(Clementine's Pov)
A week had passed since I had kissed Violet, I tried my best to stay away from her and she didn't bring it up when we were together. Acting like it never happened. But God I couldn't forget the feeling of her kissing me back, it felt so nice, I felt so relaxed with her, but she still thinks I was talking about another person and not her. I was currently over by the playground looking at the boys as they were teaching AJ how to play tether ball. I then hear someone come up next to me and I look to see Violet as she looked to the boys as well. I then looked to AJ as Aasim had picked him up so he could hit the ball hard making it wrap around the pole three times before unwrapping before Tenn hit it.
"Hey um… Ruby wanted to know if you would help her in the greenhouse." Violet says and I nod as I get up and I head to the greenhouse. I could hear Violet behind me and I opened the door to the greenhouse but I don't see Ruby as the door closed.
"Where's Ruby?" I asked.
"I uh… lied, but I'm not going to do anything bad I just… wanted to talk." Violet says and I look to her. She takes a seat on the bench and I look to her as she clasped her hands together.
"Talk about what?" I asked.
"Hm… the uh… the kiss." She says and I rubbed my face a bit and place my hand on my hip.
"Look I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that, I just… I thought we kinda had a silent agreement that we wouldn't bring it up." I say and she nods.
"We kinda did but… I can't get it out of my head." She says.
"Can we forge it happened?" I asked and she looked to me then to the ground as she sighed.
"I… liked it." She says and I look to her.
"What?" I asked.
"I understand you like someone else, but… it felt… nice… you know." She says and I move my hand off my hip as she looked to me.
"But Minerva-."
"Could be dead, could be alive but different, many different scenarios but…. That doesn't change the fact that I liked it when you kissed me." She says and I look to her.
"I still shouldn't have done that." I tell her.
"Cause of the girl you like… I get it." She says and I shake my head as she looked to the ground.
"No… because I'm a hypocrite…. Louis kissed me and-."
"He kissed you?" She asked and I see her get up and she is looking at me.
"… Yeah, a while back." I tell her.
"… The same day you kissed me?" She asked and I nod a bit.
"Yeah." I say and she nods a bit.
"Soo…. Who was better?" She asked and I look at her as if she was crazy and she rubbed the back of her neck and chuckled a bit.
"Sorry, sorry very bad joke." She says and I groaned a bit as I take a seat.
"Stupid fucking feelings." I mutter and I take a breath before I look to her.
"I uh…. Just want to know why." She says and I look at her.
"I… how do I put this." I asked myself and looked to the side a bit as I thought. She didn't rush me which I was happy about. I look to Violet as she was looking to the plants a bit and I look to the ground.
"You're cool… you're nice, funny… you don't automatically try to ask me out you actually wanted to get to know me, even if it was for a purpose of trying to make sure I was safe for your friends and not just… questions on whether I've dated before… it was… is… so much different then the others I've met." I tell her and she looked to me.
"And… I felt safe with you… comfortable with you, and I still do." I tell her and she nods at this and I watch as she looked to the side a bit.
"So that… crush." She says and I watch her more as she points to herself as she looked to me and I nod a bit.
"See… I'm a hypocrite." I laughed a bit and stopped and looked to Violet as she looked to me and she crossed her arms to her chest. She takes a breath and then I see her tap her foot a bit.
"Ok… I don't think you are." She says and I look at her.
"I am though… I-I-I don' like relationships because they've ended up badly, then here I am falling for a-a girl that has a girlfriend basically being a fucking-." I was stopped as Violet kissed me and she pulled back and looked at me as she cupped my cheeks and I look at her.
"You are allowed to have feelings Clem, you can grow out of them, and I... as I said to you before… I liked it." She tells me and I look down.
"Hey… come on look at me Clem." She says so I do. She smiles a bit and she gently strokes her right thumb against my cheek.
"You did nothing wrong, ok?" She asked and I looked down a bit.
"Hey, you did nothing wrong Clem." She tells me and I sighed a bit and nodded a little at this. She moved her hands from my face and I look to her as she crouched down and looked to me.
"Hey turn that frown upside down there." She says and I smile a little and then look away from her.
