It's Kiss Day

23rd of May, Kiss Day.

If anybody asks Yae about the day, she'd say it's just a day like any other, but the fact that it's "Kiss Day" gives her the perfect pretext to try and kiss her very easily embarrassed girlfriend every time she has an opportunity.

Not that she doesn't try to do it at any other day or time, but today even more.

So like a predator searching for her prey in the middle of a crowded street, Yae looks out for Sara knowing that the general should be around on her daily patrol. And soon enough, she finds a tall dark purple haired woman walking outstandingly in between the sea of citizens of Inazuma.

A smirk spreads across the lips of the pink haired woman, before she quickens her pace to reach the general's side, linking her arm with Sara's feeling her tensing up surprised by the sudden motion, before she notices who is beside her and relaxes.

- Walk me to work, my general?

Yae asks her playfully yet with innocence laced in her voice, and Sara can't help but smile softly at her.

- Of course.

It's the only thing the general says as she accompanies her girlfriend to the Yae Publishing House, pausing at the entrance once they arrive.

- Thank you~!

Yae singsongs standing on her tiptoes to leave a kiss on her girlfriend's lips, only to find herself kissing Sara's cheek instead, seeing how her girlfriend just turned her face around at the last second too embarrassed as to be kissed in public. And even though it's not the kiss Yae aims for, she lets it go and gets inside her office to start planning her next kiss.

But after several discarded ideas given Sara's bashful nature, Yae can't help but sigh heavily as she focuses instead on the small pile of drafts waiting for her to be read and corrected, taking one of them in her hands to start working for real.

A couple of hours go by, before a knock on her door pulls Yae out of her interesting reading, gazing up just in time to see her beloved girlfriend peeking her head in with a timid smile adorning her lips as she shows the pink haired woman the bento box she brought with her.

- I've brought you your lunch – Sara says softly as she enters, leaving the door slightly open.

- Why thank you, my sweet caring little bird.

Yae teases her girlfriend fondly, enjoying to see the light blush tinting Sara's cheeks upon the affectionate nickname she always calls her for, while she walks closer to take the bento box in her hand and leave a short kiss on the corner of Sara's lips after miscalculating her aim.

Yae barely has time to lament herself for her miscalculation, when she observes her girlfriend starting to leave.

- Wait, aren't we having lunch together? – she asks distraught, seeing Sara giving her a sad smile in return.

- I can't, sorry. I need to attend a meeting and finish some reports that I have to hand over today – Sara answers her afflicted, stepping closer to leave a kiss on her forehead, before stepping back – but I'll be seeing you later.

She promises the editor-in-chief as she gives her another smile, before the general goes back to the Tenryou Commission Headquarters. Yae for her part, can only sigh dejected, before she closes the door and goes back to her desk, opening the bento box to enjoy the delicious fried tofu and rice meal her girlfriend cooked for her.

And even though Yae didn't got the kiss she wanted and the evening is looming over, she doesn't stop pursuing her kiss, going to Sara's office hours later to finally get it.

Third time's a charm, they say, right?, and Yae is more than determined to make it come true.

The pink haired woman looks one way then another from behind a tree, before she sneaks into the headquarters, running over its rooftops until she sees one of the windows of Sara's office open to get in stealthily, noticing how engrossed the general actually is filling her reports to have even heard her.

A smirk appears on her fox lips at this, watching her diligent girlfriend working for a bit longer, before Yae gets closer to her stealthily like a predator threatening their prey, using a small package resting next to Sara's desk to run and propel herself in her jump so she ends up landing on the papers scattered over Sara's desk, her furry butt sliding along them while sending them to the floor, funnily cute giggles filling the silence reigning over the office until that very moment.

- What… Yae!

Sara exclaims her girlfriend's name as she pulls her hands away in a reflex, looking rather unamused at the terror of fox sat on her reports, before said fox jumps to her face.

- Mmph.

Sara tries to say against the soft fur of her fox girlfriend, hearing her giggling in exchange upon the tickles, before she climbs down to leave a short funny kiss on Sara's lips, a cloud of smoke bursting out as soon as their lips meet, before a pink haired woman appears out of it.

Sara can't help but sigh heavily as her hands quickly find Yae's waist to steady her on her lap.

- Until I finally get my kiss.

Yae complains with a playful grin on her lips as she circles Sara's neck with her hands, feeling her pulling her closer.

- Did you really have to do all this just for a kiss?

Sara asks unamused as she eyes the mess her fox girlfriend did, all her arduous work and reports spread everywhere and all over the floor.

- Of course I had to! Do you perhaps not know what day is today?

Yae asks cheerfully, seeing Sara thinking thoughtfully about what day actually is, thinking if she actually forgot any important date like an anniversary or something, before an expression of pure confusion adorns her cute face.

- No. Please enlighten me.

Sara asks as she gives up, and Yae can't help but roll her eyes as a chuckle escapes her lips because of course her girlfriend wouldn't know about it.

- It's Kiss Day! – she exclaims happily, seeing a frown appearing now on Sara's features.

- Kiss Day? It's that even a thing?

Sara mumbles to herself confused, causing Yae to giggle at how cute her oblivious girlfriend can be, before she wraps her arms tighter around the general's neck.

- It is, and as such, I demand my kiss – Yae demands seriously, hearing Sara sighing heavily as she gazes into her eyes.

- So this is the reason as why you haven't stopped pestering me all day with kisses?

Sara asks seeing her bothering girlfriend on her lap grinning widely in return. This unconsciously draws a soft smile from her, before she sighs and pulls Yae closer to join their lips in a deep kiss that leaves the pink haired woman completely breathless and almost makes her moan, the third time being truly a charm.

- Happy now? Can I go back to work?

Sara asks breathlessly as she gazes at Yae, seeing the smirk on her girlfriend's lips widening mischievously as she tightens her hold around her neck, grazing her nails over the back of it sending shivers down the general's spine.

- Of course not. Kiss Day didn't end yet…

Yae stats playfully with low voice, pulling Sara closer to kiss her deeply, this time eliciting a moan from the diligent general who can't help but wrap her arms tighter around the fox woman's waist to pull her even closer if possible and have her pampering her with more kisses and some nibble here and there, not letting her go back to work for the rest of the Kiss Day.
