"Author note at the bottom. Read please."

"Stigmon Ultra Digivolves to... JewelBeemon!"

Everyone stared at Stigmon's new form with a sense of awe. The veterans shocked to see an Ultra evolution with the help of a Crest after so much time, while the new kids could only gape at him with amazement.

"His Crest... Fused with his Digivice?" T.K questioned, after seeing the process of Stigmon's evolution.

"JewelBeemon..." Both Cody and Yolei couldn't tear their eyes away from the new form of the insect.

Ken's eyes were wide with awe, as he clutched his Digivice. He could barely understand what happened at the moment, but seeing his partner reach a new evolution just filled him with a warm feeling.

"Stigmon reached the Ultimate level? How?!" Davis asked, watching the warrior in front of them.

"Now that's the question isn't it?" Killua muttered. 'Along with why does Ken has a Crest?'

JewelBeemon twirled his spear around, testing it's balance, before gripping it tightly and pointing it at the fake Digimon. Okuwamon growled at the new Ultra, its pincers snapping in a threatening manner.

"Okuwamon, get him!" The woman ordered, her eyes narrowing behind her shades.

Okuwamon charged at him, jaws open to devour the smaller insect. JewelBeemon moved out of the way and followed with a spinning kick on the cheek of the monster with the strength to send Okuwamon crashing down into the sand without any effort.

He looked down at himself, clenching his fist and looking at the spear. "I feel so strong..."

Okuwamon emerged from the sand and roared at the insectoid. Its wings started fluttering and shot upwards to trap JewelBeemon with its pincers, but he used his spear to blocked them. He pushed the monster away and slammed the flat of his weapon on the side of Okuwamon's face. The monster staggered in the air, and JewelBeemon took that chance to impact his weapon on the top of its head, once again causing it to crash on the sand.

"Now that's some serious power," Armadillomon muttered, watching JewelBeemon dominate the fight.

"It's impressive that he can go on toe with Okuwamon," Hawkmon said, observing each of their movements.

Patamon frowned. "Why couldn't we do it, but Stigmon did?" He said with a slight tone of jealousy.

"I don't know," T.K muttered, looking down at his chest. "I just... Couldn't bring out that power."

Kari's gaze dropped. "Me neither.."

"No time to mope," Gatomon said. "We have to be thankful that JewelBeemon is powerful enough to win."

Cody frowned unhappily. "But why did it had to be Ken's..." He couldn't help it, even now he didn't trusted Ken fully.

Okuwamon charged again, its limited mind not finding a better strategy aside from just charging over and over again. Sadly for it, JewelBeemon merely floated over its head, and kicked it in the back. Again, Okuwamon met the sand. "I'm fast..." He mused.

Davis watched the fight with a growing excited. "Sweet! Guys, don't you think this is great!?" He asked Killua and Ken.

"It is..." Ken nodded, admiring the power of his partner.

"I wish I had that kind of power!" V-Mon gushed as he watched the skill JewelBeemon was displaying.

Killua narrowed his eyes. They darted between the fight and the destroyed base. "This could give us a chance..." He muttered.

JewelBeemon landed in front of Okuwamon, and the monster took its chance to raise its claws and try to smash him. JewelBeemon blurred out of the way and gave an uppercut to its chin.

"Yeah! Get it! Get it!" Both V-Mon and Davis cheered and pumped their fists in support for the Digimon with the spear.

"JewelBeemon is strong enough to deal with it for now," Ken muttered. "In fact, I'm pretty sure he can beat it."

"Then we have to go!" Killua said. "The explosion is still very real, we have to stop it!"

V-Mon blinked and stopped cheering. "Is it really okay to leave JewelBeemon alone with this?" He asked with uncertainty.

As if to respond him, JewelBeemon proceeded to deliver a series of stabs towards Okuwamon, who could barely blocked them all and was causing its hide to start breaking apart. With one last thrust he sent it crashing once more towards the ground. "Don't worry about me!" He said turning to V-Mon. "I got this, listen to Killua and go stop the explosion!"

V-Mon nodded and Ken looked a his partner. "Then we'll live it in your hands, JewelBeemon!"

"You heard the mon!" Davis said, turning to the others. "Let's stop that explosion!"

The group nodded and followed the three boys. The woman in red saw them leaving with an annoyed glare. "Okuwamon, don't let them get there!"

The monster roared and wenr after the children. It didn't get far as Stigmon appeared in front of him and slammed the butt of his spear against its cheek. Okuwamon, once again, met the sand. "You won't be going anywhere!" He declared, pointing his spear at the fake Digimon.

Through a crack on the side of the remnant of the base, the group founded an opening. The inside was just as wrecked as the outside, pieces of debris were everywhere, along with tubes that lead... Somewhere.

"How can we move in a place like this?" T.K wondered as they entered.

"We have a guide," Killua said. "Ken, do you know where to go?" He asked.

The boy was looking around and his face was twisting in thought as he tried to recollect his memories of the base's layout. "Over here!" He pointed to the an entrance to the east. "That lead to the engine room." As he said that he took off running.

"Wait for us then!" Davis complained, as he ran after him followed by the rest of the group.

The hallways were more narrowed now, than prior to the fall of the structure. What used to be wide and big corridors were now small tunnels were they had to ran on an almost straight line. And as they got deeper and deeper, Killua could only feel a chill starting to run around his body. It was familiar, but he couldn't tell from where... 'What is this? Where is it coming from?'

The end of the corridor led them to what used to be the engine room. In the middle of it was the collapsed pillar where the golden Digi-egg once stood as a power source. The lower part of it was still connected to all the tubes and cables laying around the place. It was glowing with a red light and emanating a beeping, warning sounds. Another signal of the incoming explosion.

"Is this it?" Yolei asked, walking to it. As they all observed it a thought came to her head. "H-h-hey wait a minute... How are you going to use the Crest now!? It's in your Digivice!"

The group realized the problem as well. They didn't know how it happened, not even the veterans, but now the Crest was inside of the D-3, how were they going to use it to stop the explosion?

Ken gulped and walked to the pillar. "Maybe..." He mumbled, taking out his Digivice. "I can use it while it's inside."

"M-maybe?" Cody gulped nervously, watching Ken's actions carefully, almost expecting him to do something questionable.

"Well it's the only thing we can expect now," Killua said. "None of us saw what happened back there coming. It's on your hands now Ken." He didn't liked to add pressure, but there was no reason to try and sugarcoat it. Either it worked, or they would had to find a way to evacuate any Digimon nearby.

The boy put his Digivice on the pillar, never letting it out of his reach. Nothing happened for a few seconds, but then a light started emanating from it. It floated in place and bathed the upper and lower parts of the pillar. The tower slowly started to turn off, the lights vanishing and the sounds dying down.

Everyone looked around, and relief washed over them. "Alright it worked!" Davis cheered with a laugh.

"Thank God it worked," Killua said, slumping down as the tension of the room seemed to vanish.

Ken picked up his Digivice and smiled, relieved that he could fix this mistake the right way.