"Do… you regret it?" She asked.
"No… I just… feel like I did something wrong but… it felt nice you know… different." I tell her and then looked to her.
"Yeah, I get that." She says and I take a breath. I grabbed one of her hands gently and I could feel the calluses on them. Though it should not be a surprise that there is callus. I look to her hands to see some scars. She gripped my hand gently and I look to her a bit as she looked to our hands.
"Sorry just… um… if I make you uncomfortable with any of this." She says.
"No, I'm not I just… don't want you to have to… I just… I don't know." I tell her and she nods.
"I get it, um… would it be ok… in private of course… if we did kiss?" She asked and I nod a bit.
"Yeah… that would be nice." I say and she nods at this and then gets up.
"Fucking crouching hurts." She says and I laughed a bit and then stand up.
"Yeah, I know." I say and we were about to leave but she stopped me and I look to her and she is a bit hesitant but she kissed my cheek and then leaves the greenhouse and I watch her as she leaves. I look back in the greenhouse and take a look at the plants a bit to see that they were growing nicely, I then think over any plans we needed to go over.
"Maybe we can practice what we will do." I mutter and I go look in the science portion of the greenhouse and look at the chemicals a bit and shake my head. I end up leaving the greenhouse and I go over to the others as they were looking at the weapons a bit and I look to the guns we had.
"Training?" I asked.
"Yeah, we were thinking about it but… it's been almost two weeks." Aasim says and I nod. I looked to the gate a bit and saw some Walkers in the area and I looked to the ammunition we had and picked up a box and looked at it.
"I was thinking we could plan out what exactly we will do when they do come." I suggest and look to them.
"Sure, sounds better than wasting any bullets." Omar says and I nod at this.
"Ok so let's say they are dumb enough to come from the front gate." I start off and we get to the positions where we could take cover. The only thing we didn't have in mind was if Marlon was going to have a gun or if he was to not be shown.
"Lock him in the cellar." Mitch says and I look over to Marlon as he and Louis were at the table talking to each other. I look to the others as they were sitting around in random spots they picked and I see Tenn, Willy, and AJ hiding in the bushes and AJ even laughing as Tenn and Willy were making ghost noises. I couldn't help but smile at this, AJ having fun like a kid should, but I will be honest this needs to be taken seriously but we still had time. AJ knows that when the raiders actually attack, he has to keep quiet and to let me handle things.
"I was thinking we could trap the inside of the school too; you know." Aasim says and I look to them.
"Would be a great idea but trapping the door is a big no, we still have to get in there." I say and he nods.
"We could rig up a huge log." Willy says.
"And get one raider at most? That's dumb." Aasim says.
"And what do you suggest? Having a fire trap?" Willy asked as he poked his head out the bushes and I look to them a bit.
"No, we could have a bag of bricks." He says.
"Dude no, the log is better." Willy argued.
"Hey hold on, Willy though the log may seem better Aasim is right, it could get one raider a most, they won't stay in a straight line." I explained.
"Hah see." Aasim says and I look to him.
"Bricks also seem like a good idea but a bag isn't big enough either… do we have any tarps?" I asked.
"Sure, in the old shed, saw some when we put the sport equipment in there." Willy says.
"So here is what we could do, we get a tarp full of bricks and rig them to where whoever is inside can cut a rope and let them fall on the raiders, Will mind helping Aasim with that task?" I asked.
"Sure… I still say we can use the log idea." He mutters and I think.
"Maybe we can set a tripwire outside the school?" Mitch suggests.
"There we go… just need to make sure the wire is strong enough to hold up a log." I say and they all nod. Aasim and Willy went to get the tarp and I looked to the burnt side of the school and the others come help me to get bricks for the other two. When they came with the tarp, we set the bricks on it and it took a good while as we filled it up enough for all of us to carry it inside. Aasim and Willy then went and got some rope and I looked around at what else we could use.
"We have to set up an escape route… incase things get… screwy." Violet says and I nod.
"Only way I know out from here would be through those windows but that leads back to the courtyard, or we could go behind the stairs and go out those windows but we'd have to clean the area up, only problem is, the ropes would have to be pulled to the side of the stairs in order for the bricks to be held up." I explained.
