Let's go!

Of all the ways Killua expected to come back to the Human World, doing so in a tangled dogpile of bodies along with his friends and the new guy wasn't one of them. And what's more, they seem to have landed on top of some people on a room filled with computers. 'This kind of things only happen to me...' He thought with annoyance.

"Are we back?" Tai asked, squirming from the bottom of the pile.

"I think so," T.K said looking around. "Yep, this is the computation lab."

Killua was at the bottom of the pile along with Tai, but he preferred to wait for Kari, the new guy Davis, and T.K to get off him.

"You guys really went to the Digital World, right?" He heard a young voice say, way too young to be any of the Digidestined he knew.

Davis twistes himself out of Killua's back and looked back at the one who spoke. "How did ya know about the Digital World?" He asked.

"Because Izzy told us," A feminine voice said and Killua this time was able to see it was from a girl with glasses and purple hair, that was holding a embarrassed Kari due to the position where she fell. "And because we have theses~" She said in a sing song voice and showed a Digivice like Davis', except hers was red.

"Oh, so those are the other three beams," Kari said in understanding, remembering how three lights came out of the computer, one being caugh by Davis.

"Guys, can you all please get off me!" Killua finally said, tired of being at the bottom of the pile.

"Oops, sorry man," T.K apologized.

They all climbed out of the boy's back, allowing him to accommodate himself. Stretching his arms and popping his spine. "Ah, much better!"

"Killua?!"

He turned to see a baffled redhead sitting on a chair, cookie crums falling off his fallen jaw. Killua blinked for a moment to recognize him and his eyes widened. "Izzy? Is that you?" He let out a smile. "Men, you all grew a lot without me!"

Izzy got up and continued to look at the boy with wide eyes. "You? Here?! How?! And why do you look the same?!" He couldn't help but fire rapid question, his curious personality getting the best of him.

Killua held out his hands. "Woah, woah, slow down, one per time!" He said. "In order: Yes, me. Yes, I'm here. I'll explain the how latter. And time dilation is still a thing apparently."

"I see. Fascinating," The redhead mutters as he cups his chin with his hand in a thinking pose.

Yolei, tired of being out of the loop, and being promised by Izzy that he would explain everything once the others were back, spoke up. "Can you guys please tell us what's happening now?! And who's the albino?!"

"Miyako!" Iori said in a scolding manner, then he bowed to Killua apologetically. "I'm sorry about that. She's just... Like that..." He said, meekly.

Killua stared at the two for a moment. These were the two new Digidestined, alongside with Davis. He wasn't judging them or anything, doing so would be hypocritical since they were just chosen, Tai and the others weren't any better -- If anything they were worse, because they were stranded in another world. But from what he could gather they were the perfect mismatch couple: The extrovert girl, and the respectful boy. "Don't worry about it. I'm Killua, by the way."

"He's an old friend of us," T.K said, to clarify his relationship with the others.

"Oh, I see. I'm Yolei, nice to meetcha," She said and pointed at Iori. "And this is Cody."

"I'm not; I'm Iori. Iori Hida," He bowed to the white haired boy. "Nice to meet you, and please do not call me by that name," He asked, respectfully.

Killua nodded and shrugged his shoulders. "Okay."

Yolei a bit miffed that Iori didn't accepted his nickname, turned to Davis again. "So you were in the Digital World? How was it?!"

"It was crazy!" The boy said. "There were this slug things on a vending machine, and T.C and Kari had this partners, and then a dinosaur chased us and then I lifted an egg and now I have my own partner!" He recapped.

Killua snorted. "In any other context that would sound too crazy," He paused for a moment. "Even in this one it sounds pretty damn crazy."

"Amen," The veterans mumbled, knowing the truth behind that statement.

Yolei's eyes were sparkling. "That sounds amazing! If you can have a partner, then I can have one too!" She said, taking out her red Digivice. "After all we all have this Digithingy-"

"Digivice," Kari corrected.

"That, thank you!" Yolei nodded. "What do you say, Cody, should we go now?!"

Ignoring the nickname he never approved of, Iori seemed unsure of what to do. He looked down at the yellow Digivice in hand and at the computer. "To believe such a place is real..." He muttered. "Can we really go?"

"Actually, we shouldn't, not right now," Tai said, looking at the clock in the wall. "It's getting late and your parents might get worry -- Not to mention ours."

"That would be for the best," Izzy nodded. "And with this port in the computer we can access anytime."

"Sorry Yolei, let's wait until tomorrow," T.K said.

Yolei looked at the three boys that offered reasonable arguments. But she couldn't help but feel wronged. Davis, then dork jog, went to the Digital World and tell her how awesome it was, and now that she wanted to go they had to go home. "Awwww this isn't fair!" Fair or not, the group left the computer room to go on their separate ways.

When they were in the hallway, Izzy stopped and turned back. "Hold up a second guys, I wanna check the Digiport before we leave."

The veterans stopped and looked at the redhead. "You do that," Tai said. "I'm going to call the gang so we can discuss about all of this and to give them a... Little surprise," He said turning to Killua.

The boy arched and eyebrow and let out a sly smile. "I'm in, whatever the heck you're planning." He said.

With that, they continued their way out of the school while Izzy went back to the computer room. He got out his Digivice to see if it worked, just a quick in and out, T.K and Kari's did so his should as well. "Let's see if it works... Huh?" When he looked at the computer the screen of the Digiport was red. "It's close again... But why?"

After he looked at the text in his phone, he decided he had to leave immediately to attend the meeting.

"You're leaving already, Matt?" One of his bandmates asked.

He turned around and gave them an apologetic smile. "Sorry, something important came up," He holstered the case where his guitar was in on his shoulder and walked out of the storage building where they practiced. "See you guys tomorrow."

In a park, where a certain trolley cart was parked, a group of five teenagers and two pre-teens gathered as they waited for their final member to arrive.

Sora, wearing her green uniform, looked at Tai from the entrance of the trolley cart. "Can you at least give us a clue? It's obvious that T.K, Kari and Izzy already know what this is all about."

Tai smiled and shook his head. "Not until he arrives," He said in a mock-scolding tone.

From the top of a tree, Killua bit down a snicker bubbling from his mouth. Wanting to see the reactions of the others when he reveals himself.

"Hey! Sorry I'm late!" The group turned to see Matt arriving.

"Hey Matt," T.K waved at his brother with a smile.

"Hey, bro," Matt walked to him and ruffled his head, hat and all. "Sorry I couldn't see you at school, the schedule and the band kept me busy."

"That's okay," T.K grinned.

Joe looked at Tai, after the brothers finished their greeting. "Well, now we are all here, what's this about."

"First of all we have a surprise for you," Kari said with a joking tone. "Come on out, suprise."

Taking that as his cue, Killua dropped the Zetsu and leaped down from the tree. "Suprise!"

The unsuspicious teens all gasped as they saw the white haired boy appeared in front of them. "KILLUA?!"

"Yo!" He waved at them.

The questions began rapidly, pretty much like Izzy did when he emerged from the Digital World.

"Oh my God, it is you!"

"How've you been?"

"How are you here?!"

"Wait, you haven't changed!"

They crowded around the boy and he felt embarrassed by all of the attention, and the fact that he was now smaller and younger than all of them. "Okay, okay, give me some air. Geez!" He said.

The group relented and took a step back, giving the boy time to breath.

He smiled and walked to a bench. "It's good to see you all, guys," He frowned. "But... Where's Mimi?"

Sora smiled with a bit of sadness. "Because of her dad's job, she had to move to America, to the USA, another continent and country."

Killua was a bit bummed at hearing the news. That the whole group wasn't together to catch up with them after this five months/years. "I see, that's a shame."

"Anyway," Matt cut in. "How are you here? Is the Digital World in danger again."

"About that last part, yes it is," Killua nodded. "But that's not exactly how I got here."

"Then why?" Joe asked. "And how's the Digital World in danger again?"

"You see... Some jerk called the Digimon Emperor, a human kid of all things, is slaving Digimon with something called Dark Rings," Kari explained. "He has a new form of Digivice and things called Control Towers that nullifies Digivolution. Patamon and Leomon weren't able to fight back against him because of that." She explained, showing various levels of frustration at the thought.

"A human?! You mean a Digidestined is doing that?!" Sora asked.

Killua snorted. "Sounds more like an Anti-Digidestined, full with a Digivice that cancels evolution instead of causing it."

Joe gulped and asked a question all of them presents have been dreading. "Our partners are fine, right?"

There was a heavy silence after that question and Tai sighed. "Patamon and Gatomon were the only ones to escape... According to them, Agumon and the others were captured. Even Leomon."

Shivers ran down everyone's as they heard the terrible news. Their partners were in the hands of some maniac Digidestined to be used as their personal slaves to conquer the Digital World. And with those Control Towers they were unable to Digivolve, even if they were free.

"No way..." Sora said, feeling numbed at the thought of Piyomon in hands of someone like that.

"Damnit, so what can we do now?!" Matt asked, feeling angry at the thought of Gabumon suffering.

"Not everything is bad news," Killua said, causing everyone's attention. "Apparently, the so-called emperor isn't the only one with a special Digivice."

