Zero Fullbuster: Hello there, buddy.

Wickerstein: Pre-Chrollo fight, I want my boy to have a fighting chance thank you very much! Definitely working on a backstory for Hisoka as the first Anomaly and using Ishida's manga as a source, Togashi acknowledges its existence so why not?

AnonymousBW: Thank god someone liked my changes, no one else comments on them and I was afraid I was screwing things up :(. And yes, everything up until the chapter of searching for answers was on my phone.

Snow fell down blurring his vision. BlackWargreymon flew across the frozen landscape to continue his search for the creature and its two creations. He ignored the snow and just focused on the feeling he has every time he is close to that animal.

His eyes narrowed, his fist clenched. "You can't hide forever," He said. "I will find you!"

He would never rest easy as long as that creature stays alive. The feeling he had each time he sees it won't go away as long as it continues to exist, he had to get rid of it to ease the pain it brought him. Determination running through his body, he sped up his fly. The thing wasn't that far from where he was, soon they'll clash again, no matter what gets in the way.

Arukenimon growled as she was forced to wear a furred coat to shield her skin from the cold, "Blasted temple!" She growled. "Of all places, why is the one in the west covered in snow?!"

Mummymon kept his eyes on the road, while BlackMetalGarurumon stuck his head out to catch the icy wind on its mouth. "It will be over soon, dear. If the coordinates are right, then we are heading in the right direction. If we do this fast, then we might even avoid BlackWargreymon and the Digidestined," he looked back and smiled. "Isn't that good news, boy?"

BlackMetalGarurumon barked happily behind its owners "Arf, arf!"

Arukenimon sneered at them. "Mummymon, don't get distracted and keep your eyes on the road!"

As she said this, the car bumped against icy rocks scattered throughout the route. The passengers all bounced while Mummymon tried to regain control of the wheel, swiveling around to stabilize the car.

This ended up directing them towards an icy cliff that made them sail in the air for a few moments before gravity took its hold on the transport again.

"WAAAAAAH!/OWWWWW!" The three passengers screamed as they plummeted down to the road below.

Monday came for the Digidestined, a day after a crazy Sunday for all of them both in Kyoto and in the Digital World.

The Digimon In-Training happily scarfed a box of sweets Yolei brought them from her trip. And they weren't the only ones.

"C'mon, man! Stop being so selfish and give me one!" Davis said as he tried to take a candy from Killua's box.

"Hell no, back off!" The boy growled, keeping his sweets close to him. "It isn't my fault you scarfed your gifts in one go during your lunch break!" He put a hand on the boy's face and pushed him away. "Instead of the sweets, you should focus on what we're trying to say!"

As they gathered, Yolei and Killua started recapping the events of Kyoto to the rest of the team, while they told them about the fight with the two Digimon in disguise during the clash of the Megas.

"It's hard to believe BlackWargreymon and those creatures suddenly appeared in Kyoto," Cody murmured in worry.

"Out of all the places, Sora's dad said it might be due to Kyoto being a highly spiritual place. Protected by four Gods and temples put in the four cardinal directions to prevent monsters from attacking the city," Yolei explained and turned to the rest. "Does that sound familiar?"

T.K nodded, "It's the exact same situation we're dealing in the Digital World," He said, crossing his arms in thought.

"Who'd thought one could learn so much in a scholar trip?" Davis asked as he munched on a candy Demiveemon gave him from his box. Just for that, Davis knew he had the best partner.

Killua leaned down on the desk while popping one of the candies on his mouth, "Even on my 'break' the action never seems to stop," he commented.

"At least you were able to get something good out of it," Kari commented, looking at the box. She was a bit upset her idea of giving Killua a breather had backfired, but it came as a blessing in disguise as he was able to defend the city from those… creatures.

'Yeah, and that's thanks to you, isn't it?' Killua thought while inwardly smiling. His newfound feelings surfacing, before he pushed them down, he already made a decision about how to deal with them. He shook his head and got back on topic. "However, the fact that mirages of Digimon are appearing again like five years ago, and that those things from the ocean are crossing over means one thing."

"The boundaries are getting weak again," T.K finished. "The same thing we fixed in our first adventure might repeat again."

"What might happen if those boundaries are lost?" Yolei asked with a bit of dread, the previous experience still recent on her mind.

"Something like five years ago," Kari said, opening a drawing program on the computer. She drew a red line, "This is our world," then a yellow one, "and this is the Digital World. If the balance continues to be lost then," she pressed a button and the two lines started mixing together. "Both worlds might collide, like it did before."

"That only translates to more troubles," Davis grimaced. "I don't want wild Digimon suddenly raining like cats and dogs from the sky."

Killua winced. "It might get worst, dude," He said, grabbing the mouse. "There's also that ocean to worry about," He drew a green line to represent the ocean. "But not only that, but maybe my world might get affected too," He said drawing a fourth, blue, line.

"And who knows," T.K said, taking his own turn with the mouse. "There might be more and more worlds out there that we don't know about," He drew other three lines—Orange, purple, and pink.

Yolei started at the image and tilted her head. "It looks like a rainbow," She commented.

"If they're also affected by the lost boundaries between worlds then who knows if they might also merge with our world," T.K pressed the button that mixed the colors together. Until eventually all the colors made a black circle.

"Then all goes dark," Killua said somberly.

Gatomon's tail swished behind her and she cupped her chin in thought. "With all that's being happening, I've been thinking that maybe the mastermind might be related to the Ocean. After all Ken went there before becoming the Emperor, and now the creatures from there are crossing over due to the damage Arukenimon and Mummymon are causing."

Kari shuddered. "That's… a possibility," She said. The idea that those things coming over to their world being something that puts her on edge, even if she was ready to face them if it came to it, it didn't take away the fear and repulsion she felt for them after their first encounter.

Killua frowned. Everything just seems to go back to that ocean as of late. Blademon ended there after their last… encounter, and now there was this mysterious yellow-eyed thing that just vanished yesterday, one able to so-casually block one of his attacks.

"Then that's more of a reason to protect those temples!" Davis exclaimed, looking up from the computer screen and starting to dug in his pockets for his Digivice.

Before they could enter, the door of the lab opened and revealed a smiling Izzy behind it. "Hey!" He greeted with a tone that revealed a bit of excitement.

Everyone looked at the tech wiz in surprise, not expecting him to come by today. Yolei however got over her surprise quickly and smiled at him, "Izzy, nice timing!" She said, taking out another pack of candies from her backpack, "A little souvenir from Kyoto."

"Why thank you," He chuckled as he took the box. "And I have something for you, for all of you in fact. Would you please give me your terminals and D-3?"

"Sure, but what for?" Killua asked as he handed the terminal Gennai made for him.

"You'll see," Izzy said, connecting the Digivices and terminals to his laptop. He started typing at a fast speed as he explained himself to the group. "I managed to isolate the trail BlackWargreymon and BlackMetalGarurumon leave when walking around the Digital world, it's some sort of distortion. So I made a program that tracks said distortion, so you can see where each of them is going. And where BlackMetalGarurumon is that's where Arukenimon and Mummymon are. I already gave it to Ken."

The terminals and Digivices showed a map with two red dots, one trailing after the other and both of them heading towards the west.

"That's amazing," T.K said as he picked his Digivice. "Now we can keep tabs of where they are."

"It is the least I can do to help right now," Izzy said, scratching the back of his head.

