WHO IS DEADLIEST?!
To find out, we've assembled a team of world class fighters to test history's most lethal weapons. Using 21st century science, we'll see what happens when two warriors go toe to toe.
No rules. No safety. No mercy. It's a duel to the death to decide who is...THE FICTIONAL DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
Here in our elite fight club, we have gathered doctors, scientists and weapons experts to test out the lethal arsenals wielded by each of our combatants to determine who would win a fight between two warriors who never met in a face to face duel:

"Finally, a battle we've long been waiting for on the show. It's Marvel vs. DC! Not only that, it's their elite special operations units clashing when SHIELD takes on ARGUS," biomedical scientist Bradley Foster started out.
"These guys are the elite of the elite when it comes to regular human warriors in their respective universes. They have experience responding to superhuman threats all over their worlds and the kind of top notch training required for said threats. This means that they are going to be stronger both physically and mentally than your typical law enforcement and military," trauma doctor Joseph Kaiser followed.
"Like you said, Doc, we're dealing with the elite of the elite here, that means they're going to have top notch firepower that can be used when either fighting foreign terrorists or superhuman threats. Lots and I mean LOTS of bang to go around," computer expert Eddie Cortez enthusiastically chirped.
"Enough talk, boys. We've got testing to do," Bradley concluded.
The camera focuses on a middle-aged man with brown hair and graying temples. He has an eye patch over his left eye and a cigar tucked in the corner of his mouth. He picks up a Bushmaster ACR and checks over the sights before pointing it at the camera.
Representing SHIELD first will be its former director Col. Nick Fury.
Having served as the second commander, nobody knows the ins and outs of the secretive spy organization better than Fury himself.
"These ARGUS guys may be good, but when it comes down to who is the deadliest warrior, SHIELD takes it any day of the week," Fury nodded.
The camera then cuts to a woman with short black hair who is shown putting back together a pistol before taking aim at a target.
Also on hand to represent SHIELD will be another former director, Commander Maria Hill.
An agent who has responded to several incidents all over the world involving super-powered individuals, she knows firsthand to toughness it takes to serve in SHIELD.
"Anything is possible in the world. To be a SHIELD agent, you have to be ready for literally anything," Maria spoke.
Established following the end of the Second World War, the Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage, Logistics Directorate was an international peacekeeping, law enforcement, and counter-terrorism agency sanctioned by the United Nations. Initially led by Col. Rick Stoner, the agency battled the terrorist organization Hydra, only for Col. Nick Fury to be made director following Stoner's assassination.
"We thought Hydra had been dealt with after World War II, yet they just kept getting stronger. It wasn't much longer we had other threats popping up such as A.I.M., the Masters of Evil, and hell, even Godzilla! These were threats no ordinary cops could handle. We had to gather access to what advanced technology we could to stay one step ahead of these new threats," Fury explained.
With Fury at the helm, SHIELD secretly rose to the forefront of counter-terrorism, battling to keep the world safe from international terrorists to forces that were beyond human. It was through their efforts a group of superheroes known as the Avengers would be brought together with SHIELD agents by their side. After an incident caused the agency to be disbanded, the United Nations would replace them with a similar task force under the same name with Fury as its director before he stepped down in favor of Maria Hill taking over.
"We were formed to combat super-powered threats. We're not afraid of mutants, aliens or vampires. We certainly won't be scared of ARGUS," Commander Hill concluded.
SHIELD agents come equipped with a deadly arsenal for battling all threats, human and super-powered:
Short Range: Smith & Wesson M&P
Mid Range: AA-12
Long Range Assault: Remington ACR
Long Range Sniper: H&K M110A1
Explosives: H&K XM25
But how will SHIELD stack up against an equally formidable, equally lethal counter-terrorist unit?
The camera cuts to a blond-haired man in a white t-shirt and green camouflage BDU pants. He creeps about with an automatic shotgun before pointing it at the camera.
On hand to represent ARGUS will be Steve Trevor.
A former Air Force pilot who later became the organization's director and liaison to the Justice League, Steve is an expert on the organization's inner workings, both from in the war room and on the front lines.
"SHIELD should just stick to spying. ARGUS is the elite of the elite when it comes to fighting metahuman threats," Steve spoke.
The camera then cut to a woman with short stylishly cut dark hair and metallic-like skin who was wearing a black and gray jumpsuit with red highlights. She is shown adjusting the sights on a sniper rifle before aiming at a target further down range.
Also on hand to represent ARGUS will be the organization's current director, Sasha Bordeaux.
Originally a member of the covert ops group Checkmate, Bordeaux would be recruited by ARGUS and climb their ranks before becoming director herself. She brings intimate knowledge of their weapons and tactics.
"These SHIELD guys might think they are good, but they are nowhere near our level. We've been around longer than they have and we've faced threats they could only dream of beating," Sasha spoke.
Allegedly tracing its roots to the earliest days of the American Revolution spying on British forces, what was then the Anonymous Ranger Group of the United States spent centuries fighting a shadow war against the Crimson Men up until the latter's defeat, causing the group to go dormant. In the wake of Darkseid's attack on Prime Earth and the formation of the Justice League, the American government created a successor agency called the Advanced Research Group Uniting Super-Humans to handle the spillover from the League's missions and to handle the debris afterwards.
"It wasn't much longer ARGUS was up and running. There were still plenty of dangers lurking following Darkseid's attack and we were dealing with the fallout," Steve explained.
Over the next five years, ARGUS would serve honorably alongside the Justice League and carry out various security-related tasks. Over time leadership would change and so would their tactics, up until the agency was crippled by an attack from the Crime Syndicate and the Secret Society. In the aftermath, they would rebuild with Steve Trevor vowing to reform it into something cleaner, later stepping down as Sasha Bordeaux took his place.
"We have had our ups and downs, but as long as there are threats to the security of the world at large, ARGUS will keep coming back to face them down," Sasha concluded.
ARGUS agents fire back with their own arsenal used on threats both human and metahuman:
Short Range: SIG-Sauer P228
Mid Range: HK CAWS
Long Range Assault: Colt M4A1
Long Range Sniper: H&K PSG-1
Explosives: ARWEN 37
We start things out preparing for the ultimate quick draw as both agents draw their trusted sidearms for close quarters combat.
