(Judith's Date)

*December 10th, 1941*

*1:25 pm*

It was yet another cold day with clouds in the sky as Judith was waiting for Calvin in front of Keen's English Chop House.

"It's been nearly thirty minutes, and I hope Calvin is okay. I'm surprised he has kept his promise despite me not wanting to go out with him since I don't want to get in the way of him and Anya." Judith spoke quietly to herself while checking her watch with a sense of eagerness due to a small part of her being excited to go out with Calvin.

There were a few more seconds of waiting until finally, Calvin finally arrived wearing a fancy tuxedo while of course, Judith wore the same outfit from the Winter Ball.

"Calvin, you made it. It's nice to see you. I was getting worried for a minute.." Judith greeted her friend while walking toward him to hug him while Calvin returned the favor.

"Good Afternoon, Judith. You thought I was going to abandon my promise? I told you, "If you become friends with Anya then I'll take you out on a date." Calvin responded to his friend with a smile while Judith chuckled back.

"Well, I know you have feelings for Anya, and I didn't want to get in the way or anything, but since you insist, I'll go out with you." Judith responded before letting out a smile as she walked toward the entrance of the restaurant while Calvin followed her.

Judith and Calvin entered the restaurant and were escorted to one of the tables where they began to sit.

"The last time I went to this place was when I exposed Anya and Cynthia. Not my proudest moment if I'm being honest. I should have never done that.." Judith vented to Calvin while looking at him; however Calvin only smiled back as he spoke once more.

"I'm sure Cynthia might forgive you if you apologize to her, but the issue is that she's super busy with her modeling and singing so it's quite hard to get to her. I know what you did was wrong, but the best thing we can do is move forward." Calvin responded to his friend while Judith smiled back.

"You're right. I've just been doing some thinking after the Winter Ball, and I really got to change my life around. I've always bullied and teared people down for my own personal gain, and It was just going to hurt me in the end, so I'm glad that Anya was able to make me see the light." Judith responded with guilt in her voice while Calvin nodded understandably.

"Exactly, I'm sure that Cynthia, Nancy, and everyone else that's not Anya might forgive you. It's going to take time, but it will all work out in the end." Calvin responded in a comforting voice while this made Judith smile.

"Thanks. I might visit Anya and her friends in the coming days and make amends to them. I hope it truly goes well." Judith responded once more in a more calm voice.

"Of course, but switching topics, I can tell you are also worried about something, right? It's about me possibly joining the army, right?" Calvin spoke to Judith once before reverting into a more serious tone while he waited for a response from his friend.

This question made Judith look at Calvin once more since she was expecting such a question; however, Judith wasn't sure exactly what to say until she finally decided on something.

"Of course. You're my friend, Calvin, and you're still young as well. I don't want you even going to war…" Judith responded with slight sadness in her voice while Calvin gently placed his hand on top of hers to give her reassurance as she looked down.

"It's okay. I might just do some training or something, but I'm not actually going to be on the battlefield…I hope.." Calvin responded kindly while Judith slowly looked back up.

"I hope so, I've also spoken to Anya on the phone yesterday, and even she was worried as well. Not just for you, but for her father as well, so in short, times are rough right now and I just don't want to see more sadness from anyone.." Judith responded seriously while staring at Calvin.

For the first time in a while, she could see the vulnerability within his face, a look she hasn't seen in a while. Judith would gently place her hand on top of his whole giving him a gentle smile.

"Calvin, as your friend. The choice is up to you. I can't force you, okay? You were there for me when I was going through difficult choices, right? So allow me to do the same for you.." Judith advised Calvin in a stern yet caring voice as this made the boy smile warmly.

"Thank you, I was just thinking about Anya, my sister, you, and everyone else. I want to protect you all from whatever might come our way. " Calvin responded as both he and Judith continued to smile for a few more moments before Judith gently removed her hand from his.

"Of course, and let's now dwell too much on this, shall we? You promised me a date and I expect you to treat it as such, okay?" Judith responded once more while letting out a smug yet sincere smile.

"Got it. I'll keep your advice in mind." Calvin responded joyfully as he smiled back as well.

The next phase of the date would begin as Calvin and Judith would be given their meal, and of course they enjoyed it quite much for the next hour.

*2:46pm*

One hour passed and Calvin and Judith were getting ready to depart from the restaurant.

"I had a good time with you, thank you for everything." Judith thanked Calvin before giving him a warm hug,

"Of course. A man should always keep his word, right? But, do you have anything else in mind or do you want to call it a day?" Calvin responded kindly while hugging her back as he stared into the eyes of his friend.

Judith looked back at Calvin and thought of different places they could go before finally deciding on an answer.

"No, I think I'm all good, and I'm busy anyways so it wouldn't have worked out anyways; however, I had a great time with you, Calvin." Judith responded with a smile while Calvin was understanding the situation.

"Oh, okay. I completely understand your situation, and I could say this was a great date as well, Judie" Calvin responded as this made Judith blush madly while looking over to her side.

"I-I'm glad to hear that. I-I guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow at school.." Judith responded once more before smiling at him.

Calvin had taken the chance to gently lift Judith's chin up to give her a soft kiss on the lips, making Judith blush even harder.

"C-Calvin?! W-What about A-Anya? Do you s-still like her…" Judith uttered in surprise despite the stuttering due to the kiss while she gently placed her fingers on her lips.

"I-I do. I just wanted to taste your lipstick. You seem to have a knack for cherry…" Calvin responded with a slight chuckle while Judith smiled back, despite her face being hot red.

"O-Oh, t-thanks. I kinda knew you liked cherries, so I figured that I should try wearing it.." Judith responded in a rather soft voice before quickly coming to her senses.

"Anywho! You should hang out with Anya one of these days. You never know when life might snatch you up, or maybe I'll just steal you away from my friend." Judith spoke once more to Calvin while giving him a confident yet smug smile.

"Of course. I'll keep your advice in mind, and it's been awhile since we've hung out anyways, so why not?, but are you sure about stealing me from Anya?" Calvin responded to his friend with a chuckle while Judith chuckled back.

"I'm jussst kidding! I still have feelings for you, but I've accepted that you'll be much happier with Anya than with me, and that's a fact, but I'll be leaving now, so take care!" Judith spoke to Calvin in a joking manner for the final time before waving him goodbye, as she quickly turned around and walked the other direction.

Calvin was now by himself, thinking about the time he had spent with Judith.

"Man, I can't believe how much Judith has changed. It's honestly strange seeing her speak and treat Anya so kindly, but It was bound to happen one way or another." Calvin spoke to himself before letting out a warm smile.

After that, Calvin would look up to see the beautiful sun piercing through the cloudy skies before eventually walking away from the restaurant with such high spirits.
