Author's Note: The combatants representing the G.I. JOE side are going to be their generic "Greenshirts" that are used as extras for the large all-out battle scenes and representing the Rainbow Six side will be the "Reserves" a.k.a. "Back-Ups" that appear once a large amount of named operatives have been lost during a playthrough.

WHO IS DEADLIEST?!
To find out, we've assembled a team of world-class fighters to test history's most lethal weapons. Using 21st-century science, we'll see what happens when two warriors go toe to toe.
No rules. No safety. No mercy. It's a duel to the death to decide who is...THE FICTIONAL DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
Here in our elite fight club, we have gathered doctors, scientists and weapons experts to test out the lethal arsenals wielded by each of our combatants to determine who would win a fight between two warriors who never met in a face to face duel:

"Today, we have a battle between two top-secret spec ops groups who operate all over the world. In one corner you have G.I. JOE and in the other, you have Rainbow Six," biomedical scientist Bradley Foster started.
"G.I. JOE is the reason Cobra has not taken over the world and the Rainbow operators have thwarted numerous different kinds of terroristic activities. They only recruit the best of the best from counter-terrorist agencies worldwide. Their operatives are expertly trained in different specialties, physically and mentally toughened, and ready for anything," trauma doctor Joseph Kaiser spoke.
"As you've said, these guys are the best of the best when it comes to special operations. You know they have the best state of the art equipment for their missions and I'm eager to see how they put it to the test and how it affects the final battle," computer expert Eddie Cortez piped in.
"Well, we've got our warriors ready. Now, it's time to get some data!" Bradley concluded.
The camera cut to a blond-haired man in an olive drab combat uniform with brown boots on. He inspects an assault rifle before pointing it at the screen.
Up first to represent the Joes will be First Sergeant Conrad "Duke" Hauser.
A long time field commander and second-in-command, Duke has fought on the front lines of the Joe's most dangerous missions. He is an expert on their weapons and tactics.
"Not taking anything away from Rainbow, but when they go up against us, they are messing with the original and the best," Duke spoke confidently.
The camera then pans over to a woman with long red hair she has pulled back in a ponytail and wearing a black bodysuit with a tan vest, boots, and gloves on. She has a sniper rifle on its deployed tripod laid out on the table in front of her and is peering through the scope.
Also representing the Joes will be Shana O'Hara, code-named "Scarlett."
A counterintelligence operative with the elite unit, Scarlett has carried out missions for the Joes all over the world and has faced down some of their deadliest adversaries.
"Rainbow hasn't fought anything like we have before. That makes the Joe's deadlier by default," Scarlett smirked.
When a series of bold attacks by a mysterious paramilitary organization put the United States and the rest of the world on edge, a team was formed as a rapid response. Designed to work around the limitations conventional military forces were subjected to, this group quickly became the go-to when new threats arose. This unit was Special Counter-terrorist Group Delta, but it was from the influence of the famed General Joseph Colton this group would become popularly known as "G.I. JOE."
"The Joes were founded to combat this new organization that was causing chaos at an alarming rate. Little did we know, this group would go on to become our greatest enemy," Duke spoke, his tone taking a darker edge.
It was through the rise of the notorious terrorist organization Cobra that G.I. JOE would go on to serve its greatest purpose, its highly-trained operatives thwarting numerous attempts at world domination and other actions that could have resulted in massive catastrophes.
"The Joes are like no other. There is no threat too big or too small for us to handle. We are trained to fight in all environments and with the most experimental technology known to man. When a threat arises, a JOE never backs down," Scarlett proclaimed.
The Joes charge into battle with a reliable arsenal for battling the forces of Cobra and other threats:
Short Range: Glock 21
Mid-Range: Kriss Vector
Long-Range Assault: FN SCAR-L
Long Range Sniper: PGM Ultima Ratio
Special Weapons: Milkor MGL
But what kind of chances will the real American heroes stand when they are pitted against a similar elite unit?
The camera cuts to a man in a charcoal-colored urban camouflage outfit with a black helmet and pair of attached night vision goggles. He points a pistol at the screen and slowly walks forth.
Up first to represent Rainbow Six will be Logan Keller.
A former Marine and Delta Force operator, Keller currently serves as a squad leader within the Rainbow ranks.
"Rainbow only recruits from the best NATO has to offer. Delta Force, the SEALs, the SAS, you name them, we've got them in our ranks," Keller confidently proclaimed in his thick Southern accent.
The camera then cuts to a blonde-haired woman wearing a navy blue t-shirt, gray combat pants, black boots, along with assorted tactical gear. She slams a fresh clip into an assault rifle and points at an imaginary enemy.
Also on hand to represent the Rainbow Six will be Meghan Castellano, code-named "Valkyrie."
A former Navy SEAL and recent recruit to the newly reformed Rainbow, Valkyrie has partaken in several high-risk missions in South American countries on behalf of the elite unit and knows plenty about their weapons and tactics.
"Nothing personal against the Joes, but they'd better leave it to the pros," Valkyrie nodded.
Founded in 1999 by NATO, Team Rainbow was established in answer to concerns over rising international terrorism, intended to assemble a team of elite counter-terrorist operatives from all over the world. The group would quickly prove itself combating several terrorist attacks orchestrated by the Phoenix Group, culminating in them successfully thwarting the release of the Ebola Brahma virus 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
"It was an act that would have decimated humanity had it come to fruition. Rainbow knew what was at stake and rose to the occasion to stop it. It was after that campaign that Rainbow became well known. We became the monster under the bed terrorists everywhere had to be on the lookout for," Logan explained.
The group's reputation would be further cemented over the following years as they carried out successful campaigns against terrorist groups, anarchist movements, and criminal organizations until they were disbanded in 2012 with the threat of terrorist incidents at an all-time low. The unit would not remain dormant long as a surge of attacks along with the emergence of the White Masks saw Rainbow reactivated in 2015, where they continue to fight worldwide threats to this day.
"Rainbow does not play by the rules. Our sole objective is to complete the mission and see to it that everybody goes home alive in the end. We will do what we have to see that happens and we do it well," Valkyrie concluded.
The elite counter-terrorism unit relies upon an advanced arsenal for battling worldwide threats:
Short Range: SDP 9mm
Mid-Range: SPSMG9
Long-Range Assault: SG 552 Commando
Long Range Sniper: SR-25 Sniper Rifle
Special Weapons: H&K M320
When the battle went to close range, both operatives relied upon their trusted firearms. For G.I. JOE, they relied upon their trusted Glock 21.

