"Aaaaaah!" Mineta screamed, rupturing the girl's ears.

"Why? Why did this happen? We were in 2nd place, not 8th!" Mineta whined, rocking back and forth. His painfully loud cries irritated the two girls surrounding him. Ami and Tsu grit their teeth and bared through his cries, covering their ears with their hands.

"Geez, Mineta. Why don't you ask us again how this happened?" Ami sarcastically replied, removing her hands from her ears. Team Mineta had an unfortunate situation occur. They had gotten distracted watching the other groups focus on Team Midoriya and had somehow fallen victim to robbery. Mineta had ownership of the headbands and somehow lost both of them in an instant. After finding out they were gone, Mineta broke down and cried, forcing Ami and Tsu to cover their ears and endure his screams for as long as possible.

"What do we do? What do we do?" Mineta panicked, frantically looking at Ami and Tsu. Outside the barrier, Shoji removed the ears that had formed on the tips of his appendages. Mineta's whining had made the whole situation worse than it already was. Ami was getting fed up by the screaming and had enough.

"Mineta, calm down." Ami said, raising her voice at him.

"Calm down? The Cavalry battle's already halfway over and you want me to calm down?" Mineta exclaimed, looking at her like she was crazy. Ami closed her eyes and breathed in, taking a deep breath. She thought happy thoughts and exhaled, calming herself down. Opening her eyes, she narrowed them and grabbed hold of Mineta's shoulders. Mineta looked at the hands grabbing onto his shoulders and stopped making noise. Hearing him go silent, Ami turned his body to directly face hers, forcing him to stare at the annoyed glare in her eyes. Ami then gripped his shoulders more tightly and started to rapidly shake Mineta's entire body repeatedly. The move confused him and disrupted his panicking mind. Ami then took the opportunity to reply to him.

"Yes, I do. Now relax, okay? We're not gonna get our points back if you keep acting this way!" Ami shouted, shaking Mineta around. Mineta stopped crying and paid full attention to Ami's encouragement, snapping him out of his panicked state.

"Okay. Okay. I get it!" Mineta said, getting Ami to stop shaking him around. Feeling Ami's hands leave his shoulders, Mineta took a deep breath and wiped away tears and bits of sweat off his forehead.

"Feel better?" Ami asked, getting a sad frown from Mineta.

"...Maybe if you hold me a little more." Mineta wished, getting Ami to roll her eyes.

"You're fine." Ami replied, unamused by the request. She sighed and accepted the answer, returning to her original position. It was the best reply she was probably going to get.

"We should probably figure out who it was that took our points?" Tsu suggested, receiving nods of agreement from her teammates.

"She's right." Ami said, agreeing with Tsu's suggestion. Mineta returned to sanity and nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, yeah." Mineta grunted and turned back around. He walked up to the front window of Shoji's arm barrier and peeked outside, getting a look at the battlefield.

"See anything, Shoji?" Mineta asked, looking down at Shoji over his shoulder.

"Try the scoreboard." Shoji suggested, getting a nod from Mineta. Mineta looked at the jumbotron and read the results in his head and noticed Team Tetsu was second place with a whole 1530 points.

"It was them! That Class 1-B group, Team Tetsu!" Mineta said, doing the math in his head. Mineta looked around for the enemy team and saw them on the far side of the battlefield.

"There! Those headband thieves are on that side!" Mineta said, angrily pointing towards the enemy group's direction.

"Where are they headed?" Tsu asked. Mineta followed the group's movements and predicted their next target. When he saw who they were likely going after it made him go wide eyed, taking a step back into the arm barrier. Ami and Tsu looked at the sweat falling down his head and felt hesitant to ask who Tetsu was after.

"Well?" Ami asked, reluctantly.

"He's heading toward Todoroki's team!" Mineta exclaimed in disbelief, pressing his hands to his face.

"Seriously? Todoroki?" Ami questioned, sighing loudly.

"Are they that confident in taking on Todoroki's team?" Ami thought, darting her eyes back and forth. She could understand wanting to go after him, but she also knew what his ice was capable of. After all, he did take out a zeropointer in front of her.

"We gotta stop them! There's no way we'll get our points back if Todoroki has them!" Mineta panicked, falling onto Shoji's back. He felt the fear getting control of his mind again.

"Mineta, c'mon, don't panic. We can stop them." Ami assured him, trying to make him feel better.

"How?" Mineta asked, lifting his hands from his head.

"Shoji, what do we know about them?" Ami asked, tapping Shoji's shoulder.

"They look pretty well defended. Their runner has a quirk that makes the ground soft. I get caught in that and it'll be hard to get out. The girl has vines for hair. She can move them around independently. It's probably how they stole our headbands in the first place. The quirk of the other runner with the headband is unknown. And the rider himself, Tetsutetsu, can turn his body into metal." Shoji said, recognizing them from the obstacle race. He was an eyewitness to several of their abilities. Ami nodded her head in understanding, resting her chin on her hand. She, too, could corroborate his claims.

"So, vine girl is on his team." Ami repeated, thinking of her encounter with her in the entrance exam. She remembered how she had used her vines to crush three robots at the same time. That led to her accidentally setting fire to her hair after the three pointers exploded in her vines. She remembered how grateful she was after eating the flames off of her vines.

"If we're going to get our points back we're gonna have to surprise them or distract all of them at the same time." Tsu said, getting Ami to think. She narrowed her eyes and started to rub her chin with her hand. She concentrated and started to think about what she knew about Tetsutetsu. The memory of him popping out of the zero pointer's dead body came to mind. She remembered what he said when doing so.

"Class 1-A really is full of jerks! I'll smash that ice guy when I get my hands on him." Tetsu shouted, angrily. Ami shook her head at his words and remembered how he looked. She couldn't see his entire body from where she stood but it seemed like his quirk turned his whole body into steel. Ami formed a grin on her mouth as a thought popped in her head. He can turn into steel. She can light things on fire. So what happens when you put them together?

"That could work." Ami thought, nodding her head to the plan forming in her mind.

"But then, wait. If I do that, it'll be too hot for Tsu's tongue to grab our headbands." Ami realized, her grin slightly faltering. She glanced at Tsu and narrowed her eyes, thinking back to the USJ. She remembered how Tsu used her tongue to pull her and Mineta out of harm's way several times. Things happened so fast then so she never put much time into thinking about it that much. But it got her thinking again. She remembered what Sero did to catch Bakugo a couple minutes ago and felt a whole new idea enter her mind.

"That's it!" Ami thought, nodding her head. She removed the hand on her chin and formed an open palm with her right hand, slamming her fist on the open palm.

"Leave it to me, Mineta." Ami said, getting her teammates' attention. She poked her head out of the arm barrier and looked at the battlefield. Spotting Team Tetsu with her own eyes, she tapped Shoji's shoulder and got his attention.

"Shoji, I have an idea. You with me?" Ami asked, looking confident. Shoji tilted his head and peeked over his shoulder, making eye contact with Ami.

"I'm with you." Shoji replied, nodding his head. Ami smiled and nodded, pulling her head back into the arm barrier.

"Alright, everyone, listen up. This plan can only work if we do this together." Ami said, getting her teammates to nod.

"Alright." Tsu said.

"Tell us." Mineta said, impatiently awaiting instructions.

Alright. Here's what I got." Ami said, beginning her explanation of the plan.

At The Same Time

"This is an unexpected turn. Other than Midoriya, Class 1-A's not doin' so hot! Even Bakugo is losing!" Present Mic commented, staring at the results in both disbelief and shock. Bakugo's eyes widened after feeling a hand tug on his headband. Before he could do anything to stop it, the headband was quickly detached from Bakugo's head. Bakugo turned his head to see who it was that dared take his headband and let out a quiet shocked gasp. Staring at his attacker, he made eye contact with Neito Monoma and his calm and collected smile just as he was passing by with the headband in his hand.

"Your class is too small minded. Think bigger." Monoma mocked, grinning victoriously.

"He got us!" Mina shouted, twisting her head around. Bakugo glared at him and snarled, letting out his anger.

"What did you say? Come back here!" Bakugo shouted, throwing his fists in the air.

"Midnight said the obstacle course was just the first game, and we figured they wouldn't cut that many of us right off the bat. Would they?" Monoma said, confusing Bakugo and his team.

"Huh?" Bakugo replied, looking puzzled by the random subject being brought up. Monoma kept his grin on his face. Now he got their attention.

"Assuming they'd keep at least 40 contestants for the next event. All we had to do was make sure we stayed in that group as we ran. From our spots in the middle ranks, we could fully observe the quirks our rivals had and judge their capabilities. Only a fool would obsess over winning the preliminary rounds, wouldn't you agree?" Monoma asked, causing Bakugo to get even more pissed off.

"You planned this as a class?"

"It wasn't totally unanimous and we lost Manga on the way, but I'd say it's playing out well." Monoma admitted.

"It's better than chasing after a temporary frontrunner like a horse with a carrot waving in his face. Oh, while I have your attention. You're kinda famous, huh?" Monoma asked, getting the expected reaction from Bakugo. Bakugo grit his teeth at the mention of him being famous. It always led to that damn incident.

"For being attacked by that Sludge Villain?" He asked, angering Bakugo even more. The dumb blonde looking at him with an annoying grin was going to pay for bringing that up.

"Yeah, I know who you are. The twin dorks on the other teams saved you, too, right? At least tried to." Monoma mocked, receiving the death stare from the explosive blonde. Deku and Habanero did not save him. If anything, he saved Habanero from getting caught in the first place. But none of the newspapers knew that because no one bothered to interview him or the twins. His anger flared up inside him, scaring his teammates holding onto him. Monoma saw the anger rising out of his face and kept up his grin.

"You'll have to tell me about it sometime. It must be strange to always find yourself in the role of the victim." Monoma said, finishing off his mockery against the explosive teen.

"Kirishima, we have a slight change of plans." Bakugo growled out.

"Hmph." Monoma hummed, satisfied at his reaction. Monoma's teammates stared at the explosive teen and felt uneasy being near him.

"Monoma, don't provoke him, man. That's the kinda thing he would do." The brown haired teammate warned. Monoma thought about his actions and realized he had a point. Either way, he approved his own words in his head.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. It's not very heroic of me. Besides, you know how these things work." Monoma shrugged, spreading his arms wide. He narrowed his eyes at Bakugo and made sure he heard everything he said.

"Heroes are always being hounded by some moronic villains desperate for some kind of revenge." Monoma said, getting Bakugo's anger to reach past his boiling point. Monoma held back a laugh and watched his rage grow with amusement. Bakugo glared at the dumb blonde, his entire body shaking in pure rage. Kirishima, Mina, and Sero, looked up at Bakugo and cringed.

"They're in for it now." Sero thought, taking a big gulp. Kirishima was slightly angered by Monoma's words. He wondered what Monoma was thinking, enticing him into unleashing his rage at them. He took Bakugo's headband, sure, but was it really necessary to mock him for it? He turned his head until Bakugo could see the side of his face, attempting to get Bakugo to calm down. A wasted effort but there was always a chance he'd be rational.

"Calm down, Bakugo. You've gotta keep a level head or we'll never get our points back!" Kirishima said, trying to prevent a catastrophe of explosive proportions. Bakugo did not give a damn about whatever Kirishima said. His whole body shook with rage as he stared down at his hands. This dumb blonde that he didn't know even existed dared to mock him? He seethed until anger overwhelmed him, roaring loudly in rage.

"Shut up! I've never been calmer." Bakugo snarled, pounding his fists in a large explosion. His teammates appreciated that one, coughing away the smoke.

"Can't you tell? Now get after them, Kirishima!" Bakugo demanded, stretching out his arms in preparation of his quirk. Kirishima looked up at him and internally sighed. There was nothing he could do now to stop him. All he and his teammates could do was follow his commands.

"Please don't make us regret this." Kirishima said, charging like a bull towards Monoma's team. Mina and Sero were barely catching up to Kirishima's speed, dragging their feet along the way. Monoma never lost his focus on Bakugo's team, paying close attention to them as they got close.

"You think you're tough?" Bakugo roared, ready to perform a driveby shooting on the blonde.

