Day 14 Prompt: Spike ignoring Buffy
Takes place somewhere between Potential (7x12) and First Date (7x14).
Buffy opened her eyes to the back of a platinum blond head she knew all too well.
Her heart skipped a beat.
God, she spent the night in Spike's bed, and he was... sitting on the floor reading a book?
She blinked incredulously.
"Mornin', sunshine," he greeted, otherwise ignoring her in favour of his book.
"Huh. Hi."
She sat up, frowning at the blanket still half-draped over her.
"You plan on givin' back that bed, Slayer, or should I crash in yours?" He teased after a while, glancing back at her with a fond smile.
"Right. Huh... Thanks."
She bolted.
Even Slayers sometimes pass out from exhaustion. But soulful Spike sure knows how to play it cool ^^