Duke and Logan both stepped forth before the panelists with their sidearms drawn.
"Alright gentlemen, listen up. We have a hostage scenario with terrorists having overtaken a bistro. We have an unknown number of hostiles and an unknown number of innocents. Your objective is to first shoot out all the lights and then take each terrorist down without harming any of the hostages," Bradley explained as he motioned towards a makeshift room with foam torsos seated at a number of tables, including one standing behind a bar counter. Also present were a few targets outfitted with black balaclavas. "Duke, you're up first."
"Got it," Duke said as he took his position outside the bistro.
"Duke, are you ready?" Bradley called out.
"Ready!" the Joe called out raising his pistol.
"Then on 3...2...1, clear them out!"
Duke ran over and shot out the light closest to him before switching his aim and shattering the second, repeating the process two more times before entering the bistro.
He found himself in an enclosure filled with circular tables where two foam targets sat at each and quickly he found another target clad in a black balaclava. He raised the gun and fired three shots into its chest before a second "terrorist" appeared and he followed up with two rounds to its chest. He moved further along and took down a third target with two rounds to the chest before a door swung open behind him and a fourth emerged, yet he was quicker and finished off the target with his two last shots before his gun clicked empty.
"Wouldn't be a problem with us," Logan commented as Duke quickly ejected the spent clip and slid in a fresh one as he proceeded further into the bistro and came to the counter, where a civilian target stood. Another terrorist target popped up behind the civilian and the first sergeant steadied his aim before firing a round that tore through the hostile's head.
"Time!" Bradley called out before looking down at his stopwatch, "15 seconds! Good job."
Dr. Kaiser made his way into the enclosure and made his way over to inspect the first target, "You emptied 3 rounds into this guy's chest in a close grouping that tore through his lung and aorta for an instant kill. With your following targets, you've got all double taps to the chest, really done in by the sheer power of the .45 rounds. With your last target, you pulled off a tricky shot and managed to get him in the side of the head for another instant kill.
"All in all, you scored 5 hostile kills with no hostage fatalities. Good job," Dr. Kaiser reported.
"It was an impressive showing, but I can't overlook how you had to reload in the middle of an active shootout. No terrorists are just gonna sit there and wait for you like that," Logan spoke up while showing off his gun, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna show you how it's done."
Logan took his position outside of the bistro and waited for the signal.
"Logan, are you ready?" Bradley called out.
"Hell yeah!" Logan called back.
"Then on 3...2...1, move out!"
Logan raised the SDP and shot out the light closest to him before the following suit with the other three lights.
The Rainbow operator then pushed his way into the bistro and dropped his first target with 3 shots to the chest before turning his sights to the next target as it zoomed in to view and firing 3 more rounds into its chest as well. He moved further along and fired 2 rounds into the next target before a door swung open behind him and the fourth target emerged, only to fall after two more rounds were fired. He then approached the bistro counter where the final target popped up behind a civilian target and he fired a round that sailed through its face.
"Time!" Bradley called out and looked down at his stopwatch, "13 seconds! Good job."
Dr. Kaiser made his way into the enclosure to examine the damage done to all targets, starting with the first, "You emptied 3 rounds into this guy's chest, not as much damage compared to the Glock's rounds, yet it still did the job and this guy would be dead before he hit the ground. You repeated the process with your next guy and in a similar fashion with a close-knit grouping in the chest. Your next two targets you dialed things back a bit with 2 shots each, but still, 2 kills. Your last target was dead set, right between the eyes. Instant lights out. All together you have 4 dead hostiles with no hostage fatalities."
"That was a good showing, but in the end, I still have the harder hitting round," Duke commented.
Both pistols showed off their usefulness in the heat of battle, but where do our panelists stand?
"I carefully examined the damage done by both guns and while the SDP holds 3 more rounds compared to the Joes' Glock, the Glock still has the harder hitting round. I'm calling this one even," Dr. Kaiser started.
"Ultimately, I think it's going to fall to the man behind the gun itself. I'm calling this one even," Bradley seconded.
"I'm with both of you on this one. They have the strengths that allow them to stand up to the other," Eddie concluded.
In short-range weapons, our warriors are even.
Coming up, it's a full-auto assault when our experts attempt to foil a major terrorist attack.

G.I. JOE and Rainbow Six, two elite counter-terrorism organizations fiercely devoted to their respective causes.
"When you join the Joes, it's a full-time commitment. You give up all means of living a normal life and ties to your family," Scarlett explained.
"Rainbow spends countless hours analyzing its enemies for any weaknesses to exploit, always working to stay one step ahead of them," Valkyrie explained.
When both teams needed to storm enemy-held positions in rapid time, they relied on a combination of rapid-fire submachine guns and assault rifles to cut through the waves of enemies charging them. For Rainbow Six, they relied first upon the SPSMG9.

