The AU that Catboy and Bolt end up in: I'm doing a little alternate universe where the Power Heroes are all evil (Dark Masks) and are being controlled by Romeo. Luna Girl, Motsuki, Octobella, and all the other villains of the series do not exist. The Dark Masks' enemies are the genderswapped PJ Masks.
Episode 4A: Romeo's Seismic Plan - Part 2
Catboy and Bolt took the Cat Racer back to Power Q.
"That was easier than I thought," Bolt said, getting out of the vehicle and stretching.
"Yeah...I was looking forward to something harder," Catboy replied.
The two made their way back up to the meeting room, but something was wrong...
...very wrong.
Catboy and Bolt walked in to see their meeting room completely recolored. Everything was black with bright red highlights, and the orb screen was a glitching red sphere. The chairs were completely empty.
"By my cat's whiskers! What happened here? How long were we gone for?" Catboy yelped.
"I have no exact idea, but everything looks villainous and terrifying...this is definitely not how anything looked when we left to go deal with Romeo," Bolt replied.
"Where is everyone?" Catboy asked as walked around.
"I don't know- CATBOY, WAIT!" Bolt replied, making Catboy turn to face her. Her suit turned dark green, and she had spiky eyelashes.
"What the? What happened to you?" Catboy asked Bolt, and then he looked at himself and gasped. The blue cat had turned brown with black stripes. "What happened to me?!"
"Greetings, new villains, Cougar and Poison," said a voice. Catboy and Bolt turned their heads to see Bastet approaching them from her dorm. Bastet's look had changed, too. She now was black with white stripes, and her jewelry was red with black outlines. She kind of looked like a girl version of Night Panther, the cat Catboy became when he was hit by Romeo's opposite ray.
"Bastet?" Bolt said.
"Who is Bastet? I am Clawstet," Bastet hissed.
"Clawstet?" Catboy asked in confusion.
"Yes," Clawstet said. "Welcome to the Dark Masks Power Q. Mew."
Bolt and Catboy, now Poison and Cougar, had no idea how to react. Lynx came up behind Clawstet, breaking the silence. She was purple with yellow highlights, and her halo above her head was yellow, but it looked pretty much corrupted.
"Hey, new guys," Lynx said.
"Hey, Jynx," Clawstet replied.
"We've entered some kind of villain alternate universe..." Poison whispered into Cougar's ear.
The other heroes entered the room. Gekko/Salamander was green with blue highlights, Ice Cub/Black Bear was black with cyan highlights, Lilyfay/Fire Fairy was dark gray with red highlights, Owlette/Jet Feather was purple with black highlights, and Phoenix/Crowfire was red with orange highlights.
"Alright, Dark Masks," Clawstet announced. "Let's see what assignment Romeo has for us tonight."
Romeo?! Cougar thought as everyone sat down in their seats in the meeting room.
What is going on right now?! Poison thought.
Suddenly, Romeo showed up on the orb screen, laughing maniacally.
"Romeo's over us?" Cougar asked.
"Yes. Mew," Clawstet meowed. "He's always sending us on missions to cause trouble, but we keep getting defeated by these kids called Les PJ Masks. They consist of Catgirl, Owlboy, and Gekkogirl."
Cougar and Poison were just silent...and confused. Was that earthquake machine a distraction to send the PJ Masks Power Heroes into an alternate universe somehow?
"Thanks for explaining, Clawstet," Romeo said remotely. "Now, Dark Masks, it is time for your first mission of the night. I want Fire Fairy and Jet Feather to go cause trouble in the park. The rest of you can rest up. As for Cougar and Poison, they should stay here so I can talk to them."
"Yes, Romeo!" everyone replied, running off to obey their overlord.
"Isn't this fun...Catboy and Bolt?" Romeo asked Cougar and Poison, laughing maniacally once again.
"What did you do to our friends, Romeo?" Poison asked angrily.
"Well, it's simple. My earthquake machine was never actually an earthquake machine; when you PJ Pests broke it, it turned your world into an alternate universe where the Power Heroes are evil. Whoever was closest to the machine when it broke was able to keep their memories of the old universe," Romeo explained. "Simple as that."
"Who exactly are the 'Les PJ Masks', though?" Cougar inquired.
"Oh, them? They're just genderswapped versions of your original team," Romeo replied.
"Whoa...you've really outdone yourself this time, Romeo," Cougar commented. "But we'll find a way to bring our universe back!"
"I'd like to see you guys try," Romeo snapped.
"Come on, Catboy! Let's go to the park to stop Fire Fairy and Jet Feather," Poison told Cougar. The two ran off; they were going to bring back their universe.
Romeo chuckled. "Good luck, PJ Pests. The Dark Masks don't like betrayers."
