"Reviews!"

"Zero Fullbuster: Here's what happens next!"

"AlbertDS1921: Well, guess you'll have to wait and see."

"Guest: Uhh... Dude, I resolved that on the first fic. On the chapter of Friendship X and X Purity."

"Kurama The Platinum Zoroark: Hmmm, maybe she does, maybe she doesn't. And I have great plans for BlackWargreymon, let's see if it leads to his sacrifice."

"Cecebeec: Hey there! Missed your review during the first training chapter. I'm glad you liked the abilities, and yeah I took many inspirational from different animes."

"Wickerstein: Yup. I watched the anime and played the first trilogy. Davis might take inspiration from most of the techniques from there, except for those that are done by more than one person or those who summon Freaking Stands (Fire Storm for example). I didn't thought of using Endo's technique for him, I was only going to use Goenji as a reference, or maybe Fubuki. Guess I'll think about it."

"Now, for the longest time I've wanted to make a new opening like how I used to on the first fic. I won't be using the original opening though, and I won't post it on any posterior chapters."

"The song is RWBY's seventh opening: Trust Love"

(As the guitar plays, a shot of four different places across the Digital World are shown. A volcano, a swamp, a tundra, and a shrine.)

"Keep dreaming 'bout a better world. You keep wishing for some clarity."

(The Digidestined are of Piximon's forest. The training grounds prepared to show off their abilities. The camera focusing on each of their faces, one by one.)

"Always hoping that a lightning bolt, is going to save you from the gravity"

(Their partners stand to the side, watching them expectantly)

"You're holding out for some romantic life

Maybe you'll wake up in a world of charm."

(Davis' stamp his right foot down, while rearing his left one to launch a ball of Nen. Yolei cuts down a tree with her Nen blade. Cody swings his Nen shinai. T.K shots his arms forward and his sleeves turn into strings. Kari takes down a tree with a single punch while covered in her Enhaced Nen.)

"Oh, but what's here can set you free

You don't have to dream"

(Ken draws new weapons on his book, and rips a page to summon a gun that he fired at the screen.)

"Your life's a masterpiece

If you just believe."

(The Digimon partners are shown, and behind them are the silhouettes of their Ultra Forms.)

"Then all you see is all you need."

(Oikawa smiles as he stares at his computer and starts typing)

"Right now, your hopes are shattered (Shattered)

Just pointless ever after."

(Arukenimon and Mummymon are shown, following the trail left behind by BlackWargreymon. BlackWargreymon himself is seen walking down a desert)

"But in time, you'll find

Through love, your power just shines"

(The Digidestined are standing in front of the door that lead them to the forest. The door opens and baths them with light. Killua smiles and closes his eyes as lightning covers him.)

"When you don't know where to turn to

And you're sure all hope is gone"

(Both Davis and Yolei leap from Exveemon and Aquilamon's back respectively. Davis launches a sphere to a fake Golemon, while Yolei cuts a Thundermon.)

"When the day you waited for won't come

And dark won't yield to dawn"

(Cody blocks the swing from a Knightmon with his shinai, and Ken shoots him with a tonfa to push it back. Ankylomon and Stigmon attack the Knightmon afterwards.)

"Trust love and open up your eyes."

(T.K immobilizes a Mammothmon and then Kari, Gatomon, and Angewomon strike it on the forehead)

"Trust love, the truth is there, but sometimes in disguise"

(Blademon charges at Killua with his sword. Killua and him exchange attacks, until they lock in a stalemate. Their blue eyes glaring at each other.)

"The way's uncertain but we're togetherMovin' toward the light"

(In the form of the silhouette with the backgrounds of their respect colors, all of the Digidestined use their techniques. In the order of: Kari, Davis, T.K, Yolei, Cody, and Ken)

"When we trust in love."

(All of the Digimon appear on their Champion form. The symbols of the Crests behind them.)

"And open up your eyes."

(Killua opens his eyes, arcs of electricity running along his body. The Digidestined standing at his sides and the Digimon behind them.)

With a groan, he introduced himself back into the world of the living. His blue eyes fluttering open and allowing a soft whine of pain to leave his body. "W-what?" He recoiled. His voice wasn't the same, it was high pitched.

"Good morning, Blademon. Or should I call you Toramon?" A familiar voice greeted him with warm.

He sat up and looked at the side, where a TV showed the image of a smiling man. "Mas...Ter?" He mumbled as he sat up.

"Careful my friend," Oikawa, his master, instructed. "While your injuries have healed, two days unconscious are going to give you some cramps."

Two days?

"I'm sorry, sir," Toramon coughed. His throat was dry. He sat up and walked to a small pond of clear water. He went to all fours and drank greedily.

As he looked away from the fountain, he saw his current appearance. He was small, his face resembling that of a tiger's cub, his white fur giving him a mop of hair stood out wildly. His feline eyes narrowed and he splashed the pond to get rid of the reflection. It brought up unpleasant memories, or rather memories he wished to forget.

"Toramon Digivolves to... SaberToramon! SaberToramon Ultra Digivolves to... Blademon!"

Now on his usual form, Blademon walked to stand in front of his master. He was lacking his usual cloak, having being destroyed on his fight against the weapon.

"Better?" Oikawa asked with a patient smile.

"Yes. Sorry for the wait, master," He said, bowing his head low. "What is the situation?"

"Eager to go back to the job? Mummymon was even kind enough to make you a new cloak." Oikawa gestured to a big piece of cloth folded neatly at the entrance of the cave. His head fell into his knuckles. "Right now Arukenimon and Mummymon are tracking BlackWargreymon," The image of the screen changed to a map showing a red dot moving along. "These are his current coordinates... However," His master appeared again, this time frowning. "I am displeased for how they've handled this situation."

"..." Blademon let out a sigh. "What have they done?"

Oikawa leaned back. "They're using resources. Too many of them to catch the weapon. Right now they're planning an ambush for him. Bring them here, we have to move on phase two."

Blademon draps the cloak around himself, covering his face with the hood. "How many?" He asked as he summoned his sword.

The scorching heat of the desert meant nothing to him. Neither did the unconscious bodies of the creatures that tried to defy him. None of them was able to sustain more than one hit from him, their bodies didn't exploded in data, only because he didn't wanted them to. They weren't worth the effort.

His footsteps echoed with booms around the area. His yellow eyes narrowing at the path of destruction he left behind. "There's nothing here..." He grumbled. "Nothing worth the effort."

It's been only two days since his creation. Yet only two people were able to actually able to stand up to him, and they hadn't appeared again. He felt... Felt empty. He needed something that will make him feel fulfilment.

He stopped on his tracks. Something was blocking his way. A pack of big Digimon, with marron fur, tusks, and large trunks. There was twenty of them, formed in five lines composed of four of them, they growled and roared at him, just like all the others he left behind. But these were different... He could feel some sort of connection to them.

There was a large plateau behind them, and on top of them were two familiar figures. He narrowed his eyes in anger and disdain.

"BlackWargreymon!" The woman in red called. "Come back to us, right now! Obey, you unruly child!"

"It took a lot of effort to find you!" The man in blue growled. "We had to use two hundred towers to form this army of Mammothmon! Two hundred!"

BlackWargreymon stared at the pack in front of him. While others got on his path before, it was always on single numbers, never as a group. His eyes narrowed, and if he could, he would have smiled. "Interesting... They could actually prove to be a challenge."

That didn't seemed to be the answer they were expecting. "HUH?!"

The army charged. The beast roaring and hooting from their trunks with primal fury. He stood perfectly still, merely shifting the position of his arms to ready his clawed gauntlets. The two buffoons from the mesa just stared expectantly.

The pack seemed to roll him over. With their numbers and size they would have trampled the artificial Digimon without a problem. The dust left behind by their stomps started to settle, and there he stood, in one piece. Not even a single speck of dust on his person.

"W-what just happened?" The man in blue asked. Scratching his head, looking completely lost.

Then it happened. The external appearance of a single line made of four Mammothmon got desintegrated, revealing the black structure that has given them form, then that interior cracked and crumbled into specks of dusts that got lost in the wind.

"Agh- Wha- No way!" The woman screeched.

"I can't believe it!" The man gaped. "He took out four Ultra Digimon without even moving! How?!"

BlackWargreymon turned around slowly. His eyes narrowed. He brought his gauntlets up and charged at them. The pack turned and charged as well, whether they were angry at the destruction of their comrades or not he could not tell. It didn't mattered in the end.

One by one, they got shredded by him. Their appearances breaking down and revealing their dark interior. None of them even able to land a single blow on the dragon.

At the top of the plateau, the woman's knees turned to jelly and she almost fell over if it wasn't for the man. "Oh no..." She bemoaned.

"Arukenimon! Hang in there!" The man said, taking out a paper fan and waving it on her face.

"M-my precious Control Towers! H-he's breaking them like paper!" She shivered and held a hand to her mouth. "My poor creations! My poor—Obedient!—Creations!"

Five more fell. There was only ten remaining. He charged forward and shredded one again. There was only nine remaining. But as he did, he started to realize something. 'I destroy them...'

He turned around and rammed his claws in two of them. Seven remaining. 'I feel the thrill of the battle...'

Three of them charged. He delivered a kick to one of them that sent it flying, landing with a heavy 'Thud' on the floor. He grabbed the second one by the horns and slammed him against the third one, he sent the one on his grasp in the air and when it descent he extended his hand and stabbed his head. Six remaining. 'They're not weak enemies...'

The one he kicked before tried to stand up, but he pinned him down with his foot. He turned to see the other four charging, maybe to kill him or to aid their comrade. 'Then why do I still feel empty?'

