Wolfie: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh or anything related to that, I just own Yuki and the changes to the plot that I make in order to incorporate her so please do not steal her. Real quick this is Rivalshipping but it is Seto x oc and this is an AU where Yugi is 8 and has an older sister who solves the Millennium Puzzle instead of him. This is also rated M because there will be cursing, violence, and more detail to some of the more dark situations that happened in yu-Gi-Oh. Lastly before I start anything you may have noticed that this chapter looks different than it had before (if you are rereading this chapter I mean). That is because I have completely rewritten it, I promise the dialogue is the same but i've rewritten the details and paragraphs. I did this because some parts of the paragraphs didn't make sense and were confusing to read. Now please read, review, and I hope you like this book so far.

Chapter 1: Heart of the Cards: Part 1

Long ago when the pyramids were still young, Egyptian Pharaohs played a game of great and terrible power. But these Shadow Games erupted into a war that threatened to destroy the entire world. Until a brave Pharaoh locked the magic away, imprisoning it within the mystical Millennium Items. Now, 5,000 years later, a girl named Yuki unlocks the secrets of the Millennium Puzzle. She is infused with ancient magical energies. For destiny has chosen her to defend the world from the return of the Shadow Games just as the brave Pharaoh did 5,000 years ago.

Yuki Muto, a second year student at Domino High School, brushed part of her golden blonde lightning bolt shaped bangs out of her eyes. Those heterochromic orbs that held so much innocence yet mischief at the same time stared down at the five cards in her hand. A few strategies forming in her head as she waited for for her opponent to finally make a move since he's spent the past five minutes just trying to choose a card. Looking up from her cards she looked across the table to her opponent: her friend Joey Wheeler. Who's also a second year student at Domino High School and currently looked about ready to pop a blood vessel whilst looking at the five cards in his hand. He was deep in thought and was trying extremely hard to make up his mind about what move he was going to make in their duel. Meanwhile a small crowd had formed around the two teens consisting of their fellow classmates who wanted to watch the duel. This crowd included their friend Tea Gardener who was also a second year student and then later on their friend Tristan Taylor. The latter having been off doing something else before he came to watch the duel, so he actually missed most of the duel.

Now despite the fact that Yuki knows all too well that making a decision about a move in a duel was a make or break moment. Especially for a Duel Monsters beginner like him. However in a real duel a real opponent would never be nice enough to let him take his time with making a decision. What they would do though is tell him that he'll forfeit the duel if he takes that long to make a move, let alone a decision about one. Joey's just lucky that Yuki's not in any kind of rush to finish their duel, well, actually that would be a lie. She is actually sort of in a rush to finish this duel because it is the end of the school day for them. Once school is over she has to pack up her things quickly before hightailing it to the elementary school to pick up her little brother. Then she has to get them both back home in time to help her Grandpa close up the Game Shop for the night. With that thought in mind Yuki glanced up at the clock on the wall before letting out a quiet sigh of relief. There was still 15 minutes till the final bell for the day which gave her plenty of time to finish the duel without needing to rush. Then she can collect her things, go to her locker, and pack away the things she doesn't need to bring home.

Then get to the elementary school without making her brother wait too long for her. That is if Joey ever decides to stop overthinking things and finally make his move before he pops a blood vessel or four. Yuki swore she could see the veins popping out of his forehead the more he stares down at his cards. Most likely he was second guessing every possible move that his brain was coming up with that he could make. A few of the people who gathered around to watch soon walked away out of boredom, realizing that Joey was going to take forever with his next move. And soon Yuki was tempted to put her cards down in order to read a book she brought to class today. That way she could at least pass some time till he finally does make a move instead of just sitting there staring at him. Instead though she couldn't help but look down at the gold upside down pyramid puzzle that hung from her neck by a leather strap. The pyramid, despite being made of gold and larger than a kitten, was actually a bearable weight as it rested against her stomach and glistened in the sunlight.

