The stadium has a dull roar flowing from it as the masses of spectators chatter about who they think will win. In the arena itself are the chunin hopefuls and they each have slightly changed their looks (i know sasuke gets a change for the exams but i can't remember if the others do. If they change their looks for the exams then just imagine that during their fights otherwise they look the same.) a man walks out and shifts the senbon in his mouth as he does a few hand signs.
"WELCOME TO THE FINAL ROUND OF THE CHUNIN EXAMS! THESE YOUNG NINJA WILL FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT TO BECOME A CHUNIN!" the man roars with chakra enhancing his voice.
The crowd cheers and the chunin hopefuls are sent to the stands to wait for their turn as two remain in the stadium.
"THE FIRST FIGHT WILL BE BETWEEN JAKE HYUUGA AND NARUTO UZUMAKI! LET THE CHUNIN EXAMS BEGIN!" the man roars.
Naruto smirks and makes a hand seal before a rush of smoke announces the arrival of dozens of clones. The small army rushes at Jake and the long haired boy simply falls into his fighting stance. Pops ring out as Jake cuts down the clones with glowing blue fingers. Naruto roars and two clones join him as chakra swirls in his hand. The attack is slowly formed before naruto charges forward and tries to hit jake with the ball of energy.
"The rasengan? How did you learn it?" Jake asks as he ducks and dodges away from the attack.
"Pervy sage taught me!" Naruto replies.
Jake raises a brow as chakra collects along his fingers. The glow shifts to an ugly green as his jabs turn to sweeping hits. Blood spews from the orange clad boy as the chakra scalpels slice into his flesh.
Jake drops to a knee and slides under Naruto with his hands lashing out as the blonde youth screams in pain. Naruto drops to the ground and steam floats off his body as the wounds close.
"Your fighting style is atrocious and your tactics are laughable. Give up." Jake states to naruto.
"Never! A hokage doesn't quit!" Naruto shouts as he struggles to his feet.
"You're a genin. You can quit." Jake comments as they resume the battle.
Up in the stands William is standing next to Sam as they watch the fight.
"His form is still too rigid for the scalpels." William comments.
"He could be doing more damage but he seems determined to break the kid." Sam responds.
William nods in agreement and Jake laughs as he flips over an attack before sliding his fingers along Naruto's back.
The boy drops and cries out in pain as the severed muscles in his back heal. Jake smirks before rushing forward. He lowers his stance and the hyuuga clan members in the stand gasp as they realize his intentions.
"You're in my range of destruction. Bloody palms!" Jake roars.
His hands flare with chakra as he strikes naruto in the back. Each attack is counted before his hand is balled into a fist and thrust forward.
"128 bloody palms!" Jake roars as blood floods out of Naruto's mouth.
A thud is heard as an orange clad body hits the ground. Blood pools around him as steam gushes from his body. Jake is announced the winner and he tiredly smiles before a mass of black and yellow envelopes him. The cloud of insects brings Jake to his team and William sends his insects to replenish the chakra of his friend. Jake waves off the bees after his reserves reach half and he tiredly sighs.
"I'm fine. Just tired. The palms take a lot of chakra and doing them at the end of a battle was just gonna knock me on my ass." Jake groans.
William nods and hands his friend a jar of honey before they resume watching the fights.
Shikamaru does a good job with his shadows but he ultimately gives up when he catches temari. Sam laughs and steps back before running forward. He jumps off the railing of the stadium and lands with a roll. He stands with a laugh and looks over to see neji standing tall and proud.
"SAM VS NEJI HYUUGA! FIGHT!" the proctor for the matches announces.
Sam forms hand seals before he spews out a wave of lava that neji blocks with a dome of chakra. Neji comes out of the spin in time for Sam to leap out of the lava pooled around him. Orange hair flies as sam slugs neji in the jaw. The young man scowls and lashes out with a jab. Sam curses as he is hit in the shoulder.
