"Are you sure, mum?" asked Rylan cautiously as Jasira faced the floor.
"You don't have to," added Reyna.
Jasira turned to face them as she said softly," You belong there. No matter what happens, you still have to go back at some point. It was where your father and I grew up together."
"But they hurt you, mum," snapped Reyna looking murderously at the wall.
Jasira bowed her head as she said, "I've taught you all I can. You know the story and I'm sure you're prepared to go there."
"What about our appearances? All the Sergeys know how to identify auras," said Rylan worriedly.
"I've taught you how to change them, Rye, but we'll have to change our appearances," decided Jasira.
'We have cousins there," said Reyna quietly.
Jasira couldn't stop the tears from gathering in her eyes asshe looked at her two twins, the children of the man she loved, the man she had married. Eleven years and due to start Hogwarts in less than two weeks. It broke her heart to even think of what had happened. She had never felt such anger directed at more than fifteen people. Her lips were pressed, as she said, tightly," I'm so sorry to put you in this situation, sweethearts, but I want you to get a chance to experience Hogwarts."
Reyna's eyes darkened," mum, we're going to be seeing all of them again."
'They will have changed," added Rylan.
Jasira flinched but ignored them as she got up again," You two will still have the same names. Nobody even knows that I was pregnant with you. My name would have to change and so will our surname."
'How about changing your name to Felicity?" suggested Rylan.
Jasira thought about it and nodded slowly," Felicity... not bad. Surnames?"
'Cade," said Reyna with a shrug.
'Is that the best you have?" asked Rylan with an eyebrow raised.
'It's enough to not make us suspicious," retorted Reyna.
Jasira smiled," Reyna, Rylan and Felicity Cade."

"Cade, Reyna," called McGonagall as the brown haired girl walked towards the stool confidently.
My, my, a Sergey now, the hat mused and Reyna stiffened.
'Please don't reveal my identity," she said her voice panicking.
Oh, I'm quite sure the pretense will eventually come out at Hogwarts at the right time, of course. However, it's been quite some time since I have seen someone with your ambition and power. Interesting. Very interesting.
Reyna grew slightly impatient. What's so interesting?
Ah, so your father is the main reason, eh?My condolences, Miss Sergey. Your father was a great man, and I knew of his mind as well. Although I did tell him Gryffindor would have better suited him.
Reyna tensed, my father will wake, she thought firmly.
There was no response before the hat said, worthy of Godric's courage, especially in these dark times, not to mention his boldness and bravery. Loyal and dedicated, eh? Though I suppose Hufflepuff isn't the most suitable option. Ravenclaw seems fitting, but I believe it must be a choice between Gryffindor and Slytherin.
The hat merely chuckled as it went through her memories to see her character. Slytherin, huh? Just like your father, though he was more of a Gryffindor, mind you. As difficult as your mother then, and in case she hasn't told you, she took six minutes to sort.
Reyna chuckled," Sounds like mum," she thought ruefully.
Tell me then, Miss Sergey, or, as you now seem to go by, Miss Cade, which house you prefer?
Which house do you think I'm best suited for?
Gryffindor, the hat said immediately.
So put me there.
Ah, but I feel you are more like your father. You want to be in Slytherin, although you are best suited for Gryffindor. You want to make a change to that house. To show them that Slytherin is not all dark wizards.
Reyna bowed ber head, it was Dad's house. One of the best if only people see past the wizards who taint it.
I must say you are certainly not the first one with that ambition at heart, but perhaps... perhaps the one who might finally succeed after centuries of the house being tainted.
You mean there were others who wanted to change Slytherin? She asked, sounding surprised.
Of course, well done being your father and his brother, though it is unfortunate to say that they did not succeed. Unsurprisingly, since the war began at their time after all.
There was a slight pause.
I have no doubts of the difference you will make, however, and if you need assurance, Miss Sergey. You are like your father, and Slytherin is also you, in a way.
Reyna opened her eyes to see Rylan's impatient ones and nodded just as the hat yelled," Slytherin!"
Rylan looked sad as their eyes met, likely thinking about their father and the two exchanged quick smiles as Reyna got up to join the cheering table and her brother sat down, she was a hatstall having taken exactly five minutes to be sorted, just minutes below her mother.
She knew without a doubt that he would go into Gryffindor and she was proven right when three minutes later the hat yelled out, "Gryffindor!"
The students were looking a bit curious as they stared at the cave twins in houses that hated each other. Reyna saw two red-haired twins welcoming Rylan as she sat in her table, not bothering knowing the other girls as the food appeared.
She ate in silence, purposely not engaging in conversation as the others got to know each other and she noticed a dark-haired girl sitting sullenly across her. She already had a map of Hogwarts thanks to her mom, and she didn't make eye contact with anyone as the Headmaster gave out his finishing speech.
