Best Jeanist's Agency - Somewhere in Tokyo

"To be perfectly frank, I don't like you very much." Best Jeanist said, stumping Bakugo then and there. Bakugo stared at the back of Best Jeanist's head in utter confusion.

"Huh?" Bakugo questioned, losing all of his guard. Best Jeanist turned around and stared at Bakugo with a stern look of seriousness.S

"I know full well why you chose my agency." He said, staring into Bakugo's dumbfounded eyes.

"Because I'm one of the top five most popular heroes." Best Jeanist said. Bakugo's confusion quickly turned into steadily building anger as he dropped his dumbfounded expression and glared at the Number Four Hero. Habanero's voice appeared in the back of his mind at that moment.

"-I guess I never thought you'd pick him. He just seems a bit far from your type." Habanero said.

"My type?" Bakugo questioned.

"He's nice and you're rude." Habanero stated, bluntly. Bakugo flared his nostrils and scoffed at her statement, smirking in amusement.

"Pfft. If that mattered, he wouldn't have sent me an offer to begin with. I picked him because he's strong and he's got one of the best agencies around." Bakugo explained, returning to reality. He looked down for a split second in annoyance. Something told him that this might've been a bad idea. He let his glare intensify and quickly came to his defense.

"Hey, look, you're the one who made an offer for me." Bakugo stated, making the Hero sigh.

"Yes." Best Jeanist said, closing his eyes. He played with his hair, flicking his hand through it to style it in a perfect position.

"Recently, all my recruits have been perfect little angels, so you certainly stood out." Best Jeanist said, thinking about the blonde's performance at the Sports Festival.

"I watched the way you fought at the Sports Festival. You have a good handle on your powerful quirk, and a decent grasp of its application as well. You're an outstanding talent. I'd say you're already good enough to take on as a sidekick." Best Jeanist complimented, Bakugo didn't budge from the compliments and stared at him with an incredulous glare.

"However, you do have a fatal flaw. You believe you're the best and you display that belief without regard for how it reflects on you or your image. You have a ferocious nature." Best Jeanist criticized, causing Bakugo to flare his nostrils in anger. He grunted and took steps towards the Number Four Hero.

"Don't tell me you brought me here just to give me a lecture!" Bakugo growled, raising his voice. Just as he was getting close to the Hero, he was instantly restrained by his quirk.

"Ah-" Bakugo muttered, feeling air leave his lungs from how tight he was restrained. Best Jeanist manipulated the blonde's costume, forcing his arms to lock together in his chest.

"I have to correct people like you." Best Jeanist stated, watching as Bakugo tried to fight against the strings that held him down. Best Jeanist stared solemnly at him, carefully watching Bakugo's actions. He was tied down with wire tightly wrapping around his arms and legs.

"It's part of my duty to society. Heroes and villains are cut from the same cloth. So your job here is to watch me. I'll show you what makes someone a hero." Best Jeanist said, staring at Bakugo with an intense stare.

"What in the hell are you doing?" Bakugo questioned, glaring at the Hero without fighting back.

"Isn't it obvious?" Best Jeanist asked, making him scoff.

"I'm educating you on becoming an exemplary pro. That includes being aware of the way you speak, your appearance, controlling your emotions, your morals. There are countless things you need to learn, but in the brief period of one week, I will stitch these things into the fabric of your being." Best Jeanist said, receiving a death glare. He ignored the angry expression on his face, knowing that Bakugo was already learning. His quirk could easily be broken by his explosions right now, but the fact he wasn't using his quirk means he knows not to damage property. It said a lot for someone so clearly hotheaded as he was.

The boy had much to learn, but he couldn't ignore what he had already seen. He thought back to the anomaly of Bakugo's performance. His fight with a green-haired girl that breathes fire. The way Bakugo acted at the end of that match left an unexpected impression on him. Somewhere lying deep inside that ferocious nature of his was a heart and he was going to find a way inside.

Ami's Internship - Quirk Museum - Day 1

"Ami Midoriya. Welcome to my internship. I'm glad to have you." Backdraft said, spreading his arms out wide. Ami smiled intensely at him, feeling overwhelmed with joy. Her attempt to stay professional failed spectacularly. She quickly pulled Backdraft into a hug, surprising the water hero.

"Woah!" He said, feeling her arms wrap around his chest. He was caught off guard by her grip, barely having time to respond. The speed in which she hugged him caused him to stumble back, barely losing his balance. Her grip was strong. Alarmingly strong. So strong that breathing became a problem.

"Thank you, Backdraft! Thank you! I'm so happy you sent me an offer!" Ami exclaimed, squeezing him tightly. He felt air escape his lungs as Ami's hold on him increased. Her actions were quickly making it harder for him to breathe.

