Harry Potter and the Shadowed Light

Chapter 41

Previously

"The twins are recovering well, Rabastan seems mentally stronger while Rodolphus physically seems fitter. Mulciber is still catatonic. Rookwood is responding to treatment surprisingly well, while Dolohov seems to be struggling to remain in the present. Bellatrix is as I said struggling, physically she is responding but her self-control is gone, her moods are swinging between violence and mania rapidly and her grasp on reality is limited. Travers has still yet to awaken."

Marvolo nodded, out of them it would seem he would only have three followers to reintroduce, less than he hoped but better than nothing. Still the problems Bellatrix was causing were a concern, especially with Hogwarts term ending. He didn't want her causing his little raven any problems. He had visited them twice since recovering them but he didn't have time to go more often and his presence seemed to set Bellatrix off even more.

"That's good." He said, "now about the elf, authorise them to use force if necessary, to protect themselves against her."

Lucius was shocked, "My Lord?"

"If Harrison finds out I let her harm the elves assigned to help her, he won't be happy, so allow them to protect themselves."

Lucius struggled not to gape, "yes My Lord," he replied.

"Now if there's nothing else I need to finish these before the boys return tomorrow."

Nodding the blonde lord left, shocked about how much his life had changed in the space of a few years.

/

Groggy green eyes snapped open as consciousness was suddenly regained. Blinking around, the black-haired youth took in their surroundings. Their head hurt, but that wasn't the most alarming thing, no, it was the taste on their tongue that caused the most concern... they couldn't identify the specific potion, but they knew it meant nothing good.

"Oh dear, this isn't good," they muttered, their airy voice filling the silence.

"Harry, my love you're awake!" a manic voice said before suddenly a jittery looking Ginny Weasley was pushing her way into the youth's lap.

I" was so worried when you hit your head, but it's okay my love. I'm here now and everything will be fine."

Green eyes blinked, I hit my head?"

"Oh yes... on a quaffle. Yes, you were playing a game of pick up quidditch with Ron and you hit you head. Ron was so worried as well, seeing as he's your best friend," the red head said, eyes gleaming.

I see..." again the green eyes slowly blinked.

"It's okay Harry, just listen to me, I'll help you when you're confused. So many people will tell you lies, but not me. Never me. I'll help you remember..."

"Ginny..."

"Yes, my love..."

"You really shouldn't have done this."

The effect of the words was immediate, "what?" the girl shrieked, her impersonation of a banshee impressive, clearly a skill inherited from her mother.

However, before the black-haired youth could reply a rippling took over their body, black hair lengthened and turned blonde, green eyes lightened and turned blue.

"Hello Ginny," the fair haired Ravenclaw greeted, smiling her usual absent smile as she waited for her lord to come.

"You!?" the older girl screamed, "What are you doing here? The potion doesn't work on girls! You're ruining everything!"

"Oh Ginny," the younger girl said, shaking her head, "I would pity you if you hadn't tried to harm my lord."

Ginny stilled; "I knew it. That little faggot is evil! I can't believe I almost let him near me."

The air seemed to freeze at her words, usually vacant blue eyes suddenly sharpening into icy daggers, "have care how you speak of your betters!" Luna hissed; her voice stone cold.

"He's an evil little traitor who's going to get what's coming to him! Once I tell Dumbledore he's going to regret ever straying from his place, the pathetic little orphan!"

Luna felt her magic thrumming to lash out at the slander she was hearing, but knew to contain herself, her lord was coming. Tuning back in Luna watched at the manic girl before her worked herself into a frenzy.

"...and you! You're going to regret stealing him from me! Even if he's a traitor why did he pick you over me? I'm so much prettier, and smarter! Would have been the perfect lady Potter, poised, graceful and powerful! Everybody would have been jealous of my perfect life! Why did you have to ruin it you little freak?!"

Suddenly Luna found herself on the ground, her head ringing and cheek burning hot. Realising Ginny had struck her, she shook her head, "oh dear, you've really done it now..." she muttered as the strings of fate showed her what was to come.

Ginny glared hatefully at the crazy girl who helped to ruin her life, "what?"

"My lord, he's going to emerge from this even greater than before. He will start to see who he is."