Lava flows from Sam and forms into a copy of himself before the clone charges neji. Sam forms hand seals with one arm after biting his thumb and he slaps his good hand on the ground. A red lizard with a staff emerges from the smoke and covers Sam's hurt arm in blue lava. Neji dodges the small waves of lava being sent at him by the clone before he throws a kunai. The metal blade is reduced to slag after hitting a wall of lava raised to protect the clone. The wall shifts into a puddle before a tendril of lava shoots towards neji.
Neji scowls and ducks under the attack before his feet glow blue with chakra as he runs on top of the molten rock. Sam curses and joins his clone in making hand seals before twin chinese dragons of lava form and fly at neji. Neji barks out a curse and spins, forming the dome of chakra. The dome glows like a sun as it holds back the dragons turned pillars of lava that are now just spraying molten rock.
"I can keep this up for a while fuck nuts! Just give up before I cook my friend's cousin!" Sam calls over the roar of the lava.
The dome falls and neji leaps out with a bark of pain as he holds an arm. The limb is badly burned and a few places are black from the heat of the lava. Neji groans in pain before he announces his forfeit. Sam cools the lava before jogging towards neji. The proctor calls that the fight is over and Sam needs to stop. Sam ignores him and keeps jogging towards neji as he reaches into a pocket.
Several jonin stand in front of the hurt boy as Sam stops before them. He has a tub of something in his hand.
"You have won! Stop trying to hurt my youthful student!" gai cries out.
"What? I wanna give him burn cream. Stuff works wonders when I burn my friends during training." Sam replies holding up the small jar.
Gai breaks out into tears at this and starts shouting about how youthful Sam is as he hugs the orange haired boy. After the traumatic event is finished. William is called next to fight sasuke and they end up having to wait. The hokage tries to disqualify the boy for not showing up for his fight but the crowd yells in anger at this so the hokage snaps.
"FINE. YOU WANT HIM TO FIGHT?! THEN I'LL LET THE FIGHT HAPPEN BUT HE IS NOT BECOMING A CHUNIN! IF HE IS LATE LIKE THIS TO A MISSION THEN WE WOULD LOSE CUSTOMERS AND MONEY FOR THE VILLAGE! ANBU! BRING SASUKE UCHIHA HERE NOW!" the hokage roars.
Anbu vanishes from his side and they reappear in the arena to put down sasuke who is cursing at them for putting their hands on him. The raven haired youth stands and spots william. Both boys eye each other for a moment before the proctor announces the fight. Sasuke smirks and spits out a ball of fire as his eyes bleed red.
William vanishes in a blur before appearing in front of Sasuke with a can in his grip. William presses down on the can and a stream of fluid sprays into sasuke's eyes. Pained screams emerge as sasuke flails around while william puts the can away in his coat and steps out of range of the pained flailing.
"WHAT DID YOU DO YOU BASTARD!" sasuke screams.
"Pepper spray. Your greatest strength is your eyes so I made them useless." William replies.
Sasuke screams more before William lunges forward and chops him on the back of the neck. The raven haired youth falls to the ground unconscious. William places a small bottle of liquid next to Sasuke before he begins walking away. Kakashi appears in a swirl of leaves and picks up his student.
"Take the bottle. It's medicine that will get rid of the burning from the pepper spray." William calls to the gray haired man.
Kakashi nods and picks up the bottle before vanishing. The crowd is quiet for a moment before many people start yelling. The proctor sighs and calms the crowd after grabbing william. Both of them do the hand signs so the crowd can hear them talk.
"Alright. I'm pretty sure that the crowd wants to know how you beat the kid so easily." the proctor tells william.
"He is an uchiha. They are a clan focused on their eyes like the hyuuga. I temporarily blinded him with pepper spray before knocking him out." the heavily covered boy responds.
"Pepper spray? The stuff a civilian woman uses if a guy tries to force himself on her?" the proctor asks.
"Yes. by blinding a clan with a dojutsu you effectively get rid of a large amount of their strength. It's why the villages hidden in the mist and sand can fight us. The sand village uses sandstorms to blind their enemies while the mist village uses mist. They are smaller than we are and their ninjas are not as strong but they can nullify our dojutsu users with their techniques and thus make the fight easier for them." William explains.
The crowd soon starts chattering about pepper spray as William walks up to the competitor area in the stands.
