The plane landed and she was jolted awake. Yawning and stretching her arms until she heard a satisfying pop, she looked out to see the airport with a slight smile. After she received news from her friends of everything that was happening back in her homeland, she took the chance presented in the form of her cousin's wedding to come and assist them.
And besides, she needed a jerk to visit.
She walked amongst the crowd, standing amongst them with her pink hairstyle decorated with silver stars, he shirt had the pattern that just screamed 'Hey! I'm a Tourist!,' since it had the same colors as the USA flag.
She stopped for a moment to watch the planes from the window, nostalgia feeling her body after almost five years of not being home. "I've been away from a long time..." Mimi Tachikawa mused as she stared at the sky. Her gaze turned to a clock that showed that it was still morning. 8:54 am, to be exact. "Better set that right..." She took out her Digivice and saw the screen changing from 6:44 pm to the right timezone. She smiled and started to walk forward. "I wonder how everyone will react... *yaaaaawn...*" She was interrupted by a long yawn. "Damn the jetlag..."
Davis ignored the constant beeps from his alarm clock. It was Sunday and he wanted to sleep damnit! He was a hero constantly saving another world, he deserves this!
Demiveemon for his part didn't seemed to mind been awaken. He looked around at Davis'... wreck of a room for a moment, before turning to the sleeping boy, knowing they had something to do that day. "Davith?"
No response, aside from snores.
"Davith!"
Nothing yet.
"DAVITH!"
Yet more snores.
Demiveemon sighed and opted for his last resort at the moment. He climbed to one of Davis shelves and jumped down on his stomach. "DAVITH!" He bounced once. "DAVITH!" Twice. "DAVITH!" Thrice.
Davis was oblivious to this and just felt himself chocking on air without knowing the reason. He slowly opened his eyes to see a smiling Demiveemon on his stomach. "Good morning, Davith!"
He groggily nodded at his partner. "Good... morning..." He sat up but felt a sharp pain on his stomach. "Ugh... My everything hurts..."
Cody put on his purple shirt as he looked around the room in confusion, not seeing any sign of his partner in the room. "Upamon, where are you?" He mumbled and walked out of the room.
He gasped when he entered the kitchen; his partner was hiding in plain sight, using a basket to cover his head while watching his mother cook something. The yellow ball turned to him. "Cody!" He squealed and jumped to the boy.
Cody grabbed him and gave him a small glare. "Upamon, you know you shouldn't just go around there without my permission, or without me!"
"I know, but I wanted to see what your mom was doing!" The ball exclaimed. "It's really weird!"
"Weird?" He asked, turning to his distracted mother. He caught the scent of his grandfather's favorite dish. "Ooooh... She's making sushi," He said while entering his room again to finish everything up before leaving.
"Sushi?" The ball asked.
"It's my grandpa's favorite food," Cody explained with a smile. "He must have asked her to do some before going to job."
"Can we have some?!" He asked, Upamon loved his partner's mom's dishes, specially the desserts.
Cody nodded. "I don't see why not."
Gatomon watched as Kari finished putting all of her stuffs on her back while humming to herself. She knows that aside from the usual job of destroying the damn towers, her partner and the other kids are planning to go on a field trip on one of the safe zones the Emperor hasn't conquered yet, but all the things Kari was packing seemed a bit out place... Specially so many books. "Kari, those are necessary?"
The girl giggled. "They are actually for Killua, he asked to continue with his studies on writing and reading Japanese characters now that things won't be so chaotic," She said, putting the last book in. "Now the last thing~" She turned to Gatomon with a smile waaaaay to sweet.
The cat's ears dropped. "Do I have to?" She asked.
"So my mom or anyone in the street won't see you," She said and grabbed her by the back of the neck. "Get in!" She said, putting the cat on her backpack.
Gatomon struggled a bit until he managed to be comfortable, as comfortable as one could be inside of a backpack. Kark nodded to herself and hoisted the bag on her arm, stumbling backwards a bit for her partner's weight, before going out of her room.
In the living room, his brother was watching a soccer game -- typical -- and her mom was doing something in the kitchen. "I'm ready to go, you guys," She told them.
"Have a good time with your friends, sweetie," Yuuko told her daughter, distracted with washing the dishes and oblivious to where her daughter was actually going.
Kari looked around the living room. "Where's Killua?" She asked.
Tai subtlety pointed upwards. "Training," He said.
"That boy has some work ethic to go and jog every morning," The mother of the house said, missing her son's gesture.
Kari, however, undestood her brother's message and knew where to find the white haired Anomaly.
While everyone was sleeping, he was up in the roof on the building, upside down, just in the edge of it. He was standing perfectly still with his hands and letting his aura flow through him, taking deep breaths and letting the sweat fall from his brow. He wasn't bothered by it, and his arms weren't even tired.