"And we can't have us going down the stairs if more of the raiders come inside, so we couldn't go behind the stairs even if we wanted to." She sighed and crossed her arms.
"So, Balcony would be the only option… unless we make another route." I say and we looked around the room a bit.
"We could tear up the floor boards." Mitch says and I look to him.
"Make a tunnel, only thing is… don't know when they'll come here, and we should have started it earlier." He says and I have to agree with him, though it was a good idea.
"We could go to the cellar doors though, the door in the dorms just has to be busted but we can push some supplies against it, exit out the outside doors and get them from behind an get any of the stragglers." Aasim says and I look to him.
"Sounds like a good plan actually, just need to clear the halls to the dorms from here." Violet says.
"Wait these halls connect to the dorms?" I asked.
"Yeah, we blocked them off incase Walkers busted in." Ruby says and we get to work clearing the hallway.
"Fair enough, had seen that a few times… even a wall of the dead was used to keep the dead out and the living." I say as we work on the hallway. I picked up a desk and turned a bit quickly almost hitting Violet who caught the desk and chuckled.
"Damn I do not want to get knocked out with a desk." She joked.
"Fuck sorry." I say setting the desk down.
"Nah it's my fault, I got close." She says and I just nod and get back to work. We got the hallway cleared up and Aasim and Willy got the tarp up and the ropes tied to the stairs. When we finished up I in the school we all headed outside and the boys ran to the playground so we go back there and watch them a bit.
"Is it bad that I think Marlon should be the one to talk to Lily and her group?" Omar asked and I looked to him a bit.
"That wouldn't end well, knowing how Marlon is right now he might rat out our plans." I hear Aasim say and I look to them.
"Seems like it." Violet says as she helped Tenn. spin AJ and Willy on the merry go round.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." He says and I look to him.
"Well Lily will see a familiar face soon so she will be in a bit of a shock." I tell them and lean back on my hands.
"You said it had been years since you last saw her, right?" Ruby asked an I nod.
"Yeah, she use to be nice to me as a kid… but I wasn't involved much in the grownup's conversations but I did hear some stuff." I tell them and shake my head.
"Saw some stuff too." I mutter and looked to the kids as they got off the merry go round and they fell to the ground dizzy making us laugh. I watch as AJ got back up and on the merry go round and Violet helped spin him but slow this time so AJ didn't get sick. Tenn hops on the merry go round as well and he's holding on as Aasim goes and helps Violet run to spin the Merry go round a lot faster and I hear AJ laughing telling them to go faster.
"We need to have someone be with the kids if something happens." Ruby says and I nod.
"Best person would be you actually." I admit. I look to her as she looked to the kids then me.
"I'm not-."
"I'd rather someone who knows some sort of medical knowledge be with the kids." I explained.
"I have to agree with that, I don't care what happens to me, as long as Willy and the others are safe with someone like you, I'd die to make sure they were in safe hands." Mitch says and I look at him a bit.
"No one is going to die." I say.
"You don't know that." He says and I nod.
"Yeah, but don't jinx yourself you know?" I asked and he nods.
"How's the bombs coming along?" I asked him.
"Got them all prepped up, going to put them in their place where I can easily get to them while hidden, hope those bastards aren't dumb enough to shoot the damn things." He mutters.
"Not if they want all of us alive, they would be moronic to do that." I say and AJ gets off the merry go round and he falls on his ass and we laughed.
"The world is spinning." He says and I smiled.
"Lay down than." I say and he does just that and I watch him. Omar then got up to work on dinner and the others went to go do their own and it was just Violet, AJ and I as she came over to me and AJ got up to go play with Tenn, leaving us alone.
"Think we're ready?" I asked her and she shakes her head a bit.
"I don't feel ready but… those raiders don't give a damn." She says and I nod at this. More and more time would pass us by and currently I was working on the maps and I looked out the balcony to see the traps in place and I look to Rosie as she comes up to me and licks my hand a bit. I pet her gently and looked to the dog and she looked up to me.
"You are cuddly… when you aren't mauling Walkers." I say and she barks and I jumped a bit but shake my head.
