't have time for this," Yi Jeong took out his phone and took another look at the mirror. "None of these mirrors look similar enough."
It was then that Yi Jeong noticed a mirror that looked almost the same, hidden behind a large circular mirror.
He picked it up to examine. "It's a perfect match."
Yi Jeong put his hand up for a high five. But Woo Bin had other ideas.
Woo Bin outstretched his arms. "Bro hug."
"Woo Bin, there is no such thing. Don't make this weird." Yi Jeong took another look at the picture. "Well, it's almost a perfect match. The edges aren't worn out."
Woo Bin took the mirror from him. "Leave that to me." He began to rub the edge of the mirror against the wall.
At that point a store staff member walked towards him. "Sir, you are going to have to buy that."
"I plan to. Why else do you think I'm doing this?"
"He is a big fan of the antiques," said Yi Jeong.
While this was happening, Min Sun had walked away from the group and had made her way to the end of the aisle.
"Look, it's Ga Eul Unnie," She turned back to the group.
Before she could say anything more Woo Bin picked her up, covered her mouth, and ran to the other end of the aisle. He then put her down and knelt in front of her. "Min Sun, I will buy you whatever you want. Please just keep quiet."
"I'm going to see why she's here." Yi Jeong dialed Ga Eul's number. "Hi, Ga Eul. We are fine. We have brought the kids to…the park."
"Yaaaaae. Chin Sun go higher," Woo Bin said. He then gestured Min Sun to laugh. But she didn't cooperate so he settled to do it himself. "Heehaah the swings are so fun!"
"Woo Bin sunbae enjoying the swings?" Ga Eul asked from the other end.
Yi Jeong let out a nervous chuckle. "Well, you know Woo Bin. Always enjoying his heart out instead of helping." Yi Jeong sneered at Woo Bin.
The potter felt a sudden jolt resulting in him being pulled away by the hood of his jacket. Before he could retort, Woo Bin directed his gaze towards Ga Eul who was passing by the area where they were previously. The duo grabbed their respective child, and ran to the men's section of the store, successfully hiding from Ga Eul's line of sight.
"Hello, Yi Jeong? You there?" asked Ga Eul.
"Yeah," Yi Jeong took his phone off mute. "Yeah, Ga Eul so when do you think you will be back?"
"Well, I have already been to three stores but I still don't have everything. And then I started shopping for some crockery as well. I think I will have to hit a few more stores. It will take me at least another hour. I'm so sorry, Yi Jeong."
"No worries," Yi Jeong leaned against the wall and cuddled the baby closer all the while smiling like a teenager. "Take your time."
Yi Jeong hung up the phone and was about to make his way towards the exit when he noticed that they had left the mirror. In panic, the boys dashed to the furniture section without realizing that they had left Min Sun behind. They ran back to get her but the mirror was causing problems. In the end, despite their disapproval, Min Sun decided to hang from the bottom of the mirror, swinging back and forth.
"Weeee," Min Sun giggled.
"This she laughs at but when I needed it she didn't give me one chuckle," said Woo Bin
The clicking of heals made them stop in their tracks.
"Woo Bin," Jae Kyung came towards them.
She pulled Min Sun down from the mirror and then stooped to examine it. "It's a match." She then took the baby in her arms. "Well, you guys take this back to her house while I'll take the kids." She took another look at the mirror. "I think this will fit in your car, Woo Bin."
"No, you take the car, Jae Kyung. You have the kids," said Yi Jeong.
"Yeah, if someone attacks you on a bus then it'll be difficult to fight them off with a baby in your arms."
If Jae Kyung found this comment odd then she didn't let it show.
"You sure you guys would be okay?"
"Yes, now go on. Don't let Ga Eul see you."
"She left already. I saw her exiting."
"Did she see you? You didn't tell her we were here, did you?"
"Yes, Yi Jeong. She did. Because she has nothing better to do with her time than wreck your love life."
"It's ok, Woo Bin." Jae Kyung gave Yi Jeong a reassuring smile. "No, don't worry. She didn't even notice me."
Turning towards Jae Kyung Woo Bin said, "All this time we've been busting our backs for this guy and look at him. Oh mighty Aphrodite! your prestigious assistants get no appreciation these days."
"You mean humble servants. Don't anger the goddess." The duo proceeded to get down on their knees, join their hands together and beg the goddess for forgiveness.
"That's not what I meant to say. Wait what?"
Before Yi Jeong could question them further, Min Sun grabbed onto Jae Kyung's legs.
"Woo Bin Oppa promised to buy me three Barbie dolls, a doll house, and two candy bars."
She turned towards Woo Bin and said, "Right Oppa?"
"Let's go, Jae."
_oOo_
Woo bin and Jae Kyung moved towards the toy section. They thought that it would be a quick purchase but they were beginning to see how wrong that assumption was.
"I like this Barbie with the red hair, and I like the coat with this doctor one so I'll take them for sure. But I can't pick the last one. I like that the swimmer comes with a fish but this princess has much better clothes. What is a girl to do?"
Jae Kyung watched her with a fond smile.
Woo Bin made his way to stand beside her. "Hey, Jae."
Jae Kyung turned towards him.
"I always thought you were the risk taking type."
She looked at him with confusion.
"Back at the house when you were advising Min Sun to not pursue her 'romantic endeavors.' I always pegged you to be kind of spontaneous leap of faith kind of person."
"Well..." Jae Kyung placed Min Sun's rejects back on the shelf. "When it's your best friend, it's not about taking the leap but about settling down and going steady and six year olds are not ready for that yet."
"Oppa," Min Sun handed Woo Bin two Barbie boxes. "Remove the clothes off this one and put it on the swimmer."
"Let's just buy you four instead of three." Suggested Woo Bin.
_oOo_
After Min Sun was satisfied with her purchase, Jae Kyung, along with the kids, drove back to Ga Eul's house. While the guys held onto each end of the mirror and proceeded to walk back.
"Quit walking so fast. It's like you're going to run your way into her heart."
"You catch up. We have to install this in her house before she gets back."
"Quit running! Easy for you. You're holding the lighter end."
"Seriously? The lighter end? That makes no sense."
"You're holding the filed edges while I'm holding the pointy, stabby one."
"Song Woo Bin. Jae Kyung is handling two kids by herself. The house is a mess. We have to fix this mirror on the wall. All before Ga Eul gets here. Stop being the pain in my ass you've been for the past fourteen years."
"You're mean," said Woo Bin as he quickened his pace.
_oOo_
Tired from their day out, Mr. and Mrs. Chu made it straight for their bedroom where they were greeted by a surprise.
"Something is different," commented Mr. Chu.
"It's the mirror. It's brand new. Ga Eul brought us a new mirror?"
"Perhaps it's a belated anniversary gift."
"It's a strange choice for a gift."
"Perhaps Woo Shin suggested it."
While this was happening, Chin Hae was having his world torn apart.
"I can't BELIEVE THIS," He shrieked. "Who filled my hole!"