One tried to attack from behind, he turned and slashed him in half. Only five remaining, including the one beneath his foot. 'No... That isn't right. It's not emptiness... I feel...' He looked down. "Sad." He looked up at the sky. "I'm feeling sadness!" He roared in both confusion and frustration, his rivals stopping their charge to stare at him.

"Sadness?" The woman in red blinked, freeing herself from the man's arms to stare at his form. "Sadness you say..." She snorted, then giggled, and then laughed loudly. "Hahahahaha! Don't make me laugh, please! You're not feeling anything, you fool! You don't have a heart! That's merely an illusion!"

"... Illusion?" BlackWargreymon questioned. Stomping down the Digimon beneath his foot and crushing it down. Four remaining, all surrounding him.

"Like those that you've just destroyed, and many others, I created you with the Control Towers," The woman boasted, arms crossed beneath her chest. "You're a lifeless toy, and toys are not supposed to have feelings!"

BlackWargreymon's eyes narrowed and his fists clenched. He has already heard those words before, from the hooded Digimon that attacked him days ago.

"You were created to destroy... And nothing more."

He destroys, he enjoys the brief thrill a battle offers him, but afterwards... There's only emptiness, sadness. Why?

The woman didn't stopped talking, even as he reflected. "The reason you're feeling sad, or in other words why you have the illusion of sadness, is because when I collected the power of the hundred Control Towers a bug infested their, and therefore your, programing."

"A bug... In the program?" He questioned. Was that it? No, it couldn't be...

The other Mammothmon attacked him. He shook his head.

"So you're saying we're unanimated objects?" He asked. "Then I should feel relived!" He shot up to the sky and started spinning, bringing forth his Black Tornado attack. Most were able to dodge, leaving only one unfortunate creature to be destroyed. Three remained. He landed back and glared at the two people looking down on him. "But that's not the case. Therefore, I am suffering. Or is my suffering also an illusion?!" His voice was laced with both sarcasm and frustration.

The woman shrugged, the look on her face make it seem like she was just dealing with a kid throwing a tantrum. The man in blue stepped forward. "Now, now. If you want your suffering to end, there's different ways to do so."

"How?!" He barked, desperate to know.

"Abandon yourself and your free will, obey what you are told," The man's face, usually hidden by his turtleneck, could be seen. His wriggled skin, and sharp teeth pulled back into a sinister smile.

His response just earned a scoff from the Mega Digimon. "I won't obey someone who's weaker than me!"

"Why you little-" The man took a step forward, gripping his cane.

"Enough!" The woman barked, putting a hand in front of her companion. "Let me do the talking." She looked down at BlackWargreymon and scoffed back at him. "We won't listen to your petty provocations. Do as you wish! We don't need you anymore! We'll find a way to fullfil our plans!" She declared.

Both her and the man turned around, and walked away from his sight.

He could chase them. Destroy them. Squash them like bugs because of their tauntings, but that wouldn't solve anything. He wouldn't even receive the brief thrill he received briefly on each battle. He turned around to face the three remaining monsters. The all roared and charged without thinking.

"Are you truly mindless?" He asked them. "Do you have no heart, no life?" He received no response for them aside from roars that didn't even seemed to be born from anger, only from primal instinct. "Answer me!" He growled as he charged.

"ANSWER ME!" he roared in desperation.

Arukenimon folded her arms behind her head as she sighed. "A failure, that's what he is..."

"What should we tell the leader now?" Mummymon asked nervously. "Failure or not, BlackWargreymon is necessary for his plans."

The woman scoffed. "We will move on to the second phase. Create the other half, and this one will not get out of control."

"Umm, how can you be so sure?" Mummymon asked.

The woman slapped him across the head, and causing the car to swivel. "I just know you buffoon! Who's the brain here?!"

"Y-you are! I'm sorry!" He said, trying to get the car under control. "W-We still have to report to him, get new orders. And also check on-"

He was interrupted whem something suddenly crashed in front of them, making a sizeable crater. Mummymon pressed the breaks in time to avoid an accident. "-BLADEMON?!"

The hooded sweatshirt stood in front of them with an absolutely livid. "TWO HUNDRED TOWERS?! TO CAPTURE SOMETHING THAT IS WORTH HALF OF IT!?" He roared, his hands twitching and clearly restraining himself from summoning his sword. "YOU SHOULD HAVE GO AHEAD AND JUST CREATE THE SECOND HALF!"

"Do not talk to us like that Mister: "All I want is revenge!" If you hadn't knocked yourself out for two days, this wouldn't have been needed!" Arukenimon snapped back.

Blademon's hand twitched obviously wanting to summon his sword and cleave them in half. "You..." He growled. "You are lucky we still have enough towers for the second half, and that the master is forgiving enough!" He snapped. "He's ready to give us new orders," He said, climbing on the car's backseat.

"Hmm? You're coming with us?" Mummymon asked with curiosity.

"I am," He replied gruffly. "Master only instructed me to bring you back. Apparently he wants us all gathered when he gives us the debriefing."

The two Digimon in disguise exchanged looks. Wondering why their boss would call for all of them at once. It didn't took long for Arukenimon to get an idea, and she hummed in content. "So, the next phase will start soon."

"Yes," The hooded Digimon confirmed. "But you'll have to be more careful this time. We wouldn't want another failure like," He jerked his thumb back to where they left BlackWargreymon, "that."

Arukenimon sneered and him and then scoffed. "It won't happen again."

"It better not," Blademon warned. He went quiet for a while before coughing on his fist. "Mummymon?"

"Hmm? Yeah?"

"... Thanks for the cloak," He said awkwardly and looking away.

"Aww, shucks it was nothing-" He glowed at the recognition, until Arukenimon nudge him on the ribs. "Ufff!"

"Drive. Now." Arukenimon ordered.

"Yes Ma'am!"

The car drove off again, leaving a trail of dust behind. Unbeknownst to any of them, someone was listening to their conversation.

Tentomon slowly came out of the rock and gulped. "This can't be good..."

BlackWargreymon cleaved through the body of another Mammothmon, now two of them remained. They circled around him like predators, ready to charge, to continue with a fruitless battle only because that's what they've been ordered to do.

BlackWargreymon glared at them. "Why? Why can't you answer my questions?!" He asked again, even though he knew he won't receive an answer.

The two remaining monsters just continued to roar. Not even understanding what he was saying. BlackWargreymon sighed in defeat. "I envy you... Why, why don't you feel anything?" He asked again. "Why do I?"

One of the Mammothmon was able to tackle him, pushing his body across the area with tremendous effort despite being larger than him. BlackWargreymon growled and grabbed it by the tusks. He kicked it in the chin, disconnecting it from the floor, and rammed his claws on its chest. The monster roared in pain and his body was reduced to dust.

BlackWargreymon turned to face the last one remaining. The beast, like all the others, roared in defiance. No other meaning behind it. It wasn't anger for its fallen comrades, or out of pride to prove its superiority. It was merely because it was programmed that way.

As it charged, BlackWargreymon spotted something between himself and his opponent—Wildflowers. Somehow, in the middle of this dry desert, wildflowers bloomed.

And they were about to be squashed by his opponent.

His body moved without thinking. He leaped over the flowers and protect them with his body. The Mammothmon, or the towers that resembled a Mammothmon, took the chance to attack him. It stomped his back repetitively in an attempt to harm him, to destroy him.

Its attempts were ignored.

BlackWargreymon's focus was solely on the flowers. He didn't know why he moved to protect them. They were insignificant, a green parch in a brown sea of sand. They had no meaning, no reason to be...

Just like him...

And like him they were threatened to be stomped by this monster. Something that was supposed to be like him, but that was completely different.

It angered him. All of it, it angered him.

He pushed the Mammothmon off his back and delivered a spin kick that sent it away from the flowers. His body elevated from the ground as he cusped his hands together. "TERRA DESTROYER!"

The last of the mammoths was destroyed. Vaporized in a blaze of fire.

BlackWargreymon's feet touched the floor, he turned around to watch the flowers again. His eyes narrowed. "Why did I defend them?"

Because they were like him?

"No... That's not right," He growled. "You are alive, but you have no mind. I envy you... I envy you!" He declared with anger. "Why... Why do I have to feel?!"

His foot stomped the flowers down, grinding them against the ground.

Immediately he felt a pang of regret from the action. "Why... They were mere wildflowers... Why should I feel this way?" He pondered while he closed his eyes shut. Why is he feeling this way? What was the source of this pain? "The heart..."

That woman mentioned he didn't have it. But if he did, if she was wrong... Then that was the heart.

"Where is it... Where is the heart? What even is a heart?" He opened his eyes and stared into his hands. Trying to figure out an answer that can help him ease the pain a bit.

He knew he wouldn't find anything there, he got up and walked away. Leaving nothing behind.

Gathered on Tai's room, the two Kamiya siblings, Gatomon, and Killua gathered around the computer. Tentomon was on the screen of the Digiport program, while Izzy was on speaker on the phone.

"So it's true then," Killua said, crossing his arms. "There's someone above, what Ken said was true..."

"I'm pretty sure of what I heard," Tentomon shrugged. "Apparently they're planning something new, and big."

Kari sighed. "Four months of training, and when we come back on our free day, this happens," It was Sunday, usually a day of rest for the team.

"We need a way to track them, right?" Tai said. "We don't want you to keep yourself in danger by following them. Someone has to keep an eye on the program to know where they'll strike."

"I'm the man for the job then," Izzy said over the phone. "I will keep an eye on various zone on the direction where they went off, accordingly to Tentomon. And if I see any activity on their part then I'll tell you all."

"You're a lifesaver, man," Tai chuckled.

Killua was bitting his thumb in deep thought as the conversation went by. He looked at Tentomon with worry. "What about BlackWargreymon? Any news on him?"

