"First years! These are the rules that you'll abide by: The game itself will last 15 minutes. Individual point values will be added together to reach your team total. Everyone will know how much you're worth thanks to your headbands. Swipe as many headbands as you can to raise your team's score." Midnight explained, waving her flag towards the hologram. The students looked at the rules displayed on the hologram and nodded their heads in understanding.

"Stolen headbands must be worn from the neck up. So, the more you steal, the harder it'll be to manage them. And another thing. Even if your headband gets stolen or your team falls down, you can keep playing until time's up." Midnight explained, causing some relief to go through a few students.

"It's anyone's game, then." Yaoyorozu said, thinking about the game.

"And since there are 42 contestants, there'll be ten or 12 teams fighting on the field the entire time." Sato pointed out, causing a shiver to go through the spine of the student standing in front of him.

"Sounds hard." Aoyama muttered, feeling anxious.

"So, if you lose your headband at the beginning, you have more time to make up a plan?" Mina speculated, getting a questionable look from Tsu.

"I dunno, Mina. Maybe we should wait and see how the teams turn out before we start strategizing." Tsu recommended.

"This is going to be rough. You may use your quirks as much as you like. But there are still rules! Make a team fall on purpose and I'll slap you with a red card. You'll be disqualified!" Midnight explained, causing Bakugo to groan. That took some of the fun out for him.

"Tch." He scoffed, looking off in a different direction. Standing next to him, Ami glanced at Bakugo and noticed his reaction to the rule. She flashed a relieved smile towards him, mostly happy that he couldn't murder an entire team. The holographic monitor behind Midnight changed slides. A timer appeared on the screen, getting all the students' attention.

"Now, you've got 15 minutes to build your teams. I recommend you get started." Midnight announced. Ami looked around and watched the students around her wander off in search of allies. She stared ahead of her and saw Izuku standing still, thinking to himself. She raised an eye at him and folded her arms. She could tell he was thinking really hard about this. She stood there staring at him for a minute before she watched him nod his head and turn around. Izuku looked around and made eye contact with Ami, who stared at him with a slightly off smile. Ami looked at Izuku's face and noticed the serious expression that told her he had a plan. His face made it clear that he was taking this very seriously, however, Ami couldn't help but notice his legs were shaking.

"Hey, Ami. Are you looking for someone to team with?" Izuku asked, looking serious despite the nervous shaking.

"Yup." Ami nodded, keeping her voice low. She approached Izuku with a half-smile-half-frowning face that Izuku was too hopeful to notice. Izuku smiled at Ami and assumed she was approaching him to be on his team.

"This is great. With you on my team, we-"

"Actually, Izzy...That's what I wanted to talk to you about." Ami said, shifting around awkwardly. The enthusiastic smile on Izuku's face slightly dropped upon hearing Ami talk.

"Huh?" Izuku replied, wondering if he heard his sister just right.

"I actually don't want to team with you." Ami admitted, awkwardly holding onto her elbow. Izuku took a minute to process that. The sound of glass breaking inside his head snapped him back to reality.

"WHAT!?" Izuku thought, internally screaming. He felt like his own sister just stabbed him.

"But, why?" Izuku questioned, "Is it because of my points?" Izuku frowned, feeling the tears flow down. Ami stared at Izuku's watery eyes and cringed, feeling bad for him.

"It's not because of that, Izzy." Ami assured him, attempting to calm Izuku down just a little. Her response was enough for him to stop the tears, but it wasn't enough for him to understand why she didn't want to team up.

"Don't take this the wrong way, Izzy. I thought about teaming up with you, too, but…well…How do I put this?" Ami said, unsure how to explain this to him.

"I don't want people to think I'm carrying you." Ami muttered, the confession was just loud enough for Izuku to hear. Izuku heard her explanation and tilted his head in confusion.

"What?" Izuku questioned, confusedly. He wasn't expecting that answer nor did the thought ever occur to him. Ami saw the lost look in Izuku's face and knew she had to explain it fast.

"Think about it, Izzy. You didn't use your quirk for the entire obstacle course. You only got past the second obstacle so quickly because of me. And It's not difficult to figure out we're related. So, I started thinking about what it looked like to the audience. Because of that, I realized after the obstacle course that people might think I'm helping you just because we're siblings. Rather than as heroes." Ami explained. Izuku opened his mouth to protest, but he didn't let out a peep. He thought about what Ami was saying and closed his mouth.

"I don't want people to think I'm giving you an advantage just because I'm your sister. So, what better way to dispel that idea than by working against each other? Remember what All Might said? He wanted you to introduce yourself to the world and proudly say, "I am here," not, "we are here." Ami explained. Izuku was starting to get the picture.

"With me around helping you it'll be difficult making a huge impression like that, you know? So, you can't really do that with me around. You get what I mean, right, Izzy?" Ami asked, looking at Izuku with a slight frown. Izuku looked at Ami's face and gathered his thoughts. She had a point. If they keep working together up till the finals, then the audience might get the wrong idea. Especially because he wasn't using One For All. He remembered those words that All Might had said to him as well. They were meant for him and only him. Ami was right to think that teaming up would take away from that moment. Taking it all in, he nodded his head in understanding.

"I get it. Working together would only make us look like we can't function without the other. And if I'm going to do what All Might said, then I'm gonna have to make sure my efforts in the festival are my own accomplishments. I can't rely on you for help. You're right, maybe we shouldn't team up for the cavalry battle."

"Thanks for understanding, Izzy." Ami smiled, comfortably putting a hand on his shoulder.

"You're welcome, sis. But with that said, who will you be teaming up with?" Izuku asked, wondering what her plan was.

"I don't know. Guess we'll find out during the battle, huh? Good luck, Izzy." Ami said, walking off towards the other direction.

"You, too!" Izuku exclaimed, watching Ami leave. Once she left, Izuku turned back around and started to think about who he should team with. With Ami not teaming with him, he was gonna have to rethink his plan again. Ami wandered off a bit and looked at all the students. She felt sorry for rejecting Izuku like that and thought to herself.

"I hope I made the right decision turning Izzy down like that. It'd be awkward if I end up being the last person looking for teammates." Ami thought, wandering around the track.

Break Room - Staff Only

From inside the stadium, the heroes working security for the Festival all hung out together. After the obstacle course was complete, the heroes patrolling the outside got to rotate with another security group, allowing some of the heroes time to relax. Death Arms, Mt. Lady, and Kamui Woods sat together in the security rest lounge watching the televised coverage of the Sports Festival through a monitor on the wall.

"The Sports Festival isn't really about seeing how prepared they are at being heroes. It's more about simulating the competition they'll face if they go pro." Death Arms stated, staring at the results of the obstacle course. He lit a cigarette and held it in his hands, blowing smoke out of his mouth.

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"We both know this country's overrun with agencies right now. If you wanna put food on the table. You've gotta be willing to step on top of other heroes. That was the whole point of the first round." Death Arms said. Kamui Woods stared intently at Death Arms, ignoring the smoke blowing towards his direction. Mt. Lady covered her nose and attempted to blow away the cigarette smoke.

"That's such a sad way of looking at our jobs." Mt. Lady said, ticking Kamui Woods off. He narrowed his eyes and turned to look at her.

"Seriously? You've never had a problem stealing the spotlight." Kamui Woods stated, remembering the credit she stole from him last year against the villain on the train tracks.

"But, on the other hand. Even if you're battling each other for popularity. There are plenty of cases where you have to work together." Death Arms stated, thinking about the Sludge Villain incident

"Huh. You're right, it's just like this cavalry battle! Every point you score is not just for you but for your teammates as well. Plus, you have to think about how quirks work together and who you're compatible with." Mt. Lady agreed, thinking about the quirks of the first years.

"It's kind of like coordinating with your sidekick or doing quirk training with other agencies." Kamui Wood added, twisting off the cap of his water bottle. He went for a drink and felt the thud of his wooden mask block him from drinking. He quickly undid his wooden armor and took a drink while Death Arms spoke.

"I'm sure at least some of the kids are thinking about all this. If they become pros, it'll be their way of life."

"They've still got a long road ahead of 'em."

The Student Grounds - UA Sports Festival

Ami wandered around the field, looking around for groups to join. She considered attempting to team with Bakugo but after what she pulled to get fourth place, she imagined Bakugo would rather kill her instead than let her join him. She stared at the number of students surrounding Bakugo and figured he had his hands busy dealing with them. Ami sighed and turned around, wandering off towards another direction.

"Alright. There's plenty of people to team with still. Let's go." Ami said, hyping herself up.

She wandered around the field watching them all and saw the students in Class 1-B running around forming groups quickly. As she watched 1-B organize into teams, she felt a small tug on her clothes. She was caught off guard by the tug and stopped moving. She raised her eyes in confusion and turned around. Strangely enough, she saw no one around her.

"Huh?" Ami muttered, wondering what that was.

"Down here." A familiar voice said to her. Ami heard the voice and looked down, immediately recognizing who it was. Her mood immediately lowered upon seeing the purple pervert looking up at her.

"Oh, it's you." Ami said, showing no sign of positivity. She narrowed her eyes at Mineta and crossed her arms. The glare on Ami's face was enough to cause Mineta's legs to shake. Even so, he held on and clasped his fingers together. Mineta nervously gulped and fell to his knees, forming a prayer.

"Ami, I beg of you. Please join my team." Mineta whined, praying with his eyes closed. Ami raised an eyebrow at the small teens prayer and shook her head.

"No." Ami said, denying his request. Mineta's eyes bulged out upon hearing her denial. He gritted his teeth and frowned. Instead of giving up, however, he instead asked again.

"Please." Mineta pleaded.

"Forget it. I'm not carrying you around. Go ask someone else." Ami said, shaking her head.