The Millennium Puzzle was what its called, and sometimes it was hard to believe that a year ago before she solved it none of her friends had been her friends then. Joey had been her bully, Tristan had been the class president and had helped Joey bully her. Whilst Tea had just been the girl that only rarely talked to her, and that's usually only when she had to. Yuki had been the outcast of the school, other's called her the freak of the school. She too small and shy to try and make her own friends and would've rather played games and eat lunch alone than mingle with her classmates. Especially when she knew they would most likely reject any attempts at friendship she might have made. In the end Yuki got her wish though, she wished for friends and has not one but three friends that care about her. Now the happiest she's been in years and is much more outgoing than she has ever been a day in her life. Though she chalked that up to her friends personalities rubbing off on her as well as the personality of her hyper-active, over excitable little brother Yugi.

"Joey, earth to Joey. Hey are you in there man? It's your turn." Yuki said with a small smile, hoping her friend hadn't forgotten that it was his turn.

"Aw! Isn't he cute when he's thinking?" Tristan asked as he put Joey in a friendly headlock, nearly making the blonde drop his cards.

"Hey Tristan, Yuki here's teaching me how to play Duel Monsters." Joey said with a smile as he showed Tristan the cards in hand.

"Drooling Monsters?" Tristan asked as he looked at the cards in confusion, his arm now just resting around Joey's shoulder.

"Duel Monsters ya dumbass!" Joey said as he pushed Tristan away by his face, said male coming to stand next to Tea without making another comment.

"They've been at it for hours, Joey's starting to get the hang of the game but yuki's like an expert." Tea explained as she basically caught Tristan up on what has been happening whilst he was gone from the room.

"Okay, Yuki. It's time to duel." Joey said as she finally made a move by placing down one of his monster cards. The monster being a two star monster that was a human-looking man kneeling on the ground, sword and spear in hand and only 800 attack and 400 defense points.

"See, each card has an attack number and a defense number. First player to eliminate their opponent's life points wins the duel." Tea said, deciding to tell Tristan everything she has learned about the game so he doesn't get confused about anything.

"Pretty good move, huh Yuki?" Joey asked with a smug look on his face, clearly thinking that this move has won the duel for him.

"Yup, pretty good move, but sadly not good enough." Yuki said with a sweet smile as she placed down the card she had chosen to play. The picture depicting a little blonde girl in a pastry themed dress, pastries floating around her, and had both an attack and defense of 1,400.

"What?! Thank's alot! A card like that totally wipes me out." Joey said as he was now hunched over the table in order to get a closer look at the fairy card that totally wiped him out.

"Man you suck at this game Joey." Tristan said, not even trying to console Joey despite the fact that he had just been so easily defeated by Yuki.

"No you did fine Joey." Yuki reassured as she was already cleaning up her cards and putting them away. "I just so happen to have better cards. See my Grandpa owns a game shop so I get all my best cards from him." She explained as she took a moment to look at her fairy card fondly before putting it away too, she loves fairy cards just as much as she loves spell caster cards.

"Your own game shop?! What are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Joey exclaimed as he stood up, now extremely excited about the idea of going to a game shop and getting better cards for his deck.

"Sure, but first I need to pick up Yugi from the elementary school before we head to the shop. Then when we're there maybe I can get Grandpa to show us his super rare card." Yuki said, happy that she was finally getting to show her friends the Game Shop after all of this time of them being friends.

'Rare card? Could they have found the rare card I've been searching for?' A student by the name of Seto Kaiba thought, having overheard the conversation as he looked away from his book and at them out of his peripheral vision.

At the end of the school day Yuki, followed by her friends, headed to the elementary school to pick up her little brother Yugi. Who was sitting on a bench, kicking his legs back and forth slightly as he waited patiently for his older sister to get there. Thankfully he had only been waiting a few minutes since it was now autumn in Domino City. Even with a jacket on it could be unbearably cold sometimes depending on the time of day. And as they witnessed the older Muto sibling walk across the crosswalk to retrieve her brother Joey, Tristan, and Tea still couldn't get over how similar they look. If it weren't for the considerably large age gap, height difference, and the fact that they're different genders one would think the Muto siblings were identical twins. At least when it comes to their physical appearance because almost everything looked exactly the same. They both had hair that defied gravity in the shape of a star and was black with an amethyst outline that shined magenta in the sun. Whilst six jagged lightning bolt shaped bangs framed their faces and were a golden blonde color. The bangs framed their faces so perfectly and drew attention to it and their eyes, which were so wide and innocent looking.