"He's right," T.K nodded. "My classmate, Davis, also has one. And he found an object in a cave that allows him to evolve, even with the towers."

"I think his partner, V-mon, said Armor Digivolves when he evolved," Tai mused. "So maybe it's another way of evolution."

"That raises a lot of questions," Izzy said. "Why was that egg there? Why was V-mon sealed there? Are there any others? Why weren't we told of them?"

"For the last one it could be that it's something resent," Killua offered. "But for the rest, it's obvious that no one knows."

"That doesn't matter," Matt said. "If the kid can fight then that's great, but I don't feel comfortable letting it all to him."

"Then there's nothing to worry about," Tai said, leaning back against a tree. "There are other two with the same kind of Digivice as Davis, so maybe there are other eggs. And we have Killua back, and with his powers," He said poiting at Killua.

"Unlike last time I'm not limited by those shackles," Killua grinned and held out his fist. "I can use my Nen and other abilities to break those rings with Davis' help."

Sora smiled. "Wow, all of this makes it sound like there's now a whole new generation of Digidestined to take care of this."

"Wow, retirement age sure is something different for the Digital World," Killua jested.

That brought small chuckles from the group, easing the heavy atmosphere that grew after the news of the Emperor.

As they subsided, Joe turned to Killua. "Then... How did you get back here, Killua?"

Killua's face dropped and he let out a sigh as his body leaned forward on his seat. "My sister..."

That brought a round of surprise from the group. Not knowing this about the boy or at the fact that this sister of his could be the one responsible to sent him back to the Digital World and to their lives.

"Sister?" Matt tilted his head. "But I thought you said you only had brothers."

"It's complicated," And technically he wasn't wrong since Alluka was biologically a boy. But hey, if she wanted to be referred to as a female, then he was going to do so!

"And how is she responsible of sending you here?" Izzy asked.

Killua mulled his thoughts for a moment and talked. "My sister is different. She has a power greater than any of you could imagine. She can basically grant any wish with a series of rules. But she can make exceptions and... When she saw a picture of you guys and wanted to make me visiti you she used her powers to send me to File Island. If she didn't came with me is because she doesn't know where that place is, and I only arrived because I know."

"So she wanted to make something nice, but backfired?" Kari asked, eyeing the boy with sympathy.

"Yeah..." He sighed. "But I'm not so worried as I was before with the whole deal with Gon. If a year here is a month there, then Alluka should be safe for the time being... That doesn't mean I won't try to find a way back."

"Well that takes out the question about how you look the same," Joe mused. "But, by the way, what happened in your world? With those... What were they... Insects?"

"Ants. Chimera Ants," Killua clarified, his expression turning dark. "We beat them. Some of them even turned on their ways and joined us to live an honest life. Since they have the same intelligence as humans, they reasoned with some of us and helped us out to defeat their leaders..." He shuddered, remembering beings like Youpi and Pouff, as well as the king itself.

This Emperor guy got no shit against the terror he felt when Killua saw the king when they were about to confront Pitou, or the strength he felt from the Royal Guards. At this point, he doubted there was anything in the Digital World that could surpass what he lived in that palace.

"And what about Gon?" Tai asked. "How is he?"

Killua tensed as images bombarded his head. His best friend's cold eyes as they entered that room, the rage he emanated when Pitou was healing that blind girl, his cold words towards him about how he didn't cared about his mentor, the transformation he went through because of his Contract, and his body in an hospital bead... waiting for death.

"He's okay... But he ended up in critical condition after we faced the Ants," He said, covering as much as he could, not wanting to remember much of that time. "But Alluka and her powers healed him. That's around the time when I took Alluka and started taking care of her." He explained.

Kari tilted her head. "Why didn't she stayed with your family. Why didn't the two of you did?"

The innocent question caught everyone off guard and they tensed. The rest of the Digidestined looking at Killua, knowing the reason behind that. Killua cut any relationship with his family to stop being an assassin. But Kari didn't know about that part of his past.

Without missing a bit, Killua answered. "As a Hunter I have to be on the move for any mission the association might gave me. And because my family is... Kind of afraid of Alluka's powers, so I took her with me. Her powers in the wrong hands could be dangerous, but with me she's going to be happy and safe." He explained.

Kari nodded in understanding and the group relaxed.

"Enough about me," Killua said. "Does anything happened, interesting enough, before all of this?" He asked.

Tai and Matt exchanged looks. "Well..." The goggle wearing brunette drawled. "There was this one Digimon that almost caused a nuclear war..."

Killua blinked at that. "Eh?"

Izzy chuckled at his reaction. "A year after Apocalymon, a Digimon name Tsumemon appeared. It started devouring data around the world and evolving at an alarming rate. Soon he was a Rookie, then Champion, then Ultimate, and then Mega. And when he became a Mega he multiplied itself in millions of itself and even devoured the launch codes of nuclear weapons!"

Killua blinked and took that in. "Holy shit—Finally I can swear without these two being affected—" He said pointing to T.K and Kari, who laughed sheepishly. "So how did you beat a Digimon that evolved so fast and millions of them?"

"Well it was tough at first, since everyone was busy, Mimi was already in America by that time, and communication wasn't possible for because of the Digimon. So it was only Izzy and me for a while," Tai explained. "Matt and T.K managed to join us after finding a computer in a place on the rural town where their grandma lives."

"Took us while," Matt grimaced.

"I was busy with a test, so I couldn't even receive the message that told us all of this," Joe said, scratching his head sheepishly.

Kari looked away with a nervous smile. "I was at a friend's birthday..." Not her proudest moment. The world in danger and she worried about the cake.

"And I..." She glanced at Tai for a brief moment before answering. "I was busy at my mom's shop," In reality she was mad at Tai for something petty, so she ignored his messages all day.

"So ZeedGarurumon and VictoryGreymon joined the fight," Izzy continued. "But because of a certain someone," He look at Tai, who looked away embarrassed. "The computer where we watched the fight got frozen and VictoryGreymon stopped moving."

"Not only that, but because the Digimon caused the event to be seeing by everyone around the world," Matt interject. "Many people were sending emails and causing our Digimon to move slowly."

"Like a game lagging," Killua compared.

"Exactly," Tai said. "So when we fixed the computer, both VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon were pretty beaten. But something happened. Somehow Matt and I entered to the place where they were fighting, and VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon did something amazing: They fused!"

Killua's jaw reached the floor at what he heard. "Excuse me: What?!"

"It was something amazing," Izzy said. "VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon grew in size before their bodies disappeared leaving only their heads. Then from their heads arms appeared. The most amazing part was that they used the messages from the people of the world to form their body."

"It looked like some sort of knight," T.K said. "With ZeedGarurumon and VictoryGreymon's heads as his hands. He named himself ZVOmnimon." He explained.

"And he beat the clones with more powerful versions of the Zeed Cannon and the Dramon Breaker," Izzy said. "Seconds before the launching."

Killua just sat there. The whole story sounding crazier that what he was used to. "... And here I thought my last summer was crazy," He said caressing his face as he processed all of that.

That got a few rounds of laughter. As everyone seemed to never had a moment of rest. Between the life as a Hunter and a Digidestined.

"Welp, I think that's it for today," Killua said, getting up. "It's getting late and tomorrow we are going to the Digital World to check on everything happening."

"Can I go?" Sora asked. "I... I won't feel good with myself if something happens to Piyomon and I'm not around."

"I'll go too!" Izzy said. "I want to find a way to help Tentomon."

Matt sighed. "I wish I could go, but my band might suspect something if I keep skipping practice. Please, if you guys see Gabumon, help him." He asked, with pleading eyes.

"I have a lot of classes tomorrow, but I ask you the same," Joe said. "Help Gomamon if you see him."

Kari smiled. "As if you needed to ask, of course we will."

With that, the reunion was off and they all went their separate ways. Matt decided to walk T.K home to catch up with him. And in the end only Killua and the Kamiya siblings remained.

"Well, time to go home," Tai said. "And to think of something to say to mom..."

"Why not just tell the truth?" Kari asked, tilting her head.

"She'll freak out," Tai said with a dry chuckle.

"Sounds about right..." Killua muttered, remembering how the woman almost had a breakdown during the Myotismon incident. "Let's just say I somehow appeared again, without knowing how it happened. It'll save me explaining everything about Alluka over and over again."

Tai shrugged. "Sounds good, let's go."

Kari went ahead of them, while the two boys lagged behind. Mainly to discuss something behind the girl's back... Quite literally.

"So, are you going to tell her?" Tai asked in a whisper. "About your past?"

"Are you?" Killua asked back, hands on his pockets. "You could have told her in this past five years."

"It's not my secret to tell," Tai said with a serious frown. "But she's the only one who doesn't know... She and the new kids."

"I know," Killua groaned. "But I can't come out and just say it," He was aware of the irony of that, since that's how Gon learned from his past. Kari wasn't Gon, and from the way she spoke about the Emperor she didn't liked people who toyed with the lives of others... Kind of how he did. "Let's sort this issue with the Emperor and then I'll see."

"Okay, only if you feel ready. I won't pressure you," Tai said, with a light smile.

Killua nodded in appreciation. "Thanks Tai," He said.

Kari turned, eyeing them curiously. "Hey what's the hold up?"