"I did. I asked every girl here and they all said no. You're my only hope, Ami." Mineta answered, causing Ami to look at him incredulously. She took a step back after hearing what he said.

"Wait, you asked every girl on the field to join your team already? Ami asked, surprised.

"Uh huh." Mineta replied, nodding his head.

"But it hasn't even been five minutes yet." Ami said, glancing at the timer on the center stage hologram. Honestly, she shouldn't have been surprised how fast he was rejected.

"I know. The timer just started and no girl wants to be on my team. I'm getting desperate, Ami. I even asked if I could join Todoroki's team and you know what he said to me?" Mineta whined, piquing Ami's curiosity. She looked back down at Mineta and replied.

"What?" She asked. Mineta then explained his encounter with Shoto Todoroki after he was rejected by Yaoyorozu.

"Todoroki, please let me be on your team." Mineta pleaded. Mineta looked up at Todoroki and watched as he turned around and faced him. The cold air surrounding them caused a chill to go down Mineta's spine. He made eye contact with the blank cold expression on Todoroki's face and squirmed under his cold glare. Todoroki looked at the short teen for a minute and said nothing, confusing Mineta. He stood there quietly looking at Mineta for a few seconds before finally asking him a question. A question Mineta didn't want to hear.

"Are you even in my class?" Todoroki asked, looking down at him with a cold stare. Mineta heard the question from Todoroki and felt his eyes twitch. Todoroki didn't even know who he was.

"Wh-what?" Mineta questioned, shocked to hear Todoroki's reply. From Todoroki's perspective, all he knew about the teen was when he nearly got hit by one of his purple hair balls during the obstacle race. When Mineta finished his retelling of what happened all he could hear from Ami was her stifled laughter.

"It's not funny!" Mineta cried out, hearing Ami laughing at him.

"Please join my team, Ami. Please!"

"Sorry, Mineta. But I really don't want to be on a team with you. I'm sure you're aware of the big reason why." Ami said, rejecting Mineta once more. Ami's rejection rang through Mineta's head. Her harsh words stabbed into his heart like knives. Mineta stopped praying and felt ashamed, dropping onto his knees. That was it for the purple teen. Every girl in the field rejected him. That knowledge was too much for the small purple teen.

"No girl wants to team with me. What am I gonna do now?" Mineta mumbled, feeling crushed. Ami looked down at the sad teen and slowly stepped away from him. She looked the other way in an attempt to not be swayed by his sad demeanor.

"I'm gonna go away now. Good luck finding someone, Mineta." Ami said, turning around and walking away. Ami made quick glances behind her and frowned upon seeing the visibly sad expression on his face.

"Man…" Ami frowned, feeling bad for him. Even if he was perverted, maybe she came off too strong. Either way, being on a team with him was definitely not in the cards. Ami walked towards the outskirts of the field where less students were and looked for anyone willing to team up. Staring at her from a few feet away was another purple haired student. His dead expression hid whatever emotions he had in his head.

"Hey. You're from Class 1-A." A tired sounding voice said. Ami stopped walking once more and recognized that voice from somewhere. She turned around and was greeted by a familiar purple teen with wild hair and the deadest of eyes. The silent teen approached Ami slowly.

"Oh, hey. General Studies, right? You're that guy who insulted Kacchan." Ami guessed, receiving a questionable look from the half dead looking teen.

"Kacchan?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow. Ami stood there silent, not fully understanding the question until seconds later.

"Oh, sorry. Force of habit. That's what me and my brother call him. Everyone else calls him Bakugo. We grew up together." Ami explained, receiving a slightly confused nod from the teen.

"I see." The purple haired teen replied, not sure why he needed to know that.

"I can't believe you made it in the top 42. You even beat out a ton of the other students in the hero course. You know even for General Studies your quirk can't be all that bad." Ami said, surprising the purple haired teen.

"...Thanks." He replied, unsure how to respond to that. He wasn't expecting to get praised for making the top 42 by someone in Class 1-A.

"But I can't imagine how much pressure you're feeling being the only General student here." Ami said. The purple haired teen shifted uncomfortably after hearing her words. She was right. He was feeling the pressure though not the way she imagined. He flashed a lazy grin and attempted to change the subject.

"...Right. I noticed your cane is gone." The purple haired teen said, changing the subject fast. Ami was puzzled for a split second after hearing his observation.

"My ca- oh, right. Yeah, I had to walk around with that thing for two whole days. It was annoying. Thankfully, I'm out of that thing." Ami nodded, laughing about the cane.

"Mhmm." The purple haired teen said, nodding his head. Ami stared at him for a second and realized she didn't even know his name.

"Oh, we haven't properly introduced ourselves yet, have we? My name's Ami Midoriya. What's yours?" Ami smiled, politely holding her hand out for him to shake.

"..." The purple haired teen stared down at the hand and felt inclined to actually do it, however his emotions stopped him from following through. He stared down at the hand hesitantly and stood there in silence. Ami noticed the lack of a hand to shake and looked down to see him almost shake her hand. When Ami looked down, the purple haired teen immediately returned his hand to his side in response. Ami looked up at the dead eyed teen with a tiny confused frown.

"Is something the matter?" Ami asked, puzzled by his actions.

"...You could say that. Before it begins I guess I should apologize beforehand." The purple haired teen admitted, causing Ami to tilt her head in confusion.

"What do you me-"

THUMP

Before Ami could finish her sentence, her voice disappeared. Within one second of time, the confused smile on her face vanished and replaced itself with a shocked frown. Her eyes went wide and went white, erasing the color in her eyes. Ami's vision darkened and a strange fog minimized her field of vision. The strange fog prevented her from seeing very far. Not only was her sight affected, but so was her hearing. The sounds of the stadium and the crowds became muffled in her head. Ami's mind was caught in a whirlwind of confusion as the bizarre experience set off numerous alarms in her head.

"Huh?" Ami thought, feeling a strange feeling take over her body.

"What's happening? It's like everything around me got cloudy all of a sudden?" Ami thought, feeling the thoughts in her head repeat themselves over and over again. Ami wanted to move but couldn't. Something prevented her from doing anything.

"You're probably wondering what's going on right now? It's a lot to explain but to summarize it, you're no longer in control of yourself anymore." The purple haired teen explained, walking out of Ami's line of sight. Ami attempted to move her head to keep track of the teen but to no avail.

"What? That's his quirk?" Ami thought, feeling her voice begin to stutter. The purple haired teen looked at Ami's face from the side and saw the shocked expression on her face. As he did, he felt a twinge of regret form in the back of his head.

"For once, I'm actually sorry about doing this to a student in the festival. Sorry it had to be this way, I should've started it as soon as you talked but I hesitated. A big mistake on my part." He said, walking back to Ami's field of vision. He stood a few feet in front of her and stared into her brainwashed eyes.

"I have to do this. I need to get to the finals at all costs. And I can't hold myself back just to make a good impression." The purple haired teen apologized, staring into Ami's brainwashed eyes.

"For what it's worth, you'll still end up in the finals after this so relax. My name is Hitoshi Shinso and I intend to win this match. Now walk over to that side of the field. The others are waiting." Shinso ordered, pointing his finger towards the opposite side of the field.

"What? This is insane. Why can't I do anything? Why am I moving? Am I even breathing?" Ami thought, watching her body move on its own. The strange feeling of having no control over herself was causing her stress levels to rise. Inside her mind, she felt like a prisoner. She was sure her heart was beating at a record speed but she couldn't even feel it. The only sense she still had was her sight and her hearing and even that was barely working.

"This isn't what I want." Ami panicked, desperately trying to move by her own accord.

"Stop moving! Why won't I stop?" Ami thought, watching herself walk past student after student. The path seemed to clear itself as people either ignored her or moved around her.

"Someone. Please." Ami whispered, fully immersed in panic.

At The Same Time

Bakugo put his hands in his pockets, letting out an annoyed grunt. He saw the game on the hologram and groaned. A Cavalry battle meant he had to seek people out to join him and he was not going to listen to people requesting him to join their team. If people want him so bad they better ask to join his team and not the other way around. Fortunately for him, he didn't have to go far before students came flocking towards him.

"You should team with me!" Sato said, pointing at himself.

"No, you definitely want me by your side." Mina said.

"I don't wanna beg, but please." Aoyama pleaded, desperately clinging to his belly with a sickly expression. Bakugo listened to the students offering to join his team and stood there blankly. In his head, he was at least satisfied to hear they wanted to join his team and not the other way around. However, there was one glaring problem he had to deal with. He had no idea who these people were and what their quirks were.

"Wait, remind me what your quirks are again. And your names." Bakugo requested, getting shocked reactions from the students around him.

"You're kidding! We're your classmates." Mina complained, shocked he could forget about them already.

"Can you really be that self-centered?" Sato asked, irritated by Bakugo's question.

Off in the distance, All Might sat in the faculty section of the stadium. He stared out at the field and watched students start grouping together. Looking carefully he noticed that Class 1-B was forming groups faster than 1-A. He started to wonder if 1-B had this planned out already. He diverted his attention from the 1-B students and focused on the 1-A students. Scouting around for any sign of the Midoriya twins, he found them near the center. He watched Izuku and Ami talk about something, raising his eyebrow in curiosity. When he saw Ami walk away from Izuku, he was even more curious. He stared at them and wondered what was happening. Izuku wasn't that pleased judging by the expression on his face, leaving All Might to assume they weren't working together for the Cavalry Battle. He wondered what kind of plan the twins had for this battle and for who they would team up with. He looked away from Izuku and Ami and noticed the attention around the twins' childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo.

"He's a hot head. But he came in third and he has 200 points. And considering how versatile his quirk is, I'm not surprised people would try to join up with him." All Might thought, observing the amount of students surrounding the blond.

"Bakugo!" Kirishima waved, getting the gathering of students' attention.