Screaming, Ginny took a step towards the still downed girl and glared, "shut up!" she said, before savagely kicking her repeatedly.

Curled up, Luna tried to cover her face and head, knowing that this would all be worth it in the end.

/

Harry had been suspicious ever since Luna had asked for his hair, still there was only so much he would watch her without being overbearing, yet when she didn't show up back at Ravenclaw tower after the leaving feast was over, he felt a cold panic take over him. He knew Luna, she would do whatever it took to help him, if that's what she thought was necessary, even putting herself in danger.

Finding her on the map made the cold anger in his veins turn to ice, he could feel his magic fighting to lash out as he took in where she was and with who. If she was harmed, he wouldn't be as forgiving as he had been in the past, enough was enough. No, this time he would give in to the hunger that had been steadily growing within himself.

/

Opening the door Harry quickly took in the scene; Luna huddled in a ball on the floor, covered in blood and weakly whimpering as the savage bitch who had stalked him beat her like an animal.

As soon as he realised his eyes were not lying him his magic exploded from him, lifting the redheaded witch from the ground and smacking her into the wall with a sickening crunch.

Luna weakly looked at her lord, and smiled, ignoring the blood covering her teeth as she did so.

Harry crouched down and gently caressed her face, "oh my little moon, what did she do to you?"

"it's okay my lord. I'm okay."

Harry closed his eyes as he fought his anger, Luna had allowed herself to be in this potion as she thought it was necessary, "you're not okay little moon. Allowing yourself to be hurt, even if it's to help me, is never okay. Your health, your happiness, and your life is just as important as mine."

Luna smiled at her lords' words, happiness filling her, "but my life belongs to you."

Shaking his head in exasperation Harry focused his magic, he didn't know many healing charms but he could at least dumb and do the basics.

"Why was this necessary my little moon?"

"The potion she had brewed, if it had worked you would have been lost. Even if we had recovered you, the damage would have been catastrophic. When ingested by a male it causes complete compliance, devotion and lust. She would have raped you my lord, bore your child and used him to control and torture you."

Harry shuddered at the thought, "she's a child herself."

Luna grimaced, "she's old enough."

Harry felt sick as fury and revulsion built up within him.

"I couldn't let her do that to you," Luna said, standing once Harrys spells had fixed all they could, though she did so with some difficulty.

"What should I do with her?" he asked, although he knew already what he wanted to do.

I think you know my lord."

"The twins?"

"They knew this was inevitable."

"Still... she is their sister."

"Much to their dismay."

Harry nodded, taking a step towards the still unconscious witch.

Lightly tapping her face with his wand, he considered his options, before an idea formed.

"Rennervate," he whispered, watching as brown eyes blinked open and widened in fear.

"Hello Ginny, I hear you've been looking for me."

"H-Harry," the red-head croaked, whether from fear or pain he didn't know.

"You know, I've been fighting this urge for a while. Trying to tell myself it was wrong, that giving in was would make me weak, or evil. But you know what? Your actions today have shown me that I've been fighting a losing battle."

Ginny looked confused, eyes darting between a now savage looking Harry and the door, though she knew she wouldn't make it, she still attempted to stand and run. Grunting as she fell to the floor, unable to stand because of the pain in her legs, and dizziness in her head.

Tutting Harry waved a hand, wordlessly setting up a privacy ward.

"Now sadly I can't truly give in, at least not fully. But that's okay, there's always next time, and you do have a very annoying brother."

Ginny whimpered, "lea-leave Ron alone your freak!"

"But you and Ron have tried so hard to get my attention, who am I to deny you what you've so sought after?"

Turing Harry took in the accepting look Luna was sending him, as well as the slightly gleeful edge in her eyes, "you don't need to be here for this," he told the blonde.

"it's okay my lord, I want to see this." She said, the glint in her eye growing.

Harry didn't know if he was shocked or not, though he supposed he wasn't, "a potions accident I think, Ginny is known for her potions."

"What do you mean?" the aforementioned girl shrieked.

"A tragedy," Luna hummed in agreement, ignoring the now frantic girl.

"Still not surprising, given her history," Harry replied, waving his wand and summoning Ginny's bag, quickly setting up her cauldron and brewing supplies to mimic a makeshift workspace.