"W-well... I... He was actually pretty close to where I was," He replied nervously.

"WHAT?!" Everyone yelped, Izzy's voice being the loudest despite being over the phone.

"It's okay! I moved away so I could contact you guys!" He said, fidgeting with his claws.

"Alright, good," Killua said, exhaling. "Stay out of his way for now, until we can make a plan to confront him."

"Umm..."

Everyone stopped and looked at the insect. "What is it?" Killua asked, voice slowly coming out on a deadpan.

Tentomon seemed to be thinking on what to say next, before he took a breath and spoke. "Agumon is looking to talk to him..."

"WHAT?!" The voice came solely from Tai, who went as far as to push Killua out of the chair.

"HEY!"

"Why would he do that!?" Tai asked, worry overtaking him. "It's dangerous! We don't know what that guy will do!"

"That's the thing," Tentomon said. "Despite being on his own for days, there hasn't been any form of destruction or mass panic. He hasn't done anything destructive."

"Really? Nothing?" Kari was surprised to hear that in all this time he hasn't tried anything. Then she shook her head, reminding herself that it's been only a couple of days for them, and not four months. 'But still...'

"He becomes more and more of an enigma, each time," Killua groused out as he stood up. "First he lets us go, and then he stays low."

"Yeah. Agumon thinks he can talk with him, specially since all his evolutions are a form of Greymon," Tentomon explained.

"Geez, what is he thinking?!" Tai asked, taking out his goggles to fix his hair. "He's making me worry for him."

"Tree doesn't fall far from the tree, huh?" Izzy muttered from the other side.

"Izzy you're still on speaker," Killua told him on a dry tone.

"I know," He said, equally dry.

"Focus, please!" The older Kamiya pleaded, as he looked back at the screen. "Do you know where he is? Or where is he expecting to encounter BlackWargreymon?"

"Dunno," The insect said with a shrug. "But you can always check on your Digivice. Or on the grid map."

The boy blinked and dug into his pocket, taking out the old generation Digivice. "Right..."

"You're still worried about him, aren't you?" Killua asked, noticing his frown.

Tai nodded, not taking his eyes of the Digivice. He had the same worried look from when Agumon was captured by the Emperor.

"Alright," Killua said, looking at the boy. "Here's what we'll do. Your parents are out for supper, if they come back tell them I went jogging or to visit the others. Sent me there, I'll look for Agumon and make sure nothing happens to him. Izzy can you tell where Agumon is right now?"

"Already sent the coordinates to Kari's terminal!" The redhead said helpfully.

Just in time, the terminal beeped. Kari looked at it and then moved the mouse to locate the section of the map. "Yup, there he is," She said, pointing to an orange dot on the map.

"I'll stick close to him, so if you need to pull me out you know where to find me," He said.

"And... If you cross with BlackWargreymon?" Kari asked nervously, looking at his hands and remembering how badly they got burned after their encounter.

"I'll see how things play out for now," He said, using Zetsu and making the siblings do a double take at his lack of presence. "If it gets out of hand and Agumon does need my help, I'll hold that guy off while Agumon goes for help."

"Okay, if you're sure..." She didn't sound completely convinced, but allowed her leader to go through with it. "Do be careful though!" She added with more intent.

"Right," He said with a small eye-roll. He turned to Tai. "Don't worry, I'll drag him back to keep him safe if I have to."

Tai smiled and opened his mouth to thank him, but refrained himself remembering Killua's rule about thanks. "I'll hold you on to that," He said.

Killua nodded and Kari pointed her Digivice to the computer. "Digiport Open!"

With a flash, the Hunter was gone.

Arukenimon and Mummymon kept their heads low as their master watched them from the TV on the cave. Blademon stood to the side, leaning against a wall, watching them get chewed out. "I would normally punish you gravely, for the misuse of the Control Towers. Not only did you wasted a great number of them, but in the end you failed to obtain the first half of the weapon."

"Forgive us, sir, we just wanted to make things right for you," Arukenimon said, inwardly seething at being called out.

"The weapon has proven to be too risky to bring over to our side as of yet," Oikawa said, as he linked his fingers together in front of his mouth. "For now let's leave him have his illusion of freedom, when the time come we'll find a way to force him back with us. For now, it's time to move to the next phase."The screen went to static and showed four different locations. A volcano, a freezing tundra, a foggy swamp, and a shrine at the top of a mountain. "This will be your next targets."

"Those are...?" Mummymon trailed off.

"Long ago," Oikawa started. "On the Digital World, existed four Digimon with great powers that protected this world for a long time. However, when the Dark Masters appeared, this beings were sealed away and their powers drained. When the Dark Masters were defeated five years ago, the influence that kept them sealed slowly started to fade away. But thanks to our Control Towers, the dark forces had kept their grip on them, forcing them to stay asleep." He looked at them with a serious look on his face. "That has to stay that way. So they won't interfere. We have enough with the Digidestined as it is."

"So we just have to destroy those places?" Arukenimon asked, smiling. "Sounds easy."

"Sound is the right word, my dear," Oikawa said. "Those places are more resistant that one might think. Protected by holy powers, an mere Ultimate wouldn't be able to scratch them... A Mega however."

The three of them tensed. "Master, that's why you want to bring forth the second half?" Blademon asked.

"Ideally, the first half would have been enough," The man said with a sigh. "But since he is behaving like an unruly child, we'll have to sadly move on," He said, feigning sadnesses. He looked at Blademon. "But that doesn't mean said child should go ignored. Blademon, keep an eye on him, make sure he doesn't destroy more towers. Go now," The screen changed to show the rogue Digimon's location. "Here's his location."

"Yes sir!" He said, eager to serve. He summoned his sword and dashed away from the cave.

"Err... Sir?" Mummymon said, after watching the hooded Digimon go. "Not to sound disrespectful but... How are sure the second half won't go rogue like BlackWargreymon did?"

Oikawa didn't responded, instead he extended his palm and concentrated. They couldn't see it, but he was concentrating his aura on the palm of his hand. Slowly, the aura took the form of a black sphere, no bigger than a seed. He let it levitate on his hand and with his free hand he grabbed an glass jar and put it inside, closing the lid. "Mummymon, come here."

The blue cladded Digimon walked to the screen, he put a hand on the screen and was sent back to the office of their boss.

On the other side, Oikawa handed the jar containing the sphere to the blue cladded Digimon. "That is my ability: The Evil Spore. Use it on the second half, as soon as it is formed. It will override any part of its mind, leaving only what I desired to be left. It will also give him a boost on its natural strength when it needs it." He shook his head. "Oh. Sorry, Arukenimon, you already know right. You saw me use it before."

Arukenimon smirked. "But of course sir," She chuckled.

"Ummm, I don't know about it, sir. Sounds a bit too good to be true," Mummymon said sheepishly, scratching his head as he observed the spor on the jar. "And wouldn't it be better in that case to use it on BlackWargreymon?"

"Can you get close enough to implant it on him?" Oikawa asked with a dry tone. The blue man didn't responded and looked actually flustered. "And true, it is a perfect skill to control someone. But it has its drawbacks, if faced with a reality shock, something that contradicts what I inserted in them, then the spore lose its hold on the host and reverses them back to normal. It's what happened with our little Emperor. He realized Digimon were not only programs, but living beings, and the hold from my spore was lost. The same will happen if they use the boost it offers, all that power takes a toll."

A flash of light and Mummymon was back on the cave with Arukenimon, the jar on his hands. "And... How can we make sure that won't happen with the second weapon?" He asked.

Oikawa chuckled. "With the effect I gave this particular spore, that won't happen~" He said, speaking like a professor. "I gave you enough tools to win. Destroying those locations means stopping this 'Guardians' from escaping their eternal dream. I wish you the best of lucks... Do not fail me."

"We won't fail you sir," They both salutated.

The screen went black and they exited the cave. Mummymon making sure the jar is secure under his coat, while Arukenimon had a thoughtful look. "The master's skill... It's been a long time since I saw it in action."

"You've seen it before Arukenimon?" Mummymon asked, adjusting his clothes to hide the glass.

"Once," She confirmed.

"Did Blademon saw it too?" The mummy asked, as they walked around the cave.

Arukenimon was silent for a moment before shrugging. "In a manner of speaking," She said. "But enough chit-chat. We have a task to do."

They walked further into the snowed territory. Ahead of them, was a plethora of Control Towers, all waiting to be used.

Mummymon gulped nervously. "I hope this works. Dealing with BlackWargreymon is bad enough."

"Have some faith, Mummymon. If not in me, then on the master," Arukenimon said, taking off her hat.

"But of course, Arukenimon!" He swooned as he grabbed her hat.

"... Desintegrating Hair!" She floated in the air and launched a hundred needles towards the towers. They sank in and slowly the towers started to raise from the ground. Gathering in the center to start molding her newest creation. When the form was almost done, she turned to her associate. "Mummymon, the spore!"

Mummymon took out the lid of the jar and let the spore fly into the back of the neck of the artificial Digimon that was recently created. It sank in like a needle from Arukenimon's hair would.

The new Mega was slowly lowered into the floor. Its head bowed and unresponsive.

The two exchanged looks of uncertainty. "Is it alive?" Mummymon asked.

Arukenimon frowned and walked to her creation. "Hey! Can you hear me?" She asked it.

Its eyes snapped open. Revealing a pair of yellow, unfocused eyes. It blinked and looked around, before sitting down on its rear. "Mrrrgg..." It grumbled.

Its two creators blinked and exchanged looks, before Mummymon finally spoke with a shrug. "I think he looks better than BlackWargreymon."

"Maybe," Arukenimon said, crossing her arms. "Stay here, until we call you."

The two walked away, but heard heavy footsteps behind them. The Digimon had sat up and was following them.

