Chapter 77
No one could believe what they had just seen. Just that fast Smoker had been killed by Duboi's supposed ability, but what was his ability? How did it work?
Kraken stared with a shock expression at Smoker who was flat on his back. He looked around at everyone, they too were stuck with fear and shock. Akainu even nervously stared at Smoker.
"Look what you've done Fleet Admiral..." Kraken said softly.
Akainu looked at Kraken with anger.
"THIS ABILITY WON'T SINGLE OUT ANY PERSONAL ENEMIES YOU HAVE! YOU'VE JUST PUT THE LIVES OF EVERY ONE HERE AT RISK!" Kraken yelled.
"Who are you to talk to the fleet admiral this way coward!" Akainu snapped back.
"What the hell just happened!? He just got shot through the neck for no reason!" Usopp yelled out.
Mihawk stared with a small bit of shock.
"Not for no reason Usopp... because the Fleet Admiral stated our intentions to find Dubois this entire island is no longer safe!" Kraken yelled.
"The... entire island..." Usopp said, defeatedly.
Kraken grit his teeth.
"Everyone grab what you need and QUICK! We have to get off this island NOW!" Kraken yelled.
As Kraken said this, an innocent butterfly flew past his face. Kraken froze with fear as the butterfly entered his vision. It was as if time slowed as he watched the butterfly fly towards the Straw Hat Shinobi. Chopper looked at the butterfly and smiled, raising his hoof for the butterfly to land on. Kraken couldn't get the words out but extended his hand trying to tell the young deer to stop.
Just as the butterfly came into contact with Chopper's hoof...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
"AAHHHHHHHHHH!" Someone yelled.
Kraken was frozen with fear as was everyone when they saw Sanji on the ground holding his left leg, that had been blown off when he kicked the butterfly away from Chopper.
"What... What..." Usopp stuttered.
Akainu stared with fright now!
"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!" Usopp screamed at the top of his lungs.
DEATH HQ MEETING HALL
The meeting hall of DEATH HQ was packed out with soldiers from all over the blues and of course the last two DEATH generals Lucci and Kuro.
Lucci sat down next to Kruo.
"What in god's name happened to you?" Kuro asked, without looking at Lucci.
"I had a run in with the Straw Hat Shinobi." Lucci replied calmly.
"Looks like they did a number on you." Kuro said.
"That reminds me, when will you get your hands dirty?" Lucci asked.
Kuro grimaced.
"You haven't done much of anything since joining this organization besides the training. What's your gain? Aren't you the same captain who faked his death to live a life of peace? Why come here? Maybe I should have locked you in that cell with the other two traitors." Lucci said, staring at Kruo.
Kuro looked at Lucci.
"Then why don't you give it a try."
Lucci smiled insanely at Kuro and licked his lips.
"In due time." Lucci said, looking forward again.
Kuro continued to stare at Lucci, then looked forward.
"Hmph."
Mifune and Zayoshin sat in seats to the right and left of Psycho, who stood at the podium. Cyclone by his side. Pictures of fallen DEATH members as well as pictures of Eneru and Arlong were on display. The meeting finally began.
"Thank you all for coming. We have come so far in so little time. And though it saddens me that we've had to lose many in our fight for peace, the end goal is what is most important." Psycho took a drink.
"For a long time, I've trained to gain the strength I have today to be able to finally enact my plan of world peace. I've failed twice before, but the third time will be the charm!" Psycho yelled.
Robin snuck to the doors outside of the auditorium Psycho was giving his speech in. She put her ear to the door.
"Tomorrow is the day we finally make our move again. I've gained the powers of the dark dark fruit, the magma fruit, the tremor fruit, the light fruit, etc! How will they beat me now!? How will they beat us!?" Psycho yelled.
The room erupted in a cheer.
"Who is he talking about?" Robin asked.
"Tomorrow at 10am I will be leaving to visit Won Shi Tong's library, near the Earth Kingdom. I expect to be gone for one day. There's something I left there quite a while ago that I need to retrieve, but we will not meet back here at DEATH HQ... while I'm gone, Cyclone and the DEATH generals will see to it you are all put on boats out of here to our next destination..." Psycho stopped.
Everyone waited.
"THE NINJA WORLD!" Psycho yelled out.
