Part 3: Chromatic Grass

February 28, 2024...

Dear Journal,

Me again. Its-been two-three weeks since that day. We're all, getting better. Not one hundred percent, know i went in paralysis mode the day after Arrow-Head came back. But, slowly the situation is getting solved. The two who started this are being charged under the adult charges, the number being investigated going up to four. The team has been constantly checking and visiting the HOK for Arrow-Head, never had so many visitors from a team here.

Arrow-Head-it's going to be a while. He's gotten over his fever thank goodness but, he's been having nightmares of that day. It replays in his mind over and over and thank the shards of the core Chief and Pillage have been next to him at night. The team visit's have been helpful too, been very supportive on his recovery. Clark said he was going to visit with some good news today, so I'm wondering what it is too.

On the topic of Pillage, he's still shaken up bad. Never leaves Arrow-Head side or keeps him out of his sight. We don't blame him, he went though a situation like this back in 2017 when he was checking out locations for the stadium. I, heard him thanking someone for protecting Arrow-Head and the team, as well as preventing the numbers climbing. Mark and the Raiders have been checking on him, even Madden's family has been on the call. I hope he gets better with Arrow-Head soon.

And then there's Cheif-SO MUCH HAS CHANGE SINCE JOSH AND HIS TEAM TOOK OVER. I never seen him so calm in a situation, not since the early 90s. Ron Rivera was let go, but he took it pretty well. In fact when I met up with him he told me "I know Chief is going to be safe now. If it was those previous ones I would have fought to stay; but i can say, he's in good hands now. Hope to see you soon".

Where ever he goes, always wish him the best of luck.

Back to Chief, he's been so calm and his attacks are decreasing so much. Heard that the team kept him calm during the whole situation and he was able to head over to get Arrow-Head back here faster than expected. And he's been a huge help! He's been helping Arrow-Head and even Pillage recover; he helped calmed down Arrow's fever, been talking to Pillage, even been doing rounds around Kansas City for Arrow-Head!

We're all so happy that he has been doing well, Arrow-head been smiling a bit seeing his Little Brother so calm and content.

Well, I gotta head back out to the HOK, Combine week so I gotta look at the prospects. So until next time-

Kansas City; Arrow-head stadium...

Clark Hunt: AND I DO NOT BLAME YOU FOR SCORING US THAT F BUDDY.

Clark was in his office on the phone, pacing back and forth.

Clark Hunt: Look just because we won the Superbowl back to back does not mean it is brownie points for this report, I already confirm the deal and we start in 2027-YES 2027, we got a world cup coming here in 2026 and we won't be done by then. Last thing i want is to in-convince, as Arrow-Head and the Rusherz call it, "our brothers in football", ya know soccer.

He stopped a t picture frame on his desk, picking it up. It had his late parents, him and his siblings, and Arrow-Head smiling. Clark made a small, yet sad one looking at it.

Clark Hunt: Yeah, I'm still here. Just-thinking about my folks and Arrow-Head. I'm really hoping this can cheer him up a little, really hope he likes this.

Indianapolis Indiana; Lucas Oil Stadium, Combine...

Andy sighed as he watched the prospects, a small smile on his face. He was glad to get his thoughts out in the open on what had happen at the parade, and he still felt pride on how his boys on the team have been handling the situation.

?: Excuse me, Coach Reid.

Andy turned to see Stallion walking over with a clipboard.

Andy Reid: Please just call me Andy, of Coach Andy if it makes you comfortable.

Stallion: *small smile* Okay Andy, well-you got a an interview in a few minutes so I was ask to escort you.

Andy Reid: *Smile grows* Alright, lead the way.

With that Stallion and Andy walked to where the interview was.

Andy Reid: *concern* How are you all doing?

Stallion: We're, all doing good. Still shaken, some still tick, but we're all recovering okay...Um, thanks.

Andy Reid: *surprise* For, what?

Stallion: For checking on Arrow-Head alot. I know you guys are still recovering too so, you visiting Arrow-Head during your free time has been a huge help in his recovery.

Andy Reid gave a small nod, his smile still there but it was small again.

Andy Reid: We're just happy to help him, and that the situation did not increase. Still wish it never happened but, like that analyst said "we can't ban idiots".

Stallion: REALLY wish we could at least give them a good slap of reality, like an actual slap but-

That got the coach chuckling as he nodded.

Andy Reid: Very true.

Stallion: Yeah, hope when Gil comes he can-

Stallion stopped at that, Andy stopping seeing the Colt's Rusher smile fall in realization.

Stallion: O-Oh yeah-he's, with Tex and Tom.

Andy went down patting his back.

Andy Reid: You going to be okay?

Stallion: *tiny smile* Yeah, He was here a long time so It's mostly reminding myself. Besides, he left a large mark here so It doesn't hurt as much.

Andy gave a small nod and a small smile as he got back up.

Andy Reid: Okay, just let us know if you need anything okay?

Stallion: *smile grows a bit* Yeah, thanks Andy.

With that the two headed towards the interview.

Later, HOK...

Chief sat between Arrow-Head and Pillage was they watched the Combine.

Chief: *To Arrow-Head* Andy had a wonderful interview with the press Arrow.

Arrow-Head: *bit quiet* Y-Yeah, that was a wonderful speech. I-I got alot of great guys on the team.

Pillage nodded in response. Chief, still seeing them tense, brought them in smiling.