"Then it's over?" Kari asked hopefully.

"Yup!" Davis said giving her a thumbs up. "Everything around here is done!"

Killua smiled too, but he turned around and it slowly fade off his face. 'If it's over... Then why do I still have this familiar feeling?'

On the real world, Izzy smiled with relief as he observed the map of the Digital World. The waves representing all that energy gathering was gone. "They did it."

He typed in his computer and sent them the confirmation about their efforts having results.

Not a moment later after the deactivation, Cody's terminal started beeping. He flipped it open and smiled. "It's from Izzy. The readings are gone."

"Then now it's all over!" Yolei cheered. "We can finally go and rest back home! This has been a loooong day!"

Patamon shuddered a bit on T.K's arms. "Honestly, I thought it might have been too late," He said with a laugh.

"Me too, buddy," T.K said, rubbing his head.

Kari was, curiously enough, away from the celebration. She was standing at the side, her arms hands rubbing her arms as she suddenly started feeling cold.

A hand fell on her shoulder and she hid a flinch upon contact, this was starting to feel familiar... She turned around to see two blue orbs observing her with worry. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah... Well..." She didn't wanted to trouble him, it was probably nothing. Just the sun setting and the desert growing cold.

Killua frowned. "Kari, something is troubling you. Anyone could tell, they're just distracted by the relief of avoiding the explosion."

She sighed. "It's just that... I have a... Feeling, that's all."

Killua's frown deepened, but this time it wasn't aimed at her. "Like that ocean, right?" She nodded, a bit weakly. "Yeah... I've been feeling it too. Maybe only we can feel it since we've been there."

Kari looked at her partner, who seemed to be in deep thought while surrounded by her celebrating friends. "Gatomon must be the same too..." She mused. "I don't know what's causing it... But I don't like it."

Killua sighed. "I don't either."

Off to the side Davis walked to Ken and offered his hand for a shake. "You really saved our beacon, Ken. Thanks."

Ken looked surprised by the gesture and slowly lifted his hands to accept it...

Until another explosion shook the base.

Everyone staggered on their feet, while on the walls of the base many explosions started occuring. "What's happening?!" Ken asked, looking up.

Debris started falling on them, so the group had to start moving to avoid getting squashed.

From the outside, JewelBeemon blocked another of Okuwamon's attacks when he noticed the explosions. "What's happening?" A pit formed in his stomach. Had Ken and the others failed? Why? Was it because of the fusion between the Crest and the Digivice? Or maybe something else?

Whatever the case, Okuwamon took his distraction as an opening to slam his claws against his head. This time, it was JewelBeemon who met the sand.

On the base, the kids used the ruble to cover their heads as pieces of rocks rained down on them. Yolei was growling in frustration. "B-But the reactor stopped working, we put the Crest there! What happened?!"

Izzy watched with a horrified expression as the waves of energy started to gather again in the base. This time with even more power. "N-No way!"

His fingers danced on his keyboard, he needed to give them an update of the situation.

The message reached Izzy, he fished his D-Terminal and read it out loud. "From Izzy! 'Urgent: The dark energies are gathering again.'" His face morphed in one of disbelief. "No way... We're still in danger!"

"No shit, mini-sherlock!" Davis snapped, turning to Ken. "What happened?! I thought the reactor would stop acting with your Crest!"

"Then maybe... My Crest isn't enough," He said, with a haunted look. "It was useless..."

"No," Killua said. "Your Crest and Digivice wouldn't have reacted that way if they were useless... The reactor started and now something else is continuing it..."

Cody nodded. "He is right... Izzy wouldn't have told us the convergence of energy stopped otherwise..." When he noticed the gazes now on him, he looked to the side. "Just saying though..."

Another explosion rocked the place. The base wasn't going to last...

"Then what now!?" Kari asked, covering her head.

"What's the cause this time?!" Yolei shouted.

On one of the cracked monitors that the Emperor used to keep an eye around the world, the image of the woman appeared. She was still in the desert, though away from the fight. "What a shame..." She mocked a tone of sadness.

Kari turned accusingly to her. "You caused this!" She said.

"I caused the first wave," She explained nonchalantly. "But don't put this second one on me. Something else caused it, the power of the shadows is just too strong for a stupid little toy to handle it. Not even a pathetic Crest can handle it."

"What was that!?" Davis hissed at her.

The woman chuckled into her gloved hand. "Watching you all squirm... It's so funny!" She graciously composed herself. "Nothing will stop the explosion. I made sure of it! Ahahahaha!" She laughed at their misery and apparently unavoidable fate, as the screen turned dark.

As she vanished, Killua caught on something she said. 'The power of darkness?' He thought. 'So that explains this feeling. The similarity to that ocean! It's the shadows...' He clenched his fists. 'Well, that isn't of any help right now, is it?' He thought bitterly while looking down. He did a double take however, when he saw the tubes and cables on the floor. "Uh?"

Clenching his fists, Ken looked down. Trying to find a way out of this mess. He made all of this, so he has to know how to stop it! He has to! If only his brain kept the intellect he once had... No, having that it's not worth it if it means becoming the Emperor again. He closed his eyes, took a calming breath, and opened them... Then they widened as he saw the tubes. "That's it!" He exclaimed.

Everyone turned to him, while Killua gave him a knowing look. "These tubes, right?" He asked, pointing down.

"Exactly! Follow me!" He said, taking off to where the tubes went.

Without any other option, the group followed him.

The woman chuckled as she watched the explosions. "Those kids won't escape the explosion, not with him there," She mumbled. She turned around to see the fight between the insects. "Now if you could please die..." She deadpanned watching the exchange.

Okuwamon surged from the sand, with JewelBeemon between its jaws. The lancer was using his weapon to keep the monster's jaws from snapping him in half. He gathered energy on his weapon and liberated a shockwave that forced Okuwamon to free him.

Now free and with his opponent momentarily stunned, JewelBeemon stabbed his spear on the left side of the monster's face. Okuwamon screeched in pain and leaped away. Its non-existent eyes glaring at the warrior, who only responded by prepping his lance to continue the fight.

To his surprise, Okuwamon landed softly on the ground and then proceeded to dig its way below the sand.

Confused by this, JewelBeemon lowered down and started looking around, knowing that his opponent could jump at him from literally anywhere. "Where are you...?" He murmured, keeping his spear ready. "Where are you hiding?"

A shift from behind called his attention, making him turned around. But nothing came from there... It came from right below him.

The jaws of the monster wrapped around him and started dragging him down, below the sand.

The woman laughed as she watched this development. "It's over."

The new corridor was no more spacious than the last one. But it was different on the materials it was made of, it looked almost organic. Orange walls, with tubes like veins, instead of the dull grey that they've seen in the whole base.

"So, where is this going?" Davis asked.

"I believe this tubes are the ones that are sending the energy to the reactor," Ken explained. "If we follow them, we'll find the origin of the explosions."

Killua gave him a side-eyed look. "You 'believe?'"

