Chapter 78
Everyone hurried onto Kraken's ship as Kraken directed them. Kraken hurried up to the wheel and raised anchor. The Marine ship hurried away from the island and out to sea.
"Everyone get to my office and stay there it's safe there! I'm going to take Smoker to the morgue..." Kraken said, looking at Akainu who stared back with anger.
"How does it feel getting an innocent Marine captain killed?" Kraken asked angrilly.
"How does it feel to run on your government from two top criminals!" Akainu yelled back.
Before Kraken could say anything back, Sakura noticed something.
"Hey... um... big marine guy... your hand is bleeding." Sakura said nervously.
Akainu looked at the kunoichi angrily and down at his hand, there was a hole in his palm!
"What the hell!?" Akainu yelled.
"Ouch! Something stung me in the foot..." Usopp said, when he looked down there was a hole in his foot!
"WHAT THE!? HOW!" Usopp yelled in pain.
Kraken's eyes shot wide open, and he looked up. Dark clouds hung over them and thunder sounded. It was about to rain.
"GET TO MY OFFICE NOW BEFORE THE RAIN BEGINS TO POUR! NONE OF US WILL SURVIVE IN THE RAIN!" Kraken yelled.
Everyone ran into Kraken's office on board the ship. Chopper patched up Usopp's foot. Usopp stared down in defeat.
"It's over... there's nothing we can do." Usopp said.
"DON'T JUST ADMIT DEFEAT!" Nami yelled.
"But seriously... what can we do?" Naruto asked.
Kraken pulled his hat down and crossed his arms.
"Well, nothing..." Kraken said.
Everyone was shocked.
"Duboi's ability affects reality itself and causes misfortune to target anyone chasing him, except these "tragedies" as he calls them do way more damage than they should, as you can see..." Kraken said.
Everyone looked at the damage they've received so far but still couldn't believe it.
"How does something like that even work Kraken? How much more powerful do devil fruits get?" Kakashi asked.
"To be honest with you, the god fruits should have been the most powerful fruit you guys fought, but Dubois... he told me he created the fruit for himself." Kraken said.
Everyone was surprised.
"Impossible! Fruits can't be created only replicated!" Akainu spit.
"That's what I thought too, but isn't it funny how a WANTED man has a fruit which gives him the strangely specific ability to murder anyone who wants to find him?" Kraken asked rhetorically.
Akainu groaned and grabbed his hand.
"That's why I believed him. And everything else he told me that day. I had no intentions of dealing with this ability again... I'm sorry you all." Kraken said.
Naruto smiled.
"No need to apologize Kraken!"
"Yeah! Sucks what happened to Smokey he was interesting!" Luffy said.
Kraken smirked.
"But we're safe in here... while I was being attacked the first time, I got rid of anything that wasn't fastened down and got rid of any weapons. All we must do is keep going west into the Florian Triangle!" Kraken said.
"How long will that take?" Luffy asked.
"Well... a lot longer now that I can't stand outside the ship and see exactly where we are... but that's another reason I chose that island to camp on, Dubois isn't too far from it!"
Kakashi and the rest of Team 7 sat off on their own.
"So, this Dubois guy might have the answers..." Naruto said.
Sakura and Kakashi nodded.
"He's the only guy besides Cyclone and Psycho that's old enough to tell us what's really going on." Sasuke said.
"What about that whole draft thing... how was that never a topic all these years?" Sakura asked.
"Especially Itachi being a part of it... he never brought it up." Sasuke said.
"It's because the draft is done in secret." Fujitora said.
The ninja looked at the elder shinobi, who had gotten rid of his marine admiral jacket.
"CP0 agents are sent to the shinobi world roughly around the time of each village's chunin exams. Once the strongest of the ninja are acknowledged, the kage sends them here with the agents... it's all done behind the scenes, so the ninja world doesn't attempt to come over here trying to get their loved ones back." Fujitora explained.
The shinobi stared at Fujitora with anger.
"In the case of your brother, he may have been too young to even realize what was going on. They had his files from his performance in the chunin exams, but this "draft" is just kidnapping at the end of the day. Kids, even babies are taken to be brought up as strong marines." Fujitora said, "Imagine how many "marines" are out there sacrificing themselves not even knowing where they truly come from." Fujitora said.
Naruto put his head down.
"How did you end up here Issho? A grown, powerful shinobi like you could take a few agents." Kakashi said.
Fujitora smiled.
"It's true I could've! But they threatened to destroy the village hidden in stone if I didn't come here... so I decided I'd use this as an opportunity to destroy this whole thing from the inside out! I already succeeded in the removal of the warlords." Fujitora said.
Mihawk looked at Fujitora.
"So, it was you who approved that?" Mihawk said.
"Is that a problem, Mr. Hawk eyes?" Fujitora smiled.
"No. I don't really care. It's boring just sitting around anyway." Mihawk said.
Fujitora smiled.
"So, now we're going to meet this guy... Dubois... I'm nervous." Naruto said.