Since it was Sunday they didn't have to wake up that early, but they all agreed to go to the computer room either way. So he took the extra-time he had in the morning to train, and train he did. Two hours have passed since he stood in this position and he wasn't even tired.
Killua smirked inwardly. 'I can keep my Ten up even when I'm in an uncomfortable position like this, and for a long time too...' He thought. 'Next time, I'll try with Ren since that will drain more energy.' He decided.
Now that he have free time outside of going to school, wait for the kids, and going to the Digital World, Killua realized he had to put his mind back on training a bit on his Nen. The Digital World was perfect for physical training, but he still needed to work on his Conjurer's technique to create his yo-yos' copies.
With that revelation he decided that from now on, he would train in the dawn before the Kamiya siblings woke up and he would start his job on that.
The door to the rooftop opened behind him, and he looked back to see Kari watching him with a nervous expression, no doubt for his position in the edge of the roof. "Hey," He greeted like it was a normal thing.
"Ummm... Don't you think that's a little dangerous?" She asked with a sweatdrop.
Killua smirked. "Nah," He then stood on one arm and then on one single finger: The pinky. "It's easy."
The girl blinked blankly for a moment before pouting. "Now you're just showing off."
Killua seemed to grow a tail and a pair of cat ears as he smirked at the girl. "Maaaaybe~"
Along with Kari, Killua arrived to the school while meeting with Davis on the way. They stood in the front of the gate while waiting for the three neighbors of their group.
"Remind me again why we can't go from one of our houses's computers?" Davis asked, while cleaning his square goggles. "I mean, Killua is the one that showed us we can open the gates everywhere."
"If we were to reunite in on of your houses and we suddenly disappear, the parents would panic and the secret will be out of the bag," Killua explained. "Better to say we're going a field trip. It's not a lie, they just don't know where we're going," He said with a shrug.
"And it's better this way since no one it's at school today," Kari said. "No one will suddenly barge in to see we disappeared."
Davis tilted his head and nodded. "Okay, fair enough."
"Hey! Sorry we're late!" T.K's voice called out. They turned to see the three neighbors arriving, with Yolei's bag being suspiciously stuffed.
Davis got up as he adjusted his goggles on his head. "About time! I almost grew roots out of my butt!"
"... And that's a mental image I didn't wish to have..." Killua groaned as he had the urge to plung his claws through his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, sorry I basically have to be the one to pick the food for our partners," Yolei said poutingly, crossing her arms.
"Come now, guys," Kari said, turning to the school building. "Let's get this field trip started!"
At the girls enthusiasm, everyone raised their hands and cheered, even Killua who had an amused smile. "Aye!"
Sneaking into the building was... Surprising easy. The front door was open and they could enter without a problem. This caused Killua to frown. "Who leaves the front door open?" He asked.
Kari shrugged. "Maybe they didn't thought someone could enter school in sunday."
Killua conceded that point as they snuck around. Though he had to fight down a snicker as he saw how the Digidestined were laying low in crouching positions to not call the attention, while he only needed to use his Zetsu and no one would even turn in his direction, and if they did he already so six different places for him to hide. In the courtyard alone.
As they entered the building, Yolei felt herself getting angry at the situation. "I'm a member of the computation club, yet I have to sneak in the room? That's unfair!" She exclaimed.
Cody gave her a slight glare. "Don't complain. After all it's not allowed to enter the institution in free days, club member or not!"
Killua karate chopped the two in the head with a blank stare. "You're making too much noise, idiots," He said, in a hushed tone.
The others were making quieting signals at them, with Davis even glaring. "Do you want us to get caught?" He asked.
They both gave sheepish looks at this and bowed their throbbing heads in an apology. "Sorry..."
As expected, the lab was empty. When they entered, they freed their Digimon from their bags. With Gatomon and Upamon being the most relieved ones, since their bags were stuffed with different items.
Yolei booted the computer up and the program appeared. "Bingo! It's open! Now Digidestined we can get go-"
"Wait!" Killua suddenly called, his body tense. Everyone turned to him and he looked around. "Someone's in the building..."
Everyone panicked, and looked around for another way of leaving. Their only options being the door down the room or the windown, and only Killua was acrobatic enough to land on the ground without a scratch from a second floor.
The door started opening and Killua sighed, he would knock whoever was entering and take him outside. It was a mean thing to do, but it would keep them away from problems.
But when the door opened, the veterans froze, while the other children and Digimon panicked. A girl with bright pink hair blinked at them, her face brightening in recognition. "Kari...? T.K...? And..." Her gaze trailed off to the white haired boy.
Killua blinked. Because of his outdated information on the human world, he didn't knew of the change of appearence so he didn't recognize her at first glance, but her face was familiar to him.
Then the girl broke into a grin and squealed in joy.