"Don't sell yourself short, this is a really big help," Killua said, staring at the dots. Inwardly, his eyes narrowed. 'There they are… Now's the chance to get some answers.'

"Alright, we got an upgrade and now we're all ready to go!" Davis said, taking out his Digivice.

"Hold up," Kari said, typing on her terminal. "There's still one of us who needs to know," She said, as she sent the message to Ken. "There! Now we're ready!"

Yolei pulled back her sleeves and pointed her Digivice to the computer. "Digiport Open, let's go Digidestined!"

"Well this isn't exactly a warm welcoming," Killua deadpanned, seemingly the only one unaffected by the snowy landscape all around them. The others, humans and Digimon alike, were all shivering due to the cold.

"I-I t-thought the coldest parts were in the north!" Davis complained. "Like the poles and so, why is the west cold?!"

"C-chalk it up to Digital World weirdness," Cody said, "W-What now?"

Killua took out his terminal and looked at the direction of the dots. One was clearly chasing after the other, and they were growing closer and closer to each other. "They're over there," he said, pointing in the direction where the dots were heading. "And it seems they're about to hit round three."

"W-We can't let that happen," T.K said, taking out his D-3, "If they clash again who knows if what happened yesterday might happen again!"

Killua looked at the sky and could see some clouds gathering. His eyes narrowed and he frowned. 'I don't need to have Gon's senses to feel a storm is coming, we have to reach them as soon as possible before we lose track of them again.' He turned to the others. "Let's go!"

He received nods of confirmation and raised their D-3. Soon they mounted their partner's armored and more versatile forms, with Killua riding on Raidramon, and started the chase to reach their enemies' location.

The tires screeched as they moved around the snow, dodging the constant bombardment coming from the armored dragon chasing the car, BlackMetalGarurumon growled and barked at their chaser, its wings deployed and ready to charge into action.

However, it was soon covered in bandages to prevent it from attacking, "Down, boy, down!" Mummymon told it as he struggled to keep it restrained on the jeep. "You can't fight him, not yet!"

Arukenimon sneered; she was the one who had to take the wheel now since Mummymon had to keep the mutt down. Another explosion rocked the car and she fought to keep it from crashing. "Curse that dragon, and curse the brat from abandoning us when we're so close from achieving master's plan!"

If they let the mutt fight then they'll lose even more time, and will get caught in the upcoming storm—She noticed the clouds, and in this environment that could end on them freezing to the death or caught in the crossfire of the two Megas. No thank you!

BlackWargreymon ignored her discontent and cupped his hands together for another strike, "Terra Destroyer!"

Another explosion and another close call on their transport getting turned upside down! They had to get away from the enraged dragon before one of those balls actually connects and leaves them stranded on the frozen tundra!

"Mummymon, do something!" Arukenimon barked at the blue imbecile.

"I-I'll try, dear!" Mummymon said, trying to keep the growling BlackMetalGarurumon from engaging with the dragon. He used one hand to keep the bandages biding the wolf in place, while he aimed his Mummy Blaster with the other. "Take this!"

He shot a blue beam of plasma from the weapon; BlackWargreymon merely floated to the side and avoided the blast with ease. Yet his senses warned him to turn around and assembled his shield to block the attack. The beam dispelled and the dragon turned around to glare at the car that was getting farther and farther away, "I won't let you!" He growled as he resumed his chasing.

From the car, Mummymon scratched the back of BlackMetalGarurumon's ear, "Ready, boy!?" He asked him with a mix of eagerness and clear fear.

The wolf stuck its tongue out and barked, "Arf!" It flopped to its back, a slot opening on its belly. "Woof!"

A missile was launched from it; BlackWargreymon narrowed his eyes as he saw it sail upwards. Too late he realized that it was the same bomb the wolf used on their first fight, "NO!" The flare detonated and liberated a bright flash that illuminated the whole area, "ARGH!"

Snow was starting to fall as the group continued to track down their enemies.

From far away something seemed to glow, T.K narrowed his eyes as he saw it, "What is that?" He muttered.

"Looks like a flare or something like that," Killua answered as he peeked from Davis' back, "Must be really strong if we can see it from all the way here."

Another voice called from behind them, "Guys!" They turned to see Ken arriving on Stigmon's arms. "What is that?" He asked, referring to that light.

"We're about to find out, dude," Davis said, leaning forward on Raidramon's back. "C'mon buddy, double time!"

With renewed fervor the group resumed their chase.

BlackWargreymon blinked as spots covered his visions. When he could finally see clearly, he scowled and twitched with rage. "Again… they got away AGAIN!" He howled in rage. Even if he could sense that creature's presence, sometimes it just vanished, it could happen at any moment.

As if that wasn't enough, the snow started falling with even more strength, clouding his vision on the direction where they could have gone. He couldn't chase them in this environment!

With fists still shaking in rage, BlackWargreymon extended his wings and flew off. He will wait, it doesn't matter how long, and he will finally put an end to that… creature's existence.

Meanwhile, away from the dragon, the passengers of the jeep cackled with glee, "Serves him right!" Arukenimon said as she saw the radar of the jeep, showing BlackWargreymon's signal getting away.

"You did well, boy! You did well!" Mummymon said, giving BlackMetalGarurumon an ear-scratch.

BlackMetalGarurumon barked happily and licked the mummy's face in a show of affection.

Arukenimon sneered at the two. "Stop fooling around, Mummymon! And get on the wheel; find me somewhere to shelter from this dammed snowstorm! We'll continue to look for the temple when it clears out."

The jeep stopped and the two swapped places. "Yes my lady!"

As she sat on the back with the dog, BlackMetalGarurumon leaned his head so she could give it some ear-scratches. The woman snarled at it, "In your dreams, mutt!"

BlackMetalGarurumon grumbled softly and lay down with a huff.

The Digidestined observed the area carefully; there were craters and scorch marks all around the place. Yolei checked her D-Terminal and frowned, "They're taking different directions. Maybe BlackWargreymon stopped chasing them."

"Either they had a fight, or BlackWargreymon was chasing them like yesterday," T.K said as he observed the smoking craters.

Killua watched them too with a frown, "I think it's the latter otherwise there would be more destruction. From what you told me, BlackMetalGarurumon isn't one to pull punches."

"It isn't," Kari reaffirmed. "It acted like an animal, a dog, in both occasions we saw it."

"At least that would make it easier to fight with," Killua muttered.

T.K frowned at the different scorch marks on the area. "They don't care about anything else aside from destroying," T.K muttered as he clenched his fists. "We have to stop them from reaching the temple, any of them!"

BlackMetalGarurumon was one thing; it was an animal following orders, but BlackWargreymon? He didn't care about the destruction of the temple as long as he could fight with the wolf, he didn't care about destroying anything on his path as long as he could satiate that desire he had for finishing the wolf. He was just as dangerous, just as dangerous as all the others born from the spires.

"We can't allow them to reach the temples, neither of them!" He growled under his breath. They couldn't let beings made from the dark to reach them.

"We won't," Killua said, slapping a hand on his back, causing the blond to snap out of his anger. "But not right now, they're off the radar, the storm is picking up and we're only going to get our butts frozen over."

"Glad someone is p-p-pointing it out!" Davis said, rubbing his arms to gain some warm and considering in turning Raidramon in Flamedramon just for the heat.

T.K took a deep breath and exhaled, a cloudy mist coming out from it. "You're right, let's leave for now."

Killua nodded and gestured for the others to go.

