So this is my first story, be kind please, my first chapter on

Chapter One: Where stars collide

Here's on remnant, never had a meteor shower; a magnificent show from space, where rocks race against each other through the galaxy, making remnants drift orbs. If anyone tells the people about meteor showers, they'd be very confused.

But now, today, tonight, the people of the remnant bear witness to one of the most spectacular phenomena that has ever happened in a long time, one of the longest meteor showers the universe has ever seen.

And it fascinated and terrified the people

Ozpin was never one for star-gazing; his days of looking up at the skies for wonder are a long past memory. He looks forward to ensuring his kingdom's safety.

But tonight is a special one for many people. He's sure.

Streams of light race across the night sky, as if in a nighttime concert, where lasers and flashing lights hype the crowd.

But these lights seem more powerful and are not for entertainment purposes.

"What is this Ozpin?" Behind him, Glynda fell to her knees in stunned silence, as the night sky was decorated by streaming lights. He detected a slight hesitation and fear in her tone.

He couldn't blame her; it was a celestial event happening.

"I don't know Glynda" Ozpin mutters, "but I have a feeling it would change Remnant."

If you ask anyone outside this universe if meteor showers will be a world-changer, they'll laugh in your face.

However, for this universe, this world, it will change things.

"w-what is happening?"

Weiss sat on her bed, watching the colorful night sky. She should be afraid, as no one had ever witnessed a meteor shower.

But in her heart, she hoped this was one time of a chance, a sign that she wished for a better life than she currently had.

She clasps her hands together and closes her eyes, wishing for her father, no matter how despicable he is, to change, even if there's a sliver of hope for it, she will grasp it. She wishes for her family to be closer, to be an actual family.

Unknown to her, when she closed her eyes, a lone streak of light strayed from its pack and headed down to remnants.

Pyrrha Nikos, a promising young fighter, was a kind warrior who would make her place in the world

Pyrrha is not one to brag or be arrogant, but she can't deny her fame, which has become a problem for her in making genuine friends.

But as she watched the colorful night sky, she didn't expect a lone streak of light to stray away from its path and head straight down to Argus, which is the city she currently lives in.

Her eyes widened as she ducked for cover as a stray light hit the shore near the Atlas Port. The building vibrated violently, cracks appeared everywhere, and she feared that the city would collapse and many people would die.

But the shaking stopped just as she mustered the will to stand up. She shakily walked to where the stray light had landed. Her walk turned to running when she finally got her bearings back.

With her superior athletic physique, she made it in no time. The impact made a large crater, and water was exempted from it. She squints her eyes when she sees something in the middle of the crater.

She jumped down and went to take a closer look. She let out a shocked gasp when she found a teenager, probably older or the same age as her, lying face down. He had horrible injuries all over his body. She could see bones sticking out in some fatal injuries. His right arm was missing and it was bleeding profusely. He laid his head in his own pool of blood.

Slapping her cheek to make sure this is real and not a morbid hallucination, she immediately snaps back to reality and rushes downstairs to check on him. She turns him around, taking note of three whisker-like marks on his cheek. She finds it cute, even though his face is covered in blood.

He is also bleeding from the left eye socket; the sight was horrid to see.

she is confident in her own physical muscle but that doesn't make him a little bit light as she slung him over her shoulder, with a grunt, she make a beeway line to a nearest clinic she know who can help him

The clinic, were in disarray, the earthquake made the building look about to collapse in any second, the workers and hunter speed around the clinic, working double time to ensure everyone safety, she weave past several people, she stood in front of the reception

"hello, miss" pyrrha said hurriedly, the nurse who was running around take one look at her and call in some people, they immediately put him on a stretcher and move to er

pyrrha watch with baited breath as the guy being carry away, whoever she is, she hope he can make it through, whoever he is

Somewhere in a plain forest of vale, raven branwen, leader of her tribe, was currently curled up on the ground, her clothes drench with sweat as her eyes dilated in panic

when her eyes were upon the racing stars, her heart beat up faster and she found herself couldn't breathe, her people scurried around her, trying to find what was wrong with her

Fewer people know that she is more sensitive than most, due to her ... unique circumstances

She felt something when she saw that stray light; as if a connection were made. All sorts of emotions hit her like a truck, and she couldn't stand up against it. As if fighting a tide with just a shield.

It wrecked her entire core, to the point of overloading her senses with emotions that were not her own, making her almost crazy

Flashes of images appear in her mind, a blur of vision, it's too much for her brain; sounds of war and despair, smells of charred air; she senses them all at once.

In the end, all she could do was curl up and clutch her head in pain. Raven didn't remember the last time she had cried; it must have been when one of her teammates went missing, presumed dead, but she rarely cried from physical pain.

She marks this day to be one of them.