Killua's eyes widened in recognition. 'That unholy screech of hell! I recognize that unholy screech it's-!'
"You!" The girl tackled him in a hug and started squeezing him. "It is you! It is you!" She repeated and started petting his hair. "Your hair is as fluffy as I remembered!"
"Mimi! Cut it out!" Killua called, as he struggled against the girl's hug.
Mimi didn't let go, but somehow she managed to drag Kari and T.K into the death-trap/hug. "And you two have grown so much! I can't believe it!"
"Hi Mimi..." They both greeted with awkward smiles.
The new Digidestined were confused by this and blinked at the newcomer. "Ummm friend of yours?" Cody asked.
Mimi let go of the two Digidestined, but kept the Anomaly in a one armed hug while petting his head. "So you guys are the new Digidestined?" She asked, as Killua struggled.
Seriously, he could bend-bench an Ultimate Level, how was this girl so strong?!
"Guys, this is Mimi Tachikawa, one of the first Digidestined," Kari presented.
"And apparently someone that developed a vice-grip!" Killua said, trying to ignore the nice feeling he felt as Mimi pet his head.
"Oh, right!" Yolei blinked. "Sora talked about you in an occasion."
"I hope it was only compliments," Mimi said, smiling and wanting to meet with her red-haired friend.
"Bingo!" Yolei said.
Mimi blinked. "Eh... What?"
"Mimi, for the love of God, let go!" Killua said, screaming and kicking under her grip. Seriously considering using a Lighting Palm on her.
Mimi pouted and let go. "Five years of not seeing each other and you can't accept a hug, jerk?"
"That wasn't a hug, woman! That was a straggling attempt!" He snapped back.
"Semantics!" She said, though she looked at the sight with small grimace.
Killua sighed, but in the end he managed a smile. "It is good to see you, Mimi."
She smiled back. "Same here!"
"So what brings you here?" T.K asked.
"Well, don't get mad at him, but Izzy kind of told me of your plans on coming and I decided to tag along!" She said. "I wanted to meet the new kids, with the Digimon, and you guys! So I snuck through the back door and the rest is history."
"So basically what we did," Davis said with a smile. "But we did it with the front door." He bragged
Killua gave him a blank stare. "Would you really brag about that?" It wasn't anything that big or important.
Davis looked at him and then grimaced. "Okay, it sounded cooler in my head..."
"Whatever," Killua rolled his eyes. "There should be enough food for you to join, so I don't see a problem with it."
"I second that!" Yolei said, raising her index finger and smiling.
Davis put on a face. "Hey, why do you decide for us?"
"Do you have a problem with that?" Killua asked.
Davis faltered, he just wanted to defy Killua's authority a bit. Still a bit sore about the whole leader thing, but didn't saw any problem with his proposition. "Err... No, I don't."
The rest of the Digidestined voiced their approval and Yolei grinned again. "Bingo! Bingo! Bingo! Then let's go!"
Mimi leaned on Killua. "She's enthusiastic, isn't she?"
"In the short time I've known her, I learned that that's a constant thing," He chuckled.
There was a flash, and off they went.
"Perfect, this is a great place to start the field trip!" Davis said. "Spacious, great weather and no Control Tower!"
Mimi was overjoyed, she watched the forest as if it was the first time. "I thought I would never had the chance to come back here..." She said, trailing off as she watched the scenery. Her eyes fell on a big flower on the floor and her gaze saddened as she thought back about her partner. 'Palmon...' She sighed and turned to the three veterans. "Hey... Have you heard anything about Palmon?"
The three winced and looked at each other until Kari shook her head. "Sorry, Mimi, but we haven't see Palmon since coming here..."
"The Emperor hasn't sent her to fight us yet, but when he does we'll make sure to set her free," T.K said.
Mimi nodded and sighed. "Okay, then... Please do," She smiled. "Now let's start with the picnic and leave bad thoughts behind!" She declared.
No one disagreed with that notion and they all started to walk to find a good spot to set their stuff and start digging in. In the meantime, Mimi was updated in everything happening in the Digital World.
"So those Control Towers are the reason the Emperor controls so much of this area..." She could already picture him on his mind. Some snotty brat with a 'menacing' disguise, laughing as he towered over the zones he conquered.
"Not to mention his two 'bodyguards'," Killua said, while making quotes in the air. "One is his partner from what we could gather, and the other is a guy that has a bone to pick with me."
"Well, you did piss quite a few Digimon off the first time around," Mimi mused. Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon. Many of them big name Digimon that wanted would be petty enough to want revenge after being reborn.
"But we'll be safe around here!" Davis reassured. "With no tower, no problem."
Mimi giggled. "Field trip on the Digital World, that couldn't be done back then..."
"To be fair," T.K said. "Back then it was just one thing after the other."