"Die!" He shouted, lunging his arm towards the blonde. Sparks of light emanated off his open palm as he launched towards Monoma. Monoma saw the attack coming a mile away and knew exactly what to do. He leaned back a tiny bit and smacked away Bakugo's wrist with his hand, redirecting the blast away from the teen's position. Bakugo 's eyes widened at the redirect of his move. He grunted in frustration at the blonde's perfect dodge and quickly turned around. However, upon turning back to face the dumb blonde, Bakugo's eyes widened when he saw Monoma's open palm a foot away from his face. He stared at the hand for about a second before he got blasted by an explosion from the dumb blonde's hand.

"Huh. Wow…" Monoma said, genuinely impressed by the power in the quirk, "I see why you like this quirk!" He said, quickly dropping his hand on Kirishima's hair. He lightly tapped the redhead's forehead brushing his hand through his red hair. Kirishima had his eyes closed and didn't notice the contact, still recovering from the surprise explosion.

"My power…" Bakugo said, staring at the dumb blonde with suppressed shock.

"Whoa, weird! That guy has your quirk!" Kirishima exclaimed, recovering from the surprise attack. Bakugo glared at him and grunted in frustration.

"Damn it!" He growled, bringing his hand towards the blonde's face. Monoma saw the hand about to smack him and quickly shielded himself with his wrist, activating his quirk. The explosive hand made contact with Monoma's skin, creating a smoke cloud that kicked up a little bit of wind.

"You both have impressive powers. But I think you'll agree mine's better." Monoma said, grinning. Bakugo's teammates eyes widened, seeing the skin on Monoma's body had hardened up. The blonde had taken the force of Bakugo's explosions using his newly acquired hardened skin to shield himself. Kirishima looked at the hardened skin on Monoma's arm and face and was dumbfounded.

"Huh? What? Mine, too?" Kirishima exclaimed, shocked beyond belief. Bakugo's rational thinking took control of the wheel upon examining the dumb blonde's abilities. That display was enough to give him a rough idea of what the dumb blonde's quirk really was.

"Bastard. His quirk. He can copy other powers." Bakugo explained, getting that annoying grin from the dumb blonde.

"Very good." Monoma complimented, impressed that his explosions didn't stunt his intelligence growing up.

"Neito Monoma. His quirk: Copy. He can use the quirks of whomever he touches, but only for five minutes. Plus, he can only borrow one at a time." Present Mic announced.

"So even an idiot could figure it out." He mocked, getting an annoyed growl from Bakugo. Bakugo had enough of the blonde's stupid quirk and looked ready to swing another explosion at him. But before he could fire a shot off, their standoff was interrupted by a plume of glue that landed between him and Monoma. Kirishima, Mina, and Sero quickly reeled back in an attempt to avoid the glue but failed to get away in time. Monoma saw the glue impact the ground and recognized his classmates' quirk instantly.

"Nice one. Thanks for the backup, Bondo." Monoma said, glancing towards his fellow classmate with the strangely shaped head.

"Monoma. If we keep those headbands, we're good. As long as no one gets near us, we'll make our class proud." The brown haired teammate below him said. Monoma nodded and made a small wave of his hand, commanding his horses to run the opposite way. Bakugo watched them retreat from their standoff and growled in frustration. He glared at the headband tied on the blonde's neck. That was his headband. And he was damn sure that nothing was going to stop him from getting that headband back.

"Stop em!" He ordered, unaware of the sticky situation beneath him.

"It's too sticky! Crap, I can't move!" Kirishima whined, trying to pull his leg out of the glue. Mina saw Kirishima's struggling and leaned forward, raising her hand up and firing off a spray of acid on the glue.

"No prob! I'll melt through this gunk with my quirk!" Mina said, watching her acid begin to melt away the glue.

"Well hurry! We're sitting at zero points now!" Sero said, pressuring her to spray harder. On the opposite side of the glue, Monoma turned his head and looked back at Bakugo, catching the blonde's death glare. He motioned for his team to stop running and spoke up loud enough for Bakugo to hear.

"Oh, no hard feelings, right? After all, you provoked us. What was it you said in your little speech before the games? Uh…Oh, right. Oof." Monoma said, quoting Bakugo's exact words. Bakugo's rage took over his mind again, growling in frustration.

"I just wanna say I'm gonna win." Bakugo's voice said inside his mind. He remembered what he said and he didn't regret it one bit. After all, he was only telling the truth. No one was stopping him from winning this festival. Not the twins, not Todoroki, and especially not this dumb blonde.

"This isn't over. I'm still gonna come out on top. And I won't just make it to first place- I'll be the undeniable champion!" Bakugo roared, no longer fighting just to get his headbands back. He was going to destroy that dumb blonde.

Back on Team Mineta, Shoji flexed his arms and felt the muscles on his appendages bulge. After stretching his muscles, he took hard steps on the ground and waited for permission to move. He tracked down Team Tetsu and positioned his body to always be directly facing them.

"They're in my sights." Shoji said. Mineta poked out of his arm barriers and patted Shoji's shoulder.

"Alright, Shoji, it's time. Initiate Attack Mode!" Mineta said, getting a serious nod from Shoji. Shoji glared at his target and started to unfurl his arms and appendages on his back, exposing his teammates to the world. Shoji then repositioned his arms. Rather than contain his teammates, he stretched his hands all the way out and folded his appendages outward. Shoji knew what he was doing. He had done this before in middle school. By positioning his appendages just right, he can run faster.

Up in the stadium, All Might saw Shoji's arms open up and raised his eyebrow in curiosity. His curiosity reached higher than before upon seeing Ami along with two other students inside Shoji's arm barrier. He crossed his hands and placed his chin on them, watching them with anticipation.

"First, Shoji opens his barrier. We'll be exposed, but it'll let Shoji run faster." Ami planned. Shoji clenched his fists and ran as fast as he could. His teammates on his back held on tightly as they made their way to Team Tetsutetsu.

"Once that barrier opens and we start charging, that's when you grab hold of me with your tongue, Tsu." Ami explained, getting a nod from Tsu.

"You ready, Tsu?" Ami asked, holding on to Shoji's back.

"Ribbit." Tsu nodded, wrapping her tongue around Ami's waist. Mineta held onto Shoji and peeked over his shoulder. Shoji made quick work reaching the other side of the battlefield. He kept his running speed and started to catch up to Team Tetsu.

"We're coming up to them now!" Shoji called out. Ami and Tsu quickly climbed up Shoji's back and held on to his shoulder on their sides. Reaching a good enough distance, Ami tugged on his shoulder, signaling him to stop running.

"And then once we reach them I'll get his attention." Ami explained.

"But won't that ruin our chances of getting our headbands back if they know we're coming?" Tsu asked.

"That's just it, Tsu. We want them to know we're coming." Ami clarified, nodding her head.

"Hey, Tin-Man!" Ami shouted, putting her hands up to her mouth.

"Huh? Who said that?" Tetsu said, slightly insulted.

"Tetsu, it's the team we stole the headbands from." The rider on Tetsu's left side pointed out.

"I see. So you want your headbands back, huh? Well, good luck getting them from me." Tetsu said, flexing his body into his steel form. Tetsu's teammates saw the serious look on his face and watched as he activated his quirk. They knew a fight was coming up. If Mineta's team caught up to them this easily then they'll just have to keep them still indefinitely. They glared at Mineta and started to turn around.

"When we finally do attack, we'll have to be fast. If we allow them the chance to completely turn around and face us, then we'll have to worry about the frontrunner turning the ground beneath us into quicksand." Ami explained.

"They're turning around!" Mineta called out, noticing they were turning. He cl;enched his fists and prepared to follow through with Ami's plan. He remembered what Ami said and did as he was told.

"Remember, Mineta. We can't let them turn around and face us directly. So, the moment you see them turning; It's up to you to stop them from moving." Ami explained.

"You're not going anywhere!" Mineta shouted, riding on Shoji's neck. Mineta screamed and grabbed hold of the sticky balls on his head, throwing one after another towards them. Before they could even face Mineta's team, the frontrunner stepped on one of the balls and nearly tripped.

"What the?" The frontrunner said, catching himself from falling. He looked down at the ball attached to his foot and tried to shake it off but failed repeatedly.

"The heck is that, Juzo?" The runner on Tetsu's left side asked, looking at the balls surrounding the team with caution.

"I don't know. I can't get it off." Juzo said, trying to shake the purple ball off his leg. Mineta watched Juzo struggle to turn and laughed.

"Alright!" Mineta exclaimed, celebrating his quick actions.

"Next, when they're unable to move and once Tetsu activates his quirk, that's when I'll act." Ami explained.

Ami tensed her stomach and activated her quirk. Her neck glowed red as the flames travelled up to her mouth, quickly getting the attention of Tetsutetsu.

"Woah." Tetsutetsu exclaimed, raising his arms and shielding his head. Ami saw Tetsu defend himself and cracked a grin, releasing her flamethrower. Fire spewed out of her mouth and made contact with Tetsu's metallic arms. His teammates below him stared up at Tetsu with frightful looks, fearing the fire would reach them. Tetsu felt the fire's intense heat start to light up his steel arms with a red glow. He closed his eyes, clenched his fists, and gritted his teeth, holding his position as Ami unleashed her flames into him.

Seeing the red glow on Tetsu's arms, Ami stopped spewing her fire. She kept the grin on her face and closed her mouth, watching the heat on Tetsu's arms give off smoke. Tetsu felt the barrage of fire come to an end and opened his eyes. Unblocking his arms, he stared down at them and watched smoke come off of them. Realizing his arms held together and blocked Ami's attack, he cracked a wide smile and started to laugh.

"Hahaha. Are you serious? I'm fireproof! That's not gonna work on me!" Tetsu laughed, pointing at Ami. He didn't seem to notice that the grin on her face never faded. Ami watched as the glow faded on Tetsu's arms.

"I know. Can't say the same for your teammates, though!" Ami shouted back, getting Tetsu's attention. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at his teammates.

"Huh? Oh no..." He muttered, realizing how hot the rest of his body had gotten.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Tetsu's teammates shouted, struggling to hold up Tetsu's extremely hot metal body.

"Ahhh! Crap, my resistance to fire backfired! Guys, I'm so sorry!" Tetsu apologized, getting out of his metal form. Turning back to his regular human skin didn't seem to change much.

"Metal conducts heat!" Ami shouted, patting herself in the back. Ami watched as Tetsu's team flung Tetsu in the air repeatedly in an attempt to save their hands. Seeing her chance, Ami glanced at Tsu and called out to her.

"Now, Tsu, launch me!" Ami ordered. Tsu nodded and lifted Ami up above the team with her tongue. Tsu then flung Ami over towards Tetsu's distracted team. Ami smiled the entire time and raised her hands out, reaching out for their headbands.

"I'll be taking that!" Ami said, swiping the headbands off Tetsutetsu's head.

"I got them! Pull me back, Tsu!" Ami shouted. Tsu heard Ami's orders and reeled her tongue back towards her. However, when she reached the halfway point between Tetsu's team and her own, a vine had attached itself to the headbands.

"What?" Ami questioned, holding onto the headbands. She stared at the headbands and saw the vine holding onto them. She followed the source of the vine and made eye contact with Vine Girl. Ami gasped and squeezed the headbands even tighter.

"Vine Girl." Ami said, recognizing her instantly. Ibara heard Ami refer to her as Vine Girl and nodded. Ibara recognized Ami from the entrance exam. She had saved her vine hair from burning up and destroying her chances of getting into U.A. It was nice to see her again even if as enemies.

"The Angel That Breathes Hell's Fire. Forgive me, but I can't let you leave with those headbands." Ibara said, advancing more of her vines toward Ami and the headbands. Ami winced at the approaching vines and gritted her teeth. She appreciated the awesome name but knew she had to defend herself and there was only one way to do it.

"Vine Girl, I wish this reunion was under different circumstances. So, I'm sorry for this." Ami said, spitting a fireball at the vine holding onto the headband. Ibara felt the burning sensation on her hair and pulled back, instantly snapping off the burning vine. Once the strand of her hair snapped, Tsu's tongue came flying back to her even faster, surprising Ami. Ami gripped the headband and stared at Vine Girl as she flew back to her team.