"I was gonna try Todoroki, but he already picked a group. So, hey! We should team up." Kirishima asked, enthusiastically.

"Hey, Dumb Hair." Bakugo greeted, finally recognizing someone.

"My name is Kirishima!" Kirishima yelled, irked by the name, "And my hair's not that different from yours." Kirishima pointed out.

"Come on. You wanna be the rider, right? So you're gonna need a strong front horse who won't be hurt by your blasts. That'd be me." Kirishima advertised, showing off the hardening skin of his arm. Bakugo stared at him with an unamused look and wondered how much Red Hair could handle dealing with his explosions.

"Hmm… I need someone with guts." Bakugo said, pushing Kirishima into trying harder.

"My quirk was made for this! I got you covered, man! Let's go charging into battle together." Kirishima offered, getting Bakugo's attention.

"Ten million. Bring it." Kirishima said, clenching his fist. That attitude from Red Hair got the attention of Bakugo. He stared at Red Hair and made a twisted smile. That was the attitude he needed to hear to sell him on his offer to join him.

"Alright, Red Hair, you're in." Bakugo grunted, staring at him menacingly. Kirishima mentally congratulated himself on convincing Bakugo. Bakugo turned back around and stared down the students in front of him. Receiving Bakugo's glare was enough to unnerve them. Kirishima stood behind Bakugo with arms crossed and a smile on his face. He didn't know how else to act. Kirishima listened to his classmates' cases for joining Bakugo's team and noticed Ami walking by all alone. Kirishima watched Ami walk around with no Izuku in sight and raised an eyebrow.

"Is she looking for a team? Why's she not teaming with her brother?" Kirishima asked. He continued to watch Ami wander around until an idea had formed in his head. He put a hand on his chin in deep thought at the idea and grinned, nodding his head.

"Hey, Bakugo." Kirishima said, getting Bakugo's attention.

"What?" Bakugo replied, not bothering to turn around and face him.

"You said you needed someone with guts, right? Well, then how about Ami-" Kirishima barely managed to say Ami's name before Bakugo loudly interrupted him.

"Absolutely not!" Bakugo said, raising his voice. Kirishima's smile faltered under Bakugo's raised voice. Bakugo turned around and glared at him like usual, unnerving him.

"Wha- Why? I can't think of anyone better." Kirishima questioned, slightly nervous.

"I don't need Habanero or her stupid fire quirk." Bakugo stated, crossing his arms.

"Hey, c'mon. You have to admit what she did to get fourth place was pretty gutsy." Kirishima pointed out, causing Bakugo to scowl at him. He couldn't deny that he didn't see her coming then. He also wasn't expecting her to grab onto his leg just to reach the exit.

"Seeing you nearly trip on the replay was great, too." Sero snickered, causing Bakugo to turn around and glare at him. Both Sero and Mina were the last students to stick around Bakugo and Kirishima in a bid to join his team.

"Bring that up again and I'll kill you!" He growled, seething with anger. Sero nodded, hiding his snickering.

"Okay… Well, what about when she blocked the tunnel using her fire at the beginning of the game. That was pretty gutsy, right?" Kirishima said, thinking up another example.

"Yeah. That fireball surprised the heck out of everyone." Mina agreed. Sero and Mina didn't seem to realize they were potentially taking a slot away from them by helping Kirishima convince Bakugo.

"..." Bakugo stayed silent after hearing that. As much as he'd hate to admit it, Red Hair had a point. Bakugo put some thought into the idea of recruiting Habanero and imagined using her quirk to corral opponents and control where they move. On one hand, she'd definitely be willing to take down IcyHot with him, however, he couldn't say the same if he decided to go after Deku. Bakugo didn't want to deal with Habanero's complaining but he also didn't want to deal with Habanero's stupid fire. The more he thought about it the more he wondered how much he could handle during both situations. He quickly shut the idea down in his head. Besides, it's not like Habanero wouldn't team up with Deku.

"She's not joining my team. Besides, she'll probably be teaming with Deku anyway." Bakugo said, expecting the twins to stick together.

"Actually, about that. I don't think she and Midoriya are teaming up after all." Kirishima said, catching Bakugo's attention.

"The hell are you talking about?" Bakugo questioned him, raising an eyebrow.

"See, look." Kirishima said, pointing at Ami. Bakugo stared at Habanero and squinted his eyes. He looked at her and noticed how slow she was walking, slightly confusing him.

"She's not teaming with her brother? That's surprising. I thought she would." Mina said, looking at Ami.

"Anyone else see how slow she's walking?" Sero asked, taking notice of her speed.

"Hey, Ami! Hey!" Mina called out to her, getting no reaction from Ami at all.

"Ami, you okay?" Sero shouted, getting no response from Ami.

"Huh. That's strange? She's ignoring us."

"Maybe she's in a bad mood?" Kirishima guessed.

"I wonder why?" Mina asked sarcastically, glancing at Bakugo. Bakugo noticed Raccoon Eyes staring at him and glared back at her.

"Why are you looking at me?" Bakugo questioned, shouting at her.

"Well, we did have to stop you from murdering her after the obstacle race." Sero reminded him, remembering reaching the stadium with Kirishima and immediately running to their friend's aid.

"That was her own damn fault for grabbing onto me!" Bakugo shouted.

"Well something's the matter with her?"

"Hey, Bakugo. I'll go see if I can get her attention." Kirishima said. Before he could run off towards her, Bakugo raised his arm and grabbed Kirishima's sleeve.

"Hey." Kirishima complained, trying to get Bakugo's hand off his sleeve.

"Get out of my way. I'll handle this." Bakugo said, surprising everyone.

"You?" Mina asked.

"I don't think that's a very good idea." Sero said, watching Bakugo walk towards Ami.

"Well, I guess it makes sense he's the one to recruit her. They are childhood friends, right?" Kirishima mentioned, straightening the crease on his sleeve. Bakugo walked over to Habanero without any care as to how it looked. He didn't care if they thought he was going to recruit her, what he really wanted to know was why she wasn't working with her brother.

"Hey, Habanero." Bakugo called out to her, watching her make no effort to turn around. Bakugo stood there menacingly and crossed his arms. He raised an eyebrow and grunted, irritated by the lack of a response from Habanero. Bakugo turned around and glanced back at Kirishima, Mina, and Sero, making sure they were far enough away to not hear him.

"You're not with Deku? Why's that? Is it because of One For All?" Bakugo asked, narrowing his eyes at her. The best guess he had at the moment for her not being with Deku was because of One For All. He stood there with his glare and once again received no reaction from Ami at all.

"The hell is her problem?" Bakugo wondered, thinking to himself.

"Habanero! Are you ignoring me?" Bakugo questioned, watching Ami continue to walk away slowly. Bakugo examined her movements and noticed how strange it looked. She wasn't walking like normal, it seemed more like she was dragging invisible chains on the ground with each step.

"Grrrr. The hell's the matter with you?" Bakugo thought, getting fed up with her.

"Habanero!" Bakugo shouted, calling her name out loud. Habanero continued to ignore his voice, pissing him off even more. Bakugo felt veins bulging out of his forehead, watching Ami slowly walk away from him. Kirishima squinted his eyes and watched Ami walk away with confusion. Something was definitely off about her.

"Are you kidding me, Habanero? What? You're not talking to me anymore, is that it?" Bakugo shouted, feeling his blood start to boil.

"Habanero, I'm talking to you. Hey!" Bakugo shouted, approaching Ami. Kirishima watched Bakugo approach Ami and decided to step in.

"Whoa. Bakugo, wait!" Kirishima said, running up to and grabbing onto Bakugo's shoulder.

"Don't do anything destructive, man." Kirishima recommended.

"Shut up. Get your hand off me." Bakugo barked, yanking his hand off his sleeve. Anger and annoyed frustration filled his head as he approached Habanero. If she thought she could get away with ignoring him then she'd have another thing coming.

"Habanero! What the hell's wrong with you?" Bakugo shouted, getting right up behind Habanero. Despite his shadow appearing behind Habanero's shoulder, she made no indication of stopping.

"That's it." Bakugo thought, having enough of Habanero's bullshit. Bakugo leapt forward and forced himself in front of Habanero. He snarled angrily and grabbed hold of her wrist in frustration. He stood there and blocked Habanero's path, forcing her to stop.

"Damnit, Habanero. Why the hell are you- Huh? What the hell?" Bakugo said, staring into Habanero's eyes. Bakugo immediately noticed the shape of her eyes and stopped short of finishing his sentence. Her eyes had no color to them at all. A black circular outline of her eye surrounded by a strange looking fog was all he could see in her eyes. Bakugo stared into her strange eyes and was at a loss of words. They were different. The expression on her face almost looked like shock to him. Bakugo stared at her and said nothing, dropping his glare and leaving his mouth open mid sentence.

Bakugo knew what her eyes looked like. And right now, they weren't her eyes at all anymore. Something was off and it wasn't her fault. Someone was doing something to her.

Ami stopped her slow walk and stood silently in front of the confused Bakugo, raising her head up. She stared up at Bakugo and noticed the hand tightly squeezing her wrist. She made eye contact with him and saw the confused state Bakugo was in. Within two seconds of contact, Ami realized he was standing between her and her destination. Just then, something snapped inside her mind.

"Kacchan?" Ami asked, tilting her head in confusion. She realized her path was blocked. In an instant, the color returned to her eyes. Ami jolted and cringed, hearing the stadium audience at full volume again. She stumbled a bit, grabbing onto her forehead in confusion.

Bakugo stared at her and watched the color return to her eyes and face and grew more confused. Whatever she was caught in seemed to have stopped after he got in front of her. Ami raised her left hand and rubbed the side of her head, feeling her senses fully return to her.