So much so that when it comes to the older of the two it sometimes made it very hard to tell if she's actually a teenagre or just a really tall elementary school kid. That alongside with their hair is where the differences happen because while Yugi has wide shining amethyst eyes Yuki's were heterochromic. Where the left eye was a bright amethyst the right eye was a fiery blood red crimson color, though it wasn't just here eye that was crimson. See whilst the outline of Yugi's hair is just a solid amethyst color yuki's ombre's from amethyst at the bottom to crimson red at the top. These differences certainly didn't take away from the similarities that her and her little brother share with one another. She also had that innocent doughy child like face, just like her little brother, that also made people question if she's really almost 17 years old. After all with a face like that, even if it was less child like than her little brother's, it's hard to believe that she's actually hit puberty. Plus she wasn't exactly blessed with large assets like most girls and her voice was kinda high even for a girl. Lastly was the Muto siblings pale skin and they may live in Japan but they were even paler than practically everyone in Domino. They were pale to the point that their skin is as white as snow and that made them seem sickly in the eyes of people that do not know them.

After they finished picking Yugi up from school the walk to the Game Shop started, the youngest Muto talking all the teens ears off as he told them about all the duels he won today. Practically dragging Yuki along by her hand so they could get back home as fast as possible. The little 8 year old was just so excited about the duels he won that he wanted to tell their Grandpa all about them. The older Muto absolutely loved to hear about those stories as they always made his day. Plus he felt that when his grandchildren talked about the duels they won that it made them more enthusiastic about dueling. Though it was not long until the shop came into view and it was honestly quite the colorful shop. What with it's bright yellow walls, green roofs, red door, and a section of the walls around the door were a deep blue color. The word "GAME" was in bright capital orange letters above the door but most thought that was to appeal to kids rather than to advertise anything. After all that is the typical target audience for games rather than older kids and adults. The shop itself was small with a three bedroom living quarters above it. It honestly wasn't much but they alongside their Grandpa, Solomon Muto, were content with their little shop and their little home.

A little shop and a little home was better than no shop and no home, no one could possibly tell them otherwise. Plus in the end the shop produces enough funds for Solomon to support himself as well as his grandkids and be able to be around games and Duel Monster cards. Those are two things he absolutely loves aside from his grandchildren and being an archeologist, but that's a story for another time. Besides it's not like there's much to talk about when it comes to that, seeing as he hasn't gone on an expedition in quite some time. So there were no new stories to tell his grandson and granddaughter, just old stories that they've already heard before. However despite there not being new stories to tell his grandchildren still enjoyed hearing stories about both his expeditions and his ti me as a duelist back in the day. Before he eventually settled down and had a family that led to him having two wonderful grandkids. Ones that he now not only loves but take care of now that their parents are sadly no longer with them in this world.

"Grandpa? Yugi and I are home!" Yuki called out as she pushed open the shop door, causing the bell above the door ring.

"And I see you've brought some company as well Yuki." Solomon said from his place behind the counter as he gave his grandkids and his granddaughter's friends a closed eye smile.

"Heh yeah, I told them about the shop and your super rare card. Could you maybe show it to us?" Yuki asked as her and the others walked over to the counter that her Grandpa was behind, hoping that he would say yes.

"Rare card? Ooh can I see it too Yuki?" Yugi asked after he tugged on the sleeve of his sister's uniform jacket to get her attention, looking up at her hopefully with a smile.

"I don't see why not, just so long as you promise to go upstairs and do your homework after you see it." Yuki stated causing her little brother to scrunch up his nose in annoyance and disdain at the word homework.

"Aw man... Okay, I promise." Yugi said as he pouted, reluctantly promising to do his homework afterwards.

"Good." Yuki said as she ruffled her little brother's hair slightly, who complained and swatted her hand away so he could fix his hair, before she turned her attention back to her Grandpa.

