Chapter 98
Cyclone, still laying on his back watched with fright as Luffy's body continued to pump out white smoke. Naruto and Kraken were shocked. Boa was shocked and concerned.
"L-Luffy?..." Boa said softly.
Conqueror's lightning continued to crash around the battlefield, almost striking Cyclone, who rolled over to avoid it. Cyclone looked back at Luffy.
"This can't be... this idiot can't have awakened that fruit it's impossible!" Cyclone yelled.
"Awakening?" Naruto asked, "Hey, Kraken what is he talking about? What's going on with Luffy?"
Kraken stared with shock at Luffy.
"What's going on with Luffy is he alive?" Sasuke asked Sanji.
"I don't know, I've never seen him like this!" Sanji said.
Kakashi observed Luffy.
Luffy's body coughed up a white smoke ball and his body slowly began to rise as his clothes turned white, his hair becoming swirly and white as well. A white cloud ring wrapped around his arms and up above his head. His eyes turning pink. Luffy's big goofy smile on his face.
"What... is going on?" Luffy asked out loud, "I should be dead, right?"
Naruto watched with shock as well as Kraken.
"Wh-What... is this?" Kraken asked out loud to himself.
Cyclone became so angry veins popped in his head.
Luffy smiled big.
"I feel like... I can fight a little longer!" Luffy yelled.
BOOOOOOOOM!
Luffy released a burst of wind and conqueror's lightning. The lightning shot through the battlefield once more.
"This... is GEAR FIFTH!" Luffy yelled, beginning to bounce around and twist his body, jumping off the ground like it was one big trampoline.
Everyone stared at Luffy with shock and confusion.
"He became even goofier..." Sasuke said.
"You're telling me..." Kakashi said, with a sweat on his head.
"What happened to Luffy, Ms. Hancock?" Hinata asked.
Boa was too shocked to speak at first but swallowed and stood up.
"I think Luffy has awakened his devil fruit..." Boa said.
"Awakening?" Hinata asked.
"When a devil fruit user awakens their devil fruit power, they've become one with the devil fruit and are on complete terms with their powers, but this transformation is custom to zoan types not Luffy's paramecia..." Boa said.
Hinata held a concerned face then looked at Luffy again.
Luffy continued to bounce around, his haki crashing through the battlefield.
"He's releasing his haki so recklessly and free..." Cyclone said to himself, "Joy boy... I laughed in your face when you said you'd be back... now here you are... right in front of me, do you really think... this punk can finish what you started!?" Cyclone yelled to himself, standing up.
Kraken stared at Luffy with shock.
FLASH BACK (10 years ago in the North Blue).
"And... what do you know about Nika?" Kraken asked.
A man wearing a japanese styled straw hat, a blue kimono with black wrist guards, black pants and sandals, and a black cloak with a hood, sipped his tea.
"That... is an interesting name. How did you hear of it?" Iwataka asked.
Kraken looked down and began squeezing his cup, Iwataka took the glass from his hand so he wouldn't break it and cut his hand.
"I was... an admiral... the youngest admiral in Marine history." Kraken started, "Immediately I was to protect any and all celestial dragons with my life, as well as attend their events..." Kraken formed tears.
"Those monsters treat people like animals! Living, breathing, humans killed like they are nothing at all! You know I saw a man get shot in his head for trying to cheer up his son!?" Kraken yelled.
Iwataka continued to listen.
"All I ever heard when I approached cells with slaves... "please don't kill us! Nika have mercy!" Kraken said, "Nika, take me away from this hell! I want to go to the city of gold!"
"It was every day! No matter what they went through, no matter how hopeless it seemed, they kept calling for Nika!" Kraken yelled.
Iwataka stared at Kraken through closed eyes.
"Is he real, Iwataka? What do you know about it? What did Nika do?" Kraken asked.
Iwataka took a sip of tea.
"DEATH took over the North Blue 20 years ago. The slaves then, even they waited for Nika. They say he's a warrior of peace. A man who brings happiness and laughter wherever he goes, with the most ridiculous power in the world. His rubber body and ability to bounce around the environment... he embodies freedom itself." Iwataka explained.