"Nuthin'!" They said.

Tai opened the door and let his sister and guest enter. "We're home!" He called to his mother

"Hi, mom!" Kari said, entering as well.

Killua didn't said anything, just entered the house with an slightly awkward stance on his body, similar on how he arrived to Whale Island for the first time.

"Where were you two?" Yuuko asked, stepping out of the kitchen. "It's kind of late."

Tai scratched his head apologetically with a nervous chuckle. "Sorry, sorry... Somethings came up and... We had to pick up an old friend."

Yuuko arched an eyebrow. "Old friend...?" She took notice of the mop of white hair on the top of a boy's head standing next to her daughter, looking nervously at the floor. "You are that boy! From five years ago!" She gasped.

Killua raised his head with a shy smile. "H-hey... Miss Kamiya," He said, feeling as nervous as he did when he met Miss Mito.

"How are you here? Tai told me you lived in another world, like the one that appeared in the sky! And you haven't changed!" She said, remembering the crazy events from those years ago.

"Well," Killua scratched his head. "Some things happened and I was dropped here... And Tai offered me a place to stay... Since I kind of don't have anywhere to go. And I didn't changed because time in my world is... kind of different." He said, stumbling in his words.

Tai and Kari stared at Killua wide-eyed. Killua, he leader of their group, slayer of Piedmon, the guy that faced Apocalymon by himself while they were trapped in the void, was feeling awkward at receiving attention from their caring mother.

"Oh you poor thing," Yuuko frowned at hearing the boy was basically homeless. "I guess you can stay here until you can go home. Sounds good?"

Killua nodded. "Thank you..."

"Don't worry about it," She gave him a motherly smile. "Now come, dinner is almost done and dad is working late again." She said turning around.

Tai and Kari visibly paled and Killua eyed them curiously. "What's wrong with the two of you?"

Kari dropped her head. "We're sorry in advance."

Killua tilted his head. He got the message, their mom's food wasn't maybe the best. But he's been drinking poisonous stuff since he was a baby.

How bad could it be?

Killua was lying on Tai's bead while wishing to have poison to wash his mouth. "Ugggggh..." He kept a kind and thankful front for the mother's sake, and out of fear he'll be kicked out if he was rude, and swallowed the beans with seaweed on them. "Who puts seaweed with beans?! No, scratch that, who puts seaweed in anything?!"

"Mom, apparently," Kari said with a slight giggle, while preparing the futon for Killua. Tai was taking a bath in the meantime. "She's been having this idea of experimenting."

"Well I guess is better this than to die of starvation on the street," He said. He eyed her for a moment. "You didn't have to set the futon, I could have done it."

"Don't worry about it," She said. "You're the guest and you're going to help us with whatever happens in the Digital World," She turned to him and gave him a smile. "It's the least I can do."

Killua smiled back. "I guess. I still can't believe I'm here... I don't know what I'll do with Alluka and Naika when I go back... Either I ground them or give them a big hug... Maybe both."

Kari paused and turned to him. "Nanika? As in... Something?" She asked.

"Ummm..." Killua hummed. "Nanika is like... An entity, a second personality of sorts, she's actually the one with the powers. But for simplicity's sake I used Alluka's name since she's the one I interact the most." He explained.

"Okay..." She still didn't wrapped her head around all of those concepts, but grasped the basics. She looked down at the futon. "There, all set!"

Killua sat up. "Thanks again... If Tai isn't here soon, he'll sleep there." He smirked evilly at his ploy. Just like he stole Gon's bed.

Kari giggled at the joke and sat up, ready to go to her room. When she turned ten, his father turned his studio into a bedroom for her, because according to her mother a young lady needed privacy. "I better get going, even if we didn't have to go to the Digital world, we still have to deal with school."

Killua winced. While he never went to a normal school, he had tutors... Albeit harsh ones. "I guess it's a good thing I bailed out of that one."

"Lucky," Kari mock pouted before marching to the door. She turned back one more time and gave him a bright smile. "It's good to have you back, Killua!" She said and left.

Killua smiled back and sighed, collapsing on the bed and watching the ceiling. 'Yeah... I guess...' He continued to worry about Alluka and Nanika, but at the least this time he knows she'll be safe. And at the least this time the bad guy was only one in sight.

Shit. He hoped.

The moment the bell rang to signal the end of classes, Izzy ran to the computer room to check on the Digiport again.

He took the time to check on all of the other computers to see if they could open the gate, but none of them had anything weird on them. The only one with the gate was the one that received the mail.

As he sat down in the main computer, he let out a frustrated sigh. 'I'm pretty sure it was Gennai who sent this mail and the Digiport program. But why do they only open with this new Digivices?' He wondered.

"Izzy, you're here so early?" He turned to see Yolei and Iori arriving to the lab.

"Yeah, I wanted to check the gate," Izzy said. "Something bothered me last night and I came to confirm it. Don't worry, it's nothing serious."

"I can relate," Iori confessed. "I've been anxious since last night... Izzy, can we truly go today to the Digital World?"

Izzy stared at them for a moment, before turning to the computer with a frown. "Maybe... Let's see," He checked the port and his eyes widened, it was open again. "Just as I thought, now that the new Digivices are here it's open..." He muttered.

There were various taps on the window and the three turned to see a mop of white hair hanging on it. Killua waved at them as they finally noticed. "Yo!"

"Killua!" Izzy got up and opened the window. "What are you doing?"

Killua entered through the window and straightened. "Did you wanted me to walk by the front door? I can't exactly blend in the crowd of students," He said. "And since I can't come to school, I had to sneak off."

"Are you a ninja?!" Yolei suddenly blurted out, stars on her eyes.

All of the boys present sweatdropped. "I... Guess?" Killua said. An assassin was basically a ninja.

Before anyone could say anything else, the rest of the group arrived, this time with Sora with them. Davis wave enthusiastically. "Hey there! We're here!"

Introductions were made between Sora and the new set of Digidestined. At her request, they pulled their Digivices out for her to see. "So those are the new Digivices?" She asked as she leaned forward.

"Yup, they all seemed to come out of the computer when the gate opened yesterday," Tai explained with a smile.

Yolei smiled eagerly as she clutched her red Digivice. "Can we go now, please?"

Davis smiled cheekly at her. "Hey now, the Digital World is a dangerous place you know?" He said with arrogance.

Killua rolled his eyes. "Said the guy who was only there one day."

Davis sputtered and glared at the boy while Yolei snickered and Iori sweatdropped at the two upperclassmen, before deciding to speak. "For my part... I'm ready for any eventuality," He said.

Izzy walked along the other computers. "I checked all of this computers and there's no port in them. Only the one where the mail arrived and where the Digivices came from."

Killua scratched his chin. "Hmmm maybe it's not about the computers..." He mused.

T.K turned to him. "What do you mean, Killua?" He asked.

"... Better explained it later," He decided. "To not waste any time in case what I have in mind doesn't work."

"Very well then," Tai nodded. "Davis, you should take the lead." He said.

"Alright then!" Davis walked forward. "Okay everyone get ready!" He said, smiling and pointing his Digivice at the screen.

The group gathered around him. Sora and Izzy feeling anxious at seeing the state the Digital World was and what has happened to their partners. While Yolei and Iori were ready to get into this mysterious world and see what this was all about.

Those who explored it yesterday were anxious, knowing what awaited them in the other side; the Digimon Emperor and their captured friends, as well as other captured Digimon by this human.

The gate started glowing...

"Kamiya is that you?!"

... And promptly closed as everyone yelped as they heard a foreign voice behind them.

"M-mister Fujiyama?!" Tai stammered as they turned to see a teacher entering.

Killua ducked behind a shelf to hide from the suspicious of an adult, using Zetsu to hide further. 'This is going to be thing, right?' He asked with a deadpan.

"What are you doing here?" Tai asked, all of them putting a forced smile at the teacher.

"Well, I was in charge of supervising the clubs," The man explained. "So I'll be the computation club's adviser." He said proudly.

Tai and Sora blinked. "You know about computers?!" They asked in shock.

"Nope, not a thing!" Was the man's cheerful reply.

They both dropped their heads at that. Figures.

Deciding to take the matter in hand, Tai walked forward with a fake smile. "Actually, Mister Fujiyama, I have some questions about some subjects from my classes," He said gritting his teeth through his smile. "Maybe you could help me with them? It's mostly biology, chemistry, history," Tai pushed the confused man out of the computer room, not before pointing subtlety at the computer.

Killua poked out of the shelf he was hiding. "There goes a brave soldier..." He mock-saluted.

"We own this one to Tai," Sora smiled. "Now we can get in!"

Both generations of Digidestined took out their Digivices and pointed them at the computer, Killua made sure to be close so he could be sucked in as well, just like how he came to the Human World.

With a flash of light, there was no one left in the room.

"How did this happen again?!"

"At least I'm not at the bottom this time..."

"But I am..." Izzy groaned as he was the one in the bottom of a dogpile.

"Why do I have the feeling this will become a trend?" Killua asked, somewhere in the middle of the pile of limbs.

Both generations and the Anomaly untangled themselves from the pile.

As she straightened themselves, Yolei looked down at her clothes in surprise. Instead of the purple dress she was wearing, she was wearing red pants, a blue sweater under a brown vest, a pair of white gloves, and a helmet over her head. "Woah, what's this?!"