"What? What happened to me? Why am I here?" Ami thought, trying to remember what happened to her. The thought was easier said than done. Ami tried to think about how she got herself in the situation and remembered the purple haired teen from before. Even stranger, his name escaped her mind. She squinted, feeling the bright sun in her eyes. Her eyes had adjusted to the dark fog so seeing the sun again had blinded her. She weakly opened them and noticed the person standing in front of her.

"K-Kacchan?" Ami stuttered, surprised to see him appear out of nowhere. Ami stared at him in surprise. She didn't know how he got there, but she was strangely glad it was him. Bakugo looked at her with a confused look and shook his head, returning to his senses.

"Habanero. The hell happened?" Bakugo asked, getting Ami's attention. Bakugo wanted to say something else to her but the utter panic in her face had surprised him.

"Kacchan? But how did you-no...How did I?" Ami stared at Bakugo's eyes with visible panic. She turned her head and looked around the field, realizing she had reached the opposite side without knowing.

"That was terrifying…But why was I walking? Where was I going?" Ami mentally questioned herself, unable to understand what happened to her. Bakugo stared at her mumbling to herself in a freaked out tone and said nothing. It didn't take a genius to see that she was scared out of her mind.

"What happened to me?" Ami asked, raising her hands. She suddenly felt a pressure on her right arm and looked down. Amidst the panicked feelings going through her mind, her face went red upon seeing the hand holding tightly onto her wrist. Now she was even more confused.

Bakugo saw her face get red and looked down. His eyes widened upon realizing that he still had his hand tightly holding on to her wrist. He felt embarrassed that he didn't notice he was still squeezing her wrist.

"Shit." Bakugo thought, mentally cursing himself. The strange trance-like state Habanero was in had caused Bakugo to forget his own actions. He pretended not to care and quickly let go of Habanero, returning his hand to his side. Ami felt the pressure release off her wrist and saw her wrist was red from Bakugo squeezing too tightly. She rubbed her wrist with her left hand, feeling embarrassed and afraid.

"Why were your eyes like that, Habanero?" Bakugo asked, returning to the topic. She stared up at Bakugo and noticed he was just as confused as she was. She grit her teeth and tried to remember something but no matter what she did, she just couldn't.

"I...I don't know. Why is it so hard to remember?" She admitted, questioning herself. She tried to think about what happened, but only bits and pieces floated through her mind. She tried to make sense of it all but failed.

Ami shook her head in confusion and glanced over Bakugo's shoulder. Looking past his shoulder, Ami squinted her eyes at the person standing and staring at her in the distance. Upon looking at him, a flood of memories came rushing through her head. The encounter she had with the purple haired teen from General Studies flashed in her mind.

"My name is Hitoshi Shinso and I intend to win this match." His voice rang out through her head.

Ami clutched her head again and felt her breathing get fast again. The intensely claustrophobic feelings she felt during her experience of being a prisoner in her own body caused her mind to freak out. A chill went down her spine as she saw the person she talked to from before. The dead stare he had on his face and the disappointment strewn across his face had sent her mind into panic again. She couldn't explain it, but she had to get away from there. Taking a huge gulp and clenching her fists, Ami glanced back at Bakugo with frightened eyes that easily caught his attention.

"I-I'm sorry, Kacchan. I-I have to go." Ami said, making one last glance at the purple haired teen in the distance. Ami didn't want to leave Bakugo without saying something to him but the fear she felt kept her from saying any more. Wasting zero time, she took a step back and bolted off towards the opposite direction. Bakugo was caught off guard by Habanero's response and just stood there watching her leave in silence. A few seconds after her exit, Kirishima, Sero, and Mina came running up to Bakugo.

"Bakugo, what happened?" Kirishima asked, walking up beside him with concern plastered on his face.

"Is Ami alright? She looked really freaked out about something." Sero questioned, showing concern for Habanero.

"Yeah, what'd you say to her?" Mina asked, assuming it was his fault. Bakugo glared at the implication and shook his head.

"I didn't say anything. Habanero's fine. Just confused, that's all." Bakugo said, watching Habanero run off towards the opposite direction. Bakugo watched her run away and noticed she was moving normally again. Whatever that was, whatever it did to her, it seemed like it wasn't going to affect her anymore. As he stood there, he thought about what Habanero said to him before running off.

"I- I'm sorry, Kacchan. I-I have to go." Ami panicked, running off towards the opposite direction. Bakugo scrutinized the recent memory in his head, thinking about the panicked look on her face and the freaked out tone of her voice. He noticed her eyes were fixated on something or someone and realized she had to have seen the person who did that to her before she ran off. Which meant only one thing to Bakugo.

"Someone's quirk did this? But who's?" Bakugo thought, not wanting to see that stupid ghostly expression on her face anymore. His thoughts were quickly interrupted by a disappointed Kirishima who facepalmed.

"Aw crap. Ami ran away. We forgot to ask her if she wanted to join." Kirishima said, shaking his head.

"Hmph. Whatever. If she doesn't want to join, then it's her funeral." Bakugo said, quickly changing the topic. He narrowed his eyes once more and examined all the other students on the field. Without turning around, he called out to Mina and Sero.

"Scotch tape. Raccoon Eyes. You're in." Bakugo said, pointing at himself.

"Scotch tape?" Sero repeated, caught off guard by the name.

"Raccoon Eyes?" Mina repeated, showing offense. Bakugo rolled his eyes and ignored their offended reactions, keeping his eyes towards the other students.

Standing off in the distance. The purple haired teen from General Studies stared at Ami making a run for it towards the opposite direction and frowned. He sighed and gripped onto his forehead, groaning in annoyance and disappointment. He wasn't very happy at how that had turned out.

Looking at the purple haired teen walking away in annoyance, Bakugo caught sight of him watching Habanero and raised an eyebrow. It didn't take long for him to reach a conclusion.

"You." Bakugo thought, guessing the culprit of Habanero's trance-like state. Whatever he did to her, he'd have to make sure to watch out for him. Fortunately for the purple haired teen, he wasn't the target. Bakugo kept his eyes on the purple haired teen and made sure he didn't go near Habanero. His justification for doing so was that if he was going to destroy her in this battle, then he'd rather do it against the real Habanero and not one on a leash.

"Damn it. That overly aggressive maniac broke her out of my quirk. I'm gonna have to find someone else now to join my team." Shinso groaned, mumbling to himself.

"Pardonnez-moi, mademoiselle. Could I join your team, please?" Aoyama asked, nervously. The grip he had on his stomach unsettled the 2-person team he approached from Class 1-B. The girl looked at Aoyama and shook her head, denying his request. The General Studies student watched Aoyama handle the rejection less than gracefully and put a hand on his chin.

"He'll have to do as her replacement." The purple haired teen thought, making his decision. He made his choice and approached the nervous teen, preparing his voice once more.

Ami rushed off to the other side of the field again. Her mind was in a state of panic. After gaining some distance from where she was. She stopped herself and took deep breaths. She did some breathing exercises and slowly took control of her breathing again.

"I can't believe I panicked and ran away." Ami thought to herself.

"Scratch that. I can't believe that happened." Ami thought, returning to her senses.

"How much time has passed anyway?" Ami wondered, looking at the countdown on the jumbotron. Her eyes bulged at the number.

"WHAT?! IT'S BEEN TEN MINUTES ALREADY?" Ami internally shouted, her jaw hitting the floor.

"How long was I under that Shinso guy's quirk? What am I gonna do? Everyone probably has their teams built already." Ami panicked once more, running her hands through her hair.

"Look around. Is there anyone available?" Ami thought, getting hold of herself. She surveyed the field and saw most of the groups had formed and were in mid discussion. Even Izuku had a group together. She looked for anyone she could find in her line of sight and couldn't tell if people were teamed up or not. Most of the groups were starting to clump together again. Ami prayed to find someone she could join and noticed one person all alone.

"You've gotta be kidding me." Ami sighed, staring at the sad purple pervert that was Mineta. Ami looked at the sad teen and felt bad for him. He still didn't have anyone on his team. Ami shook her head and took a deep breath. She had no choice. Ami hesitated going over to him several times but knew there wasn't any option left. She narrowed her eyes and kept focus on Mineta, putting away her personal opinions of him.

"He may be perverted but he did almost get Todoroki in the obstacle race." Ami thought, thinking of his capability.

"I can't believe I still haven't found a team to join. What am I going to do?" Mineta asked himself, unsure of who to go to now. He started thinking of all the choices left and thought about the possibility.

"Maybe Shoji will join my team if I can somehow convince him?" Mineta thought, strategizing. While he was strategizing, he didn't notice the footsteps walking over to him. It wasn't until his small form was caught in a sudden shade.

"Huh?" Mineta said, seeing the ground beneath him darken.

"Mm…mm." Ami coughed, making her presence known. Ami's towering presence cast a shadow down on Mineta who was surprised to see her.

"Ami? Is this what I think it is?" Mineta asked, praying.

"It pains me to say this but…I'll join your team." Ami said, crossing her arms. Mineta heard Ami's words and gasped. He shot up off the ground and clasped his hands together, believing it was too good to be true.

"R-really?" Mineta asked, not sure whether he was dreaming.

"Yes. Really. I don't have anyone else to pick and well, I guess it's better to team with people you know." Ami said, slightly ashamed this was what she was resorting to.

"Yes! Thank you, Ami. Thank you!" Mineta said, dropping to his knees and bowing.

"Think on the positive side, Ami. Tons of female pro heroes have crazy stalkers. If I can handle Mineta, then I can handle them." Ami thought, attempting to be optimistic about this team up.

"But. I have two conditions." Ami said, raising two of her fingers up.

"Conditions?" Mineta repeated, hoping they weren't anything demeaning.

"Mhm. If you want me on this team, then I suggest you follow them." Ami demanded.

"Okay, sure. Whatever you want." Mineta agreed, rapidly nodding his head.