"I do not know if Nika existed or not, young marine, but then again, a lot of the world doesn't know I exist either and I'm right here! Wa ha ha! The heavenly Tokisato name was erased from history for going against the government. If Nika was really going around freeing slaves like the legends say, then it's not impossible he existed, just erased from time." Iwataka said.
END OF FLASHBACK
"Luffy... did you inherit Nika's will?" Kraken asked.
Luffy stared at Cyclone with a big smile. Cyclone stared back.
"So, you've returned." Cyclone said softly.
Luffy smiled.
"That's right! I'm ready to knock you out, Circuit!" Luffy yelled.
Cyclone dashed at Luffy with light speed and got ready to cut him down.
"CYCLONE YOU IDIOT!" Cyclone yelled, attempting to cut Luffy with haki.
"AHHHHHH!" Luffy yelled, his eyes popping out of their head and slamming into Cyclone's stomach.
Cyclone coughed up blood.
"ARGH!" Cyclone groaned.
"AHHHH!" Luffy yelled, when his eyes came back, "My eyes crashed into his stomach!"
Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi all fell on their heads.
"WHAT THE HELL KIND OF ATTACK WAS THAT!" Sakura yelled.
"We just saw the same thing right?" Kakashi asked.
"I don't even know anymore..." Sasuke said, but it seems everyone is up and ready for round 2, we need to help Luffy however we can, you good to fight?"
Kakashi nodded, "Yeah."
The two shinobi looked at Sanji, who also nodded. The three ran towards the fight.
Cyclone looked up, blood on his lip, at Luffy who rubbed his eyes. Cyclone readied his sword as Sanji came flying in with an ifrit jambe kick. Cyclone blocked it with his sword.
"I thought I had knocked your head off!" Cyclone laughed, "Your father should thank me for the Vinsmoke blueprint!"
Sanji was shocked to hear this as Cyclone zipped away and flew into the air, but was grabbed by a long arm!
Sasuke had grabbed Cyclone in his complete susanno form.
"Not so fast!" Sasuke yelled, "Now, Naruto!"
Naruto zipped in front of Cyclone with a crystal rasengan.
"Got him!" Naruto yelled to himself as Cyclone looked over at Naruto with a worried expression.
Instantly, Cyclone was swapped places with Sanji, but Naruto was moving too fast to stop!
"No! What!?" Naruto yelled.
Sanji yelled out.
"NOOOOOOOOO!"
Luffy used the rubbery ground to blast himself in front of Sanji.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
"YEEEEEOOOOOOWWWW!" Luffy yelled as the rasengan twisted up his body and blasted him across the battlefield.
Sasuke looked up at the mix up then immediately turned around to see Cyclone walking through his susanno.
Sasuke was completely shocked.
"What!?" Sasuke yelled.
Cyclone walked towards Sasuke menacingly, staring at Sasuke's sharingan.
"I've grown tired of you Uchiha brats..." Cyclone said.
Sasuke tried to cut Cyclone down.
"You're a speck compared to him... but you'll do for now." Cyclone said coldly.
Cyclone slammed him with a palm strike to the chin, then proceeded to beat Sasuke up with a combo.
Further down the battlefield, Luffy's chest burned from the heat of the rasengan, Naruto had toned down the power at the last second to save Sanji, not knowing Luffy would jump in the way.
"YOOOOOWWWW! That's a powerful technique! I should use that one day!" Luffy laughed, his feet beginning to move so fast they looked like wheels as Luffy blasted back towards the battle.
Cyclone continued moving forward, punching Sasuke, forcing him backwards until they walked out of the susanno. Cyclone's body shone an emerald color as he stepped to the side and let his emerald clone continue punching Sasuke in place. Cyclone conjured a nen shotgun and aimed it. The clone kicked Sasuke up and grabbed his legs, spinning and spinning. After a moment Cyclone yelled.
"Pull!"
The clone launched Sasuke into the air, but before Cyclone could finish the attack, Luffy stuck his fingers in the barrel of his nen gun!
"What's up Doc!? HE HE HE!" Luffy yelled with a laugh. Cyclone's eyes widened.
"NO!" Cyclone yelled as the nun gun blew up and blasted himself and Luffy away from each other. Luffy was blasted into the air and Cyclone slid along the ground as Naruto turned one of his truth seekers into a hammer and tried to slam it on Cyclone's head.