"Oh, Y-you're wel-welcome!" Backdraft strained, turning blue beneath his costume. He looked around behind Ami and managed to catch a glimpse of Wyvern and Fuego watching him. The fact Fuego was publicly showing himself meant only one thing to Backdraft. He brought her to the Training Room to show her his quirk. He narrowed his eye at the stoic hero with a look of suspicion. Maybe he spoke too soon thanking Wyvern for taking care of her. He heard a snicker at his expense and looked next to Wyvern, standing beside him was the kid that brought him here. He focused his attention back to Ami and struggled to speak.

"I-I appreciate the warm g-greeting, Ami, but, need a-air." Backdraft strained, feeling her grip loosen in an instant. He immediately gasped for air as Ami let go, realizing her mistakes.

"I'm so sorry." She apologized, clasping her hands together in an apology. She blushed a little out of embarrassment for what she did. She realized Wyvern, Fuego, and Hayato had just witnessed a front row seat to the repressed fangirl side of her. Backdraft bent down a bit and panted, putting his pipe hands on his knees. He composed himself and caught his breath, feeling the discomfort of having his lungs crushed begin to go away. He looked up at Ami in confusion, watching her hide her face in embarrassment.

"Her physical strength has improved a ton since I was last face-to-face with her. Is it because All Might trains her class?" Backdraft thought, taking a deep breath and returning to normal.

"Well then." Backdraft said out loud, getting Ami's attention as he readjusted his costume.

"I appreciate the enthusiasm, Midoriya. It's good to finally meet again." Backdraft said, making Ami nod rapidly.

"Thank you, Backdraft, Sir!" She raised her voice in a respectful tone, bowing at him in apology. She was still deeply embarrassed for what she had done.

"I've been trying to see you all morning, but so much got in the way. N-not that what happened before meeting you was a bad thing or anything…" Ami stuttered, correcting herself. Backdraft nodded in understanding, looking at Wyvern with a stern eye. Wyvern saw the look Backdraft gave him and shrugged, knowing he had his reasons. Fuego glared back at him in return, shooting flames upward out of his hoodie in a threatening manner. Wyvern watched smoke fly off his shoulder and flared his nostrils, shaking his head at his angry quirk. He put his hand in the pretzel bag and started eating silently.

"Hmph. Well, you have Hayato to thank for helping me find you." Backdraft said, looking at Hayato with a grateful nod. Ami turned her head and looked at Hayato with a warm smile. Hayato smiled cheesily at her, feeling proud to have helped Ami in some way.

"I found him on the way back. He was about to enter the Hero Area until I stopped him." Hayato said, folding his arms together in satisfaction. Backdraft nodded and tipped his hat at the boy with respect. He was a little thrown off by the cardboard costume he was wearing, but adjusted pretty quickly when he learned where he was heading.

Wyvern listened in silence as the three talked, scarfing down his pretzels with focus. He glanced at his shoulder and watched as Fuego stared at him eating. He looked at the shoulder dragon and narrowed his eyes at him.

"Happy?" He whispered, chewing softly. Fuego narrowed his eyes at him and snarled. Backdraft looked at Wyvern and noticed the staring contest he was in with his own quirk. He turned and faced them with his arms crossed, putting on a stern voice.

"Wyvern."

"Hm?" Both Wyvern and Fuego stopped staring at each other and turned their heads to look at Backdraft, noticing his stern voice. He was annoyed.

"I believe you owe me an explanation for why you took Ami into the Training Room without my permission?" Backdraft demanded. Fuego flared his flames in an intimidation display, doing nothing to change the expression on Backdraft's face. He growled at the water hero, receiving the message. He glanced at Wyvern and flared his nostrils.

"It was his idea." Fuego said, pinning the blame on him. Wyvern heard his quirk say that and looked at his shoulder with a look of anger.

"Hey!" Wyvern exclaimed, watching as Fuego retreated out of his shoulder and slithered back into his neck. Wyvern rubbed the back of his neck and gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"Traitor." He thought.

"Wyvern?" Backdraft said, getting his attention. He looked at him and rolled his eyes, crossing his arms again.

"Just figured I would test her ability. See what she had to offer." Wyvern admitted, throwing his hands up in surrender, "So, I made her use her quirk on Fuego." He stated, feeling the back of his neck light up in flames. He felt the sizzling sound and winced.

"Ow." Wyvern growled, rubbing his neck in pain. Backdraft crossed his arms and narrowed his eye sternly.

"Guessing that didn't sit well with him?" Backdraft asked, making Wyvern scoff.

"Hey, I didn't think she'd actually be able to eat him." Wyvern said, scratching at his neck. Backdraft raised his eye at that, turning to look back at Ami in amazement.