Someone else watched the interaction of the two with a curious look. 'That happened once before…' Cody thought as he observed T.K's back.

He thought back to when Ken took the data from that Digimon on the whirlpool, back at his base as the Emperor. T.K looked really furious and Killua talked sense to him before he could make a harsh decision.

T.K looked around. "There should be a port here," He said. "That way we can look for the temple tomorrow to be one step ahead, in case they don't show up tomorrow."

"Sounds like a plan," Killua said with a nod.

Cody pursed his lip in thought. 'Brash or calm… what's T.K true determination, I can't help but wonder about that.'

With the storm cutting their trip short, the group had no other choice but to return home for now.

"We will skip training tonight to have energy for tomorrow, see ya then" Killua said with a wave as he walked back home with Kari and Gatomon, his hands folded behind his back.

"Alright free day!" Davis cheered as he pumped his fists.

"But I'll send you some high level exercises for you to do," Killua added, with a bit of a smirk.

"Oh come on!" Both Yolei and Davis complained, making Killua's smile become feline.

T.K just chuckled and prepared himself mentally for a night of exercise, however he noticed someone still standing on the sidewalk, "Cody?"

The boy seemed to be in deep thought before he turned to the blonde, "Oh, y-yeah?"

"Is everything okay?" T.K asked.

"Oh, yeah, just thinking that… aside from those exercise I also have my kendo lessons!" He said forcing out a smile.

T.K chuckled, "Well then don't work yourself too hard, okay?" He turned and walked away. "See you later then."

Cody walked away with a nod and with a pensive frown on his face, mulling over the thought he had early before returning from their task. T.K demeanor shifted from a moment to the other every time something involving the darkness was involved, bee it that Digimon on the whirlpool, or both artificial Megas. It just seemed so… violent and sudden.

"Cody?" He looked down to see Upamon giving him a worried look, "you don't have practice tonight, are you okay?"

Cody bit the inside of his cheek. He didn't liked to lie, but he wanted to dodge T.K's question because his thoughts just kept going back to the sudden mood shift the blonde went through went the two Megas were brought up. "Yes, just… Thinking about something," He looked at his partner with uncertainty. "I know we have to defend the temples, that is our priority, and Arukenimon, Mummymon and their creation are the ones who want to break them. Yet, T.K seemed to lump BlackWargreymon in with them."

"Isn't that the case?" Upamon asked with a tilt, "Arukenimon created BlackWargreymon and he attacked us."

"Only once…" He muttered while shivering, the memory of that day wasn't one to be forgotten easily. "After that he didn't seek to harm us, only BlackMetalGarurumon and those two. The destruction of the temple was a casualty. I'm not saying that what he did was right, but… If he is fighting against Arukenimon and Mummymon, wouldn't that mean he's on our side?" His face twisted in conflict, "or am I thinking too much into this?"

BlackWargreymon was different from anything they ever faced, not only in power, but in behavior. He wasn't mindless, but he wasn't completely evil either. Otherwise he would have killed them when he had the chance when he was born, or when they met on the swamp? He only seeks out to fight BlackMetalGarurumon ever since he appeared. Shouldn't that, at the very least make them allies?

"Maybe you are," Upamon responded, snapping him back into situation. "Or maybe you just need to use your lessons in kendo to focus a bit more on the matter. Maybe it'll give you an answer."

Cody blinked as he looked down at the yellow ball. By focusing he meant meditate on it? Well… That could work. He lifted Upamon in the air and smiled. "Maybe you're right."

"Focusing, focusing, I want to focus too, Cody!" Upamon chirped as he was held high by the boy.

As they made their way back to the apartment, Killua tried to keep a neutral look on his face, but inwardly he was really upset over the developments of the day. Those two and their pet had been silent for over a week ever since his clash with Blademon and when they finally appear he is away on another city and now a snowstorm has to cut their search short.

From Kari's arms, Gatomon called out to him, "Everything okay?"

He turned his eyes to her, he thought he was good at keeping it hidden. Now that she caught up, and that Kari was also staring at him he could only give a shrug. "I'm disappointed that we had to leave, I know I'm the one who said we should, but it stills makes me angry that they continue to give us the slip," he said crossing his arms and frowning.

Kari smiled at him, "Tomorrow should be better," she looked at the front of the road. "The storm shouldn't bother us anymore."

"If luck's on our side," He said with a sigh and running a hand through his hair. "And we'd be even luckier if we reach the temple before them…" His face turned into a frown. "The problem should be dealing with their pet to avoid causing damage, like you told me it happened last time."

Gatomon looked at him, "And what about BlackWargreymon? He could appear and cause the same disaster as last time."

Killua nodded, conceding that possibility, "True, but maybe it can work on our favor. If he only wants to fight against BlackMetalGarurumon then we could convince him to unite."

Kari frowned. "Are you sure it'll work?" She asked. "He doesn't seem like the cooperative type."

He crossed his arms and thought of it. BlackWargreymon changed since the last time he saw him, he seemed ready to not focus his entire time in fighting—To live a fool's life as he put it—but it all changed when the dark wolf appeared, now he seemed obsessed with putting an end to its existence. 'We can always let them fight but away from the temple, but considering they've clashed three times in a row, if the scorch marks from early are any indication, then they must be evenly matched. A fight between the two would only end on either one of them dying, or the two killing each other. And if it's BlackMetalGarurumon who comes out on top, then we'll have to worry not of them fighting and wrecking the temples, but of only one of them aiming to purposely wanting to bring them down. I honestly don't know what's more problematic…' He sighed.

Kari blinked at him, "Killua?" She called out.

"Sorry," He said. "I spaced out."

"You thought of something?" Gatomon asked.

"Nope," He said bluntly, shaking his head. "I'm drawing out a blank; our only chance is that BlackWargreymon is willing to cooperate. That would make things easy for us."

"It doesn't sound likely," Gatomon said with a sigh. In her eyes, BlackWargreymon was yet another dangerous enemy.

Kari decided to change the subject, "And what about the other two?"

At the mention of them, Killua's gaze hardened. "Plan's the same," He said, hurrying his pace. "Get them to tell me what they know about my partner, my Digivice, and their boss," he said curtly.

Kari shrank a bit at the tone, while Gatomon narrowed her eyes slightly. Killua stopped and turn to her, his eye softening. "Sorry," he said softly.

"It's okay, I get that it is still a… sore subject," She said with a shrug and an attempt of a smile.

"Just keep that tone down," Gatomon chided.

Killua gave them a nod and sighed. "I did mean what I said. I'll get answer from them," he said. 'One way or the other…'

Kari gave him a wider smile. "I'll help in anything you need," She said, after a moment she look to the side and added, "A-and the others too, of course," She looked back at him. "We can hold ourselves against them pretty fine now."

"And that without including the possibility of becoming Ultras again," Gatomon added.

Killua smiled at them, grateful for their attitude. Again he was reminded of the night after fighting Blademon and smiled, luckily avoiding the blush. "Then I'd be counting on that."

Kari and Gatomon exchanged a look and then smiled at him again, catching on what he meant to say, "You're welcome."

Killua rolled his eyes good-naturedly and before they knew it, they were already back at home.

The night came, and on his bed T.K trashed and turned. Sweat falling down his brow as he had awful nightmares.

Both BlackWargreymon and BlackMetalGarurumon joined forces and charged and attack against him, but then Angemon appeared out of the sudden and put himself in between him and the attack. The angel yelled in pain as his body was slowly dissolved into data.