Arukenimon clicked her tongue. "Didn't you heard me?! Stay here!"

The Digimon didn't seemed to listen, it scratch its head and yawned.

"Do you even understand what I'm saying?!" The woman snapped.

Mummymon watched the exchange, his lips pressed on a thin line, in deep thought. He walked forward and put a hand on Arukenimon's shoulder. "Let me try, dear."

"Fine!" She spat. "And don't call me that!"

The man in blue walked in front of the Digimon and smiled kindly. "Boy... Sit!"

The Digimon sat on his rear.

Arukenimon gaped.

"Roll over."

The Digimon rolled and sat back up.

Mummymon extended his hand. "Shake!"

The Digimon put a limb on the extended palm.

Mummymon grinned smugly as he deciphered the kind of behavior the boss implanted on their creation. He turned to Arukenimon. "Let's get back in the car, you can control them at a distance right?"

She nodded, still in shock that Mummymon had figure out how to keep the artificial Digimon under control.

"Alright then, we can go, we'll find that area and then we'll call our new friend there," He said, whistling as he walked towards the car. Then he heard the footsteps. "Oh, no you. You sit."

It sat on its rear.

"Good boy!"

It's been two hours since Izzy spoke with the Kamiya siblings and Killua about the current status on the Digital World. He kept his promise of keeping an eye on the port to monitor any unusual activity. Guard duty was about as one would think.

As he went over some notes from school, he noticed something from the corner of his eye. "Hmm?"

Something zoomed past one of the screens available from the port. Izzy put his notes aside and started typing. His eyes widened as he caught a better glimpse of what caused the movement. Their enemies were on the move.

Arukenimon and Mummymon were on their car, although he thought Greymon had destroyed it, and were heading towards the north. "What are they planning now...?" He muttered. "Either way, better to tell them."

He typed a message to Kari and so she spreads it to the others.

Izzy frowns and clicks another tab. This one showing the orange dot that represents Agumon. However they were heading east. 'We have no way of telling him about this. The others might just pick him up before going, that... If Agumon doesn't get in trouble with this idea of his...' He thought with a sigh.

SMACK!

With a groan, Davis entered his room. "Dear God... Why do you punish me this way?" He moaned, sporting a red mark with form of a palm on his face.

He had only wanted to spend his Sunday relaxing, chilling, play his videogames and then practice his Nen like a badass! But nooooo, his sister had to come in and nag him about things.

First that she envies him because something or other, maybe because he was awesome. Second she starts talking about how a pimple means Matt was in love with her. And then that he had to heard him so she unplugged his videogame and then slapped him!

He can't believe he actually missed her on those four months. Can he go back to being on costant pain by Sparky's training?

"Oi Davith!" Demiveemon called, running up to him, terminal in hand. "Message from Kari!"

And the others don't believe that girl is an angel.

"Let's see..." He said, grabbing the small computer. He frowned for a moment as he read it. "So Arukenimon is back on action, huh?" He grinned down to his partner. "Guess it's time to show what we learned, right pal?!" He asked eagerly, clenching his fists and letting aura flow. His parents where off to his grandparents house, so he had the chance to sneak off.

"Alright!" The small Digimon jumped high.

Ken was working on making a new book full of weapons, in case the one he usually summoned ran out of pages or got destroyed in battled, while Minomon was hanging on his ceiling by a string, when he received the message from Kari.

Arukenimon is on the move. She is heading north. In case you want to come.

-Kari K.

Had this being four months ago, or yesterday he supposed, he would have been doubtful about going. Even if it meant capturing the woman that holds answers about the reason he turned in the Emperor.

But now, after aiding them on their training. And with the events of BlackWargreymon and that dark world, he felt that he was actually... Accepted on the group. It didn't erased what he did in the past, but he's feel like this is the right direction.

"Minomon," He said, getting up. "We need to go."

"Alright!" The small Digimon said, unsticking from the ceiling and landing on his partner's arms.

A flash of light later, they were gone.

"Good thing the car has all terrain tires!" Mummymon boasted as they rode through the swamp.

"The objective is up ahead," Arukenimon said. "If we destroy it, funny things will happen!"

"Do you have the connection with our little friend?" He grinned at her. Eager to use their new weapon.

"I do," She said. "But I want to test if what the master said is true. I wouldn't want their first task to be boring..." She said, taking ten strands of her hair and throwing them to the wind.

Ten towers were hit and they all melted together and took the form of a knight Digimon, as tall as Exveemon. "Follow us, Knightmon! We're going to have fun!"

The fake Knightmon ran behind the car, somehow managing to keep up with it. They drove farther into the swamp where their target awaits.

The sky took on an orange color as the sun slowly began its descent. BlackWargreymon's eyes stayed on the floor as he continued his aimless path, questions bouncing on his head.

What was the heart? What was he supposed to do with it? Why did he have it? Did he have it, or his pain was because of something else?

"I found you!" A small voice called in front of him.

He raised his head and noticed a small, orange reptile staring at him with a smile. "I've been looking for you!"

"Me?" BlackWargreymon's eyes narrowed. Everyone who had look for him seeked to control him. "What do you want from me?"

"I'll decide that when we're done talking to each other," The reptile answered with an easygoing smile. "Oh, and I'm Agumon by the way. Nice to meet you."

BlackWargreymon didn't dropped his guard. He eyes this Agumon with suspicion, in case he tried anything against him, like others have.

"See... When I evolve, I turn into all sorts of Greymon," Agumon explained. "There's Greymon, MetalGreymon, and then VictoryGreymon. But I've never seen a Greymon like you, so I guess I was a bit curious to see how you were."

So they shared similar names. Although this "evolution" thing eludes him. BlackWargreymon tilted his head and eyed him curiously. "Were you born from Control Towers too?"

"Err... No, I was born from a Digi-egg a while ago," Agumon responded.

BlackWargreymon sighed. "Then there's no use for us to talk..." He said, feeling disappointment and walking past the small Digimon. Agumon watched him, his eyes reflecting the sentiment

Felling... Disappointment... Sentiment... Heart.

BlackWargreymon stopped and turned around. "No... I do want to talk. Maybe you can answer my questions."

"Questions?" Agumon blinked and tilted his head.

From afar, behind a rock. A mop of white hair peeked to see the two of them. Killua kept an ear on those two to make sure Agumon wasn't in any danger.

And from miles away, another set of blue eyes kept a look on the obsidian Digimon.

Kari and Davis were the first of the group to made it to the point where their enemies were moving. They followed them through the air on Nefertimon and Exveemon's back respectively.

The car eventually reached an old looking temple made of rock. Vines and moss covering it entirely. From behind the car a Digimon resembling a knight stepped forward and started swinging his sword at the walls of the temple, trying to break them.

"Who's that?" Davis asked. "And is it trying to do?"

"That is a Knightmon, or Control Towers pretending to be one," Nefertimon answered.

"Towers? Plural?" Exveemon asked, his eyes narrowing on the knight Digimon.

"Knightmon are Ultimate Digimon," Nefertimon informed. "We shouldn't engage him directly. At least not until the others arrive."

Kari frowned. What a bad time for their leader to be on his own solo mission for this. "What is it doing anyway? Training his sword?"

"Or trying to break the temple," Exveemon offered. "But why? What's so special about this place?

Nefertimon frowned behind her mask and hummed in thought. "I don't know but..."

Kari leaned to look at her partner's face. "What is it?"

"I can feel something emanating from this temple. It's weak, but it is a good sensation," She answered, looking intently at the temple.

"So the bad guys want to destroy a place that emanates good vibes?" Exveemon asked and then he huffed. "Typical."

"We can look at what this place is later, maybe ask Gennai about it too," Kari said. "But for now we can't let them get away with this."

Davis nodded. While he would have liked to do this mission all alone with Kari, seeing that Killua wasn't around for his own reasons, this mission came first. "I'll keep an eye on what they're doing. You go and wait for T.C and the others to arrive, then when we're together we can put what we learned to practice," He said, letting his aura flow around him.

Kari nodded. "Alright, I won't take long. I promise!" She said as she and Nefertimon turned around and flew towards the nearest port.

Davis nodded back and watched her go. He turned around to glare at the knight and the two responsible for their creation. He might not know what this temple is for, but like hell he was going to let them get away with destroying it.

Killua leaned against a rock as he watched Agumon converse with BlackWargreymon, almost in complete disbelief. His mind trying to wrap over the fact that the creature that a few days ago was their most dangerous opponent, was now asking a question like what is the heart.

He watched as Agumon pondered the question over on his head, and BlackWargreymon sat patiently as the smaller Digimon formulated an answer. 'I knew he wasn't completely mindless. But I thought that would make him more dangerous and yet... Here he is. Sitting calmly like a student waiting for an answer from a teacher.'

There was more to this artificial Digimon than Killua thought. He pondered his next course of action, while Agumon finally spoke.

"The heart... Well I guess it's here," he pressed his hands on his chest. "Or maybe here..." He brought his hands to his head. He looked apologetically at BlackWargreymon. "I'm sorry, I don't know where it is."

"So you don't know either," His tone was neutral, but hints of disappointment could be heard. "You are a creature that possess a heart. Does it exist, or is merely an illusion?"

He was obviously asking about the metaphorical terms of the heart. If he was asking about the biologist one then the answer would be no, he doesn't have a heart, under his body there's just a bunch of Control Towers molded into his form.

'But what about the rest?' Killua pondered. 'That's just the body, but what about his mind? ... If he's asking these questions then his mind doesn't revolve around what Arukenimon and Mummymon want.'

"It is not an illusion!" Agumon said with heat on his voice and a frown on his face. "The sensation you have when you spend times with those you care about, or to trust in somebody close to you are never an illusion!"