"Talking to animals now?" I hear and look to see Violet.
"She's a good listener." I say and Violet comes up and pets Rosie and the dog licks her face and she laughed.
"Did you need something?" I asked.
"Yeah, I set up a trap at one of the trees wanted to mark it on the map before I forget." She says as she gets up and goes over to the map.
"And Louis was smart for once and said we should have a bit of a trench to stop the carts from being able to get into the school at least." She says as she marked the inside by the gate with a long trench. I look at her a bit and then I go over to her. She looked up from the map and she looked to me and I look to the side a bit then back at her.
"Um… one… kiss." I mutter and she chuckled and I look to her and kissed her gently on the lips. She kissed me back and I place my arms around her neck as she placed her hands on my waist. I pulled back a bit and then kissed her again and she pulled me closer to her and when we pulled apart again she chuckled a bit.
"Sorry I know I said one-." She kissed me again and I then went down to my neck.
"There, now we're even." She whispers and then I hear footsteps running up the stairs so Violet and I move away just in time for AJ to come through the door and I look to him a bit.
"Hey, you good?" I asked him and he nods.
"Yeah, just wanted to know if it was ok to go with Aasim and Mitch to check the traps." He asked and I nod.
"Yes, that's fine just be careful." I tell him and he smiled and nods as he runs out the room and I hear Violet sigh.
"Oh, thank god." She says and I look to her.
"That was close." I say to her and she nods and I smile a bit and kissed her cheek gently. I then left the office and headed to the courtyard and Louis comes up to me.
"Hey Clem, we were all going to play a card game when Aasim and them come back, you in?" Louis asked and I nod.
"Sure, how's your aim by the way with the arrow?" I asked.
"Getting good, though chairles is my specialty." He says and I nod and it was a while before the boys came back. Night was on us and we were all sitting by the fire on couches or old chairs. Louis was shuffeling his deck of cards as he explained the game to us.
"Truh or dare." He says and I roll my eye as he handed the deck to me and I pulled a card and then passed it.
"High card gets to ask the low card a truth or a dare." He says and I nod and looked to my card a bit.
"Oh, Clementine got the high card, and the low card is?" He asked and Aasim flips the card and I smirk.
"Truth or dare?" I asked and he smirks at me.
"Do your worst." He says and I think and look to the scarecrow, but decided to be kind to the boy.
"You have to ask Ruby for a kiss." I say.
"OH SHIT!" Louis laughed as Aasim looked at me with horror on his face.
"Are you crazy?" He asked and I look to see Ruby over on the side and I look to him.
"You chicken?" I asked and Louis along with Mitch started to bawk like chickens making AJ and the others laugh.
"Fine." Aasim says and he gets up and goes over to Ruby. We don't know what was said but Ruby ended up gut punching him and I covered my mouth as he came over.
"Oh shit, dude, it's ok." Mitch says patting the boy on the back.
"Hu, I thought Ruby liked him." AJ says out loud and we all look to him.
"Grown ups are weird." He says and we laughed at this. The cards were put back and shuffled again, then passed around. I got the low card and saw Violet with the high card.
"Alright… Marry, Fuck, Kill."
"Vi." Tenn says and I smirk at this.
"Fine… Marry, Flip, Kill…. Aasim, Ruby and… Louis." She says and I look to her a bit then think.
"A bit morbid don't you think?" I asked as I stilled tried to figure this one out.
"Hey I have plenty of jokes for each one you pick." Louis says and I roll my eye and then I figured out my answers.
"I think I would Flip." I say and hear Tenn and AJ chant the words flip over and over and I shake my head at this. It was funny I won't lie.
"Ruby." I say.
"Dude, she's going after your woman." Louis says to Aasim who shook his head but laughed.
"No shame." He says and I nod a bit at this.
"I would… Marry Aasim." I say.
"Dude no fucking way." Mitch says and they laughed.
"I uh… thanks." He mutters.
"Dude really? Least you aren't being killed off." Louis joked.
"Hey I'm answering with what I got." I say to him.