When SHIELD took on threats in close quarters, they relied upon a model specifically designed for military and law enforcement personnel, the Smith & Wesson M&P.

Maria Hill and Steve Trevor stood together on a firing range with their respective pistols in hand.
"Alright Maria and Steve, we want to start things out by seeing how accurate both of your pistols are. You each have one clip to prove your point," Bradley said motioning to the paper targets.
"You've got it," Steve said getting into position.
"Don't get too cocky, fly boy," Maria smirked back while taking aim.
"Alright agents, on 3...2...1, open fire!"
Both agents discharged their firearms for center mass shots, both of them scoring tight clusters that either struck the center or weren't too far off.
"It seems like both guns are very accurate and not far off from each other, yet this test was too easy and boring. Now it's time to mix things up," Bradley spoke.
The team was now outside at a specially crafted structure.
"For the second part we're going to make things a little more challenging. We are going to simulate the aftermath of a superhuman attack in a building that needs to be cleared of threats. There are 6 enemy soldiers present, in addition to civilians who have not yet gotten to safety. To make things more realistic, smoke will be filling the air. Maria, you are up first," Bradley spoke.
"Yes, sir!" Maria spoke before slipping on a gas mask and readying her pistol.
"Then on 3...2...1, go for it!"
Maria entered the structure and performed a barrel roll into a corridor, rising to a knee and firing upon three rounds into a masked terrorist target, keeping herself low as smoke poured through the corridor. She moved further down and happened across two more targets, one a terrorist and the other a civilian. Taking careful aim through her obscured surroundings, she pumped three rounds into the terrorist target's stomach before moving past the civilian and rounding another corner, where she fired two rounds into the face of a terrorist.
"Now to up the ante," Eddie said going to his control panel.
Maria entered another open space filled with various obstacles just as a civilian target popped out, prompting her to relax herself just as a door flew open to her right and she was met by another terrorist, firing two rounds into its chest before another door opened and another terrorist followed, only to be halted by a three round cluster to its chest. She then moved further along to another room where she was met by three targets zooming towards her at once, two civilians with a terrorist close between them.
Slowing down and taking aim, she pumped four rounds into the terrorist's chest and stomach before her gun clicked empty.
"Done!" she called out.
"1 minute, 28 seconds," Bradley called back.
Dr. Kaiser waited for the smoke to be cleared, yet wore a gas mask to be on the safe side, as he made his way into the structure to inspect the damage done.
"For your first target, it's a perfectly grouped cluster in his chest that's going to kill him right away. The second guy has three shots to his gut. He possibly could survive that if he got immediate medical treatment, otherwise he's done for. For your third guy it's instant lights out with two to the face. As we move further in, I see similar results with your other targets. All in all, you have 6 kills," Dr. Kaiser said before checking over the civilian targets, "with no civilian casualties."
"Alright Steve, it's your turn. The time to beat is 1 minute, 26 seconds," Bradley spoke.
"Piece of cake," Steve replied before slipping on his gas mask and readying his SIG.
"Then on 3...2...1, storm it!"
Steve made his way inside and hugged a wall before popping out and firing two shots into the chest of the nearest terrorist target, also forced to duck low as a huge cloud of smoke obscured his vision and he crept along until he came across his first civilian target and the terrorist not far behind, rolling to his left and rising to a knee before pumping three rounds into the hostile's chest. He then round a corner and found himself face to face with the third hostile before pumping three more rounds in its chest.
"Time to raise the stakes," Eddie said typing in a few commands.
Steve entered a larger room and carefully made his way around the obstacles and was briefly startled when a target appeared in front of him, yet it was a civilian. A springing noise sounded and Steve whirled around to find a terrorist target who was quickly dispatched with two shots to the chest before a door opened behind him and another terrorist appeared, followed by three shots to its chest and stomach. He then moved into the final room, where two civilian targets were positioned in front of a terrorist.
Steve pushed forward and fired what was left of his clip into the terrorist, riddling its chest with rounds before he called out "Clear!"
"1 minute and 23 seconds," Bradley called back.
Dr. Kaiser again put on his gas mask and made his way inside to assess the damage done to the targets, "Once again I'm seeing tight clusters in all of your targets that will drop them on sight. With that, I also see no harm done to any civilians. You are 6 for 6 in kills and completed the course 5 seconds earlier. Good job!"
Both pistols proved their worth in separate tests, but where do our panelists stand?
"This is just too close to call for me. In terms of damage and accuracy, I think both these guns are even," Bradley started.
"I agree. They both can use the same type of ammo and have the same amount of bullets per magazine. I'm calling this even," Dr. Kaiser agreed.
"I'm in as well. Edge even," Eddie concluded.
In short range weapons, our warriors are even.
Coming up, two brutal flesh tearing shotguns are put to the test as the battle heats up.
XXXXXXXXXX
SHIELD vs. ARGUS, it's a battle between two elite special ops groups who deal with threats in their own unique ways.
"With SHIELD, we have eyes and ears everywhere. It allows us to gauge our enemy's strengths and weaknesses beforehand so that we head into battle prepared," Nick Fury explained.
"For ARGUS, we analyze the weaknesses of any metahuman threats, find out what works, and then apply it to our weapons and technology. It's served us well for over two centuries," Sasha Bordeaux countered.
When pistols weren't enough to take down smaller scale threats, both groups came equipped with shotguns that could paint the walls crimson with split seconds.
For ARGUS, the relied upon a bullpup killer that could shred humans and metas to shreds with seconds, the HK CAWS.
(An ARGUS agent is shown blasting a metahuman Belle Reeve inmate with a point blank blast from his HK CAWS before he can be vaporized by an energy blast.)
HK CAWS
Semi-Automatic or Fully Automatic
Length: 38.9 in.
Weight: 9.5 lbs.