"You did?" He questioned, making eye contact with Ami. She tilted her head slightly and lowered her lips, lightly nodding.

"Well, almost." Ami corrected, making Backdraft nod.

"Nice." Backdraft said, genuinely impressed.

"C'mon." Wyvern grunted, feeling the burning sensation stop on his neck. He stopped gritting his teeth and gulped, flaring his nostrils.

"She's good, Backdraft. Better than I realized." Wyvern stated, making Ami smile a little. Backdraft unfolded his arms and smiled as well, nodding his head in agreement. He looked back at Ami and saw the smile on her face, understanding that she was fine with…whatever happened in here. The smell of smoke was in the air.

"No harm done?" Backdraft asked, staring at Ami.

"No harm done." Ami smiled, nodding her head.

"Alright." Backdraft nodded, looking down at his watch. He noticed the time and heard ruffling from Wyvern's pretzel bag. He raised his head up and stared back at Wyvern as he resumed eating. He went silent and turned around and made eye contact with Ami.

"You haven't eaten anything, have you?" Backdraft asked, looking at Ami with concern. Ami looked up at him and nodded.

"Not since waking up early." Ami mentioned, making Backdraft nod.

"I'm sorry, you must be hungry. C'mon then. We can talk later after you eat something." Backdraft said, walking towards the door. Ami watched the water hero walk towards the door in surprise. She felt her stomach rumble at the mention of food, making her smile.

"Yeah." She said, walking over towards the water hero with her luggage in hand. She glanced at Wyvern as she passed by him, receiving a nod from the stoic hero in silence. She nodded back and left the room, leaving Wyvern and Hayato behind.

"Hmph." Wyvern huffed, hiding his approval behind his stoic face. He closed his pretzel bag and held it between his arm and his chest. He looked up at the ceiling and clapped three times, getting the attention of the intercom.

"Computer, clean up Training Room #1." he ordered, hearing the intercom beep at him in response.

"Cleaning up Training Room #1."

Up on the ceiling, a hole next to the air vent opened up. Three small black drones popped out, flying down to the floor and spraying the surface with cleaner. The other drone scrubbed the floor while another mopped the floor, quickly cleaning the room up. In seconds, all evidence of Fuego's fire disappeared.

"C'mon, Sparky." Wyvern ordered, waving his hand at him. Hayato looked at him with narrowed eyes and flared his nostrils.

"Spark Plug!" He corrected, looking away from him with his nose defiantly in the air. Wyvern smiled and let Hayato leave, closing the entrance to the Training Room.

Quirk Museum - Food Area

"Wow." Ami gasped, looking at the massive cafeteria. The Food Area was like a buffet heaven. Plenty of vendors lined the walls. She recognized the names of many famous fast food joints and restaurants in the cafeteria.

The different smells from their kitchens filled the air with a mouth-watering aroma, making her more hungry than before. She could see inside several of the kitchens through windows behind their front counters. Chefs were hard at work cooking food for the guests.

The cafeteria had massive rows of tables in the middle, seating hundreds of hungry guests. To her left, Ami could see a door that led to the outdoors, showing that there were more places to sit down and eat outside. In the very back of the cafeteria, Ami saw a staircase leading to the second floor. She could see even more guests sitting by tables close to the railing. There were likely tons more guests up there that were out of view.

"This place is huge." Ami complimented, feeling her stomach rumble. She smelled that mouth-watering aroma coming from the kitchens and felt relaxed.

"And smells great, too." She said, rubbing her stomach.

"Is that Backdraft?" A visitor exclaimed, pointing at the water hero. Backdraft heard the visitor say his name and tensed up.

"Let's go see him!" The visitor said to his girlfriend, making Backdraft sigh. Ami heard Backdraft exhale and turned around, looking at his defeated face. She peered behind him and saw a couple heading towards him followed by a growing convoy of visitors.

"Cool!" Another visitor said, walking up to the group.

"Uh oh." Wyvern said, stepping away from Backdraft. The water hero turned around and quietly grunted, waving at them with his pipe hand.

"Why of all times do people recognize me?" Backdraft contemplated, talking loud enough for those close to him to hear. He wanted to talk more with Ami, but now it'll have to wait. He slumped his shoulders and relented, glancing towards Ami.

"Sorry, Ami. I'll be back in a few minutes." Backdraft apologized.

"No problem." Ami said, nodding in understanding. She knew Backdraft didn't want to disappoint the growing crowd by ignoring them. Backdraft turned his head to the left and glanced at Wyvern, who was keeping his distance.

Wyvern, could you-"

"I'll look after her." Wyvern pledged, interrupting the water hero. He knew what he was asking for and obliged.

"Thanks." Backdraft nodded, turning to look at the visitors. He paused and looked back at Wyvern with his pipe hand pointing back at him.