"First Devimon, then Etemon, then the separation, then to the humans World," Killua listed. "Dear lord we didn't catched a breath!"
Yolei turned to them, slightly miffed. "Are you guys going to tell us about those first adventures any time soon?"
"Don't worry, soon enough we'll do so, when we can have a time of peace without dealing with the Emperor," Kari reassured the girl.
T.K turned ro Davis, who was leading the group with an overly excited smile. "Hey, Davis can we stop around here. I'm starting to get hungry."
"Be a man, T.P-"
"T.K."
"-I want to find us a good place for us to settle!" He said, ignoring the interruption and correction of the name.
Kari scratched the back of her head. "I was actually starting to get hungry too..." She said, sheepishly.
Killua snorted and started counting. 'Three... Two... One.'
"Welp! If that's the case we can settle here!" Davis said, doing a completly one-eighty and smiling goofily at the girl.
'Whipped,' Killua thought at seeing the boy changing his attitude at Kari's declaration.
Said girl was also a bit taken back by the boy's sudden change and scratched her cheek with a sweatdrop. But she wasn't going to comply right now, since this gabe them the chance to eat.
Although, T.K did seemed confused and a bit ticked off. "What's that about?"
Everyone set the mantle in the floor and started taking out the things to eat. With Kari also giving Killua his books so he can continue studying the Japanese language.
Yolei for her part started digging out the food she gathered from her family's store. She turned and offered an onigiri to Mimi. "Here, want some?" She asked.
The girl blinked and tears came to her eyes. "I... I haven't had one of those in years," She immediately tackled the girl in a hug. "THANK YOU!"
Killua winced and put a finger on his ear. "Well, you're ability to give me tinnitus hasn't disappear on these years."
Mimi gave him a glare. "And your attitude hasn't improved either," She said. "Or what? You wouldn't react the same to yout favorite food?"
The boy flinched and slumped down, thinking of a treasure lost back in his home. 'Oh those Chocobots, they'll found no way to my stomach while I'm here! Decided... I'll definitely ground Alluka and Nanika when I'm back! Reunion with friends or not!' He said, oozing a bit of malice.
Everyone flinched at his aura. "Mimi, I think you struck a nerve!" Kari said, inching away from the leader.
"A-anyway, let's just eat!" T.K said, wanting to snap Killua out of whatever caused his mood.
Luckily Killua didn't objected and nodded and everyone started eating, the malice the boy was oozing dissolving in a moment.
It was a nice time to spend. Everyone shared the food between each other. An enjoyable time, letting them enjoy a peaceful time in the Digital World without having to deal with the Emperor.
Hawkmon tugged at Yolei's sleeve. "Yolei?"
"Yes?" She looked at him, and saw him pointing at Cody and Armadillomon. "What is it?"
"I want to try what they're eating, please," He asked, respectfully.
Yolei looked at the younger boy and saw him sharing a sushi roll with his partner. "Do you want some?"
Hawkmon nodded, looking at the roll eagerly.
Armadillomon looked at him and nodded, grabbing one of the roll in Cody's bento. "Here have one, pal!"
"Hey," Cody protested, even more when he saw that his partner actually committed the travesty of throwing it at the flying Digimon.
The roll went over his head and started rolling around the field. The bird Digimon got up and started pursuing it. "Ah, sushi come back!"
"No, you come back! Hawkmon!" Yolei said, getting up to chase her partner.
Cody hit his partner over the head. "Don't throw food around! Specially something made by mom!"
"Sorry..."
Mimi looked worriedly at the direction where the two took off. "Someone should go and check on them," She said.
Killua didn't torn his eyes off his book as he answered. "Yeah, I guess you're right..." He was met with silence and he looked up to see everyone looking at him expectantly. "W-what?"
"Well, mister leader, I think you should go check on them," Davis said, deciding to use Killua's position against him to lure him away from Kari's side.
"I think so too," T.K said. "In case the Emperor suddenly strikes, so she isn't alone."
Killua got a deadpan look. "Just for pursuing a sushi roll? How long can they take?!"
"I dunno, those things are slippery," Armadillomon said.
"C'mon! I'll go too!" Mimi said, getting to her feet.
Killua seeing as they won't drop the subject, fondled the corner of his current page and sighed. "Fine!" He exhaled and got up to follow the pink haired girl. "If someone touches my food, they die!" He looked at Davis, and the two new Digimon specifically.
They nodded stiffly, knowing what Killua was able to do.
The two of them walked further into the forest and noticed something was wrong right off the bat; Yolei and Hawkmon couldn't have gotten that far away and yet they didn't seemed to any trace of them.
Killua frowned. 'It's like the earth swallow them...' He thought. "Oi! Yolei, Hawkmon!"
"Where are you?!" Mimi called out for the two, frowning in worry for the younger girl.