Cartridge: 12-Gauge
Capacity: 10 Rounds
Effective Range: 150 m
"This is the Heckler & Koch Close Assault Weapons System," Steve said showing off his shotgun for the panelists, "This is a bullpup design that is ideal for indoor, close quarters combat. It has two firing modes: semi-automatic or fully automatic, and possesses an ambidextrous grip. It's ideal for any agent in the field."
"Looking badass, but now we have to see how effective it really is," Bradley spoke before motioning to the course behind him, "We've got 8 targets set up, 5 foam targets and 3 stage blood filled containers. You've got one magazine to make your point."
"You got it," Steve said taking a few steps away from the designated starting point, yet Bradley proceeded.
"On 3...2...1, open fire!"
Steve fired his first blast into the chest of the closest foam target, shredding it open in a gory display. He followed up by showing off the shotgun's effective range, blasting one of the glass containers into pieces and splattering blood all over the other targets before he followed up with another blast that tore a second target's stomach open. He repeated the process with a blast to another target's chest, followed by another container being shattered. He kept going until the last container was shattered and the other foam targets were shredded with buckshot.
"How's that for you?" Steve smirked as he ejected the spent magazine.
"It's good for you, but bad for your enemies," Dr. Kaiser said examining the foam targets, "You peppered these guys big time and are shredding vital organs. None of these guys are making it out alive."
"And you did it all in 5 seconds," Bradley added.
"That's real cute and all, son, but we've got ourselves a gun that would've torn through those guys in twice the time and with twice the damage," Nick said stepping up.
To answer the HK's challenge, SHIELD returns with a rapid fire killer, the AA-12.
(A SHIELD agent is shown barging into a control room filled with Hydra agents and tearing through them with a flurry from his AA-12.)
AA-12
Fully Automatic
Length: 38 in.
Weight: 10.5 lbs.
Cartridge: 12-Gauge
Capacity: 32 Rounds
Effective Range: 100 m
"This gentlmen, is the Atchisson auto assault shotgun," Fury said showing off his shotgun before the panelists, "This baby goes full auto and can clear a room before you'd blink."
"Is that possible?" Eddie asked looking the gun up and down.
"32 rounds will tell you so," Fury smirked, "No jamming, just shooting any poor bastard standing in your way."
"Given that you have more rounds, we are upping the stakes for you with ten targets," Bradley said motioning to the fresh foam targets, "Good luck."
Nick only chuckled and took his position with his shotgun shouldered.
"Alright Nick, on 3...2...1, open fire!"
Fury started out with a single blast to the closest target's chest before he went full auto and shredded the target. He then unleashed a full torrent of buckshot as he tore through the next target and then the one after that, his rounds peppering and later tearing large chunks out of the foam stand-ins until his gun clicked empty.
"My work here is done," Fury nodded before blowing the smoke off his barrel.
"Damn! That's like the shotgun version of a Gatling Gun!" Eddie exclaimed.
"And it shows. You've torn through these guys like they were nothing and once again, saved me from even needing to put my gloves on," Dr. Kaiser said, careful not to slip on some of the stage blood at his feet.
"We still have the better range. We'd be picking you off before you could get that close to us," Steve rebutted.
"Son, I'd stand down if I were you right now," Fury said patting the ARGUS agent on the shoulder, "It's OK to admit when you're on the short end of the stick."
Both shotguns proved their devastating killing capabilities, but where do our panelists stand?
"Without question, the CAWS would be a handy gun to have given its superior range, yet the greater number of rounds with the AA-12 wins the day for me in the end. Edge SHIELD," Bradley started.
"Sure you have options in regards how you fire the CAWS, but just watching the AA-12 tear through those targets and given all that extra ammo, SHIELD takes this hands down," Dr. Kaiser seconded.
"I agree. The AA-12's display was just downright brutal. Edge SHIELD," Eddie concluded.
In mid-range weapons, SHIELD takes the edge with the AA-12.
Coming up, the battle goes to long range when both sides bring their rifles into play.
It's a battle between two elite special operations forces to decide who is the deadliest!
XXXXXXXXXX
SHIELD and ARGUS, two elite spec ops units facing superhuman threats.
"We didn't get to where we are today just by luck. We are highly-trained operatives who are conditioned to think outside the box," Maria spoke.
"We're more than just a few grunts who fight metahumans. We're a bunch of scrappers who will fight with whatever we can get our hands on to take down the most dangerous of threats," Sasha replied.
When things were too dangerous for close quarters combat, both sides brought trusted assault and sniper rifles to take down enemies from afar.
For SHIELD agents in the field, they relied upon an accurate and reliable killer, the Bushmaster ACR.
(Two SHIELD agents are shown gunning down a group of Hydra weapons smugglers with their ACR rifles.)
Remington ACR

Fury and Steve both stood on the outdoor shooting range with both rifles in hand.
"Alright gentlemen, we're going to start things off by testing the accuracy of both guns. We've set up 12 targets, 6 bottles and 6 hanging orbs. You each have one clip to prove your point," Bradley said motioning to the range, "When you are ready, you may take your positions."
Both men nodded and took their positions.
"And on 3...2...1, open fire!"
Steve unleashed a torrent of bullets before he finally managed to hit one of the smaller targets, whereas Fury took careful aim and managed to hit one of the orbs in an instant. The former SHIELD leader continued with his more carefully aimed shots, whereas Steve fired a little more freely, yet still managing to hit his targets. They continued until the ground below was covered in fake blood with Steve's rifle clicking empty and Nick shattering his last target.
"I'm out," Steve reported.
"3 rounds left here," Fury called back.
"That was some spot on accuracy shown by both rifles with the M4A1 appearing to have the faster rate of fire," Eddie commented.
"This is still too close to call. If you ask me, this test needs a fresh perspective...which is why I will be stepping in to test both rifles myself," Bradley said, slipping on a pair of protective shades and earmuffs.
The panelists and experts moved over to a makeshift war room where 5 targets surrounded a table with a large map laid out. Bradley stood ready first with the Colt M4A1 in hand.
"Alright Bradley, you've got 5 targets and one clip to prove your point. When you are ready," Eddie called out.
"Ready to roll," Bradley replied.
