Linc was pretty bored of the whole mega guardian thing so he just waited and trained a bit more while everyone did that
now the group was heading to shalour city but first they had to go through a cave of mirrors
"is this it?" Bonne asked
"yup that's the cave." Serena said
"that place?" Ash asked
"is there something out of the ordinary inside?" Clemont asked
"I'm not saying a thing!" Serena said "you'll see for yourself!"
"kay!" Bonnie said
both Serena and Bonnie went ahead
"any idea what they're on about?" Lily asked
overtime Lily learned how to speak English without assistance
linc on the other had was still using his cane to speak English
"not a clue." Linc said though his cane
they followed them into the cave
inside there was a bunch of crystals coming out of the walls
"what's that?" Ash asked
"isn't it cool?" Serena asked "they call it reflection cave."
"reflection cave?" Ash asked
they began to look around
"wow these crystals are like big mirrors!" Bonnie said
Linc Lily and Mangey looked at their reflection and were pretty shocked by what they saw
Linc and lily looked like they swapped genders and Mangey had 7 mechanical tails in addition to his two
"trippy." Lily said
"I don't think this is normal." Linc said
ash ran up ahead and the group followed him only for the entire group to get lost
"it's like a maze in here." Clemont said
"maybe we should have taken a turn back there." Serena said
"let's head back." Ash said
they tried heading back but eventually ash Linc Lily and Mangey got separated from the others
"we're lost." Linc said
the began to look around before eventually looking at a weird mirror
what was weird about it was the fact only ash's reflection was shown
suddenly ash's reflection reached out of the mirror and grabbed Pikachu
without thinking ash Linc lily and Mangey jumped into the mirror and landed on mirror ash
"owww." Mirror ash said sounding like he was about to cry
Linc let out a growl
"ah!" Mirror ash yelped
Linc noticed his fear and calmed down a bit
"pikachu!" Ash yelled out
pikachu got up and jumped into ash's arms
mirror ash looked sad at this
Mangey tried to comfort him
"nine?" Mirror ash questioned
that caused Mangey to flinch
"why the long face?" Linc said through his cane
"well my pikachu got stolen by pokemon thieves and then I saw that one and I reached out for it and..." mirror ash began before starting to cry a bit
"now now turn that frown upside down." Linc said "a smile gives your friends hope and keeps your enemies guessing."
"really?" Mirror ash asked
"of course it's something I've noticed with my ash he keeps smiling during his friendly battles." Linc said "now then let's go take down some pokemon thieves."
"really? you're going to help?" Mirror ash asked
"of course we will!" Ash said "what did they look like?"
"well they head a big red R on their outfits and-" mirror ash began before Linc interrupted
"and we already know who you're talking about let's go." Linc said
"wait how?" Mirror ash asked
"let's just say we're familiar with them." Linc said
"by the way I never got your names." Mirror ash said
"I'm Linc that's Lily and that's Mangey." Linc said before he began to smell the air for team rockets scent
Linc got a scent and began to follow it
"Linc you kinda remind me of someone." Mirror ash said "in terms of appearance."
"who?" Linc asked
"my friend linka." Mirror ash said "though she can be a bit mean."
"how is she mean?" Lily asked
"well she constantly tries to get me to evolve pikachu telling me to ditch fletchling and hawlucha." Mirror ash said "telling me that a fighting type that is too scared to fight is useless."
Linc and lily and ash were stunned
"Leon is nicer but doesn't do much to stop her." Mirror ash said "and nine is too closed off so I don't really talk to him that much."
"he tried to erase multiple universes." Mangey said bluntly now having a better understanding of English and what happened with nine
"he what?" Mirror ash questioned
"I'm with him on this one, he what?" Ash asked
"yup I was there me and another me named sails took over one of his giant robots." Mangey said
"I'm so proud of my son." Linc said
"your what." Mirror ash questioned
later
eventually they found team rocket looking over a mountain
"man this place is weird." Meowth said
"salutations dumbasses!" Linc said causing team rocket to jump up in shock
"what?!?" Team rocket yelled before the regained their composure and started their motto
"prepare for trouble-" Jessie began before Linc took mirror ash's pikachu back
"do you have no respect for the motto!?!" Jessie yelled
"bold of you to assume I have respect for you at all." Linc said
"that's it!" Jessie said as she sent out pumpkaboo "pumpkaboo shadow ball!"