"They won't believe you!" Ginny screamed.

Still ignoring her Harry finished his set up, looking over it with a critical eye before saying, "I think this will do it."

Luna hummed and walked over, "oh, you're very cleaver my lord," she complimented

"you cant do this! Its- its murder!"

"Why is murder any worse than rape?" Luna asked darkly, disgust written plainly all over her face.

"I-I- that doesn't matter you can't do this to me! I'm supposed to marry you, and become rich and famous! I can't die like this, it's not fair!"

Harry tutted, "had you ignored me, I would have ignored you. You brought this on yourself."

"Come my lord it's time to go. Goodbye Ginevra Weasley."

Harry stood, waving his hand he levitated the still injured girl towards the now ominously bubbling cauldron.

"Yes, goodbye Ginny."

"WAIT! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!"

Offering Luna his arm he walked from the room, not worried about Ginny escaping, he knew she couldn't move. Once away he focused on dissolving wards and any trace of his and Luna's presence, including their magic. It wouldn't do to be caught because they left behind evidence.

"Should I take you to the hospital wing?" he asked.

"I think that the dungeons would work better in this case," Luna replied.

Nodding, Harry walked away, pausing briefly when a few moments later he felt the wards of Hogwarts stir, indicating the explosion had gone off. The wave of savage satisfaction that filled him was only suppressed by the bitter disappointment that he didn't get to witness Ginny's last moments.

Fighting to regain control of himself Harry occluded his emotions, "I fear Severus will be busy when we arrive," he said, once he felt more himself.

Luna hummed, "yes, but his potions cupboard will be well stocked, and I trust you to know what potions would help."

Harry smiled sadly, fearing where her relentless trust would lead them, "look where that's gotten you, you do realise what we just did right"?

Luna stopped walking and forced Harry to look into her eyes, which were again suspiciously clear for once, "I do. But this is the Turing point, you've been hesitating My Lord; teetering along the edge when you should be striding out."

Harry felt something in him stir, I suppose you're right,"

"I usually am my lord,"

Harry laughed at the self-assurance, "then shouldn't you be the lord?" he teased.

"Oh no, I'm going to be your left hand, you're the lord here."

Harry blinked, before deciding it wasn't worth commenting on, at least not today.

/

Harry wasn't surprised when they reached the dungeons, that ran into a dishevelled looking Severus.

The potions master who had been running down the corridor paused when he saw who was walking towards him, especially when he took in the appearance of the small blonde who was practically being cradled by a wide-eyed Harry, he could feel a headache brewing...

"I'm not going to like this am I?" he asked.

Harry tilted his head, "probably not," he admitted.

Severus cursed under his breath, "the explosion?" he asked.

"Sadly Ginny Weasley decided to give brewing illegal love potions another go, in a completely accidental turn of events, she mixed up a few ingredients and caused an explosion, whereupon she died immediately. A truly tragic turn of events. I'm very torn up about it," Harry said as though reporting on the weather.

Severus felt his eye twitch as he fought not to react, "I see. And miss Lovegood's injuries?"

"Prior to her tragic accident, miss Weasley felt the need to try and teach Luna a very much misguided lesson, I felt offence to her style of teaching."

Severus wondered briefly if he was being punished for something, for surely this was a punishment, no child could be this chaotic, nor cause such drama... still he couldn't linger, Dumbledore had sent an emergency patronus to all staff, if he lingered it would draw suspicion.

"Do you require my assistance?"

"If you wouldn't mind, I would like to peruse your potions cupboard."

"Go ahead," he agreed, deciding that as soon as the day was over he would drink a bottle of whiskey and pretend that their entire conversation was a horrific dream conjured by his mind to torture him.

"Thank you sir," Lovegood said, her dreamy voice causing his eye to twitch again. She looked like a tiny porcelain doll, so sweet and innocent, not like a murder accomplice, or worse yet a murderer... no, shaking his head, he refused to think on it further until he had his whiskey...

/

They were gathered in the hall, waiting for an announcement, the train was waiting to depart but the teachers had told them they needed to wait.

Harry sat at the Ravenclaw table with Luna, Hannah and Susan. The twins and Neville were together, as were the Slytherins.