"No shame, I'd pick myself too, to die by your hands would be the best way to go." He says and I shake my head as we shuffled the cards again. We played for a good hour and it was Violet who got the Low card and Louis who got the high card.
"I dare you… to smell one of Mitches dirty socks." He says and I along with the others gagged.
"Oh, fuck that." She says.
"Hey you have to do it, you picked dare." Louis says.
"We all know he has smelly feet." She says and I see Mitch take his shoe and sock off.
"Just a quick sniff, I bet it smells like roses today." Louis joked and I looked to Violet who looked to the sock and she shook her head.
"Come on chicken." I say and she looked to me with shock on her face.
"Clem, I thought we were friends." She says and I laughed.
"Girl just do it, one quick whiff." Louis says and she groans and goes up to Mitch who holds his sock. She takes a quick sniff and then turns to the side looking a bit green.
"Oh god I'm going to vomit." She says and coughed a bit. When she was done with her coughing fit, she takes a seat next to me and I rubbed her back.
"I'll make sure to pay for your therapist." I joked and they laughed and she looked to the side.
"Alright, last round before bed." Louis says and passes the cards around and I see I got the low card.
"…I got this." Louis says and I look to see he has the high card.
"We have been teasing dear Aasim about his love life, which doesn't exist." Louis says.
"Hey, asshole." Aasim says and Louis waves him off.
"So, Clem… anyone here you Like, like?" He asked and I look to him.
"Dude really? Are you five?" Violet asked.
"Seven actually." He says and I shake my head.
"Nope, no one I like." I say to him.
"Ok but if you had to choose?" He says.
"Nope game is over." I say and he nods and takes the cards back.
"I'm going to go head up the belltower." Violet says as she gets up.
"And I'm going to play my piano… care to join me Clem?" Louis asked. I looked to Violet a bit as she headed to the tower and I look to Louis.
"Sure, hey Vi, I'll come up there to check the perimeter in a bit, ok?" I tell her and she waves her hand.
"Loud and clear, just call me so I can show you how to climb up the tower." She says and I nod and followed Louis and he goes and takes a seat at the piano and he starts to play the keys.
"So, you and Vi have gotten close." He says as he played the piano a bit.
"Yeah, we became good friends, she's really smart." I say to him and he nods.
"Yes, that she is, she doesn't give herself enough credit." He says and I look to him a bit.
"Look, I'm sorry for the kiss it's just… I don't know." He says as he continued to play.
"Why do you like me?" I asked him and he stopped playing and takes a breath.
"I just do… like I said, you're cool, you're smart and hell… you're helping us even when you don't know us." He says.
"I got to know you guys though… You guys don't give yourself enough credit either, you guys helped AJ and I when I… crashed the car… You guys didn't have to but you risked your safety to come help two strangers." I tell him and he nods.
"I fucked things up, if I have to be honest if I didn't come ya'll wouldn't hate Marlon, and Brody… she'd still be alive." I say.
"No… I'm not glad that Brody is dead, you tried to save her… but it showed us that Marlon had a secret, a secret that had to come out because… what if it was Tenn. or Willy next?" He says and I nod and take a seat next to him.
"But she would still be alive." I tell him.
"He would have given her up… rather her die at home than out there, scared and alone." He says and I look at him a bit and then to the piano.
"I get why you didn't want to kick him out… you were to kind to him." He says and I press a key.
"Sure… anyway he knows what he's going to be doing when the raiders come right?" I asked.
"Yeah, keep him in the basement and make sure they can't open it from the outside but we can get out if we need to." He says and I nod at this. I sat there for a bit with him and I decided to get up and look around the room for a bit.
"I want to ask you out." He says and I look to him a bit.
"No." I say.
"Just… just once chance is all I ask." He says.
"Louis… you're a nice guy and all but I just don't want to… call me a bitch for it but I don't want to, and I want you to drop it." I tell him.
"Just give me a reason why you won't go out with me." He says and I look to the side.
"You keep asking after I said no, I asked you to stop but you won't and it's pissing me off." I tell him and he looked to me then to the piano.