"Rare card? Do you mean my special card?" Solomon asked, not reacting to his grandkids antics or mentioning anything about them as he was used to it by now. "Hmm..." He hummed in thought as he glanced off to the side and cupped his bearded chin.

"Please! Please!" Yuki said as she pressed her palms together infront of her face in a begging position, Yugi copying her movements as he said please too.

"Pretty please!" Joey said from his spot next to Yuki whilst doing a quick bow, hoping that this would help convince the older male to show them the card.

"Hmm... Ha ha! How can I refuse?" Solomon asked with a smile, there was no way he could say no to such enthusiasm. "You kids are in for a real treat, I don't take this card out too often." He explained as he pulled an old looking leather box out from its hiding place within the glass display counter. "Ready? Here it is. The Blue Eyes White Dragon, so rare, so powerful, I never let it leave my hands." Solomon said as he pulled out the card from the box and held it up. The picture depicting a white dragon with piercing blue eyes and it was an eight star monster with 3,000 attack points and 2,500 defense points.

"Whoa." Yugi whispered in awe as he looked at the card, having to be held up by his sister in order to do so since he's too short to see over the counter.

"Awesome." Joey mumble as he looked at the card, and here he thought Yuki's cards were powerful yet this dragon seems nearly unstoppable power wise.

"Hmm. Doesn't look all that special to me..." Tristan said after plucking the card from Solomon's grasp in order to get a closer look at it as the older male gaps at him in shock.

"Aah! This card is priceless. There are only four of them in all the world." Solomon explained in a defensive tone as he snatched back the card and cradled it close and out of Tristan's reach.

"Really?" Tristan asked as this earned him a smack upside the head from Yuki, after putting down Yugi in order to do so. She now looked just as defensive about the card as her Grandpa because of that question.

"Yes, really. Have you learned nothing about rare cards even after being friends with me for a year?" Yuki asked with a frown as she crossed her arms and arched an eyebrow in his direction.

"Honestly Yuki, I zoned out whenever you were talking about rare cards..." Tristan admitted whilst scratching at the back of his head slightly with a frown.

"..." Yuki went silent when she heard that as she hung her head slightly, her bangs casting a shadow over her eyes and her shoulders began to shake. Tears slowly starting to fall from her eyes and left tear trails down her cheeks as Tristan recoiled in shock at this sudden bout of tears.

"Look what you did you jerk, you made my sister cry!" Yugi snapped, glaring at Tristan as he hugged his big sister's leg seeing as he's not tall enough to hug her around her waist.

"Shit! Yuki I'm sorry I just, I..." Tristan trailed off as he was trying to come up with some kind of reason that wouldn't make him sound like a complete asshole.

"No, it's okay. I-I know you don't like Duel Monsters as much as Joey and I do. I just like to know that you guys are paying attention when I'm talking about that kind of stuff." Yuki said, sniffling as she wiped at the tear tracks on her cheeks with the sleeve of her uniform jacket.

"Don't cry over him sis, he can't help but be a jerk, but I'll always listen to your stories about rare cards." Yugi reassure, still hugging Yuki's leg as he tries to cheer her up since he doesn't like it when she's sad.

"Fuck... Yuki I'll pay attention from now on, just please stop crying." Tristan said, hating the fact that he made one of his female friends cry.

"P-Promise?" Yuki asked as she looked up at Tristan with wide, glossy, tear filled puppy dog eyes and a small pout.

"I promise." Tristan said as he then relaxed when Yuki smiled, seemingly cheered up by his promise to pay attention when she talks about Duel Monsters from now on.

'Hehe, a few tears gets them everytime.' Yuki thought as she wiped away her tears and the rest of the tear tracks that were on her cheeks, pretending that she didn't just guilt trip her friend.

"Speaking of priceless I'm ready to trade!" Joey said as he looked at Solomon with a closed eyed grin, ignoring the fact that YTuki had just guilt tripped Tristan.

"Not for this card." Solomon said as he turned so he was now blocking Joey's view of the dragon card.