"Then on 3...2...1, take 'em down!"
Bradley squeezed the trigger and tore through his targets in a torrent of bullets, leaving them all with their chests torn apart.
"Feels decent," Bradley nodded in satisfaction before handing the carbine back to Steve.
"Would be my kind of meeting though," Eddie chuckled.
"Mr. Fury, if you will please be so kind," Bradley asked.
"Consider this meeting already cancelled," the former director nodded.
"Are you always so quick to jump to conclusions?" Steve sighed.
Bradley ignored the exchange and waited as the crew set up new targets. He then took his position with the ACR and waited for the cue.
"On 3...2...1, shoot 'em up!"
Bradley took aim and shot his way through the targets, albeit at a slightly slower pace, but in the end all were left riddled with bullets.
"The rate of fire seemed a bit slower with this rifle, yet the recoil felt slighter and the ambidextrous grip is a nice added touch as well," Bradley said handing the rifle back to Nick.
"But it isn't over yet," Dr. Kaiser chimed in.
In addition to their assault rifles, both teams relied upon deadly accurate sniper rifles to take down targets from even farther away.
For SHIELD, they had a lethal semi-automatic killer that could take an enemy down from over a mile away, the H&K M110A1.
(A SHIELD agent equipped with a M110A1 takes aim at a pyrokinetic mutant tearing apart a city street and is able to safely drop him with a round to the chest.)

But the ARGUS agents aren't deterred and return fire with their own semi-automatic precision shooting rifle, the H&K PSG-1.
(An ARGUS agent equipped with a PSG-1 takes aim at a heavily-armored terrorist equipped with a minigun and shoots him through his goggles.)

Maria and Sasha are waiting nearby with their respective sniper rifles in hand.
"Alright ladies, we've set up another range for you to show the effectiveness of your sniper rifles," Bradley said motioning to the downhill range. "There are 9 enemies altogether, 8 of whom are out in the open on patrol, while a camouflaged counter-sniper is perched on a nearby hill waiting to be taken out. You will both have one clip for this exercise. Maria, you're up first."
"Roger that," the SHIELD agent replied and took a prone position in some tall grass before setting up her rifle. Once everything was set up, she made one final adjustment of her sights and took aim.
"On 3...2...1, open fire!"
Maria took aim and fired a round into one target's left ribcage.
Kills: 1
Rounds Left: 19
"Instant kill shot," Dr. Kaiser commented while peering through his binoculars.
Maria fired again, but this time she missed. Quickly readjusting her sights, she managed to strike another moving target, albeit just barely, tearing a small chunk out of its face just above its eye. She again took her time and managed to hit another target in its shoulder before missing again. Another squeeze of the trigger and a fourth target's lower abdominal region before striking the same target with a round to its sternum.
Kills: 3
Rounds Left: 13
The target with the shoulder wound crossed Maria's sights again and this time she managed to nail it with a shot to the dead center of its chest.
Kills: 4
Rounds Left: 12
Maria continued on and struck her latest target in its hip area.
"That's looking like a delayed kill there; a mortal wound that's going to rupture the man's intestines," Dr. Kaiser pointed out.
She fired again and missed. With a curse under her breath, she slowed her pace and fired a round that caught her sixth target with a round in the center of its face, leaving a small crater behind.
Kills: 6
Rounds Left: 9
Another target zoomed past Maria and she managed to take a chunk out of its shoulder before missing a shot on her last untouched target. She managed to hit the seventh target again, this time striking it in the throat and covering its torso with a torrent of crimson. With another shot she managed to take down the last roving target with a shot to the chest.
Kills: 8
Rounds Left: 5
"Onto the counter-sniper," Bradley spoke.
Maria searched the opposite hillside for any signs of the counter-sniper until she spotted a disturbed patch of tall grass and fired upon it, only for her first round to tear up the earth nearby. She tried to adjust her sights again and only managed to hit the grass in front of the target. Aiming a little higher, she squeezed the trigger again and was awarded with a splash of crimson before firing again to make sure she had finished her target off.
Kills: 9
Rounds Left: 1
"Done!" Maria called back.
"You managed to kill all of your targets, yet you missed 6 out of 20 shots. Not the worst, but still cause for concern," Dr. Kaiser commented.
"Especially if you're pitted against ARGUS agents," Sasha smirked.
"I'd like to see you try," Maria shot back.
"And you will," Sasha replied before placing an eye patch over her left eye.
To make this a fair contest, Sasha is voluntarily inhibiting her ocular implant that would otherwise have given her a strong advantage over Commander Hill.
Sasha took a prone position in the tall grass and made a last minute check over her rifle before taking aim.
"Alright Sasha, on 3...2...1, fire!"
Sasha took aim and nailed her first target straight in the collarbone before striking another target just beneath its sternum.
Kills: 2
Rounds Left: 18
"She's on a roll," Eddie commented.
"Even without her cybernetics. Just goes to show the better effective range of the PSG-1," Steve added.
Sasha continued with her assault, striking a third target through its left eye before she missed her first shot. Quickly adjusting her sights, she took aim and hit another target in his lower right ribs.
"Dead right in the liver. A mortal wound for sure," Dr. Kaiser commented.
Kills: 4
Rounds Left: 15
Her next shot only managed to graze a target's side before her next shot completely missed. Making another quick adjustment, she fired and took out a large portion of her next target's face.
Kills: 5
Rounds Left: 12
Her next shot went wild and missed a target, yet she caught herself and managed to take out the target she grazed seconds earlier with a shot beneath its left eye, another torrent of stage blood gushing down its face.
Kills: 6
Rounds Left: 10
Taking aim at her next target, Sasha slowly tracked its movements before squeezing the trigger and punching a hole through its forehead.
Kills: 7
Rounds Left: 9
With one roving target left, Sasha took aim and fired a round that only managed to graze its shoulder. Undeterred, she again adjusted her sights and fired a round that tore through its neck.
"That would have severed the jugular of an actual person," Dr. Kaiser commented.