"I'm… I'm going to head out… I'm sorry Louis I really am." I say and head out the room. I then go to the belltower and Violet looked down and waved to me and I waved back. She comes down and opened the door for me and I look to see the bell sunken into the ground. I closed the door and looked to Violet as she showed me how to climb up the tower and I followed her up till we got to the top and I look at the view a bit. It was amazing, I could see the traps and the sky looked a lot clearer up here. It was peaceful.
"You seem a bit… agitated." She says and I look at her then back to the sky a bit and I take a breath.
"… I don't know anymore, I'm feeling stressed waiting on the raiders, and trying to keep moral up… I don't know." I say to her and she rubbed my back a bit as we sat down.
"Don't be, thanks for telling me that you feel stressed I can help you if you had asked." She says and I nod.
"Yeah, but I am not that type of person… even if I say to help others, I can't let others really help me." I tell her and she nods at this.
"I get it." She says and we look to the sky together. I lean my head on her shoulder for a bit and she moved her hand from my back and I grabbed her hand gently and look at it. She held my hand a bit and then kissed it and I look to her.
"I know you say you don't like relationships; I don't know if you consider this a relationship but… I don't mind if it's not, I get it." She says and I nod.
"Sorry if I'm making things… Complex I just don't know what to think anymore… and I can stop." I tell her.
"It's fine if you don't… I'm guessing Louis said something to you as well?" She asked.
"Just asking if I would go out with him… I feel bad that I tell him no, and then… I come to you." I rant and I feel her shoulder move as she laughed a bit.
"Oh god… sorry I shouldn't be laughing at this, it's… Minerva and I didn't do much." She says and I look to her.
"I am… fuck I'm sorry if I'm messing with your feelings, I don't mean to do that I just." I try to say but she kissed my hand again and I look to her as she looked to me.
"I do like you Clementine, but if it makes you feel uncomfortable, I get that, let's be fair I don't think I made things better when I asked if we could keep this private or well… suggesting it to you at all, I should know better at this point but… it feels nice, but if you feel like we need to stop, please speak up about it… I don't want you to feel bad about yourself and make you question anything that we do." She says to me and I nod.
"I… don't feel uncomfortable with this, I do like it, it's nice to feel… wanted in a romantic way." I say and stop talking but I take a breath and looked to the ground below watching the others, but they couldn't see us.
"But I feel like I'm betraying my own rule… don't be with anyone romantically… I've seen people get angry if something happened to their partner, what if I do the same thing?" I asked her.
"Well, I'm telling you this, if something happens to me when those stupid raiders come, do not think about me, get AJ and the others out of here if you can… if I get taken, don't get angry at anyone here, get angry at the raiders, but don't come after me… I can take care of myself." She says and I look to her and she chuckled.
"I'm being serious, don't think about me, think about the others… I'd rather them be safe… especially Tennessee." She says and sits up a bit.
"I honestly don't know what I will feel in the moment." I tell her honestly.
"I get that… but just do that for me ok?" She asked and I look to her and put my head near her neck. I hold her hand tightly and I breath in a bit and I feel her hold my hand a little tighter.
"Please do not let your emotions get in the way of helping the others… I'll be fine but I think all of us older kids will say, get the boys out and keep them safe… they'll listen to you." She tells me and I nod at this.
"Ok… well the same goes for you." I tell her and she laughed a bit at this.
"Got it." She tells me and I nod at this.
"And do one more thing for me." She says and I look to her a bit.
"What would that be?" I asked.
"Don't let them take Louis… as annoying as he is, if there is a choice… don't let them take Louis." She tells me and I look at her.
"What if… I don't see them take him? It's possible." I asked and she sighed.
"Then I'll keep him safe, but if you have the chance, help him." She tells me and I nod at this. We sat in silence for a bit and I moved my head and looked to her and I kissed her on the lips and she kissed me back. I place my free hand on her cheek and she kissed me more and we pull apart and I look at her. She kissed me again and we moved so she could place her hand on my side and I cupped both my hands to her face and kissed her back more. When we pulled apart, she laughed and place her forehead against mine and I smiled a bit as I opened my eyes.
"Vi, Clem." We hear and She moved her head up a bit.
"Time for your watch." Ruby says.