Kraken put his hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"It's alright, Naruto." Kraken said.
Naruto smiled and pumped his fist.
ABOUT 20 MILES FROM WHOLE CAKE ISLAND
Frank G stood at the front of his ship, watching the vast ocean as it swayed in front of him. His right hand, Renji, approached him.
"Are we really going there?" Renji asked.
Frank looked back at Renji.
"Of course! Not only are we going there, we're going to slaughter everyone in sight. Those weak shinobi don't know a thing about devil fruits!" Frank said.
"Frank!"
"I'm never one to question your motives, but what are we really gaining from going there? Why not just go after the One Piece captain?" Renji asked.
"Hey! Frank!"
"Because the One Piece is a fool's goal, why rule the Grand Line when you can rule THE WORLD! FEE HEE-"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!
Out of nowhere Frank's ship was hit heavy on the side with some sort of blast!
"What the hell was that!?" Fank yelled out.
Rationingu zapped to the side of the ship and saw a giant hole in the ship! Rationingu looked up at Branch who stepped on the floor of the ship and grew more wood to patch the hole.
"Captain." Seiya said, approaching Frank with a spyglass.
Frank snatched the spyglass and for probably the first time in his life he felt a tiny ounce of worry!
"That ship... those sails... that attack!" Frank struggled to get out.
CIPHER POL AGIS NEGA
"Cipher Pol Nega!" Frank yelled out.
A very tall man in an all black suit, with black gloves, and a bright white marine jacket hanging from his shoulders walked up. His most noticable feature? A completely solid black mask covering his entire face.
"The man with the black mask..." Frank said.
The man stood with his hands behind his back, his soldier's arms drawn and ready to fire.
"Sorry about the damage Frank! I tried to get your attention but uhm, it appeared you couldn't hear me!" The man said.
Frank continued to stare at the man. Renji stared at him. Without moving, Renji asked Frank what they were about to do next.
"What's next?" Renji asked.
"I'll just keep him talking. Seiya's already on it." Frank said.
Frank walked towards the front of his ship.
"What did I do now officer!?" Frank asked with a smile.
"What did you do? Well Frank, you've done quite a bit actually! Murder, prison breaks, theft, distruction of property the list goes on Frank! And now you think you're just about to waltz in to Toto Land and start a war with an emperor? Not on my watch!" The man said.
"And what's wrong with stealing from the rich and giving back to the poor!? What me and LinLin have going on is none of your concern!" Frank smiled.
"Ha ha. You're a funny guy Frank! See the problem with that is you haven't just stolen from any rich person; you stole from the celestial dragons. That's a bold crime Frank!" The man said.
"Just like those clowns steal and kill to get what they please and yet you lick their boot!? You're a fool! FEE HEE HA HA!" Frank said.
The man stared for a moment.
"Look Frank, I don't want to kill all of ya. Just you! So, go ahead and come on over here and let's avoid taking this any further than we have to huh? You think pirates like Gold Roger died so you could keep being crazy and do what you want!? These are different times Frank! This thing? It's DONE!" The man yelled..
Seiya, with two arrows in his hand, loaded up his bow. His plan was to shoot an arrow in the air while simultaneously shooting an arrow directly at the man with the black mask. Seiya waited until the perfect moment.
"So, what's it gonna be Frank?" The man asked.
Frank smiled and put his hands up.
"I'm tired of running. Take me in, but I don't trust your guards! Put their guns away!" Frank yelled.
The man looked around at his soldiers.
"Ease soldiers!" The man said, the soldiers pointed their arms in the sky, "It's done Frank! Now come on. And I'll give the rest of you the next 20 minutes to make yourself scarce!"
Suddenly a whistling noise could be heard shooting into the sky. Everyone looked up, from the Coated Pirates to CPN. The man in the black mask looked up for a moment then quickly looked back down.
"A tra-" CRASH!
A golden arrow crashed straight into the black mask. Direct hit.
"CHIEF!" An agent yelled.
"GREAT SHOT SEIYA!" Frank yelled.
"Wow..." Misuta said.
"You see what happens when you attack the Coated Pirates mask!? You die! No one is exempt! FEE HEE HA HA HA HA HA!" Frank laughed, then became serious.
The man's foot wiggled, then his body began to move, and he slowly sat up. The arrow didn't even make a dent in his mask. Seiya couldn't believe it.
"I-Impossible..." Seiya said.
The man took the arrow out his mask and looked at it.
"I tried to show kidness, you mistook it for weakness." The man said softly.
Fank and the others stared.
"NOW I WILL SHOW STRENGTH! But you may mistake it for brutality!" The man yelled.
"With what!? One marine ship!" Frank yelled with a smile, but that smile slowly faded as the waters began to rumble.
Suddenly at least 10 Marine ships came from underwater! And 10 more showed up from behind the black mask's ship. The ships so perfectly aligned behind CPN's ship they couldn't be seen staring straight at them.
