Erik blossoms. But really. He is head over heels infatuated with his children. You will definitely notice that in this chapter. But his children adore him as much as he adores them. Then I wish you a lot of joy with this again fluffy family chapter.

Greetings Petit Erik

Louise POV

Over the next few weeks and months, Erik literally blossomed. He took such touching and loving care of his children that sometimes I didn't know what to do. But I didn't mind much. When our children whined for us or other things, he would drop everything he was doing and immediately run to them. When I nursed one of them, he would lovingly hold the other. Often he would sit with them at his piano and he would play to them. And his children would sit with him and watch him excitedly. My Erik could not be prouder of his children. When they were six months old, they did something Erik and I would always remember. They giggled.

It happened when we were sitting at the piano with them. Erik was holding Jere and I was holding Josy in my arms when it happened. Jere suddenly giggled and at the sound of her brother Josy started laughing too. My husband and I looked at each other and started laughing as well. Erik picked up his son and kissed him on the cheek. I did the same to Josy and together we went into the living room. I turned briefly into the bathroom and gave Erik Josy's arms a hug. He smiled, held her tightly and walked with them into the living room. After I came back out of the bathroom, I saw the sweetest sight. Erik was sitting on the sofa with his children, the two of them snuggled in his arms, sleeping happily. Erik's head was on the back of the sofa and his kids were snuggled up to him. Slowly, I walked over to them and sat down next to him.

"Lou?" he murmured, opening one eye to look at me.

"Shh," I whispered, "go back to sleep."

He smiled at me, kissed me languidly, and closed his eyes again. I took Jere from his arms, who snuggled against me, and snuggled into my husband's arms. Blissfully, I closed my eyes as well.

Erik POV

Oh, my sweet angels! For the first time I heard them giggling. It was one of the most beautiful things of my life. I was sitting at the piano with my little family and suddenly I heard my son giggling. And when my Josy heard this from her brother, she started giggling too. Lou and I were so enchanted by this sound that we couldn't help but laugh too. Our children heard this and joined in the laughter as well. When Louise had to go to the bathroom, I took Josy from her and walked into the living room with my kids in my arms and we sat down on the couch. And before I knew it, I was asleep. I heard in the background Lou come back into the living room and sit down next to me. I opened one eye and looked at her.

"Lou?", I mumbled, looking at her.

"Shh," she whispered, pressing her finger to my distorted lips, "go back to sleep."

I smiled at her, kissed her languidly, and closed my eyes again as Lou snuggled against me. When I woke up again, about 2 hours had passed. I sat up and saw Josy looking at me. When she saw me looking at her, she smiled a toothless grin. I smiled happily at her as well and pressed a kiss to her forehead. She continued to coo and smile as I grinned happily. As I looked to my wife, I noticed that Jere also had his eyes open. I looked at him and when he noticed that I was looking at him, he smiled at me too. It felt so good to show my face to my children without them being afraid of it. To try something out, I put my hand on the disfigured side of my face, covering it. And I saw Josy scrunch up her face to start crying. The same thing happened with Jere. I took my hand off my face and immediately they both smiled again. I noticed my eyes getting moist and kissed my daughter on the forehead.

Louise woke up from her nap, yawned and looked at me. She smiled at me and kissed me softly on the lips. Jere cooed in her arms and she kissed him gently on the forehead. We got up and went to our library. I sat my daughter on my lap and Lou grabbed a storybook and sat with us. Then she sat Jere on her lap and started reading to us. Josy snuggled up to me and listened as did her brother and me. Soon she was asleep and you could hear her soft breaths. Jere had also snuggled into his mother's arms and was blissfully asleep. Carefully, we lifted the two of them and carried them to their rooms to rest. I put Josy in her crib and looked at my daughter and son. It was still incredible how lucky I could be.

Louise POV

It was a wonderful day today. It was our wedding anniversary and Erik's birthday at the same time. I got up early while he was still asleep and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I put everything on a tray and then returned to the bedroom. I gently placed the tray on the bedside table and kissed my husband on the cheek to wake him. He grumbled, fluttered his eyelashes and opened his eyes. He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and gently stroked his cheek and he purred.

"Happy anniversary and birthday, angel," I said and kissed him.

He hummed and returned it.

"Thank you, dearest. And of course, happy anniversary to you too."

I kissed him lovingly and together we enjoyed our breakfast. When we were done, Erik got up and walked towards the nursery. He headed for the bed where Jere was lying and looked at him. His son smiled and Erik grinned.

"Hello, little one," he cooed at him and gently lifted him out of his cot.

Jere cooed and put his little hands on his father's face. He giggled and Erik kissed him on the cheek. Together we went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for the little ones. Erik watched them and while I was preparing the food, I suddenly heard something. It sounded like a very soft "Dada".