"Do you know what's going on?" Hannah asked as she looked around, seemingly searching for a clue.

"I might have an idea, but I'll explain more on the train," Harry promised, focusing in the whispers from the crowd. Nobody seemed to know what was going on.

"YOU!" a bellowing voice called, causing many heads to turn, including Harry and his friends.

Running towards tem was a red-faced Ronald Weasley, whose face was contorted with fury.

Standing Harry tuned to face him fully.

"What's wrong with him?" he heard Susan whisper to Luna. However, Harry didn't hear her reply more focused on the shaking wand aimed at his face held by the red-headed boy in front of him.

"What's your problem Weasley?" he asked, feigning confusion.

"I know you had something to do with it!"

"With what?"

"You killed her!"

The hall which had go silent watching their confrontation burst into furious whispers. "Who?" "Somebody was killed?" "Do you think he's telling the truth?"

Harry tilted his head, making sure to appear concerned, "Listen, Weasley, I don't know what you're talking about. Are you sure you don't want to go find a teacher, you look a bit stressed!"

Ron seemingly exploded at the words, "NO, I know it was you! You killed her; you killed my sister!"

"Ron, I don't know anything about your sister- but I hope she's okay," Harry lied effortlessly.

"Somethings happened to Ginny?" the twins asked, making Harry realise his friends had surrounded them, the twins looking grim faced.

Ron also seemingly just now noticing turned, "yes, she's dead and he killed her!"

The twins shared a look, "Ron, you should joke about something like that, where is Ginny?" Fred asked.

"I told you, he killed her!"

"That's enough out of you Mr Weasley!" McGonagall's thick Scottish brogue called, cutting through the whispers from the crowd, "now all of you, be silent and return to your seats."

She had moved and was now bodily steering the youngest Weasley toward the hall doors.

"Professor?" George called out hesitantly, the twins still standing as the others slowly moved back to their tables.

"Oh boys," she said, seemingly remembering they existed, "I think its best you come with me."

With their departure the whispering picked up, Harry could feel eyes boring into him but he ignored them, making sure to look sad and concerned.

However before anybody to ask him anything Dumbledore appeared in a flurry or robes, grim faced and clearly angry. Harry felt his blue eyes pause on him as the old man took his place at the podium.

"Students, today a tragedy has taken place," the man said, as silence settled over the school, "an explosion occurred in the lower floors claiming the life of young Ginevra Weasley, who many of you undoubtedly know and care for..."

The chaos that the words caused rippled through the crowd, the effect immediate as the whispers and stares picked up. Harry also adopted a shocked look, making sure to appear just as worried as those around him.

"...although we can't say for sure yet what happened, rest assured we will find out. Now I know that this news is undoubtedly upsetting, therefore parent have been informed, and if you require assistance over the summer you can write to staff. Now the train is waiting for you all, so go on and be safe."

The students all stood, whispering together furiously as they trailed out of the hall.

"Mr Potter."

Sighing, Harry tuned to face the headmaster, "yes sir?" he asked.

"My dear boy, I couldn't help but overhear young Ron's words as I entered the hall, is there anything you would like to tell me?" he asked, blue eyes twinkling.

Harry allowed this face to shows sadness and slight anger, "no sir, I don't know why he would say that."

"Now Mr Potter-

"Really Albus, how many times must you be reminded, Harrison 's name is Potter-Black," professor Flitwick said, interrupting them, much to Harry's amusement.

Harry could see the headmaster wasn't impressed, "ah yes, apologies my dear boy."

"No, Mr Weasley is understandable upset and lashing out, you can't take what he said to heart Harrison," professor Flitwick said to Harry kindly.

I know sir, I hope the twins are okay. I may not have gotten on with Ginny very well, but I wouldn't have wanted her to get hurt."

"I know lad, now you best pop off with your friends and try and have a good summer,"

"Thank you, sir," Harry replied, smiling at his head of house.

/

The twins didn't join them on the train, though Luna promised him that they wouldn't hold this against him, he couldn't help but worry.

"What happened Harrison?" Blaise asked, the Italian boy staring at him intently.

Waving his hand to set up a privacy and secrecy ward, he looked around. His friends all looked at him expectantly, some appearing slightly scared but none of them looking condemningly at him.