"What do you-woah!" Iori also straightened himself and looked at his clothes. Instead of his purple, long sleeved shirt, he was wearing a brown Chinese robe with purple pants. "Mine changed too!"

Davis grinned and put on a pose. "Well check out mine! Pretty lit, huh?" He said with a pun.

"Yeah, yeah, pretty cute Davis," Yolei dismissed. "Mine's cooler."

"Check those glasses again," Davis said scowling at the girl. "Mine is better!"

"In your dreams!" She tapped her helmet. "I even come prepared for any eventuality!"

Iori tried to separate the two. "Come on guys, you both look good!" He said.

The previous generation and Killua all started at them with a sweatdrop. "Is it just me or are the new kids kind of... Relaxed?" Sora said, trying to find the right word. "Maybe is the age gap..."

"Give them a break," Killua said. "They aren't trapped in this world, unlike us the first time."

Kari laughed a little. "Sora you talk as if you were an adult!" She said.

Davis started running forward. "C'mon! I wanna present you to V-mon!" He said as he ran.

"Wait up, you dolt!" Yolei said as she and Iori ran behind him.

"Better to follow before something comes up..." T.K muttered as he watched them go.

No one protested to that and they followed the new group.

In his throne, The Empero watched as the kids arrived to his world again. "I've been waiting for you..." He said with an eager smile. "Let's see if you are worth my time... Snimon, and Generals Birdramon and Kabuterimon, go!"

He pressed three buttons and watched from his screen as he saw the three flying Digimon coming out from a forest. Their red eyes not focusing on anything other than the others the rings were giving them. They flew off, to the direction where the intruders had arrived.

The Emperor leaned back with a sigh. "I'd kill for popcorn right now; to enjoy the show," He chuckled.

"My Emperor."

He turned around to see his cloacked servant arriving to his throne. He stopped a few feet behind him and kneeled.

The Emperor was curious. He raised an eyebrow at his servant. The only servant that didn't needed a Dark Ring to know his place. "What is it, Blademon?"

"Please, your highness," The hooded Digimon asked. "Let me go there and fight against the boy with white hair, with Killua Zoldyck!" Blademon requested with a low growl as he said the name.

Ignoring the tone his servant said that name, the Emperor turned and looked at the boy with white hair. "Killua Zoldyck, huh..." He mused, remembering the events from yesterday. "The boy with the same power as me..." He said with a smirk, holding out his gloved hand and letting his aura flow around him.

"My Emperor?" Blademon asked, as he saw the boy lost in thought.

"I'll have to deny your request for now, Blademon," The boy decided. "I want to observe what this kid is capable of doing for the moment. Let's see if he can take on my Generals. And if he can, then you will have a go at him."

Blademon was silent for a moment, before nodding. "Undestood."

He got up and walked out of the room, leaving the Emperor alone to enjoy his show.

He gritted his teeth and reigned his rage in. 'You'll learn your place sooner or later, brat!' He seethed. 'Both you and Zoldyck!' He growled.

"V-mon! Come on out! V-mon!" Davis yelled out in a plain field. "V-mon!"

"... Has he gone mad or...?" Yolei leaned to Iori to whisper.

Iori shrugged. "Well we are in another world so maybe he is looking for someone..." He reasoned.

Just at that moment the two of them heard a beeping sound from their pockets and they fetched them out. "Huh... What's this?" Yolei mused as she watched the two devices. In their screens appeared two dots, in opposite directions.

"V-mon!" Davis continued to call.

"Davith!"

As he heard that cry, Davis stopped screaming and let out a joyful laugh. He watched as his blue partner ran towards him while waving. "Davith! Patamon, Gatomon, you were right! They came back!" He cheered as he turned to the two Digimon following him.

The two, recently made, partners met. Davis knelt in front of the Digimon and they shook hands. "It's good to see you, pal!"

"You too Davith!" V-mon laughed.

Gatomon and Patamon ran past two shocked Yolei and Iori, who just stared at V-mon. "W-w-what is that?" Iori asked.

"It's... It's... So cool!" Yolei squealed. She pushed Davis aside and stood in front of V-mon. "You are so cool! You're the famous V-mon?! Are you truly a dinosaur?!" She grabbed the Digimon and started spinning around with him in arms. "This is awesome!"

"Daaaaviiiiiith, heeeeelp!" The blue Digimon begged.

"Hey, okay, hands off my buddy!" Davis said, taking the dizzy Digimon away from the girl. He looked at him with worry. "You okay, pal?"

"Three Davith~ Weeeee..." He muttered.

From afar Killua chuckled. "Well, that went better than our first time here," Killua commented, as T.K and Kari also had their reunion.

Sora and Izzy walked to the two Digimon from the previous generation. "Hey guys," Sora greeted in a solemn tone.

"It's good to see you," Izzy smiled, though he was getting impatient to ask the question in his mind.

"Hey Sora, hey Izzy!" Patamon waved.

"Good to see you," Gatomon nodded at them.

"Same here," Sora said. Then she looked down, fidgeting in place. "Say... Is it true... What happened to Piyomon and the others?" She didn't doubted her human's friends words, but she needed confirmation.

Gatomon's ears dropped, but before she could answer her fur tensed and she looked around wildly. "Grr..."

"Gatomon?" Kari looked at her partner with a confused look.

Killua's sense also spiked up and he looked around. "Something is getting closer."

As he heard his warning, they looked up to see a shadow looming over them. A buzzing sound accompanying it. It dived down at them, revealing itself to be Snimon. Growling and getting his scythes ready to rip them in half. His eyes settling on Sora and diving to attack her.

"Get down!" T.K tackled the redhead so they could avoid the attack.

Gatomon narrowed her eyes and jumped high. "Neko Punch!" She tried to attack.

Snimon turned around and his scythe collided with the punch. Creating a small friction that sent sparks flying around. The possessed Digimon used his other scythe and batted the cat away.

Gatomon bounced on the ground, but recovered quickly. Her holy ring shining to give her more strength to continue. "Tch, that thing is annoying."

"If he flies that high we will never reach his Dark Ring," Killua said. Even if he propells with Nen his mobility would be limited in the air.

"Oh yeah?" Davis smirked, thinking it was time to show off with his partner. "Well, V-mon and I will take care of that!" He got his Digivice out and turned to the blue Digimon. "Ready, buddy?"

"Yeah!" He nodded.

The Emperor pressed another button and scoffed. "Please, as if I'd let you." He spoke to another of his screens. "Drimogemon, go. Monjyamon standby." He ordered. "Generals, wait for my orders."

He watched as other two sets of glowing red eyes appeared on his screen.

Before Davis and V-mon could do anything, the ground beneath them started shaking. Spider-web cracks appearing and starting to crumble. "What the HEEEEEEEEEE-" Davis screamed as a hole was made beneath his feet and he fell in. He, barely, managed to grasp to a rock to prevent his fall to the abyss. "What is this?!" He looked down and saw a mole Digimon with a drill for a nose, Drimogemon.

"Davith!" V-mon called as he saw his partner fall in the pit.

Yolei and Iori were both paralyzed as they watched the monsters around them. First a giant monster resembling a bug, and now one that dug a hole that trapped the boy with square goggles. "W-what is-" Yolei muttered.

Tremors interrupted Yolei's whimpering. They turned to see another Digimon controlled by the Dark Rings stepping out of the forest. It was Monjyamon, a creature similar to the legends of the yeti. It had a giant bone on his hand that he started twirling, before launching it to the two kids. "RAAAAAAGH!" It roared as it launched the giant bone.

As they stood paralyzed, they couldn't do nothing to dodge the bone. Luckily, they didn't have to. "Get down!" Killua said, tackling the two before the bone could behead them.

Sadly, the bone was aimed for someone else.

V-mon could only turn in time as the bone struck him and make him fall in the same hole as his partner. "AAAAAAAAAAH!"

Davis saw his partner falling to him with a clear expression of fear. "V-mon!" As he fell pass him, Davis managed to grab his hand. Sadly for the two, the extra weight broke the rock that Davis latched into and the two fell to the abyss. "AAAAAAAAAH!"

Killua ran to the edge, just to see an empty void of darkness down the hole. "DAVIS!" He screamed, fearing for the boy's sake.

Monjyamon retreated back to the forest once his task of taking down tge Digimon was complete, while Snimon stayed and glanced down at the defenseless Digidestined, Rookie and Champion.

"I can take him on!" Gatomon said, her holy ring glistening in the light.

"We both can!" Killua said, getting into a fighting stance. He hasn't charged the Godspeed, but he still has all of his Nen abilities.

The veterans ran to the paralyzed children -- Whom still haven't processed everything that's been happening. Including the close calls and their friend falling into a hole in the ground. Sora picked Yolei up. "C'mon, we have to run!" She said.

"They can take care of this!" Izzy said, grabbing Iori.

As he saw them getting ready to fight, The Emperor chuckled. "Now." He ordered at his two generals.

From the screen, the two controlled Digimon nodded.

Two figures leaped out of the forest and flew in the sky, covering Snimon's back.

"Meteor Wings!"

"Electroshock!"

