Chapter 2
As Ben runs through the town of Bellwood, his transformation speeds up to 200mph. Dashing through the streets he tries to avoid any obstacles. He would quite like not to be smashed into a wall at high velocity. Ben smirks to himself imagining a scene from a road runner cartoon but replacing himself instead. As he arrives at his destination he stops almost instantly.
His destination looks to be a plumber shop called Max's Plumbing. Ben walks inside and gives a small nod to a man standing behind the counter. The man returns it and looks back to a computer behind the desk. Ben walks towards a back door that is labeled 'Office'. However he places his eye against the wall. Suddenly a hatch opens and a small red laser moves slowly up and down his eye. When it finishes it flashes green before the hatch closes and the office door slides open revealing a futuristic elevator.
Ben walks inside and travels down. When the elevator door opens again, Ben is faced with a massive command center. Screens line the walls with maps and scans of all types and different details. Ben looks over to see an old man standing next to a tall, blue haired cat that's standing like a person. Over to his other side is a redhead human woman wearing a long purple tunic type outfit with a long lilac scarf. Then sat in a chair with his feet up is a man with long black hair and tattered mechanic work clothes covered in oil stains and soot.
"Don't worry guys. Eon's been taken care of." Ben says walking over and taking a seat on the edge of a table. The redhead looks at Ben with a frown. "Ben, you were supposed to wait for us three to get there." "I'm sorry Gwen but when I got their Eon was already prepared. I had no choice." The man sat in the chair smiles and leans back. "As long as Eon was stopped it doesn't really matter now does it babe." He says to Gwen. "Thank you Kevin." Ben says smugly. "Plus it helps that Ben is stupid enough to go in by himself otherwise we might not have made it in time." Keven says after leaning over to Ben and jabbing his arm.
Ben rubs his arm frowning at Kevin. "One might say heroic." He says walking over to the old man. "They're right Ben what would have happened if you couldn't have stopped Eon on your own" The old man sighs. "But I did stop him Grandpa".
The cat-like alien then spook up. "That's not the point the magister Tennyson is making Ben. You could have been hurt and by the looks of you and your clothes you did." He states quite matter of factly.
"Thank you Rook." Grandpa Max says. "Gwen would you mind please?". He says questioningly. She sighs but smiles. "No problem Grandpa." Gwen then speaks some random gibberish then Ben becomes surrounded by a purple aura that repairs his clothes as well as his flesh.
"Thanks Gwen I feel all better". Ben says standing up. "Your welcome but that's the last time I'm doing that for you."
"Anyway Ben scans picked up something the moment you left the area." Max announced. "The crack that exploded when Eon made contact seems to still be there." Gwen begins to add, "Although it doesn't appear to be active, it's still giving off energy I've never seen before." Max then continues "That's why I need you to go back to that area and learn all you can about the crack. Kevin you will use your engineering prowess to try and find a way to seal up the crack. Rook you can help Kevin with that. Gwen and Ben you will make sure that you contain it just in case it reopens."
"So what do you guys think we will find" Ben said spinning in his chair looking bored. They were all seated in the big green space plane, The Rust Bucket Mk3 on their way to the crack. "Maybe it's another alternative reality," he pondered "A world only of water or no maybe fire!" he kept spinning in his chair to alleviate his boredom. "Ben, we don't even know if it's a portal." she said to her cousin. "But don't you hope it is. I mean after that year together I still have the urge to discover and learn'' Kevin called over his shoulder whilst piloting "You Tennyson, want to learn." he lightly chuckled "You hit your head this morning?" Ben frowned at the hybrids mocking. "Oh shut up" Ben turned back around in his chair toward the window. When they landed the surrounding area was a barren ghost town due to Ben's previous encounter with Eon. The crack looked like a rip down a piece of paper. Sparks of blue and green, reds and yellows erupted for the tear. Ben transformed into Feedback. An alien with hands that look like plug sockets and too long cable like things coming from the top of his head. He started to absorb some of the energy from the crack in space. When the tiniest part of a spark made contact with Ben, his Omnitrix powered down with that all to familiar sound. With Kevin and Rook setting up equipment Gwen helped Ben by surrounding him in a shield. When Gwen put him down and she worryingly asked "Ben! What happened?" Ben tried to stand but almost fell from the sudden jolt of foreign energy. "I've never felt energy like that before." Gwen gave a bottle and then told him to drink. After Kevin and Rook finished setting up the scanners and devices Kevin looked at the monitor and looked intrigued. "It seems that this crack is not a crack." He says. Ben then looks over as he's stood near the crack with Gwen. "What do you mean?" Kevin looks over at the crack and then to Ben. "It's more like a scar. The universe had healed itself but there's still evidence of the rupture."
"And?" Ben askes
"And a scar can be reopened."
Suddenly the crack erupted in even more sparks and developed into what looked like a purple orb of energy and then Ben was surrounded by the same energy. As everyone realises what's happening Gwen notices Ben gravitating toward the orb of midnight purple. Kevin grabs his ankle and Rook shoots a power line from his proto tool and pulls along with Kevin and Gwen. As the group kept pulling the unknown force kept dragging the group into the portal. The force suddenly grew beyond their strength and the team was pulled through. Ben was hit by a piece of concrete as he fell into the anomaly. Ben gained some awareness but couldn't move, see or hear. All Ben could see was black but then he felt himself being moved around but was soon pulled towards unconsciousness.
A/N: And here's chapter 2. I'm trying to get 1 chapter done a day but that may change depending on how busy I am. Although we'll see how long it lasts. Hope you all enjoyed this chapter. See you next time.
Amit Barabi- this story takes place after omniverse. At the end of the series Ben hits about going on a road trip in space with Gwen, Kevin and Rook. This takes place after that. Thanks for the comment and I hope this clears that up.