The entire auditorium erupted again with cheers and laughter.
"We will start the 5th great ninja war with five simultaneous attacks on each of their villages with my new devil fruit abilities... then your teams will rush in and destroy everything. They won't even know what hit them!" Psycho said, "But tonight... tonight we secure the rest of the Grand Line by defeating the remaining emperors Shanks, Kaido, and Big Mom!" Psycho announced.
Robin stepped away from the door, her hand over her mouth. She couldn't believe what she just heard! As she backed away she bumped into someone, she jumped forward and turned around, her eyes filled with shock at who she was staring at!
DOOOOOOM!
Frank G stood over Robin staring at her with his insane smile, his crew right behind him.
"Care to get the door for me, pretty bird?" Frank asked, ""FEE HEE HAHA!"
Robin clenched her chest; she remembered Frank well! Even before the straw hats lost to him, he had completely obliterated Crocodile in a fight while Crocodile was still coming up as a gangster/pirate.
"Captain, I believe this is "The Demon Child" Nico Robin, archeologist for the Straw Hat Pirates." Branch said with a smile.
"Robin? Oh! Should we tell her about that green haired fool who came looking for her!?" Frank laughed.
Robin snapped and grabbed Frank G all over with her arms. The crew got ready to attack.
"STOP NOT ANOTHER STEP!" Frank yelled.
Frank's head was pulled back so far he could see behind him, but Robin stared with shock, fright, and fatigue as she tried to stop Frank's head as it slowly came up!
"What the hell is this monster!?" Robin asked herself.
Frank's head finally came up and he stared at Robin once more, with that insane smile.
"Do it. But you better kill me." Frank said.
Robin began breathing heavily and she let Frank go and fell to her knees.
Frank and the others stared at Robin.
"Pathetic! You're no demon child! You can't even kill anything!" Frank said, walking past Robin.
The rest of the Coated Pirates walked past Robin as she clutched her chest on the ground. As Frank walked into the auditorium, DEATH members were leaving out.
"Psycho!" Frank yelled out.
Psycho looked up at Frank.
"Frank, you missed the meeting." Psycho said.
"I'm not one of your lackies Psycho. What your organization has planned means nothing to me, I'm ready for our fight to the death!" Frank declared.
Psycho smirked.
"But Frank what about that thing I wanted you to do for me?" Psycho asked.
Frank frowned.
"What thing?"
"I need you to do me the honor of defeating Big Mom." Psycho said.
Frank stared at Psycho.
"So you're sending me to do something I was going to do anyway?" Frank asked.
Psycho stared back at Frank.
"That's exactly what I'm doing." Psycho said.
The tension in the room slowly built, it could have popped off at any moment! But Robin walking in the room disrupted it.
"Robin." Psycho said softly, I thought you were asleep.
"N..No... I have my answer." Robin said.
Psycho squinted.
"Could you leave us Frank." Psycho insisted.
Frank smiled.
"Sure. I've got a certain hag to see anyway, but Psycho." Frank said, turning back to look at Psycho, "You just gave me your last order."
Psycho stared at Frank with slight anger as the captain and his crew left the auditorium.
The coated pirates walked through DEATH HQ.
"So captain what's next? Do we assassinate Psycho?" Branch asked.
Frank smiled.
"Of course! But it won't be in this world..." Frank said.
Everyone became confused.
"Psycho thinks he's dealing with some idiot!? Sending me on what he thinks will be a suicide mission while he goes into that world!?" Frank yelled.
The crew was still confused.
"Psycho is going to die by my hand... and I'll do it in the ninja world!" Frank yelled out.
Psycho stared at Robin, and Robin back at Psycho.
"So, what is it?" Psycho asked.
Robin looked down, then back up with determination.
"I'll go with you to the library." Robin said.
Psycho stared at the young woman.
"Then you know what to do." Psycho said, walking off stage.
Cyclone walked through the halls of DEATH HQ, on his way to Wano to confront Kaido.
"In a one-on-one fight they say to always bet on Kaido" ... that's funny." Cyclone said, softly eating an apple.
"Sure, he's tough, but he's no king of beasts..." Cyclone kept walking, "That would be me." Cyclone said with an evil grin, his eye turning completely red.