Cyclone spun around into a hand stand and kicked Naruto away. Sanji jumped in with ifrit jambe activated and began to trade blows with Cyclone. Cyclone kept kicking Sanji's legs until he threw a question mark kick, forcing Sanji to leave his head open. Cyclone was aiming to kick Sanji's head off!
CRACK!
Cyclone's haki infused leg crashed into Sanji's head.
BOOOOOM!
Sanji was sent flying into Duboi's castle. Okua and Mihawk attempted to stab Cyclone from both sides.
"I've got his left!" Mihawk yelled.
"I've got the right!" Okua yelled back.
Cyclone looked at the two. Kraken yelled.
"HE'S NOT THERE!" Kraken yelled.
Okua and Mihawk were going too fast and "Stabbed" Cyclone, but it wasn't him.
Cyclone used his clock eye to show Mihawk and Okua a future where they stabbed him.
Mihawk and Okua breathed heavily as their swords pierced each other's body.
Mihawk coughed up blood.
"Big Brother!..." Okua groaned.
"It is alright... we didn't know." Mihawk groaned back.
The two fell over as blood left their bodies.
Hinata and Boa made their way over to Sakura with Usopp, Chopper, Brook, and Nagashima all passed out.
"Oh god... are they alright?" Sakura asked.
"They passed out as we were leaving the boat... Ms. Boa said something about some type of haki." Hinata said.
Sakura nodded.
"Yes, Boa told us about that too. So they're just unconscious then... set them out of sight and out of danger!" Sakura ordered.
Hinata nodded and began to move them.
"Ms. Boa..." Sakura said softly.
Boa's expression was hidden by her hair.
"Cyclone is too strong..." Sakura started to cry as her hands rested over Kasai, who had lost consciousness now.
Boa looked around the battlefield everyone who wasn't knocked out was for surely in great pain.
"We need to get every one out of here... we need to let Luffy and Naruto handle him. I can hardly keep up with Kasai's wound, if he keeps doing everyone like this... someone is going to die..." Sakura said.
Boa looked around.
"Where is Luffy?" Boa asked.
Sakura looked back to see Kraken still watching the fight, but Naruto in front of Cyclone in fighting pose.
"Come on you thousand year old mummy, I'm right here!" Naruto yelled.
Cyclone smirked and gripped is sword when the battlefield became covered in shadow.
Everyone looked up.
"What happened?" Sakura asked, "Is this an attack?"
Cyclone looked up at the sky with confusion.
BOOOM!
Lightning crashed and Luffy's small shadow could be seen.
BOOOOM!
The shadow got bigger.
BOOOOOOOOM!
The shadow got even bigger!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A giant Luffy burst out of the clouds with a big goofy smile.
"GUM GUM...GIANT!" Luffy yelled.
Naruto, Boa, Hinata, or Sakura could believe what they were seeing.
"WOAH! IS THAT LUFFY!?" Naruto yelled.
Luffy came down attempting to step on Cyclone!
BOOOOOM!
Conqueror's lightning exploded from Luffy's foot, but Luffy didn't feel like he hit Cyclone.
"What's happening!? I didn't smush him like a bug!?" Luffy asked.
Underneath Luffy's foot, Cyclone's eyes became completely black with purple sclera. Cyclone had caught Luffy's giant foot and forced Luffy's foot off him.
Luffy stumbled back. Cyclone zipped in front of Luffy to punch him in the face, but Luffy opened his mouth and attempted to eat Cyclone! Cyclone dodged and Naruto slammed into his back with a rasengan!
"AHHHHHH!" Cyclone yelled, being blasted to the battlefield at light speed.
BOOOOOOOM!
Cyclone got up and held his head as the dust cleared. Luffy was already dashing towards Cyclone as well as Naruto. Cyclone stared at the two. A light flashed and Cyclone could see Hagoromo and Joy Boy charging him. Cyclone smiled sinsterly and began performing hand signs with one hand.
"Of course this guy can do one handed hand seals!" Naruto groaned as he continued dashing towards Cyclone.
"FETCHING JOLT!" Cyclone yelled as lightning crashed down onto his sword.