Logan and Valkyrie stood outside of another makeshift structure, Logan armed with the 552 Commando and Valkyrie with the MG9.
"Alright Team Rainbow, listen up! We've got a hostage scenario with a bomb involved. Your objective is to clear out all the terrorists in the office without harming any civilians present. This will be a timed test where you are given 2 minutes to reach the room where the 'bomb' is located. Once you've reached your destination, the timer is deactivated and the test is over," Bradley explained.
"Understood," Logan spoke as he and Valkyrie took their positions at each side of the door leading in.
"Team Rainbow, are you ready?" Bradley called out.
"Ready!" they called back in unison.
"Then on 3...2...1, clear them out!"
Logan kicked the door open and Valkyrie followed up by tossing a flashbang inside. Following the loud bang, both operators made their way through and found themselves in a narrow corridor, where Valkyrie fired a burst into the chest of the closest target, while Logan set his sights on a target further down the hall and dropped it with a three-shot burst to its chest. The duo came to a halt as it came time to turn the corner and Valkyrie tossed another flashbang into the open before they pressed further along.
The duo rounded the corner and fired off their guns simultaneously, each tearing through a target. They came to a T-intersection and nodded to each other before taking separate paths, with Logan going left and encountering an unarmed civilian target just feet away from a terrorist. He aimed high and fired two rounds through the dummy's head before pushing his way past to the door beyond.
On the opposite end, Valkyrie encountered two civilian targets and a hostile target between them. She raised her submachine gun and fired a burst into the hostile's chest before pushing past them and coming to another door.
Both Logan and Valkyrie were reunited after kicking through their respective doors and found themselves in a large open "office" with desks and cubicle walls, and civilian targets behind each of the desks. They reacted with lightning speed as two hostile targets sprung into view, peppering them with their respective firearms before pushing further along and Logan dropped another target with two shots that split its head down the middle.
Eventually, the duo reached another door and Logan again kicked it open, finding themselves in a small room with the "bomb" and 3 hostiles present. Raising their guns, they let loose a flurry that peppered the villainous trio and with that, the timer stopped.
"Area clear!" Logan called out.
Dr. Kaiser made his way into the structure and began checking over all of the targets to make sure the hostiles were all dead and the innocents were left unharmed.
"Out of 12 hostile targets, you have 12 kills with no innocents harmed. Great job!" Dr. Kaiser reported.
"And you carried this out with 41 seconds to go. Right on time," Bradley added.
"Team Joe, your thoughts?" Eddie asked Duke and Scarlett.
"It was a good showing, but now is the time to show them how it's done right," Scarlett said looking over to Duke and nodding.
To answer Rainbow's challenge, the Joes fire back with their own trusted one, two punch, starting with an idea rapid-fire killer for close-quarters combat, the KRISS Vector.

Kriss Vector

Duke and Scarlett now stood outside of the crude structure, Duke armed with the SCAR-L and Scarlett armed with the KRISS Vector.
"Alright Team Joe, it's the same scenario for you. Get in, wipe out the terrorists, disarm the bomb, and don't harm the hostages," Bradley explained.
"You got it," Duke said as he and Scarlett got into their respective positions.
"Team Joe, are you ready?" Bradley called out.
"Yo Joe!" Duke and Scarlett shouted in unison.
"Then on 3...2...1, clear them out!"
Duke booted the door open and Scarlett tossed a flashbang inside. Following the explosion, the duo pushed their way inside and Scarlett fired a controlled burst into the chest of a target close to her, while Duke raised his rifle and fired into the target further away down the corridor. They pushed their way further down until they came to the end, which Scarlett would then pull out another flashbang and chuck it around the corner.
They then rounded the corner and were met by two more targets with Duke firing a three-shot burst into a farther away target and Scarlett firing another short, controlled burst into the hostile closest to her. They eventually came to the divergence at the end with Scarlett taking a left and making her way down a hall, where she encountered a "hostage crisis" involving an unarmed target and a terrorist, quickly cutting down the hostile with a 3 shot burst, while Duke went down the opposite hall and encountered two civilians and the terrorist in between them, firing a single shot through the hostile's face.
They both came to doors at their ends and pushed their way through, finding themselves reunited in the large "office," where two hostile targets sprung into view among the civilians and they fired into them with their respective weapons before a third sprung into view that was dropped by another 3 shot burst from Duke's rifle.
Eventually, they would reach the end and came to another door that Scarlett roundhouse kicked open, coming to the office with the "bomb" at the end and the 3 hostiles guarding it. Both troopers raised their rifle and submachine gun and tore through the remaining targets in a gory spectacle.
"Area secured!" Duke called out.
As before, Dr. Kaiser made his way inside and carefully inspected all targets to make sure the hostiles were knocked out of commission and the civilians were left unharmed.
"Out of 12 hostiles, I can confirm 12 kills with no civilians injured. Good job!" the good doctor reported.
"And you accomplished this with 39 seconds left," Bradley reported.
"Sure took your sweet time," Logan chuckled.
"The Joes ALWAYS make sure they get the job done," Duke answered.
"I noticed you were much more cautious with the Vector as opposed to going hog wild," Eddie commented to Scarlett.
"This gun might not have as many bullets, but it forced me to act in a more disciplined fashion with controlled bursts that forced me to take down my targets much quicker," she replied.
Both teams successfully carried out their assigned tasks, but where do our panelists stand?
"Starting with the submachine guns, I personally think this is going to be a case where it falls down to the man behind the gun. The MG9 has the greater clip capacity, but the Kriss has the more powerful round. I'm calling this even," Bradley started.
"While I am aware of the comparison we had between the power of both rounds earlier, I am still tempted to give the edge to the MG9 because it allowed for greater recoil control and had a faster rate of fire," Dr. Kaiser countered.
The tiebreaker would fall down to Eddie.
"I'm with Doc on this one. The faster rate of fire wins me over, edge Rainbow Six," Eddie concluded.
In mid-ranged weapons, Rainbow Six takes the edge with the SPSMG9.
"Moving on to assault rifles, this is another very close call for me as both these rifles are very similar in many ways, but the SCAR's greater effective range wins it for me in the end," Bradley started.
"Better accuracy, better effective range, I'm with the SCAR also," Dr. Kaiser seconded.
"Me three," Eddie concluded.
In long-range assault weapons, G.I. JOE takes the edge with the FN SCAR-L.
Coming up, our elite agents show off their sharpshooting skills thanks to their sniper rifles. Then later, find out what happens when two elite counter-terrorism units face off for the first time ever!