Many fireballs and an electric blast impacted against the ground, near Gatomon and Killua's feet. They caused an small explosion that sent the group flying, scattering them in the process. The girls fell on one side of the field while the boys in the other.

Izzy looked up with horror as he realized who attacked them. "N-no way..."

Sora looked up and her eyes watered at the disheartening sight. "No... It is true."

Birdramon and Kabuterimon growled at the group below them. Birdramon's eyes shining a blood red and Kabuterimon salivating like a beast. The two of them sporting Dark Rings on his center left hand and neck, respectively.

"Birdramon! Please! It's me!" Sora tried to reason with her friend.

"Kabuterimon! Don't you recognize me?!"

In response they only prepare to attack again. "Meteor Wings!"

"Electroshock!"

This time Snimon also joined them and his scythes started glowing. "Kamakiri!" He screeched as he launched the attack.

The group scattered even further to avoid the attacks. Another smoke screen took place and Killua scowled. 'We have to destroy those rings!' He thought. "Guys! Take Yolei and Iori to safety! I'll deal with them! I'll break their rings! Gatomon, Patamon go with them to keep them safe!"

"By yourself?!" Iori gasped from where he stood with T.K and Izzy.

"Is he insane?!" Yolei screeched.

The others, however, looked at Killua's expression and knew he was serious. Moreso, they knew he was capable of doing what he was saying. They put their trust on who was their leader during their first adventure and nodded.

"Okay, Killua, we'll do it!" Kari said, grabbing hold of Yolei. "Be safe!"

"We'll make sure Kari and the rest are safe!" Gatomon called back, putting faith on the boy.

"Please save Birdramon!" Sora pleaded.

"And Kabuterimon!" Izzy added, wanting nothing more than to have his insectoid friend back with him.

T.K cupped his hand together. "Good luck Killua!"

"Break those stupid things!" Patamon cheered.

Iori and Yolei stared at the veterans as if they were crazy. How was a kid only one year older than them going to stand against three of those monsters?!

They received the answer when Snimon charged at Killua the same way it did with Sora. But Killua jumped up, making the Digimon to miss completly, and giving the boy a clear shot to his back. "Narukami!" He launched a thunderbolt at the Dark Ring that caused it to shatter.

Snimon fell to the ground for a moment. Then it got up and looked around, confused, before flying towards the forest, completly ignoring the Digidestined.

Yolei's and Iori's jaws were hanging as they saw the boy launch lighting from his body at the possessed Digimon. Birdramon and Kabuterimon however weren't that happy and they hovered out of the boy's reach.

"We better go now!" Izzy said and grabbed Iori's hand to run to the forest with T.K. The girls did the same with Yolei.

The two groups ran into two different sections of the forest, opposite to each other, while Killua stood in the plain field, facing his possessed friends.

He craned his neck and let his Ren explode. "Sorry about this guys..."

Birdramon and Kabuterimon only growled and floated above him, to avoid the same mistake as Snimon and get their rings destroyed.

The group of the boys walked through the forest with a somber silence. This day went south, fast. Iori was lagging behind them with a conflicted look on his face behind his two upperclassmen. "Was it... Was it okay to leave Killua to face those Digimon?" He asked.

T.K and Izzy turned and gave the boy looks of sympathy. "I understand it may seem dangerous that a single kid faces two Digimon as big as them," Izzy said. "But Killua isn't like most kids."

"Yeah," T.K nodded. "He's kind of like a superhuman. The first time we went to the Digital World, he took Digimon more dangerous than those two, and this time he only has to break those rings." He said, remembering how Killua faced Ultimates and was the one to slay Piedmon.

"If someone can free our friends while we find a way to get you back, it's Killua!" Patamon nodded.

Iori still seemed unsure, until he heard a beeping noise. "Uh?" He took out his Digivice to see that the signal from before was acting up again. "It's the same as before..." He said, eyeing the mysterious device.

The two veterans heard the noise and took out their own Digivices. "That's weird, ours isn't picking anything..." T.K muttered.

Izzy looked at the young boy accompanying them. An idea striking him. "This might be useful to us," He mumbled. "Iori, is it pointing somewhere?"

"Um..." He looked down at the device and pointed to the his right. "That way..."

"Then let's look what the Digivice is trying to show us," Izzy said. "Normally, it's always a good thing." He explained.

"Sounds like an option," T.K said. "If not we can always continue with the plan and..." He sighed. "Leave everything to Killua." He didn't likes being so useless and leaving all the problems to their leader, but there was not helping it.

Following the direction the Digivice was giving them, the group of boys and the flying Digimon continued their trek through the forest without anything too exciting to mention.

As they got close to the point the Digivice was showing, the beeping sound became louder and louder. Until finally, they reached their destination.

Patamon tilted his head. "It's that a... A temple?"

In front of them was a temple with a design similar to the ancient Maya's. With a loooong stair case leading to the entrance of the structure.

Iori looked down at his device and then at the temple. "Whatever we're looking for... It's inside there." He pointed upwards.

They walked up to the staircase to reach the temple's entrance. A dark corridor awaiting them as they reached the top, but the moment they stepped in, torches lightened up along the way. Patamon shuddered at that. "Creepy..."

"But useful," T.K shrugged.

Continuing down the way, they found a large room in the end. It lead to a giant room with an altar of sorts. An object laying at the top, resting and waiting. Giving the impression that it was waiting for someone.

"It's another Digi-egg!" T.K gasped. "Like the one Davis' found!" He glanced at the emblem on the Digi-egg. "But that's..." He mumbled.

T.K's statement gave Izzy an idea. He looked down at Iori with a smile. "Why don't you try picking it up?" He asked.

The boy was surprised. "M-me?!" He looked at the altar with a bit of apprehension. "But... What if it's something bad?"

"I don't think so," Izzy said. "From what Tai and T.K explained to me, a Digi-egg like that was lifted by Davis with no problem. And he has a Digivice like yours. Worst case scenario? You simply can't lift it."

The boy looked at the redhead and nodded. Deciding that, he already brought them here, better to make it worth. He walked the stairs of the altar and put his hand around the egg. He gave a small pull... And it came out easily. "Whoah, it's so light!" He exclaimed, weighting on his hands.

From where the egg was laying, a bright light of yellow energy appeared, making everyone shield their eyes. Then from said light, a being with a yellow shell came out, rolled like a rock. It uncoiled itself and landed on the altar, slowly opening his eyes. "Hmmm... Feels good to be out!" It exclaimed.

Iori opened his eyes and looked at the creature. "W-wha... Who are you?"

"Name's Armadillomon, nice to meetcha'" Oddly enough, the now-named Armadillomon had some kind of Texan accent. "Who're you?"

"U-Umm... Iori Hida," He said giving a bow.

"Iori, eh?" The Armadillo said. "Are you the one to take out the egg?" He asked.

Iori looked at the Digi-egg in his hand and nodded. "Y-yes..."

"That means we're pals now," He said and lifted one of his front paws. "Whatcha say? Up top?" He requested for a high five.

Iori did so with an uncomfortable look, continuing to process the situation. "So... We are partners now? What do we do?" He asked.

"Whatever you ask," Armadillomon said. "You're da boss."

T.K, Patamon and Izzy exchanged looks. "It's just like what happened with Davis," T.K whispered.

Izzy nodded. "My suspicious was correct... Which means..." He turned to the boy. "Iori! Maybe we can go and help now!" Izzy said.

"R-really?" The boy asked. "How?"

"With the Digi-egg!" Izzy said poiting to it. "You can use it to help us free our friends, and also find Davis!" He explained.

Iori looked down at the the egg, then at the boys, and then at Armadillomon. He wanted to help. He didn't liked the idea of Davis being captured or of Killua fighting on his own. He despised the idea that someone like the Digimon Emperor got away with this, with making his upperclassmen's Digimon fight against them.

He clenched the egg and turned to his new partner. "How do I use it?"

"Only say: Digimental Up. And I'll do da rest," Armadillomon explained.

Iori nodded and raised the object. "Digimental Up!" It immediately started shining and Armadillomon leaped into the air.

"Armadillomon Armor Digivolves to..." His figure was covered in light and his form grew. The Digi-egg broke in pieces and started covering his body. When the process was over, he was as big as Birdramon, barely fitting the room. "Pteramon! The Armed Love!"

Iori stared in awe at the Digimon his partner turned into. Just as his name implied, it resembled a pterodactyl but with a metalic frame. "Amazing..." He breathed.

"So it was Sora's Crest!" T.K exclaimed, knowing that he was right when he recognized the symbol of the egg. "Yet, he lifted it..."

Izzy nodded. "Just as I suspected. Maybe you need a new Digivice to lift those Digi-eggs," He mused.

Pteramon looked down at Iori. "Everyone get under my wings and latch to my legs! Then, partner, you tell where to go!" He said.

Everyone nodded and did as Pteramon said and latched to his legs. He extended his wings and flew upwards, bringing the ceiling down.

Now in the sky, Iori pointed in the direction where Killua was fighting. "Let's help Killua free your friends! Then we go for Davis!" He decided.

Latching to dear life at the leg of the Digimon, Izzy nodded. "Sounds like a plan!"

With an amazing speed, they all flew to the clearing where the battle was taking place.

