Chapter 6: Taking a Break

I woke up the next day, somehow in the middle of the bed with two girls on both sides of me.

Shuri just giggled at the girl's words while I just shook my head.
"Hmph, I am still in the lead." Akeno snorted and then hugged me tighter, smirking at Velvel, making the silver haired girl grit her teeth.
"Well, get well soon and then I will beat you up again."
"'I'd like to see you try." Akeno replied back, pumped up.
"Alright alright. No fighting in the hospital." I looked at Baraqiel. "Did they discharge her?"
He nodded.
"Should I escort them back?" I asked.
Today was Satanael's funeral and I didn't think it would be good for me to go.
The only reason why they were even doing such a thing for a traitor was because he had been with the Grigori for thousands of years and had also made several contributions. Although I doubt many would be attending such an event.
Baraqiel understood the reason and let out a sigh. "Yes. I have an important job right after this and will have to leave for a while."

So even he was not going. Then again, that bastard had tried to kill Akeno and had publicly made a deal for his 'children's' life. It would be strange if he went.
Shuri looked at Velvet and invited her to join us for the day and the girl agreed, although she made sure to show her fake disinterest.
Before leaving, I took some time to visit the other members of the Slash Dog team. They had been injured badly in the attack. They had all been healed by Grigori's Twilight Healing user but they still needed to rest for a while.
Funny thing was that the ones caught in the ritual were the ones who were the least hurt in the incident.
I met Shigune while returning.

"It's fine. You were caught in a mess because of our negligence and it was the least we could do. They didn't do anything to you, did they?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.
After all, Shizuka was in a similar situation so who knows.
I hadn't paid attention to this back then but last night this thought struck me.
Her face became red at the insinuation and she rapidly shook her head in denial.
"Good. If you need any kind of help, you can contact me." I brought out a card and gave it to her. "You don't need to worry. This kind of thing….I won't let it happen again."

I felt a bit responsible for them because I was the one who informed Azazel about her and the other kids and now they were attacked, while on a mission I had negotiated for.

"That I do but….you already have others in the TI. The twenty people assigned to you by Lady Penemue are growing well and are quite good at their work. You want to expand more and working only under the TI will hinder it so I was thinking about asking for the Business and Management side of things. She explained but I already knew it.

"What about the apprentice of Augusta? I think her name was Walburga?"
"She wasn't found anywhere."

It was going to be awkward as hell, training her.
I had barely talked to her since that day.
"On another topic, Yasaka contacted me about the incident. It seems that things on her side are calming down a bit but the core of the problem still remains. She has sent us the list of people she will be assigning and their schedules. These are the ones who have been causing the most disturbances against our clan." She passed me the list.
The names were the same as the ones I had given Yasaka.
"Alright….I will take care of it."
"No. You shouldn't directly involve yourself in this matter. Fallen Angels will be implicated otherwise. Take Momiji-chan and Shizuka-chan for help. In fact, I have had a discussion with other Principal Clans and they might send some of their own people to help."

"No." She denied. "You will be taking a break after confirming the names in the have been working too hard these past few months and burning yourself out. Take some time to take a break. Azazel, Shemhazai-sama and Penemue have agreed to this as well." She brought out a document and handed it to me.

"Azazel sent this?"
"He was worried that you wouldn't accept it so he handed it to me. You should take some time off and spend some time with everyone."

I woke up the next day and found myself hugged on both sides by two gorgeous girls.
The room still had a musky smell all over and anyone who entered the room would know instantly what had happened there so the first thing I did was, cleaned everyone up with my Clean Skill.
There was not a trace of last night's debauchery left in the room except for the satisfied look on both their faces.
The reason I didn't go further with Akeno was first, I wanted to talk to Shuri about the entire situation and second, I wanted her to grow a bit more.

Can you imagine finding out from someone that her mother and dear brother, the boy she has a mountain sized crush on were sleeping together without understanding anything about the situation? So I took the opportunity to explain everything to her clearly. Despite how you treat her, Akeno is a surprisingly mature girl. She understood and is actually fine with it. Then again, it must be due to her Fallen Angel side. Baraqiel was not bothered by it either."