G.I. JOE, the Real American Hero, or Rainbow Six, the "blacker than black" spec ops.
Both units pride themselves on operating with surgical precision, especially regarding high-risk operations. When needing to take down a highly dangerous target or complete a dramatic hostage rescue, both units rely upon their tactical snipers, who in turn rely upon trusted rifles to carry out their tasks.
For the Joes, they relied upon a French-made killer to pick off their foes from a distance, the PGM Ultima Ratio.

"This bad boy has up to 800 meters of effective killing range. Any Cobra that enters our crosshairs is going down. End of story," Scarlett said as she showed off the sniper rifle for the panelists.
"We have a two-part test to test your rifle out. First, we want to see your rifle's killing power and have 3 terrorist targets set up. For the second part, we want to see your accuracy and have another hostage scenario set up," Bradley said motioning further down the range, where 3 foam targets stood and behind them was a raised platform with a wall and a window set up.
"An important dignitary has been taken hostage, represented by the dummy seen in the window. The ballistic gel bust next to it is your terrorist. You only have one shot. If you miss, the target has just killed your hostage," Bradley explained.
"Understood," Scarlett said before climbing the ladder to the elevated platform. She took a prone position and positioned her rifle, peering through the scope and making her adjustments to compensate for the wind and other factors. Once everything was set into place, she fired her first round square in the center of her first target's chest to the cheers of the panelists.
Scarlett pulled back the bolt to eject the empty shell casing before firing her second shot through the collarbone of her second target, then having to repeat the same motion as before, costing her vital milliseconds as she took aim on her third target and had to readjust her aim before firing a shot into its stomach.
With the three targets in front accounted for, she set her sights on the terrorist in the window and his "hostage." With her aim adjusted, she took a deep breath and exhaled as she pulled the trigger, her round piercing the glass and striking the gel head in its left eye socket, albeit perilously close to the hostage.
"Damn, did you see that? That's like watching an egg exploding from the inside out," Eddie commented as he watched the bullet striking its target on the slow-motion footage.
Dr. Kaiser made his way over to examine the targets on the ground, starting with the guy struck in the chest, "Perfect shot and instant lights out," he said before making his way over to the second target, "This guy's collarbone is shattered and you've torn through all the muscles, nerves and blood vessels. 2 for 2," he said before looking to the third target and the gaping wound left in its stomach, "You tore through this guy's large intestine for a rapid bleed out, and a very slow, agonizing passing."
Dr. Kaiser then made his way over to the opposite platform and examined both targets, starting with the terrorist. "You hit this guy through the left eye for an instant kill shot. He's dead before he hits the ground. However, I must note that it was dangerously close to your hostage and would leave them in a traumatized state. A few more inches to the right, you could have risked hitting them. All in all, we have one dead bad guy and one alive, but shaken hostage."
"Team Rainbow, your thoughts?" Bradley asked.
"That was some good shooting, but you still have to rework the bolt after every single shot you take. We have a semi-automatic rifle, so we can follow up with our next shot right away," Valkyrie replied.
To counter the Joe's attack, Rainbow Six responds with an American-made death dealer that has seen extensive use in recent conflicts, the SR-25 sniper rifle.
(A Rainbow operator is shown perched on a rooftop across from an embassy, taking aim with his SR-25 at a terrorist holding dignitaries hostage and firing a round that travels through the window and into the gunman's head.)