"Huh? No I don't mean that card. I mean show me some other cool cards to help me get started." Joey said whilst he looked down at all of the cards that were currently in the glass display case.

However suddenly the shop door slammed open making the bell above it ring loudly causing Yugi to jump in shock and hug onto his sister's leg tightly. This makes Yuki thankful that she wore short's underneath her skirt so no one accidentally sees anything. The source of the door suddenly being slammed open was none other than Seto Kaiba, the 18 year old CEO of Kaiba Corp which was the number one gaming company. Though it certainly wasn't as popular as Industrial Illusions, the company that created the Duel Monsters game. The tall brunette didn't take long to find the shop, after all this game shop is the only shop that is within walking distance of both the elementary and the high school. So logically speaking this had to be the Muto family game shop since this was the only game shop on this entire block of homes and shops.

The stoic teen stood there with a purpose as his left hand had a tight grip on a silver brief case whilst his right hand was pressed against the door to keep it open. He stood there in the doorway just staring unblinkingly at the interior of the small shop infront of him as he looked for any signs of his quarry. His eyes quickly landed on the group of teens that had been talking about the rare card during their free period. Though his eyes were more specifically looking at the short girl with gravity defying tri colored hair that was towards the middle of the group. After all its hard to forget a girl with that kind of strangely shaped and strangely colored hair, especially when she might have been talking about that card he was looking for. Plus in his line of work he has to remember peoples faces no matter how unimportant they are to him personally. He has to remember their faces especially if they owe him something or if he has to possibly call in a favor from them at some point in time.

"Hello can I help you?" Solomon asked politely as he looked across the store to Seto which brought his grandchildren and their companions attention to the new comer.

"If you can't, it certainly wouldn't surprise me." Seto said with his usual cold monotone voice as he was still standing in the doorway for now since he has yet to see any so called rare card.

"Seto Kaiba?" Yuki asked with a raised raised eyebrow, wondering if her eyes were playing tricks on her right now. Seto is supposed to have way to busy of a schedule, what with being the CEO of a successful company and all that jazz.

"Kaiba?!" Joey asked also not quite believing that someone like Seto Kaiba was at a Game Shop, he thought the sourpuss didn't like games.

"Doesn't he have a big fancy company to run? What's he doing all the way down here?" Tristan asked from his spot next to Joey, thinking there was no way Seto was here just to look at the store.

"Not that it's any of your business but I came to see the card." Seto said hoping that mentioning the card would speed this visit along so he could get home.

"So your into Duel Monsters too? This is perfect! Maybe we can all duel together sometime." Joey said with a smile, happy that him and Yuki would have another friend to duel against.

"Me duel you? I'd get more of a challenge playing solitaire." Seto said as he approached the group that stood between him and the counter.

"What?" Joey asked wondering if he had heard Seto correctly, at the moment not knowing if he should take that comment as an insult.

"I am the number one ranked duelist in the country and the favorite to win the Duel Monsters championship, you wouldn't last two minutes in a duel against me." Seto said, his normally monotone voice full of confidence as he had a smug egotistical look on his face.

"Ooh I'm shakin'. How'd you like to settle this with fists instead of cards?" Joey asked as he held up a clenched fist in Seto's direction.

"Calm down Joey." Yuki said as she got between Joey and Seto, reality once again making it painfully obvious that she is short compared to everyone.

"But Yuki, Kaiba's asking for it." Joey said as he looked down into the heterochromic eyes that belong to his best friend.

"Yea but that doesn't mean you should get yourself into a fight that could get yourself sent to juvy if he decides to press charges." Yuki said reminding Joey that there are consequences to fist fights in real life.

"Yea but still, the jerk needs to be taught some manners..." Joey said but he backed off nonetheless as to not anger his friend.

"Now does this shop have any worthwhile cards or not?" Seto asked with an amused smirk but he lost that smirk when he noticed the card on the counter.

"Hey!" Yuki said as she was suddenly pushed aside which made her stumble into Joey as Seto pushed his way past her.

"Hey you can't do that to my sister!" Yugi said as he tried to charge at Seto only to be held back by Tristan.

