After a hundred years, the floods that chased the four clans into the mountains have finally dried. Now, despite their differences, three cats from each clan are being sent to explore the wasteland left behind. Will these twelve cats find life beyond the mountains, or nothing but a world abandoned by gods?

Patrol leader: Irisfern - Delicate silver she-cat with cool blue eyes.

Shadowhisker - Agile dark tabby with a nonchalant disposition.

Snowpaw - White she-cat who often takes responsibility for her peers' troublemaking. Shadowhisker's apprentice.

FalconClan

Patrol leader: Sharpfang - Black tom with a crooked tooth and white markings. Has a scar on his muzzle from an eagle attack years ago.

Shadepaw - Small, nervous black tom that hardly ever speaks. Sharpfang's apprentice.

Jackalpaw - Brown tom with black markings on half his face, the tip of his tail and on his paws. Insists on being called Jackaltooth on account of his warrior ceremony being postponed.

DewClan

Patrol leader: Breezetail - Small black tom unable to sit still. A good tracker and a good runner.

Sunfleck - Red tom with black marking around his eyes and on his tail. Used to be a medicine cat.

Wolfpaw - Dark grey tom with yellow eyes and a perpetual polite smile. Breezetail's apprentice.

Patrol leader: Darkleaf - Playful calico she-cat with amber eyes.

Ravenstripe - Grey tabby tom with black stripes and grey eyes.

Tansypaw - Amber she-cat with cream markings and orange eyes. Darkleaf's apprentice.