"Sorrrrrrrrry!" Ami apologized, quickly inhaling the remaining flames on her hair. Ibara watched Ami retreat on the Frog Girl's tongue, defeated. Ami sighed in relief upon reaching her team. Tsu stopped reeling her tongue back and placed Ami back on Shoji's right side. She slipped her tongue off Ami's waist and pulled it back into her mouth.

"Welcome back." Shoji said, greeting Ami.

"That was pretty hardcore, Ami." Tsu commented, surprised that Ami came up with that idea.

"Yeah. How'd you know that would work?"

"It wouldn't have if he didn't activate his quirk. But, I figured he would try to defend himself if I tried lighting him on fire. So, I used his steel body against him and used him as a conductor." Ami explained, getting nods of understanding from her teammates.

"Burn him on one side and the transfer of heat will do the rest. That's the law of thermodynamics." Ami smiled, feeling proud of herself. Being a fire user, it was always good to have an understanding of the capabilities of her quirk.

"That was a good idea. You're Izuku's twin all right." Tsu complimented. The team celebrated their victory while Mineta took a look at the headband in Ami's grip. Seeing the headband caused Mineta to gasp, his eyes shrinking in horror.

"Ami! That's only 390!" Mineta shouted, getting Ami's attention, "You only have one headband!" Mineta exclaimed, putting his hands on the side of his head.

"Huh? Wh-what the? Crap!" Ami cursed, looking out at the field. Her eyes shrunk into tiny pins upon seeing their original 615 headband on the ground with the burnt vine still attached to it.

"It's on the ground!" Ami said, pointing at it, "Tsu, pull me out again!" Ami said, looking at Tsu with worry.

Ribbit!" Tsu replied, wrapping her tongue around Ami's waist once more. Ami jumped off Shoji's back and got launched by Tsu's tongue. Her teammates wished her luck in getting the headband back, watching her fly towards it.

"Don't let anyone take it, Ami!" Mineta shouted, tying the 390 headband back on his head. The results on the leaderboard reacted to the change, giving 390 points to Team Mineta's score. Team Tetsu was taken out of second place and their points reverted back to 525. Ami stared intently at the 615 headband on the ground.

"C'mon. Almost there. Almost there!" Ami thought. She grit her teeth as she reached her hand out to grab the fallen headband. When she was about to grab the headband off the ground, a strange object appeared from nowhere, grabbing onto the headband.

"Yoink!" A female voice said, laughing as she felt her hand grab hold of the fallen headband.

"Huh?" Ami said, her eyes widening in surprise. Ami stared at the moving object escaping with the headband and was at a complete loss of words. Her whole team watched in disbelief as the headband floated away from Ami's reach. Ami turned her head and tracked the object with her headband, getting a clear view of what the object that stole the headband was. Ami stared in disbelief as it flew off.

"Is that a floating hand?" Ami said, feeling her jaw drop at the hand flying away. She saw it clear as day yet she had a hard time believing it. Her teammates were just as confused as her, watching the severed floating hand escape.

"What the heck is that?" Mineta asked, squinting his eyes at the runaway headband.

"It's a...hand?" Shoji questioned in disbelief, wondering if he was imagining things.

"Ish gah our headbah-" Tsu said, struggling to speak with her tongue holding onto Ami. Team Mineta followed the severed hand and the headband in its grip flying through the air with intelligence and watched as it returned to its original user. Low and behold, it was yet another team of Class 1-B students. The severed arm reattached itself to the girl's wrist as they ran. The dark green haired girl, whom the severed hand belonged to, smiled and giggled to herself at her success in taking the headband. Looking down at the headband, she looked back up at her team leader and floated her hand over to their leader's shoulder. She playfully tapped her shoulder, notifying the orange haired girl of her catch.

"Hey, Kendo. You won't believe what you'd find lying on the ground these days. Hehe." She giggled, flashing a razor sharp display of teeth in her mouth. Kendo stared at the headband attached to the severed hand and grabbed it, smiling proudly at her teammate.

"Good job, Tokage." Kendo said, giving her a thumbs up in appreciation. She looked at the headband and noticed a small strand of burnt vine was stuck on it.

"Hm? Is this Shiozaki's hair?" Kendo asked, pulling apart the burnt vine attached to the headband. Watching Team Kendo get farther away from their position, Mineta tapped Shoji's shoulder and gave him new orders.

"The floating hand belongs to that hot babe with Ami's hair color! After them, Shoji!" Mineta said, pointing towards the enemy team's direction.

"Hey, my hair is not that dark!" Ami corrected him, waving her arm around in mid air. Shoji glared at the owner of the severed hand and charged forward. He wasn't going to let them get away with their 615 headband.

"Where are they going?" Ami shouted from above.

"Todoroki's team." Mineta answered, dying on the inside. Ami's closed her eyes and groaned.

"Ugh. Why is it always Todoroki with these 1-B teams?" Ami whined, questioning the motives of Class 1-B. She reopened her eyes and looked down at the battlefield from high up in the air, Ami kept watch on their target's target.

"Todoroki's going after Izzy still?" Ami thought, raising an eye at the team. She squinted her eyes and focused her vision on Todoroki's teammates and recognized all of them.

"Iida? You're on Todoroki's team? Traitor." Ami stated, not being serious.

"Yaoyorozu and Kaminari, too. But why, Kaminari?" Ami wondered, asking that question too soon. Almost on cue, Yaoyorozu spawned a blanket that covered Todoroki and his teammates. All except for Kaminari.

"Wait. What?" Ami questioned, reexamining their move. A bad feeling grew in her stomach as she focused on Todoroki's team. He was planning something and it made her skin crawl. She looked at the blanket, then back at Kaminari, then back at the blanket again. When she realized what was going on her stomach started to churn. She had to warn her team.

"Hey, guys, wait! Turn around. Todoroki's team is up to something!" Ami shouted, waving her fist.

"What?" Mineta replied, not sure what Ami was saying.

"Indiscriminate shock! 1.3 million volts!" Kaminari shouted. Being above everyone else, Ami heard Kaminari's shout and felt her eyes twitch upon hearing her impending doom.

"Oh no." She whispered, just before a wave of electricity blasted through student after student. Shoji saw the incoming shockwave and forcefully came to a stop. However, his forced stop proved to be for nothing as he was still within range of the shockwave and was instantly electrified. That electricity came rushing up Shoji's body and electrified Tsu and Mineta. They groaned and winced in pain as the electricity shocked every part of their bodies. Ami saw the electricity rising towards her from Tsu's tongue and gulped, bracing herself.

KZZZZZZZZZZZ

Ami's entire body was in pain as the electricity electrocuted every part of her. The intense electric attack from Kaminari caused her immense pain. The painful amount of electricity she felt go through her was almost indescribable. Ami imagined the experience was similar to being tased but one hundred times worse. The electricity sparked upon meeting the fire in her mouth, causing her even more immense pain. The sparks of electricity impacting her face reminded her of the plasma that escaped her mouth when she had unleashed her hyper beam inside the USJ. She clenched her fists tighter than she ever did before, cursing out the name of the person who did this. In fact, she wasn't the only one doing so. The girl with earphone jacks on Hagakure's team was also experiencing the same amount of physical pain from Kaminari's electricity.

"KAMINARI!" Both Ami and Jiro exclaimed, struggling to handle the sheer electrifying pain going through them right now. When the electricity stopped, Shoji dropped to one knee in pain and exhaustion. Tsu flopped onto Shoji's back and nearly slid off of Shoji and Mineta pulled her back onto him. In her exhausted and worn out state, Tsu's tongue slipped off of Ami's waist. Mineta looked up and saw Ami falling and quickly poked Shoji.

"Shoji, Ami's falling!" Mineta shouted, getting his attention. Shoji's eyes widened upon seeing Ami's falling body and quickly reacted, rushing forward and stretching his arms out. Ami nearly fainted while falling and felt Shoji's arms cushion her fall. Seeing Ami safely in his arms, Shoji looked down at her with concern in his eyes.

"Ami, are you okay?" Shoji asked, holding onto Ami in his arms.

"Huh? God, is that you?" Ami asked, managing to pull one eye open. The blinding light of the sun obscured her vision. All she saw was a glowing silhouette staring down at her with worry.

"Oh, no. She's delirious!" Mineta exclaimed.

"I'm sorry. I dropped you." Tsu apologized, weakly holding onto Shoji's shoulder.

"Don't worry about it." Ami muttered, completely out of breath. While Team Mineta recovered from their shocking encounter they were quickly enveloped by a sheet of ice that covered Shoji's legs. Shoji's eyes widened at the cold sheet of ice that prevented him from moving his legs and tried to break free.

"I can't get out of this." Shoji said, struggling to move. The freezing temperatures from the ice started to make him shiver. Trying to break free, he looked down at Ami once again and thought of an idea.

"Ami. I'm trapped in ice. I need your fire." Shoji said, gently shaking Ami's body in order to get her attention.

"Ngghhh." Ami whined, struggling to move. Kaminari's electricity took all the strength out of her. Up in the announcer's room, Present Mic and Aizawa watched the aftermath of Todoroki's move and were impressed.

"Will you look at that! He's stopped all those teams cold in their tracks!" Present Mic announced.

"But only after Kaminari had immobilized the students using his electricity. In the obstacle course, he was surprised by how many people avoided his attack. He's adapting his strategy." Aizawa interjected.

"Nice commentary!" Present Mic said, giving Aizawa a thumbs up in approval.

"Not only that, he managed to take down the one person who could stand up to his ice. Ami Midoriya." Aizawa thought, watching Shoji desperately try to shake Ami into action. The other teams that took a major blow against Kaminari's electricity all struggled against Todoroki's ice.

"I might as well take these." Todoroki said, grabbing the headbands off of Kendo's head.

"Take this!" Mineta said, throwing a purple ball at Todoroki. Todoroki swung his body to the side, easily avoiding the purple ball much to Mineta's dismay. Todoroki gave Mineta a cold glare and shot out a sheet of ice out of his hand, freezing Shoji's backside. Shoji felt the ice on his back and cringed, shivering even more from the cold chill. Mineta opened his eyes and looked around, realizing his body was encased in ice on Shoji's back. Tsu was trapped under the ice, too, and struggled to move before falling into a deep sleep.

"The c-cold. It's ma-m-making me hibernate…" Tsu stuttered, falling asleep trapped in ice.

"T-Tsu. N-no." Shoji said, watching Tsu lose her ability to fight. Staring at their misery, Todoroki grabbed the headband off of Mineta's head and turned around. His teammates below him stared back at Mineta and felt pity for them. Todoroki's teammates especially felt bad for Ami. They all had a positive interaction with Ami at least once. For Momo, it was when they played rock, paper, scissors, for the role of Vice Rep. For Iida, he was sad to see his friend in such a crippled state. After all, they were helping each other train on the same field in preparation. For Kaminari, he felt bad seeing Ami's reaction to his electricity as well as seeing Mineta trapped in a block of ice.

Todoroki ignored the emotional reactions from his teammates. He didn't have the time nor did he care to feel concerned for the enemy team. Shoji and Mineta watched Todoroki and his teammates leave the scene with their headbands along with everyone else they froze. Feelings of failure ripped through the two teammates as they struggled to move, feeling the frozen parts of their bodies go numb. They stayed silent after that, listening to the cheers of the audience and Kendo's screams telling Todoroki to come back. Ami moaned and groaned in Shoji's arms, struggling to return to reality.

"S-Sh-Shoj-ji, W-what d-do w-we d-do?" Mineta stuttered, barely speaking coherently. His head shook rapidly in the icecap he was trapped inside. He grinded his teeth in agony as the sheer cold numbed his whole body.

"I-I don't k-know. Ami's still out of it." Shoji stuttered, lightly. Mineta listened to Shoji speaking and took notice of his lack of a stutter despite his legs and back being frozen in ice.

"H-hey, W-why a-aren't y-you stu-stu-stuttering like me?" Mineta asked, struggling to speak.