"Can it be? The Blue Eyes White Dragon, in a dump like this?" Seto asked in shock as he looked down at the card, ignoring everyone else around him.

"Hey jackass this place is not a dump!" Yugi said loudly in defense of his grandpa's shop as he is scolded by his sister for swearing.

'It is, the card I've been searching for!' Seto thought to himself as he continued to ignore everyone as he looks down at the card.

"Well enough window shopping, is there anything else I can help you with?" Solomon asked as he shut the box containing his Blue Eyes card, causing Seto to recoil in shock.

"Grr." Seto growled slightly as he suddenly lifted up his brief case and slammed it onto the counter, nearly scaring Solomon half to death.

"Aah!... Whoa." Solomon said as he flinched back and then looked on in awe as the contents of the case were shown to him as he could see it was filled to the brim with rare cards.

"Listen to me old man, give me your Blue Eyes White Dragon card and I'll trade you all of these." Seto said as he was going to get that card before the day is over. From behind him Yuki and her friends were shocked at the amount of rare cards he had whilst Yugi was to small to see what was going on.

"Ah nice, but no thanks." Solomon said which shocked the four teens, only furthered Yugi's confusion, and caused Seto a great amount of annoyance.

"Tch fine, if you won't trade it then maybe you'll sell it. Name your price, I can pay anything you ask." Seto said as he gave off the vibe that he'd give Solomon every cent of his fortune if it meant he could get the card.

Yuki was watching this interaction closely with a frown on her face. Why was Seto being so insistent on getting the Blue Eyes card from her Grandpa. Especially when three other Blue Eyes cards that are identical to the one that belongs to her Grandpa. Those are cards that are still out there and as far as she knows no one has claimed to have come into possession of the other three. So that meant that the other three cards were still out there and up for grabs, right? If so then that gave the cobalt eyed CEO no right to continue to harass that makes an honest living just because he won't give him a card he wants. It just made no sense to do so especially when the older male obviously doesn't want to give up the card and is against selling or trading it. That much was obvious to everyone in the shop, well, obvious to everyone except for one Seto Kaiba. Said male seemingly too hard headed to notice that the card means too much to Solomon for him to want to give it up. And that caused Yuki to immediately see that her Grandpa has a special bond with the card and that's what makes it even more priceless to him than it already is.

Just thinking about that made her gently touch her Millennium Puzzle. Yuki knew she would never give it up even if someone tried to pay her a king's ransom for it, because she felt like she had a special yet mysterious bond with it. That mysterious bond was more important to her than all the money in the entire world. And she cherishes this mysterious bond just as much as she cherishes her friends and their friendships. Yuki soon broke her train of thought though in order to look at Seto more closely, more specifically at his facial expression. She was trying to see if it gave away why he was so insistent on getting that card from her Grandpa. After most people would have enough common sense to stop trying after their first offer had been rejected. The only time someone ever tries again with a second offer is because they are either too stubborn to take no for an answer or are too desperate to give up . However Yuki found no trace's of answer's in Seto's facial expression as to why he is doing this. Though she soon got lost in thought as she looked at his chiseled features and hauntingly sexy cobalt blue eyes. Oh how she so desperately wanted to run her fingers through that luscious head of chocolate brown hair he has just to see if it's as soft and silky as it appears to be.

Yuki blushed darkly at her suddenly wanting to do that, looking away from Seto as she attempted to get her blush under control. She honestly couldn't believe she was having those kinds of thoughts, especially about someone she's never talked to before and who's older than her. Not to mention that this is the first time she's seen him outside of school and so far he's not exactly making the best first impression on her. Said male noticed how Yuki was not only staring at him but was blushing as well as she looked away. He had noticed it out of the corner of his eye, and by now he was used to girls blushing and fawning over him. Comes with the territory of being a young, good looking bachelor that runs a successful company like Kaiba Corp. So he honestly has never paid much attention to it before, but something about the heterochromic eyed girl made her look cute when she blushed. Seto quickly got rid of those thoughts though as he mentally scolded himself. No he was not here to get a potential girlfriend, he's here to get the Blue Eyes White Dragon card and then get the hell out of this tiny shop. Then he can head home and back to Mokuba just in time for dinner, preferably before he starts to reek of poor people. Cause he seriously was not in the mood for needing to shower as soon as he gots home.