"And don't kill her." Backdraft said, making Wyvern scoff.

"Aw, man. My plan is ruined." Wyvern replied sarcastically, putting on a fake frown and punching the air.

Backdraft shook his head and took a deep breath, accepting his response. He turned back towards the visitors and approached them, tipping his firefighter hat at them in respect. His polite greeting brought smiles to their faces. Ami watched him interact with the visitors and hid her disappointment. She was hoping to talk more with Backdraft, but now it'll have to wait.

"Mm-mm." Wyvern coughed, getting her attention.

"How's it going?" Wyvern asked, looking at Ami with a blank expression.

"Good." Ami replied, not knowing what to say. Wyvern nodded his head at her response, flaring his nostrils and turning around.

"Alright so. There's a lot of food you can order here and not enough time to look at them all, so, you find a table and I'll get you something to eat." Wyvern instructed, surprising Ami.

"Wait what?" Ami asked.

"I'm getting you some food." Wyvern replied, making himself clear. Ami narrowed her eyes at him with a questionable stare, confused slightly. Knowing all the places to get food here she was bound to get lost in indecision. She guessed it was okay for Wyvern to get food for her.

"Okay." Ami nodded, making Wyvern smile.

"Great." Wyvern said, giving Ami a thumbs up. He immediately turned around and headed towards the kitchen, leaving Ami staring at him in confusion. He walked by several visitors on his way to the kitchen without getting a single glance, confusing her even more.

"How come no one's noticed he's a hero?" Ami questioned, wondering how he was doing that so easily. She shrugged and shook her head, turning to look at Hayato with a smile.

"Know a good table?" She asked, receiving a nod.

"Mhm. It's this way. Follow me!" Hayato said, tugging at Ami's arm. Ami followed close behind Hayato as he took her around the massive row of tables. As she was getting pulled by Hayato, she'd noticed some of the visitors would smile at Hayato's costume.

"They see Hayato just fine?" Ami thought, feeling like she shouldn't question Wyvern at that point. Hayato took her towards the back of the cafeteria where the staircase leading upstairs was. She wondered if Hayato was going to take her upstairs until he suddenly turned left. Instead, they reached a small corner around the staircase and came to a stop next to a couple of tables with booth seats.

"Here." Hayato said, letting go of Ami. He rushed towards the empty booth seat and jumped on the cushion. He took a seat and patted the table with his hands, gesturing for Ami to come sit down.

"Sweet." Ami smiled, nodding her head in thanks. Her praise made him smile even wider, giving him a feeling of satisfaction.

Ami took a seat and relaxed, placing her luggage under the table using her legs. She reclined into the booth and felt comfortable. To her surprise, the cushion on her back was incredibly soft.

"Hey. These seats are pretty comfortable." Ami pointed out, smiling in relaxation.

"That's why I always eat here." Hayato agreed, also relaxing in the seat.

A couple minutes later, Wyvern appeared in Ami's vision. Ami turned her head to look at him and saw the metal tray in his hand, seeing steam come off it. She licked her lips at the sight of the steam, hearing her stomach growl. Hayato also licked his lips at the steam, wanting to know what was on it. She sat up straight to get a better view as Wyvern reached the table.

Sitting on the tray was a steaming hot sandwich with potato chips on the side. He also had a bottle of water on his other hand.

"Bon appetit." Wyvern said blankly. He dropped the metal tray onto the table as well as the bottle of water. Ami saw the sandwich and smiled.

"Wow, that was quick. Thanks." Ami said, complimenting his speed and giving him a grateful smile. Wyvern's face didn't budge. He nodded and pulled up another chair from an empty table, dragging to the edge.

"Thanks. I work fast." He replied, calmly taking a seat with them. Hayato looked at the food on Ami's tray and felt his stomach growl, making him realize something. He glanced at Wyvern with a questionable look.

"What about my plate?" Hayato asked, looking at Wyvern with a frown. Wyvern looked at him and shrugged, blowing air out of his mouth.

"Hey, she's the guest here, not you." Wyvern pointed out, making Hayato narrow his eyes at him. He groaned and stood up, jumping off the booth seat.

"I'll be back." He grumbled, performing a walk of shame towards the kitchen. It was meant to make Wyvern feel bad, but all it accomplished was making him smirk. He quickly sped up and reached the kitchen at lightning fast speeds, leaving Ami alone once again with the stoic hero.

She noticed his subtle smirk and wondered if he had done that on purpose. Either way, she put her attention on the sandwich in front of her and smiled, grabbing it with both hands. She took a bit out of the sandwich and savored its taste. It wasn't that bad. Actually, it was delicious. Tasted just like Lunch Rush's cooking at UA High. Almost.

