Chapter two: Isn't that a drink?
Never in my life have I snuck out from home. So, imagine me trying to sneak in a two hundred plus pounds in the house without causing a ruckus. The dogs were loudly barking the moment I pulled into the house and dragged a body inside the house. Oh god, this feels so wrong. I have watched way too many crime documentaries to know where this could possibly lead. I prayed that my mom wouldn't wake up and ask what I was doing. I know sure as hell that she will make a scene and call the cops on him.
I placed the man in my bed taking his shoes off and dashed to the bathroom to get first aid kit, filled a bowl of hot water from the faucet and a towel from the shelf. I had a large scissors in my room to use to cut his shirt and pants. I cleaned up his old wounds then focused on his injury on his abdomen. From the looks of it, whoever aimed at him had a clean shot – through and through. Whoever target him did not want to kill him which only meant that he is still being followed. My paranoia kicked in, what if they saw me? Worse than that, what if they followed us home? It is too late to kick him out now. I talked myself out of it that everything will be fine. I would have been dead by now too. I focused and mentally noted that I need needles and thread. I rushed to the storage room that was down the hall and reached for my mom's sowing kit and grabbed my floss from the bathroom. It'll have to do.
I used the floss as a thread and disinfected the needle. My hands hovered over the wound and winced when I made the first puncture. He didn't react, his body probably in shock from all the injuries he possesses. My hands stained with blood, err…it's not blood? Does he bleed like a human? From earlier observation at the field, I concluded that this being is not human. Whatever he is, does not bleed like how we do. Once I was done stitching him up, my fingers stained in a dark shade fluid, I patched him up and wrapped a bandage around his body, my hands shaking in the process. The sun had started to rise up and I'm not even halfway done. Mom will be up in couple of hours, and I need to pretend that everything is normal. With a new towel and fresh water, I cleaned his body down then cover him before I took off.
I hope he doesn't wake up before I get back.
I ran away from home and headed to where his cab was. The doors were still the same as I last left it. I closed the passenger door and jumped into the driver side. I have never driven a semi in my life.
There's always a first time to everything, right? I ignited the engine a couple times, pressing the breaks until it roared to life. I never learned how to drive shift until today, I just hope I don't mess anything up. I drove down the road and through the open gates straight to the old beat-up barn. Mom doesn't go there just Danny and me on occasions, it will be a good hiding spot for now. I jumped down the cab and closed the barn behind me.
My body wanted to shut down at how exhausted I was. All I wanted was to sleep; to sleep forever and never wake up.
I tried to drag myself inside the house. I can hear the familiar foot shuffling around the house. Mom is getting ready for the day. I tiptoed to my room as quietly as I could, closing the door slowly behind me. The man I saved was still dead to the world…figuratively speaking.
I walked over to my bed towards his side and admire him. "What happened to you?" I whispered.
I yawned, my eyelids feeling heavy. I grabbed a pillow from the floor and another blanket making myself comfortable on the floor away from my bed. I finally closed my eyes and for the first time in a long time I didn't dream.
XXXXXXXXXXX
There was a voice.
It sounded far but I can hear it clearly.
"Run." The deep voice repeated, "Sam, run!" I sat up quick, my body aching reminding where I slept and what happened couple of hours ago. He was in my bed, tossing and turning. I reached towards him to try to calm down, "Hey, it's okay." I tried to hush him.
"Run! Sam, run!" He shouted, thrashing around in my bed. I raised my hands up to calm him down, "Hey! Shh! It's okay, you're fine!" I soothed him.
Its eyes glowed in a deep blue shade. I've never seen such thing before, so mesmerizing. I placed my hands on his shoulder to settle him down, "It's okay, you're okay."
"Sam…" he repeated the name, "You're not Sam."
I shook my head, "I'm Liliana. What's your name?" I questioned him, waiting to see if he showed any signs of disorientation. "Optimus…Prime. My name is Optimus Prime."
He is who the government is looking for. His semi was a given clue. Yet, why do I not feel surprised when he said his name?