"What the hell kind of jutsu is that!? Luffy get out of the way!" Naruto yelled, zipping away.
"Hm?" Luffy asked.
Cyclone swung and sent a massive blast of lightning at Luffy..
"AHHHHHH!" Luffy yelled, his eyes popping out of his head. Luffy reached out and caught the lightning, spun around and sent it back at Cyclone!
"Huh!?" Cyclone let out, lifting his sword to block.
ZZZZZ ZZZZZ BOOOOOOOOM!
Cyclone was sent flying into Duboi's castle in a electrical blast! Luffy was having the time of his life.
"HA HAAAA HAAA HAAA HAAA HAAA This is the most fun I've ever had!" Luffy yelled.
Cyclone emerged from the rubble looking for Luffy and Naruto, but he noticed Okua and Mihawk were gone. As well as Akainu, Lionel, and Jimbei!.
"Where did they all go!?" Cyclone asked as Luffy zipped in front of him.
"Not so fast, Corporate!" Luffy yelled, using muscle muscle and making his left arm buff!
"I'VE HAD IT WITH YOU!" Cyclone yelled, blasting a massive beam of haki out of his mouth at Luffy! Luffy dodged but began to spin uncontrollably! Cyclone was confused, then, before Cyclone could react, Luffy unleashed a massive punch at Cyclone's head! Causing Cyclone to see stars. The punch also appeared to go through Cyclone's head since Luffy made Cyclone's body rubber.
"Gum Gum..." Luffy started, "WHITE STAR GUN!"
BOINGGGG!
Cyclone was sent BLASTING back into Duboi's castle.
BOOOOOOM!
Naruto smiled big.
"YEAHHH! LUFFY!" Naruto cheered.
Luffy clasped his hands together and shook his fists, until inside the cloud of smoke, Cyclone's eyes were completely black and his pupils neon green. Everything in reality became black.
"Fall." Cyclone said.
Instantly, Luffy's body dropped to his knees and fell over, he couldn't stand if he wanted to. Cyclone chuckled as he walked towards Luffy.
Luffy looked over at Naruto, who had also passed out. Naruto's body faded away.
"You are alone, Luffy." Cyclone said.
Luffy looked at Cyclone for a moment and saw a demon. A skeleton with horns and a black "M" on his forehead. Luffy passed back out.
"There is only darkness for you, and death for your friends." Cyclone said coldly, "All your past lives were just the beginning."
Luffy stood up and put up his hands as if he was boxing, but fell over again.
"I am demon king Muranaka. The commander of the great and terrible army, we traveled to one billion worlds." Cyclone said.
Luffy rolled over and tried to crawl away.
"We sailed until every light was extinguished." Cyclone continued, "You are strong, child... but I am beyond strength." Cyclone said, making it to Luffy.
Luffy reached out towards the darkness, but his powers were useless here.
"I am not Cyclone, I am not Muranaka... I am... the end, and for the last 800 years you've gotten in my way, but not only you. Hagoromo as well, and others who were martyred along the way. Every last one of you has come back... as these fools? Why? What do you see in them?" Cyclone unsheathed his sword and raised it, until he could see a feint white light.
Cyclone couldn't believe it.
"No... Impossible!" Cyclone yelled.
In the distance a small black spot could be seen.
FLASHBACK
"Seinaru?" A young Okua asked.
"It means "Holy!" That blade of yours has the ability to deflect all evil! Legends say it even has anti magical properties!" Iwataka said happily, "Besides no one wants a blade that brings fear to people. The blade is used to protect."
"Anti-magic? Deflect all evil? Can a sword really do all that?" Okua asked.
Iwataka put his hand on Okua's shoulder.
"Of course it can! If you're willing to become stronger!" Iwataka smiled.
END OF FLASHBACK
"LET'S GO, SEINARU!" Okua yelled, cocking back his long black sword.
Cyclone couldn't believe it.
"He was just gone a second ago, now here he is!? What happened!?" Cyclone yelled.
"CHAOTIC EVIL! GO BACK TO THE HELL YOU CAME FROM!" Okua yelled, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
The pitch black became a complete bright white!