She was so distracted that she missed a step and the ground seemed to open, she yelped and screamed as she was suddenly free falling somewhere deep below the forest.
Killua turned as he heard her scream and saw the hole in the floor. "Mimi! He ran and leaped into the hole after her, just as it closed.
The two of them plummeted to the darkness below, not know where this passage would take them.
"Owww..." Killua moaned as he sat up, rubbing his sore head. "What hit me?"
"Oh, you're okay!"
"Thank goodness!"
He turned and saw both Yolei and Hawkmon smiling, as they were also tending someone else.
"Is she...?" Killua asked, recognizing Mimi's sleeping figure. "Is she okay?"
"Yeah, just unconscious," Yolei nodded, looking at the sleeping girl.
Right on cue, Mimi began to stir and open her eyes. "What?"
"Easy there, Mimi," Hawkmon advised as the girl started to recover.
"Oh, you guys," She said ad she sat up. "Where are we?" She asked.
"Somewhere... Bad..." Yolei said, cautiously.
"And below the forest apparently... And at night," Killua said, remembering the trap door that lead them there, and the sky had changed from a nice weather to being night. He turned to Yolei. "But... Why bad?" He asked the girl.
"Because of that," Hawkmon said, pointing at another part of this area.
Killua and Mimi followed his wing and Killua's eyes narrowed in anger and annoyance; a Control Tower was right there with them. "The Emperor marked this place..."
"Umm, guys?" Mimi tugged at them and pointed to the bushes behind them.
They turned and gasp. A bunch of red eyes were glaring at them from behind the bushes, much of them at the level of the foliage, while an specific set was towering over them.
The smaller ones stepped out of the bushes and revealed themselves. Mimi smiled. "Otamamon, Geckomon!" She gasped happily.
"You know them?" Yolei asked.
"Yup! They're really good friends!" She said, smiling.
"No, at the moment they're not," Killua said, pointing to their legs.
All of them possessed by the Dark Rings.
Mimi gasped and frowned at seeing their friends possessed by that evil object. Then, she was thrown a bit out of balance when a rumbling sound was accompanied by a stomp.
The last figure stepped out of the shadows and revealed itself and Mimi cried out their name, recognizing who their last enemy was. "TOGEMON!"
The cactus Digimon had a Dark Ring around her bicep and glared down at the four intruders of the area she was guarding. She flexed her muscles and expanded her arms out. "Needle Spray!"
Acting fast, Killua grab the girls' hands and drag them out of the way and they started to escaped the horde of their former friends as Togemon launched her signature attack.
"Killua, wait! Togemon is-" Mimi tried to convince the Hunter to stop.
"I'm sorry Mimi, but we can't reason with her at the moment!" He said. "And with so many Digimon surrounding her it will be difficult to destroy the ring!"
"Our best shot, is to destroy the tower!" Yolei said, between pants. "That will nullify all of the rings!"
Mimi bit her lower rings as she kept the pace with the three of them. She didn't like that they would have to go against their partner, she didn't liked violence in the first place! But understood that at the moment this was the best course of action.
Killua took a look back and saw their enemies gaining up on them, with Togemon leading the charge. He looked around wildly and saw an opening in the forest where they could hide. "Here!" He said, guiding the two girls and the Digimon.
They entered the foliage of the jungle and the mob pursuing them pass them by, none the wiser of their hideout.
"That was close..." Yolei sighed, as she watched them go.
Killua glared in the direction of the tower. "Now with them knowing we're around, the security around the tower is going to increase..." He mused. "Yolei, can't you use your Digivice to send a message or something to T.K and the others? They might be able to track us down."
"Good idea," She said, fishing out her red device.
In the upper part of the forest, after their friends didn't came back. The Digidestined packed their things and started to look around. "Oi, Yolei!" Davis called.
"Killua!" Kari yelled, looking for the Hunter.
"Mimi!" T.K called, while Cody yelled, "Yolei!"
Davis sighed. This day ended up in a mess with their disappearance. It didn't make sense! They were in an Emperor-free zone, what could have happen to the veteran and their teammates?
He felt something buzzing in his pocket and dug out his blue Digivice. "Guys! I'm getting something!" He called.
Everyone gathered around Davis and looked at the screen. A red dot was somewhere in the field; Yolei's signal. But it was weak. "That's weird, it never did that before..." Patamon mused.
"Maybe the Emperor is messing with the signal," Gatomon said. "But... How? This zone doesn't have a Control Tower... Right?"
No one knew the answer. If they're friends were missing, and the signal was so jammed, the only explanation was the Emperor being behind it.
The tyrant watched with amusement as the group has been divided. Two girls plus Zoldyck were lost in the secret part of the forest, where he placed his Control Tower, completly lost about how they got there.