"I'm sure you could, but this card means more to me than you could ever offer. Not because of its power, or because it's so rare, but because of what it means to me." Solomon said before looking down at the card in his hand fondly. "This card was given to me by a dear friend, and so I treasure this card as I do that friend. So parting with it is simply out of the question." He said as he looked towards a confused Seto who recoiled in shock yet again in response to the last part of the older males statement.

'No!' Seto thought in both shock and outrage as his eyes narrowed slightly, nobody denies Seto Kaiba what he wants and gets away with it.

"Aw that's so sweet Grandpa." Yuki said with a smile, wishing she had that type of bond with a card that had been given to her out of friendship.

"You'd feel the same about a common card too, right Grandpa?" Yugi asked as he smiled as well, it was inspirational for the 8 year old to see his Grandpa stand his ground in order to keep a card that's special to him.

"Exactly. You see, this card has bonded with my heart." Solomon said as an attempt to further explain to Seto why he's not going to sell or trade the card.

"Fine, I've had enough of your nonsense..." Seto said as he shut his brief case, pulling it off the counter as he turns and walks towards the door. "Senile old fool." He hissed out as he walked away, a scowl maring his face.

"Good riddance..." Yuki mumbled, glad that Seto had finally gotten the message and had left but something about this situation wasn't sitting right with her.

"Let the door hit ya on the way out asshole!" Yugi said as he watched Seto leave only to be scolded by his sister again for swearing again.

Seto of course ignored that comment, arguing with an eight year old delinquent was beneath him. He left the shop and climbed into the backseat of the white limo that had been waiting for him to come out of the shop. The sunset tinting the car and everything around it pink as the limo drove away from the Game Shop and towards the Kaiba Mansion once the driver knew he got in. 'Heart in the cards- ridiculous! These cards are all about power, and one way or another his Blue Eyes White Dragon card will be mine.' Seto thought with gritted teeth as he glared at the privacy window that seperated the backseat from the front.

Despite the incident that had just happened because of Setoit certainly didn't discourage Joey from trading with Solomon for better cards. The older male was more than happy to put the events from a few minutes ago behind him as well. He did so in order to not only help Joey with his deck before Tristan, Tea, and him had to leave but also as to not dwell on the past. Even if that past had just happened today and wasn't quite exactly in the past just yet. While that had been happening Yugi had gone upstairs to do his homework as promised, only coming to ask his sister for help when he needed it. Which wasn't too often since her little brother is an extremely smart kid that only needed help with making sure he has the right answers when he's on the fence about them. And Yuki was more than happy to help reassure Yugi that the answer's on his homework are the correct ones. Before the three teens left they said bye to their heterochromic eyed friend before heading on their merry way. Knowing that if they didn't get home soon their parents would freak and call the cops to send out a search party to look for them. After that Yuki had been oddly quiet though as she helped with closing up the Game Shop for the night and when she was helping her Grandpa make dinner.

Though now, at 10:25 pm, Yuki and her Grandpa were the only ones up due to the fact that the younger Muto child's bedtime was at 9:00 pm. So Solomon decided that it was the right time to ask his granddaughter why she had been quiet since both Seto and her friends left. Knowing that she would be more inclined to talk now that it was just the two of them since she doesn't like to discuss her problems infront of Yugi. Yuki just feels like that if they're her problems then no one but her should worry about them and she also doesn't want to cause anyone unnecessary concerns. Which is why she ends up keeping any possible problems she may have to herself so she bears the burden of the problem's on her own. Then by the time that someone finally finds out that she has a problem it's usually too late to help her with the problem. Either because it has happened already and has been dealt with or because it is about to happen and there's no possible way to prevent it from happening.

"Yuki, what seems to be the matter? You have been silent ever since that Kaiba boy and your friends left the shop." Solomon said as he handed Yuki a cup of tea, steam rising from the contents within the cup as she gratefully accepts the cup that was held out to her.