Ken didn't said anything and continued to walk deeper in the corridor, the rest of the group not having other choice than to follow in the hopes of stopping the incoming disaster.

Yet some lagged behind, a sense of unease settling on their stomachs. Gatomon's hairs stood up and her ears and tail were rigid. "Something feels wrong about this place..."

"I figured you'd sense it too," Killua said, walking deeper. "It feels like that ocean..."

Small quakes shook the base, and some spall pieces of rock fell on the road all around the group. But then, something made them stop. Right in front of them they could hear footsteps approaching. From the end of the corridor, they could make out a silhouette slowly walking towards them.

Gasps of surprise ran across the group as someone they've encountered numerous times in their quest against the Emperor appeared in front of them, a sword in hand and a smile with sharp teeth accompanied with deep, blue eyes stared at them from under a hood. "Digidestined, I'm afraid you won't go further from this place."

"Blademon!" They all exclaimed at seeing the former right hand mon of the Emperor.

He chuckled and crossed his arms. "Glad to see you haven't forgotten about me," His eyes turned to Ken. "So good to see you again... Master," He spat the word as if it was venom.

Ken tensed when he regarded him and clenched his fists. "What are you doing here, Blademon?"

"I already say it," His hands glowed and his sword appeared, twirling on his grip and ready to be used on combat. "To avoid you from stopping this explosion!"

"Now you work for the woman! What are you, all of the bad guy's hound dog?!" V-Mon asked angrily.

"Work for?" He asked before scoffing. "Please, don't make me laugh. That old hag isn't my boss, no... Let's say we're both equals on this. She wants the explosion to happen, and I want the usual... Zoldyck's head on a silver platter!" He growled.

Killua growled back and his Nen flowed around him. "I know you won't answer me, you insufferable bastard, but why do you want me dead so badly!?" He asked, getting tired of this Digimon's cryptic nature.

"I told you, you shall only know once I have you at my feet," He said, his own energy bathing him. "Once I break every single bone of your body, you will learn the truth. That way, I will see the despair in your eyes as the life leaves them slowly."

Everyone was silent at the Digimon's violent and twisted desire. Davis was the first to speak. "Man, you are one sick Digimon!" He accused.

"Call me whatever you want," He said, now turning his attention to them. "When Zoldyck is death, you'll all be next!"

Killua let his Ren flow and sharpened his claws. "Guys, go to the source, I'll deal with this idiot."

"D-deal?" Cody asked with a bit of uneasiness, now that he knows of his past. "You mean...?"

Killua narrowed his eyes. "If he doesn't let me other choice... Then yes."

Blademon chuckled. "You're actually ready to fight me? After last time? Tell me, Zoldyck... How's the shoulder?"

Killua's eyes twitched with irritation.

Energy started to gather on Blademon's sword. Something Killua recalls happened the last time. "You feeling lucky?" He asked, preparing his attack. Killua was sweating cold as he wasn't sure about using Godspeed's whirlwind, taking in consideration what happened the last time. "Think you can dodge it again?" Blademon asked mockingly. "You're friends are in no condition to save you this time!" He grinned, watching the weakened state of the Rookies and Gatomon after the fight with Okuwamon.

Ken moved to stand a few feet behind Killua and subtly summoned his book, and prepared a page.

The Digidestined all watched the energy gathering on the sword, knowing that technique wasn't something to be taken slightly. They remembered the state it left Killua the first time around, and without their partners and with only Ten as their way of protection, there was nothing they could do right now.

"Tiger's Hunt!" He declared and dashed forward, his sword vibrating with the desire of impacting against a target.

Everything seemed to go in slow motion as he dashed to Killua. The sword was guiding Blademon so he would move around the Digidestined without even touching them, or even graze them, all so he could reach his prey.

Killua saw the attack coming. He didn't had other option, he had to activate Godspeed, even though his mind knew it was futile. Even if he dodges, Godspeed and Whirlwind will run out and story would repeat itself. Him, stabbed on a part of his body, if not dead or crippled down by a limb, and Blademon triumphant ready to deal the last blow. And his friends didn't had the energy to defend him like last time... This was going to end badly.

But from behind a shot was heard, Killua felt something blurring past him and the next thing he knew, Blademon halted his assault and recoiled in pain. The energy dissipating and his limb falling to the side.

Killua turned back to see what has happened. Ken was holding a weapon he recognized as a Thompson Contender, a gun that could only carry one bullet. A single-shot gun.

"Bastard..." Blademon grunted as his shoulder started to bleed.

"Ken..." Killua muttered.

Ken's gun dissipated and he let out a sigh. "Your attack is powerful, but if you lose focus then it can be stopped. I analyzed it over and over again after I saw it the first time..." He said.

Blademon grunted. His grip weakening at the injury on his shoulder. "Should've known you'd be paranoid like that," He said.

Ken turned to the rest of the group. "Go and find the source!" He said. "We can hold him off!"

"But Ken-" Davis tried to say.

"Do it!" Killua barked. "It won't matter if you stay to fight if the explosion kills us all! Go!" He ordered as his Ren flared along with Ken's.

The group doubted for a moment before reluctantly obeying and running down the hallway. Now injured and down an arm, he couldn't stop them while focusing on the two Nen users in front of him.

"Hehehe, the pretender Emperor, and the Anomaly working together," Blademon chuckled, ignoring the blazing pain on his shoulder and gripping his sword. "Let's see what you can do together!" He swung his sword down against the wall to his left. It collapsed revealing a far wider room down below, similar to where the reactor was.

He leaped down and the two boys looked after him. Killua looked a Ken for a moment. "You already know about my ability, but you have a new one. Mind giving me a brief rundown?"

Ken nodded. "I call it, Book of Equipment: Sochi. I made a drawing of what I want, and I also write down each specific detail about the item— From its pieces, its materials, how its pieced together, even the color. Then I rip the page and takes form. However, I can only give form to the objects of one page. If I want the items of another page, then I'll have to dissipated the one I already summoned."

"Interesting," Killua complimented as he leaped down. "Be honest with me, think you could beat him?"

"No," Ken said as he followed suit. "I feel weaker, ever since I stopped being the Emperor. That's why I only give Stigmon support from afar."

Killua nodded in understanding. "Then stick to it," He said, sharpening his nails. "Try to give me an opening to land a direct attack," He received a nod from Ken.

Blademon glared at them. "Finished with the pillow talk?" He asked, balancing his sword on one arm.

The Ren of the two flared on and took position, Ken's book was on hand and a page ready to be used. Blademon's sword twirled on his hand and he took a few testing swings on the air. "Never had to use it with one hand. So thanks for that," He said with a dry sarcasm.

Neither of the boy's responded, Ken gripped the selected page while Killua let electricity form on the tip of his fingers.

Tense moments passed in the room, before Ken finally ripped the page off and threw the tranformed object into the air, revealing it to be a smoke grenade. It's contents leaked out and covered the room while Killua charged.