"Ami's warm. H-her body's fighting back against the c-cold." Shoji said, feeling the heat coming off of Ami. He looked down at her and felt his arms and chest heat up due to her warmth. Shoji wondered if she was somehow intentionally using her quirk to keep warm.

"L-L-Lucky b-bastard." Mineta stuttered, finding time to be jealous amid hypothermia.

Ami squirmed in Shoji's grasp. Feeling her body start to shiver, she hugged herself and subconsciously activated her quirk internally. Shoji watched as Ami's neck started to slightly light up from her fire. The fire in her mouth wasn't very powerful but it was enough to heat her up. Her mind drifted back and forth between reality and a memory.

It was snowing that year. Ami wore a puffy jacket that covered her mouth. A precaution in case she ever had an accident. Izuku had a green jacket and mittens. The twins were playing outside in the snow and having fun. They were having the time of their lives playing in that snow. She remembered that day very well. Seeing it go through her mind again brought a smile to her face. She started to wonder why she was even thinking about this memory. Was it because she was cold? She didn't have time to think about that as another memory from that day showed up in her mind.

Ami watched from the sidelines while Izuku built the snowman by himself. She wanted to help him build it but there were several other children around. Seeing them all made her nervous. It made her afraid of activating her quirk on accident. That fear made her keep her distance, much to Izuku's dismay. He didn't want his sister to be so sad. So, he decided to make the snowman for her.

Ami kept her eyes on Izuku and heard snickering a few feet away from them. She turned her head and faced the source of the sound and saw Bakugo and his friends laughing at Izuku. She looked at Kacchan and saw he was bundled up in clothes just like her. She assumed he was covered in clothes just so he could still use his quirk in this weather. Ami narrowed her eyes and watched the three kids, wondering what they were laughing at Izzy for.

"Hey, guys. Watch this." Bakugo said, his friends snickering behind him. Ami remembered those friends. The kid with stretchy fingers and the chubby kid with dragon wings. Ami wondered whatever happened to that chubby kid. Ami remembered watching Kacchan approach Izuku and the snowman with a twisted smile, causing Ami to glare at him. He didn't seem to notice her watching him yet. That or he just didn't care if she saw whatever he was about to do.

"Hey, Deku." Bakugo said, getting Izuku's attention.

"Oh, hey, Kacchan. You wanna help with my snowman?" Izuku asked, smiling innocently at the blonde.

"So that's what this is? You call this a snowman? How stupid." Bakugo said, shoving his hand in the snowman's head. Ami and Izuku watched in horror as Bakugo destroyed the snowman's head with a small explosion from the inside. The explosion wasn't very big but it was enough to behead the snowman.

"My snowman…" Izuku said, frowning at the now headless snowman. Bakugo smiled at the frown on Izuku's face and laughed at him, his friends joining in on laughing at him.

Ami glared at Kacchan with a death stare of her own. She clenched her fists and wanted to go over there and do something to him. Anything to get back at him and avenge the snowman. But, she didn't move. The thought of using her quirk entered her mind. She closed her eyes and stared down at the snow. It was too dangerous, she could never. She frowned and inspected the snow, looking at it with an eyebrow raised. Maybe she could avenge Izuku without using her quirk.

"Hahaha. You should see your face, Deku." Bakugo laughed, pointing at him.

"Hahaha-eaah!" Bakugo cringed, feeling snow travel down his neck and trickle down his back. He jumped in surprise and immediately stopped laughing, recoiling from the strange feeling. He turned around and glared at her, shocked to see Ami glaring back at him.

"Habanero?! Huh? Wha- You.." Bakugo gasped, surprised to see she actually did something. He, of course, knew she was watching him, but he never thought she would actually do something about it.

"You killed Izzy's snowman." Ami said, glaring at him with snow in her hand. Ami smiled at the memory. It was one of the earliest examples of her fighting back against Kacchan. It was funny and embarrassing. Izzy wasn't crying anymore and had a small smile on his face. Even his friends were laughing at him. Bakugo glared back at them and immediately shut them up. He glared back at her and clenched his fists, picking up snow off the ground.

"You're dead, Ami!" Bakugo shouted, charging after her. Ami smiled at the memory. She never ran so fast in that puffy jacket before in her life. Bakugo was chasing after her with snow in his hand for at least five minutes until he actually managed to catch up to her. He then did what she did to him in retaliation.

"That's what you get, Ami." Bakugo said, grinning. Ami remembered that feeling. The snow was really cold. When he did it, the feeling of the snow made Ami cringe uncomfortably. She then understood why she was remembering this. A few seconds after he got his revenge, Ami felt her body react to the cold, triggering her quirk. A small blast of fire came out of her mouth, causing her eyes to widen in fear. She quickly closed her mouth and swallowed the fire, extinguishing it. Bakugo was still in close proximity to the fire and reeled back, falling backwards into the snow. He easily avoided the blast and stared in awe, feeling the warmth of the flames from his position on the snow. He said nothing and watched her extinguish the flame in a matter of seconds. Afterwards, Ami covered her mouth with her jacket and her hands, dropping onto the floor in fear. Bakugo watched her fall to the ground and recovered from his shock, getting up and laughing.

"Hmph. That was pathetic. It wasn't even a foot long." Bakugo said, laughing at Ami's weak fire. He stopped laughing when he heard tears and sniffles coming from Ami. He looked at her and raised an eyebrow at the sight of her crying. All because she used her quirk by accident. Again.

"I'm sorry." Ami sniffled, covering her mouth with her jacket. Hearing the apology made him stare at her in silence for about ten seconds before he started to get angry.

"What are you apologizing for? Crying because of that? Did you seriously think you could hurt me with that weak little flame? This is why you're so pathetic, Ami." Bakugo insulted her. Ami frowned at the memory. She could only guess he was offended that she thought she could hurt him with her quirk.

"Oh yeah, that's definitely what I needed to hear." Ami thought, commenting about her own memory.

"Suck it up already, Ami." Bakugo demanded, walking away from her in anger.

"Don't be so weak." He grunted, loud enough for her to hear. Ami internally rolled her eyes at that memory. That day she learned something about herself. Her body reacts to cold and will autoactivate to keep her warm. It was a good fact to know about one doctor's visit later. She remembered that visit, too. Quirks like hers that add one or more organs to a person's body will sometimes activate in emergency situations. It's an evolutionary defense mechanism that appears more frequently as a child before you get full control of your own quirk. Nowadays for her quirk to trigger by itself she needed to be unconscious and extremely cold.

"Wait. Am I unconscious?" Ami thought, realizing something was off. She focused her mind and realized something else was off about her memory.

"Wait a second. Bakugo never called me Ami when that happened? He's always called me Habanero. I am dreaming." Ami thought, confirming her suspicions. The second she became self aware, she heard her name get called out.

"Ami! Ami! Ami, wake up!" Shoji shouted, breaking her out of the dream world. Ami jolted up and lifted her head up in shock, rubbing her forehead in confusion.

"What? I'm awake. What's going on?" Ami said, speaking through the fire in her mouth. Ami felt the warmth of her fire while speaking and noticed the small trail of smoke rising out of her mouth. She realized immediately what was going on and swallowed the flames in her mouth, extinguishing her quirk.

"Ami, you're finally awake." Shoji said, feeling relieved. Ami looked up at him and saw the relief on his face. She moved around and felt her surroundings and figured out she was in Shoji's arms. The strangest part wasn't that she was in his arms, but that she felt like she was freezing.

"Shoji? What happened? How did I get in your arms? And why is it so cold here?" Ami asked, hugging her arms and shivering.

"It's because of Todoroki. He used Kaminari's electricity and electrocuted us and a few other teams, then he froze us and took all our points." Shoji explained, getting a shocked nod from Ami.

"So, we're back to zero, again?" Ami asked, feeling her memory come back to her.

"Unfortunately, yes." Shoji admitted, hating to say it. Ami's expression lowered, her shoulders slumping in defeat. She wondered what Mineta and Tsu were doing before hearing a reply from the purple teen.

"A-after a-all t-that ef-ffort, too." Mineta stuttered.

"Mineta?" Ami said, hearing the purple teens stuttering voice. Ami raised her head up and looked past Shoji's shoulder, gasping at the situation Mineta and Tsu were in.

"Oh my God. Are you two okay? How's Tsu?" Ami asked, genuinely concerned for them. She was horrified to see Shoji's back frozen entirely in ice with Mineta and Tsu encased inside. The only thing keeping them attached to Shoji was the ice. Ami looked at the expression on each of their faces. Mineta's face was turning blue from the cold while Tsu looked somewhat peaceful while trapped in ice.

"I-I c-can't-t-t f-feel a-anyth-th-thing." Mineta stuttered.

"And Tsu?" Ami asked, staring at Tsu with concern.

"I-I th-think sh-sh-she's H-hiber-n-na-nating." Mineta said.

"Don't worry, you two. I'll get you out." Ami said, grabbing onto Shoji's shoulder.

"Shoji, help me out here." Ami asked, receiving a nod from Shoji. Shoji raised his arms and grabbed her foot, boosting her over his shoulder. Reaching Shoji's back, she felt a chill go down her spine upon touching the ice with her bare hands.

"That's cold." Ami thought, chattering her teeth in response. She clenched her teeth and activated her quirk. Mineta saw her neck light up from the fire and saw her veins through her own skin. Ami stared down at her teammates and friends with a confident stare. Before she breathed out her fire she needed to confirm something with Shoji.

"Shoji, how much time do we have left?" Ami asked through the fire in her mouth.

"Less than four minutes." Shoji answered. Ami made a frustrated moan in response. After all they did to get points, none of it mattered in the end. She shook her head and exposed her teeth, letting smoke rise out of her mouth.

"I'll have to work quickly, then." Ami thought, swirling the fire in her mouth. She spat out fire onto her hands and felt her hands warm up in the fire, steam coming off of them. She narrowed her eyes at the ice and placed her hands back on them, hearing them sizzle in response. She then unleashed a small version of her flamethrower, making sure it was just the right size. Mineta saw the fire impact the ice and watched it immediately start melting. He felt a warm sensation appear on his face as the heat started to bring feelings to his face. Ami focused her flamethrower and made sure she wasn't accidentally hurting her friends. Huge amounts of steam came rising out of the ice as she continued breathing fire on it. Her flaming hands proved useful in melting through the ice, feeling them start to slip into the ice. When the ice had suffered enough stress from the heat, it cracked and shattered, slipping off of Shoji's back. The sudden breaking of the ice freed Mineta and Tsu. Mineta quickly grabbed onto Shoji despite the feeling still returning to his body, while Tsu was starting to slide off without anything keeping her attached. Ami noticed Tsu's sliding body and quickly sprang into action.

"Shoji, grab me quick!" Ami said, inhaling the flames off of her hands. She also extinguished the flames in her mouth. Shoji reacted quickly and grabbed hold of Ami's legs. Ami quickly leaned forward and grabbed onto Tsu's hands just before she could fully slip off. Ami's hands were still warm from being on fire so they started to slightly burn Tsu's hands. Tsu felt the burning sensation on her hands and slowly opened her eyes.

"That really burns." Tsu stated, surprised to see Ami holding onto her hands with scared and desperate eyes.

"I'm sorry." Ami apologized, unintentionally hurting her. Shoji pulled on Ami's legs and lifted her body back over his shoulder, pulling Tsu up in the process. Mineta crawled back onto Shoji's neck while Shoji readjusted the girl's positions on his back, bringing Tsu onto his left shoulder with Ami on his right shoulder. Ami held onto Shoji's shoulder and tightly gripped it, panting in exhaustion.

"You guys are okay?" Ami said, glancing over at Tsu and Mineta.

"Yeah. I can feel my body again." Mineta said, sweating.

"My hands are red. Other than that, I'm fine." Tsu said.

"I'm so sorry, Tsu. I didn't mean to-" Ami apologized once more.