Wyvern picked a good sandwich. She continued to take bites out of it as Wyvern stayed silent. She could tell he was watching her eat, confusing her a lot. In her peripheral vision, she could just barely see Wyvern staring at her with slightly raised eyes. He was looking at her like he was frozen, making her feel a bit uncomfortable. She took one last bite before putting the half eaten sandwich down, staring directly at Wyvern's eyes. That seemed to have done the trick as he quickly acted natural.

"What?" Ami asked, wondering why he was looking at her so oddly. He leaned back into his chair and looked up at the ceiling with arms crossed, acting casual.

"Nothing. Nothing." Wyvern said, making her more confused. He twisted his neck around and looked at the doors, watching Backdraft continue to greet visitors that recognized him. He twisted back around and changed the subject, clearing his throat.

"Well, since Backdraft'll be busy, you have any more questions for me?" Wyvern asked, making eye contact with Ami. Ami stared back at him with a confused look, feeling suspicious about him. She nodded slowly and wiped her mouth with her napkin, never breaking eye contact.

"Yeah." She replied.

"Ask away." Wyvern said, getting comfortable, "Oh. And, uh, sorry about earlier again." He apologized, receiving a nod.

"It's all right." She said, accepting his apology. She took a drink of water and narrowed her eyes, looking at him solemnly. He was acting strange but she accepted it. She didn't want to lose her chance to have him answer some questions, and she had a few. For now, she'd start simple.

"Who are you?" Ami questioned, putting her hands under her chin. Wyvern raised his eyebrow at the question. It sucked but he'd answer it.

"I'm a hero." Wyvern replied, keeping his arms crossed. Ami rolled her eyes at the obvious answer, going into further depth.

"That's obvious, but, I don't mean to be rude, but, how come no one approaches you? You're in full hero costume and everything." Ami pointed out, getting a nod from Wyvern in understanding. He blew air out of his mouth and continued.

"Yeah. That does seem pretty strange. The reason for that is I'm not exactly what you'd call a high profile hero." Wyvern flatly admitted. He unfolded his arm and stared at his fingers, silently counting, "I'm probably somewhere in the hundred thousands on the hero ranking." He said, getting a questionable look of surprise from Ami.

"Hundred thousands? Geez, not even Backdraft's that low." Ami thought, hiding her shocked reaction. She kept her composure and continued to look at him with curiosity, putting her hands on her lap.

"Even so, shouldn't at least one person around here recognize you? It doesn't bother you or anything?" Ami asked, receiving a shrug from the stoic hero.

"Not really. If anything, not being noticed helps me move around easier. Plus, I'm not entirely from around these parts." Wyvern admitted, getting Ami to raise her eyebrow in curiosity.

"Where are you from?" She asked, getting interested. She leaned in slightly and waited for the answer.

"Okinawa. Born and raised." Wyvern answered, truthfully. A subtle smile appeared on his lips, thinking fondly of his home in his head. Ami looked at the emotion forming on his lips and smiled, feeling she was getting somewhere.

"He's far from home." Ami thought, thinking about how far Okinawa was from the mainland.

"Do you miss home?"

"Of course. Who wouldn't miss their own bed? And breakfast, too." Wyvern said, patting his stomach, "My mom always cooked the best." Wyvern answered, closing his eyes in peace. Despite the stoic expression on his face, Ami could tell he was happy.

"I can relate." Ami smiled, thinking about her own mom's cooking. Wait. His own bed?

"Wait. You still live with your parents?" Ami asked in a low voice, looking at him with wide eyes.

"Of course not! I'm just saying!" Wyvern said, raising his voice in offense. He looked at her with an annoyed sneer. Ami giggled at his expense, covering her mouth with her hand.

"Hahaha." Fuego laughed inside Wyvern's mind, annoying him.

"Shut it." Wyvern thought. He looked at her with a stoic face and waited for her to return to normal.

"So what brings you here in Hosu?" Ami asked. Wyvern returned to his stoic face and looked at Ami with a solemn stare.

"Why are you here?" He asked, puzzling her. She narrowed her eyes at him in confusion and replied.

"My internship." Ami answered, folding her arms together. Wyvern looked down for a couple of seconds before flaring his nostrils.

"The guy who owns this place invited me to stay for a few weeks. He's an old friend of mine, so I accepted." He answered, leaning back further in his seat.

"Oh? Who is he?" Ami asked, curiously. She was wondering who the owner of the Museum was. She hadn't seen or heard anything about him. She probably should've looked the place up online now that she thought of it. Wyvern shook his head a little and shrugged, waving his hand at her.

"Eh. Backdraft'll probably fill you in. He was invited here by the guy, too." Wyvern admitted.

"Really?" Ami asked, tilting her head a little.