T.K's eyes widened with a gasp and sat up on his bed. His frame shook in terror and his pajama was stuck to his skin due to the layer of sweat dripping from him. He pressed a hand against his forehead and lay back down on his bed.

He turned and smiled at the sight of his partner sleeping peacefully, completely oblivious to the nightmares of his own. He poked his cheek playfully causing him to giggle on his sleep.

T.K sighed and turned his gaze to the ceiling. He won't let it happen again, to let Digimon like that to continue wreaking havoc on the Digital World. He hold out his hand and let his Nen flow. He nodded to himself and closed his eyes, ready to sleep and prepare for the incoming day.

They were welcomed again to the cold landscape of the tundra, luckily without a snowstorm to receive them this time. Like before they mounted their armored partners and made their way on the direction of the temple, Ken joining them on the way there.

The coordinates took them up to a chain of frozen mountains, too stretch for their armored group to travel safely, so they reversed temporarily to their Rookie forms to pass.

One of the roads on the mountains had a rope bridge that connected one side to the other, one by one they passed until it was Kari's turn to pass. She looked down nervously at the abyss below, and nervously made her way to the other end, where most of the group was already waiting. "C'mon, Kari, just a little more!" Davis encouraged.

The girl gave a nod and took another step, but a sharp wind shook the bridge and caused her to stumble forward.

"Look out!" Davis yelled as he reached out to catch her… only for someone else to do it. "Eh?"

Killua help Kari straight herself as he caught her by the elbow, he decided to be the last one to cross for reasons like this, to make sure everyone made it safely to the other side. "You okay?"

"Yep, thank you," She said as the two finally crossed the bridge.

Davis just stood there before his head dropped and he let out a resigned sigh. "Every time…" He turned around and sulkily followed the others.

Yolei opened her terminal and looked over to the mountains at their side. "According to the coordinates, the temple is there," she said and changed screens. "And there's no sign of any of them, of either Arukenimon or BlackWargreymon."

"Good, then we'll reach the temple before them, that'll give us time to form a plan," Killua said, looking at the direction where the temple is.

"Do you have something in mind?" Cody asked.

Killua gave an uncertain nod, "Kind of… BlackWargreymon only wants to destroy the mutt, maybe we can reason with him to work together to get rid of it."

T.K scowled. "What makes you think he'll be willing to listen?" He asked with an edge on his voice.

"Keyword try," Killua remarked. "BlackWargreymon isn't mindless, Agumon and I already talked to him once and he listened before-"

"YOU TALKED TO HIM?!" Everyone yelled in surprise.

Killua blinked. "We didn't mention that?" He asked, baffled, receiving furious headshakes. 'Crap, with everything going on with Blademon, the temples and the ocean it slipped my mind.' He cleared his throat. "On the day you discovered the temple and BlackMetalGarurumon first appeared, both Agumon and I found the guy and talked to him. He… He wasn't hostile and actually sat down to talk to us, we discovered that he has… a heart, emotions."

"H-Huh?!" Was the general response, with Yolei adding, "B-but he was born from Control Towers!"

"I know it sounds crazy, but just think over the fact that aside from breaking down the temple while fighting with the mutt he hasn't done anything to outright cause damage to us or the Digital World, except for when he was created. And even then, I think it might have been more of an instinct thing rather than malice," Killua told them, getting pensive looks from them.

"Then… he is alive?" Kari asked. "Like any other Digimon?"

Cody looked down in conflict at the news. 'If he is alive then… How could we stop him? Could we… Could we reason with him like Killua says?'

"And if he doesn't listen?" Everyone turned to see T.K looking at their leader with a deep frown, "If he just continues to cause damage due to his fight with BlackMetalGarurumon?"

Killua returned the frown, before giving a shrug, "Then we find a way to stop him from causing damage…" He looked down and added, "Including having to put him down for good." He had hoped for the artificial Digimon to be an ally, but if he didn't accepted that and proved to be a threat then that would be the only way to stop him.

T.K frowned lessened and he gave an accepting nod, Kari also gave one—if BlackWargreymon continued to cause damage then he wouldn't be different from Myotismon or the Dark Masters in her eyes. Ken also nodded, he was ready to do anything as long as it stopped the suffering of this world due to his actions, in some way the two Megas are his responsibility too.

The others… they didn't know what to think. Davis doesn't understand completely how BlackWargreymon could have a heart since he's made of towers, yet if he's alive like Kari puts it then… won't killing him be bad? He was ready to kill a Digimon before, when they thought Golemon was a normal Digimon and not a Control Tower in disguise, but to think about it again… it made him uncomfortable, same with Yolei.

But Cody took it the worst. His hands shook and he clenched them into fists to get them under control. 'Alive? Then we can't just destroy him, I… I can't do it, I won't.' He never wanted to take a life, even after what Killua told him. That just wasn't right to him, no matter what. He… He couldn't fathom the thought of ending another life. 'There is another way, Killua could go through the plan and actually convince him to stop.'

"We won't know what'll happen if we just stay here," He said. "Bring out the Champion forms, we will need them."

Everyone nodded, even those who were uncertain and brought out their Digivices and all of the Champions—Along with Pteramon and Nefertimon—flew in the direction of the temple.

Cody continued to look down in conflict after the last discussion, completely wrapped on his own thoughts, "Hey, Cody!" He turned to see T.K looking worriedly at him. "You okay? Is the cold getting to you?"

"Umm, no, I'm fine; just nervous," He told the blonde.

"Everything is going to work out in the end, don't worry," T.K told him with a smile, before flying ahead with Pegasusmon.

Cody frowned at his back, in confusion. 'Again his demeanor shifted entirely, before he was really aggressive when talking about our enemies, but now he looked calm and gentle as usual…' He shook his head and saved the thought for later.

"There it is!" Davis said, pointing to the mountains.

The temple, looking exactly like the one on the swamp, rests in the middle of a frozen plateau, spacious enough for all the Digimon to land and move comfortably despite their sizes. The children dismounted their partners and moved around the temple to inspect it.

"We actually made it here first," Ken said, feeling relieved, he turned to the others with a frown. "Any sign of them?" He asked.

Yolei checked her terminal and gasped. "Oh man, two dots, one chasing the other, coming on this direction!"

"Then we don't have time to waste!" Killua said, releasing his Ren. "Ken, Yolei do it!"

The two nodded and raised their Digivices.

'Stigmon Ultra Digivolves to… JewelBeemon!"

"Aquilamon Ultra Digivolves to… Hippogryphmon!"

Everyone looked in the direction where the signal was coming from. Beyond the mist and clouds caused by the altitude, they could see two forms approaching—One of them carrying two smaller ones.

Eventually on of them landed in front of them, BlackMetalGarurumon sneering at the one chasing him, while Arukenimon and Mummymon disembarked and glared at the children. "Tch, brats… Not in the mood to deal with you, get lost!" Arukenimon snarled.

"Fat luck there, witch," Davis responded, letting his Nen focus on his legs. "Ready for round two?"

Before anyone could answer, the final figure landed in front a few meters in front of BlackMetalGarurumon. BlackWargreymon glared at the wolf and then past them, focusing on the children, "You people again. Get lost, this has nothing to do with you."

"Actually," Killua said, taking a step forward. "It does."