She got up slowly as the students started heading to the common rooms and followed the Slytherins to the dungeons. Her head bowed, she walked silently as the students around her chattered. A Gryffindor fifth year bumped into her and as Reina looked up she saw him smirking. With pity clear in the 11 year old's eyes, Reyna ignored him and continued on her way with her housemates.
'Password's purity. You might want to remember that while you are here," drawled one of the 5th year prefects as they reached the blank wall in front of them.
Reyna already knew everything about Hogwarts, so it wasn't much of a surprise when the wall revealed the common room with its high-backed chairs and fire. The students didn't have the quiet chatter they had ten years ago. Now they were lounging freely and talking in louder tones.
Reyna wondered whether they thought the threat of Voldemort was truly gone. With a disgusted shake of her head, she waited in boredom for Severus Snape to appear.
When he did, Reyna studied him. Her mum had said Snape was a good guy and that they had been friends in school, but he hadn't been there when her mom had been betrayed. Jasira no longer knew if Severus was the same guy or if he had also betrayed her. Nevertheless, Reyna was cautious around him, glad that she had inherited her mom's natural occlumency shields.
He still sported the same greasy hair, though he was no longer stick thin. A bit leaner, but not quite muscular, his black eyes scanned the room, resting briefly on Reyna with no hint of recognition before starting," I am Professor Severus Snape, head of Slytherin House and Potions Professor. A formal welcome to the new additions to Slytherin House. Might I warn you, this house sticks by together regardless of the situation. I do not want complaints of betrayal due to another house. Failure to stick by Slytherin rules will result in punishment.
"As Slytherins, we have our own current leaders, prefects, if you so call them. But anyone with the right power and who is recognized with the students of this house, as well as myself, can also be in charge. Mind you, it takes a lot to be a Slytherin, just as it takes a lot to earn the respect of the entire population of the Slytherin house. I've no doubt we have keen minds who are ready to study and be of help in your year. Slytherin will not have a bunch of lazy baboons ready to slack off at any moment," Snape's voice was curt, smooth and sharp.
Reyna eyed him as the first years nodded nervously.
'Our house has won the Quidditch and House Cup for the past six years. If I see any one of you losing points unnecessarily, then be warned that whatever punishments that will cross your tiny minds will be nothing compared to the ones I shall give you. Is that understood?" he barked.
They nodded.
Reyna snapped her head as Snape called out," Cade, since you believe looking at my appearance better than listening to my words, a lesson is in order."
Reyna tilted her head, aware of everyone's eye on her as Snape said," Let me start by asking you a simple question. What is the incantation of the knock back jinx?"
Reyna's voice was cool and clear as she replied," Flipendo." Easy, that was her mother's favourite.
Snape had no expression as he inclined his head," The disarming charm?"
"Expelliarmus," said Reyna in a polite voice.
"Turn this book into a needle," said Snape, eyes narrowed as the first years stared at her in awe and slight envy.
Snape looked slightly taken aback as Reyna
took out her wand and pointed it at the book. She resisted the urge to do it wandlessly and instead, with a casual flick and an incantation muttered, a needle stood in place of a book.
There was a silence that stretched for minutes before a smirk formed on Snape's face," Excellent. Ten points to Slytherin for demonstration without the aid of a teacher. That shall be an example to the rest of you," he added to the other first years before leaving the common room with a sweep of his robes.
"Hey, newbie," called a fourth year Reyna didn't know," How'd you do all that?"
"The same way you know how to talk. I learnt it," said Reyna smartly.
Some Slytherins sniggered as the fourth year flushed," You'll watch that mouth while you're hre, Cade. Just because you've managed to impress Snape doesn't mean you have everyone's respect," said Marcus Flint with a threatening look.
Reyna had never been great at holding her tongue, which was why she kicked herself when she said," No, but I've gotten some people's respect, which is more than I can say for you."
Another shocked silence as some firls gasped at her audacity and Flint towered murderously over Reyna," Just who do you think you are?" called out a seventh year sharply.
The daughter of one of the most powerful witches in Britain known to have invented one of the most powerful protection spells which require an impressive amount of magical energy, not to mention the daughter of a wizard whose name alone holds power in the Ministry. The granddaughter of one of the most influential families in Britain, the list could go on but Reyna simply said," I'm Reyna Cade."
"What's your blood status?" asked the fourth year.
Reyna crossed her arms," Half blood."
There were distasteful looks shot in her direction that made Reyna annoyed. Slytherins looked down on half bloods but Reyna told herself not to react.
"Alright newbies, listen up. Regardless of whether or not you are powerful, you are still first years, which means we have to look after each other," Here, the other Slytherin prefect, Lorene, threw a dirty look at Reyna but continued," No matter what, we stick together, which means no leaving each other out. If someone attacks you, you do not attack unless there are others with you. Or, in case of an emergency, you shall use it as self-defense. Slytherins are cautious, which means we are also good at being stealthy. Gryffindors are known to attack Slytherins and Slytherins are known to fight back. If there is trouble, you come to us. Understood?"