Kills: 8
Rounds Left: 7
Now was the time to go after the counter-sniper. Sasha searched the opposite hill for any signs before she found the clumped up grass and the light shining off another scope. With a deep exhale, she squeezed the trigger and was rewarded by a crimson splotch before firing another round to make sure the job was done.
Kills: 9
Rounds Left: 5
"All clear!" Sasha called out.
"Nice shooting, Sasha. You only needed to fire 15 shots, out of which you had only 3 complete misses," Bradley spoke.
"It just goes to show off the superior effective range of the PSG-1," Sasha nodded.
The long range testing for both weapons has been completed, yet the final verdict falls down to the panelists.
"Starting out with assault rifles, I think it's very close to call given that they both can use the same rounds and the same amount, in addition to similar killing power and range. When I held both guns though, the ACR just felt so much smoother in my hands with its ambidextrous grip and it just had that lower recoil that allowed me to hit the targets with greater ease. Edge ACR," Bradley spoke.
"In a drawn out long range fight that would be important for hitting your enemies with greater accuracy. Edge ACR," Dr. Kaiser seconded.
"I felt tempted to call this even at first, but after hearing Bradley's personal testimony, I'm going with the ACR," Eddie concluded.
In long range assault rifles, SHIELD takes the edge with the Remington ACR.
"Moving on to sniper rifles, again it's another close call due to both rifles using the same round and having the same capacity in their clips. When we saw them in action, I had to give it to the PSG-1 for its better overall range," Bradley started.
"Even given the discipline of the individual shooters involved, I still feel the PSG-1's overall effective range won the day in the end," Dr. Kaiser seconded.
"Agreed. Better range, better accuracy, edge PSG-1," Eddie concluded.
In long range sniper rifles, ARGUS takes the edge with the H&K PSG-1.
Coming up, an explosive conclusion as two grenade launchers are put to the test.
And then later, two secretive spec ops groups collided in a battle for supremacy.
XXXXXXXXXX
The time has now come for both warriors to reveal their respective grenade launchers.
When ARGUS needed to take down a powerful enemy, they relied upon a less-lethal launcher used in riot control situations that was modified for lethal force, the ARWEN 37 grenade launcher.

"Normally, these kinds of launchers are used for anti-riot purposes, yet ARGUS has launchers that are modified for combative purposes. It's multi-shot and we use multiple different types of shells depending upon the threat we are facing," Sasha explained showing off her launcher to the panelists.
"And we've set up a test for your launcher," Bradley said motioning to another range behind him where two cars were parked surrounded by more foam targets, in addition to a guard shack and another small cabin.
"Here, a terrorist leader is pulling in to what he believes to be a secret meeting," he said pointing towards the first car, a white sedan with two foam dummies representing the leader in the backseat and a driver up front, "but little does he know, it's an ARGUS ambush and you are to eliminate him and as many enemy soldiers as you can with the amount of shots you are given. We've got bodyguards in the sedan behind him and around, in the guard shack and the nearby cabin. When you are ready, Sasha."
Sasha nodded and knelt for cover behind a cinder block barrier, loading individual rounds into each chamber.
"Alright Sasha, on 3...2...1, bombs away!"
Sasha fired a shell the struck the leader's car head on, resulting in an explosion that tore through the car and knocked over several of the dummies surrounding it, most of them visibly embedded with chunks of debris. It didn't end as she lobbed another grenade that struck the second car with similar fiery results.
Pulling herself over the barrier, Sasha ran onto the course, knocking over an errant target with the stock of her launcher before taking a knee and firing another shell into the guard shack, sending more flaming chunks of foam flying out before she made her way over to the cabin and fired her last two shells inside in another fiery mess.
"Looks like his meeting just got canceled," Sasha quipped.
"Indeed it did," Dr. Kaiser said noting the burning dummies from a safe distance and then looking down to those who weren't burnt, yet riddled with shrapnel. "I'm even seeing a few who are left untouched, yet could have sustained injuries just from being tossed around. Broken bones, internal bleeding, burst eardrums, vertigo, lots of things."
"It's really impressive what you've done with that, but we've got something just as good," Fury spoke up.
To answer the challenge, SHIELD returns fire with a state of the art semi-automatic grenade launcher of their own, the H&K XM25.
(A SHIELD agent is shown armed with an XM25, firing a round into a van full of Hydra agents and causing a massive explosion)
H&K XM25
Semi-Automatic
Length: 29.5 in.
Weight: 14 lbs.
Cartridge: 25x40mm
Capacity: 5 Rounds
"This launcher was introduced after I left SHIELD," Fury said showing the panelists, "It's an air burst launcher that quickly proved itself useful among our operatives. It'll let us hit a bunch of Hydra guys from farther away than their little toy," he finished, prompting a skeptical shrug from Sasha.
"Well it's the same test for you, Nick. A SHIELD ambush on a terrorist gathering and you've got 5 rounds to bring it to a fiery end," Bradley spoke.
"You should've brought your marshmallows along," Fury chuckled before taking his position behind the cinder block barrier.
"Alright Fury, on 3...2...1, fire in the hole!"
Nick took aim and fired his first round into the terrorist leader's car, resulting in another explosion that sent debris flying into the nearby dummies. He then fired another round into the car behind it and similar results followed.
He pulled himself over the barrier and ran towards the guard shack before he took a knee and fired another shell through the opened window, flaming chunks flying out through the opened door. He then ran over to the cabin and fired his last two shells inside.
Once again Dr. Kaiser was forced to wait as the fire crew put out the blazes left behind before he could safely assess the damage done.
"I'm not seeing much different from before. All your targets inside the cars are instantly incinerated, in addition to the extra damage done to the guards outside, either through concussive force, being caught in the fire, or from the shrapnel that followed. The same can be said about the targets in the guard shack and the cabin," the good doctor concluded.
Both grenade launchers tore through their targets, but where do our panelists stand for the final verdict?
"I'm giving this to the XM25 for the sole reason of it being a magazine-fed gun compared to the ARWEN, where you have to reload all individual rounds by hand," Bradley started.
"I agree. A faster reload is crucial in the middle of a battle. Edge XM25," Dr. Kaiser seconded.