BlackWargreymon's glare softened, but didn't vanish, "You…"

"Hey big guy," Killua said, keeping his nerves steady as he knew how volatile the situation currently is. "I've heard about your problem with these guys," He said, pointing to the villains. "But I also heard about you causing damage to really important places."

BlackWargreymon's eyes narrowed further, "I don't care about that," He said coldly, before glaring again at the wolf. "I only care about eliminating this beast."

BlackMetalGarurumon growled and bared its fangs at him.

"Then let us help," Killua said, causing the two Digimon in disguise to tense. "We all get what we want if we work together, you don't destroy the temples and BlackMetalGarurumon is destroyed."

"I refuse!" BlackWargreymon said immediately. "I have to be the one to destroy this beast! I'm giving you the chance to stand aside, from showing me the truth behind my existence, but to live that way… I can't let this creature exist. It has to die by my hand!"

Killua scowled, "Why are you being so stubborn?!" He growled. "You're just making things more difficult for everyone!"

"Because I have a purpose to fulfill," BlackWargreymon said, never taking his eyes off the wolf.

Killua growled, "Then…" He acted fast; he dashed past Mummymon and Arukenimon and stopped right at the wolf's side. "Take it somewhere else!" He growled and brought both fists together before slamming them with Nen on the torso of the wolf.

The monster growled in pain as the attack launched him off the plateau. BlackWargreymon turned to glare at Killua, "You…!" He growled.

"Your opponent is there!" He said with a frustrated growl of his own. "Go and fight it if that's what you want, we won't interfere, just stay away from here!"

BlackWargreymon remained silent as he glared down at the boy, before letting out a huff and turning his head away. BlackMetalGarurumon reemerged from the edge of the plateau, snarling at Killua and charging a blast on his mouth before a right hook from BlackWargreymon cut it off. The dragon delivered a spin kick to the wolf that sent it further away from the big plateau.

He turned around to glare at Killua, "I'll let slide what you did before, but don't you dare interfere again."

Killua scoffed. "Just keep that thing away from here, and kill it while you're at it."

BlackWargreymon didn't responded, just charged straight at the wolf who was recovering from the attacks of the dragon, further pushing him away from the area of the temple.

Killua sighed, it wasn't a perfect solution since they could still cause damage, but it'll do. But he knew they weren't done here.

"Spider Thread/Snake Bandages!" From behind, Mummymon and Arukenimon tried to restrain the boy with their attacks. Killua just moved faster than they could blink, one second he was there the next he wasn't, "Huh?!"

"Now that that's being taken care of…" They turned to see Killua standing back with his friends, while glaring at the two villains. "We have some things we discuss with you two."

Cody looked in the direction where the two Megas went to fight. 'He was able to reason with BlackWargreymon to not destroy the temples, there is another way then!'

T.K did the same, yet he did with a frown. 'At any moment he could turn on us, if not joining them then just breaking the temple with their scuffle!'

The two took steps back to get away from the Digidestined, only for big shadows to loom over them and see JewelBeemon and Hippogryphmon blocking their path. "Don't even think about it," The feathered Digimon said.

"Tch, we have nothing to discuss with you, brat!" Arukenimon said, taking steps forward to show defiance.

Mummymon looked at her with worry. "A-Arukenimon…"

"Yes you do!" Kari said, stepping forward and sharing the same glare as Killua. "Tell us what you did with the baby five years ago, with Killua's partner!"

Arukenimon growled. Unlike before she didn't see a clear way of escaping, Mummymon was in the same boat as her and BlackMetalGarurumon was fighting the black sheep that is BlackWargreymon at the moment.

She can't believe she actually has to give in to these children's demands, "Fine! You want to know what happened five years ago?! I took that baby and his Digivice with me!"

Everyone scowled at her; she finally admits it she stole the baby five years ago, along with the Digivice, both of them belonging to Killua. Killua for his part clenched his fist and gritted his teeth in anger, the bangs of his white hair covering his eyes and casting a shadow down on his face.

"I didn't even have any need for the little runt," She continued, with Mummymon growing nervous with all of her words. "I planned on getting rid of it, but then when we figured he was your partner, Anomaly, well…" She chuckled, they wanted the truth so badly well she'll give them the sad, bitter truth, "hehehe, we decided to groom him in our favor. To make him our loyal pet while making sure he hated you!" She said in a half-lie, the hooded brat was only loyal to their master after all.

The scowls slowly morphed into disbelief, the dots connecting and confirming what they already knew. Killua's face continued to be hidden from view, but there was blood running down his white knuckles.

"We used him to monitor our pet project," She said, glaring at Ken who glared back with hate, "and when the Anomaly appeared again we decided to kill with one stone, to make him be the one to kill you!"

Killua's teeth grinded against one another, 'You…'

Mummymon gulped as he felt some uneasiness on the air, something was… wrong, "Um… Dear?"

Behind the two Ultras, the two Megas continued to fought, completely oblivious to the rising tension on the plateau. They simply traded melee blows against each other.

"He might be missing now, but I think you know him all too well, the Reaper himself is your partner you dumb kid!" Arukenimon cackled, expecting the shock, the disbelief and despair on the boy's face.

Instead what she received was a reminder. A reminder of how dangerous this brat truly was.

Everything happened too fast, he just felt something pushing her to the side and she fell to the ground. She looked up to see what had happened and she gaped in disbelief.

Killua moved when Arukenimon confirmed the heavy truth. Rage took over him at that moment, an anger that just told him to act and make them pay for what they did to him and to his partner!

He dashed forward, his hand aiming for the spider, but someone pushed her to the side and he struck someone else instead. He looked down at his hands, while everyone just stared at him in shock.

The Digidestined didn't see it coming, one moment their leader was amongst them and the next he was charging at their enemies. The younger kids and Kari gaped in disbelief as the events unfurled in front, while T.K simply looked down in acceptance. They had it coming.

As for Mummymon, well… He just wanted to save his beloved Arukenimon so he pushed her aside when he felt the kid sudden movement, a second too late and it would be Arukenimon instead of him in this situation… And currently his head was on the grip of Killua Zoldyck while the rest of his body crumpled down like a broken ragdoll.

Killua glared down at Mummymon and then he cursed at himself, not only did he acted brashly due to his anger, but he failed in getting his objective… and the others saw it too. He threw the head away and it vanished in data, he turned to glare at Arukenimon who was crawling away from him in fear.

Then a bone chilling howl covered the area, "AWROOOOO!"

Killua looked up to see BlackMetalGarurumon charging at him with an absolutely rabid expression, while BlackWargreymon chased after it. The two Ultras tried to stop them from getting close to the temple by getting on their way, but the slots all around BlackMetalGarurumon's body all opened and fired various missiles at the two, exploding upon contact and blindsiding them.

Killua got ready as the wolf was ready to pounce on him, he leaped to the side, BlackMetalGarurumon's front paws smashing the icy floor and causing cracks on it. The yellow eyes of the beast, filled with an emotion of unbridled h, turned to glare at him and Killua glared back. 'What's its deal…?'

BlackWargreymon went to stomp the back of the wolf, but it leaped back before it could connect. The dragon joined Killua's side while giving him a side-eyed glare. "What did you do?!"

"Killed the mummy, I don't get what its freaking deal is!" He said, extending his claws out.