"This rifle has seen plenty of action in both the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. It can hold up to 20 rounds if necessary," Valkyrie explained.
"Well, it's the same test for you, Valkyrie. You 3 targets on the ground and then one on the platform with your hostage. You have one shot. If you miss, the hostage is dead," Bradley spoke.
"Who says I plan to miss?" Valkyrie replied before climbing the ladder and taking her position. She set up her rifle and made all the necessary adjustments before peering through the scope and taking aim. She took a deep breath and exhaled before firing a round that tore through her first target's neck before following up with her second shot through the second target's chest and followed with a third round through the last ground target's chest also before turning her sights to the last target and the "hostage scenario."
She took a deep breath and exhaled before firing a round that pierced the glass and struck her target closer to the center of its forehead, tearing away layers of gel and sending stage blood flying all over.
"Damn, that's gonna be quite the mess to clean up," Eddie commented.
Dr. Kaiser made his way over to assess the damage, starting with the ground targets. "With your first guy, you tore right through his carotid artery. He'll bleed out within seconds," he said before examining the second target, "Right through this guy's sternum for another quick kill, and then you follow your third up with a shot that went slightly higher, yet still destroying the sternum for another quick kill."
He then made his way up to the platform to examine the last terrorist, "You nailed this guy in the dead center of his forehead. Instant lights out. You also nailed him farther away from the hostage, a safer shot, and less trauma for them. As it was before, we've got one dead terrorist and one still very much alive, but shaken hostage."
"We pride ourselves on precision," Valkyrie nodded.
Both sniper rifles showed off their killing abilities, but where do our panelists stand?
"I'm with the SR-25 all the way. The Ultima Ratio is a bolt-action rifle, meaning you have to work the bolt every time you fire, while the SR-25 has the ability to follow up shots right away," Bradley started.
"The SR-25 also has the further effective range and if necessary, can carry more rounds. Edge Rainbow Six," Eddie followed up.
"This may fall down to the discipline of the individual shooter, but Valkyrie pulled off the safer shot, which I think can be a testament to the greater accuracy and overall effectiveness of the SR-25," Dr. Kaiser concluded.
In long-ranged sniper rifles, Rainbow Six takes the edge with the SR-25 sniper rifle.
Coming up, things get explosive when grenade launchers are put to the test.
And then, later on, G.I. JOE and Rainbow Six will collide in a fearsome squad battle to determine who is "The Fictional Deadliest Warrior!"

Logan stood outside of a small building with the grenade launcher in hand.
"Alright Logan, here's the scenario. We've got an enemy command post set up with 4 terrorists inside. All targets are set up with 38G shock patches, which will turn red to show that the target is disoriented, along with 100G patches that will turn red to let you know the target is dead from the concussion of the blast. Care to demonstrate?" Bradley asked.
"Thought you'd never ask," Logan replied getting into position.
"Then on 3...2...1, light 'em up!"
Taking careful aim, Logan squeezed the trigger and a loud 'bloop' followed as the explosive shell was sent flying through an opened window. A second later there was an explosion from within and debris was sent flying through the windows. The panelists had to wait for the smoke to clear before anything else could be done.
"Alright, let's go check it out," Bradley said leading the way.
They made their way into the now ravaged command center to find what remained of the inhabitants as Dr. Kaiser began sifting through the debris to examine all of the fallen targets, "All of these guys have their 100G patches tripped, meaning they were killed by the concussive force of the blast itself."
"Not only that, check this out," Eddie said kneeling down and lifting up one of the fallen dummies to show off a dummy the jagged wooden shards sticking out of its surface.
"It's a double-edged situation when I see the bits of debris stuck in all of these guys. If the concussion of the blast doesn't kill them, the shrapnel alone can," the good doctor commented as he pulled a jagged piece of wood from one of the target's necks.
"What a mess indeed," Bradley spoke before turning his attention to Duke, "Think you'll be able to top this?"
"I don't think. I know. I've got the bigger bang and more rounds to pull it off," Duke nodded.

Duke stood outside a command post with his launcher in hand.
"This type of launcher is meant to significantly increase an entire squad's firepower as opposed to a typical single-shot launcher. In this case, I've got 6 shots to prove my point," the first sergeant explained showing off his weapon.
"Alright Duke, it's the same test for you. You've got 4 terrorists inside. Let's take them out," Bradley spoke.
"Roger that," Duke replied getting into position.
"Duke, on 3...2...1, light 'em up!"
Duke took aim and fired an explosive shell that soared through an opened window and an explosion followed that sent debris flying out from within. Duke wasn't finished and fired a second shell that resulted in another violent blast that took out a large portion of an exterior wall as the panelists cheered him on.
"Man, you really put some rage into that," Eddie commented.
"It's what happens when you have the extra rounds," Duke chuckled.
The panelists had to wait for the smoke to clear before making their entrance, but having to step around portions of the blasted wall before they were inside and able to get a closer look at the fallen targets.
"This is even worse than before," Dr. Kaiser commented as he was forced to push aside several fallen planks to get to the fallen, shredded targets underneath, finding that all of their patches had been tripped, "There's no way nobody would survive something this bad."
"Especially thanks to the cherry on top Duke was all too kind to provide," Eddie added.
Both grenade launchers showed off their deadly killing power, but where do our panelists stand in the end?
"Hands down, the Milkor MGL. It's 6 rounds versus just one," Bradley started.
"The only edge I see with the M320 is its lighter weight that makes it easier to maneuver with, but with everything else the edge goes to the Milkor MGL," Dr. Kaiser seconded.
"And I'm a third in favor of the Milkor," Eddie concluded.
In explosive weapons, G.I. JOE takes the edge with the Milkor MGL.
As it is with all warriors, there is a critical X-factor that makes them who they are. For both of these warriors, it's the variety of specialties possessed by their individual members and the extensive vetting which is used to determine who will serve in their ranks.
"The Joes have individual operatives who specialize in everything from sniping to demolitions to amphibious warfare. All of our operatives have previous experience in some form of military or special operations expertise and our higher-ups only choose the best of the best the American forces have to offer," Scarlett explained.
"Rainbow selects its members from all NATO-affiliated nations, all of whom are picked from their best counter-terrorism and law enforcement agencies. All of our operatives undergo extensive psych evaluations to gain a better understanding of them. They want to make sure you have that adaptability to do whatever is needed, whether it's rescuing hostages, dismantling weapons of mass destruction, or capturing a high-ranking terrorist," Valkyrie explained.
Coming up, it's a battle between two elite spec ops units to decide who is "The Fictional Deadliest Warrior!"
XXXXXXXXXX
With our testing complete and our X-factors evaluated, we are now one step closer to determining who will be "The Fictional Deadliest Warrior."
Our teams tested 5 weapons used by G.I. JOE: the Glock 21 handgun, Kriss Vector submachine gun, FN SCAR-L assault rifle, PGM Ultima Ratio sniper rifle, and the Milkor MGL.
On the opposite side, 5 weapons used by Rainbow Six were tested: the SDP 9mm handgun, SPSMG9 submachine gun, SG 552 Commando assault rifle, SR-25 sniper rifle, and the H&K M320 grenade launcher.
In short-range weapons, the Glock's harder-hitting round pitted it evenly against the SDP's extra rounds.
EDGE: Even
In mid-ranged weapons, the MG9's greater clip capacity and recoil control allowed it to mow down the Kriss Vector.
EDGE: Rainbow Six
For long-range assault rifles, the SCAR-L's greater effective range cut down the 552's attack.
EDGE: G.I. JOE
For sniper rifles, the semi-automatic function of the SR-25 shot down the PGM's antiquated bolt-action counter-attack.
EDGE: Rainbow Six
And lastly, the extra rounds of the Milkor MGL blew away the M320.
EDGE: G.I. JOE
Our scientists and weapons experts are done testing. The results are in and the time has come to decide who will be the victor. The battle will be fought in a 6-on-6 squad battle between 6 G.I. JOE green shirts and 6 Rainbow operators. To ensure the battle won't be decided by a single lucky blow, the battle will be simulated one thousand times in a duel to the death.
Who will win in a battle between two elite forces?
Spec Ops
(G.I. JOE troopers storm a Cobra outpost and gun down the troops inside.)
vs. Spec Ops
(Rainbow operators are shown gunning down White Mask members in one of their secret bases.)
Surgical Precision
(A Rainbow sniper shoots down a Phoenix Group leader as he barks orders at his henchmen.)
vs. Brute Force
(Two Joe troopers ambush a group of Cobra troopers near a HISS tank, blowing them to bits with repeated blasts from their grenade launchers.)
A Real American Hero
(A group of G.I. JOE troopers stand tall in a recently liberated city.)
vs. NATO's Secret Weapon
(Rainbow operators watch from the shadows as terrorists move about in a jungle camp.)
"This is a battle I've looked forward to for a long time. Let's rock n' roll!" Eddie said as he typed in the final commands.