"I'm with you both again. Edge SHIELD," Eddie concluded.
In explosive weapons, SHIELD takes the edge with the H&K XM25.
As it is with all warriors, there is a critical X-factor that makes them who they are. Both of these warriors are comprised of the best human soldiers their worlds have to offer.
"SHIELD truly is the best of the best in our world. We have operatives who can fight head on against any threat that crosses our path, be it human, alien or superhuman, despite most of our own being normal humans. We can fight you head on, or we can use espionage. It doesn't matter. In the end, we get the job done," Nick Fury explained.
"ARGUS agents come from all over the world and have fought alongside the Justice League against out of this world threats that would have torn SHIELD's world apart within minutes. Our men and women know they might not always come back alive, but they are fiercely dedicated to our cause and will fight to the bitter end," Sasha Bordeaux explained.
Coming up, two elite special operations groups clash. It's SHIELD vs. ARGUS!
XXXXXXXXXX
With our testing completed and our X-factors evaluated, we are now one step closer to determining who will be "The Fictional Deadliest Warrior."
Our teams tested 5 weapons used by SHIELD: the Smith & Wesson M&P, the AA-12 assault shotgun, the Remington ACR, the H&K M110A1 sniper rifle, and the H&K XM25 grenade launcher.
On the opposite side, 5 weapons used by ARGUS were tested: the SIG-Sauer P228, the HK CAWS assault shotgun, the Colt M4A1, H&K PSG-1 sniper rifle, and the ARWEN 37 launcher.
In short range weapons, both pistols were evenly matched.
EDGE: Even
In mid-ranged weapons, the AA-12's greater number of rounds tore through the HK CAWS in quick fashion.
EDGE: SHIELD
In long range assault rifles, the lower recoil allowed the ACR to shoot down the M4A1.
EDGE: SHIELD
In long range sniper rifles, the greater maximum range of the PSG-1 dropped the M110A1.
EDGE: ARGUS
And in explosive weapons, the easier reload of the XM25 blew up the ARWEN's assault.
EDGE: SHIELD
Our scientists and weapons experts are done with their testing. The results are in and the time has come to decide who will be the victor. The battle will be fought in a 6-on-6 squad battle between 6 SHIELD agents and 6 ARGUS agents. To ensure the battle won't be decided by a single, lucky blow, the battle will be simulated one thousand times in a duel to the death.
Who will win in a battle between two elite superhuman fighting spec ops forces?
Espionage
(An undercover SHIELD agent spies on a suspected Hydra agent with binoculars while his colleagues wait in a control van nearby.)
vs. Combat
(ARGUS agents are shown engaging Middle Eastern terrorists in a flurry of gunfire and explosions.)
Efficiency
(An ARGUS sniper peers through his scope and drops a rogue electrical powered metahuman with a round through the forehead.)
vs. Strategy
(Rappelling SHIELD agents come crashing through an office's skylight and cut down a group of terrorists in a flurry of gunfire before they even touch the floor, all without harming the hostages present.
Containment
(SHIELD agents are shown using specially designed guns to apprehend a rogue mutant.)
vs. Peacekeeping
(ARGUS agents are shown scouting a war-torn neighborhood, their leader stopping to shoot down a lone surviving terrorist.)
"It's Marvel vs. DC for the first time ever on here. Time for the moment of truth," Eddie exclaimed before starting the simulation.

We are taken to a city that has just been ravaged by a massive superhuman attack, with several crumbling skyscrapers still left smoldering in the aftermath.
Through the smoky skies, a black Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey makes its way into the ravaged city and touches down in an abandoned park. 6 individuals clad in blue body suits step off, the leader and another man armed with Remington ACR's, two more guys armed with AA-12 assault shotguns, a man armed with an H&K XM25 grenade launcher, and the last a brunette woman armed with an H&K M110A1 sniper rifle. All of them have Smith & Wesson M&P handguns strapped to their sides.
These people are operatives from the worldwide counter-terrorism and intelligence agency SHIELD, sent to investigate the superhuman threat in the area.
SHIELD: 6
On the opposite side of the city, a dark gray Bell UH-1 Iroquois touched down on the roof of an abandoned office building. 6 individuals wearing gray and black jumpsuits with red highlights and combat helmets stepped out, the leader and another man carrying Colt M4A1 assault rifles, two more carrying HK CAWS automatic shotguns, a man armed with an ARWEN 37 launcher, and the last a blonde-haired woman armed with a PSG-1 sniper rifle. All of them have SIG-Sauer P228 handguns strapped to their sides.
These people are operatives from the government organization ARGUS, investigating reports of rogue metahuman activity in the city.
ARGUS: 6
The SHIELD agents move carefully along a street laden with totaled cars and the debris of the heavily damaged buildings as they search for any signs of mutants or other inhuman threats. They continue along until they reach a street blocked off by a wrecked city bus and are forced to take a right turn and find themselves in the ruins of the city's business district.
Noting the vast expanse ahead of them and all the debris that still obstructed their view, the SHIELD leader looked over and spotted a four story building. With hand signals, he motioned for his sniper to head for higher ground. With a nod, she splits off from the rest and makes her way over through the shattered double doors and rushes to the rooftop.
At the same time, the ARGUS agents are moving further towards the same district with their weapons at the ready. Both the sniper and the grenadier follow from a safe distance should their specialized weapons be needed, but so far all is quiet.
However, it isn't long before the SHIELD agents step into view and spotting their uniforms and the similarities to their common enemies, they ready their guns.
"Hostiles spotted! Open fire!" the SHIELD leader shouted.
The SHIELD agents squeeze their triggers, but with the ARGUS agents having overheard the command, they were able to take cover before any of them could be hit.
"We're under attack! Open fire!" the ARGUS leader shouted.
The ARGUS agents took positions behind cover and returned fire. In the ensuing ruckus, the cell leader motioned for his grenadier to join them, while ordering the sniper to higher ground. With a nod, she made her way to another abandoned office building that would offer a good perch for her to observe the battle below.