"Condition one: I'm not teaming up with just you. We need to find one or two more people if you want this to work." Ami said, clearly.

"Uh-huh. Got it. Definitely." Mineta nodded, carelessly agreeing to her terms.

"And for my second condition. And I want this one followed, you hear me?" Ami asked, glaring at Mineta.

"What. What is it?" Mineta asked.

"Condition two: If I catch you staring at my ass or, worse, feel you touching me anywhere on my body, I will light you on fire. Do you understand?" Ami threatened, glaring at Mineta with anger in her voice. Staring at her was uncomfortable enough, but after finding out Mineta made it to the top 42 by hitchhiking on Yaoyorozu's back, she wasn't going to take any chances with him. Mineta stared up at Ami and saw the fire in her eyes had gotten bigger, causing him to gulp. Ami continued glaring at him, causing Mineta to act with honesty.

"Yes, Ma'am." Mineta yelped, promising not to look.

"Good. Do we have a deal?" Ami asked, receiving a nod.

"Alright then. Let's be teammates." Ami nodded, extending her hand out. Mineta looked at the hand apprehensively and then looked up at her. The face he gave her made her sigh in defeat.

"You can shake my hand." Ami clarified, causing Mineta to sigh in relief.

"Oh, yes." Mineta said, shaking her hand with both hands. Ami stared at him with disturbed wide eyes, watching him seemingly worship his own hands. Ami quickly pulled her hand away from him and stood up straight, choosing to pretend she didn't see that.

"Okay, so, is there anyone who can join our team?" Ami asked, looking at the rest of the groups.

"I have the perfect target." Mineta claimed, raising his fists.

"Who?" Ami asked, raising an eye at the small teen.

"Shoji!" Mineta shouted, getting his attention. Shoji had wandered around the groups in search of allies and considered working with a group in Class 1-B but he was met with rejection. None of the Class 1-B students seemed to want to team up with a student in Class 1-A. So when he heard the sound of Mineta calling out to him, he should've guessed no one would want to be on his team.

"Please be my partner!" Mineta said, trying to be confident. Shoji glared down at him and said nothing to the purple pervert. He was aware of his antics through word of mouth. He didn't know the purple pervert very well, but he didn't really want to anyway. Shoji didn't bother replying to him and simply turned back around, causing Mineta to frown.

"Seriously?" Mineta mumbled, feeling rejected. Shoji turned around and was about to walk away until he noticed the green haired girl standing in front of him with her arms crossed. Shoji looked at her and immediately knew it was Ami. He was confused to see her looking at him with a slightly embarrassed expression.

"Hey. Could you at least hear him out?" Ami asked, politely. The request caused Shoji to raise an eye at her. He stared at her for a few seconds puzzled and replied.

"Are you on his team?" Shoji asked, causing Ami to cringe. She took a deep breath and sighed.

"Unfortunately." Ami said, sighing.

"That's surprising." Shoji commented, watching as Ami hid her face in embarrassment. Seeing that Mineta somehow got a girl on his team was enough to change his mind. He decided if Mineta could get Ami on his team, then maybe he might be worth hearing out.

"I'm listening." Shoji said, turning around and looking down at Mineta with multiple arms crossed.

"Here's what I got. With me as a rider, you can use your huge body and those tentacles to cover me completely so that nobody takes my headband." Mineta explained. Shoji understood his logic in that plan and nodded in understanding. Mineta was the shortest in the class which meant having the tallest in the class on his side to cover would make it harder to get his headbands stolen. The only thing he wasn't sure about was how Ami fit into Mineta's plan.

"And Ami?" Shoji inquired.

"Ami covers the rear and sets the ground on fire behind us. With her watching out for blind spots no one will be able to reach my headband." Mineta explained, getting a nod from Shoji. Ami stared at Mineta with actual surprise. She didn't expect to hear such a surprisingly thought out plan from him of all people. Then again, this was the same person who almost captured Todoroki with his sticky ball things.

"Wow, that's actually not bad, Mineta." Ami blurted out. Mineta heard her praise and mentally congratulated himself. Score one for Mineta. Shoji nodded at Mineta's plan. He had to admit, it was a good idea.

"It'd be easier to cover you as the horse if the two of you are on my back. I can form extra eyes on my appendages so I'll be able to have a nearly 360 degree view of incoming attackers." Shoji explained.

"If anyone gets close, I'll loosen my arms on my left or right side and Ami can safely use her fire through an opening and hold back potential attackers. That should allow us to get away much more easily." Shoji strategized.

"That sounds perfect. So, are you in, Shoji?" Mineta asked.

"I guess so." Shoji answered, nodding in confirmation. Mineta celebrated Shoji accepting the offer while Ami cracked a grin. At least she wasn't gonna be alone on a team with him now.

"Alright. I guess we just wait for the games to start now?" Ami assumed, receiving nods.

"Actually, I'd like to join, too, if you don't mind?" Tsu said, approaching from behind Ami. Ami turned around and saw Tsu appear from nowhere. She was surprised to hear her request.

"I definitely don't mind." Mineta said, raising his hand.

"Hey, Tsu. You don't have a partner, yet?" Ami greeted, turning to look at the frog girl.

"Yup. Ribbit. I got unlucky and couldn't find anyone. I tried to join up with some of the students in Class 1-B but they didn't seem to want me, either." Tsu explained.

"Same here." Shoji said.

"Guess the 1-B students aren't exactly fond of us?" Ami commented.

"Looks like it."

"Well. No sense in worrying about it now." Ami sighed, glancing at Tsu with a welcoming smile, "Welcome to the team, Tsu." Ami smiled.

"Thanks. Ribbit." Tsu said, smiling back at her. In the back, Mineta was having the time of his life.

"This is amazing. Ami and Asui are both on my team. My harem is finally forming." Mineta thought, drooling at the thought of being on the same team with Ami and Tsu. Off towards the opposite side of the field, Class 1-B had formed several various groups. While most of them were in teams of four, there were a few that were missing 1 or 2 members. Once the teams had formed up, they gathered together and started planning out their attacks. One group had already made their plan. That group's leader was a blond with eyes that had crazy behind them. His teammates all stared at him as he made his speech about Class 1-A.

"Almost everyone in the audience is foaming at the mouth for Class 1-A. Why is that? They're so full of themselves. Just like Tetsutetsu said earlier. Why are they stars? The only difference between us and them is that they fought a couple of villains. Just because we're Class 1-B doesn't mean we're second rate or can't win this whole thing. So, let's step it up and show those jerks what we can do. Are ya with me?" The menacing blond said, hyping up his teammates. Now was their chance in the spotlight. They were not going to get stepped on by Class 1-A.

BRRRRR

"Oh, goody. It's time to get this party started." Midnight said, stretching her arm out. Present Mic smiled, staring down at the excited audience members and glanced at Aizawa. The heavily bandaged co-host was currently sleeping on the job.

"Hey, hey. Look alive!" Present Mic said, patting Aizawa's shoulder. Aizawa grumbled in his seat, waking up from his short nap. He slowly shifted his eyes open, lightly glaring at the excited host that awakened him. He looked down at the field and noticed the timer was up. He looked at all the students on the field and searched for all of his students in the crowd.

"After 15 minutes to pick teammates and talk strategy, twelve cavalry teams are preparing to go head-to-head!" Present Mic announced. Aizawa finished doing a headcount of his students in the crowd and was surprised to see several students teaming up for the cavalry battle. He was pleasantly surprised to see the Midoriya twins weren't working together for this battle.

"I see some unexpected student combinations." Aizawa commented, just loud enough for the stadium to hear.

"Come on, everyone get your hands in the air! It's time for an arena-thumping UA battle royale! Let me hear ya scream!" Present Mic shouted, turning the stadium into an uproar of shouts and applause. Down in the field, Todoroki stared ahead and looked at the three students he had recruited to his side.

"I chose the three of you because I believe we'll make for the most stable formation possible. Kaminari's our left wing. He can use his quirk to keep enemies at bay." Todoroki explained, getting a thumbs up from Kaminari.

"Yaoyorozu, you'll take the right wing. Focus on insulation and defense." He ordered, getting a nod back.

"Iida, you'll take the front. We'll rely on you for mobility and physical defense." Todoroki finished. Iida nodded in understanding, He stared at Todoroki and guessed what he had in mind for himself.

"And you'll be attacking and creating diversions of ice and fire. Is that right?" Iida assumed.

"Not quite." Todoroki answered, staring off at the hero stands. At the very top of the hero stands stood a tall hulking figure that matched All Might in muscle size. The tall muscular hero stared down at the field with arms crossed. Though they were a huge distance apart, their eyes seemed to make contact. The fire covering the muscular hero's shoulders flared up upon seeing Todoroki. The man didn't make a sound and let his expression do the talking. Even Todoroki could see the disappointedly grumpy frown on the hero's face. Todoroki narrowed his eyes at him and glared at the man. He could tell the man was not impressed with him at the moment. That was a good sign for the teen. It meant his efforts to anger him were working. Glancing back at Iida, he explained his reasoning.

"When I'm in battle..." He said, clenching his fists and repressing his anger, "I never use my left side."

After the timer had gone off, one member of each group approached the center where Midnight stood and wrote in the names of members on their team. Ami put down her teammates' names into a small machine on the stage and heard the machine print out a headband. The headband dropped out of the bottom of the machine like soda in a vending machine. She grabbed her team's headband and walked back to their group. She stared at the headband in her hands and gripped it tightly, reading off the number in her head.

"615. A lot of points for one group. Hopefully we can manage to keep it that high." Ami hoped, narrowing her eyes.

"Once the battle starts, it won't be too surprising if anyone were to come after us." Ami thought, returning to her group that was patiently waiting. Mineta noticed Ami along with the headband in her hands and smiled deviously, wiping his hands together in excitement.