I licked my lower lip, "Do you know where you are, Optimus?"
He nodded, "Last I recall I entered the state of Texas. I was looking for my…comrades." So, there are more of him here.
Suddenly there was a knock on my door alarming Optimus. I placed a finger on my lips signaling him to stay silent. I walked towards my door slightly opening it. Mom stood at the other end, trying to peak through my room like she used to when I was a teenager.
"Que estas haciendo? (What are you doing?)" She asks suspiciously.
"What do you mean? Apenas me desperte. (I just woke up)" not an entire lie.
She examined me for a minute until she said, "Prestame la llave de tu carro (Let me borrow the keys to your car), I'm heading to the store." She knows where they are hung, I don't know why she would come all the way up here to ask for them.
"Estan colgadas, mama. (They're hung, mom)" I reminded her, trying to lose the attitude. She only nodded then left. I know that she knows that I am up to something, but if I tell her that I am helping a Transformer she will lose her shit. She won't take this lightly.
I listened as she walked down the stairs and waited a couple moments until she left the house, out of hearing range.
"Liliana, why are you willing to help me?" Optimus asked after a while. Why am I willing to help him? I shrugged my shoulder as I picked up the mess I left on the floor, "I don't know." I answered honestly, "It just felt right at the time." I finally looked at him in his human like eyes.
Optimus only nodded, "I am forever in your debt, Liliana." I shook my head, "No, please. You don't need to do all that. It's just what humans do," he seemed to flinch at my answer, is he guilty of something? "We help out even for those who don't deserve it." He looked down at his hands, too ashamed to look into my eyes. I feel that maybe I am being too rough with my choice of words. Do beings like him have feelings? Do they have emotions like we do?
"My cab," he remembered.
"It's okay, it's in the barn. I can take you to it when you feel a little better, but for now I suggest you rest. Are you hungry? I can make soup." I offered. He shook his head, "We Cybertronians do not require human consumptions."
"So, you don't eat at all? Feel hunger or thirst?" I was curious now. "We do acquire oil consumption at a times, but it is not often." So, like a car needing oil change once they reached certain miles? Interesting. Suddenly Optimus flipped the cover over showing off his naked body. I clasped my hands over my eyes, he did not just flash me!
"You're naked!" I pointed out the obvious.
"My apologies. I forget nakedness causes discomfort to some humans." I laughed out of embarrassment. "I am decent."
"You're fine, Optimus. Let me find some clothes for you." I said as I walked out of my room. I left his clothes to shreds and my brother's clothes won't fit him. I know mom brought clothes that my dad used before. She didn't want to donate it or throw it away. She brought it here with us and stored them in the attic. The only place I haven't been since we first moved here. All his stuff is stored there.
I walked down the hallway and looked up where the string hung down. I clenched my fist wincing in pain. I completely forgot about how my steering wheel took a beating after my shift. I attended the wounded but didn't even take care of myself afterwards. I clenched and unclenched my fists until I finally reached for the string and tugged it down, pulling the latter down. The entrance of the attic looked like a portal to another dimension. I Slowly made my way up almost dreading every step that I took. I was thankful that it wasn't completely dark in here, some light came through the front window. I shuddered when I felt spiderwebs as I crawled in here. I hate spiders and cobwebs, my skin started to feel itchy.
There were couple of boxes and old furniture stored in here. I read the names on each box and all of them written by me. It felt like it was just yesterday when we started to pack and leave our old home. We only took what we could back then leaving everything else behind. We took my dad's red pick-up truck and filled it up with essentials only. Those essentials seemed to include my deceased father's clothes. It never crossed my mind that one day I would come up here and go through his box and have someone else use his clothes. I glanced at each single box until I found dads'.
Ernesto written with a sharpie.
I pulled the box and opened it, sitting on my knees in the process. I pulled the first piece of clothes which was a blue collard button down uniform. I flipped it around to read the name of his company stitched across the back with a logo of a worker planting a tree in the ground and shovel resting on the tree.