"I didn't know….Why didn't you tell me?"
"Ara, Akeno was upset that you were keeping it a secret and she decided to do the same. But now it seems that she told you. Tell me….did you already sleep with my daughter?" She smiled but there was a slight hint of danger in that smile.
"We….just played around a bit." I explained the situation of last night and she let out a tired sigh.
"I was actually expecting her to jump you but you both actually held back. Good. You can play around for now. At least wait for her to be sixteen. I am too young to be a grandmother."
"...hah."
She let out a giggle at the stunned look on my face. "Did you think I would be angry?"
I nodded. "A bit, yes."
"Tell me, would you do anything to hurt my daughter?"
"Never."
"Then why would I be worried? As for Akeno, I am afraid she will rebel against me if I deny her of her biggest wish. Just make sure you both don't rush things."
"...Okay." I replied seriously.
"Ufufufufu no need to be so serious." She came to my side and put a hand on my crotch. "Anyways, it seems that you were quite pent up from all the stress." She whispered and licked my ear, sucking it lightly while her grip tightened around my rapidly hardening shaft. "Let me take care of it."
"Hmm." I turned to face her and the next second our lips met and our tongues were exploring each other's mouths with practised ease.

The energy kept on increasing and it was incomparable to Kalawarner. Maybe it depended on the strength of both parties? While Kala was strong, Shuri was stronger. The real surprise however was when my energy reached inside her, another surge of energy appeared from within her. This one felt completely pure and made of flames and heat.
Our eyes widened.
Suzaku.
The reddish glow on Shuri's eyes deepened and she went into a trance like state as flames lit both of us. My own Purifying Flames came out and intertwined with hers, twisting and merging.
Dammit, I should have put a stronger barrier around.
The energy was then absorbed by both of our bodies and this time, I felt the energy was several times more than when I did this with Kala but even this was nothing when compared to what came next.

I looked at Shuri in surprise and even she herself was surprised at the turn of events.

Two hours later, we lay side by side, our clothes completely charred by the flames and so was the floor.
I was thankful that I was able to throw in a quick barrier when I got a moment of time in between and no one walked in on us.
I looked at the massive increase in my LP.
Suzaku actually provided more LP's than Shuri alone did.
In fact, it was second only to Lavinia and Akeno.
Why was it so?
Strength or because she was actually a part of Suzaku Himejima in the story?
Who knows?
There were too many things I didn't know about the System and needed me to experiment more.
By the time I left the room, it was already nearing afternoon.
Velvet had enough of playing around and wanted to return back to her minions, aka Valerie and Gasper so I took her back.