"Let's see that number." Mineta said, wiping his hands. Ami looked at the purple pervert with a confused frown and handed the headband over to him.

"Try not to lose it, okay?" Ami warned, handing the headband over to Mineta's excited hands. Mineta grinned and looked down at the headband in his hands and read the three digit number written in bold. He stared at the number and realized how high it was, causing the small teen to tense up.

"Woah, 615 points." Mineta blurted out in astonishment. Mineta knew he scored big getting Ami on his team. Her spot in 4th place gave them 195 points. A large number by itself. Mineta held the headband in his hands and gulped, the pressure was on. He shook his head and put on a brave face, remembering his reason for being a hero. He can't look scared in front of the ladies. He smirked and put the headband on and faced his group, looking prepared for war.

"Alright, team. Assume positions!" Mineta ordered, holding it together. Ami, Tsu, and Shoji nodded at his order, readying themselves for the cavalry battle.

"It'll be a little cramped with the three of you, but it shouldn't affect my performance." Shoji said, kneeling down. Shoji got into position and waited for his teammates to hop on. He reeled his arms back and raised them high into the air, expanding his appendages as far as he could go.

"Hop on." Shoji ordered. Ami stayed back and watched as Mineta and Tsu climbed aboard onto Shoji's back. She felt a little nervous about climbing onto Shoji's back, even if it was part of their plan. Ami stared at Shoji's back and raised her eyes in realization. She never noticed how huge Shoji was until now. Getting into position, Tsu looked down at Ami and extended her hand out.

"Need a hand? Ribbit." Tsu offered, holding her hand out. Ami snapped out of her thoughts and stared at Tsu's hand. She thanked her and smiled in appreciation, accepting Tsu's hand. Ami took a deep breath and climbed aboard, getting into position on Shoji's back. Shoji felt the weight begin to add on to him and quickly adjusted his strength.

"Everyone on?" Shoji asked, forming an eye on one of his appendages. Ami saw the eyeball staring down at the three of them and felt a little disturbed by the eye. Ami knew Shoji was capable of making body parts on his appendages but seeing them form was a little creepy. The three heard Shoji's question and gave him a thumbs up, staring at the eyeball.

"Are you sure you're gonna be fine carrying all three of us, Shoji?" Ami asked, concerned about the weight of all three of them possibly slowing down Shoji. Shoji lowered his eyes and kept them halfway open.

"I don't know, can a 6'2 man with six arms carry two girls and a pipsqueak?" Shoji asked. Ami raised an amused eyebrow at him and nodded.

"Alright, good point." Ami nodded, smirking at him, "Good luck, Shoji." Ami said, wishing him luck as their lone horse.

"Right." Shoji replied, encasing the three students on his back inside a six-armed barrier. Ami watched the arms close together and felt a little nervous. She clenched her fists and took deep breaths to calm herself down. This was no time to be claustrophobic now. Outside, Shoji lifted his head up and slowly stood up, keeping his body slightly bent forward in order to carry the three people hiding in his skin. To the group's closest to them, they raised their eyes at Shoji's massive arms. The arms containing his teammates looked like a massive backpack made of skin. He tensed his muscles and started to walk, causing his teammates to grab on to him tightly.

Off in the faculty stands, All Might and the teachers watched as the groups formed up and started getting into positions. With the teams all separated, he got a good view of every student on the field. Raising his hand up, he blocked the sun from reaching his eyes and scanned the battlefield. He easily found Izuku's group and grinned.

"Looks like young Midoriya found a good selection of teammates." All Might thought, grinning to himself.

"But how 'bout Ami?" All Might thought, scanning around for any sign of Ami. The grin on his face quickly turned into confusion when he realized there was only one twin in sight. He leaned back in silence and scanned the battlefield again, looking for Izuku's sister.

"Where'd Ami go?" All Might questioned, wishing he'd paid more attention to the group formation. Across the way, Backdraft and the stoic hero sitting next to him stared down at the stadium watching the twins. They had lost track of Ami for a short while before finding her again next to the blond she tried rescuing from the Sludge Villain. The two heroes both raised their eyes in suspicion when Ami ran as fast as she could away from the blond. They didn't really know what was going on but, seeing her body language from so far away, it looked like Ami was afraid of something. The two heroes were a little concerned for what could've frightened her so bad but assumed it was from nerves. By the time the countdown ended, the two heroes watched as the twins retrieved their headbands from the center and returned to their teammates.

"Huh. They aren't working together on this one?" Backdraft questioned, raising his head up. He put his pipe arm on his chin and started thinking. The stoic faced hero next to him heard his observation and agreed.

"Strange. You'd think they'd team up for the cavalry battle instead of the obstacle race?" The stoic hero questioned, wondering what the twins were doing.

"She's probably thinking about what it looks like from our point of view." Backdraft guessed, putting himself in her shoes.

"Think so?" The stoic hero asked, glancing at the firefighter.

"Possibly. They made a good impression showing off their teamwork as siblings. But they're probably separating on this one so they can show off how well they work with others." Backdraft theorized, receiving a nod from the stoic hero.

"Hmm. Guess that makes sense. It's easy to team up with blood instead of complete strangers. Even if you go pro as twin heroes, there's still going to be times where you get separated. If you can't work alone or with strangers, then being a hero will be a lot harder." The stoic hero said, focusing his attention towards the girl's brother, "Especially for a kid with no powers." He said, interested to see how this would turn out.

"Okay, all you first years! I hope you're happy with your chosen teams!" Present Mic announced, receiving cheers from the crowd. Shoji looked up at the stadium and felt the pressure rising. He'd have to go all out on this one as the lone horse.

"Who are we going after first?" Shoji asked, staring at the groups near him.

"Midoriya, of course." Mineta ordered. Shoji complied and darted his eyes across the field, staring at Izuku. Ami heard Mineta's order and quickly protested, shaking her head at the idea.

"I don't think that's a good idea." Ami blurted out, getting Mineta to scoff.

"You're just saying that because he's your brother." Mineta said, poking his head out of the hole in Shoji's arms.

"He's got 10,000,000 points, remember?" Mineta reminded her.

"Of course I remember. But won't everyone be going after him, too? We'll get caught up in that pile if we charge towards Izzy." Ami pointed out, forcing Mineta to rethink the plan.

"She's right." Shoji said, agreeing with Ami's words. He looked at the groups near him and noticed their eyes were all focused on one group only. Midoriya's group. Mineta peeked back inside Shoji's arms and stared at Ami.

"Alright. Fine. How about this? We let them dogpile Midoriya. Then instead of going after the 10,000,000 we grab the other group's headbands?" Mineta suggested. Ami thought about the new plan and slowly nodded. It made sense.

"That seems fine." Ami said, agreeing with the plan.

"Wait. You wanna use my brother as bait?" Ami asked, concerned.

"Exactly." Mineta replied, proud of himself. Ami thought about the idea of using her brother as bait and sighed. The promise she made to herself echoed through her mind. She wouldn't lose to anyone. Even if it was against her brother.

"Alright. But the other groups aren't exactly going to let us grab their headbands so easily. How do you plan on getting them?" Ami questioned, getting Mineta to think again. He put a finger on his lips and hummed, thinking up a plan in his head. He glanced at Ami and then back at Tsu. He stared at Tsu and narrowed his eyes at her mouth. He remembered the USJ and how she used her tongue to pick him up. He then remembered how much pain he felt getting slapped by her tongue. Thinking about how she used her tongue gave Mineta an idea. A lightbulb went off in his head as he formulated his new plan.

"I've got it! Tsu, remind me! How far does your tongue go again?" Mineta asked, causing a small blush to form on the girl's face. Ami raised an eyebrow at Mineta's question and grimaced, glaring at him with anger.

"Ribbit?" Tsu said, tilting her head in confusion. She should've seen that one coming.

"This better not be perverted, Mineta!" Ami threatened, clenching her fists.

"No, it's not. I swear!" Mineta defended himself, waving his arms up. Tsu and Ami glanced at each other, unsure what he was planning.

"Well, it's like I told you and Midoriya at the Flood Zone. I can extend my tongue about twenty meters." Tsu explained, causing Ami's eyes to burst out.

"T-t-t-twenty meters?" Ami asked, a little disturbed. Tsu glanced back at her and nodded, the feeling of dejavu hitting her. The exchange reminded her of the Flood Zone, only with a different Midoriya this time, and Mineta was doing the planning. That definitely felt wrong in her mind.

"That's hot." Mineta thought, shaking his head of impure thoughts. He put his head back into the plan and covered his blush so Ami wouldn't see.

"Right. Here's what I got." Mineta said, discussing the new plan with the team. Ami and Tsu listened to Mineta's plan and nodded. Shoji formed an ear on one of his appendages and listened in on Mineta's plan, nodding his head in agreement.

"Let's get this party started! One final countdown before the game starts!" Present Mic shouted, converting the stadium into a loud uproar.

"Three!"

"Get 'em." Bakugo said, cracking his knuckles in preparation. He felt himself get into that sadistic mindset at the thought of dominating everyone.

Two!"

"He's ours." Todoroki said, staring at Izuku's group with a cold glare. He was absolutely sure of his plan and of his teammates abilities.

One!" Present Mic shouted.

"First place here we come!" Mineta shouted, poking his head over Shoji's shoulder.

"Get back in here!" Ami said, pulling Mineta back in the arm barrier.

"Begin!" Midnight shouted. The groups instantly shot off upon hearing Midnight. Shoji kept his eyes focused on the groups near him and watched as they all ignored their team.

"They're going for Midoriya." Shoji said.