The Digidestined didn't found any more obstacles on their way towards the source of power. It was all a straight line from there. Yet the worries for their friends didn't quelled, they could only hope the two could deal with the Reaper together.

The end of the corridor appeared before them. A new chamber made itself known to them, one that settled a deep pit on their stomach. Standing in the middle of the room was a giant spire made of cables and tubes, all of it surrounded by a dark energy that made the atmosphere on the room feel heavier and even colder.

"H-how turned on the air conditioner?" Davis said, rubbing his arms together.

T.K gritted his teeth. "This feeling..." He muttered.

"Yeah," Patamon nodded, his ears lowered as he rested on his head. "It's just like that whirlpool..." He muttered, remembering that whirlpool where Ken collected Devimon's data.

"So we were right," Kari muttered, her arms tightening around herself. "It's the same as that ocean..."

Gatomon's eyes narrowed as she saw the tower with more detail. Something similar to a claw was attached to it, emanating a dark mist from it. "This thing must be connected to a place like the Dark Area, or to that ocean. That explains why so many negative energy has been gathering here..." She deduced.

Another explosion caused them to dock, this one was even stronger than the ones they've been dealing with before. "This thing is about to blow!" Armadillomon panicked.

The group slide down to reach the center of the spire. The energy becoming denser, and ready to burst out. "Okay, we're here!" Davis said, looking around the base of the structure. "What now!?" He asked.

"We have to find a way to stop it from blowing!" Cody said, he looked at Yolei. Who was the more adept on this technological stuff. "What do you think we should do?!"

"M-maybe there's some kind of control panel," Yolei said looking around. "Some way to deactivate it!"

She couldn't get any closer, as a new explosion came from the base of the spire, sending them all flying back. It rocked the chamber and caused rocks to rain around them. Even with their Ten active, the force of the explosions wouldn't let them get closer.

At this rate, if they can't get any closer, there will be nothing to stop the base from exploding completely and taking many lives

The sand rippled all around the desert, and at that moment both of the insects fighting around the area surrounding the fallen base shot out from beneath the dunes of sand. JewelBeemon was trapped on Okuwamon's right pincer. He looked to the direction of the base and his eyes widened when he saw a new explosion. "Ken, the others, they're all in danger!" He gripped his spear and stabbed the back of Okuwamon's hand.

The monster roared in pain and released JewelBeemon. Now free, JewelBeemon focused energy on the tip of his spear. "Spike Buster!" He thrusted the spear on the injury he caused earlier on the fight, on the left side of its face. The weapon buried itself there and liberated a shockwave that expanded throughout the body of the fake Digimon. The monster screeched in pain and exploded from the inside out. Its dusty remainings mixing with the sand.

Now with nothing on his way, JewelBeemon dashed towards the base. He had to find the kids and stop the explosion no matter what.

The group was regaining their bearings after that last explosion. All of them sprawled around the room. Davis slowly looked around. "Is... Everyone okay?" He asked.

Yolei nodded. "Yeah... We are but..." She looked towards the tower. "But look at that!"

The claw absorbing the darkness into the tower started glowing and a blank square appeared at its side. Kari's spine froze in fear as she watched water coming out from that portal. "The darkness... Is leaking..." She muttered.

Everyone got to their feet and could only stare in horror as the tower started glowing. Signaling what they've been dreading, the explosion was happen and they had no means to stop it.

"It's about... To blow," T.K said with a dejected horror.

But as the energy overflowed the tower, a wall busrted open and JewelBeemon surged from it. With a swing from his weapon, he cleaved the claw appendage that was gathering the darkness in half. The piece of structure fell to the floor and the darkness dissipated from it, and the energy left the tower.

"JewelBeemon!" V-Mon cheered at seeing the Ultra Digimon.

In the human world, Izzy has decided that he's the youngest person ever to had several heart attacks, as he kept a constant watch on the readings of the energy. And how close the younger generation has been to being reduced to nothing but dust.

"Big idea to not call anyone to help me out here..." He moaned while wiping his brow. If he was like this, he could only imagine how the others were.

"Crisis adverted!" Cody said, reading Izzy's message. "This time for real!"

"Finally!" Davis said, slumping down. He looked at the rest of the base. "But... I don't like this place standing here..."

JewelBeemon floated above them with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, I will break this place down but..." He looked around. "Where is Ken?"

The group recoiled and looked at JewelBeemon nervously. "H-He... He's with Killua," Kari said. "Fighting Blademon."

"Blademon!?" JewelBeemon gasped. "Take me to him then, I will help them out!" He declared while clenching his weapon.

The group nodded and went back down the corridor were they came from.

Outside of the base, the woman clenched her fists angrily. "Damn those children to hell and back!" She hissed. "I can't waste any more towers on them, they're necessary for the plan!" She mumbled.

Huffing out her anger she walked towards the nearest TV. "I will think of an alternative later. Now, let's see how Blademon is doing..." She said, the TV showing the image of Blademon and the Nen users fight. Which by now was reaching an outcome.

The bomb Ken threw liberated a smoke screen that quickly covered the area, Killua let out a smirk, this was going to give him a perfect opportunity.

He used Zetsu to hide his presence from Blademon and combined it with his Echo Rhythm, copies of him appeared by his side and dashed out of the smoke, taking the jump on Blademon from the front.

The hooded Digimon gripped his sword with his uninjured hand and swung his sword against the many copies of the boy, all of them vanishing an upon contact like a mirage. The real Killua ran forward, taking advantage of the distraction his illusions caused, engaging his Nen again and using his Hatsu on the palm of his hands he skid to a halt in front of Blademon.

"Lighting Palms!" He thrusted his hands forward, liberating a big discharge of electricity.

Blademon gritted his teeth as the lightning coursed through his body. He endured the pain and raised his sword above Killua's head to bring it down to behead him. The boy jumped back in time to avoid the sword, this impacting against the floor.

Ken for his part flipped throw his pages to find some new weapon or item that could give Killua an edge, even injured Blademon was most certainly a powerful Digimon, one that could beat Ultimates without a problem, they needed every edge they could gain.

'They're both close-ranged combatants,' He analyzed. 'But where Blademon depends on his weapon, even having a long-ranged attack like his Air Slash, Killua fights with his own body. Maybe that's what he needs; something to give use at a long-range.' He ripped the page and the object started to take form. "Killua!" He yelled, throwing the object to him.

Killua heard the yell, and after parrying one of Blademon's slashes and nailing a kick to his chin, he focused Nen on his feet and blasted himself backwards with the propelling technique. He backflipped and landed on a crouch, he turned his body around and caught the object. Taking a good look at it, Killua couldn't help but grin at the Calico M950.

Blademon dashed at him, and Killua just turned around and started firing, forcing the Digimon to stop and start spinning his sword like a fan to deflect the bullets. He growled and bared his fangs at the smug look he was receiving from the boy.