While General Togemon would normally be enough, he decided to mess with them a bit. He pressed a button on his gauntlet and spoke in it. "General, they're close to your zone. Let the Geckomon protect the tower, you go for them."
He waited for the answer. "Rodger, my lord." The possessed Digimon said.
He smiled and leaned back into his seat. "Say... Wormmon? Aside from the troop of amphibians and the General, what Digimon are in the area to start the hunt?"
Wormmon thought for a moment before answering. "The Roachmon sisters."
The Emperor snickered, holding a full on laugh. "Perfect.
Down below the base. In the place where the Generals and other Digimon were held, Blademon watched a screen showing Zoldyck's current situation. He bared his fangs and crossed his arms. 'Patience... I have to be patient. This faker is going to continue on letting them do as they please for a few days tops before setting things with Zoldyck. And once that's out of the way, I will have my shot at him.' He repeated on his mind.
His time would come. He just had to wait a bit. He's been doing so for the past five years.
Yolei growled as she saw that Davis' signal was too weak. "I can't get a hold on them, it's flickering in and out."
"I blame that," Killua said, pointing at the tower.
Mimi and Yolei sighed in resignation, while a pair of shadows crept towards the group. Their movements causing the grass beneath them rustle. "Why the sad faces, children?"
"You have a play-date with us!"
They turned as the shadows revealed themselves. The girls immediately latched to each other, while Killua blinked and stuck his tongue out. A pair of giant walking cockroaches appeared in the same clearing they were in leered at them, saliva dripping from their mouths.
"EEEEK! COCKROACHES!" The girls shrieked while Hawkmon and Killua prepared for battle.
"Just when I thought I saw everything the Digital World had to offer, this shit happens!" Killua growled, a bit grossed out by the insects. His claws sharpening.
One of them, Roachmon number one, turned at the number two with a sad look. "Awww, sis they don't look happy to see us."
"I know, sissy," Number two said, turning to number one. "I say, we kill them!"
"Great idea!" Number one clapped her hands.
"S-sisters?" Yolei asked. As far as she had understood, Digimon didn't have a families per say.
"Yeah, what of it?!" They asked at the same time and girl flinched.
"N-nothing!" Then again, for every rule there was an exception.
Killua just looked annoyed at the two insects babbling. He was ready to charge, before a scream, or rather a yell, proclaimed an attack. "Coconut Punch!" He looked up to see Togemon, falling from the sky while raining punches to him.
Killua leaped out of her way and Togemon crash-landed on the ground. She turned to the boy and spun one of her arms. "Mach Jab!" She close the distance between the two to throw a jab at him.
Killua planted his feet and held his hands out to catch the attack, not even budging. Togemon struggled to push him back, but Killua gave an almost bored stare. "Sorry, Togemon." Without effort he lifted the cactus over his head and started to spin her around, before throwing her to the sisters.
"WAH!" They cried as the giant Digimon crashed on them. They popped from beneath the cactus' back. "Hey, watch it!" They said.
Killua turned to the girls. "Let's take this chance! To the tower, now!" He said.
The girls didn't have to be told twice, they ran away from the possessed Digimon and to the black obelisk in the horizon.
Togemon got up from the two insects and glared at the retreating group. "Get them!"
Number one flew up. "Don't worry! We'll get them!" She started.
"With the Magic Garbage!" Number two finished and their antennas started to vibe.
The four members of tje Digidestined all ran across the forest, Killua on the rear to cover his friends. He sensed something coming to them. He looked around the whole area and saw multiple objects flying to them. "GUYS-"
He was cut short as all of the objects collided with them and buried them beneath a big pile. It was just a big pile of junk and garbage, and they didn't took a lot of time to dug themselves out. "WHAT THE HELL?!" Killua asked, as he popped himself out.
"What is this?! Only garbage?!" Mimi asked, seeing her clothes and hair ruined. "Why do I always face the gross ones?!"
Yolei came next. "At least it's only garbage..."
A whistling sound came from above them and in unison, they looked up to see what it was.
CRASH!They blinked at what just landed in front of them. "It's that...?" Killua started.
"Yes..." Yolei continued.
"It's a piano..." Mimi finished.
And they just realized just how dangerous this abñility was.
"FLY, YOU FOOLS!" Hawkmon shrieked as he flapped his way out of the garbage.
The group did so, just in time as their chasers started getting close. "Look at that, sissy! We almost got them!" Number one said.
"Let's continue then, dear sister!" Number two nodded as her antenna continued to vibrate.
Togemon didn't say anything, she just charged through the pile of junk like an unstoppable juggernaut to catch the intruders on her area.
As they ran faster to get away from their chasers, many heavy objects fell behind them. Fridges, couches, pianos, cars, dumbbells, and even anvils!
"WHERE DO THEY CAME FROM?!" Killua asked, not risking being hit by any of those. Even with his aura up.
