Chapter 9
As Ben arrives on the planet he looks around. Nice luscious fields with a towering structure in the centre reaching up to a purple sky.
Everyone followed Whis into the tower. Once everyone was inside Beerus had a feast laid out on an expansive table. With everyone sat down Whis showed Ben to where Kevin was being kept.
Walking down a dark dingy corridor, Ben looked around. Lining each wall was cell doors. Most of them were empty however in one was a hooded person with both hands chained to the wall either side of him. The chain seems to keep his arms permanently held out to each side as if he was being crucified.
As they continued on in another cell was a skeleton with 4 arms. It reminds Ben of his Tertroman form but with noticeable differences like it was much smaller than his alien but seemed to have fangs and claws.
When they arrived at the end of the corridor there was a wooden door. These were different to the other metal cage like ones from before. Whis tapped his staff against the door. Ben could the sounds of locks turning with the sound becoming bigger and more complex.
Once the door opened Ben saw Kevin chained up and his head hanging down. He seemed to be unconscious. He was shirtless, cuts and bruises all over him.
"What happened to him?" Ben asked.
Whis responded with quite a nonchalant shrug. "He was found like this. Well mostly like this. When he first awoke on the ground he attacked Beerus. I had to stop him from destroying your friend of course. He was surrounded by unknown energy. We have rules against foreign energy you know." He continued.
Then he waved his staff over Kevin. The chains shattered like glass and he fell to the ground in a slump. Whis then waved once again. Kevin's cuts and damage healed over and he slowly opened his eyes.
"Ben?" He says before getting to his feet. "Where are we?" He asked. "Where's Gwen?" He said in a more serious tone.
"It's a lot to explain. But let's get you out of here and we can explain everything."
After getting Kevin some actual clothes and explaining everything to him. Where they are, what's happened, who everyone is and everything in between.
Kevin seemed to be processing it well. He was always one to just go with what's happening. Now everyone was waiting to see why they were brought here.
Beerus sat at the end of the big table with everyone around. He then cleared his throat and began to speak. "It appears that there's been some meddling with the space time continuum. We need to be prepared for what's about to happen."
"What's with your need to get involved?" Goku asked with a slight laugh as customary with who he is. "Normally you don't bother about anything we do unless food's involved."
"Well Goku this matter may draw the attention of Lord Zeno and The Grand Minister. This threat is under my durasticion to solve rather than the Supreme Kai's. And with how serious this may become. Lord Zeno may just erase this universe out-right." Beerus shouted at the Saiyan.
"Haha. OK Lord Beerus no sweat. We find Eon and Jager. Fight them and win. No biggie." Goku says in his ever optimistic attitude.
"And how do you suppose we do that Goku." Whis says as calm as ever. "I suspect even with your current level of power you won't be able to defeat Eon and Jager. This is a fight unlike any you have faced."
Ben, who has been simply staring at the table for the conversation, speaks up. "He's right." Ben says. "Eon is as elusive as they come. And with no knowledge on this Jager person. Well that's another uncertainty. We don't even know what they're doing." He says almost defeated.
"Then clearly you're not paying attention boy." Vegeta remarks. "When I fought Jager Eon did something to my attack. It changed and then they took what remained. They obviously need it for something. Also the area we found them was dead. No energy at all. Use your head." He finished.
Ben thought for a moment. "Of course." He says. "What is it Tennyson?" Kevin asked. "You finally got a plan?"
"A plan. No. But I think I know what they need the energy for. It's to restore Eon's body. That's got to be it." Ben explains how Eon is destroying himself every time he uses his powers and that's why he uses alternate timeline Ben's as new bodys. "He must be trying to restore his old one. The original."
BANG!
Just as Ben had laid out his hypothesis the wall behind him blows apart. Everyone didn't even sense it. This was planned. Floating into the room was Jager. Laughing and cackling away. "So this is where the God of Destruction lives. Frankly not impressed."
Everyone was knocked down. Whatever that blast was the only one left standing was Beerus. Whis was also here but seemed like he was not going to get involved.
"You must have a death wish to come here." He said seething with anger. A purple aura rose around him and he slowly raised his hand out. Palm flat.
"I don't think so kitty cat." Jager responds. She then holds up the unconscious body of the Supreme Kai. "One false move and he loses whatever blood he has left. And we both know what happens when this little one kicks the bucket."
Beerus lowers his hand. "What do you want?" He grits through his teeth.
"You are required Mr G.O.D. You can't be allowed to stop this."
Goku begins to stir now along with Vegeta and Gohan. Holding the back of his head he looks up at the hole in the wall and the evil mistress hovering there.
Everyone stood quiet. Vegeta was wide eyed with shock. Goku is much the same. Ben pushed his way up through the rubble of the wall. He attains the form of Cannonbolt. An alien with a hard yellow outer shell. He can curl up in a ball and throw himself as a way to attack. Next to him is Kevin. Absorbing the wall he was being crushed by he becomes rock-like and heaves the stone to the side. They both stare at what's happening.
"Don't think I've forgotten about your little helper." She's holding a small ball of energy. It's black with a hue of white around it. Raising her arm out towards Whis the orb flies toward him. However it stops just before impact. It begins to orbit and circle around him. It moves faster and faster till Whis screams in pain. Wings spring out of his back and glow. They seem like typical wings of an Angel but with the same colour scheme as the orb. The wings wrap around Whis and cover his front also creating a barrier around him too. It all happens so fast. Nobody could see it fully.
Once it was complete Jager, Beerus and The Supreme Kai vanished leaving only the mortals standing.
It was so quick. None of them could do anything about it.
They stayed there silent.
Gohan stands up straight now. "What now?"
"Now we train young half-saiyan" rings a familiar voice.
Out from a portal stands Paradox. "Now let's begin."
Goku throws a punch to Vegeta. Vegeta blocks and ducks under a second before swiping at his legs. Goku jumps over and pulls his feet together to land them both on his back. Vegeta rolls to the side and jumps up.
As they are training Ben, Kevin and Gohan are discussing plans with Paradox.
"So you're saying that Gohan needs to use the energy of the Kai's?" Ben asks.
"Indeed. However we also need to find out which of these two can possess the energy of Destruction." He looks over at Goku and Vegeta.
"How do you know all this?" Kevin says with some skepticism.
"Well young Kevin. Me and Whis discussed this when I first arrived. He seemed to know more about what was happening then I did." He responded. "Any how while they are training for these powers you two have a task of your own."
"What do we need to do?" Ben says eager to help.
"Well you need to find the rest of your team. Gwendolyn and Rook Blanco are probably here by now" Paradox states while looking at his pocket watch. "They will most likely be very confused. Now off you go." He opens a portal and Ben enters followed by Kevin.