In parallel to what the boys had lived. The girls ran deep into the forest to get away from the fight. Sora having a frown on her face as she had to abandon Piyomon again, but she trusted Killua would free her.

As they ran, Yolei tripped against some roots. She fell face first into the earth, much to the veteran's worry. "Yolei!" Kari ran to her side and help her up. "Are you okay."

The poor girl had tears in the eyes. "I can't take this anymore! I didn't thought this would happen," She whimpered, ignoring her sore face. "I wanna go home!" She cried. The visit to this world being nothing like she imagined. She didn't thought they would fight against giant monsters without a way to defend themselves or Davis to be taken by that Emperor guy.

Sora looked at the girl in sympathy. And couldn't help but be reminded of Mimi the first time they went to the Digital World. Sora knelt in front of her. "Well, it's about to be over. We're going home." She didn't want to. To leave Piyomon and Killua fighting against each other, but they didn't have other choice.

Before she could say anything, a beeping sound came from Yolei's pants. She groaned and took out her red Digivice. "This thing again?"

Kari leaned forward. "What is it?"

"Earlier this thing started beeping and Cody's too," Sora said.

Sora tilted his head. "Cody?"

"It's Iori's nickname," Kari clarified. "But he doesn't approve it."

"Someday he will..." Yolei muttered, more out of habit than anything.

Gatomon leaned as well to look at the device. "Hmmm... That direction..." She mused. "I think there's a cave there."

"Should we go there?" Sora asked. "It might be important if the Digivice is showing it."

"Do we have to?" Yolei asked, feeling completly down.

"Maybe it can help our friends!" Kari said. "C'mon Yolei, please!"

Seeing the pleading looks from her upperclassman, Sora, and her junior, Kari, as well as the one from the later's partner, she sighed. "Fine..." She looked at the device. "It's that way," She said, pointing ahead.

The group of the girls walked guided by the red Digivice. The bespectacled girl being the guide, begrudgingly, wanting nothing more than to hide under a rock or go back to her home, to her bed, and her covers! To try and ignore all of the events from today.

The device lead them to some cave leading to a subterranean tunnel. "I don't wanna go there..." Yolei muttered.

"We have to..." Kari said, thought she sounded unsure. "Whatever the Digivice is pointing is down there."

"Let's go!" Gatomon nodded, determined.

Holding back a sigh, Yolei guided the group down the tunnel. Going down through a road of stairs. Torches lightened on the walls, lightening the road. Sora smiled at this. "Well that's convenient."

They went down for quite a while. It reminded to the humans to going to the subway.

When they were a good feet down the earth, they finally reach an open room. The ceiling above them was really up, showing how deep down they went. And in the center of the room, on a rock, was something familiar to both Kari and Gatomon. "A Digi-egg!" They gasped.

"And that symbol is... Izzy's!" Sora recognized.

Yolei was confused about everything being said. "What's a Digi-egg?"

"Normally is from where Digimon are born," Gatomon said. "But Digi-eggs like that.. It's the same Davis found and from where he got V-mon."

Sora looked at Yolei as an idea struck him. "Maybe you should lift it!"

"Eh?! Why me?!" She asked. "Wouldn't it be better if Kari or you do so?"

"Last time I tried it didn't came out," Kari said, remembering when she tried lifting Davis' Digi-egg. "And your Digivice brought us here so..."

Yolei looked at the egg and let out a groan. "If you say so..." She said, walking to the object. She looked at it with suspicion before putting his hands around it. She let out a growl and pulled... Coming out and causing her to stagger backwards. "Woahwoah! Oof..." She said as she landed on the ground. "It this it? That was easy."

Gatomon just stared at the rock. "Any moment now..."

And then a bright light came from the rock, surging from it was a feathered creature. It was the size of a child, with features like those of a hawk, standing on two feet and with a bandana with a feather around its head. It landed on the rock and opened his eyes. "Hello there," He greeted, looking at Yolei. "Did you lift the Digi-egg?"

Yolei sat up and nodded at the creature. "Y-yeah."

"We're partners then," He made a light bow. "I am Hawkmon, nice to mee you."

Yolei blinked. "Emmm... Likewise?" She said.

"Did this happened with Davis too?" Sora asked Kari.

"Yes," She nodded. "Although, V-mon was kind of energetic."

"Then with this Hawkmon fellow we can... We can fight back and get Davis back!" Gatomon said.

"E-eh?!" Yolei yelped as he heard the cat's idea. "You want me to fight against the guy leading those monsters?!" She asked with frantic eyes.

Sora sighed and walked forward. "Yolei. I know this might look scary, but we do need your help right now," She put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. "If you don't want to come back afterwards we'll undestand, but just this one... Could you help us?" She asked.

Yolei looked at the group that followed here and then back at Hawkmon. Having a partner like him was what she wanted before she faced reality... And now that she has him then maybe, just maybe, she could have the adventure she came looking for. She sighed. "Okay!" She turned to Hawkmon. "What do I do now?!" She asked trying to get her energy back.

"Just say Digimental Up. I'll do the rest for you," Hawkmon said.

"Got it!" She lifted the egg and exclaimed, "Digimental Up!"

"Hawmon Armor Digivolves to..." Hawkmon flew upwards as the egg surround him. He grew in size and the egg broke in parts that covered his body. It formed an exoskeleton around him as he grew in size until he was as big as Kabuterimon. He had black stripes on its forearms, calves, and pelvis. Its antennae resemble black-tipped white feathers and it has three-toed hands and feet with black claws. It has metal visor on its forehead which bares the Crest of Knowledge on it and spiked spaulders and kneepads. "FlyBeemon! The Soaring Knowledge!"

Everyone gaped at the armored Digimon, specially Yolei who couldn't tear her eyes away from him. "You look... SO COOL!"

"Yolei, focus," Sora chided slightly.

"Oh right!" She said. "FlyBeemon can you take us to a clearing near this place?" She asked the Digimon.

He nodded and knelt. "Of course," He said. "Get on," He lowered his hands to allow them to climb up.

Sora and Yolei were in one, while Kari and Gatomon in the other.

FlyBeemon stood up and flew up to the hole in the ceiling, that reached out of the cave. Yolei was whooping in excitement once they reached the surface and took off to the sky, feeling the wind on her face. "LET'S GOOOOO!" She exclaimed as they flew.

Killua for his part... Didn't have any kind of troubles.

Kabuterimon and Birdramon kept their distance in the air, thinking that Killua won't have any means to reach them.

The boy looked up at them with a frown, thinking of what to do next. How to reach them and how to break those rings.

A plan formed in his mind and he smirked. "Well, better this than to let them be slaves." He said and crouched.

He focused Nen on the plant of his feet and took a deep breath. Then he let it burst, propelling him upwards to the sky. However, once he was in the air, he won't have any control of his movement.

Birdramon seems to realize this as she charged towards the boy. Her mouth open to devour him, like a mad beast. Killua hovered in the air, and saw her coming, inwardly smirking.

Once Birdramon was close enough she trapped him in her mouth, but Killua counted on that. He stood between her jaws, his arms up to prevent the upper part from coming down. "Sorry about this, Birdramon," He apologized as he started generating electricity in his palms. "Lighting Palms!"

A shock ran through the birds body, causing her to screech in pain. In her neck, the Dark Ring attached to her started sparking with a short-circuit as the electricity ran through it, before breaking apart completly.

She started shrinking, and Killua leaped out of her mouth before she regressed, going back to be Piyomon. She seemed to be unconscious, and a bit charred due to the discharge, but was otherwise unharmed.

"Piyomon!" Killua called in concern and they started falling. But he heard a growl and saw Kabuterimon going to them. "Great..." He sighed.

The bug caught Piyomon on his upper-right hand, and Killua on his middle-left one. Killua's eyes widened when he realized he was caught in the same hand that sported the Dark Ring. He smirked. "Perfect."

Even though his arms were pinned by Kabuterimon's large hand, he had enough strength to start pushing them outwards, to force the hand restraining him open. Kabuterimon growled and tried to fight the boy's strength back, but it was useless, Killua freed himself either way.

And once out of his hand. Killua blurred out of Kabuterimon's sight. The only clew he had of where the boy was, was the weight he felt moving along his arm for less than a second, before the possessed Digimon heard the sound of something breaking.

Killua smirked in satisfaction as the Dark Ring broke against his claws. It never stood a change.

Kabuterimon growled and reverted back to Tentomon, freeing Piyomon in the process. The three started falling to the ground, but Killua grabbed the two and focused Nen on his feet again. Constantly liberating small burst to let them fall more slowly, until they reached the floor safely. "Ooof, well that was easier than I thought..." He mumbled.

The two freed Digimon started stirring and waking up, Piyomon with a slight wince in pain due to her body feeling sore and stiff. "W-whua?" Tentomon muttered. "Where are we?"

"In a forest," Killua answered. "Or a plain field near a forest, if you want to be specific," He answered.

The two Digimon blinked as they realized who was with them. "KILLUA?!"

"This is going to be a thing now?" He muttered, before smiling. "Yeah, it's me. It's kind of a long story, but I'm glad to see you! And we already know about the Emperor," He said when they opened the mouths to speak.