"Huh. Is that why we're here? If so, does that mean I'll meet him soon?" Ami thought, putting it all together in her head. She remembered the earlier conversation they had in the Training Area and thought about the Sports Festival. She remembered seeing Backdraft on the jumbotron along with Wyvern sitting next to him, making her curious.

"How do you know Backdraft?" Ami asked.

"Would you believe me if I said he's my sidekick?" Wyvern asked, getting a blank look from Ami. Ami narrowed her eyes in denial and suspicion, going silent. Wyvern scoffed at her reaction, amused by her denial.

"Ouch." Wyvern said, putting a hand on his heart, "At least pretend to be amazed." He said, pretending to be hurt. Ami loosened her eyes and smirked at him, amused by his fake hurt. He folded his arms again and answered more honestly.

"Backdraft Isn't my sidekick. And I'm not his sidekick, either. So don't ask." Wyvern stated, raising his finger at her in an accusatory stance, getting a nod from Ami.

"Alright. So why were you at the Sports Festival with him?" She asked, getting a quick reply.

"He invited me." Wyvern said, telling the truth.

"Can we switch this around? I've got a couple questions I've been dying to ask you." Wyvern mentioned, catching her attention. She was surprised he had questions for her.

"Sure. What is it?" She inquired. Wyvern nodded and dived straight into his question. He recalled the moment Ami saw Fuego in his head and focused on her reaction.

"When you saw Fuego. You said you were surprised and terrified, but it wasn't something you hadn't seen before." Wyvern recalled, making Ami nod in remembrance.

"What did you mean by that?" Wyvern asked, making Ami lean back into her seat. She blew air out of her mouth and brushed loose hair away from her face, looking up at the ceiling in remembrance of an old friend.

"I guess it's because the idea of living flames isn't new to me." Ami admitted, clasping her hands together on her lap. Wyvern raised an eyebrow at her, waiting for an explanation with curiosity.

"Before I went to UA High, I had a friend that also had a fire quirk." Ami said, referring to her old orange-haired friend. She thought back to before her quirk manifested and remembered the orange-haired girl sitting alone during recess.

"We didn't talk much at first. Before my quirk appeared, she would always stay close to her desk. Always smiling, laughing, and talking with the other kids, but she'd never play with them. I always thought it was strange but I never asked." Ami explained, getting caught up in her answer.

"Then, after my quirk appeared, I accidentally ruined her desk. I thought she would hate me, but soon after, I found out why she never played with anyone." Ami explained, remembering the moment.

Ami sat in her seat in the classroom in sad silence. Everyone was avoiding her. Kids she talked to and played with before had opted to ignore her, making her feel worse. She stared down at the floor in shame, doing her best not to cry. Then she felt a tug on her jacket.

"Psst. Psst. Hey." A girl whispered, getting Ami's attention. She raised her head up and turned around, making eye contact with a girl with orange hair. Ami stayed quiet, recognizing her as the other student whose desk she had accidentally destroyed. She looked at her with fear, wondering why this girl was tugging at her jacket and not avoiding her. In all likelihood, she was probably there to tell her how awful and scary she is.

"Go away." Ami whispered with a strained emotional tone. The orange haired girl frowned at her and felt sympathy, squeezing her hands.

"You have a fire quirk, right?" The girl asked, making Ami tense up in fear. Here it comes. The moment she was expecting. Pretty soon she'd probably shout at her. Attack her maybe since she was brave enough to tug at her jacket.

"I said-" Ami spoke up, looking at the orange haired girl with sad eyes. Before she could end her sentence, something unexpected happened. The orange haired girl hugged her, making Ami freeze. She hugged Ami for a long time, confusing her but making her feel better.

"It's okay. I have a fire quirk, too." She whispered, stunning Ami. She heard her clearly, making her feel relieved. In seconds, Ami's tears flowed out of her as they hugged it out.

"After that moment, she became the first friend I made after my quirk manifested." Ami explained, thinking of another past memory.

"Check it out, see?" The same orange haired girl from before waved her hand in the air, excitedly. Ami stared up at her glowing hand and gasped through her puffy jacket.

"Her quirk let any part of her body catch on fire." Ami explained.

The girl messed around with her quirk and concentrated, feeling her hand replace skin with a fiery outline. Her entire hand was consumed in flames, reaching all the way to her wrist. Amazingly, the human shape of her hand was still present despite literally being made of flames.

"Oooo!" Ami said, clapping at her friend's accomplishment. She danced around with the flames on her hand still burning, kicking up smoke. Then the flames accidentally reached her sleeve, setting part of her shirt on fire.

"Ah!" She panicked, flailing around while Ami watched in a panic.

"Put me out! Put me out!" She shouted, jumping up and down. Ami opened her mouth and inhaled, activating her quirk. Her fiery hand quickly returned to normal as the flames flew off it, flying into Ami's mouth.