"You were saying Frank?" The man asked.
Frank couldn't believe what he was seeing. This had to be an ambush.
"We know everything about everything going on around here Frank. You should know that better than anybody. We knew you'd be coming to big mom's before you did!" The man said.
"Captain..." Renji said.
Frank began to sweat slightly.
"These aren't some bumbling idiots guarding a prison... this is the real deal..." Renji said.
Frank stepped up.
"Let us go." Frank said, "Let me kill Lin Lin and then you take me in! I swear it on my life as a pirate! And if you promise to let my crew go!" Frank said.
The man waited for a moment.
"Well, that sounds like a beautiful plan Frank, but you see the problem is, I already offered you that same alternative, aside from the murder of Lin Lin, so now, we've got to do this by force!" The man said.
Frank grimaced as the man's arms became a black rock substance and slowly formed around his arms like cannons, a sharp black arrow in each slot.
"You remember my abilities right Frank? The obsidian obsidian fruit has its uses! By creating these arrow blasters out of obsidian, and then blasting them with advanced armament..."
The man stuck out an arm and in a mighty blast of energy shot the arrow towards Franks ship at super speeds!
Frank couldn't react in time!
SPLAT!
Frank looked down with shock as Murabi had jumped in the way and been impaled. She coughed up blood as she looked back at Frank and smiled. Murabi then fell over. Renji stared with shock. Frank never looked down, his eyes became red, and his smile turned into a frown.
Renji looked over at Frank.
"Captain? Everyone get into your quarters!" Renji ordered.
Frank's fist slowly became filled with white energy until it turned red!
"Is this how you want it Frank!? Who else has to die!?" The man said.
Frank cocked his fist back, haki filled the air and shook the waters around them! After a moment Frank slammed it into the air, cracking it until reality itself broke! The shock wave split the water beneath all the marine ships sending them into the abyss below!
"No!" The man said, firing another obsidian arrow, this time lodging itself in Frank's ship! The arrow retracted launching the masked man into the air towards Frank!
Frank jumped and loaded a tremor punch, and the masked man loaded an obsidian fist! The two elites clashed and shook the waters below!
"YOU KILLED A LOT OF DECORATED MEN JUST NOW FRANK! THIS IS PERSONAL!" The man yelled over the wind.
Frank, with demonic red eyes said,
"THEN KILL ME!" Frank yelled as Renji jumped over him attempting to slash the masked man.
"I don't think so!" The man used his other hand to try and grabbed Renji with a large obsidian arm, or at least he thought he did! The man focused and saw he grabbed an after image! He looked to the left to see Renji charging an attack.
"One sword style... demon's claw!" Renji sliced the man's chest with a haki pumped attack.
"Guag!" The man coughed.
The man was now too weak to contend with Frank who loaded another tremor punch in his other hand.
"This ain't over you here!? THIS ISN'T FINISHED YET! THERE'S NO ESCAPE FOR ANY OF YOU! I WILL HUNT YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH AND THE END OF TIME!" The man yelled as Frank slammed a tremor punch into his gut!
The man was shot straight into the water, creating a giant hole that soon filled itself back up with water. Frank and Renji landed in a tree that stretched from the boat that Branch created and walked onto the deck. Murabi had passed from her injuries.
Frank walked up to her and touched her cheek.
"Let me know when we've reached Whole Cake." Frank said, slamming his captain's quarters door.
The Land of Wano
The beautiful land of Wano shone brightly as people made their way throughout their day. Different instruments could be heard from the people earning money in the streets, and a lot of talking from merchants. A man in a jean cargo outfit and turban walked comfortably through the land until he got to the Wapu Port, there he could see his target.
"Onigashima... hmph." Cyclone said with a smile as he slowly floated in the air then flew towards the island.
ELBAF
A certain Red-haired pirate relaxed on Elbaf as his crew sat around him. A man slowly approached them.
"Surely you aren't here for conversation? Psycho..." Shanks said.
Psycho smiled softly.
"Is that any way to say hello to an old friend?" Psycho retorted.
Shanks smiled.
"How about a drink?... Before the inevitable." Shanks said.
Psycho squinted.
"Sure."
Psycho approached Shanks and too the drink from him, and chugged it. Shanks did as well, as well as the rest of the crew.
"Ahhhhhh. That hit the spot." Shanks said, standing up and shooting his swords in the air.
Psycho looked up quickly then his eyes shot down and he jumped out the way, black and red lightning shot out the ground where Psycho was standing, and continued to shoot out from the ground randomly, when the attack was over, many craters were created in the ground.
"If it's a fight you want it's a fight you'll get! Tore!" Shanks said.
Psycho smiled.
"I haven't been called that since my shinobi years... since you know that name, then it is by that name you'll die." Psycho said, slowly removing his headband from his pocket and putting it on.
"Who needs a devil fruit right?" Psycho asked.
Shanks smiled.
"Ha ha ha! I agree." Shanks said.