Chief: So, you think your teams will face eachother in the playoffs with these new stars.

That got them smiling a bit more.

Arrow-Head: Give me a clear idea on what is going to happen this season and we should be good, i swear I had no idea where we were going after the first game last season.

Pillage: I'm excited to see what Antonio will bring to the table as our new head coach, well, as our new head coach for the whole season. REALLY wanna end our drought in our division Arrow.

Arrow-Head chuckled as he made a competitive look.

Arrow-head: Just give me so good games and pray we meet in the divisional playoffs, and MAKE IT A BATTLE OF THE AGES.

Both fist pumped with smirks on.

Pillage: Oh we will, hoping we will. *to Chief* I bet your excited to see how the off season is going to go for you, leading to the 2024 season.

Chief smile grew, happy to see he got rid of the tesnity.

Chief: Well, we got Dan Quinn as our Head coach, and he had helped Freefall and his team win the Super Bowl. We also got Kliff Kingsburry as a offense coach, and Joe Whitt Jr. as our defensive coach. Three guys who got great resumes, Magic told me their going to be huge help rebuilding the team for the next season.

Arrow-Head: Oh yeah, Kliff! He's got skills and knowledge both as a player and coach, nice. Didn't you get a new General Manger? *Chief nodded* Mind tell me who it is again?

Chief: Adam Peters.

...Both their mouths were wide open at the name as Chief smiled on

Pillage: *shock* ADAM, PETERS. THAT, ADAM PETERS. The one who is a 49ers fan, the top player evaluator of the NFL, and who evaluated the top of the tops like Chris Harris Jr. Fred Warner AND BROCK PRUDY?

Chief: Yep!

...

Arrow-Head: *shock* Okay I get that Josh and the team wanted to revitalized the team this season but DANG! WHAT A GRAB!

Pillage: *shock* That's the guy who promoted the Bronco's with their win in Super Bowl FIFTY! HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET HIM?

Chief: That's a story for another day my dear brother and friend.

Both slumped on the couch, speechless as Clark walked in.

Clark Hunt: *surprise* You boys alright? You look, shock.

Chief: Just giving them an update along with them.

Arrow-Head blinked shaking his head.

Arrow-Head: Sorry Clark, bro gave me a huge news dropped. How was the meeting?

Clark walked over and sat with the three Rusherz.

Clark Hunt: WELL..Got the report on my first year and stadium; -wincing-yeah going to be honest expect the results.

Pillage: Not good?

Clark Hunt: F-.

All three cringed at the rate.

Chief: Ohhh. That's bad.

Clark Hunt: Yeah, Super Bowl win does not give your extra points. I still got alot to learn given I'm the owner now, can see that being the reason. As for the stadium, *smiles* good news that came just in time cause we got plans!

Clark laid down the papers, showing all the updates and schematics of the stadium. Arrow-Head lifted on up as did Pillage and Chief, their smiles growing at this.

Arrow-Head: We got the okay on the renovations?

Clark Hunt: *joy* YES! Yes! Oh Pillage let me tell you, Al's magic is still at play. That stadium of yours was an inspiration! Our family with 3 million and the cost for this 8 million, this will be worth it. So much more seating, space for tailgating, more restaurants and bars, the whole shabang! We'll be able to upgrade everything including the locker rooms!-No retractable roof of course.

Clark looked at his team's Rusher, his eyes sparked seeing the plans and seeing that and the smile warmed his heart.

Arrow-Head: Clark, these plans are amazing. I -I mean, ribbon boards, the viso board at each end, quadruple sized existing suits.

Pillage That 360 degree upper concourse will be a huge help with fan flows on game day too...*smirks* and i see where some of my team's designs are at play with the clubs spaces at the end zones.

Clark chuckled nodding.

Clark Hunt: Oh yeah, Mark Donovan found a way to do so from our visits to your team on gamedays. Needless to say the Raiders have created ANOTHER trend.

Pillage blushed a bit, but smiled as they looked on.

Chief: Oh oh! Your changing the outside too! *shows paper to Arrow-Head* Here's where the tailgating plaza will be, said it will be used for year round events as well!

Arrow-Head: Wow Clark, you and the team outdone yourself.

Clark Hunt: *nervous chuckle* WELL, more like I over done it too much. Was planning on hotels, restaurants entertainment options; but-had to be brought down to reality giving the financial cons it has. Donovan wasn't harsh, but he was honest with not developing that location. I want to maintain our stadiums history and mystique for my parents, BUT i need to also keep it around the stadium.

Pillage: Yeesh kid your trying to build a miniature city?

Clark, Pillage and Chief laughed at that-

-then they heard another voice laughing. Clark eyes turned to see Arrow-Head was LAUGHING. None of them had heard him laugh in weeks, so to see him laugh and loving the renovations, seeing him Smile...Oh yeah he was glad the reports came in.

...

Arrow-Head was smiling in joy seeing these plans. Good news, VERY GOOD NEWS. As much as the pain still hurt, the fact his team and his friends were making him smile again, making him laugh again, even if it was still slow healing...He was so happy he had them.

Arrow-Head thoughts: Lamar, Norma...you seeing this. Everyone is working hard to keep the city spirits up, to keep our spirits up. I hope you keep watching over us with the others.

Chief turned to Arrow-Head as he was lost in thought, a smile on his face seeing his brother was smiling more and more.

IT WAS A START.