"Oh... Well that's a good thing," Tentomon said. "And if you're here... does that mean...?"

"Heeeeeey!" The three of them turned up to see two flying Digimon going to them. This ones free from any Dark Rings, and carrying the other humans of the group.

"Where the heck did they got those?!" Killua asked, genuinely suprised.

As they landed, Sora and Izzy immediately leaped off their rides and ran to their recently freed partners. "Piyomon/Tentomon!"

"Sora/Izzy!" Said partners returned the gesture.

A warm scene played as they embraced. Tears of relief and happiness being shed after the five years separation has been broken. "I'm so glad you're safe!" Sora cried, holding Piyomon close.

"Me too! You gave me a scare, buddy!" Izzy said, hugging Tentomon with a bit more effort.

"Izzy... When did... You get so... Tall and strong?!" Tentomon asked, still overjoyed, but also struggling to breath.

The other kids watched the scene with smiles. But Yolei and Iori looked at Killua in awe. "He really freed them? By himself?!" Yolei asked.

"Who is... He exactly?" Iori asked.

"We'll tell you later," T.K said with a smile, before growing serious. "Now that their free, we have another matter in hand."

Kari nodded, face completly serious. "Yeah, we have to find Davis. And if the Digimon Emperor is with him, then we can finally give him a piece of our mind!" She said, clenching her fists.

"How do we find him?" Yolei asked.

"Your Digivices," Killua said. "If they are anything like the previous ones, they have a radar of sorts to detect other Digivices," He explained. The he looked at the Digimon riding them. "And I'm guessing these are your partners..."

"Yup, I'm Pteramon," The pterodactyl waved his wing.

"And I'm FlyBeemon, nice to meet you," FlyBeemon nodded his head at the boy, who nodded back.

Yolei touched her Digivice's buttons and blinked. "Look! There are six dots here!" She said. "Four of them are white, while the others are red and yellow... Those must be Cody and I!"

"Io-..." Iori stopped mid-phrase to correct his friend. He sighed. "You know what? Never mind."

"You're going to finally accept it?!" Yolei squealed.

"Discuss it later!" Killua snapped at the girl. "Those it say anything else?!"

"U-Umm..." She looked down. "Yeah, there's a blue one and a... Black one?"

"Black?" Patamon asked, tilting his head.

Killua's eyes widened. "Shit! The black one must be-" He started.

"The Digimon Emperor!" Kari finished, worried by her friend's safety. "We have to go!" She said in a hurry.

Everyone nodded. Killua turned to Izzy and Sora. "You coming?"

The two looked at their partners, who nodded back with determined expressions. "Let's do it, Sora!" Piyomon said.

"I want to see the Emperor fall!" Tentomon cheered.

They smiled and nodded at their friend. "We're going!"

The girls climbed FlyBeemon's hands and the boys climbed Pteramon, with Killua joining them, and took off to where the two signals were coming from.

When Davis regained consciousness, he tried to remember what happened, or how did he fell asleep. "Mmm?" He mumbled. "Where am I?" He said and started to look around. His eyes widened as he finally realized the situation he was in: He was strapped on the side of a canyon. "What is this?!"

"Ah, you're finally awake," A voice muttered from above. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting?"

Davis looked up to see a figure standing at the top of the canyon. "Hello there," The figure greeted.

"You are... The Digimon Emperor are you?!" Davis demanded. The guy's appearance just screamed 'BAD GUY' and he was the only other human around, just like his friends' partners had said.

"Yeah, I am," He confirmed with a shrug. "You should feel honored."

"Honored?!" Davis yelled. "The hell should I be honored for?! You're just a kid, like me!" He said, gritting his teeth as he glared at the one responsible for all of the suffering in this world.

The Emperor let our a boisterous laugh. "Me? Like you?! Come now, tell me another joke; you're quite the comedian." He looked down at Davis with a confident smirk. "I am way better than you, or any of those friends of yours... Here, let me prove it." He said and snapped his fingers.

In front of Davis, a section of the wall in front of him turned around and revealed V-mon -- trapped in the same way he was. "Davith!" The blue dino exclaimed ad he saw his partner.

"V-mon! No!" Davis exclaimed back, worried for his partner's safety.

"Sorry, Davith," The dinosaur apologized. "He got us good."

"Damn it!" The boy with square goggles cursed. "If only I could Digivolve!"

The Emperor chuckled. "Oh yeah? Well you can't do it without theses," He revealed to have the Digivice and the strange little computer that hold the Digi-egg. "I'm curious though, how did you get one of theses?" He asked, pointing to the Digivice.

"As if I'll tell you!" Davis barked at him. "Let us go and give them back, you bastard!"

The Emperor couldn't help but continue to smirk at the boy's useless defiance. "You kiss your mommy with that mouth?" He jested. "It doesn't matter how you got them, because they'll be useless once I turn your little partner in one of my slaves," He snapped his fingers again and a Dark Ring appeared out of thin air.

Davis' eyes shrank with horror as he realized what he was going to do, remembering the eyes of the Digimon from the previous day and the one that captured him. "No... Stop it!"

Far from being worried, V-mon smiled defiantly. "Go ahead, put that ring on me, I'll never serve you!" He said.

From the first time in this whole time, The Emperor lost his smirk. "What?"

"Davis is the one who set me free from my sleep," V-mon said. "So I'm going be his partner for life! So I can't just let something like a stupid ring take me away from him!" He declared.

Davis was touched by the little Digimon's words. Even though they met for only one day, the dinosaur was already really loyal to him. "V-mon..."

The Emperor recovered his smirk. "Oh, how cute... Let's see if you keep your word once my ring is around your neck!" He said, his smirk widening even more.

"STOP IT!" Davis was ashamed to admit that he begged the opponet to stop, but he did, since there was nothing he could do.

V-mon never once flinched as the ring got closer. Almost as if he knew he'd be able to resist it's control, or that his loyalty to Davis was so strong that it wouldn't affect him.

But those theories will never be proved, as the ring was destroyed by a few missiles accompanied by the call of "Missile Storm!"

Everyone was shocked about what happened, none more so than the Emperor, who scowled at seeing one of his precious rings being destroyed. "What?!"

"Davis!" Flying at high speed, Pteramon and FlyBeemon appeared, with all the rest of the group on their back and hands respectively. "We're here!" Yolei called.

"You guys!" Davis smiled.

Killua jumped off Pteramon and landed on the same wall were Davis was strapped. "Hey there." He saluted and held out his hand. "Hold still."

"O-okay..." Davis muttered, not too happy that he was saved by the white haired dude. He gasped as he saw his nails turning to claws that ripped the metal restraining his left hand. "How did you-"

"-I'll explain later!" Killua said. "Now, don't move or you might fall," He told him, moving to cut the other restrain.

Davis promptly shut up.

Meanwhile, Pteramon flew in front of V-mon. His passengers on his back. "Stay still."

V-mon gave him a dull stare. "I'll try..." FlyBeemon gave him a sheepish look and broke his restrains. Izzy grabbed him before he could fall.

Patamon looked up and got determined. "T.K! I'll go retrieve Davis' Digivice!" He said.

T.K looked at his partner and nodded. "Okay, be careful," He said.

Patamon nodded and flew up to where the Emperor was, while Pteramon lowered to the bottom of the canyon with the rest of his passengers.

The Emperor clicked his teeth and turned around with a scowl. "It seems he has reinforcements..." He said, ready to leave the area with the consolation prize of the Digivice and the computer.

His way was cut however, as Gatomon stood there to stop him. "You ain't going anywhere."

"Oh, look at me tremble," The Emperor rolled his eyes.

Wormmon jumped between the two, a serious expression on his face. "Leave it to me, K-... Emperor!" He corrected himself.

The Emperor shrugged and took out his black Digivice. "If you want. Go!" The Digivice started shining.

Gatomon gasped. "No way!"

"Wormmon Digivolves to... Stigmon!"

The towering form of Stigmon appeared where the defenseless worm once stood. Gatomon took a step back, feeling intimidated by the Digimon's lack of features, except for his eyes. 'He is the Emperor's partner huh?!' She jumped and charged her fist. "Neko Punch!"

"Stinger Attack!" Stigmon's stinger glowed a purple color and charged at her.

Their attacks met, while the Emperor watched his partner go. "To think I almost let such a pawn go to waste..." He chuckled.

"Boom Bubble!"

Caught off guard, The Emperor couldn't use his amazing power to block the attack that came to the side. He stumbled back and lost the grip on his devices. "No!"

The falling devices were caught by Yolei, in FlyBeemon's hand. "Thank you~" She said mockingly at the Emperor, as FlyBeemon descended to the bottom of the canyon, to which he growled in reply.

Patamon smiled as he saw his attack was successful. "I did it!" He cheered.

The Emperor sneered and got his whip out. "Get out of here!" He snarled and wrapped Patamon with it and launched him to the bottom of the canyon.

"Ugh!" The flying Digimon grunted as he was launched

T.K looked up and saw his partner falling to them. "Patamon!" He extended his hands and caught him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah..." He muttered, more frustrated than anything.

Killua finished freeing Davis and hold a hand around his waist. "Not a word, and hang on tight!" He said and leaped off the wall.