"inkay psybeam!" James said as he sent out inkay
"go hawlucha!" Both ash's said as they sent out their hawluchas
"go scizor!" Linc said sending out his scizor
while ash's hawlucha stood with great strength and confidence mirror ash's was much more timid...
well at least it was
Linc's scizor gave some compliments and mirror ash's hawlucha turned to mirror ash who gave him a small smile
suddenly mirror hawlucha stood up straight and looked more confident than before
"hawlucha use flying press!" Both ash and mirror ash said
both hawlucha and mirror hawlucha jumped in the air and hit both inkay and pumpkaboo
"scizor use icicle crash!" Linc yelled
scizor dropped a bunch of icicles on pumpkaboo and inkay knocking them into team rocket
"pikachu use thunderbolt!" Ash and mirror ash said
both pikachu and mirror Pikachu fired the attack and sent team rocket flying back to where they came from
"ash could you make sure they get back?" Linc asked "i'm going to have a word with linka."
"you got it!" Ash said before running back
"now you don't have to do that-" mirror ash began before Linc cut him off
"she needs to be humbled and I am more than happy to do that." Linc said "or you can do it if you want."
"I can't even beat Serena how am I gonna beat linka?" Mirror ash asked
"can I talk to your team for a minute?" Linc asked
later
"are you sure about this?" Mirror ash asked
"absolutely." Linc said from the bushes
"there you are cry baby!" Mirror Serena said
"hey Serena." Mirror ash said
"there's my favourite weakling!" Linka said looking like someone who didn't live in a forest for four years
(bitch.) mirror ash thought to himself (where did that come from?)
"hey ash!" Leon said
"ash." Nine said
"nine." Mirror ash said
"anyway let's have a battle!" Serena said
"ok!" Mirror ash said
"wow did you finally replace those worthless pokemon?" Linka asked
it took everything Linc had to not tear her apart
"no I was taught a few things." Mirror ash said
"well let's see what you can do!" Mirror Serena said as she sent out fennekin
"go hawlucha!" Mirror ash said as he sent out his hawlucha who looked more confident than before
"fennekin use-" mirror Serena began before she was cut off by fennekin getting one shot by hawlucha
"huh?!" Everyone said
"that's impossible!" Mirror Bonnie said
"even with the most powerful magic that couldn't be done!" mirror clemont said
"ok I'll bite what did you do?" Linka asked
"all it took was a little bit of motivation and a confidence boost." Linc said emerging from the bushes with Mangey and lily behind him
nine eyes widened when he saw Mangey who looked at him angrily
"who are you?" Linka asked "some sort of comedian?"
"nope I'm someone who sees the potential in everyone Pokemon." Linc said
"ha what a joke!" Linka said "we may have came here by accident but that is the best thing I ever did!"
"so you don't miss anyone?" Linc asked
"nope!" Linka said
"a shame." Linc said "because I'm sure they miss you."
"what do you know?" Linka said
"I know a lot of things." Linc said
"like how nine once tried destroy multiple universes." Mangey said shocking everyone
"you can talk?!" Nine asked
"it's something i picked up." Mangey said "nine tried to reshape a world using the... what was it again? Oh right the paradox prism."
"anyway you enjoy that information! now ash the best of luck to you we better get going." Linc said turning around
"yea stop wasting your time on that weakling." Linka said
Linc stopped in his tracks
"what did you just say?" Linc asked turning his head a bit
"you heard me." Linka said
"charizard." Linc said sending out his delta charizard "humble her."
"my charizard is better!" Linka said sending out her normal charizard "use slash!"
Linka's charizard tried to slash Linc's delta charizard but the attack phased right though him
"what?!" Linka questioned
"shadow ball." Linc said
Linc's delta charizard fired the ball and one shot linka's normal charizard
"how?!" Linka asked
"we may be mirrors of each other but our strength gap is very large." Linc said
"what do you mean mirrors?" Mirror Serena asked
just then ash came back
"hey! I sent them back!" Ash said
"and that's our cue to leave." Linc said "later."
and with that Linc Mangey and Lily left the confused group of mirror counterparts behind
after a bit of trial and error the group finally got back to the normal world
"ash, Linc, Lily, Mangey! Are you guys ok?" Clemont asked upon finding them
"we're good just had to help someone." Ash said
and Linc simply nodded
and that's that
so what's the difference between Linc and linka here simple linka doesn't have amnesia and didn't live in the forest for 4 years and over that time she started acting more and more like Lynn jr
also rip Gen 5 fans they were sacrificed to resurrect Gen 6 fans
fun fact pokemon X was my first pokemon game so I'm glad to see Z-A