"Alright, be down in a minute." I called out and looked to Violet as she looked to me. She looked down a bit and I kissed her one more time, just a quick one and she looked to me and nods. We both head down and I go over to the watch tower as she went to talk to Tenn. I stand next to AJ who was up there and we keep watch and AJ sees some movement and hands me the binoculars and I take a look.
"Fuck they're here." I say and he hurries down to tell everyone. I get down and everyone gathered around.
"Ok… let's do this." I say and then there was a loud crash and a scream then a gunshot so we take cover. I grabbed the table and flipped it and shoved it against the other table as everyone got to their spots.
"The fucking gate is blocked." I hear and then there was a crash and I look up a bit as they rammed the gate opening it up and I duck down and take a few breaths. I see the bow and arrow of the side and I grabbed it and looked to see Violet on the side as she had her gun and I take a few breaths.
"Fuck we can't get the carts in." I hear someone say and I keep listening.
"It's fine we can knock them out and bring them over." I hear and I knew that it was Abel who said that. He did not sound too happy about it though.
"Marlon come out." I hear and I knew the voice, I fucking remember it well and I take a breath as I get up from my hiding spot and aim the arrow at them and Lily looked to me.
"Holy shit." She says as she sees me.
"Lily." I say as I keep my bow on her.
"Where is Marlon?" She asked.
"Don't know, don't care." I stated and I hear a gun click and then I see the other raiders as they came into view.
"Such a shame… well maybe you can help." She says and I glare at her.
"What? Kidnap a bunch of kids?" I asked.
"No, it's not a kidnapping… we recruited some kids here before, twins." She says and I keep my eyes on her.
"Minerva and Sophie." She says and I keep looking at her.
"Just turn around and go back, no one has to get hurt or die." I tell her as I pulled the arrow back.
"You know as much as I do that, that is not how it works out there." Lily says and I look at her.
"Minnie wanted to come here today." She called out.
"Said she missed her girlfriend, her little brother." She says and I hear Tenn and then he comes out of his cover.
"Fuck." I whisper and look to see Violet as she looked to me and I shake my head a bit.
"Where are my sisters?" He asked Lily as he went up to her but not to close. I kept my arrow at her and she doesn't move but she looked to the boy.
"I can show you." She tells him and I shake my head at him.
"Are they ok?" He asked.
"I can show you." Lily says and then takes a step and I shoot the arrow at her feet and she stopped and looked to me and I grabbed another arrow. She looked to me and I keep my eyes on her.
"God damn it they're just fucking kids Lily." Abel says.
"Yeah a kid that shoved you in a pack of Walkers." She says and I look to her.
"You have grown Clem." She says and I nod a bit.
"Yeah… you changed too." I tell her and she nods as well.
"Listen we have it good in my group, they would be better off there than here." She tells me and I shake my head.
"I know about the wars going on up north, this place is better." I tell her.
"This is fucking stupid." Abel says.
"Shut it Abel." Lilly says as she looked to him then back to me.
"Clem you know how it is out there, they are lucky we found this place and not those other groups." She says and I think a bit.
"I'm way better than these kids… let's make a deal… you take me, and leave everyone here alone." I tell her and Abel laughed.
"One fucking kid? How stupid are you?" He asked me.
"I know how to survive out there… I can take a beating and not say a word, I know what to do unlike them… you think they planned all this?" I say motioning to what we have set up.
"Lily you can't be-."
"No deal." Lily says and I take a breath. I see Mitch off on the side and he lit up one of the tanks and then there is an explosion knocking a few raiders back and scaring the horses. I see Lily drop down and I go to shoot her but she was able to move out of the way and she glared at me.
"GET THEM!" Abel yelled and there was a few shots and I duck down. A few bullets went through the table and I covered my head a bit as another explosion went off and I see some of the kids run into the building. I get up and take a shot at someone hitting them in the throat and I look to see Louis as he hit one that got close to him and Willy. I see Violet get up and take a shot and I quickly go to her.
"Get inside, we got to get in there." I say and she nods then she hurries over to Louis and Willy and tells them to go inside and I see AJ run in too. We all run in and Mitch handed me a knife and then there was a crash and I could smell smoke.