BlackWargreymon turned to glare at the wolf, which was slowly letting out a red aura from its body. Killua's eyes widened and narrowed in recognition. 'That's the so called gift that Ken and Blademon had… This is bad…'

He wasn't the only one thinking that, Arukenimon gulped as she saw the aura. 'If it uses that for too long then the master's grip on it will weaken, it could turn into a thinking being like BlackWargreymon!' Yet what could she do? Mummymon was dead; she couldn't go back to the master without results. The temple had to go down

BlackMetalGarurumon charged, and the dragon put himself between it and the boy, assembling his shield to block the charge, Killua moved to its side to deliver a haymaker to its body, but the wolf elevated himself and charged a blast from his mouth. Killua charged electricity on his fingertips and released a bolt of lightning that stunned the wolf and gave chance for BlackWargreymon to knee it on the chin.

Meanwhile the other Digidestined stayed rooted in place after witnessing the death of the mummy. Davis spoke up, "G-guys, we should help."

Cody shook, "K-Killua just killed…" He muttered.

"We have to help!" Kari said, breaking them from their stupor. She wasn't exactly happy about what happened, eventually it would have come to it, she knew it would if they wanted to prevent them for causing more damage to the Digital World, yet how Killua did it, felt… wrong. But that didn't take away that right now, Killua needed help.

"She's right," T.K said strongly. "We don't know what it wants, but we can just rely on BlackWargreymon for it!"

Behind them their partners nodded. "Just say the word, T.K!" Angemon said, gripping his rod.

Nefertimon glowed and reversed back to Gatomon, deciding to use her more agile form to fight. "That thing can't take on all of us!"

Ken took a step forward, summoning his book on his hand and ripping a page to reveal a standard gun, "JewelBeemon!" He called at his partner, who was recovering from the previous onslaught of missiles.

"I'm okay, Ken!" The paladin said as he dusted himself off.

Yolei gulped, "H-Hippogryphmon?" she called out, shaking her doubts as she focused Nen around her hands to use her blades.

The feathered Digimon extended his wings and circled around the three fighters. "Ready!"

Davis slapped both his cheeks and focused Nen on his legs, "Not the time to stand like a scarecrow, ready Exveemon?"

"Always!" Exveemon said, taking a stepforward.

Cody took some calming breaths; he had to participate on the fight, even if what happened upsets. He extended his hand and the shinai took form, "A-Ankylomon?"

"I'm here for ya, partner!" Ankylomon said proudly.

The Digidestined all charge to help their leader, their partners all aiming to attack the wolf. But that's when BlackWargreymon turns around and with a swipe of his claws sends a gust of wind that stops them in their tracks.

Killua looked at the dragon, bug-eyed. "What are you doing, dumbass?!"

BlackWargreymon narrowed his eyes at the Digidestined. "Don't interfere!"

The group stared at him in stunned disbelief, "WHAT?!" They asked in outrage.

"I'm only letting him getting involved because that thing won't leave him out of its focus," He said, referring to the snarling wolf. "This is still my fight, and I won't let you interfere."

Killua gaped almost comically at him, "ARE YOU FOR REAL RIGHT NOW?!" He couldn't believe the dragon's obsession to defeat the wolf was this bad; he thought they could reach an agreement, but this was absolutely ridiculous!

He couldn't say anything else as the wolf lunged at him; ramming his head on the boy's gut and pushing him back despite his attempts to plant his feet firmly on the ground. His back finally slammed on to something and he could see from the corner of his eye that they were too close to the temple. 'Shit!'

Everyone turned; ready to help their leader, only for the dragon to get in their way, "Move!" Davis growled.

"I won't tell you twice, don't interfere!" BlackWargreymon said as he blocked the path of the Digidestined.

"If we don't then that thing might kill him!" Kari glared at the dragon, letting out her aura, glistening with the sunlight.

BlackWargreymon looked at the fight, and then narrowed his eyes back at them. "Then he won't be in the way of my fight anymore."

"You bastard!" T.K spat with venom on his voice, "Then we'll have to get you out of our way!" He said with a growl. He lashed his arm out and the threads of his sleeve shot forward to wrap around the dragon.

BlackWargreymon flew out of the way; making the threads hit nothing but air. He looked up to see JewelBeemon and Angemon use their weapons to bash him above the head, but with just one of his arms he was able to hold them off. From behind Hippogryphmon, with Gatomon riding his back and Exveemon charged their attacks, while from the ground Ankylomon flexed his legs to jump.

"X-Laser!"

"Heat Wave!"

"Cat's eyes beam!"

"Megaton Press!"

BlackWargreymon took one of the halves of his shield and used it to block the three blasts effortlessly, while with one leg he kicked Ankylomon down. He pushed all of his attackers back and started spinning in place, "Dark Tornado!"

He charged at the three that attacked from afar, he rammed himself to Hippogryphmon's gut slamming him and Gatomon against the roof of the temple and leaving a sizeable dent in it. The two fell down with Hippogryphmon barely holding his form.

"Hippogryphmon/Gatomon!" Both Digimon's partners yelled in concern.

"Oh, he's gonna get it!" Davis growled as he jumped in the air and focused Nen on his feet. "Fire-"

"Spider thread!" A red whip wrapped around the boy's torso and slammed him back into the floor.

"Gah!" Davis coughed in pain as he looked up at his attacker.

Arukenimon glared at the children with a fire never seen in her before, "You all still have an opponent in me!" She said cracking her knuckles.

Davis got back to his feet, Kari, Yolei and Ken backing him up and readying their skills.

Cody raised his shinai and glared at her, but noticed someone was focusing on the battle of their Digimon, "T.K?"

T.K clenched his fists as he observed the different battles of the two Megas. His blue eyes glaring at them, 'I can't forgive them… I can't!' He growled inwardly.

Cody tugged at his shirt to call his attention, "T.K, c'mon, the others need our help!"

The blonde looked at the younger kid and then at his friends fighting Arukenimon, "Right…" He said, letting his Ren flare and the strings of his sleeve to unravel.

The black Digimon didn't stopped as he spun and did the same with Exveemon, the blue dragon tried to cross his arms over his chest to try and protect himself but it was in vain as the power of the tornado ended up slamming him against the floor.

He took to the skies again where JewelBeemon charged straight to him with his spear, "Spike Buster!"

Tornado and spear clashed against the other, yet the Mega overpowered the Ultra and broke from the stalemate by pushing himself back and cupping his hands together, "Terra Destroyer!"

JewelBeemon raised his spear to block the miniature sun with his shaft, but the power of the attack overwhelmed him and sent him crashing to the ground.

"JewelBeemon!" Angemon called in concern, thus leaving him open for when BlackWargreymon delivered a right hook that made him join his friends on the ground.

Killua for his part struggled to push the rabid wolf away from him, his hands keeping his open jaw, teeth bared and dripping with saliva, from digging on his neck. He grunted and delivered a side kick to the chin of the wolf, followed by a spin kick that finally put the fake Digimon away from him.

However the wolf quickly composed itself and the slots on its body opened again, releasing a barrage of missiles. Killua got ready to dodge, but he flinched as he realized that if he does that then the temple behind him. 'Shit!' He crossed his arms and used Ken to focus aura eighty-percent of his aura on his front and twenty on the rest of his body. The missiles impacted and stung around his arms and upper body, Killua gritted his teeth as he felt the explosions occurring upon impact.

Everyone heard the explosions and turned to see the sight of their leader taking the hits for the temple, "Killua!" Kari tried to go on his help, but a red whip wrapped around her arm. She turned to see Arukenimon sneering at her.