Killua noticed Ken was circling around them, flipping through the pages of his book. He was going to summon something new, which meant the gun on his hands will soon disappear. Ken stood behind Blademon and ripped a page and just as expected the gun on Killua's hand vanished, while a new weapon appeared on Ken's hands — The same Thompson Contender he used earlier. He shot the singled bullet to Blademon's back, in the hopes of further injure the Digimon, but he turned around and with a millimetric diagonal slash he cut the bullet in half.

Ken gasped as Blademon turned his attention to him. The Digimon appeared in front of him in a burst of speed, aiming a slash to his sides. Ken barely had time to focus his Nen on the side where the sword struck, avoiding being cut by it, but the force behind the strike still send him flying away. He bounced on the floor various times, his Ten absorbing the impact, until he crashed against some rubble.

"Ken!" Killua called in worry, dashing towards his side. He watched the boy's state with care, he didn't seemed to have serious injuries, but he did had bruises all over his body. "Are you okay?"

"I..." He shakily stood back up, his body was covered in bruises but nothing seemed to be broken. "I'm okay... But that strike could have cut me in half."

The two observed Blademon watching them with his features hidden as usual, only his blue eyes could be seen. And they could just feel the pleasure he took after delivering that attack on the former Emperor.

Killua glared at the Digimon and turned to Ken. "Hey, think you can give me a weapon?" He asked. "Something to compete against that stupid sword."

Ken wanted to question him about the reason, he already had those absurdly strong nails after all, but he watched Blademon getting ready to attack and decided to only comply. "Okay," He summoned his book one last time and ripped a page, he tossed it to Killua and the paper took the form of a medieval long sword.

Killua tested it for a bit and smiled at the familiarity. 'It feels like the time I took Piedmon's swords,' He mused, gripping the sword on his two hands.

He focused his attendance back to Blademon, and not a moment later he dashed back into the fray. Blademon gripped his sword and blocked a slash from the boy. The two commneced a back and forth in which Killua would go for slashes that Blademon would block with his broadsword.

Killua swung the sword over his head and aimed a slash to the head of the hooded Digimon, Blademon responded by raising his sword and blocking it. This left his torso exposed, which Killua took advantage off by delivering a kick to the center of his solar plexus. Luckily for Blademon, the armor he had under his cloak absorbed the damage, but still managed to push him back.

Momentarily open, Blademon could barely block some of Killua's new and harsher attacks on him. Blademon frowned as the flat of his sword blocked and redirected the slashes from the boy, it was obvious that Killua did had some notion of swordsmanship, but compared to his own it was mediocre. He didn't comprehend what he gained by asking Ichijouji to give him the weapon. Planting his feet to regain advantage, Blademon pushed the boy back after his latest slash and this time went on the offensive.

His strikes, while lacking the usual strength due to the injury on his arm, were faster and more heavy than Killua's. The boy flinched each time their weapons collided, and only by using Shu as reinforcement was the reason the weapon hasn't broken apart. But his arms trembled under the weight of the blows.

He had to put his strategy in motion, or else he'd be overwhelmed.

The two eventually ended on a struggle where Blademon blocked on of his strikes, while Killua kept pressing his sword down to try and break his defenses. "Your swordsmanship is pretty sloppy," Blademon mocked. "For all your talent, you could never compete with me on that. Better stick with your stupid attempt on manicure."

Killua narrowed his eyes, before smirking. He relaxed his body, allowing Blademon to add pressure on the struggle and then... He let go of his sword.

The sudden lack of resistance caused Blademon to stagger forward for just a moment, and that's all Killua needed. He moved forward, hands ready, and pierced the injured shoulder of the Digimon with his claw.

Blademon grunted in pain and raised his sword with his good hand to attack. Killua already predicted this action, he twisted his hand on the injured before he unplugged it from his shoulder and leaped back.

Blood flowed freely from the hooded Digimon's arm like a river. What started as a minor nuisance was now a great pain that would not allow him to move freely.

Killua smirked at him and revealed that with that last twist, he ripped a chunk of flesh from him. Ken gagged at the visage. The chunk slowly dissipated into data and Killua chuckled coldly. "Now tell me, Blademon... How's the shoulder?" He fired his own words back at him.

Blademon growled. "You bastard..."

Before any of them could continue, the ceiling above them broke apart and revealed the giant figure of JewelBeemon, the rest of the group on his arms. "Ken!" He called.

"Killua!" The rest of the group called.

"Guys!" The two boys were overjoyed of seeing the group. Their presence, along with JewelBeemon's meant that Okuwamon was defeated and that the explosion has been adverted.

Blademon was also glad of their arrival. Because it granted him an opening to leaped to a certain part of ruble full of broken screens. One of them lit up and a moment later, the Reaper was absorbed by it.

The group didn't had time to react to his escape. It was too late to stop it. Killua growled. "Damnit! How did he do that!?"

Ken narrowed his eyes as well. 'That woman did the same back in my house...' He thought. 'She must've helped him...'

"Guys, everything is okay now!" Davis said. "The explosion was stopped!"

"Good job everyone!" Killua said, smiling. "That means we're done."

Ken sat up, the pain from his bruises having subdued a bit. "Actually... There's one more thing I have to do here..." He said.

Everyone looked at him with curiousity, except for JewelBeemon. He already knew what his partner wanted to do.

The group stood as far away from the base as they could. Then at the distance they heard a yell from JewelBeemon's voice.

"Spike Buster!" With that yell came an explosion. One that for the first time the Digidestined welcomed with open arms, as it erased every trace of the Emperor's former base.

After the light of the explosion died down, they could see JewelBeemon approaching them. And when he was close enough to them, his body started glowing and he reverted all the way back to Minomon.

Ken extended his hands and caught his partner without a problem. He looked at him over with worry. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Minomon nodded. "Yeah, that new form it's just too exhausting..." He said, giving an adorable yawn.

"Thank you so much, Minomon," Ken said thankfully. Glad that one of the greatest reminders of his mistakes were gone.

V-Mon walked up to them and looked at Minomon with admiration. "You were amazing back there, thanks for saving out bacon!"

Minomon blushed and scratched his little head. "It was nothing..." He said sheepishly.

Davis walked up to Ken and extended a hand. "Thanks to you too, Ken. Great job back there!"

Ken was about to grab the hand, when he hesitated and looked at Minomon. "I don't get it... Why did my Crest and Digivice suddenly fused?"

"Why question it?" Davis said, waving a hand dismissively. "It happened because you wanted to help. Maybe because we can be friends!"

"Friends?" Ken's eyes widened slightly at the prospect.

"Yup," Davis said, popping the P. "What else could it be?"

Killua from the side frowned and shook his head at his reasoning. 'Many, many things. But Ken's questions does have merit. We'll have to discuss it with Izzy tomorrow.'

Ken looked at the side after Davis explanation. "It's... Nice of you to think that way, but I don't think I deserved to be called that just yet."

Davis looked surprised and then he frowned. "Deserve? But, you've done more than enough to help us. Isn't that sufficient?"

"... Sorry, just give me a bit more time to get think..." He said, walking away with Minomon in arms. The small Digimon looked at Ken sadly for a moment, before waving his tiny arms at them as a goodbye.