"Luna wasn't at the feast; I went looking for her and found Ginny beating her. Luna was curled up on the floor, covered in blood, and my magic lashed out..." Harry said causing them to gasp.

"Are you okay Luna?" Neville asked, looking at the blonde in concern.

"I'm fine, our lord healed me up."

"Luna had polyjuiced into me, that why Ginny had her, when she transformed back that's when the beating started."

"Why did she want you?" Draco asked

Harry grimaced as he remembered what he found out.

"She had brewed Zeller's potion," Luna said causing Blaise to recoil, seemingly the only one who knew what the potion was.

"She what?" the Italian hissed

"what's wrong, what does the potion do?" Hannah asked.

"it's the vilest potion I know of," Blaise explained, "it's worse than Amortentia, its used to cause, compliance, devotion and lust."

Everybody paled as Harry shook, in both anger and fear, "she wanted to rape me and then use my child to control me," he told them.

Everybody exploded at the words.

"So, Ron was right?" Pansy said.

However before Harry could respond Neville spoke up, "so what? Harry was defending himself and Ginny, well she wasn't exactly innocent!"

I know that, I'm just surprised that Ron was right!" pansy shot back

"You were careful right?" Draco asked, "they're not going to catch you?"

"We were careful," Luna assured them.

"My aunt will be investigating this," Susan said, I can try and find out what she knows?"

Harry felt his eyebrows raise, "thank you," he said, looking at the Hufflepuffs, "thank you all," he added, looking around at his friends, who kept on surprising him.

"Are you okay Harry?" Hannah asked, "what she planned to do... it was evil."

Harry nodded, "I'll be okay," he promised.

After that the others must have noticed his hesitation and started up their own conversations, allowing Harry a moment of piece as he watched the rolling countryside pass through the window of the train.

/

Sirius pulled at his robes and scowled, "why do I have to be here again?" he mumbled to Lucius as the blonde lord lead him towards the floo.

"As its your son who the youngest Weasley male is screaming about, and who according to Severus is in fact guilty... Also, the fact you're a member of the board, and I thought you wild like to be aware of what's going in the castle."

Sirius scrunched up his face, "oh yeah,"

Lucius shook his head, he had been woken up by Severus sending his a patronus message, which he had just finished listening to when his floo went off, informing him, as the head of the school board, that there had been a fatal accident. He wasn't surprised that Harrison had finally lost hold of his temper, he had seen it building over yule, but he did wonder that the chit had done to finally cause him to react with such violence.

"I hope Harry is okay," Sirius said as they entered the fireplace.

"I'm sure he is, he is a remarkable young man."

Green filled their vision momentarily before they stepped out into what appeared to be chaos

"YOU! It was your son that did this!" a screaming molly Weasley said as she threw herself towards Sirius, only just being held back by Arthur who looked awful.

Sirius frowned and looked around, seeing a very exasperated looking Amelia bones, surrounded by aurors, the heads of houses, and Dumbledore. There were also three young redhead boys, two of which he recognised from Harrys letters as his friends, Fred and George, the other from their previous encounters.

"Madam Weasley, I have told you. Our investigators have found no evidence of foul play. Your daughter's death, though very tragic was an accident, caused by her own mistakes," Amelia said, her voice soft, though Sirius thought he could hear a hint of exasperation, clearly this wasn't the first time she had said those words.

"But I know it was him, he's an evil git!" Ron Weasley shouted, causing the twins to twitch and the one closest to him to glare.

"Shut up Ron!" the other twin hissed.

"Yeah, you're just making things worse," his brother agreed.

"Whatever like you even care, your just as bad as him, you're both traitors!" the youngest brother shouted.

The twins flinched at the words but held strong.

"Boys, stop it, please. I-I know were all upset," Arthur said, voice cracking in places, "but we can't fight amongst ourselves we- we have to be strong- f-for Ginny."

Lucius grimaced slightly at the man, though he hated him, he did feel a measure of pity, losing a child would be unimaginable. Still the man's family was out of control, full of thieves and traitors so he supposed he would have to get used to seeing the Weasley patriarch so upset.

"Lord Malfoy, lord Black, may I ask why you are here?" Amelia said, stepping towards them.