"You're dealing with me!" She said, raising her arm to block a sphere of energy from Davis and jumping to dodge a hail of bullets from Ken, as well as strings from T.K, taking Kari with her as she did. She reared her arm back and threw the girl towards the floor.

Kari managed to land with a roll and turn to glare at the spider-woman.

Cody and Yolei tried to attack from behind, but the woman dodge the swing of their blades and grabbed the two by the scruff of their shirts and threw them away from her. She looked in the direction of the wolf, "BlackMetalGarurumon stop playing around and break that building!" She yelled in frustration.

Angemon struggled to get on his feet; just in time to see the white haired boy getting bombarded by the wolf, "Killua!" He spread his wings and tried to help him, but someone got on his way, "You again?!"

BlackWargreymon narrowed his eyes at the angel, "I won't repeat myself again!" He said, delivering a right hook to Angemon's face.

Angemon crashed on the floor again, and to add to it BlackWargreymon stomped on his back, "Gah!"

Ankylomon got to his feet as well and charged against the dragon to save him from the dragon, "Angemon!" His efforts were in vain, as effortlessly BlackWargreymon backhanded him with enough strength to send him crashing against the wall, to continue stomp the angel's back.

The hail of missiles on Killua came to an end, and he didn't waste any time, "Godspeed!" He covered himself on an electric aura and charged with Whirlwind at the wolf, delivering a right hook to its face, then a kick to its side, and then grabbing its two rear legs and spinning him around to throw him off the plateau.

BlackMetalGarurumon recovered mid-air and opened the slots on his body again. Killua prepared his arms to throw lightning bolts that would detonate the missiles in mid-air, however the missiles all moved pass him and instead went straight to the temple. His eyes widened, remembering Arukenimon's early scream. He turned around with wide eyes. "Fuck!"

The missiles impacted against the building, causing cracks to form around the building. Killua turned in time to see the wolf charging at him again while firing lasers from its snout. The boy vanished from sight and launched a lightning bolt that struck the wolf's side and stunned him momentarily, leaving him open to a barrage of punches from the furious Hunter.

The commotion didn't go unnoticed by the Digidestined, who turned around to watch the damage, and the two downed Champions, "Ankylomon!" Cody yelled, seeing his partner's state.

T.K didn't say anything; his eyes focused on the form of his partner being stomped by their enemy before he grabbed him by the neck and started to strangle him. Flashes of what happened on File Island five years ago invaded his mind, Angemon dying to protect them from Devimon's attack.

"We can't let them get away with this," He growled, clenching his fists and instinctively going for his D-3. "We can't let them continue to do this."

He doesn't mean only for this fight to stop, he meant all of it. The destruction of the temples, the unbalance between the worlds, the influence of that dark world, all of it had to be stopped.

BlackWargreymon looked icily at the angel before throwing him to the side, like garbage and turned to the fight between the Hunter and the wolf. Killua had just kicked BlackMetalGarurumon away, the wolf's body oozing smoke, yet it recovered quickly and elevated himself to a high ground and charged a blast on its mouth, not aiming at the boy but at the temple. BlackWargreymon also elevated himself and cupped his hands together, ready to attack the wolf, with Killua and the temple trapped in the middle.

The boy himself looked at the two in frustration. The last time he tried to stop one of their attacks he almost lost the two hands, but if he doesn't do something then they will lose another temple.

T.K clenched was frustrated at this turn of events too. They couldn't let them win, they couldn't! He looked down at his Digivice and his eyes widened. "… We can win… We have to win!" He took a deep breath and raised his hands. This will work, he knew this will work. "Angemon!"

The Digivice glowed and Angemon did as well, a power he hasn't felt in five years washing over him, and forming a bright pillar of light around him.

"Angemon Ultra Digivolves to… Magnaangemon!"

The ten-winged angel emerged from a pillar of light, calling the attention of both allies and enemies alike. The light emanating from him restoring the energy of his downed comrades. "W-what…" Exveemon said groggily.

"Magnaangemon…" Kari breathed out.

"So that's Angemon's Ultra level," Cody mused, staring at it wide-eyed.

Arukenimon sneered at the scene, looking worriedly at the gawking BlackMetalGarurumon.

The angel turned his gaze to the two Megas and dashed at them, BlackWargreymon was the first to react bringing his shield out and blocking the sword attached to the angel's wrist, "BlackWargreymon!" His voice boomed. "You and BlackMetalGarurumon are bringing nothing but harm to this world; you have to be banished from it!"

BlackWargreymon glared at him, "Don't lump me with that beast!" He growled out, pushing the angel back.

BlackMetalGarurumon recovered from the momentary shock the pillar of light caused it, and prepared to launch its attack again. However, he was interrupted when something slammed against its jaw. Killua glared at the wolf from the roof, his Conjured yo-yos on both hands. He took advantage of the distraction to get there. He wrapped the cords of the toy around the neck of the beast and jumped down from the building; bringing the beast down with him and making it slam against the floor.

BlackWargreymon and Magnaangemon broke their stalemate and started trading blows, the angel's Excalibur fighting against the dragon's Dramon Killers.

"They say that you possess a heart," Magnaangemon said. "But all you've done is show that it's full of selfishness to achieve your own desire, not caring about the words of others!" He growled.

"You are no one to tell me how to live my life!" The dragon spat as he struggled against the sword.

The angel didn't take his answer kindly; he kicked the artificial Digimon on the stomach and then delivered a double handed punch to the head that sent him down to the floor.

"Everyone hold onto something!" He said loudly as he raised his sword.

Immediately upon hearing his warning, the Champions all ran towards their partners and covered them from any danger—Hippogryphmon covered Kari and Gatomon as well as Yolei, while Ankylomon covered T.K and Cody. Killua hid with Davis and Ken under Exveemon and JewelBeemon's massive bodies.

Magnaangemon drew a circle in the middle of the air, just above the temple, "The Gate of Fate!" The circle took the form of a golden door with runes on it that rotated and opened to reveal a portal of sorts on it.

A strong wind started to absorb anything into the portal, loose dirt, chunks of ice, debris from the affected parts of the temple, and the three enemies of the angel.

As she floated into the air, Arukenimon shot her whips out and latched to Ankylomon's tail. The dinosaur turned angrily to her. "Let go, you crazy woman!"

"As if I'd listen to you!" She spat angrily, holding to dear life.

The two Megas didn't had anything to hold onto, their bodies disconnected from the floor against their will and started floating towards the golden gate, the angel watching them in solemn silence.

"No, it can't end like this!" BlackWargreymon growled as both he and the wolf got dragged into the oblivion of the door. He glared at the wolf from the corner of his eyes, who was struggling like him to avoid getting into the portal. 'I have to destroy it! I have to!'

The wolf also struggled. Its primitive mind acknowledging the danger and refusing to go down, it also felt anger, anger directed at the mop of white hair hiding behind the two big figures. It had a job to do, it had to end it!

One did it out of desperation, the other out of a sense of duty, but the two of them at that moment worked in synch. One cupped his hands together, the other charged blue energy on its mouth and together they unleashed their attacks to the world below them.

Magnaangemon gasped and tried to prevent it, but the attacks reached their mark before he could. They impacted against the roof of the temple, and caused an implosion that caused the structure of the temple to crumble on itself. Dark clouds started to emanate from the remains of what was the sacred temple, soon covering the sky, its influence causing the gate to close and vanish from existence. Like before, a statue of a Digimon appeared in the middle of the chaos, it looked like a giant tiger with various orbs floating around it, and just like before it crumbled into nothing but dust.