My chest contracted as I broke into sobs. I bit the inside of my cheek to remind myself to keep quiet, I don't want anyone to hear me crying. I brought his button down close to my face, inhaling deep. It still smelled just like him, fresh cut grass, citrus and a hint of musk. I placed the collard down on the floor and picked up his cap with the same company logo and the name across. You can still see sweat stain in the inside making me chuckled. I still remember how he would ask me to wash it for him. I would wash it by hand using an old toothbrush and dishwasher soap leaving it smelling good. My hands would cramp at the end, but it was worth it. He looked proud whenever I do something by hand.
I wiped my eyes clean before I finally go through the box. I pushed his uniforms aside when I came across his pruning shears for gardening. The razor part was rusty, and the red handle was worn out. He always had this strapped on him on workdays. I put it aside deciding to bring it with me.
Focus Lily.
Finally, I found a pair of jeans and a dark plaid. It seems like Optimus outfit type; I just hope it would fit him. I placed everything back in there and pushed the box back where it was. I crawled back and climbed down from the attic closing everything behind me. The shears that I found I carefully placed it on my back jean's waistband. Walking back to my room, Optimus sat up holding the bedsheet that covered from his waist down.
I held my father's clothes in my arms. "Do you need help changing?" I asked him. Optimus sat up slowly then moved his legs over the edge of my bed, bringing the said bedsheets with him. "I am well enough to change by myself." He stood up.
Wow, he is really tall. Probably six foot one versus my height being five foot two. This behemoth of a being towers over me and could easily take me out if he wanted too with just a flick of a finger. I noticed how fit he was but didn't realize how muscular and…gorgeous he is.
I did not just think that this alien is gorgeous, what is wrong with me?
I cleared my throat, "I think you should shower first. You have time now before my mom comes back and throw a fit."
"Is your birth giver against Cybertronians?" I raised my eyebrow when he said birth giver and the other word, "Cyber-what?"
"Cybertronians. That is our race, how we identify ourselves." Optimus explained. I nodded, "Ah, okay." I hugged my dad's clothes tighter in my arms, his presence was making me nervous. I felt like a teenager sneaking around and brought a boy to her room when she is not allowed to. "Well, it's not that my mom is against Cybertronians. It's the laws that are set in case we come across to one and the fact that I brought a man in my room. She'll get the wrong idea." Is he considered a man? Does his race have gender roles? I shouldn't be assuming.
Optimus nodded, "Of course, I won't take much of your time. Where is your shower chamber?"
I laughed as I placed his clothes on my bed, "Just bathroom, no chamber. Follow me."
Optimus followed me outside of the room and pointed down the hall, "There's fresh towels and any essentials you need ready for use."
"Thank you, Liliana." The way he said my name so flawlessly with a wolfish smile. It made me feel as if we had been knowing each other for a long time. I felt a weird sensation in my stomach, something that I have not felt since high school.
The butterflies.
What the hell is wrong with me? I swear I am not hitting on him, it's just that when you find someone attractive you just can't help but to admire them. And it's his damn smile! I shuddered and turned back around to my room. I need to focus on cleaning my room and the mess that I made last night. First thing first, take care of my knuckles and change.
I disinfected my now bruised knuckles and grabbed the strand of bandage I found on the floor, wrapped it on my hand and called it a day. If anyone asks, I could just say that it I got hurt at work (by anyone I meant mom and Danny). I took off my dirty clothes and tossed it to the dirty hamper.
I don't have the perfect body. All my life I was always skinny with a small gut around my abdominal area. Both arms covered in tattoos; my left forearm had a galaxy, and my right forearm had a skull with flower crown with a butterfly on the corner. On the bottom of the skull's jaw, I had a daisy tattoo and on the way top of the skull I had a serotonin symbol with hibiscus flowers, and lastly a trippy smiley face. I plan on getting more in the future. My goal is to have a sleeve but seeing on the financial situation that I am in, that will take a while to accomplish. All these artworks to cover up my scars. The feeling of the needle penetrating into my skin is better than inflicting self-harm. I stop cutting because as much as I cry for help in different ways, mom would tell me to shake it off. That what I am feeling is only temporary. Secondly, death. I am scared of dying. Lastly, it's unfair to leave everything to my brother.