"It's alright. If you hadn't grabbed me I could've hurt myself falling to the ground. It's my fault you had to grab me anyway. I forgot to tell you guys that my body goes into hibernation whenever it's cold." Tsu said, interrupting Ami's apology. Ami stared back at Tsu with a surprised reaction. She didn't expect her to accept her apology so quickly. She smiled at Tsu and nodded, returning herself back into the fight.

"Where is Todoroki now?" Ami asked.

"In there. He's after your brother." Shoji said, pointing at a wall of ice at a corner of the field.

"We're going after him." Ami said, her voice taking on a more serious tone. Mineta looked at her like she had lost her mind again.

"What? No way. There's only a few minutes left. There's nothing we can do now, Ami." Mineta said, getting a stern look from the green haired girl.

"No. There is something we can do. He's after my brother, right? That means he's distracted. As long as he keeps his focus on my brother then there's still a chance of surprising him."

"This is crazy." Mineta stated.

"I know it is but it's all I can think of doing right now. We'll take advantage of him getting distracted by Izuku, then when they're not looking. We'll swoop right in and steal back our headbands. Sounds good?" Ami wondered, seeking her teammates' opinions. Tsu and Shoji nodded while Mineta gave a hesitant thumbs up.

"But how are we going to get through that wall of ice?" Tsu asked.

"Leave that to me." Ami said, confidently. She was absolutely sure about this new plan formulating inside her mind.

"That ice is pretty thick, Ami. Can you melt through all that?"

"I won't need to melt through it. I just need to warm it up just right."

"What are you getting at?"

"We're gonna strike hard and strike fast. Todoroki's gonna regret taking a headband from Team Mineta." Ami said, staring menacingly at the ice. Shoji glanced at Ami on his shoulder and was caught off guard by the evil smile on her face. That crazy look in her eyes reminded him of Bakugo. It was rather frightening. She wasn't messing around anymore. Shoji understood that clearly. If she was this serious then it was time for him to get serious. Looking down at his legs, he glared at the ice keeping him frozen on the ground and grabbed hold of the ice with all six of his arms. He tensed his muscles and pushed as hard as he could, feeling the ice break apart under his immense strength. Shattering the ice in seconds, he broke free from the frozen prison and charged towards the ice. Ami was amazed at the level of strength Shoji displayed by breaking the ice and smiled. Mineta and Tsu also smiled and held onto Shoji, ready to make their last stand. They listened in on Ami's master plan as they approached the ice wall.

"Mineta." Ami said, getting his attention.

"Yeah?" Mineta replied, ready for orders.

"Remember what you did to Yaoyorozu? You used your balls and hitched a ride on her back."

"Heck yeah, I did. But why are you bringing that up?" Mineta asked, wondering about the relevancy. Ami looked at Mineta and took a deep breath.

"I want you to do that again but on me this time." She said, keeping her voice low in embarrassment. Mineta heard what Ami said and gasped, getting him to stand up.

"What?! But, what about your conditions?!" Mineta questioned, blushing immensely.

"Screw the conditions! I need you on my back! This is part of the plan." Ami said, praying she wouldn't regret this decision.

"You really mean it?" Mineta asked, seeking double confirmation. Ami gave him a hesitant fake smile and nodded, raising him a thumbs up that also motioned for him to hop on. Mineta was over ecstatic, feeling his nose start to bleed.

"Yes!" Mineta exclaimed. In his mind, whether it failed or not, this was officially the greatest plan ever.

14 minutes in and Team Midoriya was doing remarkably well for themselves. Despite heavy resistance, Izuku still managed to hold onto the 10,000,000 points. It was all thanks to the efforts of his teammates. An unlikely all star team up consisting of himself, Ochaco Uraraka, Mei Hatsume, Tokoyami and Dark Shadow. Izuku had them to thank for getting this far in the Cavalry Battle. Now all they had to do was hold out for the final minute. But, unfortunately, it was easier said than done. Five minutes ago, Todoroki had put Midoriya's team in a hard place. After electrocuting the competition, Todoroki trapped Team Midoriya in a barrier of ice with Todoroki's team constantly after them.

Luckily they managed to avoid him despite the small amount of space between each other in the miniature battlefield. After multiple close calls and near misses, they were up to the last minute wondering what was in store for them next.

"Only one minute left!"

"Todoroki has cornered the 10,000,000 point team and is poised to seize the ultimate prize! At least, that's what I would have predicted five minutes ago!" Present Mic exclaimed. Team Midoriya and Team Todoroki stared intently at each other. The intense showdown between the two teams brought large amounts of attention their way. Many were surprised to see the plain looking green kid and his teammates hold their own against a team featuring the son of the number two hero. The audience watched the fight with excitement and anticipation for what could happen next.

"Unbelievably, Team Midoriya's been able to keep away from the ice master for the last half of the game!" Present Mic announced to wondrous applause.

"Stay back!" Izuku shouted, moving towards Todoroki's left side. Dark Shadow rose up and glared down at Todoroki, keeping his guard up.

"You're doing good, kid." All Might thought, smiling at Izuku's tactics. Standing above the hero stand, Endeavor glared down at the battlefield with arms crossed. His son's refusal to use his left side was getting to him. After trapping the other team, he thought for sure the 10,000,000 would be easy pickings. But after holding off against him for most of the game, Endeavor knew his opponent must have caught on to it, too.

"He's exploiting your weaknesses. Don't be a fool." Endeavor said, talking to himself. At this point of the game, Todoroki understood what Midoriya was doing. He was getting taken advantage of.

"Midoriya is keeping his distance and staying on my left side. That's his strategy. From this position, if I try to freeze them, I'll hit Iida. If he keeps moving like this… There's no way I can get a clear shot at his team." Todoroki thought, feeling the intense showdown get on his nerves. His focus changed to his teammates and tried to think of a strategy.

"I'm not...done yet." Kaminari panted, hyping himself up. After delivering a powerful shock like that, his brain was on the verge of losing it.

"Plus, Tokoyami can defend against Kaminari's electricity. There's not much time left." Todoroki thought, staring at Tokoyami. He glanced towards the shadowy appendage named Dark Shadow and remembered what he saw in the combat training.

"Dark Shadow visibly recoiled after Midoriya's sister lit the metal door on fire. He was scared of the fire. Could fire be his weakness? If that's the case, that means...if I use my left side... I could get an opening." Todoroki thought, raising his eyes. He scoffed and gritted his teeth, shaking his head.

"No. I won't give in. I'll have to find some other way before time runs out." Todoroki thought, shrugging the idea out of his mind. He was dead set on not using his left side. No matter what.

"Everyone. We have less than 60 seconds. I'm gonna do something that'll make me useless to you. But it's worth it." Iida said, light shining off his glasses. Todoroki looked at Iida in confusion, wondering what he was saying.

"What are you gonna do?" Todoroki asked.

"Make sure you get that headband." Iida commanded, bending his legs. He got into position and warned his allies.

"Brace yourselves. Hold on tight." Iida warned, his teammates quickly grabbed hold of each other and held on.

"Torque over-" Iida shouted, accelerating the engines in his legs. A blast of blue flame flew out of his engine pipes and roared, sending Iida and his team speeding towards Izuku.

"Watch the-"

"RECIPROBURST!" Iida shouted, speeding right past Team Midoriya within seconds. Todoroki held his hand out and reached out for the headband, quickly taking it off of Izuku's head in an instant. Izuku's eyes widened at the intense speed and helplessly watched as Todoroki stole the 10,000,000 points right off him.

"Wha-ho-ho! What just happened? That was one big blur! Holy smokes, folks! Why didn't he show off that super speed in the preliminaries?" Present Mic commented.

"Iida, what was that?" Todoroki asked, tying the headband on his neck with a shocked expression.

"Forced my torque and RPM into overdrive. Which gave me explosive power! Unfortunately, the recoil stalls my engines for a while. It's a secret move I've been saving. No one in the class knew about it." Iida explained. Izuku was noticeably alarmed by Iida's words. He twisted his head and looked at Iida with a seriously shocked expression, completely dumbfounded by Iida's move. Iida saw the expression on Izuku's face and grinned.

"I told you, Midoriya...That I'd do my best to beat you." Iida said, smiling triumphantly. The crowds instantly erupted into cheers at the incredible turnaround in the last minute of the game.

"Insanity! This entire game was just turned completely on its head! Todoroki's team has the 10,000,000 points, and Midoriya's team is suddenly left with nothing at all!" Present Mic announced. Endeavor watched the results on the jumbotron change with a smile on his face. His son wasn't using his fire, but at least he was winning.

"Not good. The twins are both at zero." All Might said, biting his nails.

"Don't let them go!" Izuku exclaimed, motioning his team to turn around.

"Kaminari's still a problem for us! It'll be smarter for us to try for other points now." Tokoyami suggested.

"We can't!" Izuku denied, "We don't know who's got the other headbands. This is our only chance!" Izuku exclaimed. Ochaco looked up at Izuku with an unsure look. She looked up at Izuku and saw the serious expression on his face and knew she couldn't let him down now.

"Then let's go!" Ochaco shouted, running first. Mei and Tokoyami nodded their heads and charged toward Todoroki's team.

"We'll get the points back, Deku. I know it!" Ochaco shouted.

"Uraraka…" Izuku whispered, looking down at Ochaco. At that moment, her reasons for becoming a pro went through Izuku's head.

"I'm gonna become a pro. I'll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money. Then my parents will have an easy life." Ochaco said.

That's right." Izuku thought, remembering his teammates' wishes. He remembered what Mei said to him after wanting to join his team.

"I'd like to use your fame to my personal advantage!" Mei explained.

"I'm not alone in this." Izuku thought, remembering what Tokoyami had told him.

"We're counting on you, Midoriya." Tokoyami said, believing in Izuku.

"All three of them put their trust in me. This is my responsibility." Izuku thought, clenching his fist. He activated his quirk and felt his arm start to glow intensely.

"We all have our reasons to win this, and I refuse to let the others down!" Izuku exclaimed, raising his glowing fist towards Todoroki. The brightness of his arm got the attention of the audience. They were excited to see what was going to happen next. Among the crowd, two heroes stared at the glowing arm in shock.

"Quirkless, huh?" The stoic hero repeated, raising an eyebrow at Backdraft.

"What the? I swear, he was quirkless when I met him." Backdraft assured him.

Todoroki narrowed his eyes and lost his focus. He raised both his arms towards Midoriya and unwittingly activated flames on his left side.

Unbeknownst to both teams, another team was making their way towards them. A team with nothing left to lose. On the left side of the ice wall, a red glow formed on the ice. The glow of the ice was soon followed by steam, melting the ice. It seemed like the ice would melt completely until, all of a sudden, the ice exploded. Todoroki heard the blasting of the ice and glanced at his left side. Izuku did the same and glanced at his right, surprised to see the team heading straight towards Todoroki.

"Ami?"

Meanwhile

"Team Todoroki is in first place with six headbands. Despite their best efforts, Team Midoriya has fallen to the bottom! Will these be the top four teams that move on to the next round?"

"Second place. We've done pretty well for ourselves. Now, we can let the clock run out." Monoma said, grinning to himself.

"Losers! Get back here!" Bakugo shouted, startling Monoma's teammates. Monoma heard the explosive blonde's voice and stopped grinning. He groaned and rolled his eyes at the annoying voice.

"Doesn't he ever give up?" Monoma wondered, talking out loud.

"Knowing you've been bested is an important part of being a hero." Monoma said, turning to look back at Bakugo. Bakugo watched Monoma turn and gritted his teeth, seeing his chance. He raised his hand back and shot off a large explosion, leaping him forward into the air.

"Hey, don't just fly off on your own!" Kirishima shouted.

"Tsuburaba! Stop him!" Monoma quickly ordered. Tsuburaba listened and blew into the air, creating a small floating wall. Bakugo landed on the floating wall of air and glared at Monoma's team through the translucent air wall.

"Alright." Tsuburaba said, relieved to stop Bakugo's advance.

"Kosei Tsuburaba. His quirk: Solid Air. He can harden the air to form walls or steps. The bigger the breath, the stronger the shield!" Present Mic announced.

Monoma's team watched with amusement as Bakugo held onto the floating wall of air and began punching the translucent wall in anger. Tsuburaba watched him trying and couldn't hold back his laughter.

