POV: Kai
They were sneaking past the guards, trying to find a way to get a portal up and running. They had decided it was better to head to the monastery instead of wandering so that they could help the other ninja.
They had finally found a place, and walked through the portal. They appeared in the secret underground base beneath the monastery, behind some boxes.
They peeked from behind to see what was happening.
Jay was facing the girl who was supposed to be impersonating him. She was giving Jay a sad face. He was saying something about an explosion, and then Kai saw the expression on Lloyds face. Complete horror. Kai looked to where he was, and saw Cole, lying on the floor behind Jay. He was unconscious, and Kai could see a pool of blood next to him, near his legs.
"Why, I'm gonna KILL Jay…" He whispered and hissed.
But he continued to watch as more things were said, and almost jumped out of cover when Jay stole the ninja's powers.
But then Jay stepped through the portal, along with two other agents.
Then it started. The explosion. Kai quickly blocked the fire from hitting him and Lloyd, they ran into cover, while Kai ran over to his friend and grabbed them, saving them from the flames. Brought them to safety, and ran back for the girl.
Brought her to safety, and then he ran back out to stop the fire. He started to do Spinjitzu, and absorbed the fire, and his Spinjitzu became ginormous.
He then released that energy and fire.
The room was clear of fire, but it was all burnt and scorched.
He suddenly felt very tired.
He then let himself fall into darkness, hearing Lloyd and Nya's distant calls of his name.

Some time in the past.
HSSSSSSSSS
What is it?
Don't let him go.

He is the key.

If you lose him, you lose everything.
He knows what will happen if he leaves.
True… true… But he may want to leave if he… finds out the truth.
Even if it takes his life? I'm not worried