We are taken to an abandoned city ravaged by warfare as a 6 man squad from the elite black-ops unit Rainbow Six is making its way to an abandoned factory. The group comes to a locked gate and one of the troops pulls out a pair of bolt cutters, snipping the lock open and enabling them to make their way inside.
Rainbow Six: 6
Meanwhile, on the opposite side, an APC pulls up and a group of men clad in olive drab combat uniforms with matching combat helmets comes piling out of the back, all the members looking around with weapons drawn for any threats. They are members of the elite American spec ops unit G.I. JOE.
G.I. JOE: 6
The Joe's leader motions for his men to halt and looks over to a man carrying a PGM Ultima Ratio sniper rifle, motioning for him to take a perch on a nearby rooftop. Using hand signals, he motions for his remaining men to split up with 2 men going in one direction and the others following him close behind.
On the other side, the Rainbow operators enter the factory through a collapsed portion of an exterior wall and the leader motions for them to halt, looking around for any threats before he motions for his men to split up into teams of 2 with 2 groups splitting off and going in opposite directions while he motions for an operator equipped with an H&K M320 grenade launcher to come with him.
All operators are making their way along while the Joe sniper remains at his perch until he spots a man in a black urban combat uniform with a matching helmet and gas mask.
"Contact. Possible hostile target," the man speaks into a mic attached to his helmet.
"Engage when ready," the Joe sergeant replies.
Taking aim and lining up his shot, the Joe sniper fires a round that sails through a broken window and nails the Rainbow operator in his chest.
G.I. JOE: 6 – Rainbow Six: 5
The shot echoes through the area and the dead Rainbow's partner takes cover behind a support pillar. Equipped with an SR-25 sniper rifle, he listens for any more shots before he bolts further down the hallway.
Elsewhere in the factory, all operators have been alerted by the gunshot and are scrambling for any signs of hostile forces, a duo of Rainbow operators coming into contact with a duo of Joe troopers and engaging them in a back and forth gun battle of assault rifle and submachine gunfire.
The Kriss-toting Joe looked to his colleague and ran across an open area to draw the attention of the Rainbow operators, firing away as his colleague aimed with his SCAR-L and fired a cluster that managed to wound one of the Rainbows, but yet they continued bravely fighting on and wounded the Kriss-toting Joe and sent him hobbling for cover.
The two Rainbows split up to take both Joes, with the wounded Rainbow going after the wounded Joe and the other going after the rifle-toting Joe, the bullets still flying from both sides.
Both the rifle-toting combatants ducked behind long-abandoned machinery as they exchanged gunfire that would continue until the Joe trooper found an opening and fired a 3 shot burst from his SCAR-L that caught the Rainbow operator in the side that left him slumping against a rusted control console before he fired another burst that put the man out of his misery.
G.I. JOE: 6 – Rainbow Six: 4
There was the loud pounding of footsteps behind him and the Joe trooper whirled around as a loud 'bloop' sounded and he was met by an explosive shell landing at his feet, the blast launching him airborne and severing both his legs beneath the knee caps, yet it was the hard impact against the concrete floor that shattered his skull and left him dead.
G.I. JOE: 5 – Rainbow Six: 4
The Rainbow squad leader and the grenadier looked over to the fallen Joe and then over to their fallen comrade, nodding quietly as they chased after the other man.
The duo found themselves climbing a flight of metal stairs and making their way onto a catwalk as they heard gunfire being exchanged in the distance, only to be halted as another gunshot rang out from a distance and a bullet bounced off the metal support beam near the squad leader's head. There was another that nearly struck the grenadier and they were sent running to dodge another cluster of shots fired their way.
The Joe sniper had his sights on the Rainbow duo running along the catwalk and was waiting for them as they briefly vanished behind the brick wall obscuring his view. He was waiting for them to get back into his line of vision before he was distracted by a sudden reflection off a glass surface and suddenly found himself scrambling, but it was too late as another gunshot rang out and he fell dead with a shot through his left eye.
G.I. JOE: 4 – Rainbow Six: 4
The Joe's sniper had been dealt with and the Rainbow sniper shifted his sights to a trio of Joe troopers he saw running along the ground level and fired a trio of shots that sent them scattering for cover, yet one of the Joes was carrying a Milkor MGL and looked on as the trooper was getting ready to fire an explosive shell, which left him grabbing his rifle and scampering for cover before the shell connected and the following explosion sent him falling hard to the ground.
The sniper pushed himself back to his feet with a labored grunt, only to halt as he felt guns upon him, but was relieved to look up and see his squad leader and the grenadier standing before him. With a nod, he slung his rifle over his shoulder and withdrew his sidearm as they took off together.
Elsewhere, the wounded Joe trooper is still being hunted by the wounded Rainbow operator, who had his MG9 out and was following the telltale trail of blood that led him down a corridor and take a left into a locker room, where the Joe popped out and fired a flurry from his Kriss that the Rainbow barely dodged before the NATO operator returned fire and his MG9 clicked empty. With no time to reload, he drew his SDP 9mm and listened for his adversary before he noticed a shadow moving along the wall to his right and he popped out to fire a round that tore through his opponent's shoulder, yet the Joe still tackled him and sent him flying hard against the wall.
A back and forth struggle followed between both men with the Rainbow driving his fist into the Joe's injured shoulder, causing the man to cry out in pain. He then shoved the man back into a row of lockers and tried to lock his opponent in an armbar submission hold, yet the Joe trooper summoned the strength to strike his enemy with his weapon before sending the man hobbling backward. With a labored grunt, he jammed the Kriss Vector's barrel beneath his opponent's chin before he depressed the trigger and fired a flurry that obliterated his opponent's face.