"You look pretty stupid fighting with air." He laughed, turning around. Bakugo could see they were about to try and make their escape again and had had enough. He yelled and clenched his fist, punching harder than before. He delivered a powerful punch through the translucent wall and shattered it like glass. He quickly grabbed hold of the headbands on Monoma's neck and gripped them as tightly as possible.

Monoma felt the tugging on his headbands and turned to face Bakugo in shock. Within seconds, Bakugo slipped off the broken wall of air and successfully pulled the headbands off of Monoma's head. Nearly falling backwards into the ground, Sero quickly fired off a line of tape and recaptured Bakugo. Team Monoma took the chance and made a run for it, getting the attention of two Class 1-B teams.

"Team Bakugo nabs two headbands and moves into third place!" Present Mic announced.

"The final moments of the game have been full of shakeups! Oh, to be young again!" Present Mic commented.

Team Monoma ran as fast as they could, avoiding the teams taking advantage of their temporary weakness. Kosei turned his head to the left and blew a wall of air toward their 1-B pursuers. The foreign exchange student with the horns collided face first into the wall of air, getting taken out instantly. Monoma copied Kosei's quirk and blew a wall of air towards Kodai. Kodai's rider, Bondo hit the air wall and fell backwards onto the ground, unintentionally falling onto Kodai. She gave an emotionless yelp.

"Damn it!" Monoma cursed.

"We're still in fourth. It's fine. Kendo's been frozen and hasn't been a real player." Tsuburaba pointed out, getting a nod from Monoma.

"Yeah. If we defend this one to the death, we'll move forward." Monoma said, covering his mouth with the 665 headband.

"I told you to warn us before you jumped!" Sero shouted, reeling Bakugo back in. Bakugo landed back in his teammates hands with an unsatisfied growl.

"Whatever, this means we're advancing." Kirishima said.

"We're not done!" Bakugo growled out.

"Huh?" Sero replied.

"We're gonna be the indisputable champions of the game!" Bakugo shouted, banging his fists on Kirishima's head. Off in the announcer room, Aizawa stared down at the conflict going on between Bakugo and Monoma and sighed.

"Now, look at this. Class 1-B's strategy was a reasonable one, but there's one thing they forgot to consider." Aizawa said.

"I couldn't brace myself earlier when I jumped. Get closer!" Bakugo ordered, forcing his teammates to speed up. Monoma glared at the approaching Bakugo, pissed beyond compare.

"We'll get our points back from this idiot. Then go for the big one!" Bakugo shouted, clenching his fist into a tight ball of pure wrath.

"Heh." Kirishima grinned. Noticing Bakugo referred to the headband as our points. That's teamworking like a man. Sero and Mina also caught Bakugo's words and immediately jumped on board his line of thinking.

"Let's do it!" Sero exclaimed.

"Elbow guy! Tape 'em." Bakugo ordered.

"My name's Sero!" Sero shouted, complying with Bakugo's order. He fired off a line of tape towards the other team. The line of tape quickly flung past Monoma's team.

"You missed." Monoma's team foolishly assumed.

"Raccoon eyes! Lay down some acid in the direction we're going."

"It's Mina Ashido!" Mina said, taking offense. She still followed his orders and sprayed a path of acid on the road ahead. Up in the faculty stands, All Might began to see the same thing that Aizawa saw in Bakugo.

"Young Bakugo. You understand something crucial, a truth no one had to teach you. That there's a difference between those who aim for the top and those who will settle. And that difference matters." All Might thought, watching Bakugo ignite explosions behind his teammates. Their legs stepped foot on the acid and before they could slide on it, the force of Bakugo's explosions pushed them forward.

"Class 1-B didn't take into account Bakugo's overwhelming tenacity." Aizawa explained. Tsuburaba saw the advancing enemies and fired off a wall of air towards them. Bakugo shouted and raised his palm forward, igniting explosions off his hand. He roared loudly and punched the air wall with explosive force, shattering it into pieces and reaching Monoma's neck once more. He gritted his teeth and yanked the last headband off of Monoma's neck, taking away all of their points.

"Bakugo is a merciless force! What a point hog! That was a shield break heard 'round the arena, and I can't wait to watch the replay!" Present Mic exclaimed, listening to the cheers of the audience.

"Now, we're going after Deku and Todoroki." Bakugo shouted, staring back at the wall of ice. When he turned his body towards the ice wall, he raised his eyes upon seeing who else was there.

"Habanero." Bakugo grinned with murderous intent.

After coming up with a new final plan of attack, Team Mineta sprang into action. Shoji charged towards the wall of ice with Ami glaring at the ice over his shoulder. He didn't slow down despite the impending ice wall and put his trust in Ami. Ami tensed her body and felt the flames come back into her mouth. She let out a blast of fire and impacted the ice wall. The heat created steam on the ice that quickly turned the ice into a watery mess. Shoji smiled through his mask and clenched all six of his hands. After melting through the ice, Ami stopped breathing fire and braced for impact. Shoji stared at the melted ice wall and raised all six of his fists and unleashed a torrent of punches into the ice. The force of his punches quickly tore through the already weakened ice, breaking it apart in a large explosion.

Team Mineta entered the large ice prison and watched Team Todoroki and Team Midoriya charge after each other.

"Just as I thought. Shoji, charge!" Ami grinned, taking advantage of Izuku's distraction. Ami glared her eyes at Izuku and noticed the orange glow on her brother's arm.

"He's using One For All." Ami thought, tensing her body. She then noticed the fire on Todoroki's arm and felt her smile morph into a twisted one.

"He's using his left side. Big mistake, Todoroki!" Ami thought, inhaling the fire. Todoroki's eyes widened upon seeing the fire on his arm fly off towards Ami. He looked at her and watched as the flames entered the green haired girl's mouth, surprising him. He kept his surprise locked behind his cold stare.

"Ami took his fire. I can reach the headbands." Izuku thought, seeing the opening. Izuku ignored the fact his arm was still glowing and reached for the headbands. Todoroki gasped at Midoriya's attempt and leaned back, smacking Izuku's arm away with his formerly on fire arm.

"Get back!" Todoroki shouted, getting his teammates to back up instantly. Todoroki raised his right arm and shot off a sheet of ice towards Midoriya. Mei and Ochaco saw the ice forming on Todoroki's arm and pulled Izuku and Tokoyami back, narrowly avoiding getting trapped in ice. Izuku gritted his teeth and deactivated his quirk, taking a look at his arm.

"I missed the headbands, but my hand isn't broken. There's still a chance." Izuku thought.

"Tokoyami!" Izuku shouted, getting Tokoyami to quickly react.

"Dark Shadow, the ice!" Tokoyami ordered, watching as claws formed on Dark Shadow's hands.

"Uh huh." Dark Shadow nodded, clawing at the ice. On the other side of the ice, Todoroki's team was still not in the clear. Todoroki could barely turn around before seeing Shoji charge right up to them with menacing eyes. Todoroki looked at his arm and realized Team Mineta was also taking advantage of his refusal to use his left side. Seeing no alternative, Todoroki looked down at Kaminari and shouted.

"Yaoyorozu! Kaminari!" Todoroki ordered. Yaoyorozu quickly created another blanket and attempted to cover Todoroki, Iida, and herself. Unfortunately for them, Ami had predicted this exact move. She remembered Shoji's grip strength from the fitness tests and the blanket Yaoyorozu made that protected them from Kaminari's electricity and came up with the idea. If they stuck by Todoroki's left side and forced him to use Kaminari to shock them again, they'd have a chance to use the blanket for themselves.

"Shoji, grab the blanket!" Ami shouted. Shoji glared at Yaoyorozu and ran right up to their faces. He tensed all six of his limbs and grabbed hold of the blanket, yanking it off of Yaoyorozu's hands. Yaoyorozu was caught off guard by the quick grab and gasped. Before she could warn her teammates, Shoji wrapped the blanket over Kaminari's face, surprising the electric teen. Todoroki, Iida, and Momo gasped at Shoji's quick movements. With the blanket covering Kaminari, he was useless now. With Kaminari taken care of, they could move on to their next phase of the plan.

"Tsu, get us closer!" Ami shouted. Tsu complied and launched Ami high up into the air. Todoroki stared up at them and made eye contact with Ami's grin. He narrowed his eyes and raised his right arm towards them.

"Mineta, now!" Ami shouted, Mineta popping up over her shoulders. Yaoyorozu saw Mineta pop up over Ami's shoulders and gasped, shocked she'd let him ride on her back. Mineta gave his own twisted smile and screamed, throwing his purple balls down on Todoroki's team. Yaoyorozu, Iida, and Kaminari were defenseless against Mineta's balls and felt them grab hold of their skin and forcibly stick the team together, making them unable to run. Todoroki barely avoided Mineta's balls and shot off ice out of his hand.

"Ten seconds!" Present Mic interrupted.

"Your ice won't work this time!" Ami shouted, releasing her flamethrower at Todoroki's ice. Todoroki put his all in the ice and Ami did the same with her fire. The fire and ice collided in midair and produced a large cloud of steam into the air. Todoroki grunted as the fire overtook his ice, easily melting it down. The whole time Tsu extended her tongue farther and farther until Ami's body got closer and closer to Todoroki's team. Mineta held on for dear life on Ami's back, feeling the intense heat of her flames melt the ice. Being immune to her fire, Ami raised her hand out as she breathed fire on the ice and grabbed Todoroki's right hand. Todoroki's eyes widened at the sight of Ami grabbing his hand and felt her pull him closer. For a split second, his serious stare vanished and was replaced with panic. Ami stopped breathing fire and pulled on Todoroki's hand, pushing his body forward. Ami then raised her other hand up and grabbed hold of a headband. It didn't matter which one it was at that moment. She couldn't even tell which point was which. Not wasting a second, she grabbed a hold of one of them and pulled it off.

"I've got it!" Ami exclaimed, throwing it over her shoulder. Mineta quickly wrapped it around his head and put the headband on. Tsu quickly pulled them back and returned them to Shoji's back. Todoroki looked at them with an intense amount of anger, no longer hiding it behind a cold stare.

He panted in exhaustion and raised his right hand again rather weakly. Gripping onto his right hand with his left hand, he was about to encase them in a giant iceberg until he heard the ice wall behind them cracking open. Todoroki's teammates all looked behind them and gasped one final time as Team Midoriya broke through the ice with Dark Shadow glaring down at them. Todoroki senses became dull. He tried to turn around and stop Dark Shadow but a tongue suddenly wrapped itself on his left arm. He gasped again and looked back at Team Mineta, surprised to see Tsu had held him back using her tongue. The final nail in the coffin in taking advantage of him. Before he knew it, Dark Shadow tugged at his headband with his beak, taking one off.

"No!" Todoroki thought.

"Time's up!" Present Mic announced. Team Mineta quickly stepped back and fell to the floor, finally catching their breath. Team Todoroki did the same and fell to the floor despite being temporarily stuck together. Kaminari could barely see anything and tried looking around.

"What happened? Did we win?" Kaminari asked, his voice slightly muffled through the blanket.

"I'm not sure. Anymore..." Yaoyorozu frowned, struggling to move. Todoroki stared at nothing with wide eyes, panting heavily. He was at a loss of words over what had just happened to him. He looked down at his hands and watched them shaking. Disappointment in himself rang through his mind. He used his left side and that refusal to use it came back to bite him. Despite every chance he had to use his left side, he refused.

"Damn it." He whispered, struggling to stand. He fell off his teammates hands and landed on the ground, concerning his teammates.

"Todoroki, are you okay?" Iida asked, staring down at the grounded Todoroki. Todoroki didn't reply. Instead choosing to stare up at the sky expressionless.

Team Midoriya also had fallen to the floor in exhaustion, unable to hold themselves together.

"That was a close one." Izuku panted, wiping sweat off his forehead. He heard a whistling sound behind him and turned around. He gasped in horror when Bakugo suddenly fell to the ground behind him.

"K-Kacchan!" Izuku panicked, surprised to see Bakugo had snuck up behind them. Bakugo laid on the ground, eyes wide open and teeth clenched, banging his fists on the ground. His teammates quickly ran towards the downed blonde.