Magnaangemon dropped to his knees and started sweating, the atmosphere emanating from the rubble of the feeling suffocating to him. His body glowed and reverted back to his In-Training form, Tokomon.

"Tokomon!" T.K got out from his hiding spot and ran towards his partner.

Arukenimon ignored the boy and observed the destroyed temple, nodding in satisfaction. "It is done…"

BlackWargreymon looked at the temple neutrally, not caring in the slightest from its destruction; he turned to the wolf just to see him go straight to the woman that always caused problems. "Get back here!" He demanded as he chased after it.

The wolf flew over the woman and Arukenimon used her whips to latch to one of its paws to fly away with it. "Good bye, kiddos, Corrosive Mist!" She let out a cloud of gas from her mouth, covering the entire area.

BlackWargreymon started spinning in place like a tornado to quickly dissipate the air and have a clear view of his two preys, however as it cleared out there was no sight of them, "Again!" He growled. "It got away again!"

"Oi, BlackWargreymon!" The dragon looked down to see Killua glaring at him. "What's the big idea?!"

The dragon narrowed his eyes and turned around. "Just stay out of my way if you know what's good for you!" He said, flying away to chase down its targets.

Killua just glared in the direction where he went. It almost seemed like a bad joke, they talked about him finding a purpose for his newfound heart only for him to now be so absorbed in fulfilling it that he won't care about anything else. 'Tch, so much for possible ally,' He thought angrily.

T.K looked down at Tokomon in worry, while the others gathered to discuss on what to do, "Tokomon?"

"I'm sorry, T.K," He said, "We lost another temple, even with me being Magnaangemon…"

T.K gave him a reassuring smile. "It's okay; we'll do better next time!" He said, petting his head.

They finally managed to lose him. Arukenimon peeked out from the cave where she hid with BlackMetalGarurumon, not seeing a single trace of the dragon.

"Finally," she mumbled. "We got rid of that fool…"

Fool…

She looked back to the cave and saw BlackMetalGarurumon sitting with its head down and whimpering. It's been like this ever since they got away from the area where the destroyed temple was.

She clenched her fists as anger overtook her. How dares he… How dare the Anomaly kill her helper! Now who's going to drive for her? Who's going to make her new dresses?! Who's going to clean her wounds and keep guard for her on the night?!

That imbecile… Why did he shoved her and died for her?

She sat down with a huff. Mummymon was gone, now she was alone with the mission, no one to help her… to make her dresses or heal her…

"You fool…" She growled out in frustration, anger and, reluctant as she was to admit, sadness.

She felt something nudge at her and looked to see BlackMetalGarurumon trying to call her attention, sadness clear on its… his eyes.

She put a hand on his head and started petting him. "They'll pay boy… They'll all pay."

Two temples down, two to go. And maybe she wasn't as alone as she thought.

Silence continued to fill them in the plateau as the Digimon all scarfed down some food to regain a bit more strength to evolve and go back to the nearest TV. Behind them the temple was still oozing the same dark clouds that covered the entire area.

Not only was the weight of their most recent failure dangling upon them, but there was also the issue of what… Killua did. The Hunter himself was sitting at the edge of the plateau, his feet dangling and staring at his blue Crest resting on his hand.

The others looked at him from afar, "So… What now?" Davis asked, folding his hands behind his head.

"I… Can't believe he did that, so easily too…" Cody muttered, feeling uneasy as he remembered Mummymon's head on Killua's hand.

"I can," T.K said as he watched Tokomon eat almost everything he had. The others turned to him in curiosity and he gave them a serious look. "Arukenimon was his target, and he taunted him with the knowledge about his partner, bragging about how they turned him into the Reaper," He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "And in the end, we would have done something similar to finally put an end to their crimes."

Ken nodded, "Arukenimon and her 'master' won't stop what they're doing no matter what, only by dealing with them permanently," He said, a determined scowl on his face.

Davis sighed and rested on his back. "I'mma be honest, can't say I'm on board with the idea… But if we actually have to…" He said unsurely.

Yolei looked green. "M-maybe we won't have to do it like Killua did? I-I mean I understand we'll have to but… is there an easier way?" She asked, receiving unsure shrugs.

Cody just stayed quiet. Time and time again their friends have talked about the possibility of killing their opponents, not only artificial Digimon but also those who live and feel like they do. It was all to save the Digital World, but no matter how many times he considers the possibility it just continues to sound wrong. 'Is it me…? Am I not ready to do everything to save the Digital World?' He wondered.

Kari for her part walked towards their leader, worry on her face after the events around Mummymon's death. She couldn't say that the Digimon didn't deserve it, he might not be the one behind everything, or the one to create the artificial Digimon, but he was an accomplice. Yet what worries her where the words that Arukenimon threw at her and how they might affect him.

She sat down next to him, observing as he just looked at the Crest of Loyalty on his hand. "Are you okay?"

Killua wrapped his fingers around it before pocketing it. "I… Suppose," He said with a sigh. "I mean, we confirmed it… Blademon is my partner, which should be good right? Or at least I hope so."

Kari frowned, knowing what he was talking about, "But that also means he's on that ocean…" She said, and Killua nodded. "So…"

"I'd like to find him," He said. "At least to… Clear things out, to try and reach him out, to… Clear up the shit they put on his head about me," He said in a tired tone.

Kari reached out and put a hand on his shoulder and he turned to see her smile—why does she have such a cute smile? "Remember, we'll all help you with what you decide to do?"

Killua's gaze dropped as he looked at the others. "Even after what happened?" He asked, looking back to the others discretely. "Today wasn't my brightest moment…"

Kari grimaced; she had tried to avoid the issue. It wasn't exactly the best thing to do, but with the circumstances Killua was dealing with she could understand the reaction, somewhat. "That doesn't erase the good you've done, they'll help if you ask I'm sure. And of course, I'll do it too."

Killua gave her a weak smile; even despite everything she tried to make him feel better. She was just too good. 'Not doing me any favor on this stupid crush,' He thought. He sat up and stuffed his hands on his pockets. "Let's see if the others are ready, my ass is freezing here," Kari giggled and sat up as well, turning to reunite with the others.

"Oya, oya~"

Killua froze, his blood running cold and his spine becoming liquid nitrogen.

Everyone turned as a voice came from the black clouds emanating from the debris of the temple. Killua's eyes just widened and his fist clenched on instead. That voice… It couldn't be. It was impossible!

Something—someone—stepped out of the clouds. A man, wearing a white set consisting of a white vest, and white pants, bracelets on both arms, and pointy black shoes, his skin was pale and his bubblegum pink hair was standing upright, and on his face were the marks of a star and a tear drop.

The man smiled as his yellow eyes wandered from one kid to the other, "What's this?" He asked with a twisted smile.

The kids immediately sat up and looked warily at the man. "Who the heck are you?!" Davis demanded.

Kari narrowed her eyes in confusion. "Another disguised Digimon?" She wondered. She turned to Killua. "Who'd you think—?" She gasped at what she saw.

Killua's already white skin was now an ashen color, his hands curled into fists and his eyes filled with an emotion Kari has never seen in him: Fear.

"H-how… How are you here?!" He demanded to know, his Ren flaring up around him as the man merely smiled, "HISOKA!"

Hisoka just smiled and put his hands on his hips. "Nice to see you again, dear Killua~"