"Phew!" She said, wiping sweat off her forehead. She looked at Ami and smiled happily, feeling accomplished.

"Thanks, Ami." She smiled. Ami let the memory end and smiled, fondly. Wyvern nodded with his hand on his chin, trying to imagine what that might have looked like. He was impressed.

"So, her hand turned into actual fire?" Wyvern questioned.

"Uh huh." Ami nodded.

"And when you inhaled, the flames just flew right off her and she had a normal hand again?" Wyvern questioned, receiving another nod.

"Huh. Well, that could've been morbid." He commented, making Ami squint her eyes in confusion. She thought about it more and realized what he meant. Her hand was literally made of fire, yet inhaling it took the flames off and left her with a normal hand. She was lucky that didn't just make her hand disappear.

"So any part of her body could turn into fire? Has she ever tried her whole body?" He questioned. Ami shook her head in response, placing a hand on her chin.

"I think the furthest she ever got was the top half of her body." Ami said, remembering another attempt made during their time at middle school. She returned to the present and stared at Wyvern who was carefully analyzing her, looking silently at her with narrowed eyes.

"Interesting." He said, staring intently at Ami. The extra serious expression on his face was starting to make her feel uncomfortable. She gulped and rubbed her hands together anxiously under the table.

"What was that other question?" Ami asked, hoping he'd change his expression. Instead he leaned back on his seat and continued his narrowed stare at her.

"What's the deal with your brother?" He asked, making her gulp.

"What? What deal?" Ami questioned, tilting her head slightly in confusion.

"Backdraft told me about how you met him." Wyvern said, getting Ami's attention.

"He talked about me?" Ami interrupted, temporarily overjoyed. She quickly returned to normal and took a deep breath.

"Sorry. He told you how we met?" Ami questioned, keeping herself restrained.

"Yeah. He told me about the Sludge Monster Incident. How you and your brother both rushed out to save that blonde classmate of yours. That was pretty brave." He commended, making Ami nod.

"Thank you." She smiled in appreciation. Wyvern nodded in return and finished his sentence.

"I mean, it was dangerous and stupid, but pretty brave." Wyvern said, putting her mood down.

"I would've done the same if I were in any of your shoes." He added, truthfully. That helped elevate Ami's mood, feeling slightly better.

"Thank you." Ami said, agreeing completely.

"Uh huh." Wyvern replied, "But, Backdraft also said you told him your brother was, "quirkless?" Wyvern asked, raising his fingers up and down in emphasis.

"Oh, I remember that…" Ami thought, stuck between fondly and dreading the memory. She did say those things to Backdraft, but she had no idea All Might would give Izuku a quirk that day, either.

"Then, months later, he finds out that not only are you two going to UA, but your brother somehow has an incredibly powerful quirk all of a sudden. What's the story behind that?" Wyvern questioned, raising an eyebrow. Ami looked at him and kept her cool, gulping a second time.

"Story? Oh, it's not that big. He's just a late bloomer, is all." She explained, laughing it off. Wyvern didn't budge or lower his eyebrow.

"His quirk manifested that late into his life?" He questioned.

"Yup." Ami said, plainly. She had the blankest smile on Earth on her face, making Wyvern suspicious. He stared at her with a stoic expression, peering into her soul.

"Interesting. A late bloomer? Still doesn't explain why it's so different from yours." Wyvern pointed out, but Ami was quick to explain.

"Oh. He has a mutated quirk, that's why it's so different from mine." She answered, fast. Wyvern loosened his eyebrows and nodded slowly in understanding.

"So, mutated and a late bloomer. Really drew the short end of the stick in life, huh?" Wyvern said, loosening up more. Ami internally sighed with relief, keeping up her blank smile.

"It's not that bad. He's making it work." Ami said, in defense of Izuku. Wyvern shook his head a bit in response, shrugging his shoulders.

"I guess, if you consider breaking your arms as making it work." He said, rhetorically.

"Anything else you wanted to ask me?" She inquired. Wyvern kept a serious stare on his face as he looked at Ami. He nodded slowly and leaned back into his seat, glancing at the mostly eaten sandwich on the metal tray.

"So, you're fireproof, aren't you?" Wyvern asked, confusing Ami.

"Of course." Ami answered, getting a nod from the stoic hero.

"Hmph. That makes sense." Wyvern said, rubbing his neck in defeat, "Well, it was a good idea, Fuego." He stated in defeat, confusing Ami.

"Hm?" She mumbled, wondering why he mentioned Fuego. She quickly assumed they were talking to each other in Wyvern's mind.