"Don't just stand there, Shoji. After them!" Mineta shouted, getting Shoji to tense up. He stared down at the charging groups and flexed his muscles. He waited for the other groups to get closer to Midoriya until all of their backs were facing them. Once they did, Shoji immediately sprang into action. The added weight of two girls and a small teen did nothing to slow him down. He's lifted heavier weights than all of them combined.

The three teens gripped onto Shoji as he bolted across the battlefield, quickly catching up to the other groups. He made sure none of them were paying any attention to them. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Midoriya's group and noticed they were sinking into the ground like quicksand. He raised an eye at the action and shrugged, ignoring them for now.

"What do you see, Shoji?" Mineta asked, staring out at the battlefield through the window in Shoji's front.

"The teams are well made but there are openings. Tell Tsu to get ready." Shoji ordered, receiving a nod from Mineta.

"Uh huh." Mineta nodded, walking back into Shoji's arm barrier. Mineta was so short that he was the only one able to stand at full height inside Shoji's barrier.

"He said there's openings. Get ready, Tsu." Mineta explained, pounding his fist with his other hand. Tsu nodded and crawled forward, reaching the open view on Shoji's neck.

"We're coming up to a group now."

"I'm ready." Tsu said, getting into position.

"Good." Shoji replied.

"Who's our target?" Ami asked, peeking out the front on Shoji's right side.

"Hagakure." Shoji answered.

"Oh, Invisible girl. That floating headband really sticks out." Ami said, getting a view of Hagakure's group. She saw Sato, Koda, and that earphone girl on Hagakure's team. A person she had learned was named Jiro. Ami stared up at the floating headband on top of the horses and noticed the small blushes on the runners. She quickly remembered how Hagakure's quirk worked on clothes and figured it out.

"I know right?" Mineta agreed, staring at Hagakure's group. As expected, he was insanely jealous of Hagakure's teammates.

"We're right behind her group now." Tsu said, getting Ami and Mineta to shuffle back in Shoji's barrier.

"Alright. Let's get that headband!" Mineta shouted, inside the barrier.

Shoji and Tsu stared at Hagakure's group and silently prepared. Tsu saw the floating headband atop the half-naked invisible girl and slowly slipped her tongue out in anticipation. From below, Shoji saw the tongue fly out above his head and watched as it slowly made its way to Hagakure's group. But before they could get close enough to the headband, a loud blast interrupted Tsu's concentration. The sound distracted her, causing her to slip her tongue back into her mouth.

"What was that?" Mineta asked, hearing the loud bang from inside the barrier.

"Sounds like Kacchan. Did he already blow up a team?" Ami questioned.

"What's going on?" Mineta asked, poking his head out the front again.

"Midoriya has a jetpack." Shoji said, completely caught by surprise. Ami's eyes widened at the sentence, causing her to spring into action.

"What?" Ami asked, poking her head out the front, too.

"No way." Ami said in disbelief. She got a view of the battlefield and looked up into the sky, causing her jaw to drop.

"Whoa." Ami said, awestruck. To her surprise, Izuku and his teammates were up in the sky.

"Isn't using items against the rules? Where the heck did he get that?" Mineta asked.

"He's teamed up with that crazy pink haired girl from the support course." Shoji said.

"That explains the jetpack." Tsu said, watching them in awe.

"Wow. It looks like the jetpack Air Jet uses!" Ami exclaimed, watching Izuku fly. Hearing the name caused several eyes to glance towards Ami, expecting to hear an explanation.

"Who?"

"The Buster Hero: Air Jet. His Agency's not very far so Me and Izzy went on a tour there one time." Ami explained, reminiscing about the past. They continued watching Izuku's team fly in the air and watched as Hagakure's team attempted to swipe at Izuku with Jiro's earphone jacks. Ami smiled upon seeing Dark Shadow appear and protect his team from the earphones.

"They've got Tokoyami, too." Tsu said.

"How did Midoriya get so lucky getting a team like that?" Mineta whined. His teammates all heard his whining and pretended not to get offended by the subtle jab at them. Shoji stared at Hagakure's group and noticed they weren't paying attention to their surroundings once again.

"Hagakure's wide open. Now or never, Tsu." Shoji said.

"Right." Tsu said, readying herself.

"Good luck, Tsu." Ami said, watching Tsu launch her tongue towards their target. Tsu concentrated and fired off her tongue towards the floating headband, this time reaching the target.

Hagakure's team were caught off guard by team Midoroya's flying act and attempted to attack. After failing to get the headband, Hagakure clenched her fists in frustration and flailed her body around. Getting it together, she looked down at her teammates and gave them orders.

"They're not that far away! C'mon, Jiro! Full speed ahead!" Hagakure shouted, pointing towards victory with an invisible hand. Sato glanced up at Hagakure for a split second and quickly noticed something was missing. His eyes widened when he realized what it was.

"Hey, Hagakure! Your headband's gone!" Sato shouted in disbelief.

"What? Who- No!" Hagakure panicked, freaking out. Her teammates winced at Hagakure's invisible panicking, unaware of who it was that stole their headband. Shoji watched the panic and quickly turned around, avoiding coming into conflict with other groups. Tsu reeled her tongue back towards her mouth, stopping her tongue just before it entered her mouth. She smiled as she stared at the cloth hanging in her tongue. She grabbed the headband and pulled it off her tongue, safely reeling it back into her mouth.

"Good thinking, Mineta." Tsu said, wiping the saliva off the headband. Mineta looked at the headband in Tsu's hand and celebrated.

"Hahaha. That was great!" Mineta said, laughing like a maniac.

"Great job, Tsu. They didn't even notice you." Ami smiled, giving Tsu a high five.

"I can't believe it was that easy! Who should we go after next?" Mineta asked, containing his excitement. He looked at the girls for suggestions and received blank stares and shrugging shoulders.

"I don't know. Maybe we should focus on the smaller groups next?" Ami suggested, peeking out the small openings in Shoji's barrier. She saw one of the Class 1-B teams and wondered whether it would be a good idea to go after them.

"That sounds good." Tsu nodded, agreeing with Ami's idea.

"Right. Let's do what Ami says. You heard her, Shoji?" Mineta said, peering over Shoji's shoulder.

"Way ahead of you." Shoji said, solemnly. In an instant, Shoji changed directions and headed towards the smaller groups.

"Tie it on me, Tsu." Mineta commanded, facing the front. Tsu complied and helped put the headband on Mineta's neck, adding to the teams score. Team Mineta quickly shot up to 2nd place at 1005 points. A dozen feet away, an amused blond stared at the bizarre group with an impressed smirk. He had watched the scene that took place and spoke up.

"Impressive tongue." He complimented.

"Monoma, what do we do now? We were after that headband. Should we go after them?"

"Let 'em keep it for now. Our real target just left himself wide open." Monoma said with a devious smirk. Staring at his target, his teammates followed his eyes and realized who it was. They were hesitant for a second before the excitement kicked in, allowing them to push forward. Shoji ran with all his might and reached a less crowded area of the battlefield, allowing him to catch his breath. Ami kept her eyes on Shoji's back, guarding his blindspot. While doing so she saw Izuku's team and watched them defend themselves against an attack from another Class 1-B team. She watched as the two-member team rushed towards Izuku and fired off shots of a glue-like substance towards their feet. One of the shots actually managed to hit Ochaco's shoe, causing them to get stuck to the ground.

"Team Kodai's coming in like a tank!" Present Mic announced. Ami's eyes widened at the action, causing her to tightly grip Shoji's arms. The grip on his arm caused Shoji to turn his head and see what was going on.

"What's going on?" Shoji asked, twisting his head to look at the field.

"Get a load of them. Those 1-B students are really after Midoriya." Mineta said, watching team Midoriya escape into the air once more.

"They got free." Ami smiled.

"But they lost a boot." Tsu pointed out. Ami's smile quickly dropped upon seeing a large explosion on the ground beneath Izuku followed by a lone figure flying into the air. All of Mineta's team watched as Bakugo blasted into the air towards team Midoriya. The bloodthirsty smile on his face was plainly visible even from their distance. Bakugo launched after Deku with a glare on his face, surprising both Midoriya's team and his own team.

"Kacchan!" Izuku exclaimed, surprised to see Bakugo flying towards them.

"Don't think for a second that you're safe." He glared, reaching his hand out towards Izuku's headband. Ochaco saw Bakugo's face and yelped. She thought about trying to grab him and making him float away but there was no opening for her to exploit.

"I've got you!" Bakugo shouted, scaring Midoriya's entire team. Izuku looked down at Tokoyami and called out his name.

"Tokoyami!" Izuku shouted, springing Dark Shadow into action. Bakugo swiped his arm at them and activated his quirk. Dark Shadow roared and quickly expanded his body into a wide area, taking all of the damage from Bakugo's explosion. The defensive move by Dark Shadow surprised the audience, causing them to react with loud screams of excitement. Present Mic was just as surprised to see Bakugo flying in the air and shouted.

"Bakugo has been separated from his horses!" Present Mic announced.

"Damn bird." Bakugo grunted, making eye contact with Dark Shadows glare. He bared his teeth against the shadowy bird and groaned as his body descended to the ground. Sero watched Bakugo's descent and raised his arm, launching tape out of his elbow. The line of tape flung towards Bakugo's waist and grabbed hold of him. Sero quickly reeled the explosive teen back into their group's hands, surprising his team.

"Whoa. Nice catch!" Kirishima said, complimenting Sero's move.

"Is that even allowed?" Present Mic questioned, watching Bakugo's team recover.

"He never touched the ground, so technically it's okay." Midnight said, clarifying the rules. In response to the action, cameras snapped photos and the audience jumped out of their seats in excitement. The heroes mostly remained seated and chose to clap at the action. Backdraft and the stoic hero both clapped at Bakugo's actions. The stoic hero grinned the entire time Bakugo was in the air. Back on the battlefield, Several groups heard Midnight give the okay to Bakugo's action and protested amongst themselves, Ami included.