"Hey, wait- Ichijouji!" He tried to reach him but Killua put a hand on his shoulder. "But... Sparky..."

"Davis, I honestly know how you feel about this," He said. "After he helped me back there with Blademon, I'd really like him to join but we can't force it on him. He needs to come around on his own."

"But... He just fought with us, even saved you from the creepy hoodie guy," Davis defended his case, stubbornly.

"Maybe it was just a heat of the moment thing," Yolei explained, with a shurg. She also wanted Ken to join, but she wasn't going to push the issue. "It was either continue working solo, or help us deal with a big fucking explosion. And with whatever the heck happened with his Digivice too."

"I'm still trying to wrap my head around that part," Cody said, replying the events that lead to Stigmon's evolution.

"It'll come naturally in time," Kari reassured him. "Just be patient."

Even if it came from Kari, Davis still felt bummed at the constant reject from the sixth Digidestined. "If you say so."

"For now I say we go home," Killua said. "Tomorrow there's a reunion with Izzy and tonight we have another session on Nen."

"Say what?!" Davis said as Killua walked away. "We deserve a break after all this craziness, don't we!?"

"Yeah, but you guys also deserve being better at Nen, don't you?" Killua asked with a sly smile.

"That's bull!" Davis sulked as they continued to walk away on the opposite direction where Ken went.

T.K lagged behind for a moment to stare in the direction where Ken went. He frowned a bit in thought before continuing. 'He's truly different now. I just hope he isn't doing this for his own benefit.'

As they walked back to the television, Killua's eyes drifted to Kari as he remembered the battle he had along with Ken. He moved to her side and spoke. "You were right."

"Hm?" She looked at him with a questioning look. "About what?"

"How to deal with Blademon," He said. Remembering the night before they stayed on the Digital World to take out Ken. "You said that I shouldn't do it by myself if I couldn't think of a way to beat him, that I could count on your help. And, while it wasn't you guys, having someone aiding me out was a big help to beat that dumbass."

Kari's eyes lit in understanding, as her mind went to that night. She let out a smile and nodded. "You're welcome then. Although next time, I hope we are the ones to help you."

Killua smiled back and stuffed his hands on his pockets. "Maybe soon," He said, closing his eyes.

"Yeah... Yeah we're sure!" Killua discussed over a pay phone. "Look, Izzy- We- LET ME TALK!" He snapped, and was quiet for a few moments. "Okay good, then we'll tell you the details tomorrow. The others are tired, not to mention myself." He hung up and sighed, the boy genius left home once the the crisis of the explosion was adverted, so they had to call in and give the summary of what happened.

"What did he say?" Yolei asked as Killua approached the group.

The boy shrugged. "What else could be said? Wanted us to go tomorrow after classes to give him a rundown of what happened."

"Oooh boy, he's in for a wild ride," Davis said as they started walking down the road. "Between the crazy spider lady, an Ultimate tower, the psycho with the hoodie and Ichijouji's partner new evolution, I'm still processing everything myself."

"Think we can give us an explained about that last part?" Cody asked.

T.K shook his head. "This is strange, even for us. When we had our Crests they never fused with our Digivices. We had the Tags for that."

"And we don't have a clue of where Ken's Crest came from," Kari added.

Before anything else could he theorized, Demiveemon's tummy started rumbling. "I'm hungry~!" He moaned.

"Well at least that isn't new," Killua chuckled.

"I'm hungry too," Yolei groaned, caressing Poromon's head.

"It is getting late," T.K said. "We can share theories later when we meet in the Digital World later on."

Cody turned to Killua. "What are you teaching us now?" He asked.

"Well, much to my surprise you guys got Ten down really quick," He said. "And since we're in a hurry I'll teach you the last two principles."

"Then we better eat a lot to be ready Cody!" Upamon said, almost vibrating on his partner's arm due to anticipation.

"You aren't even coming, you just want an excuse to eat more, don't you?" Cody asked with a smile and a headshake.

"Mmmmmaybe," The Digimon's sheepish reply caused another wave of laughter amongst them. Something needed after the stressful day they had.

As the night fell, Ken laid wide awake on his bed. He was staring at his Digivice with a puzzled look, fumbling with its side to try and open the slot where his Crest went in, but without any luck. "Minomon, why do you think the Crest entered the Digivice."

"I don't know. But when I felt it washing over me, I felt incredible!" He said with a smile.

Ken continued to look at the gray device on his hand. "It has been glowing oftentimes, but never like that... I wonder what triggered."

"It was your kindness," Minomon said, as if it was the most obvious statement in the world. "You wanted to help and do things right, I could feel your emotions when I evolved!"

Ken let his arm drop and he turned around in bed. "I started doing this because I wanted to fix everything I did," He said. "But now... I genuinely want to save the Digital World from that woman... And maybe even join them someday."

"You do?" Minomon asked, surprised by that last part.

He nodded. "I always thought you were the only one on my side but..." His mind flashed back to Davis and Killua, both giving him chances to fight alongside them. And with the leader even asking his help to fight someone like Blademon. "Now I'm not so sure..."

"Well I'm glad about that," Minomon said, taking Ken by surprised. The Digimon cuddled on his side with a smile. "It makes me happy to think we have someone to rely on."

"Even after everything I did..." He mumbled, his eyes slowly starting to feel heavier.

Minomon smiled and made himself comfortable at his side. "You only need time to think about it. Good night, Ken." He closed his eyes and drifted away too.

"Sparky?"

"Hmm?"

"Have I mentioned that I hate you?"

"A couple times, yeah."

"That's good, because right now? I despise you."

"I'm hurt," Killua rolled his eyes as he stood in front of the obviously tired children in front of him. Even Kari looked winded. He didn't blamed them, after yesterday shenanigans. But they needed to get things done and fast. "Luckily for you, we will only work on Ren and Hatsu, afterwards you can go home to your beds."

"Yaaay," Both Yolei and Davis said in mock happiness.

Killua moved to the borrowed board and pointed to the word 'Improvemet.' "As I said before, Ren is the ability to generate a specially strong aura," To make an example he let out his own Ren, now visible for them to see.

Everyone was in awe at seeing the density of Killua's aura. Coming to show the difference between him and the group.

Killua morphed his Ren back to Ten. "Let me give you all the play by play," He said. "Stand up."

They did as they were told, a bit stiff with the nerves of starting to work on what could be the first offensive technique.

"Close your eyes," Killua gave as first instruction, and everyone followed. "Now Ten up," Everyone did as told, letting the mantle of aura cover them. "Imagine the energy gathering around your body. The power gathers on each of your cells and starts growing. Now, force that power to come out!"

The Digidestined all struggled with the instruction. The image was clear do to Killua's instructions and now they only needed to convert it to their bodies.

On the side where they left their belongings, the Digivices all beeped and glowed momentarily.