"Bakugo!" Sero said, seeing how hard he hit the ground after the times up.

"Are you okay, man?" Kirishima asked, concerned. Bakugo ignored them and kept banging his fist into the ground, cursing to himself. Back on Team Mineta, Shoji and Tsu had fallen to the ground panting. Ami and Mineta were also panting and sweating intensely. Mineta, still attached to Ami, wiped sweat off his forehead and felt dry from the close proximity of Ami's flamethrower. Ami fell to her knees and dropped to the floor, landing on her stomach. She panted heavily in exhaustion while Mineta rolled off of her, taking his balls with him. Feeling his weight off her shoulders, Ami turned her body and laid on her back, staring up at the sky in exhaustion.

"Is that it?" Ami asked.

"I-I think we still lost." Mineta panted, getting a small tired laugh from Ami.

"Yeah, but at least we got a headband. But is it the right one?" Ami asked.

"I don't know." Mineta replied, taking off the headband. He lifted it over his head and read off the number. 615. Mineta looked at the headband and felt a triumphant smile form on his lips.

"You did it, Ami. You grabbed our 615 after all." Mineta smiled, sighing in relief.

"Yay…" Ami panted, relaxing on the ground.

"That was intense! Now let's see who our top four teams are!" Present Mic announced, making finger guns with his hands and waving them around.

"In first place, Team Todoroki."

"We ended in first place, but it was too close for comfort." Yaoyorozu said, crossing her arms. She was happy to finally be free from the sticky balls.

"I'm sorry, I let everyone down, didn't I?" Iida said, slumping his shoulders. He gritted his teeth and held a fist up in shame.

"That's not true. You're the reason we won. Thank goodness for that special move of yours." Yaoyorozu said, cheering up Iida. Kaminari stood beside Iida and helped cheer him up.

"Yeah, man, that was awesome! I'm just happy I made it without short circuiting my brain." Kaminari smiled, giving Iida a thumbs up.

"In second place, Team Bakugo!" Present Mic announced.

"Ugh. We were so close to first place." Mina whined, flicking her hands in embarrassment.

"Meh. Sure. But we're movin' on, so it's all good." Sero said, happy to have made it to the finals.

"I don't think our leader would agree with you. Like at all." Kirishima said, disturbed by Bakugo's rage.

"Gaahhhhhhh!" Bakugo roared, yelling at the ground.

"And third place is Tetsute- wait, what? It's team Shinso? When did they come back from the dead?" Present Mic announced. Shinso stared up at the results with a tired smile. His teammates behind him heard the 3rd place announcement and were left in a state of confusion. Aoyama hid his face in embarrassment while Ojiro looked around in confusion. Hearing his teammates move, Shinso opted to make his exit.

"Thanks for all your help." He smiled, wandering off. Ojiro looked at him and glared.

Hatsume carefully removed her support gear off of Izuku's back, whining to herself about the condition of her items. A sad frown was visible on her face as she inspected the items. Ochaco approached the two with a happy smile.

"Hey, Deku." Ochaco said, getting Izuku's attention. Izuku turned around with his own sad frown, looking upset.

"Guys, I'm...really sorry." He apologized. He used One For All to try and get the headbands, but he was distracted and messed up his only chance. Ochaco and Mei looked at Izuku in confusion before pointing their fingers toward Tokoyami. Izuku looked at them and then at Tokoyami, watching him approach the three.

"I must admit. After your first attempt failed, I thought it was over. But you stayed calm and ordered me to break through the ice. We almost ran out of time. But, luckily Ami kept him distracted and Dark Shadow was able to break through and grab this." Tokoyami said, raising his thumb towards Dark Shadow. Caught in his beak was a single headband. A 615 headband.

"This one's for you, Midoriya." Tokoyami nodded. Dark Shadow also nodded and gave Izuku a thumbs up.

"And in fourth place is Team Midoriya!" Present Mic announced, causing Izuku to break down and cry. Tears burst out of him like a fire hydrant. The force of his tears pushed his body into the ground, burying his legs deep in concrete. Dark Shadow was proud to have taken the headband off of Todoroki. He had Ami to thank for getting rid of Kaminari. However, something was strange about this headband. It looked a little worse for wear compared to the others. A tiny fragment of a plant was attached to it for some reason. The other strange part was how damp it was.

"Why was the headband wet?" Dark Shadow wondered.

"These four valiant teams will advance on to the final round." Present Mic announced, sending the stadium into an eruption of cheers. The four teams celebrated in their own ways. Ochaco smiled at making it to the finals as well as Tokoyami. Ochaco had started petting Dark Shadow while Present Mic made his announcement. Dark Shadow was used to receiving pets from other people and happily allowed Ochaco to pet him. Ami was better, though. Up in the faculty stand, All Might watched Izuku's crying and sighed in relief.

"Good job, Young Midoriya." He thought, glancing towards Team Mineta. He stared at Ami and noticed the sad expression on her face and frowned.

"Poor, Ami." All Might thought, feeling conflicted. On one hand, Izuku made it to the finals. On the other hand, Ami didn't. He trained them, so he felt responsible for both. Back on the battlefield, Todoroki recovered from lying on the ground and stared down at his hand. He watched it shake from the cold and quickly warmed it back up, stopping the shaking. He stared at the steam that came off his hand and sighed.

"I said I'd never use this to attack. But as soon as I was overwhelmed, I broke my own promise." Todoroki thought.

"At this rate, he'll win and I'll end up exactly who he wants me to be." He thought, unaware he was still being watched by his father. Endeavor looked down at Todoroki with an indifferent expression. He won, however, he allowed himself to get distracted. And embarrassed. His refusal to use his flames caused him to mess up nearly three times in a row. Endeavor huffed and walked off, getting the attention of All Might from the faculty stands.

"Alright, let's take a break and get prepared for the next-"

"Hold on." Aizawa said, interrupting Present Mic.

"Huh? What?"

"Look at the scoreboard again." Aizawa pointed out, forcing Present Mic to count. He counted the point total of the four teams and looked at Aizawa in confusion. Aizawa sighed and shook his head, pointing at the point total of 5th place. Present Mic sighed and looked at the number. He read the number and compared it with 4th place and then read it again. Then he read it again. And again. And again. Each time, his hands shook more and more in surprise.

Back on the battlefield, Ami watched Izuku cry from afar and felt a smile form on her face. Sure her team lost but atleast Izuku made it to the finals. She nodded her head in satisfaction and turned around, staring at her teammates who were sitting down and talking to each other. Ami frowned after looking at Tsu's hands. The damage she made touching them while her hands were still hot was starting to fade away. Still, it didn't make her feel any better. She especially felt bad for her behavior during the end of the match. She had given in to anger and formed a plan that could've ended up a thousand different directions. She sighed and decided to walk back over to them, greeting them with a wave.

"Hey, guys." Ami waved, getting returning waves and happy smiles.

"Hey, Ami. Ribbit." Tsu said.

"That plan of yours was excellent. Using Todoroki's left side to our advantage. Stealing the blanket from Yaoyorozu and negating Kaminari's electricity. It was a bold move." Shoji said, getting nods from Mineta and Tsu.

"Yeah, I guess. I'm really sorry, you guys. I kinda lost it at the end there." Ami apologized.

"It's okay, Ami. We know you were only doing your best." Tsu said, making Ami feel better.

"Yeah, and in the end, we got our headband back! Tsu's saliva isn't on it anymore, though." Mineta said, saddened by the loss. He then received a slap on the neck from Shoji.

"Huh? Hey, what the? I can't believe this!?" Present Mic shouted, getting the attention of the entire stadium.

"Hm? What's got Present Mic so shocked?" Ami asked, looking up at the announcer's room. Mineta looked around and glanced at the jumbotron. Upon looking at the jumbotron his eyes widened in shock.

"Ami, look." Mineta said, pointing towards the Jumbotron. Ami saw the hand and followed his finger all the way to the jumbotron screen. Getting a look at the screen, she read the results and felt her soul exit her body.

"You're kidding!" Ami exclaimed, entering denial mode.

"Team Midoriya and Team Mineta are tied for 4th place with 615 points!" Present Mic announced. Sitting in the faculty stands, the teachers were surprised to see the results of the game. None of them could have predicted how close this game had gotten. But to see it end with a tie at 4th place? No doubt this will be a memorable moment in the festival's history.

"A tie?" All Might exclaimed, grabbing the sides of his face with his hands.

"Oh dear. This is a surprising turn of events." Principal Nezu said, surprised by the results. Back in the announcer room, Present Mic's smile was replaced by an unsure frown. He stared at the results and scratched his head in confusion.

"That's never happened before, has it? What the heck do we do?" Present Mic asked, unsure of the rules. Present Mic admittedly only skimmed through the rulebook once.

"Don't ask me. Midnight's the referee here. It's up to her to decide how to proceed." Aizawa said, shifting the problem to Midnight.

"Hmm. What to do with this one? Midoriya did so well holding onto the 10,000,000 for most of the game. On the other hand, Team Mineta made quite the comeback with the Midoriya on their team." Midnight pointed out, unsure of what to do. She peeked her head towards the completely stumped audience and felt a smirk form on her face.

"What do we do about this, audience?" Midnight asked, raising her arms.

"Who do you think should move ahead to the finals?" She asked, inciting the crowds to decide for them.

"She's making us choose?"

"But which team do we pick? They both did excellently."

"Team Mineta had surprisingly good cooperation skills despite how different they all were."

"But Midoriya's team managed to keep the 10,000,000 points away from anyone for most of the game. That's never happened before."

"It's a tough choice."

Backdraft looked down at the talking heroes and stared at the results of the jumbotron. 4th and 5th place both had 615 points. After watching both Team Midoriya and Team Mineta, he had started to root for them both. Both teams had a great mix of quirks that could make for an interesting final. But who to choose? They both performed with their best and gave it their all. He looked at the twins on the battlefield and thought about them.

"Ami. You've changed since I last met you. When I thanked you for getting rid of the fires, you cried and said to me that you were used to people calling your quirk dangerous. Yet, with what I've seen now. I'm sure you realize how wrong they were. You did your best and you deserve to move on to the finals, but…" Backdraft thought, glancing over to Team Midoriya.

"Your brother…. Ami, you asked me if your brother could be a hero even without a quirk. And I answered truthfully back then. And now, to see him here at the sports festival, it's inspiring. You made it to U.A. with your sister. You held off against the first place winner until the very last minute. You stood out amongst your quirked individuals and got far with only your brain and the help of family and friends. However, that glow on your arm. That's not something a quirkless person can do. So what was that?" Backdraft thought, thinking back to his conversation with Ami.

"My brother, Izuku. All his life he's wanted to be a hero. We used to say that when we got our quirks we'd be the best hero duo ever. We wanted to be like All Might so much. But then… I got my quirk. And he didn't." Backdraft thought, remembering how grief stricken Ami appeared when talking to him. The way she talked. The way she hesitated admitting her own mistake. The emotions he saw in her face. It wasn't something you could easily fake.

"I know when someone isn't being honest with me. Ami wasn't lying when she said you were quirkless. Could something have changed between now and the Sludge Villain Incident? Perhaps. But, either way, you managed to make it this far keeping that quirk to yourself. You're something else, Izuku Midoriya. You stood out without using a quirk. And when you can stand out without a quirk, it makes me wonder what else you're capable of. You're definitely someone worth keeping an eye on. That's why it's hard for me to choose which team should move on to the finals. I want to see that quirk again, yet I want to see Ami continue as well." Backdraft thought, thinking about this dilemma. He sighed and glanced back up at the jumbotron, staring at the tied results. He wondered if the twins were as conflicted as he was. From their point of view, it was up to the audience to decide which sibling would move on to the finals. Whichever one moves on, the other twin would lose their chance.

Backdraft sighed and slumped his shoulders. He blessed himself for not having a twin. Looking back down at the jumbotron and at the twins, a thought began to occur in his head.