When I was younger, my face used to be covered with acne until few years ago that my skin started to clear up. I had my mother's smile, and my father's big brown eyes. It's one of the things that some people noticed and partly because I am Mexican American, the first generation being born in the U.S. I had few freckles above my cheeks and nose ring on my right nostril. My hair was past my shoulder blade, wavy by the many times I set it up into a messy bun. I rarely brush my hair out unless if it's for a special occasion. I still have a burn mark around my cheek area from when I was barely eight years old learning to flip a tortilla using a pair of tongs. I completely forgot how hot it was when I placed it on my cheek. Don't ask me what I was thinking.
I remember in high school I had a tone stomach, now I had a little gut. At first, I was ashamed of it but then didn't care about it because for one legging are a lifesaver and I love food. I changed into a pair of black leggings, listening to a loud thud on the floor when the shears fell. I completely forgot about it. I quickly grabbed it and threw it in one of my drawers then walked towards my closet searching for a decent shirt to wear, grabbing a white short sleeve t-shirt and a purple zip up sweater. I throw in a pair of long socks tucking the bottom of my leggings in and put on a pair of sneakers. I walked towards my messy vanity and tied my hair up into my signature style and cleaned my face with makeup wipes. I had dark circles around my eyes from lack of sleep. I used some of my skin care ointments to help me look more alive and then added mascara and ChapStick.
After I finished changing, I started to take the covers off my bed. They were stained in Optimus blood (If I can even call it that). I ran downstairs and threw the linens in the washer machine getting it started before mom even asks questions. I managed to put new bed covers and made my room look less messy by the time he came back to my room.
I almost did a double take at how different he looks. He shaved off his beard, knocking few years off. Do they age? His dark curls were wet and slick back, his strong jawline was like…I don't know how to explain it. I read so many books when the main character describes the other person jawline. His was sharp and chiseled with a dimple in his chin, perfect pointy nose and just…simply perfect. Optimus was breathtaking to look at. He is who the government is after? What exactly did he do? If he was still in pain, he didn't show it.
I need to stop staring, "I'll let you change." I told him, giving him space.
"Thank you." he slightly bowed his head at me. His formality is too much. Then again, he probably feels uncomfortable being around with humans and don't know our customs. Before I walked out, he said, "Liliana, if you do not mind, I wish to see my altmode."
I gave him another confused look, "alt…mode?" I asked slowly.
"My apologies, I mean my cab."
Oh, his semi! I did say that when he feels better, I can take him to it. If I were him, I would probably ask for my belonging too. I don't want to keep that away from him, "Sure. I'll be downstairs. We do have to hurry before my mom gets home. I feel that she'll be here soon."
"I will hurry."
Optimus did not take long to change. When he met me downstairs in the kitchen, I noticed how fast his hair dried and how defined his curls were. For some reason he reminds me of superman, he looks just like him. Without wasting more time, I took him to the barn where I parked his semi. My dogs followed behind us barking obnoxiously but Optimus seemed unphased by them. I tried to shoo them away, but they have a mind of their own and stayed closed by me.
I opened the old worn-out doors for him, letting him go in first. I watched him place his hands on his property and his body glitching until he disappeared into thin air.
Did he just…? What the fuck did I just witnessed!?
"Optimus?" I called out, looking for him inside. The semi roared to life the dust shaking off from all sides. Is he inside of the cab? I went over to the driver side and didn't see him in there. This time I placed my hands on the trunk of the semi feeling the heat under my touch.
"Who are you?" I nearly whispered to myself. The one question that I had from the start and clouded my mind. The semi started to back out slowly and once it was completely outside the vehicle started to transform right before my eyes. The Semi started to rearrange their component parts from vehicle mode to alternate mode. The sound of joints connecting, hums and whirring coming from all directions. The sound of mechanical shifting was almost satisfying. I shuddered from the goosebumps that I felt.