"Shit get the kids out." I tell Ruby and she nods as they head to the back Violet motion to the side and I nod as she ran down the hall along with Omar and Aasim then the door was busted open. I cut the rope making the bricks fall crushing two of the raiders and one of them decided to take a shot.
"FUCK!" I hear and saw Mitch got hit in the shoulder.
"Get up the stairs now." I tell him and he nods as he runs up.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU BITCH!" I hear Abel yell and then another glass is broken and I see the flames as I hurry up the stairs. I feel the smoke go into my lungs and I coughed then covered my mouth. I was able to get into the office before the door was slammed into me making me fall on my back. I feel a book to my gut and I grabbed it then pulled making Abel fall on his back and I get up. I hear more shots and yelling.
"Fucking weaklings like you still alive, how many people die for your sorry ass." He says and he came at me shoving me to the balcony trying to push me off.
"CLEM!" I hear and then I punched Able in the face breaking his nose and he held it with his hand as blood poured out. I grabbed him by the shirt and shoved him on the railing but I must have been too hard on the weak wood, because we ended up falling to the ground. My head hurt like hell as I try to get up. I hear Abel yelling and I look to see his leg was broken I moved off him and fell to my side a bit as I held my stomach, still hurt from the kick and I move in time as Rosie bit Abel as he tried to grab me. Then there was a rifle being pointed at my head. I look to see Lily looking at me as she held the rifle.
"You… messed everything up." She says.
"You can't… think this is right Lily… raiders took our home… when all this started… you know that feeling." I tell her and she looked to the side then back to me.
"You can't do this… you know it's not right." I tell her and I see her put her finger on the trigger. I closed my eyes as I got ready to die then there was a yell and the rifle went off but I was still alive. I open my eye to see Violet had tackled Lily to the ground. I get up and someone grabbed me and I see it's Mitch as he takes me to the side.
"Fuck my gun where?" I asked and he handed me a pistol. I nod and I get up in time to see someone knock Violet out and I take aim at them I then hear more screaming and see that they had Louis as well I aim at the person who had him but before I could take the shot I feel something hit the back of my head knocking me to the ground. I don't know how long I was out but I was shaken by someone and I groaned a bit and turn my head to see AJ as he looked to me worried.
"Fuck… my head." I say and then see Ruby run up to me.
"We saw the carts; fuck they took some people." Willy says and I get up a bit and turn to see Mitch on the ground.
"Shit, is he?" I asked.
"He's just knocked out, they tried to take him but… Aasim shot them." Ruby says and I nod.
"Check on him first… I'm fine." I say and looked around as she hurried to check on Mitch.
"Who… who is all here?" I asked.
"Me, Tenn. Willy, Aasim, Ruby, Mitch and Marlon." AJ says and I hit the ground.
"Fuck…. Fucking hell." I mutter as I tried to get up.
"Stay seated, you might have a concussion." Ruby says and I sit back down when I felt dizzy.
"Any raiders still here?" I asked.
"Just that Abel guy, Rosie fucked him up good." Aasim says as he came and checked me over.
"How the hell did they get the others?" I asked.
"Don't know but we need to help them." Aasim says and he touched my head and I felt it sting a bit.
"Fuck… god damn it." I mutter and he stops touching my head a bit. I look over to Abel who was being watched by Rosie and I get up and go over to him. I grabbed him by his shirt with one arm and reeled my other arm back and punched him.
"FUCK!" He yelled.
"SHUT UP!" I yelled and punched him again. I was able to hit him three more times before I was pulled back and I took some deep breaths and I glare at the man.
"Lock him up… in the cellar with Marlon." I say and I look to Aasim and he nods.
"Ok… yeah." He says and I get up as best as I can and I see Mitch getting up and I look over to Abel as Aasim grabbed Abel and began to take him to the cellar.
"How are we going to get them back?" Tenn asked and I shake my head.
"Don't know… just that… we got to get them back." I say and I take a seat on the ground and hold my head a bit with both hands. I gripped my hat and took a breath as I take it off and I look to it then to the ground as I tried to catch my breath.