"AAAAAAH!" Davis screamed as they fall to the bottom, where everyone was gathering.

Stigmon and Gatomon clashed attacks again. But the bug usef his other hand to grab the tail of the cat and launched her to the bottom of the canyon. "Get out of here!" He said. He turned to his partner. "What do we do... Emperor?" He asked.

The Emperor just snapped his fingers. "Unimon, Drimogemon, Monjyamon, attack!" He ordered, snapping his fingers.

Monjyamon and Drimogemon appeared from caves in the bottom of the canyon, while Unimon appeared flying from behind the Emperor and flew to where his targets were.

Gatomon landed gracefully on her feet, just as Killua and Davis did the same... Although the boy with goggles seemed shaken by the jump. The whole group was now together again. Killua looked at incoming enemies. "Okay, here they come!" He said.

Davis regained his bearings. "That damn Digimon Emperor! I'll show him!" He growled.

"You're going to need this,", Yolei said, giving him back his devices.

Davis took him and gave her a grateful smile. "Thanks. Now V-mon! Digimental Up!" He raised the Digivice, and the small computer shined along with it.

"V-mon Armor Digivolves to... Flamedramon!"

The three armored flanked the group. Killua sat on the ground, completly relaxed, causing Kari to raise an eyebrow at him. "Won't you fight too?" She asked.

"I want to see what these new guys can do," He answered with a smirk. "And if it gets hairy, I'll jump in!"

Flamedramon looked at his new comrades. "Attack the Dark Rings! That will set them free!" He said.

FlyBeemon lowered himself. "Yolei, get on my back to join the fight, and hold on tight!" He said.

Yolei nodded, more secure of wanting to take action on this, and complied getting on his back. She yelped a bit as they took off to face up against Unimon.

Drimogemon decided to go for an underground attack, drilling on the earth to prepare himself.

Pteramon saw him and launchef a single missile at him before he could escape. "Oh no, you won't!" He said.

The mole looked up and gasped as the missile came to him and impacted against him, breaking the ring around his paw.

Up in the sky, Yolei peeked from FlyBeemon's shoulder as Unimon opened his mouth to attack with a blast of energy. "Here it comes..." She gulped.

FlyBeemon's spike on his shoulders started glowing. "Spike attack!" He said and he launched various small pins to the unicorn.

Some impacted with the ball, making it explode, while the others striked the Digimon and in the process broke his collar.

Yolei smiled. "Oh yeah!" She cheered, the she heard a buzzing sound to her side and saw the Emperor escaping with his partner. "He's getting away!" She said. FlyBeemon took off to stop them, his spikes shining to take them down if necessary.

The Emperor looked back and clicked his teeth. "You are an annoying one, aren't you?!" He yelled at Yolei

"I've been told!" Yolei smirked, wanting to taunt the bad guy now that they had the upperhand.

Stigmon turned around and pointed his stingers at him. "Stinger Missiles!" They were launched at them like missiles, so he won't have to go at them with physical attacks.

FlyBeemon's spikes glowef again and he launched his Spike attack. Both attacks impacted and they created a smoke screen.

Yolei coughed a bit, and when it cleared away, there was no sight of the Emperor. "HOW DID WE LOSE SOMEONE SO BIG?!"

Back at the bottom, Monjyamon created a spear of ice and launched it at the group. Flamedramon merely scoffed. "Ice against fire, the result is obvious," He said and his knuckles lit in flamed. "Fire Rocket!"

Three fire balls were launched at the possessed Digimon, melting the ice before it could impact. The fire balls engulfed Monjyamon, and while he screamed in a bit of pain, once the ring broke the fire died down.

Davis smiled. "Alright!" He cheered as the Digimon was freed.

Killua smirked. 'Seems we won't have to go through the basics again...' He thought.

The Emperor sat on his throne and watched the footages of how most of his soldiers were freed. Far from being angry, the Emperor's amusement grew. "They aren't bad... I'll give them that. They'll be fun to squash..." Then, his eyes fell to one screen. "But him..."

The screen showed footage of Killua breaking the rings on his generals. He saw how he propelled himself using his Nen -- Something he didn't even knew was capable of happen. This Killua guy would be the final challenge... But he needed to see more of him.

"Blademon, I know you're there," He called to his right hand mon. "Come on out."

Appearing from the shadows, the hooded Digimon bowed his head to the Emperor. "Sorry for intruding, my lord."

"Don't worry about it," The boy waved. "Listen... I think your wish to fight Zoldyck might come true..." He said.

Beneath his hood, Blademon's mouth formed into a bloodthirsty grin.

V-mon shook hands with Monjyamon. "Sorry for attacking you, pal. It was the only way," V-mon apologized.

"It's no problem," The Digimon said as he stepped away with Unimon and Drimogemon. "It's better than being slave of the Emperor."

The group saw the three Digimon go into the dusk. Davis clenched his fist in rage. "That Digimon Emperor stepped out of the line! I'll make sure he gets his just desserts!" He said.

Killua rolled his eyes. "Don't get ahead of yourself, idiot," He said. "The Emperor is going to take more than what happened to day to be defeated."

"I don't care how long it takes! I'm gonna do it!" Davis said stubbornly.

Killua and T.K sweatdropped. "There's no talking with him, is it?" T.K asked Kari.

The girl laughed nervously, not wanting to say something bad about her friend. "K-kind of..."

Aside from them, Yolei was talking to her new partner. "You were awesome back there! We almost had the Emperor for a moment!" She said.

Hawkmon scratched his head. "It was nothing. I hope I can count on you," He said.

"You betcha!" She said, giving him a thumbs up.

Armadillomon and Iori were doing the same. "Ya know, Iori? I think this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership," The yellow Digimon said with a smile.

Iori was thoughtful for a moment. "You know what?" He said. "I think I prefer Cody."

Yolei let out a squeal. "FINALLY!" Said squeal make everyone winced in pain.

Shaking the ringing of his ear, the now renamed Cody smiled. "I just thought that, with all of the crazy stuff happening today, accepting that nickname you had for me for a while now couldn't be so bad," He said.

"I'll take this as a double victory!" Yolei said, lifting her hands in a victory pose.

The veterans watched them. "They'll be fine, they started better than us too," Sora said.

"But we can't be slouch too," Izzy said. "We have to help in anyway we can."

"We can't let this younglings do everything on their own," Tentomon said.

Piyomon laughed. "You sound like an old man!"

Killua smiled at them. "I'll be helping out too," He said and held out his fist. "I never needed a partner to begin with," He let out a bit of electricity to emphasize.

"That reminds me... How can you do that?!" Davis demanded to know.

Killua sighed. "Long story short: I come from another world, and before any of you three think that's crazy!" He said, when the three opened their mouths to protest. "Think about where we are standing."

There was silence and realization fell on the three newcomers. Yolei was the first to break out of her stupor. "THAT'S SO COOL!"

Ignoring the growing ringing on his ear, Killua continued. "This is called Nen," He explained letting his energy flow. "An energy used by Hunters, a group of people that can be hired by all kind of jobs, which I formed part of. It's normally a secret, but if we're going to be working together well... Better to tell you now."

While Cody and Yolei watched in awe, Davis was seething. 'He is super strong, and with superpowers?! HOW CAN I COMPETE WITH THAT?!' He couldn't even try and... 'convince' the guy like he did with T.P because that will earn him a certain beatdown."Let's go home for now," Kari said, looking at the sky. "It's getting late."

That was meet with no protest.

Tai sighed as he walked back to the computer room, accommodating the goggles on his head. "I didn't needed to have 'the talk' with mister Fujiyama. Dad already did it..." He groaned, to buy time for his friend he asked the 'where to babies come from' question.

There was a bright light and he ran inside when he heard a crash. "Is everyone okay?!"

"We're okay!" The group said, again on a dogpile.

"... I am not!" Killua grumbled, from the bottom.

Davis enjoyed that small victory until he felt something on his head, aside from his goggles. "Huh?"

"Hi Davith!" A tiny creature similar to V-mon greted.

"Uh?! Who're you!" Davis asked.

"I'm your partner! But in this form call me Demiveemon!" The now named Demiveemon said.

"I'm Upamon!" A yellow furry ball said, standing in front of Cody.

"Umm nice to meet you," Cody said.

"I'm Poromon, Yolei!" The In-training form of Hawkmon said.

Yolei hold him close and snuggled. "So cute!" She squealed.

Kari looked at Gatomon and Patamon a bit accusatory. "Did you guys followed us?"

"Sorry," Gatomon said sheepishly. "We kinda got absorbed by the light..."

Kari gave her a smile. "It's okay. I'm glad to have you close!"

"Same here!" T.K said to Patamon.

Izzy looked around and let out a relieved sigh. "There you are!" He said, grabbing Tentomon in his arms. "I thought you stayed behind!"

"We're not that crazy!" He said, pointing to a Piyomon being snuggled by Sora. "With the Reaper on the loose we could get captured again!"

"So you managed to free them!" Tai said with a smile.

"Yup!" Kari beamed. "Well, Killua did." She clarified.

"Yeah, yeah I did," The muffled voice of the Hunter said. "Now guys, can you do me a favor?"

"Yeah?" Was the universal question.

"GET THE FUCK OFF ME!"