"Then tell me, what is the function of the heart?" BlackWargreymon asked, obviously wanting to try from another angle. To obtain answers he was desperate to find.

"For a Digimon to be a Digimon, and for a human to be a human!" The smaller reptile declared.

"But I am an object. How could someone like me have a heart?" The artificial Digimon asked back.

Killua's frown deepened. Those words hit close to home for him. 'If you're an object, then why are you questioning yourself?' He wanted to ask. He turned around and observed the two.

Agumon wasn't in danger. If BlackWargreymon was as dangerous as they thought, then he would have lashed out violently at Agumon for not answering his questions properly.

Killua clenched his fists and took a deep breath. His decision made.

Meanwhile Agumon looked down. "Those are really hard questions you're making..." He said, scratching his head. He crossed his arms and hummed in thought. "Hmmm... Because, because..."

"... Because?" The bigger being asked, wanting the answer.

"... Sorry," Agumon scratched his head. "Mind repeating the question?"

The wind blew and even without features beyond his eyes, BlackWargreymon found himself deadpanning at the smaller creature.

"You are alive. That's without a question."

They both turned to see Killua emerging from behind the rocks. Agumon blinked in surprise. "Killua?"

From a few miles away. Blue eyes narrowed.

BlackWargreymon's eyes narrowed and he got up in a battle stance. "You. Have you come to fight again?"

Killua raised his hands in a defensive manner. "No. I came here to talk. I heard your conversation. Maybe I can offer input as well."

"How did you know we were here?" Agumon asked him.

"Tentomon told us of your plan, and Tai got worried. Wanted someone to watch your back," He said, giving him a light punch on the shoulder.

"Hehe, guess I'll talk to him later," Agumon said sheepishly.

"You said I was alive," BlackWargreymon interrupted. The two turned to him as he give them an inquisitive look. "What did you meant by that?"

"I meant what you heard," Killua shrugged. "If you're here, questioning your being, then isn't that a proof that you have a mind of your own, a life?"

"And what about the heart? Do you know what it is?" He asked back.

Killua cupped his chin and hummed. "I guess there's no a definitive answer," He said. "Everyone can have their own ideas. But if I had an answer then... The heart is what gives us life."

"... How so?" BlackWargreymon continued to ask.

"Well, if we talk biologically then the heart pumps blood, and that allows the body to work. But if we talk on metaphors, it's what gives us sentiments. Even the most basic ones," Killua explained. "If you're feeling confusion about what you are, isn't that a proof that you have a heart?"

BlackWargreymon pondered the answer and sat down. "But why? I am alive, I'm different from a beast. But why? What is the advantage I receive from having a heart?"

"Advantage?" Agumon pondered. He crossed his arms and looked at Killua, the boy nodded his head towards the artificial Digimon, gesturing Agumon to give his own response. The orange reptile gave a toothy smile. "To have friends!"

"Friends?"

"Yup. You have a heart, you are not an object, you're like all of us. Like me, like him," He pointed to Killua. "Therefore you can have friends."

Killua smiled. For a while, small as it was, that was his goal too. To be friends with Gon and 'be normal'. He looked to the side and pressed his lips. 'Although. I don't think that will satisfy him.' He thought, looking at BlackWargreymon.

"Friends...?" He looked to the side. His eyes still troubled. "But what if I want more than that?"

"More than having friends? Like what?" Agumon asked, frowning a bit.

"I don't know," He answered.

"What'cha mean you don't know?" Agumon asked, sitting down and staring at him in confusion.

"I know I don't need stuff like money or fame, but I don't want to just have friends and leave it like that. I want something more... More important. I want... I want..."

"A purpose," Killua said, sitting next to Agumon. "You want a purpose."

"... Yes. That's exactly right. A purpose. A purpose beyond what others want for me," BlackWargreymon said, looking down at his hands and clenching his fists. "What I can do in this world, what I should do. I enjoy fighting with others, with strong beings."

He thought back to the fight with those Mammothmon and how he allowed himself to he stomped by one of them to protect some wildflowers.

"But my heart prevents me from focusing on that task," He said, clenching his fists in frustration. "I... I don't want to have a heart!"

His voice carried a strong conviction, born out of confusion and frustration. He prefers to be empty and continues with his ways, than to continue to have thoughts that bring him pain. All of them born from the heart.

"So that's how it is?" Killua asked. "All you want to do is fight and fight? Without any end goal? What will you do when there's no one else to challenge?"

BlackWargreymon looked down at him and gave a nod. "What else could I do? Is what I was created, right? What other purpose could I serve?"

"You won't know if you have a mind as closed as yours," Killua said, sitting up and giving him a small glare. "That road is the one those two would want you to follow. Is that what you want? To prove them right?"

BlackWargreymon didn't answered. He just looked away in frustration. "Then what others purpose will I have?! What can this heart do for me!?"

"Many things," Killua said, looking down. "Your purpose has to be your own. You can't let others influence in what you want to do. If you enjoy the thrill of fighting then put your heart into it, use it to make you feel alive. To leave it, would truly make you an object... A puppet. Is that what you want?"

BlackWargreymon didn't responded at first, he closed his eyes and clenched his fists. "No..."

"What you want isn't entirely wrong, but you can't focus solely on it," Killua said. "Having a goal is fine, but you also have to think about the road in between."

"In between?" BlackWargreymon opened his eyes and stared at him.

"Like, what will you do before having a fight," Killua explained. "Explore different places, train, I don't know if you can eat but that's an option too. To be alive is more than to have a purpose, is to enjoy that life and every thing that happens between you and your goal. So that you can look back and be happy for what you did to reach it. And for that you need your heart."

His own goal was to find a purpose. And he found it in the end with Alluka and Nanika. But that doesn't mean he would forget everything he lived with Gon and both generations of Digidestined. Thanks to those experiences he lived is that he can be the brother, and family, his sisters needed.

If it wasn't for Gon, he wouldn't have tried to live a more correct life, only using his skills as an assassin when needed. If it wasn't for the Digidestined, he wouldn't have found the strength to pull the needle his brother put on his head, which allowed him to have his own free will.

BlackWargreymon looked down. "... That sounds like a fool's life."

"So is renounce to your heart," Agumon fired back. "Is no coincidence that you have one, it's ridiculous that you want to abandon it just to fight when you can do it with one as well."

"I think in the end, the question you have to do is... What do you want to do with your heart?" Killua asked.

BlackWargreymon frowned and looked up at the sky, that was slowly turning dark. "... Myabe... To live a fool's life," He looked down at the boy. "What is your name?"

"Killua. Killua Zoldyck."

"He is a good friend of mine," Agumon said, smiling at the boy. Then he turned to BlackWargreymon. "And maybe you can be one too," He extended his hand. "What do you say?"

BlackWargreymon looked at his claw and extended it towards the small Digimon's hand.

Killua smiled, maybe BlackWargreymon could be an ally for them. His strength would help them against Arukenimon, and whoever is above her and Mummymon.

But before the two dragons could stretch hands, BlackWargreymon tensed and he sat up. "Huh?!"

"Umm... What is it?" Agumon asked in concern.

BlackWargreymon looked around wildly. His whole body shaking and his eyes wide. 'This... This sensation. It feels like... Like...'

"Hey, are you okay?" Killua asked, ready to act in case the Digimon suddenly went nuts.

BlackWargreymon stopped looking around. His eyes settling on the north. His pupilsdilate and his fists clenched around the straps of his Dramon Killers. He extended his wings and flew off, leaving both Killua and Agumon confused.

"Where are you going?! Come back!" Agumon called, feeling worry for the artificial being.

Killua narrowed his eyes. "Something must he happening there. I'll follow him, you find a TV to communicate with the others!" He took off running after he said that.

He didn't get that far however.

A blast of sharp energy suddenly cut the path of the boy, forcing him to stop on his tracks. A cloud of sand was lifted and he was forced to cover his eyes.

When it died down and he regained his vision, his eyes narrowed in annoyance. "You again?!" He growled.

Behind him Agumon gasped. "The Reaper!"

Blademon stood in front of the hunter. His blue eyes shining beneath the hood. "It finally left," He grumbled as he summoned his sword. "Had I engaged while that thing was still around, then I wouldn't have stood a chance."

"Thing...? You mean BlackWargreymon?!" Killua asked, feeling more annoyed at the hooded Digimon at how he referred to BlackWargreymon.

"Feeling sympathy for a weapon?" Blademon asked. "Rich coming from you," He summoned his sword and pointed to him. "I can't let this chance pass. No friends, no weapon, only a weak Rookie unable to evolve. Time for you to die, Killua."

Killua growled and sharpened his claws. "I'm tired of you! Tired of you wanting to kill me and not even telling me the reason! You're just repeating yourself, and it's getting boring and annoying! So yeah. Let's end this now."

The Reaper's eyes glowed red and his smile stretched unnaturally.

Killua's Nen shrouded him and his fingers twitched and cracked.

Agumon just gulped nervously, as he felt the pressure the two emanated.

As he looked at the form of the Digimon that has dedicated every opportunity to kill him, Killua realized that he was right. Unless Agumon sneaks away to tell the others about what was happening, there was no getting out of this fight.

For better of for worst, he felt, this was going to be the last clash between him, the Hunter, and the Reaper.

While Killua and Agumon were talking with BlackWargreymon, the events on the temple of the swamp on the north were starting to unravel.

Knightmon continued to give swings to the temple, to no avail. Its sword seemed to be the one about to give in and not the walls of the temple.

Arukenimon clicked her tongue. "So it's true, an Ultimate can't destroy this place."

"Do we call it then?" Mummymon asked, grinning beneath his turtleneck.

Before Arukenimon could respond, a voice exclaimed from behind. "X-Laser!"