It had been a month since my holidays had begun and while I won't say it, I actually felt a lot better after this.
I didn't even realise I needed such a thing.
A week after my holiday started, Kala started her work in managing several of the Grigori businesses.
Several factions were curious about the sudden death of Satanael and sudden reveal of the new cadre of the Fallen Angels, especially the other two Biblical factions.
They had sent several spies which I identified but when I presented the documents to Azazel, he kept them aside.
He even ordered me to do nothing to them and instead used them to feed the other side with wrong information and so now….Kalawarner was a hidden Fallen Angel who had been training under Penemu for several decades and working undercover for the Grigori under the identity of an ordinary two Winged Fallen Angel to monitor the threats from inside. She was responsible for informing the Grigori about Satanael's reveal and was responsible for taking him down with the help of Lavinia Reni and Shizuka Himejima who had suddenly gained the Incinerate Anthem.
My involvement in the whole incident was filed directly under Azazel with no other Fallen Angel getting access to it. The other Cadres were also silent about the whole thing but I was greeted by several of them in private.
The biggest surprise among them was….Kokabiel.
The guy actually came and apologised. I was so surprised that the first thing I did was read up on him and found out that Shemhazai had a talk with him and while he didn't agree with my choices, he was actually happy that I was on the Fallen Angel's side.
I wouldn't lie but it gave me a completely different look on the guy's character.
After that Shemhazai came to me and talked a bit about the guy as well.
Kokabiel was one of the people who actually fell because he was overprotective of humans….
He had actually witnessed a massacre of a village of humans by devils. It was the place that he was assigned to protect. He had rampaged, killing the ones responsible but also several other humans, some of whom had summoned the devils. This caused him to fall.
Due to this incident, he developed a hate against both Angels and his Father who didn't let him do his duty and the Devils who were the reason for the whole incident.
He in general wasn't a fan of other Gods either and the Himejima as the worshippers of the Shinto Gods was not among his favourite people. At best, he was indifferent towards them.
It was unreasonable but who said everyone in the world had to be sane.
That said, for all his hatred of others, he actually cared a lot about Fallen Angels in his own twisted way. As long as it was for increasing the power of the Fallen Angels, he would do anything.
It reminded me of a character from an anime I had watched in my last life….Danzo Shimura. But unlike Danzo, this guy was an idiot.
The crazy bastard.
So choosing Akeno, a half Fallen with the blood of the Himejima over Satanael….was completely against his will.
This kind of person was a fanatic, power keg which could be set off at the slightest of mishap and thus needed to be kept under watch.
I kind of understood why he did what he had done in the story. For a person like him who absolutely hated the other two sides, possible talks of peace was probably the last thing he could stand.
There was no way that such a big decision was taken out of nowhere. The leaders of the Three Factions had to be discussing it for at least a few years and maybe Kokabiel caught a whiff of this?
After knowing all that I know about him, I personally think he wasn't trying to win against Sirzechs or Serafall in that battle.
All he wanted was to kill Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri and lighting the fuse for the war and completely burn away any chance of peace as long as Sirzechs and Serafall were Satans.
His idiotic actions were now making sense.
For this very reason I had started having his people infiltrated, the kind who would kill him at the slightest hint of such actions.
I won't let the mess with Satanael be repeated again.
"Where are we going, Az-kun?" The blonde girl beside me asked in a singsong tone.
Over this last month, I had been spending a lot of time with Lavinia and she was receiving my advances quite readily.
She had shared a lot about her childhood and her time as Glenda's apprentice with me.
There were a few other people she got along with very well.
First was Velvet which was already understood.
Next were Gasper, Valerie and surprisingly or unsurprisingly, Momiji. The last three people had something common with her….each one of them had difficulty controlling Sacred Gears and had suffered because of it.
Not Valerie to such an extent but the Graal was a nasty piece of work. Oh it was a researcher's wet dream, sure but the backlash from overusing it was just as bad if not worse than the two Heavenly Dragons.
On the matter of Heavenly Dragons, both the girls seemed to have been stimulated by the incident and had achieved Balance Breakers in this last month of training.
We had reached where I wanted to and I answered Lavinia's question. "Kala called me for something."
I knocked on the door and entered.
Inside the office, Kala was sitting on her chair with three secretaries working beside her.
Every one of them were from the original group we had trained. These three were the top of the group in terms of talent, and would be called geniuses in any faction. I had named them Maria, Rose and Sheena.
Yes.
These three were the walls protecting Kala.
I thought the naming was great.
I had gifted each of them with D Ranked Enhanced Potential and D Ranked Enhanced Talent.
Kala needed some good subordinates who could actually support her so I didn't mind splurging a bit.
In this last month, due to the blonde girl beside me and Akeno, not to mention the Tantric Strengthening Skill with Kala and Shuri, I had gained a lot of LPs and could afford the spendings.
In fact, I had also found three Sacred Gears for each of them.
All three of them were Half Fallens so no one even considered that they were given those by me.
Maria and Rose had Sterling Type Sacred Gears. Maria had a Sterling Blue and Rose had a Sterling Red while Sheena had a Twilight Healing which I had gotten after searching for three whole years.
Due to the added boost, they were now both Six Winged Fallen and were undergoing the same training that Kala underwent.
"What did you need me for?" I asked.
She looked at Lavinia beside me and I nodded. "I trust her."
"Two things." She raised two fingers. "Choose one finger."
I picked the right one.
"We found some insider information about the Holy Sword Project. The time you have been waiting for will come in six months. We have managed to implant someone inside who will keep on giving the inside information to us."
"Great!"
Then her face took on a slightly awkward look.
"Second news?" I asked.
She nodded.
"What is it?"
"Raynare will be released in a week."
….
….
….
….
"Oh….and what of it?"
She looked at me. "Az."
"I don't care about her, Kala. You should know that better than anyone. Let her be."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
The blonde beside me was confused. "Who is Raynare?"
"A bitch." I spat out in a reflex.
Lavinia was taken aback at the sudden venom in my words.
Huh….it looks like I actually cared….a little.
"She is someone who had tried to frame me for a Level Three Crime in Grigori when I was twelve. Let's leave it at that."
"Oh, so a bad woman."
"That's putting it lightly but yes, let's go with that. Anyways don't stress out about her. Let her be."
With the Holy Sword Project coming along. I had no time to think about stupid people. I had too much to do.

I am back with another chapter of the Creative Fallen.
Akeno finally got some affection from Onii-sama and Azrael came to a realisation that the Himejima family is weird.
Everyone forced Azrael to take a vacation to chill out a bit.
This chapter was more about 'Plot' Instead of Plot because we didn't have any 'Plot' in the last two chapters. And the ones who voted for this wanted 'Plot', so here it is.
In the next chapter, we will see exactly what Azrael is planning and have him interact with other factions.