"Oh, come on! That's seriously okay?" Ami asked, staring at Bakugo in disbelief.

"Let's try not to piss off Bakugo." Mineta suggested, getting nods of agreement from his team. Team Mineta watched Bakugo's team recover and felt a sense of fear hit their bodies. If a move like that was allowed it meant Bakugo's threat level was tripled. Unfortunately for the team, they were so distracted by Bakugo's actions that they didn't notice they too had become a target. Shoji was too busy watching the other teams to notice the small vine breaching his right side. Meanwhile, the media were just as hyped as the audience to see Bakugo's moves. Cameramen snapped photos of the battlefield as they watched the teams perform.

"With all those flashy quirks, I can't decide who I should be watching!" A cameraman said, undecided on who to follow.

"Looks like the experience fighting villains made that class level-up superfast." An audience member cheered with enthusiasm.

"Now who wants to take a look at each team's points so far? It's been seven minutes, so let's get those rankings thrown up on the screen!" Present Mic said, flashing the leaderboard on the jumbotron. Present Mic was excited to see the results and smiled. However, that smile quickly faded upon seeing the board. He was shocked to see the results on the board and so, too, was the audience.

"Huh?" The audience collectively gasped in confusion. Team Mineta stared up at the results and felt their eyes pop out of their sockets. 1st place was Midoriya, 2nd place was Tetsutetsu, 3rd place was Monoma, and skipping ahead to 8th place was none other than team Mineta.

"What? But that can't be right." Ami said, denying the results on the jumbotron.

"We have Hagakure's-" Ami said, turning to look at Mineta's head. Ami looked at Mineta's head and realized the truth. The board was right. Mineta's headbands were gone. Mineta stared back at Ami and lowered his eyebrows in confusion, wondering what she was freaking out about.

"Mineta, your headbands." Tsu pointed out, causing Mineta's eyes to shrink back in fear. Mineta patted his head and felt around for the headbands and realized they were gone. All two of them.

"No way. Our points are gone!" Mineta whimpered, feeling around for the headbands. Mineta frowned with his jaw hanging open, starting to hyperventilate.

"NOOOOO! Where the heck did they go!?" Mineta cried out with an ear piercing whimper, causing Ami and Tsu to cover their ears in response. Outside the barrier, the long strand of vine quickly retreated to their original owner with the two headbands in its grip. Once the vine had reached its owner, she pulled off the headbands in its grip and brought the vine to its appropriate length, returning to her hair. She raised her arm and offered the headbands to the team's rider, who happily took them off her hands.

"Haha. Look at that!" Tetsu said, pointing at the headbands in his hand.

"Good going, Shiozaki!" Tetsu said, happily thanking her. She nodded at his sincere thanks and hid the frown on her lips. She stared back at Shoji's arm barrier and could hear the cries from the tiny one inside. She felt sorry for what she did. Especially because she knew who was inside. She closed her eyes and started to pray to herself.

"Forgive my sinful acts, Lord." She prayed inside her head, helping her team to escape before the other team had caught on.

Author's Notes: Hello to everyone reading. I feel incredibly bad for not being able to post anything for this entire month. As much as I hate to say it, I did it again and wasted a month with only one chapter to show for it. It's easy to say I got the sports festival planned out in my mind because, visually, I do have it down. But the really difficult part for me is actually writing what I'm imagining down. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem when writing or if it's just my ADHD that does this to me, but I've always had this challenge. This part of the chapter wasn't supposed to be this long because originally I wanted to include the entire cavalry battle all in one chapter but I just kept on writing and writing. I'm disappointed in myself for taking this long but I have been busy. E3 happened and that was really boring. Then I found out at the last minute that summer classes were starting on the 14th. So I got distracted with a new college semester. It wasn't my intention to take this long to write this chapter. For that, I apologize immensely. Even so, I will continue with my notes.

Starting off with the team choices. Before anything else, the first goal was to decide the team Ami would be on. Mineta wasn't the first choice, in fact, Ami was originally going to stay in Shinso's team. However, I decided not to because of my lack of understanding of Shinso's quirk.

Originally, Ami would get brainwashed and only break free at the end, but then I realized that would be confusing and definitely lazy. It was an attempt to skip the cavalry battle and jump ahead to the finals without any effort. So I decided not to follow through with that idea because I thought it would be better to change the finals a bit. I couldn't really do that with Ami on Shinso's team. So I added in that interaction with Bakugo and Ami.

The exchange between Shinso and Ami and with Bakugo afterwards took several rewrites as I mistakenly made Shinso sound more evil. His words to Ami got progressively less and less evil until I reached what you see in the story now. Shinso was surprised to see how nice Ami was and felt bad for what he had to do. Because he hesitated he got a small example of the Midoriya twins positivity. The interaction between Bakugo and Ami wasn't as difficult to write about compared to Shinso so it went smoothly there. I only had to rewrite that part every time I rewrote Shinso's interactions.

About what Shinso did to Ami. Please feel free to correct me here but it seems like the effects of brainwashing are different depending on the person. In the battle against Midoriya, Izuku seemed to be aware of what was happening to him. Yet in that same episode Ojiro didn't remember anything while under Shinso's mind control. Basing the effects off of both their experiences, I decided to combine them somewhat. At the start of the quirk, Ami was aware and slowly gained memory loss while under his control. I'd say the way the effect works on people is that they either remember all of it or not at all. The experience is probably similar to an alien abduction where they start to remember things after certain time passes. I think after experiencing a quirk like that you either get a panic attack or you handle it. Unfortunately for Ami, she had a panic attack.

As for why Shinso went for her first. Well that's on me. Before I had a full idea of how I wanted things to go I wanted Ami to fall under the effects of brainwashing in one form or another during the sports festival. This seemed like the best way to reach that situation. Shinso's quirk is kinda confusing. He mentioned in season 5 that the brainwashing fails if the target is forced to think but Izuku was clearly thinking during the brainwashing. I don't know, maybe it's just me being confused. I made some liberties with Shinso's quirk as I don't really know how they feel while trapped in the brainwashing. The only perspective we saw from inside was from Izuku and he never described how it felt other than feeling like his brain was in a fog.

Anyway, about the number points. So while I was writing a separate sheet for the possible team choices and the maximum points, I realized Team Todoroki and Team Mineta would be tied right off the bat with 615 points. It's a funny coincidence I didn't intend to make. It's also not mentioned but in order to get Ami in the top 42 and not really change the teams much, I decided to axe Manga and drop Mudman lower in the placement score. In canon, Ibara Shiozaki got 4th place with Juzo Honenuki getting 5th place. I could've placed him at 6th but I realized that would've changed the point total of literally every character in the cavalry battle. So I decided to axe Manga and replace him with Juzo at 40th place. So the change meant Tetsutetsu's team would start with 525 points instead of 705. Axing Manga also meant Team Kodai would go from 165 to 150 and go from a team of 3 to a team of 2.

Something else that also needs a mention is the reasoning behind Ami not teaming up with Izuku. I always intended for them to not team up in the Cavalry battle and I had even thought up several reasons why in my head. However, when it came time to write the in-universe reason down my mind went completely blank. It got to the point where I was staring at the screen for ten minutes just going, "Huh." That whole section went through rewrite after rewrite. Most of the chapter went through several rewrites because I thought it was weird. Hence why I'm sad that I kept you all waiting for this long. Anyways, I hope the in-universe reasoning is justifiable and realistic.

Moving on to the reviews, thanks everyone for the positive feedback towards the last chapter. In response to one of the reviews from the last chapter. Ami's powers are inspired by Godzilla but only the fire breathing part. Though, technically, Godzilla has an atomic breath not a fire breath. Referring to the suggestion of adding scales on her back, while I was thinking up the story back in 2020. I did consider body modifications such as scales and such but I decided against it. I decided to keep the basic human form for Ami so I won't be adding scales and such this late into the story. My reasoning behind it was simply because there isn't very much family history to go on for Izuku's family. As far as I'm aware, Izuku's father has yet to appear in the story. All we know about Izuku's father is that his quirk lets him breathe fire. There isn't any reason to believe scales or Godzilla-like features are present in Izuku's genetics. And since he doesn't have any scales, I think it's safe to assume Izuku's family have kept the basic human form in their genetics.

One detail that I often embarrassingly forget about is the light that Ami produces on her body when using her quirk. Going from Ami's neck all the way down to her flame organ, her body actually lights up due to using her quirk. To give an example of how it looks, it's basically like when you use a flashlight and press it against your fingers. The light is so bright it goes through your fingers and turns the light red, letting you see your veins and stuff. It's a byproduct of her powers that I keep forgetting to mention so I'm not sure if I mentioned it already. It's a pretty noticeable indicator that Ami is using her powers so she likes to keep it hidden to surprise opponents. It's only noticeable on her neck when she's wearing the school's gym uniform. Shirts obscure the light coming off her chest easily. That's also why her hero costume covers her neck. If this conflicts with anything I wrote in the past be sure to let me know.

In summary, Shinso almost got Ami on his side. Bakugo accidentally saved Ami. Ami joined Team Mineta and changed events in canon. And just like in canon, Vine girl stole their headbands. The next chapter will hopefully not take as long. Though it will mainly be action the entire way, it might end up being the shortest of the season. That entirely depends on how inspired I get while writing the chapter though.

Now to end it off. I had no intention of writing so much for this part alone. It just kinda happened as the ideas kept coming. This chapter went through more rewrites than the entirety of season one simply because I felt I wasn't doing enough. To that end, I apologize for any feelings of disappointment to anyone reading expecting to see the entire cavalry battle. Thanks for your understanding and I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for the support and I'm sorry for the wait. Please send any feedback for improving the story. And also be sure to ask me any question you have in your reviews. Thanks for reading and have a good day!