Is this how his altmode look like? He is taller than my own house! After his transformations he knelt to my level, the light in his eyes made my body glow blue. The dogs growled from behind of Optimus, ready to attack if they need to. It would be pointless though since the transformers is all metals. I nearly fell on my back at how close his head was to my body. I can feel the heat radiating from his eyes, warming me up nicely.
"I am Autonomous Robotic Organism from the planet Cybertron," Optimus introduced, "You may call us Autobots for short."
"There's more of you?" I asked nearly speechless. His big head nodded in confirmation, "There is. I am looking for my friends, I lost them after the battle."
"The battle of Chicago." I said, "Is Sam one of your friends? Was he like me?" I remember that he was repeating his name.
"He was, yes. Unfortunately, he was killed when we were ambushed by those nasty soldiers." I frowned, "I'm sorry, I know what it's like to lose a loved one. My father died during the battle of Chicago."
Optimus was taken back when I said that. To be honest, I don't know why I even said it. The light in his eyes seemed to dim for a brief second when he said, "It was our fault. We tried to save as many as we could, but we were outnumbered by the Decepticons. Betrayed by few that we thought were our friends."
"So wait, Decepticons are the bad guys?" I asked, changing the subject.
"It is complicated…" Optimus started, "Decepticons are a militant faction of Transformers from the Planet of Cybertron. The group is led by Megatron – who I once called my brother. Their whole purpose is to bring new order to Cybertron. Their single goal is total domination."
"And I am assuming that you are the leader." Optimus nodded, confirming my statement. "So why here? Earth?"
"They are after the seed."
"The seed?" I asked, confused. I can imagine one little useless seed in the palm of my hand. What could a seed possibly do?
"Thousands of planets were cyberformed with Seeds. They turned life into elemental metal. Our creators can destroy species to make us." I can feel panic settling in. I started to pace back and forth, "So this seed that they are after is to destroy our home and create new life?" I made connections, I can feel my heart beat fast.
"Yes," he finally answered. "I need to retrieve it before Megatron does."
"If Megatron finds this seed before you do, game over. How dangerous is this seed?"
"Enough to detonate the biggest city and killing millions." Like that hasn't happened already, "A single blast from the seed will incinerate that city into molten metal. Enough to build a massive army and annihilate your species forever." I always been afraid of death. I don't want someone else plan my death only to bring a new world.
I stopped pacing and faced the leader, "Please tell me you know where this seed is."
"I lost signal after the ambush. However, I may know where to find it." That felt a little bit comforting.
From afar I could hear my mustang loud engine. Optimus stood up straight, "I must depart."
I looked up at him, "Optimus, if you need a place to stay you are more than welcome to use my barn." I offered, "It may not be much but – "
"Thank you, Liliana."
"Lily. My friends call me Lily." I smiled up at him.
"Lily it is." Optimus Prime repeated my name and bowed his head slightly. "I thank you for your hospitality. You remind me of a dear friend of mine." I wanted to ask who it was but there was no time anymore. His altmode transformed back to the red and blue semi. The ground shook underneath me, my dogs running back to where we were and barked at Optimus.
And like that, the leader left my property. I don't know if he will be back, but knowing what he is doing to protect our earth had me realize that I was angered at the wrong team. Just like how there is the bad, there will always be a good.
And I want to help him to protect my home: planet earth. It may not bring my dad back, but it'll mean a longer life for us to live. For my brother at least.

I managed to go through the weekend without my mom noticing that I snuck an Autobot to our home. That day when Optimus left, I left another pair of clean clothes, blanket, pillow and some food and water just out of kindness. I know that he said that he doesn't eat food, so I bought oil for him. I didn't know what type of oil he consumed so I brought different kind.
Monday and Tuesday flew by fast then Wednesday started to drag. Is it me or does Wednesday feel like the longest day of the week? I always hated Wednesdays. I kept my eyes out for Optimus, but I didn't see any sign of him being at the barn. I worried that he could be in danger or hurt then convince myself that he is more than capable to protect himself. If he was able to fight for our lives back in 2011, he can protect himself nowadays.