"What if neither of them had to lose their chance at the finals?" Backdraft thought, thinking the question over. The question repeated several times in his head. The more it repeated, the more he decided to give it a try. He narrowed his eyes and decided to give it a try. He sprang out of his seat and raised his pipe hands up to his mask. The stoic hero sitting next to him took notice of Backdraft standing up and glanced at him in confusion. He wondered what the hero was doing until his answer came loud and clear.

"Both of them!" Backdraft chanted, surprising the stoic hero next to him.

"Uh, Backdraft. What are you doing?"

"C'mon, Wyvern. After all that, you don't think they both deserve to be in the final round?"

"Eh…Well…" Wyvern replied, fumbling in the spotlight. He couldn't deny Backdraft's words. He didn't think watching both teams would elicit so much excitement out of him. Seeing how the twins performed in the cavalry battle was quite the show. He couldn't deny that he thought both of the teams deserved to be in the finals.

"Both of them! Both of them! Both of them!" Backdraft chanted. The stoic hero named Wyvern stared at Backdraft with a blank stare. He glanced down at the battlefield and looked at Team Midoriya and Team Mineta and cracked a smile.

"Oh, what the heck…" Wyvern sighed, giving in to Backdrafts chanting.

"Both of them! Both of them! Both of them!" Backdraft and Wyvern shouted, standing up from their seats. Many heroes sitting around them heard their chants and glanced at one another. They slowly nodded their heads in agreement and felt smiles form on their faces. Eventually, the entire hero section of the stadium broke out into a single voice. Their loud chants get the attention of every attendant in the stadium.

"Both of them! Both of them! Both of them! Both of them!" The hero section stared down at them. In the faculty section, All Might listened to the chants with wide eyes and a proud smile.

"Listen to their chants, young Midoriya's. You did it. Both of you did it. Izuku. Ami. You both stood out on your own and did something not even I could have imagined. This tie was a blessing in disguise." All Might thought, smiling proudly at the twins.

"Well done, twins." All Might said, feeling a tear fall down his eye. Not even he could stop his emotions from coming out.

The results on the jumbotron disappeared and was replaced with a shot of Backdraft inciting the crowd. The students all staring at the jumbotron were surprised to see a hero had started the chant. Among the students, only five of them understood the significance of Backdraft's chanting. Staring up at the monitor, Ami's eyes widened in shock, gasping loudly at the person on the monitor.

"No way…" Ami gasped, covering her mouth. Mineta noticed the tears forming in Ami's eyes and got confused.

"Ami, are you okay?" Mineta asked, concerned.

"It's...Backdraft." Ami muttered out, completely breathless. Ami watched as Backdrafts chanting caught on in the jumbotron footage. Her tears were uncontrollable at this point. Her heart was beating rapidly and she felt the need to blow her nose.

Team Bakugo stared up at the jumbotron with their own reactions. Sero and Kirishima stared at Backdraft chanting on the jumbotron and smiled. That was the hero Ami told them about. The one she hoped was watching. They didn't have to look at Ami to know how she was feeling.

Bakugo raised his head off the ground and glared at the jumbotron. He, too, was surprised that 4th place was tied between the Midoriya twins. It made him happy knowing only one of them would move on to the finals. But, at the same time, it pissed him off knowing he'd only have a chance to destroy one of the twins. So, when the chanting started, he was even angrier. He wanted to know who the hero was that started the annoying chant. Seeing the hero on the jumbotron, he quickly recognized the hero that started the chant. It was Backdraft.

Bakugo's anger subsided upon seeing the hero. He wasn't expecting to see him again after the Sludge Villain Incident. Staring at the jumbotron, he knew full well what that meant to a certain green haired girl. Bakugo glanced towards Habanero and saw she had turned into an emotional wreck. He narrowed his eyes watching her cry tears of joy from seeing her favorite hero chant for her and Deku. Even though her hands were covering her mouth there was no denying the extremely happy smile on her lips. It was a far cry from the scared and frightened look she had in the beginning of the game, which was something he still needed answers about.

Bakugo kept his glare on her and scoffed. He'd give her this one for now. If anything, it gave him the chance to destroy her in the finals. That is, if Midnight caves into popular demand. Midnight listened to the chanting coming from the hero section and watched as the civilian section joined in on the chanting. She gave the audience a satisfied smile, agreeing wholeheartedly with their choice.

"Well, you heard them, Announcers. Who am I to deny the crowd what they want? I think It's pretty clear who should proceed to the finals, don't you? Team Midoriya and Team Mineta take 4th place together! They now proceed to the finals!" Midnight announced, causing the stadium louder than they ever had before. Backdraft and his stoic hero friend fell to their seats with a satisfied smirk. Their chanting worked. Now it was time for both of the twins to deliver. Back on the ground, Team Mineta listened to Midnight's announcement and celebrated.

"We...we did it…Backdraft. Thank you so much. I won't let you down." Ami said, staring at the hero section. Despite help from the jumbotron, Ami could not pinpoint where Backdraft was sitting. She smiled at the hero stands and gave them a thumbs up and a wave. Backdraft stared at Ami from his seat and raised his pipe hand up, creating a giant thumbs up made entirely out of water. He had to let Ami know where he was. Ami looked up at the stadium and saw the giant watery hand giving her a thumbs up. She knew exactly who that was. Feeling her tears get the best of her again, she smiled wide and waved at Backdraft. Backdraft sunk the giant watery hand back into his pipe arm, managing to not get a single hero wet.

"Well, Backdraft. You got your wish. The twins are both going to the finals. You realize they're gonna have to extend the festival, right?" Wyvern said, keeping his stoic expression.

"I know. Isn't that great?" Backdraft asked, clapping his pipe arms together.

"I can't believe we're going to the finals." Tsu said, shocked by the amazing turn of events.

"Let's not disappoint the audience." Shoji said, pounding his fists together.

"Yeah!" Mineta shouted, jumping in the air victoriously.

"Looks like the decisions have been made folks! With both teams taking 4th place and moving on to the finals, we're gonna take an hour lunch break as we demand the media execs to give us more time on television. See you soon!" Present Mic announced, getting out of his seat. He stretched his muscles and forgot to turn off the intercom.

"Hey, Eraser Head. Let's grab some food." Present Mic suggested.

"I'm taking a nap." Aizawa said, staying completely still in his bandaged body.

"I'm so happy that it's over." Tsu said, walking out of the stadium. The remaining 42 contestants exited the stadium through the faculty exit. Some were ashamed of failing while others remained happy. Monoma was upset that 4th and 5th place ended in a tie with even more Class 1-A students entering the finals. Tsu felt the outside again and spotted Team Bakugo, except Bakugo was absent. She went to congratulate them and walked right up to Mina.

"Hey, Mina. Congrats on second place." Tsu said, getting a shameful nod from Mina.

"Thanks, but Bakugo only asked me to join because I could melt Todoroki's ice. It's not, like, you know, I really helped that much." Mina explained.

"Iida, you were holding out on us. I had no idea you could do that!" Ochaco stated, fake running in place.

"Rest assured it wasn't my intention to deceive you, I was just being strategic." Iida said, "I merely wanted to show that I could compete with Midoriya." He clarified, solemnly.

"You're always trying to one-up each other. Oh, speaking of which, where'd he go? Has anyone seen Deku?" Ochaco asked, looking for any sign of him.

"Now that you mention it. Bakugo and Ami are strangely absent, too." Iida brought up. At the faculty entrance just across the way, Izuku and Todoroki stood. They leaned on opposite sides of the wall and stared at each other in silence. Izuku was nervous but put on a brave face as he stared at Todoroki.

"You brought me here. Now what?" Izuku asked, staring at Todoroki in silence. Unbeknownst to them, two people were listening in on their following conversation.

Author's Note: Hello, everyone! So despite saying this chapter might be shorter than most it somehow ended up longer than the last chapter. But I still managed to get it done fast. So I did a lot of things in this chapter.

I had a thought about quirks that exist as functional parts of the body and wondered if they would self activate in the interest of self preservation. Like what animals do to survive against predators. That's when I came up with the idea for Ami's quirk to do that. I don't believe it contradicts anything I mentioned about her and cold temperatures, but please tell me if I made a mistake. In regards to Ami's childhood flashback scene, being born in an area where snow is pretty much impossible, writing about snow became the next best thing for me. I tried to think of good flashbacks that made sense and would fit in with the show and came up with the snow flashback after rewatching the Christmas episode. It provided an example of her quirk self activating. Child Ami didn't have the best control of her quirk when it came to the fire breathing section. Since she focused more on eating flames instead of weaponizing them. Present Ami has a lot more control of her quirk than she did in the past. She can consciously activate her quirk. I previously mentioned this self activation problem in the first chapter when Ami's quirk first manifested from her getting the hiccups. Thanks to growing up and getting used to her quirk she learned to consciously activate it and stop herself from self activating it. That's why Child Ami wore the coat that covered her mouth and Chapter 1 Middle School Ami didn't. Other than reacting to the cold, when Ami got electrocuted it also messed with her fire, which caused her even more pain. That's why she was the only one to blackout from it. Again, if this conflicts with anything be sure to let me know.

You probably noticed Backdraft referred to his stoic hero friend as Wyvern. This is his hero name and not his real name. You can probably guess what his quirk is but I will be leaving it open for debate for now. Though his quirk does relate to his hero name. Including Backdraft in the sports festival was planned, though, originally he would have been watching at home. His appearance in the festival was done to introduce him and Wyvern's personality. Backdraft kinda became nonexistent after season 1 so there was pretty much nothing for me to work off of. He's essentially a new character at this point. Unless Backdraft appears in the manga later on, then that might cause some problems with consistency.

Moving on to the battle itself. The order of things taking place in that episode was oddly confusing to write down. I had trouble figuring out the order I wanted scenes to be in. So, I'm sure many of you expected this would end in a tie. It seemed, for me at least, the most appropriate way to end things off. This also ties into why Backdraft is at the sports festival. I felt if I didn't come up with a good enough reason for why five teams are moving on to the finals then I would've been hanged. Backdraft attending the sports festival was done so that when the time would come, he would be the one demanding both teams move on. He was also there to hint at the next arc since it's not a secret anymore that Ami will be working with Backdraft. Anyways, I hope the justification for five teams entering the finals worked. I tried to make it emotional and stuff, so I hoped you all liked it.

Recently, I was asked how long I planned to write this fic and how far. To answer that question, I will specify the order of things I plan to write about. Season 2 will, of course, be completed. Then after that, I will be writing for the first movie. After the movie is done, I will start writing for season 3. Season 4, however, is likely where I will take a short break. If I write season 4 then I might write about the second movie Heroes Rising.

The next thing is about Archive Of Our Own. This chapter and the last two chapters will be posted later today so I can finally get rid of adding a disclaimer before my author's notes at the end of every chapter. This site and Archive are now caught up. Something else I'd like to mention is the, "eventual romance," tag being added. I don't know the rules in regards to relationships but it's the only romance tag I plan to add. I will not spoil who Ami enters a relationship with by adding spoil tags or writing CharacterXOC in the description. Only I and a few other people know who Ami will end up with. Those other people are readers who have sworn secrecy. To clarify, no relationship spoilers will appear in tags, chapter titles, or anything else. Eventual Romance is the only thing there since I've already made plans for how the relationship will start. Reviews are free game since I'd like peoples opinions on Ami's future relationship.

Next chapter will be different yet mostly the same as the original episode. The Boy Born With Everything. The title might end up being different, too, it depends. But one important thing I'd like to mention is updates to the next chapters progress.

If anyone were to have looked at my bio in the last two days you will have noticed that this chapter was mentioned as 70% complete. To let people know my progress on the next chapters before they release, I will be providing updates through my bio.

Example: Chapter 18 0% complete.

When a chapter reaches 90% on my bio page then it means I am editing it and the release will be soon. I don't encourage people to read my bio everyday but rather once or twice a week so that it'll be easier to wait. Other than that, please leave a review and send me feedback about the chapter. This chapter came out surprisingly long so I hope I didn't mess anything up too bad or missed something. Hopefully, assuming no distractions/or emergencies, I will get the next chapter done this month. Thanks for reading and have a good day!