"We were called here as members of the board to find out what has happened, though I think I have an idea based on what we had just heard."

"its lies! All lies,! My baby girl was murdered!" Molly shrieked again.

Sighing audibly, Amelia sent both lords a look exasperation before she turned to the hysterical woman, "Ginny was brewing a very advanced, and highly illegal potion, without supervision. That she made a mistake is not surprising. However, that the mistake cost her, her life, is a tragedy. Still, this is a tragic accident, there is no person to blame other than your daughter, who sadly has already paid for her actions," Amelia said firmly, though still conveying sympathy.

"But she wouldn't!" molly argued.

"I'm sorry molly, the evidence is clear."

Sirius couldn't help but feel a measure of relief at those words, he had trusted Harry knew how to clean up after himself but still, it was a load of his mind.

"Have the children been informed about what happened before they were sent home?" Lucius asked the staff.

"Yes, and parents were sent a note." McGonagall replied

"that's a relief at least, hopefully they will have the summer to process," Sirius said, coming over.

McGonagall pursed her lips at the two men, she had heard from Albus what they were up to, how Sirius had turned dark and couldn't help but feel bitterness, "quite right, now gentlemen. I know you were sent here by the board but as you can see there if nothing for you to do, I'm sure madam bones will send you a report. But for now, all we can say is miss Weasley tragically died as a result of a potions accident, she was brewing unsupervised in an old classroom. There is nobody at fault and the situation, while tragic, was an accident."

Lucius nodded, "thank you, professors. We will leave you to your grieving and investigations,"

"Yeah, sorry for your loss," Sirius said, nodding his head to his head of house. He wasn't shocked by her apparent dislike, he knew old Minnie was firmly in Dumbledore's pocket, still to see the mistrust in her eyes was an unexpected blow.

Turing, the two quickly got confirmation from Amelia before flooing back to Malfoy manor.

I can't believe he killed her," Sirius muttered, he had sensed something like this was coming. After Harry had admitted to wanted the Dursley's dead, but still that he had acted without warning them was unlike him.

"Killed who?" a silky voice asked

Lucius spun around when he heard the voice, "my lord," he said, I didn't see you there."

Marvolo hummed, "it's fine Lucius, now Sirius, what was it you were saying?"

"Harry, he killed the Weasley girl."

Marvolo felt his eyes widen as a sudden wave of gleeful delight surged through him, the thought of his little raven killing his enemies was one he took great pleasure in, "I see, she must have done something to force his hand."

"I hope he's okay," Sirius replied, worrying again about what the girl had done to cause his displeasure.

"He will be fine, we will ensure it," Marvolo said, eyes narrowing. He wouldn't allow his mate to feel guilt, not over killing swine like the youngest Weasley. The chit was a pathetic waste of magical potential who's stalking tendencies made Marvolo wish he was still attached to Quirrel if only to give him the opportunity to kill her himself.

/

Harry had been expecting Sirius to be there to pick him up, he hadn't been expecting Marvolo, still seeing his mate filled him with joy. Quickly saying goodbye to his friends, with promised to write and visit Harry practically ran to his mate, Draco following him as Lucius was also there.

"Hello my little one," Marvolo said after releasing him from a hug.

"Marvolo, I didn't expect you to be here."

"Well, after I heard about all the excitement, I thought I would come to see you. We have a lot to catch up on."

Harry nodded, taking the offered arm and closing his eyes as he was apperated to Malfoy manor.

Once everybody was there and settled, Harry went over what had happened and why, the only indication of the adult's fury was the steadily building magical pressure in the room.

"Her death was too quick!" Marvolo hissed, fury making is vision bleed red.

"Perhaps, but there's no changing it now. She's dead."

Sirius forced his hand to relax, his nails had cut into his palms as Harry had spoken, "Luna will be okay, the potion doesn't cause harm to females?"

"She will be fine; I gave her a purger to take tonight as well but to be safe."

"I can't believe they would stoop so low," Narcissa muttered.

"Oh please, the light is full of hypocrites and liars," Sirius muttered, his desire to take Harry and lock him up in Grimmauld place until they were old and grey growing.