G.I. JOE: 4 – Rainbow Six: 3
The wounded Joe collapsed back against the locker and slinked down into a sitting position, looking weakly towards his fallen opponent before succumbing to blood loss.
G.I. JOE: 3 – Rainbow Six: 3
Elsewhere in the factory, the surviving Rainbow operators have banded back together with the sergeant leading the way with his 552 Commando drawn, flanked on both sides by his sniper and grenadier. They progressed further down another large corridor filled with metal containers and other random clutter, searching for their new adversaries.
Meanwhile, the Joe's sergeant had regrouped with his own grenadier and other surviving trooper and was making their way into the abandoned factory in search of any remaining enemy troopers, when they rounded a corner and the third trooper walked straight into a flurry of combined automatic fire.
G.I. JOE: 2 – Rainbow Six: 3
The Joe sergeant rolled for cover behind a metal container and peeked out to fire a blast, while the grenadier raised his Milkor MGL and fired an explosive shell that sent the Rainbow operators scattering. He quickly followed up with another blast before the sergeant stepped out and they chased their enemies further into the facility, yet halted his colleague when he saw the Rainbow's grenadier disappear into a side hallway. He spotted an electrical box still mounted to the wall near the man and he raised his SCAR-L and opened fire.
The Rainbow grenadier popped open his launcher and was ready to load another shell when a bullet fired by one of the Joes struck an electrical box, a bright flash blinding him and the shower of sparks sending him rushing further down the narrow hall, only to find himself at a dead end.
He turned around to find the Joe's grenadier waiting for him with his Milkor MGL drawn and fumbled for his SDP, but it was too late and the Joe fired an explosive shell that blew him to bits.
G.I. JOE: 2 – Rainbow Six: 2
The remaining Rainbow operators were forced to lower ground, finding themselves in a boiler room moving further along looking for a better defensive position as they waited for the remaining Joes to make their entrance.
It wasn't long before the Joes arrived with the grenadier switching over to his Glock 21, given the possibility of cramped quarters and still dangerous machinery being present. They moved along a narrow catwalk with the sergeant taking the lead and the grenadier providing cover, the former opening fire when he thought he saw movement along the floor.
Both Rainbow operators returned fire, causing sparks to fly as their bullets connected with the metallic surfaces surrounding the Joes, yet both men ran about as quickly as they could across the narrow surface until the Rainbow leader fired a burst from his 552 Commando that caught the Joe grenadier in his side and sent him falling. Seeing his colleague's predicament, the Joe sergeant fired another wild burst before reaching down to grab the fallen man and drag him to safety.
The Rainbow agents made their way to the higher level and again split up with the sniper going left and the sergeant going right as the Joe sergeant dragged his wounded comrade to safety, both men ducking into a narrow path between two large generators as the Rainbow sniper found them and fired upon them with his sidearm.
The Joe grenadier is bleeding out heavily from his wounds, yet the sergeant continues dragging him along, refusing to leave a man behind. Even as the bullets ricochet off the metal surrounding him, he continues dragging the wounded man along until they come to the end and another rattle of gunfire forces him to drop his colleague and return fire as the Rainbow sergeant pops into view. Even with his wounds, the Joe grenadier bravely continues fighting and fires upon the Rainbow operator with his Glock 21, only to be halted as another salvo of lead tears through him.
G.I. JOE: 1 – Rainbow Six: 2
The Joe sergeant meanwhile was distracted as the Rainbow sniper continued firing upon him and continued darting back and forth between machinery, firing the occasional shot until his rifle clicked empty and he was forced to reload. As he ducked low, he listened for the Rainbow operator's footsteps and listened as the man drew closer before he leaped out and drove the stock of his rifle into the man's gut and then kicked him to the ground before finishing him off with a three-shot burst that tore through his neck and face.
G.I. JOE: 1 – Rainbow Six: 1
The Joe sergeant turned to find the Rainbow squad leader staring him down from a distance. He wasted no time and raised his rifle firing a burst that sent the operator diving for cover behind another machine. Bullets would fly back and forth until the Rainbow leader's 552 Commando clicked empty and he was left reaching for his SDP. He listened for the attacking Joe sergeant and popped out to fire a trio of shots that managed to knock the sergeant's SCAR-L from his hands.
The Joe grunted at the fresh wave of pain sent through his arms, yet he shrugged it off and drew his Glock 21, popping out and firing two rounds that sent the Rainbow sergeant shrinking back behind the generator he was using as cover.
This back and forth gun battle was going nowhere and both men needed to think up a different strategy and fast.
The Rainbow sergeant looked over and noticed a spent magazine lying on the floor near him and he picked it up, chucking it down the narrow path and prompting the last Joe to open fire. It gave away his position and the Rainbow operator began creeping closer towards him from the opposite direction and he sneaks out to see the Joe sergeant looking in the opposite direction with his Glock pointed at his unseen foe. He crept along until the Joe was turning to face him at the last second, but he ducked low and pushed the man's arm up so that the next shot he fired went into the ceiling.
The Rainbow leader tried to twist the Joe sergeant's arm to force him into relinquishing his grip on his sidearm, yet the Joe stomped hard on the operator's foot before head butting him and following up with a hard kick to the man's gut that sent him staggering backward. With enough space between himself and his opponent, the Joe sergeant raises his Glock and fires 3 shots into the Rainbow sergeant's chest, sending the man sagging to the ground.
G.I. JOE: 1 – Rainbow Six: 0
The last Joe stands cautiously over his opponent and when he doesn't rise again he pumps his fist into the air and shouts "YO JOE!"