Yet, I did find him injured and nearly dead.
"The way you are furrowing your brows, you'll have wrinkles when you get to my age." Grace pointed out, touching my forehead with her dark finger. I stuck my tongue out at her, and she smiled, shaking her head.
"What is going on through your head, child?" She asked. I leaned over the counter and doodled on my pad, shrugging my shoulder. Mom, home, debt. Optimus. Seed. New world. I can't tell her that though. I know she is a good person, but there is a high chance that she could report Optimus Prime, and my family could get into a lot of trouble for harboring him. I looked at my manager, opened my mouth then closed it. Grace waited patiently as I thought carefully what I wanted to ask her, "Are you happy with your life?"
Grace looked surprised at my question, "I'm alive," she said. "Life isn't perfect but grateful to be alive and well. That is what matters the most." That still didn't answer my question. I could only assume that not everyone is happy with our new lifestyle.
"Should I be worried about you, Lily?" She asked, her tone sounding serious. I placed a hand on her shoulder, "I'm fine, G." I know she didn't believe me, "I swear." Not everything is fine. Sometimes I feel that I should be doing more in life I just don't know what it is. Some days I have these negative thoughts how useless and worthless I am when I could be doing more. Days like today I just want to stay in bed and sleep forever, to never wake up and live in my dreams. At least my dreams are better than reality.
I came to work as soon I dropped off Danny at school. I hoped to work double today but Tim, our boss, came in and said no. He basically told me the same thing that Grace told me last week, 'not enough customers.' Why did we ever agree to move here to begin with? This town is useless. Maybe moving out could be our best option even though my income says so otherwise. I wish I could start life fresh.
It was busy during breakfast, we had older generation coming in groups and ordered their usual. We had to keep coffee running, they do go through it fast. They do love their cup of joe with scramble eggs and bacons. I stayed on task attending everyone with Grace's help. I didn't realize that Will came back with his friend until Grace patted my shoulder and pointed at them.
Will and his intimidating friend took the same seat from last time, sitting by the window. His eyes met mine, smiling at me showing off his straight white teeth. I didn't expect to see him back here and to be honest, I was happy to see him here again. Except for his friend, he can jump off a cliff for all that I care.
"Hey guys," I greeted, "Fancy seeing y'all here again." I placed a clean mug down and poured him fresh brewed coffee. I noticed Will's friend nose scrunched up like he smelled something horrid then looked at me for a brief second.
"We decided to stick around for few more days before we leave town." Will said.
"Did you guys end up finding your friends?" I asked, remembering why they were here in the first place. I felt someone sniffing on my arm when I looked down and saw that it was his friend, "What the hell are you doing?" calling him out.
"Ironhide!" Will hissed at him embarrassingly.
"She smells like him, Lennox." He told his friend. I glowered at Ironhide, "Like who?" What type of weirdo goes around sniffing people? His beast of a friend glared at me. If looks could kill was a person, it would be him.
Ironhide stood up from his booth, towering over me. "Where is he?" he asked angrily. I matched his energy, "Who are you talking about?"
"Don't play of a fool, woman. His scent is radiating off from your skin." Scent? What the hell? "Will, tell your friend to move."
"'Hide, stand down." Will ordered.
I can feel all eyes on us while Ironhide caused a scene. He continued to stare me down as if he could get me to answer his questions. "Lily, what is going on?" Grace asked as she came out from the kitchen.
"I'm not going to ask you twice, human." Ironhide eyes were filled with rage for some reason. I had the coffee pot in my hand ready to splash the hot drink on him if I need to defend myself. I looked at Will who stood behind his friend trying to calm him down. I started to make connections; what if they work with the government and somehow tracked me down and know that I had Optimus at my house? I am in real trouble now. Ironhide wanted to hurt me, I can tell by how his hands were balling into fists.