The cockroaches flew high above snickering at their predicament. "Aw, just look at them sister, they can only run! This is so much fun!"
Number two nodded at number one and smiled. "I'm glad you're having a nice time!" She said while embracing her.
Yolei catched the interaction from the corner of her eye and couldn't help but find it endearing. "Even with the rings they love each other..." She mused and looked at the other two humans with her. 'If we were siblings, could we overpower this with the power of love like in many Shoujo I've seen?' She mused.
Oh, she could picture it. She and Mimi on a dress, while Killua in a tuxedo, while holding hands and spinning like happy siblings, unlike her actual stuck up sibling, and surpassing any limitation in their way.
'Yeah, that sounds great...' She said, while daydreaming.
"YOLEI!" Hawkmon and Killua screeched.
"W-what?" She recoiled.
"Oh, I don't know," Killua said, sarcasm dripping like a stream of water from his mouth. "Maybe that FLYBEEMON COULD TAKE ON THOSE TWO!"
She flinched and then scowled. 'Okay, no way he'll be able to use the power of love!' She said.
"Don't yell at her, we are all under pressure!" Mimi said, frowning at the boy. "Although, the help will be appreciated, Yolei..." She said.
"Oh, right!" She fished her Digivice. "Hawkmon! Digimental Up!"
"Hawmon Armor Digivolves to! FlyBeemon the Soaring Knowledge!"
Scooping Yolei on one of his hands. FlyBeemon flew upwards to face the two sisters in the sky. Mimi watched as the two went to fight against the cockroaches. "Wow, she actually joins in the frontlines!" She said, her respect for the bespectacled girl growing.
FlyBeemon charged at the two and the spikes on his shoulders were shot. "Spike Attack!"
The cockroaches stopped as the attack impacted and created an explosion, their surprise preventing them from dodging.
As the smoke cleared, number one turned to number two. "Are you okay, sissy?"
"I'm okay! Let's show them, how it's done!" She said.
They charged with a kick at the bigger Digimon, in tandem. FlyBeemon just moved out of the way and they zoomed past them. Growling, they turned and charged at the two again, this time with a karate stance. FlyBeemon was faster and they ended up crashing on the ground.
"That explosion..." Mimi turned to the tower and an idea came to her. "Maybe we can use those attack to damage the tower."
"Not only theirs," Killua said. "Look," He pointed to the road filled with garbage and heavy items behind them.
Togemon was barreling through them to try and get to them and put them down.
"With her strength as well as the Roachmon's," Killua said, while turning around to head to the tower. "We can topple the tower without even trying. Worst comes to worst, I just take it down on one hit."
Mimi nodded, looking at her incoming partner. "Okay," She looked up. "Yolei! Make the Roachmon sisters attack the tower!"
"Bingo!" The girl with glasses nodded and started flying to the tower. The other two humans started running to its location too.
The Roachmon weren't the brightest Digimon to begin with. And they were angry at the girl and the armored insect after the attack. They wanted vengeance, and so they charged recklessly at them.
Yolei looked back and smirked. "Okay, FlyBeemon, when I say now, you change directions to avoid the tower."
"Okay!" FlyBeemon answered.
They were closing on the tower, a few meters away. The girl nodded, this was good enough. "Now!"
Her partner spin his body around to change his momentum and pasd by the tower. The sisters' eyes widened and they couldn't stop in time, crashing against the tower and ending up stuck deep in it, head first, their legs sticking out of the structure.
When Mimi and Killua arrived at the clearing, they had to stop themselves from attacking; the Otamamon and Geckomon were surrounding the tower with serious looks on their faces.
Killua looked back and saw Togemon getting closer. "Well, time for a more frontal assault," He told the girl. "Stay hidden, for now."
"Okay," She said and went to some bushes to stay out of sight from the possessed Digimon.
Killua stepped into the clearing, the amphibian Digimon's sight immediately falling on him. The boy merely smirked and charged at them.
They couldn't stop him, by any means. The moment he charged, he passed moved around them without a problem and knocked them all out before destroying the rings. Not posing a challenge for him.
"Sorry," He mumbled the apology, not sounding all that sorry.
The cactus General (Only in the Digital World something like that makes sense) entered the clearing and saw the smirking boy in front of the tower, her subordinates unconscious around him.
"Grrr... Mach Jab!" She dashed at him, rearing her right fist back to throw a powerful punch at the smirking Hunter.
Just as she thought she made contact, the figure of the boy vanished and her fist impacted with the tower instead. "Ah! No!" She gasped.
Cracks appeared all around the tower and this started to crumble on itself. The two Roachmon sisters falling to the ground, while trapped in the debris and leftovers of the tower.
Togemon stumbled back, the ring around her arm falling down. She blinked and looked around. "Where... What?"