The firefight raged back and forth until the ARGUS grenadier launched a projectile from his ARWEN that sent the SHIELD agents scrambling, one of them stumbling into a flurry of rounds from the ARGUS leader's M4A1.
SHIELD: 5 – ARGUS: 6
The SHIELD sniper sees the commotion and takes aim, firing a round that travels through the shattered window of a car an ARGUS shotgunner had been taking cover behind, striking the man in the side of his head.
SHIELD: 5 – ARGUS: 5
The ARGUS sniper receives a shouted call through her earpiece of an enemy sniper and begins scanning the distant buildings for any signs of the rival sniper, but does manage to spot one of the SHIELD riflemen after the flash of his rifle gives away his hiding spot among the rubble. She takes aim and fires a round through the man's chest.
SHIELD: 4 – ARGUS: 5
Watching his man fall from an unseen shooter, the SHIELD leader takes cover behind and frantically scans the surrounding buildings for any signs of a sniper, trying to pinpoint the direction the shot came from as the battle rages around him. He looked over and spotted an abandoned fuel truck in the direction he assumed it came from and then looked over to his grenadier, ordering him to fire a round.
With a nod, the grenadier readies the XM25 and peeks out to launch a shell in the abandoned truck's direction, resulting in a massive explosion generating a massive shockwave that swallowed up nearby cars and sent them flying in different directions, as well as shattering windows and further damaging the facades of already crumbling buildings. In the ensuing chaos, one of the ARGUS agents is caught in the shockwave and has his body riddled with shrapnel.
SHIELD: 4 – ARGUS: 4
"Fall back!" the ARGUS agent shouts to his remaining troops and grabs his remaining shotgunner forcefully by the shoulder, directing him towards the nearest building while the grenadier spots them and fires off another explosive shell before chasing after them.
The SHIELD agents spot them and begin the chase, following them into the crumbling building and exchanging gunfire again, the ARGUS grenadier firing another explosive shell that strikes a faulty support beam and brings the ceiling crashing down, forcing the SHIELD operatives to separate.
Now separated from their leader, the remaining SHIELD shotgunner and grenadier were left to scower through a building that threatened to collapse on them at any given second, the latter forced to draw his M&P sidearm. The two men moved side by side as they searched for any signs of their new enemy, jumping as a round of buckshot impacted the wall just near the grenadier's head.
Both men saw the remaining ARGUS shotgunner down at the end of the hall and let loose a volley of gunfire, yet the man quickly retreated and they chased after him before being lured into a crumbling office where the ARGUS grenadier waited and fired another explosive shell that vaporized the SHIELD grenadier in a fiery blast that nearly swallowed up the shotgunner.
SHIELD: 3 – ARGUS: 4
The SHIELD shotgunner found himself knocked off his feet with his ears ringing and his vision blurred in the aftermath of the blast. Pulling himself to his feet and bracing himself against the nearby wall, he looks down to see the bloody chunks that remain of his colleague, along with the remnants of his XM25. Through the ashes he sees the ARGUS grenadier approaching with his SIG-Sauer drawn, yet is forced to fall back as he struggles with keeping his balance.
The ARGUS grenadier is again joined by the shotgunner and they make their way past the carnage and further down the hall in search of the remaining SHIELD agent before finding themselves in a large storage room lined with racks of big boxes and other office equipment. Meanwhile, the SHIELD agent has slowly regained his bearings and listens as the two men enter the room, hiding in a cubicle with the AA-12 at the ready. He listens intently as the grenadier approaches and takes the man by surprise with a three rounds of buckshot that tear through the man's chest and stomach.
SHIELD: 3 – ARGUS: 3
The ARGUS shotgunner hears the commotion and fires a blast that sends papers and chunks of cardboard raining down on the SHIELD agent, yet the spy fires back with a blast from his AA-12 that sends the rival agent ducking for cover.
The ARGUS shotgunner listens intently for any signs of the rival agent as he finds himself loading a fresh magazine into his CAWS. Even in the lightning fast firefight, he did manage to take note of the further effective range of his assault shotgun and he looks down the narrow space for anything he can use to lure his opponent back into the open.
Seeing a circuit breaker on the nearby wall, he takes aim and fires a blast that sends sparks raining down and the SHIELD agent running back into view. He wastes no time and fires a blast close enough to send shards of buckshot into the man's side.
The SHIELD agent grimaces in pain, yet remains determined to finish his opponent off. He spots the ARGUS shotgunner and fires another blast, yet the recoil leaves him grimacing in pain and feeling lethargic.
Hearing the commotion from a distance, the SHIELD cell leader enters the room and fires upon the ARGUS agent with a burst from his ACR, managing to hit the man in the side and send him scampering for cover. The shotgunner tried to pop out and fire again from behind cover, by the SHIELD leader hit him with another round that left him dropping the CAWS and pulling out his sidearm.
The ARGUS agent desperately fired a few rounds from his SIG, but it was a futile effort with him being hampered by pain and blood loss and it wasn't long before the SHIELD leader was firing a salvo into his chest and stomach.
SHIELD: 3 – ARGUS: 2
With the threat dealt with, the SHIELD leader ran over to check on his colleague, only to find the man had succumbed to his injuries.
SHIELD: 2 – ARGUS: 2
There was nothing else he could do for the fallen man and knelt down to close his eyes in a final act of respect.
Meanwhile, the SHIELD sniper had still been scanning the area for any threats, yet following that massive explosion all signs of her colleagues and the rival agents had vanished, or so she thought as the wall in front of her exploded, followed by another round just above her head that pelted her with stone fragments.
She searched the rooftops and shattered windows for any signs of her attacker and eventually spotted some sunlight reflecting off the glass surface of a scope before firing a round.
She was unable to tell if she had managed to inflict any damage and waited a few moments before pulling out her rope and rappelling down the side of the building. Having pinpointed the source of the gunfire to an abandoned office building, she bolted across the war-torn street and made her way inside, searching from room to room until she happened across an office with a damaged PSG-1 sniper rifle resting against one of the window sills.
And then she was tackled from behind, the M110A1 sent clattering from her hands.