"I dunno Grandpa i just, I feel like Kaiba maybe planning something sinister in order to get your Blue Eyes card. Though, maybe I'm just being paranoid..." Yuki said as she looked down at her cup of tea that looked similar to apple cider but smelt of candy apples, her favorite flavored tea to drink.

"Hmm, perhaps you are right Yuki..." Solomon stated as he went downstairs to the Game Shop for a moment before coming back upstairs to the living area above the shop. Soon placing his Blue Eyes White Dragon card on the table infront of Yuki causing her to glance between the card and him in shock.

"Grandpa, this is your Blue Eyes card. Why did you bring it out again?" Yuki asked, clearly confused about why her Grandpa brought out his most treasured card again and about what this means exactly.

"Because if you are right about Kaiba's intentions, then I want you to hold onto it." Solomon explained as he sat down at the table across from Yuki, watching as she tentatively picked up the card. As if she felt like it was made of glass and would shatter if she handled it too roughly.

"B-But this is your most treasured card, you said you never let it leave your hands. I can't take this from you!" Yuki exclaimed as she tried to give the card back but Solomon wouldn't take the card back.

"Yuki listen to me, I am an old man. One day I will not be here and long ago I decided to entrust this card to you should anything happen to me." Solomon explained, watching in amusement as his granddaughter's eyes seemed to sparkle and light up with joy at this revelation. "So I see no harm in giving it to you early." He added with a warm smile, knowing that his granddaughter will take good care of his Blue Eyes card.

"Won't your friend be mad that you're giving it to me though?" Yuki asked, as joyful as she may be about this she did not want to be what causes one of her Grandpa's friendships to be ruined.

"Ha ha, no of course not. He knows that I have grandkids, so he would have assumed I would leave the card to one of you. Just promise me you'll take good care of that card." Solomon said as he saw tears well up in Yuki's heterochromic eyes, but they were happy tears not sad tears.

"Okay Grandpa, I promise I'll take good care of the card." Yuki reassured as she looked down at the card, her heart swelling with happiness and pride at the fact that her Grandpa trusted her to have this card.

Solomon watched on with a smile as Yuki drank her tea as quick as humanly possible without burning her tongue before saying goodnight. The tri colored star shaped haired girl then walked to her room, the Blue Eyes White Dragon card gently held between her fingers as she does so. Solomon had already known that Yuki would take good care of the card, so he was not worried about her not keeping her promise as he sat there. Content with finishing his now lukewarm tea at a more modest pace before doing the dishes as he does every night. Inside Yuki's room said girl took the lid off of the golden sarcophagus that once held the pieces of the Millennium Puzzle, but now held her extra Duel Monster cards. Placing the card inside, knowing it would be safe in there as she looked at the card fondly before fitting the sarcophagus lid back into place. Then she took off the Millennium Puzzle from around her neck, gently easing it down onto her nightstand before she went and showered. Putting pj's on once she was in her room and dried off, getting ready to climb in bed and go to sleep since she has school tomorrow. Even though a big part of her wanted so desperately to stay up and incorporate the Blue Eyes White Dragon into her deck but she can't.

Otherwise she'll fall asleep in class and will possibly get in trouble with the teacher, which is something she really didn't want to happen, so she tried her best to fall asleep. In the end she couldn't get to sleep though as she slightly in frustration. Giving in as she got out from under her warm covers, turned her desk lamp on, and sat in her desk chair with the golden sarcophagus and her deck infront of her. Soon spending a good portion of the night rearranging her deck, adding and removing cards in order to successfully add the Blue Eyes White Dragon into her deck. She was now extremely glad that she had more than just fairy and spell caster monsters as well as spell cards that work for more than just fairies and spell casters. Otherwise Yuki would be totally screwed if she even tried to play the dragon card in some kind of duel. However unbeknownst to her not only would she be getting an entirely new deck with new cards, at least to her they'll be new. But she would also be in a duel that will have alot riding on it come tomorrow afternoon after leaving school and picking up Yugi like she always does.