"Touch me and I'll burn you with this." I warned him, bringing the coffee pot close to his face. The steam leaving the pot showing just how hot it is.
"Do not threaten me, it will not end up well for you." He snapped. I walked backwards to keep space between us but that did not bother him. Ironhide followed my steps until he cornered me. I was ready to splash him with hot coffee when he smacked the pot off from my hands making me jump when it hit the ground, breaking into pieces and hot liquids spilling everywhere. Suddenly he placed both hands on my arms, tightening them so hard.
"Let go!" I shouted.
"Hey, hands off!" Grace shouted as she ran towards us.
"Back off!" Ironhide barked at her, pulling out a gun in the process. I can feel my heart starting to beat fast as panic settled in. People inside the diner ran away from danger, our line cookers from the kitchen came out with their phones pressed to their ears calling the cops.
"You are hurting me." I told Ironhide through my gritted teeth.
"I don't care if I am. Where is Optimus Prime?" He asked. My heart skipped a beat when he said his name. His blue eyes glowed, almost turned red. That is when I realized that he was one of them. Could I trust him though? What of Will?
Ironhide raised an eyebrow, his grip getting tighter, "Sounds familiar, huh? Where are you keeping him hidden?"
"Prime? Isn't that a drink?" This wasn't the time to joke. I don't know how to act in serious situation. Ironhide tossed me at Will.
Will took me in his arm, "Optimus is an Autobot leader. We have been looking for him for quite a while. It's best that you don't lie to us. We won't hurt you." I laughed at him as I looked down at the way he held me; his hands on my elbows keeping distance between us. Will may not hurt me, but his friend will. (See what I did there? Hahaha)
"I don't know who he is, really." I continued to lie. Will didn't buy it either, "Please, Lily. If you don't tell us the truth my friend here will get it out of you. I promise we are not with the feds or with the government." I felt that he was telling the truth but it's hard to trust people nowadays. Some people know the right words to say so we can let our guard down and fall into their traps.
"Isn't that what you're supposed to say?"
"Lily," He begged.
"Liliana. Only my friends can call me Lily." I told him. He nearly flinched when I said that, almost as if I hurt his feelings.
"I don't have time for games. You are going to tell us one way or another." Ironhide grabbed me by the elbow this time and started to drag me out.
I dig my heels to the ground, yet that didn't stop him. He grabbed me by the waist and tossed me over his shoulder like nothing. I felt his hand under my ass as he started to walk out with Will following behind us. I punched Ironhide's shoulder with my injured knuckles, kicking and screaming at him. Shouting all sorts of profanities that I could think off but that didn't stop him. My punches were useless. Grace chased after us, "Let her go!"
Will stayed behind to talk her out of it while Ironhide open the back passenger door of his black GMC and tossed me in. Both men got inside of the truck and started to drive away from the diner. "This is kidnapping!" I shouted, kicking on the doors like a child.
"Please stop, Liliana. You're only going to make it worse." Will warned me, "You don't want to see Ironhide mad."
"Mad?!" I laughed angrily, "Oh, I'm sorry if I make him mad. Where are my manners? Here, I'll be on my best behavior." I stomped on the black tinted windows with my feet, trying to break them. Ironhide slammed on his breaks making me roll off from the leather seats and fall to the ground. I watched him get off from his truck and open the back passenger seat.
"Ironhide, no." Will gave him a stern look.
"I will not have her damage my interior." Ironhide wrapped his big, colossal hands around my ankles and pulled me out by the legs. I saw a syringe in his hand and the needle penetrating on my shoulder.
"Oh, you bitch. I hate you." I started to feel drowsy when he pulled the needle out. Ironhide placed me back in the passenger seat and this time he buckled me. I had double vision, my eyelids felt heavy and very sleepy. "When I wake up…I'm going to…beat your…ass." I threatened. Looking at the rearview mirror, I saw his eyes lift noting that he smiled. Almost as if saying 'I'd like to see you try.' I slumped in my seat. I can hear Will's voice, apologizing, but his voice started to sound so distant.