The kids let out their auras. A Ren not as dense as Killua's came out, it was actually really thin and it only lasted for a few seconds. In moments most of them had fallen to all fours, the only one who stayed up for a few moments was Kari, but in the end she collapsed too.

Killua hummed as he watched them. "Not bad for a first try."

"Don't..." Davis wheezed. "Don't patronize us..."

"I'm not," Killua said sharply. "We're working hurriedly and with you guys having only awakened your Nen yesterday, this is a good advance. I would like you guys to rest, but I need you to try the next thing: Keep bringing your Ren out, and when you feel you're getting exhausted, tune it back to Ten. Keep that until you can last a minute. I'll give you an hour to do so," He said while walking away with a backpack.

"Where... Are you going?" Cody asked.

"To gather some things for the next step," He said. "I'll be back in an hour, if you can keep your Ren up for a minute by then, then we'll leave it for tomorrow, got it?"

"Osu," Their response was weaker as the previous ones.

Kari was the first to reincorporation herself, followed by Davis. Then T.K, Cody and Yolei got up to try again. She took a deep breath and let the Ren flow out from her.

'One, two, three... Four... Five,' She felt her limbs start trembling as she tried to keep the aura flowing. But by the fifth second she had to flow back to Ten.

The others were pretty much the same. Not even five minutes and they had to morph it back to the basic cloak or else they'll collapse.

She sighed. 'This is going to take a while...' She said.

The Digivices beeped for a few moments as they used Ren, but after a while they went completely silent.

When Killua came back, he was balancing perfectly a tray with five glass cups of water in them — All of them with a leaf in the center. When he reached the clearing, all of his students were sprawled on the floor, panting and their clothes drenched with sweat. "Yikes, and they can't even take a shower later..." He mumbled.

He approached them and left the tray on a trunk. Everyone was panting heavily as they struggled to get up. "Taking a break?"

"O-osu..." They mumbled weakling.

"Did you managed to actually do it?" He asked, wanting to see if they could move on the last principle.

They didn't responded for a while, too busy to recompose themselves. But when they managed to take their initial positions they nodded. "Osu!"

"Well then, show me," He said, taking out a stopwatch.

"R-right now?" Yolei stuttered, feeling her stomach churn with nervousness.

"When else?" Killua asked with a deadpan. "Ready?"

Everyone took a deep breath and let their Ten up.

"Start!" He pressed the button and the time started running.

The others let their Ren out. It was still nowhere Killua's level of intensity, but it was decent enough in his perspective for the next level.

The time ticked away, but for the Digidestined it was taking forever for the minute to pass. They were all struggling to keep it up, they managed to do it, but that didn't meant it was an easy feat for them. Their limbs trembled and sweat ran down their faces due to the strain.

Eventually, that eternal minute came to an end and they dispelled the technique. Collapsible again and some, like Yolei and Davis, looking ready to throw up.

Killua nodded in satisfaction. "Okay, you guys did it. When you feel ready, we'll move to the next stage."

"Osu..." Their voices trembled as they repeated the mantra.

Turns out, it took almost ten minutes for them to recover. Even when they took gulps of water from their bottles, their hands shook like a leaf in the wind. Even athletes like Davis and T.K, or those used to this trainings like Cody and Kari were completely spent. And poor Yolei needed Kari's help to lift the bottle to her lips.

Killua was watching them and trying to hide his amusement. Suddenly feeling grateful of being born with a great talent. What could he say? Some are just born lucky... Wait he just remembered his family, never mind.

Once the group manage to recompose themselves, they gathered on the trunk where Killua put the glass cups. "The final principle. The last step on yout training. It's learning your Nen type to use your Hatsu."

"Nen... Type?" T.K asked slowly.

Killua proceeded to write the kanji for activation that represents the Hatsu, and then draw an hexagon around it. On each of the hexagon's points was written a word.

-Enhacer.

-Transmuter.

-Conjurer.

-Specialist.

-Manipulator.

-Emitter.

"These are the six Nen types," Killua explained. "An Enhacer can make objects even stronger and possess a specially strong aura, a Transmuter can change the properties of their aura to recreate an element, a Conjurer can give a form to their aura, a Manipulator can use their aura to control an object or a creature, an Emitter can launch their aura like a projectile, an a specialist is a Nen user whose abilities don't fall in any of the previous five."

Like usual, the group was completely entrapped in the explanation he was giving, and so he continued without interruption. "To use your aura efficiently, you have to know to what category you belong. Nen is associated to an individual's characteristics, specially to two factors in particular. Your innate potential and the circumstances of your nurturing."

He looked at them to look for an example, Wing used Gon's natural flexibility and speed and the sharp senses he developed in the wild, so he needed something similar. "Davis for example is someone fast, and with great reflexes thanks to his time playing football."

Davis was surprised to be used as an example, but then he scratched his upper lip smugly.

"From the moment you're born, your aura already falls into one of this categories," Killua continued explaining. "And it might sound weird, but under certain circumstances is possible for your Nen aura to change its type."

He turned back to the board. "If you try to use a technique that isn't compatible with your type, you'll find it as something really difficult." He pointed to the Transmuter corner. "For example, I'm a Transmuter that's why changing my aura into an element, lightning in this case, is so simple for me," He moved towards the Manipulators corner. "But techniques involving Manipulation won't come as natural to me."

"So... You're saying that if I fall into a category, then the one on the opposite side of the hexagon to my category will be harder for me to learn?" Yolei asked, making sure she didn't get anything wrong.

"Precisely," Killua nodded. "Take Ken as another example; He has shown himself to be a Conjurer, so Emitter techniques will be harder for him to use."

"And what about the specialist type?" Cody asked, curious about that one in particular.

"The specialist type isn't taken in consideration for this at the moment, we'll come back to it later," He assured. "On the other side though, categories adjacent to yours are easier to dominate. In my case as a Transmuter I could also dominate Enhacer and Conjurer techniques," He explained. "In fact..."

He stretched his hand outwards and focused his Nen. Slowly a yo-yo similar to those he used in combat appeared on his hands. Everyone watched in awe, suprised by what Nen could do.

"Let me put it this way," He said, dispelling the item. "You control your natural category at a hundred percent, those adjacent to it at a eighty percent, and the one opposed to yours at a forty perfect, and the remaining two at a sixty percent. Do you understand?"

"Osu!"

T.K raised his hand. "In that case. How do we know our categories? To avoid making techniques of the wrong type?"

Killua smirked. "Glad you asked," He said. "That's what the cups are for," He explained gesturing to the glasses filled with water. "This is a test in which you cup your hands around it and apply your Ren into it and according to the reaction of the water we determined your Nen type. It's called Water Divination. It is also used for the training on Hatsu."

"What reactions are to be expected?" Kari asked, looking at the cups.

"Better that you figure out," Killua said with a shrug. "Who wants to go first?"

"Me! Me!" Davis said, raising his hand high. Killua rolled his eyes and gestured to one of the cups.

Davis stretched his fingers and cupped his hands around the glass and applied his Ren. He focused really hard on the glass, sweat pouring from his forehead. The crystaline water slowly started to change into a more dark blue color. Davis gasped and fell back on his butt, panting. "W-what the heck?"