A blast in the form of an X impacted against the back of Knightmon, sending him flying against the walls of the temple.

The two Digimon turned around to see all the Digidestined arriving on their partner's back, Ken included amongst them. T.K and Cody, like Kaei, were on their partners' armored forms, while Yolei was riding Aquilamon.

"Of course you would come to be a nuisance!" Arukenimon growled.

"Hey pot, name's kettle," Davis snarked back as he climbed down Exveemon's back.

"What are you doing here? What do you want with this temple?" Cody asked, his hands ready to grasp the handle of his shinai.

"That! Is our business only!" Mummymon said. "You kids still own me for my last car!"

Both of them shredded their disguises. Taking their combat forms, while Knightmon stood in between them, sword at the ready.

T.K frowned. They had two Ultras at their side if Ken and Yolei used their Crests, but their opponents are tree. Individually they can only beat Champions with their Nen... But together... "Guys listen. While our partners take on Knightmon we will split between Arukenimon and Mummymon."

"I'll go for Arukenimon," Ken said, summoning his book.

"Same here, please," Cody said, his shinai forming around his hands.

Davis cracked his knuckles. "I also want a chance at that witch!" He said, his aura focusing on his feet.

T.K nodded and turned to see Mummymon's hand on the trigger, ready to shoot his blast. "Kari, Yolei, I'll give you an opening for you to attack him."

Both girls nodded, Yolei brought her hands up and the aura around her hands turned a greenish blue color. Kari frowned, it was getting late, so her ability wasn't going to be as effective as the others, but she wasn't going to let it stop her. Her aura flared up and got on a combat stance.

The two villains flinched as they sensed the energy coming from the children. "What are they...?" Arukenimon trailed off.

"They feel like the Anomaly when he gets serious!" Mummymon said, blinking rapidly.

The spider woman growled. "Who cares if they learned new tricks?! We won't let them get in our way. Spider Thread!"

She launched her twin wips from the jewels on her hands, but everyone dodge and moved to the side, flanking the two. While the Digimon all flew back, taking advantage of their avian features.

Knightmon jumped, despite his heavy armor and took a swing at Exveemon. The blue Digimon leaned back, the edge of the sword missing him by mere inches.

"Equis Beam!" Pegasusmon launched his green laser at the side of the enemy. The impact sent the knight crashing down to the floor.

It jumped back to his feet in an instant however, and took out a second sword to fight with a double wielding style. The Digidestined's Digimon all surrounded him and narrowed their eyes, ready to add another pack of Control Towers to the destroyed list.

Back near the temple, the Digidestined fought their own battle.

Davis propelled himself in the air and spun around while Nen gathered on his left foot. 'How about this for a name!' He thought as he launched a red ball of Nen towards the woman. "Fire Tornado!"

Arukenimon crossed her arms to block the attack. The ball exploded, creating a curtain of smoke upon contact and caused her some small burns, but otherwise she was unharmed. 'These brats...' She sneered. 'They can use those powers now?!'

From the smoke someone charged. She looked up to see the youngest of the group wanting to strike her with a shinai. She raised an arm and caught the weapon with her left hand, but even then she felt a sharp pain course through her palm as she did so. 'What was-?!'

She didn't get the chance to finish that line of thought, as from behind Ken summoned an electric baton and slammed her into her back while Cody dismissed his weapon to free himself from her grasp. "ARRRRRGH!" She screamed in agony as electricity rammed her body.

Cody landed in front of her with a crouch and summoned his shinai again. "Men!" He yelled as he slammed his sword into she woman's side.

A terrible pain coursed through her whole body and she was sent flying against the wall of the temple, but even then those didn't even cracked. She winced as she tried to sit up, and how the three boys had surrounded her. "H-How...?!" She hissed.

Cody for his part smiled in relief and satisfaction. 'It worked. The impact of my shinai has more effect on her due to her malicious feelings!' He gripped his sword and glared at her. 'Not the time to drop my guard though.'

Off to the side, Mummymon faced his own set of troubles. "Snake Bandages!" He launched the white wrappings towards the trio facing him.

Yolei acted and swung her arms to shred the bandages before they could reach them.

Mummymon sneered and brought his gun up. "Mummy Blaster!" The blue beam of energy raced towards the three.

Kari put in between the blast and her friends, her Enhaced aura and the use of the Ken technique enabling her to tank the hit. That didn't meant it didn't hurt however, as she gritted her teeth as she felt the heat on her forearms. "Grrr..."

That was all the opportunity T.K needed. He dashed to the side and gave Mummymon a taste of his own medicine by shooting his hands forward and willing the strings of his clothes to wrap themselves around the mummy Digimon. "Argh! What is this?!" He growled as he struggled around the bindings.

T.K also struggled. Despite his lanky appearance, Mummymon was still as strong as an Ultimate. The boy planted his feet and gritted his teeth. "Girls now!" He yelled.

Mummymon did a double take as both girls suddenly charged at him, Kari focused the power of her Sunlight on her left fist while Yolei kept her head lowered and crossed her Nen Scalpels in front of her.

The result was instantaneous. Kari landed a solid punch to the mummy's face, while Yolei delivered a cut to his torso that broke the strap that holds his gun.

Physics took place and Kari's punch sent the Digimon crashing against a wall, just like his beloved Arukenimon. Only in his case it was face first. "Oof!"

The group completely surrounded the two villains. Arukenimon sneered at them while Mummymon was simply dazed after that last impact. "Did someone get the number of the truck...?"

"I think it's time for you to start talking," Ken said, summoning a gun and pointing it at them to prevent them from moving. "What are you doing here?"

"That's our business brat!" Arukenimon spat. "And you haven't won yet, Knightmon is still fighting your pathetic partn-"

At that moment something sailed over their heads and impacted against the ceiling of the temple. Knightmon was battered and bruised, but didn't seemed to be ready to be destroyed.

The partners of the group emerged a moment later, looking winded but otherwise unharmed. "That guy... Is one though guy!" Pteramon panted.

"Ummm, Yolei, Ken, would you mind if you gave Stigmon and I..." Aquilamon trailed off.

Both children just raised their Digivices with confident smiles on their faces.

"Stigmon Ultra Digivolves to... JewelBeemon!""Aquilamon Ultra Digivolves to... Hippogryphmon!"

"Spike Buster!" JewelBeemon rammed his lance against the chest of Knightmon, breaking down its external appearance.

"Heat Wave!" Hippogryphmon opened his mouth and unleashed a fiery breath that reduced to dust the amalgamation of towers with a Digimon's form.

Both villains were quiet as they saw their most recent creation be destroyed. Arukenimon gritted her teeth and glared at them. "You little..." She growled.

"Now are you going to start talking?" Davis boasted as he crossed his arms over his chest. His partner landing behind him along with the rest of the Digimon, to glare down at their cornered enemies.

Mummymon gulped and looked at Arukenimon. "I... I think it's time to call it."

"I know..." She said a smirk stretching along her features. "This isn't over!"

"Guys... I think she's delusional," Exveemon said, looking at the woman.

"Delusional, no? Triumphant, yes!" She said looking up. "COME TO ME, MY CREATION!" She bellowed, her voice echoing across the swamp.

Still sitting as it was ordered to do. The creation waited on that snowed terrain where it was born.

Then it's ears twitched. And something on the back of its mind told it needed to move. It's tongue came out as it stretched its stiff limbs and stretched the wings on its back. And flew off on the direction where he could feel its creators.

The Digidestined weren't sure what that scream was meant to do. They just all got in position for whatever might come.

Everything was quiet and their guard slowly dropped as they turned to look at the spider woman with contempt. "So... You're just that desperate, huh?" Yolei smirked.

Both Digimon gritted their teeth and tensed. Thinking that mayne their failsafe wasn't going to their rescue.

"AWROOOOOOOOO!"

A bone-chilling howl resonated across the swamp. The Digidestined tensed and looked around for the source, while the villains both smirked at the sound.

"There!" Exveemon said, pointing to a silhouette on the orange sky.

The form was on all fours, a pair of metallic wings on its back, and a bladed tail on its rear. It had a canine snout, and a black armored body. It landed on the top of the temple, yellow eyes glistening as as the orange sky slowly turned a pale blue.

Arukenimon cackled along with Mummymon, while the Digidestined stared at the new arrival completely petrified. "W-what is that?!" Cody asked.

T.K's mind was blank as he stared at the creature. Only one word coming to mind. 'ZeedGarurumon...'

"That kid... Is our greatest creation!" Arukenimon said. "Say hello... To BlackMetalGarurumon!"

The metallic Digimon let out another chilling howl as his presentation was made. Then he stared at the Digidestined with bared fangs and a growl coming from his throat.

"Another Mega?!" Yolei shrieked, remembering the pain BlackWargreymon caused her friends.

"A better Mega!" Mummymon said. "This one is completely under our control, unlike that imbecile BlackWargreymon!"

"Now, BlackMetalGarurumon..." Arukenimon pointed at the Digidestined. "Go fetch!"

The wolf howled and charged. It set its sites on the bigger targets.

JewelBeemon brought his spear up to try and block the incoming Digimon, but BlackMetalGarurumon was faster and rammed his head on the gut of the Ultra Digimon, bringing him down crashing to the floor.

"JewelBeemon no!" Ken ran to his partner's side, fear and worry running through him.

Hippogryphmon opened his mouth and unleashed a Heat Wave against the wolf, but it countered with a blast of cool energy that overpowered the avian Digimon. His head got frozen and the wolf rammed its body against his gut, until they both crashed through several trees.

"Hippogryphmon!" Yolei called in distress.

The wolf emerged from the forest and turned to see who would be its next prey. Yellow eyes glistening with eagerness.