Everyone nodded, including Reyna.
"Girls on the right, boys on the left. In Slytherin, it's three to a room and boys, no getting into the girls dormitory, strictly speaking unless you want to end up looking like a pin cushion for the rest of the year," instructed Lorene.
The girls quickly made their way to their new rooms and Reyna ignored the curious looks she was receiving as she followed the girls in front of her. She paused by the brown colored doors to look at the nameplates. Her room was the second door and she looked at the nameplates.
First year girls
Cade, Reyna
Hill, Gianna
Rosier, Delilah
She opened the door and stepped inside. The room was quite comfortable. The three four poster beds covered with their green and silver curtains, three identical wardrobes stood across each bed and a cabinet inside each. There was another door, likely leading to the bathroom as the trunks were directly beneath the bed. Painted a light gray with touches of blue, the room was quite cheerful and Reyna felt a small smile on her face as she looked around.
"Are you planning on standing there all night or will you let the rest of us enter?" drawled a voice behind Reyna.
Not bothering to turn around, the girl strode into the room, heading straight to the right bed where her trunk was deposited under. She was happy that it was under the window, that she had always liked views. Reyna proceeded to unpack her clothes, hanging them neatly in her velvet green wardrobe as the girls conversed in low tones.
"Are you planning on trying to know us at all?" called the blonde as Reyna bent to take out her toiletries.
"What do you want to want to know about me?" she said in a quiet tone as she straightened.
"Oh, I don't know, something other than your name," said the dark haired girl sarcastically.
Reyna clenched her jaw as she turned towards them. The dark-haired girl was eyeing her coolly through striking, light silver-blue eyes, while the blonde dark-blue orbs were looking at her in barely hidden curiosity. Jasira had made sure her children knew enough about the Death Eaters and everyone in the Wizarding World, and Reyna was inquisitive enough to ask about the people who attacked her in school.
"I'm assuming you are Delilah Rosier," said Reyna with a nod towards the dark haired girl. Her voice had a slight anger to it and the girl looked taken aback.
"Tell me, Cade, are you from a light family?" asked Rosier.
Reyna was silent before giving a brief nod," Yes."
"I thought so. What are you doing in Slytherin then?" she asked.
"Who said Slytherins only consisted of dark wizards?" retorted Reyna, shaking her long light hair.
"No one, it's common knowldge," jumped in the girl who must be Gianna Hill.
Reyna was silent," No," she said quietly," There are plenty of wizards who aren't dark and have been sorted into Slytherin."
"Name one," challenged Delilah.
There were plenty of names for Reyna, but the girl didn't let them escape her lips as she said," Your father, Hill."
Gianna looked surprised and a little uncomfortable. "You know my dad?"
"He's Max Hill, right?" said Reyna with a smile. Dad's best friend.
"That's Lord Hill to you," said Gianna, looking as though it had been drilled into her," How do you know him? she added.
"He's been in the papers," said Reyna casually.
"What about you, Cade?" prompted Delilah.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"Tell us about your family. As far as anyone knows, Cade's not a common name in Britain," said Delilah.
"There's nothing to say except that my brother's in Gryffindor," shrugged Reyna.
"It's going to be interesting," said Gianna.
"What is?" asked Delilah.
"Two twins. One Slytherin, one Gryffjndor," said Gianna mischievously.
Reyna rolled her eyes," Get used to it then, I'm not going to stand for anything getting between my brother and I."
They gave her odd looks," Nobody said they'd give you a hard time," said Gianna slowly.
"Why aren't you listening to Snape?" said Reyna, in a matter of fact voice.
"You've already proven yourself in front of everyone, Cade. I doubt some people will want to be in your way," replied Delilah.
"I've got a long way to go before I prove myself, Rosier," said Reyna, seriously.
They were quiet before Gianna said," Enough with the surnames. We'll be sharing a room for seven years. So we might as well be friends."
"Yeah, unless my family's history's got something to do with it," said Delilah, looking pointedly at Reyna.
"You don't try provoking me, I'll be cool," said Reyna evenly.
"Likewise," answered Delilah's sweetly.
"Reyna Cade," said Reyna, holding her hand out to both of them.
"Delilah Rosier," said Delilah with a drawl.
"Giana Hill," added Gianna then grinned," I have a feeling the drama is just about to start."
And I have a feeling you're right, Gianna. But how much my family and I can handle? I don't know. Reyna thought and she got ready for bed.
Author's Note:
You'll notice many new characters entering the story that aren't from the Harry Potter series. All their roles will be explained soon enough. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll gladly accept any ideas or suggestions you may have.
By the way, Reyna and Rylan are one year older than Harry so the Golden trio won't be arriving until next year.