"That's the reaction to your Nen type," Killua said. "Davis, you are an Emitter."

Davis blinked and then a grin formed into his face. "Heck yeah! That sounds awesome!"

"Now me!" Yolei said before anyone else could speak. She sat in front of a cup and focused her Ren into it. She focused with all of her might, just like Davis did... And nothing happened. "Eh? W-what's wrong?" She mumbled.

Killua walked to her and watched the water with a frown. "Sorry, Yolei... It seems you don't have a potential."

"W-what?!" The girl said, freaking out to the verge of tears.

"... Kidding," A cat smirk formed on Killua as he said this.

Yolei fummed and shoved him to the side. "Gosh, Mimi is right! You're such a jerk!"

"Hahaha! Sorry, couldn't resist!" He said, scratching his head. "Taste the water."

Still fumming, Yolei did so. She dipped her finger and licked the water. Immediately she gagged. "Pleah! Puagh! It's bitter, what the hell! Where did you get this!?"

"From a crystaline river," Killua said. "They're all as unflavored as water comes. The fact that its taste is different means you changed it, which makes you a Transmuter—like me."

Yolei blinked and imagined herself covered in lighting. She grinned and pumped her fists. "Bingo!"

"I... I would like to go next," Cody said. Killua nodded and the boy took a deep breath and let out his Ren around the cup. His face covered itself in sweat after a few seconds and then impurities appeared in the water. "W-what does it mean?"

"A Conjurer," Killua said. "Good job, Cody."

Cody nodded, but also frowned. He didn't particularly liked the idea of sharing Nen type with Ken.

"Who's next?" Killua asked, looking at the two veterans.

"Go ahead T.K," Kari said, gesturing to the cups.

The blonde nodded and slowly sat down on the ground and cupped the glass. He let out his Ren and like the others, he started sweating from the effort. The leaf on the water started moving around softly. "Am I... Am I doing this?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"Yup!" Killua said, clapping his shoulder. "You are a Manipulator. Rejoice."

T.K chuckled and got up. He started wondering what he could do with this ability.

Finally it was Kari's turn. She sat down in the cup and focused her Nen. Everyone leaned to see the result and the girl put all of her energy into staring at the cup. After a few seconds... The water started overflowing the cup.

"An Enhacer," Killua said. "Good jo-" He was interrupted when something else happened.

The water suddenly started glowing, like it was being reflected by the sun. Kari flinched a bit and stopped the flow, the others staring at it slack-jawed, including Killua. "W-what was..." Kari tried to say.

Off to the side. The pink Digivice's screen started dim out, the image of the Crest of Light slowly vanishing...

"What reaction was that?" T.K asked the white haired boy.

"... An Specialist," Killua said, eyes wide. "When the reaction isn't one of the former five, but one completely new and different, you're an Specialist... But..."

"But what?" Kari asked nervously.

"Look at the hexagon," Killua said. "An Enhacer and an Specialist are in two different sides. And besides, an Specialist is something rare. Like finding a needle on a haystack. It's possible to become one sure, but that's most likely to happen to Conjurers and Manipulators."

"But... It is possible?" Yolei asked. "To have two Nen types."

Killua frowned in thought. The image of Kurapika with red eyes coming to mind. "Under certain circumstances..." He said. "But still... This is certainly strange." He turned to Kari. "Would you mind trying again?"

Kari nodded, thought her face seemed troubled for some reason. She cupped the glass and focused, the water started overflowing but it didn't glowed... And neither did the Digivice's screen.

Killua frowned. "Okay. For now we can say you're mainly an Enhacer, we still don't know what triggers your Specialist Nen."

"O-Okay," She nodded.

There was an uncomfortable silence for a moment before Killua clapped his hands. "That's all for today. As I promised you guys can go back to sleep. For now the lessons will be all about activating the Hatsu, so I'll have cups ready. Get a good night of rest. Remember that tomorrow we have to go to Izzy's place."

"Osu," Their response was a bit quieter than usual. Probably drained from using Ren and shocked over what Kari did. One by one they left leaving the residents of the Kamiya household alone on the area.

Kari was looking down while rubbing her arm uncomfortably. Killua frowned and walked to her. "What's bothering you?"

She opened her mouth to tried to deny it at first, but realized it would be futile against Killua. So she sighed and looked at her hands. "That glow... It made me think of... Of... That place."

"... The ocean?" He received a nod as an answer.

He frowned in thought. He always thought Kari possessed something special back during the first adventure, she remembered the incident where she, T.K and Tai were chosen, she was possessed by Homeostasis, and then that light covered her body with the Numemon. Hindsight is twenty-twenty, but he should have seen something like this coming.

But now all of that seemed to be coming to haunt her in the form of that ocean. They might not have any encounters with those creatures again after the first time, but nothing secures they couldn't come back. And now her discovery of her Nen type brought back those memories.

He sighed and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, don't worry," He said. "Remember why you're learning Nen in the first place, so those things won't bother you again. We'll find what triggered that reaction, but for now we'll focus on strengthening your Hatsu of Enhancement."

Kari gave a weak smile in return. "Osu."

The two of them moved to collect their stuff when a beeping sound came from her backpack. She grabbed it and looked around its contents to take out her D-Terminal. "A message?"

Killua perked up at this. "So late? Who could it be?"

She shrugged and opened them. Her eyes looked over the screen and widened in surprise. "Look!" She said handing him the device. He looked at the message and his eyes widened.

Digidestined. Meet me at the underground city where you faced Leomon.

I'd like to meet those who removed the eggs as soon as possible.

—Gennai.

The two of them exchanged looks, with Killua handing the terminal back to her and his face morphing slowly into a scowl. "Yet another thing to discuss with Izzy tomorrow..." He mumbled.

A/N: Done.

""You know, I actually wanted to do their meeting with the sender of the message in this same chapter. But it was turning out to be longer than I expected."

"On the bright side of things we got a two on one fight with Killua and Ken working together. What do you think of that? And we also know the kid's Nen type."

"Shot out to the guest AnonymousBW who guessed their Nen type correctly."

"Now, onto the issue with Kari. I always wanted to make her an Enhancer, but even during the previous installment you guys thought she should be a Specialist, and I see the logic behind it. So I decided... Why not both? Make a Kurapika scenario, where under certain circumstances her Nen type changes. In this case, from what I'm giving you, when her Crest shines."

"Now... I already have the techniques for most of them. For Davis, Kari, and Yolei... But I'm having troubles with Cody and T.K. So... Ideas please?"

"And while you're at it, what do you think of Ken's new ability? I based it on Kunikida's ability from Bongou Stray Dogs (Great anime)"

"I have an idea of a fic. It's based on one called The Unfortunate One. Check it if you haven't, is a RWBY x Red vs Blue crossover. So if a chapter of it is posted randomly it'll be me testing the waters."

"FAVXREVIEW"

"See you soon."