"Dumbledore knows I was involved, he can't prove it, but he suspects me. He's going to become more desperate," Harry said, recalling how the headmasters' eyes had bored into him, "he knows Ginny wasn't brewing, as he's the one who provided her with the potions."

/

Harry knew the prisoners, or rather former prisoners, were recovering at Malfoy manor, therefor he wasn't surprised when he quite literally ran into Bellatrix, or rather she ran into him, in the library.

"Oooh another pretty little boy," the mad witch cooed as she stared at him.

Harry fought down his urge to hex her, "hello aunt Bella," he said instead.

The witch blinked, "ohh, the boy calls me aunt Bella, but he doesn't look like Cissy's boy. No, he doesn't. No, this boy is a Black..." she muttered to herself before focusing on him, "who are you little wizard?"

"Harrison Potter-Black."

"Potter-Black, Potter, Black... HARRY POTTER! You, you killed my lord!" she shrieked.

Sighing, Harry waved his hand and stunned the witch, much to her shock

"I'm sure you've been made aware of the situation, so why don't you calm down ant think for a moment?"

Bellatrix spent a few seconds struggling before giving up, and then mumbling to herself again, "vile little boy, killing my lord and then attacking me with his unnatural magic... still a strong little baby wizard, a true black- no, no, no, mustn't be impressed with the ickle baby, he's a bad bad boy... tricking our lord into thinking he's his soulmate... would have to be a powerful wizard to be mates with my lord... seems kind of powerful... no... maybe... a powerful lord black, soulmates with the dark lord? Oh yes, that would be fun..."

Watching he talk herself around Harry sighed, "are you okay now aunty Bella?" he asked when she had clamed down.

"Oh my precious and powerful little Harrykins, what a strong and worthy future lord you will be," she cooed, eyes full of manic glee.

Rubbing the back of his neck he decided this was only marginally better than before, "how are you aunt Bella?" he asked, he was still fighting his urge to hex her, could still see Sirius falling through the veil in the back of his mind but he pushed passed the urge.

"Oooh such a filial little lord, worried about his poor aunt belly... oh its terrible little Harry, those nasty dementors they feasted on me, stole from me..."

"I'm sorry," he said, meaning it, he could see the echo of the once powerful witch she had been, now all he saw was a haggard woman who looked a second from mania.

"Why are you in here my little lord?" she asked, "are you hiding from the nasty little elvies as well?"

"Nasty elves?" Harry asked

"Oh yes, they started cursing me back they did," Bella said, eyes alight with deranged glee.

"Huh," Harry said, surprised, "no, I'm not hiding, I'm looking for a book."

The older witch pouted, "books are boring."

"But they can teach you a lot," Harry replied.

"ooh, pick me, pick me! I can teach you stuff," Bella offered, suddenly wiggling in her bonds again but this time with excitement, "oh, I could teach you loads of stuff."

Harry laughed, however before he could reply the doors slammed open and a harried looking Marvolo appeared.

"MY LORD!" Bella shrieked in happiness

/

Marvolo had been doing his rounds checking on his recovered followers when he noticed that Bella wasn't in her assigned room, he hadn't been too worried, she was without a wand and since the elves had been given permission to defend themselves the number of incidents had dramatically decreased, still he wondered where she was.

"elf," he called

"Mr dark lord sir called," an elf said after appearing with a pop.

"where is Bellatrix?"

"miss Trixie is in the library with little lord potter-black, she is."

Hearing those words he went cold, he knew harry could defend himself but he could help but worry, Bellatrix was unstable at best.

Turing he rushed from the room, intent on ensuring his little raven was okay, and if he wasn't well... he had enough followers.

/

Looking between the two Marvolo felt himself breath, "Bellatrix, Harrison," he greeted.

"is everything okay?" harry asked, eying the doors warily.

"everything is fine my darling, what are you to up to?" he asked

"I'm going to teach the little lord some curses, lots of lovely curses," Bellatrix said in a sing-song voice.

"oh?" he asked, sending an amused look to harry.

"she offered, I hadn't yet decided, although some practical lessons would do me some good."

Marvolo hummed, I wouldn't mind teaching you some things," he offered.

Harry felt a smile bloom, "that would be perfect, thank you."

"oh, you're in for a treat little one, my lord is a very good teacher," Bella cooed.