"Have you woken up?" Killua asked, coming from behind the crumbled tower.
Togemon blinked. "Killua?"
"Yo."
"You're here... Does that mean?" Togemon asked, hope seeping through her voice.
"Togemon?"
The big Digimon turned and saw a girl with pink hair step out of the bushes. She recognized her, even with a different hair. "Mimi!"
The big cactus scooped her partner into a careful hug, to not damage her with her needles. Mimi pressed herself on her body, not caring about the needles. Everything was right in the world as the couple of Purity was reunited.
The Emperor was silent as he watched the events unfold. "Welp... That was a bust," He said, before sitting up. "I'm gonna train."
He wasn't that mad about the lost of that zone. His General? Yeah, he was angry, but the zone didn't have anything useful for him. And besides, he has more powerful Digimon to use.
In the holding cells, Blademon was trying to contain his laughter. He might hate Zoldyck, but the way he used the Emperor's slaves to destroy the towers was priceless. 'I shouldn't be laughing! Those towers are important for the master! But goddammit that was hilarious!'
Without the tower jamming the signal, the Digidestined on the surface watched as the signal became clearer. "Finally! I got something," Davis said.
"Where are they then?" Kari asked.
Davis scrunched his face and looked at the screen, then he looked at his feet. "Below us..."
They all looked down and shrugged, well if the Digivice said so.
The two cockroaches lose the dark ring and started sitting up. "What happened?" Number one asked.
"I dunno," Number two answered.
"Welp, they came back to their senses," Yolei said to her companions.
Mimi and Killua nodded, a bit crowded as the amphibian Digimon woke up after the destruction of the tower, and now had their princess and master surrounded as they continue to thank them. "I will never get used to this heroism thing," Killua mumbled.
"It is nice!" Mimi said, petting an Otamamon.
"Hey! Now I'm remember why I'm here!" Number one said, slapping number two on the head. "You took my chocolate!"
"Aw! Well you ate my lollipop!" Number two answered with a punch to the gut.
"You took my chew gum!"
"And you took my rice cracker!"
And so the two apparently loveable sisters, turned into a cloud of dust as they started fighting for petty reasons. Like true siblings.
"Now that makes more sense," Killua drawled, while Mimi and Yolei sweatdropped at the mood change.
"Hey!" Davis voice called as he entered the same area. "What happened to you guys?!"
Yolei smiled brightly. "It's a long story, so get comfortable to hear it on the way home!" She said.
Mimi turned to Togemon. "Are... are you coming?"
Togemon shook her head. "Sorry, Mimi I would love to, but I have to protect this zone. I won't let the Emperor take it again."
Mimi nodded sadly. "I understand."
With a round of waves and farewells, the group made their way to the nearest port.
Untangling themselves from the pile, the group got ready to leave.
"Well, the field trip might have been interrupted, but we brought a tower down and that's always a win!" Davis said.
"We, Killua, Mimi and I, did," Yolei remarked.
"Every win is a team win!"
"Uh-huh, sure."
"After being attacked by those bugs, I want a bath," Killua said.
Mimi got a pensive look on her face and she turned to Killua. "I've been wondering."
"About what?"
"Killua, if what Izzy told me it's true and you came back by accident..." She looked up and down at him. "How are you doing with your clothes?"
Killua blinked. "Why the sudden question?"
"Curiosity."
Killua scratched his head. "W-well, I've been keeping it clean," He turned to Kari for reinforcements. "Right, Kari?"
The girl shrugged. "Well, it's not like I've actually seen you do it."
Mimi nodded to herself. "That can't continue this way..." She grabbed the boy by the back on his neck. "Come with me, I have a good amount of money from dad so I could buy me anything... And you and I my friend are going... On a shopping spree!"
"WHAT?! HELL NO!" Killua screamed before he was being dragged by Mimi. "Wait! No! Mimi, stop!" He grabbed the door frame to prevent himself from being dragged. "Help me out here!" He asked his friends.
Killua smiled and sweatdropped. "You kinda need some new clothes," She said.
"And if Mimi's offering," T.K said.
Davis whipped a tear from his eyes. "You're going on a perilous journey, dude."
"I won't forget you, Killua!" Cody waved a handkerchief at him as a goodbye.
"GOOD LUCK!" All the Digimon said.
"TRAITORS!" Killua said, as his grip on the door became weaker. "ALL OF YOU!"
"Wait, Mimi! Can I join?!" Yolei asked.
"Bingo!" The pink haired girl said, as Killua's grip loosened and he was dragged away.
"SOMEBODY HELP MEEEEEEEEE!" He screamed as he was forced to a terrible destiny.
Shopping with two hyperactive girls.
A/N: This chapter for me it's sooooo boring. That it took me a while to gain inspiration."
"Anyways, Fav and Review."