"Damnit! Take this you freak!" Davis said. Jumping with propulsion and launching a sphere of Nen. "Fire Tornado!"

BlackMetalGarurumon saw the attack coming and opened its mouth, releasing another jet of blue energy that completely overwhelmed the sphere and continued its way towards the boy.

"Davis!" Exveemon got himself between his partner and the blast, crossing his arms to defend himself. The attack sending him flying against a wall of the temple. "Gah!" His body glowed and he recessed back to V-Mon.

"No!" Davis ran and scooped the Rookie on his arms. "V-Mon! Hang in there!"

Arukenimon and Mummymon went back to their human forms, with Mummymon giving Arukenimon a spare dress he had ready for occasions like this, the woman cackled as she saw her creation take out the two strongest Digimon of the children, along with one extra. "Hohohoho! It's even better than I expected!"

"Whosh a good boy?! Whosh a good boy!?" Mummymon cheered as he cooed at the Mega. "You are! Yesh you are!" He said, climbing back to his car to relax along with Arukenimon.

With the night arriving, Kari's aura started dimming out. Her fists clenched in worry as she observed the enemy. "What can we do...?" They weren't ready. Even if they could take on Arukenimon and Mummymon, a Mega was another story. Killua warned them of thay, and he wasn't even here.

"Kari!" Nefertimon called, regressing back to Gatomon. "We have to try that!"

Kari looked at her. "The Ultimate level?" She asked.

"It might be the only way," Pegasusmon said, changing back. Patamon looked nervously at T.K. "We have to try!"

T.K nodded. "You guys are right!" He turned to Kari. "Ready?"

She placed a hand on her chest and took a calming breath. "Ready," She said, with more conviction.

"Incoming!"

They turned to see BlackMetalGarurumon opening its mouth to unleash another stream of energy towards them. Ankylomon was the one to act fast after calling out for the attack, and got himself in between to protect the group. "Gaaaah!"

When the attack subsided, Ankylomon regressed back to Armadillomon. "Ugh..."

"Armadillomon!" Cody cradled his partner with worry. "This... It's all happening again."

"T.K!" Kari called, clenching her fists.

The blonde nodded and got ready to try and call out the power of Hope that lay beneath him, while Kari did the same for the light.

But that proved to be unnecessary.

Everyone tensed as another powerful pressure seemed to come from the east, just behind BlackMetalGarurumon. A dark shadow loomed in the horizon, covering the armored body of BlackWargreymon.

The tall Digimon stopped and looke down at the wolf with narrowed eyes. "You... You are the source of that feeling."

The Digidestined could only stare in horror at the new arrival. "BlackWargreymon..." Kari muttered.

Davis held V-Mon close. "Great! Now we have to deal with him too?!" He growled.

BlackMetalGarurumon tilted its head and then started to snarl at the newcomer. "Grrr... Woof! Woof! Woof!" It barked loudly at the dragon, like a dog to an unknown person.

BlackWargreymon's eyes narrowed further. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Are you... Mindless like all the others?!" He growled.

The sensation... The feeling that drawn him here was similar to tje one he felt towards those mammoths that faced him early. But stronger, way stronger. Just by staring at this creature he could just feel... Something that draws him to it. And this... This is all he gets?! Another mindless beast?!

"What a disappointment," BlackWargreymon said. "You aren't like me..."

"Of course he isn't you dolt!" Arukenimon cackled, calling his attention. Oh how perfect this was to her, her flawed creation against her definitive weapon! "Unlike you he can obey! We make sure he didn't followed the same foolish path as you."

BlackWargreymon glared at her. "You again..." He growled. "You make sure of it? What did you do?!" He demanded to know."

"We just erased the probability of this good boy ending like you," Mummymon. "A failure."

To end up like him? BlackWargreymon looked at the snarling beast in front of him. It could have been like him? Would have been possible to have someone else like him? An object with a heart?

Now... Because of those two that possibility was gone. And now this creature was just another mindless drone.

His fist clenched. 'What is this feeling...?' He thought. 'Why do I feel an ache in my chest... Is this... My heart.'

T.K frowned at the two dark Digimon's staring down at each other. "What are they planning?" He muttered.

Kari turned to Davis. "You guys need to go find Hippogryphmon, and then move to find the nearest port," She looked down at the blue Digimon on his arms. "For their sake."

Davis frowned. "What about you guys?" He asked.

"We'll be right behind you," Kari said, looking up at the stare down between the two Digimon. "We don't know what they might do..."

Davis frowned and look around, he saw Cody cradling Armadillomon, and Ken and Yolei trying to make JewelBeemon—Who miraculously regained his form—Regain consciousness.

He sighed. "... Fine! But make sure you two are right behind us! We'll tell the others to try to find Sparky!" He said, holding V-Mon. And walking towards the others.

"BlackMetalGarurumon~" Mummymon sang. "Subdue the big bad mon, and then you can finish the Digidestined!"

BlackMetalGarurumon barked in approval and turned to face the dragon, only to receive a powerful right hook that sent it crashing down to the ceiling of the temple. And breaking through it.

"What?!" Everyone did a doubke take as BlackWargreymon attacked the wolf. And that it was actually powerful enough to damage the structure.

BlackWargreymon glared down at the hole where his opponent was in. 'The ache... Comes when I this being,' He thought. 'My heart aches when I see it. Then getting rid of it...' He readied his gauntlets. 'It should finish the problem!'

BlackMetalGarurumon emerged from the hole, snarling at the dragon and opening its jaws to unleash a blue blast of icy energy.

BlackWargreymon cupped his hands and a red sphere of energy formed between them. "TERRA DESTROYER!"

Both energies impacted and a massive explosion took place. T.K covered Patamon, while Kari and Gatomon embraced to cover each other. Davis shielded V-Mon, Cody and Armadillomon. While JewelBeemon was able to sit up and protect Ken and Yolei.

The villains observed the spectacle with mixed feelings. On the one hand the temple just suffered serious damage through this exchange, in the other they could lose two pivotal pieces for their master's plans if they destroy each other.

BlackWargreymon landed and strode forward towards the temple, ready to end that beast. "Wait!" He turned around to see the children he faced before. The girl in pink was eyeing him warily, obviously nervous about addressing him. "That temple it's important! We're trying to prevent them from destroying it!"

BlackWargreymon turned around, ignoring her. "I don't care. If that beast is hiding there, then I'll bring the whole building down," He said walking forward.

At that moment, BlackMetalGarurumon emerged from the entrance of the building. All around its body slots opened to reveal small missiles that were launched in the direction of the dragon.

BlackWargreymon charged, regardless of the projectiles sent his way, his body spinning to use his Black Tornado. The missiles exploded but didn't seemed to harm him. His body collided with the wolf and the two barged into the temple, their bodies colliding through many pillars before bursting through the wall on the opposite side of the entrance.

The two ignored the interior of the temple as they brawled. There was nothing there, it was completely empty, just filled with pillars that held it on and worked to sustain its weight.

BlackWargreymon stopped spinning and kicked the wolf away. BlackMetalGarurumon composed himself and an extra slot opened on its gut to unleash a bigger missile. BlackWargreymon unlatched the wings on his back and brought them together to block the missile.

"Spike Buster!"

A spear bated BlackMetalGarurumon away while he was distracted, but it hardly seemed to damage it. BlackWargreymon glared at the attacker. "What are you doing?"

"Preventing you from breaking this temple even further!" He said, pointing his spear at him.

BlackWargreymon narrowed his eyes and cupped his hands and energy expanded. "Terra Destroyer!" He launched the sphere of energy towards the Digimon.

JewelBeemon brought his spear up to defend himself, but it still launched him away towards a tree. "Ugh!" His body glowed and reversed back to Minomon. "Ugh..."

"Minomon!" Ken turned around the corner to check on his partner, Yolei behind him.

BlackMetalGarurumon ignored the intruders and turned back to open fire with all sorts of weapons at the dragon. BlackWargreymon dodged them by flying into the temple by the hole he made, and zigzagging around to avoid getting hit.

That didn't saved the inner structure from taking damage, however. Many pillars exploted and the integrity of the temple was compromised.

BlackWargreymon bursted through the entrance again and flew up. He flew up and cupped his hands again. "TERRA-"

"Everyone hit the deck!" Davis said, taking V-Mon and running into the forest.

"With how much they damaged the structure... It'll collapse, this time it won't be able to withstand it..." Kari said with a frown.

Gatomon clicked her teeth and turned around. "Damnit... There's nothing we can do about it! We have to run!"

They turned tail and followed Davis into the forest. On the other side of the temple, Ken and Yolei did the same, hiding on the forest of the swamp.

"—DESTROYER!" BlackWargreymon roared as he launched the miniature sun.

BlackMetalGarurumon released his blue breath. And like before, the attacks clashed and exploded. The resulting shockwave shook the entire zone. The foundations of the temple weren't able to sustain it anymore. The whole building came crashing down on itself, due to the fight between the two Megas.

As things cleared out, everything was quiet. Both combatants looked at each other, with BlackMetalGarurumon floating to be at the same level as its opponent.

Then, from the rubble of the temple something started to emanate. A black mist started to seep through and float into the air, before turning into a vortex that shot up to the sky.

From the forest the Digidestined watched in horror. "What did they do?!" T.K asked, unable to tear his gaze away.

Dark clouds covered the area. Covering the stars and the moon from the view of those watching. From within the vortex, something else was visible. Something was floating in it. A statue.

The statue resembled a turlte of sorts, with two heads and a tree on its back. It cracked and was reduced to dust, engulfed by the vortex—Which slowly started to die down.

Arukenimon smirked. "So this is the result... Can you feel it, Mummymon?"