"Huh!? NO!" Cyclone yelled, "It's that sword! It can cancel out magic!?"
"GO AWAYYYYYYY!" Okua yelled, cutting through the white room and slowly revealing reality again.
A heavy black, red, and purple haki slash crashed into Cyclone's body. Naruto and Luffy were unconcious.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Cyclone yelled, coughing up a heavy amount of blood!
Okua's arms dropped, both broken.
"My... arms!" Okua said, falling over.
Kraken's eyes shot open to see the carnage. He had blacked out. Okua was out cold, as well as Naruto and Luffy. Cyclone lay with his arms and legs outstretched and his mouth wide open, his eyes rolled into the back of his head and a large gash across his body. After a moment, Luffy and Naruto slowly got to their feet.
"What happened?" Naruto asked.
"I don't know...!" Luffy said.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Sakura yelled at the top of her lungs, crying over Kasai's chest.
Kraken slowly looked over at Kasai. Sakura cried on his chest as blood came from his mouth. A tear falling from Kasai's face. Sakura shot her head up.
"KASAI DIDN'T MAKE IT!" Sakura yelled.
Everything stopped. Kraken stared with no emotion. Luffy and Naruto couldn't believe it. Fujitora slammed his sword into the ground and held back tears.
"Kasai..." Fujitora said with sadness and anger.
Hinata covered her mouth and Boa was too shocked to react. Kakashi, Sanji, Franky, Brook, Chopper, and Usopp were all unconcious. Sasuke had just made it back to the battlefield, limping, when he heard. Sasuke clenched his sword so hard he could almost break it.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
An explosion of energy got everyone's attention. Out of the smoke, Cyclone walked, heavily damaged.
"What an annoying bunch you've turned out to be..." Cyclone said.
"He... just keeps getting up!" Naruto said, his crystal form fading away.
"We'll beat him! Activate that form again!" Luffy said, as he slowly turned grey and old.
"Ughhhh... whew... I'm pooped!" Luffy said soflty.
Cyclone continued walking towards them.
"Unlike me, your powers have a limit. That's why you'll never win." Cyclone said, grabbing his sword, "How does it feel to know your new power solves nothing? You will never be able to defeat me." Cyclone swung the killing blow.
ROARRRRRRRR!
Cyclone was stopped in his tracks as he could feel a monster was coming right at him!
Cyclone turned to see Kraken was charging straight for him, faster than he could react to!
Kraken's shades fell off and he looked up with fire in his eyes.
"KRAKEN!?" Cyclone yelled.
"In the Grand Line they call it haki, in Wano they call it Ryo... focus your haki into one point and release it all at once! Did I ever tell you why the Government hated the Shinobi? Because!..."
Iwataka's voice faded away as Kraken got ready to punch Cyclone.
"RRRRRAAHHHHHHHHH!" Kraken yelled, shaking the island!
Cyclone conjured his nen clone and smirked.
"Bring it on!" Cyclone yelled.
Japanese kanji flashed in the air.
"AVENGE FIST!" Kraken yelled, slamming his fist into the clone Cyclone's body. The clone held up for a moment before it started to crack!
"NO! THERE IS NO WAY!" Cyclone said, completely shocked.
CRASSHHHHHH!
Kraken's fist broke through the clone and slammed into Cyclone's body. Cyclone coughed up a massive amount of blood.
"ARGGGGGGHHH!" Cyclone yelled.
"GRRRRRRRR RRRRAHHHHHHHH!" Kraken yelled as black lightning and wind crashed around him.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
Cyclone was sent flying towards Duboi's castle doors, but he was pulled back by... a tentacle!
Cracken used a massive tentacle arm to grab Cyclone and slam him into the ground with a heavy slam! Cyclone was almost knocked unconscious. Kraken retracted his tentacle arm.
Cyclone stood up slowly and looked at Kraken with surprise. Kraken's tears fell from his eyes. Cyclone looked over at Kasai and saw him smiling.
"No... no no no no... it doesn't work that way! THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS!" Cyclone yelled.
"I've seen enough! It's time to finish what we started 12 years ago, right here, right now!" Kraken yelled, thinking of a young Kasai and himself.
KASAI TSUYOMI, HAS PASSED AWAY...!