And when I heard Erik gasp, I know I wasn't mistaken. Slowly I walked out of the kitchen into the living room and see him sitting with his children on his lap.

He looked at Jere and whispers: "Please, say it again. Let me hear it one more time."

Jere said it again: "Dada."

I saw Erik smile and tears run down his cheeks.

"Oh, my son. My little angel," he sobbed and kissed him on the cheek.

Apparently Josy didn't like being ignored, because loudly she raised a protest.

"Dada!"

Erik's eyes widened and he looked at his daughter. Then he broke into a huge smile.

"Oh, my little angels!"

He lifted Josy into his arms too and pressed a kiss to her cheek as well. She snuggled up and held on tight.

"I love you both so much," Erik murmured and when he saw me, he added: "And your mommy too."

I smiled, joined them and pressed a kiss to Erik's lips.

"The perfect anniversary and birthday present."

Erik smiled back and replied: "Indeed."

Erik POV

If someone had told me that I would become a father one day and someone would call me Papa, I wouldn't have believed them. But now that I was being called that for the first time, I could imagine it. It was the most wonderful feeling ever. I took my children in my arms and they snuggled up to me. My wife came up to me and kissed me gently on the lips. I smiled and carried our little ones into the kitchen. We both fed with happy faces and our children squealed happily. When we were both done, we took off their bibs and went into the living room.

Josy wiggled in my arms and I sat her on the floor and she started playing with different things. Her brother followed her and Lou and I watched them both happily. Louise snuggled up to me and sighed happily. I looked at her and kissed her on the head. She purred just as I always did when she kissed me. We were a little inattentive and didn't notice our children crawling towards us. When we looked down, we saw that they had sat up. I had never seen such a sweet sight.

Our children were holding onto the backs of the sofa and looking at us with their big googly eyes. I smiled happily and my son looked at me with bright eyes that were the same colour as my own. He smiled and I sat down on the blanket with him. He looked at me and tried to sit up without help. He didn't quite manage it and I held him. Then he tried again with my help and it worked. He squealed with delight and I laughed. Josy did the same with her mother. I held Jere's hands tightly and he began to lift his little feet. My eyes widened and I watched my son take his first steps. My heart pounded with pride in my chest.

After a few steps, he had to rest. I thought he was going to stop, but the opposite was true. He held on to me and kept running. I was so proud of him. Suddenly I heard a high-pitched giggle coming from my wife's direction. I turned around and saw that Josy was also running on my wife's hands. We were so proud of the two of them. When the two siblings looked at each other, they were grinning happily. They made a motion that they wanted to crawl again, so Louise and I sat them on the blanket. The siblings crawled towards each other and then the sweetest thing I saw happened. Josy and Jere hugged each other.

"Oh, they are so cute," Louise squealed in my ear.

I smiled happily at my two little angels.

"They are," I confirmed.

I enjoyed the moment with my little family. It couldn't be more perfect.

Or so I thought. As soon as our children could walk better and better, they followed us everywhere. They followed me into the music room, Lou into the kitchen or into our bedroom. Sometimes they would come in early and tug at my blanket until I woke up. It also happened that then the blanket was on the floor because they had pulled so hard on it. Then they both stretched out their little arms to me and I lifted them into our bed. My wife's eyes opened slightly and she smiled at us. Then Jere crawled into her arms while Josy snuggled into mine. Then we fell back asleep peacefully. Only I wonder how long this peaceful was. I just remember waking up in the morning to loud giggling. I saw Louise looking at me.

"Did you hear that too?" she asked me.

"Yes. Only where did it come from?"

Then we heard it again. It was coming from our bed. Or better yet, from under it. Lou and I bent down over both sides of the bed and looked under it. I know I shouldn't but I immediately had to grin. There were our two little angels, looking at me. The look on their faces was that of the purest joy and innocence. I grinned at my son and he grinned back. Then he scrambled toward me, too.

"Dada," he said in his sweet voice.

I climbed down out of bed and lay down in front of the bed so I could get a good look at him.

"Dada," he called out again.

"Come on," I said, opening my arms so he could crawl right up to me.

My son smiled brightly and continued to crawl toward me until he was in my arms.

He snuggled up to me and said: "Love, Dada."

I noticed my eyes getting moist.

"I love you too, my Jere," I whispered and kissed the top of his head.

My son cooed and looked at me. He looked so much like me. Except he was beautiful and I wasn't. But I knew my Lou saw it differently. And I was so very grateful to her for that. My son continued to hold on to me tightly and together with his mother and sister we went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. And as Jere looked at me and smiled, and my wife and daughter did the same, I continued to marvel at what a wonderful family I had.