A pair of slender arms wrapped around her, trying to lock her in a choke hold, yet the SHIELD sniper rolled and thrashed about until she delivered a hard backhand to her opponent's face that loosened their grip and allowed her to roll over onto her hands and knees.
She found herself face to face against a helmeted woman with a fresh trickle of blood running from her nose. Grunting in rage, the woman tossed her combat helmet aside to reveal her blonde hair and icy blue eyes piercing holes through her.
With a mighty roar the ARGUS sniper launched herself at her opponent with a flurry of punches and kicks, all of which were either dodged or blocked by her counterpart, who returned with her own volley of strikes that were in turned dodged or blocked.
The two women found themselves at a stalemate and collapsed to a knee in exhaustion while glaring harshly towards one another. Without warning, the SHIELD agent drew her M&P and fired two shots at the ARGUS agent, one grazing her arm and the other striking her in her armored chest. The desperate sniper flung herself behind a cubicle wall and drew her own sidearm before popping out to fire back.
Another flurry of gunfire was exchanged as both women ran through the office, their bullets only managing to strike computers, filing cabinets, fax machines, windows and any other objects that stood in their way. Eventually both women found themselves forced to retreat and reload, the lapse allowing the SHIELD sniper to get some distance from her rival.
She made her way into a room with the ceiling collapsed and one of the walls completely decimated before she heard the hurried footsteps coming from behind her and saw the ARGUS agent darting for cover behind a partially destroyed support beam. Rather than open fire, she listened for the woman's movements and kicked a swivel chair over to throw her off, prompting the woman to open fire.
With her opponent distracted, she jumped out and delivered a hard elbow strike to the woman's side before pushing her hand up and forcing her to fire her SIG into the ceiling. Following up with a head butt, she sent the ARGUS sniper reeling backwards and raised her M&P, firing eight rounds into the woman's chest before finally striking her in the neck and sending her stumbling backwards and tripping over the remnants of the crumbling wall, falling to her death.
SHIELD: 2 – ARGUS: 1
The silence was shattered by the crash of the ARGUS sniper landing on top of a car and the blaring car alarm that followed, but the SHIELD sniper paid it no mind and went to retrieve her sniper rifle, peering through the scope at another small battle unfolding.
The SHIELD leader searched the building he was in high and low for any signs of remaining ARGUS agents until he reached the top floor and found the ARGUS leader in the middle of contacting his transport when the man spotted him and raised his M4A1.
The SHIELD leader barely reached cover before the wall above him was torn apart by gunfire and he waited for it to subside before he peeked out and fired a burst from his ACR that sent the ARGUS leader ducking for cover, continuing until the ACR clicked empty and he was down to his M&P.
He moved back and forth between cover as he fired upon the ARGUS leader, but the gray-clad man eventually got close enough and managed to whip him with the stock of his carbine and knocked him to the ground.
The SHIELD leader grunted, but then shrugged the pain off and shot his foot up to knock the M4A1 from his hands. He pawed for the M&P at his side and the rival leader tried to step on his hand, but he rolled to the side and shot his hands out in an effort to lock the man in an ankle lock submission hold.
The ARGUS leader twisted himself in an effort to avoid the hold and kicked away at the SHIELD leader before he managed to free himself and roll away. Pushing himself back to his feet, the squad leader drew his SIG and squeeze the trigger.
A deafening gunshot rang out and the SHIELD leader squeezed his eyes shut, yet he felt no pain.
Opening his eyes, he found the ARGUS leader on his knees with his mouth hanging open and letting out a weak gurgle before he fell forward and it was then he saw the hole in the man's back.
Looking over to a building across the street, the squad leader saw his sniper waving back to him, smoke rising from her rifle's barrel.
SHIELD: 2 – ARGUS: 0
With a nod, the squad leader put his finger to his earpiece and spoke.
"This is Fox One to Helicarrier. All hostiles have been eliminated. Requesting immediate evac."

"This was another very close matchup we had with only 40 kills deciding the outcome, but ultimately it was SHIELD who prevailed, largely in part thanks to the dependability of their ACR and the XM25. ARGUS definitely put up a fight and it is safe to say had it been them with those weapons, the outcome could have been different," Bradley concluded.
"The true deadliest warrior does not listen to the results of some computer simulation. What happens on the battlefield is what matters in the end. Gloat all you want SHIELD, but in the end you know it's true," Steve spoke.
"I'm convinced these ARGUS guys are made of some tough stuff, but when it comes to being the Deadliest Warrior, it's always going to be SHIELD," Fury said before taking a celebratory puff from his cigar.

Forsworn: The rebels who seek to restore the ancient rule of the Reachmen through violent means...
Vs.

Author's Note: And thus concludes another installment of FDW and so I hope I'm fairly accurate on most things given that I wasn't familiar with ARGUS until recently.
A lot of the weapons I gave them are based upon some of the weapons I believe some of their members used on the TV series "Arrow," where they were featured prominently in some seasons, and also this one piece of artwork I saw that promotes them from Prime Earth.
That being said, my decision to give ARGUS the ARWEN 37 launcher is based upon said comic book artwork. Before any hardcore weapons enthusiasts get the urge to flood my inbox or bash me over the head, I am fully aware that said launcher is only used for anti-riot operations in real life and not meant for firing anything explosive, incendiary, or anything meant for actual warfare, but I modified it for the sake of a fictional battle, just as I saw what was done in the original "Resident Evil" game (and its remake for the Nintendo GameCube) with their grenade launcher, which was actually a hybrid design that combined parts from the ARWEN 37 and the M4A1 Carbine, and modified to fire explosive, napalm and acidic rounds.
I also was informed by Poseidon Productions of the two different models of the ACR, the semi-automatic civilian version being produced by Bushmaster, and the select fire military version being produced by Remington. I don't know if that's what they've used elsewhere, but I make the mainstream SHIELD use it here.
SHIELD and all references to it are owned by Marvel Comics and ARGUS and all references associated with it are owned by DC Comics.
With apologies to DC fans...as I'm sure this could end up being another polarizing matchup.
Until then, I hope you all enjoyed, so read, review and keep it FUCKING METAL!