Mummymon cackled. "Hehehehe... Yes, my dear. The holy power that seemed to come from the temple is gone, and the barrier between the worlds seems to have grown weaker."

In the air, the only ones who weren't attentive to the sudden turn of events were the two combatants. BlackWargreymon disregarded whatever that was since it didn't involved his fight, while BlackMetalGarurumon seemed oblivious to it all.

Arukenimon smiled towards her creation. "BlackMetalGarurumon. We've done enough here, say goodbye for now~"

BlackWargreymon scowled. "As if I'll let you go away!" He said while charging against the wolf.

BlackMetalGarurumon straightened his body so its belly was pointed towards BlackWargreymon and released a missile. However, instead of impacting, it detonated mid-air releasing a bright light and a loud noise, a stun grenade.

BlackWargreymon flinched and covered his eyes. BlackMetalGarurumon took his chance and flew away along with its two masters who mounted their jeep to get away from their crime scene.

By the time the dragon recovered his sight, his opponent was nowhere to be seen. He lowered himself to the floor, his whole frame shaking before he unleashed a roar of anger.

The Digidestined slowly walked away from their hiding spots to look at the artificial Digimon. "The temple is gone..." Patamon said, looking at the remains.

"And... Its destruction unleashed whatever that was," Kari said, looking at the sky, which was even more dark than before.

"I hope you are happy by whay you caused!" Gatomon spat on BlackWargreymon's direction.

"I do not care about that," The dragon growled.

"What?!" T.K got defensive as he heard the Digimon spoke. "Don't you see what your fighting caused!?"

"I do. But it doesn't matter to me," BlackWargreymon looked at the sky. "Whatever gets in between me and that beast shall be destroyed," He glared back at them. "For your sake, I hope you never get in the middle."

He extended his wings and flew away. None of the Digidestined having the energy to pursue him.

"Damnit!" Davis cursed loudly as he kicked the dirt. "This sucks! We don't even know what that place was and they got away with destroying it!"

"No such point in getting worked out now," Cody said, cradling Armadillomon. "We can dig for information tomorrow. For now, I think it's the best if we rest."

"I... I still need to find Hippogryphmon, or maybe just Poromon now," Yolei said with a sigh.

"Let me help," Ken offered. "He didn't landed far from here." Yolei gave him a thankful smile and the two walked into the forest.

T.K looked at Cody and put a hand on his shoulder. "Let me walk you back to the port," He said, looking at Armadillomon. "We don't know what might get in the way..."

The two walked away, leaving Davis and Kari alone with their partners in the clearing. While usually Davis would have taken the time to make some moves on her, he just wasn't in the mood after this. "Say, Kari, where's Sparky. He could have done... Something!" He was frustrated that again they had to rely on the white haired boy for almost everything. Even now that they have Nen and techniques and stuff.

Kari sighed. "He was doing my brother a favor..." She said. "We'll explain tomorrow," She frowned. 'Now more than ever Agumon has to stay away from BlackWargreymon.'

"Guess I'll see you tomorrow in class," He said, giving V-Mon a piggy back ride. "See ya 'morrow."

Kari waved at him and sighed. Now they had another enemy to deal with. 'How many more will appear?' She couldn't help but wonder.

"Kari..." Gatomon placed a hand on the girl's leg for comfort.

She looked down at her partner and smiled. "It's nothing... Let's go home, it's almost time for dinner."

His foot touched ground as he let out a huff of frustration. It didn't mattered how hard he tried, he couldn't feel that same sensation he detected from the artificial wolf.

BlackWargreymon pressed a hand to his chest and frowned. 'The pain is still there... That pain that surged when I looked at something that could have been like me.' He gripped his fist. 'I'll make it go away, one way or the other. That... That will be my purpose.'He looked up at the darkened sky. His mind drifting back to the conversation he had with that boy, Killua, and Agumon. 'I'm not fit to live like a fool yet... Not until this pain goes away.'He extended his wings and continued his chace. One way or the other, for better or worse, he has a heart that requires healing. That wants the suffering to stop.

"Welcome back," Kari blinked out to see her brother standing on his bed with a relieved expression. "You are just in time. Mom's making dinner, I sold off that Killua is at Matt's while you were taking a shower."

That called her attention. "Killua isn't back yet?" She asked, worry starting to form.

"No but," He walked to the computer and showed the grid map. "He should still be with Agumon."

Kari frowned, her fists clenching with worry. "Right..."

Tai noticed her posture and walked to her, placing his hands on his shoulders. "Listen, if he isn't back before we go to sleep then we'll go and bring him back. Maybe he's just spending time with Agumon," He said with a reassuring smile.

Kari couldn't help but smile back, her brother always knowing how to cherr her up. "Okay."

Despite that, the worry didn't went away. Even as he eat with her family and tried to play off the day as a boring Sunday, everything was much more complicated than what they appeared to be. She was still looking over at the empty seat that was occupied by the usually quiet member of the table.

When the dishes were washed, and her body cleaned after a shower, she laid down on her bed. The worry still precent.

'I'm being ridiculous,' She told herself. 'Killua is... He's Killua. He can look after himself and would have tried to reach us if something was wrong. I'm just on edge after... Everything else.'

Her terminal beeped and she reached for it. She opened and chocked down a gasp.

There's an SOS on the same coordinates were Agumon currently is. Should be checked, ASAP.

-Izzy I.

Kari jumped out of her bed, with Gatomon sitting up from her cat's bed. "Kari, what is it?"

"An emergency signal," She said. "We have to go and tell my brother, Agumon maybe in danger. Or... Or Killua!" She said, getting out of the room.

Just at that moment, she met with her brother on the hallway. "Did Izzy's-" He asked, before receiving a quick nod. "Crap. Come in, quick!" He said, opening the door to his room.

He opened the port program and shifted between different locations. "Grrr... Here! This is the closest location to Agumon. From here is where Izzy got the signal!"

"Digiport Open!" Kari didn't have to be told twice.

When she arrived, it was to see that almost everyone was there. The only ones missing were Ken and Yolei. "Kari, hey!" Davis said in greeting.

"Yolei and Ken can't come, Minomon and Poromon are still recovering," T.K informed. "So we should get going."

Bright light covered the area and the Rookies took their flying forms to find Agumon's location as soon as possible.

The desert was cold. Chilling the four children to the bone. But that didn't let them get distracted from their task. Eyes wide open despite the late hours and the tiredness from the battle they fought not two hours ago. If Agumon was still in place, then their leader shouldn't be far away either.

Many possibilities ran through their heads. Did BlackWargreymon found him? Arukenimon, Mummymon and their new creation? Something even worse? A new Digimon born of Control Towers?

"There!" Cody called. They all looked down to see Agumon waving at them to land.

The Digimon touched ground and reverted to their Rookie form. "Agumon what's-"

"Please! He needs help!" Agumon said, pretty shaken and with a quiver on his voice. What he said made everyone freeze. They all have a good idea of who was 'He.'

He turned around and ran, the Digidestined following closely. Their hearts hammering on their chest and nervousness rising from their stomachs.

They turned around a corner... And they froze.

Slumping against a rock was Killua. His shirt turned to shreds, a gash wound trailing over his chest and the blood being barely held back with an improvised bandage made with the right leg of his pants.

"Killua!" Kari dashed to his side, Gatomon, T.K and Patamon close behind. "What happened?!" She asked, looking at him over and trying to find a way to help.

"Who did this?!" Davis asked, turning to look at Agumon. "BlackWargreymon? Arukenimon?"

"No... It was... The Reaper," He admitted with a shudder.

"Blademon?!" Cody and Armadillomon gasped.

"Where is he?!" V-Mon asked, looking around and with his hands up. "See now if he lays a hand on him with us here!"

"He's not here..." Agumon said, looking troubled. "He is... Gone."

"Where?" T.K asked, taking out his jacket and ready to use it as more bandages.

"I... I don't know..." He admitted. "He just... Left. Vanished."

Kari clenched her fists and let her aura flow. "Killua, can you hear me?" She asked, her voice wavering. "It's going to be okay. I-I'll help, just... Hang in there, please."

Killua's eyes were half-open. And the consciousness slowly fading. Darkness was slowly reclaiming him and his eyelids becoming heavier. His last thoughts drifting to a certain character. 'Blademon...'

Waves crashed against a shore. Grey sand getting muddy as the water drenched it.

Kneeling near it, with his cloak discarded, and his sword imbedded on the ground, Blademon stared at the waves with dull eyes.

His mind was a mess; thoughts filled with contradictions clashed against each other. His body felt weak; limbs tired and the back of his neck burning.

His eyes were full of different emotions. Hurt, anger, sadness, hate, confusion, fear...

But above them all... Blademon felt regret.

His body trembled and his lips parted, his throat broke as he let out a roar full of agony.

"Welp... This happened."

"For those who dislike Blademon, bear with me for another chapter, everything will make sense... I hope... I'm trying okay! T-T"

"How do you think I handled the conversation with BlackWargreymon? I've wanted to add Killua because him and BlackWargreymon have a similar arc on their original series: One of self discovering. Killua knows what it is to be without a purpose, his reason to tag along with Gon is to find one! So he obviously had some insight for someone going through the same."

"BlackWargreymon reached the same conclusion he did near the end of the series, that being alive is about enjoying the life. And that while that sounds like a fool's life, he isn't against living that way. Sadly, I had to add a new obstacle on his way... Sorry :P"

"Also... For curiosity's sake. A Crossover between HxH and RWBY, with Killua reborn as a Schnee, with all of his skillsets (Nen and Assassin's skill), and giving Jacques a hard time by scaring the crap out of him every day... How does it sound?"

"I'm not planning of making it. I have my hands full with this and A Fallen Knight. I'm just asking what you think."

"Fav and Review!"