"It was another close back and forth battle, but in the end G.I. JOE ultimately prevailed thanks in part to a superior arsenal that saw them equipped with an assault rifle that could hit their enemies from farther away and a grenade launcher that could fire multiple rounds. You have to couple this with the fact that they have experience fighting with and defeating the terrorist organization Cobra on multiple occasions, an enemy that possesses far superior technology, manpower and organization compared to anything Rainbow Six has faced down in the past.
"However, Rainbow did not make this an easy task for the Joes, especially thanks in part to the semi-automatic capabilities of their SR-25. Had they carried the Joe's arsenal, things could have been different," Bradley concluded.
"We respect the Joes and what they do, but next time things will be different," Logan spoke.
"We take pride in what we do. When it comes to preventing terrorists from taking over the world, G.I. JOE truly is the Deadliest Warrior," Duke concluded.
(The last Joe trooper stands outside the abandoned factory and looks on as the Rainbow sergeant suddenly walks out, followed by the other "dead" Joe troopers and Rainbow operators. It turns out the "battle" was just a training exercise he and his team had just won and all the bloodshed and death was just in his mind. General Hawk and Dr. Harry Pandey both look to each other and nod in approval, confident this will help them in their future confrontations with Cobra and the White Masks.)

Next time on "Fictional Deadliest Warrior," it's a showdown between two elite infantry units from the future:
(A man in gray COG armor and a matching helmet holds up an assault rifle with a chainsaw bayonet attached and revs it up menacingly.)
The Gears: The COG's fearless soldiers who fought toe to toe with the Locust Horde...
vs.
(A man in green clothes, body armor, and a matching helmet points his pulse rifle at the screen.)
Colonial Marines: The legendary marines who face off against the most dangerous threats the universe has to offer.
Who will be "The Fictional Deadliest Warrior?!"

Author's Note: And so ends yet another installment of FDW, where I wanted to try something different and upped the number of operatives to 6 on both sides, in this case given the kind of advanced weapons they were using. This is a formula which I might switch back and forth with for future battles, but at one point I would like to try a grander battle with a larger number of combatants present on both sides.
For anybody who has seen the show, I know the SR-25 can hold up to a 20 round clip, yet I kept it at 10 rounds to keep things even. The Kriss Vector can also use multiple types of ammunition and the size of a clip varies based upon which type of ammo is used, but again I went with gave them the largest number of available rounds in an effort to keep things as fair as possible, although I will admit that I probably am contradicting myself a bit when it came to the grenade launchers I featured, but I believe that was the only one the Rainbows used in battle and again, chances are I was being pretty anal about keeping things close to what they are in the games.
As for the usual legal mumbo jumbo, all G.I. JOE references are owned by Hasbro and all Rainbow Six references are the property of Ubisoft.
With apologies to Rainbow Six fans!
Well I think that's everything I have to say up until this point, so once again read and review as always!
This is the Metal Harbinger telling you all to keep it fucking METAL and to have yourselves a Happy 4th of July!