"What are you talking about?" Ami said, noticing Wyvern's eyes were on her sandwich. She tilted her head and grabbed the bread, lifting it up to see inside. She looked at the sauce atop everything and felt her eyes twitch, feeling her stomach churn. She had no idea what it was but it was definitely more than mustard.

"What did you do to my sandwich?" She demanded, making Wyvern chuckle slightly in amusement.

"Hehe. Just added about every spice I could grab from the kitchen." Wyvern admitted, making Ami glare at him.

"Seriously?" Ami growled, grinding her teeth. Wyvern looked at the angry expression on her face and smirked, stoically.

"Hey, Fuego's idea, not mine." Wyvern smiled, holding his hands up in innocence. He leaned back into his chair with hands behind his head, guilt free.

"It's your body." She pouted, putting the bread back on the sandwich.

"Yeah. That's true, but I was also a little curious, so I went along with it." He nodded. Ami looked back down at the sandwich and sighed, grabbing it and finishing it off. Wyvern watched Ami finish the sandwich off with slightly wide eyes. She gulped down the sandwich and washed it down with water, finishing her food. There was no reaction to the vast amount of hot sauce he put in her sandwich. She was completely unaffected and looked at him with a smug grin on her lips.

"Huh." Wyvern said, blinking a few times. He was impressed by her immunity to spicy foods, feeling somewhat jealous. He composed himself and acted normal again. Ami dropped her smug smile and narrowed her eyes.

"How many times are you going to mess around with me?" She asked, looking at Wyvern with a stern look and a frown of disapproval.

"Only when I wanna figure out something else about you." Wyvern said, smirking like the devil.

"You're lucky, though." Wyvern said, causing Ami to raise her eyebrow, "My tolerance to spicy food isn't anywhere near yours. What's your limit?" He asked, getting a suspicious glare from her. She contemplated not answering that question, but his casual mention that he isn't as immune to spicy foods as she is had given her an idea.

"Anything hotter than a ghost pepper." Ami answered, getting Wyvern to whistle.

"Ha. I'll have to get my hands on some." He said, nodding his head in amazement.

"Hmph. I think I'll be serving myself from now on." Ami scoffed, looking at him with disapproval.

"Lame." He stated, already thinking up more ideas.

"No way. You ate your food already." Hayato said, surprising Ami and Wyvern. They turned their heads to the right and made eye contact with Hayato. Ami's smile returned to her at full force.

"Hi, Spark Plug." Ami greeted, smiling happily.

"Hi, Ami." Hayato replied, happy to see her.

"Hey, Sparky." Wyvern said, raising his hand up a little and waving at him. Hayato glared at him and shook his head.

"Spark Plug." He corrected.

"What'd you get?" Ami asked.

"Pizza!" Hayato exclaimed, putting his tray on the table. Ami scooted herself to the right, giving Hayato space. He jumped up onto the cushion and took a seat beside Ami.

"Sounds yummy." Ami grinned, looking at the pizza on his tray.

"It is." Hayato nodded, looking at Ami. He frowned a bit at the empty tray next to her. He was hoping that it wouldn't take long for him to get some food.

"Sorry for taking so long. The lines were full." Hayato frowned.

"No problem. We're not leaving anytime soon." Wyvern stated, causing Ami to frown again.

"He's still busy?" She asked, getting a quick nod from Wyvern.

"Yeah… They just keep talking." Wyvern said, watching Backdraft chat with a couple. He raised his eyebrow at the interaction, noticing the way Backdraft was moving his pipe arms around. Backdraft spread his pipe arms out far as if he was holding something huge, making the couple he was talking to laugh. Wyvern tilted his head in annoyance, realizing he was telling that story again.

"Ugh. Not that fish and apartment fire story, again…" Wyvern thought, shaking his head at him. He turned around and reclined in his seat, watching Hayato dig into his food. Hayato was saying something to Ami while he ate, but he didn't listen. He didn't listen to anything they were saying, choosing instead to listen to the voice in his head. He stared slightly upwards and closed his eyes.

"What are you thinking, Fuego?" Wyvern thought, staring off into space. He listened to his thoughts and heard a growling noise echoing through his head, followed by a deep monstrous voice.

"About?" Fuego asked.

"About Ami?" Wyvern asked, hearing an annoyed growl in response. He knew what Fuego's growls sounded like when he was annoyed.

"I don't like her." He admitted, making Wyvern curious.

"Really? After all that we've seen?" Wyvern asked, raising his eyebrows in surprise.

"She almost ate me." Fuego growled, making Wyvern scoff.

"How could I forget?" He asked, rolling his eyes at his quirk. He reopened his eyes and kept his eye on Ami, "Was her quirk giving you that much trouble?" He asked.

"Yes." Fuego admitted, making Wyvern frown.

"That bad, huh?" He asked, receiving a growl. He nodded and continued, "So, if you hadn't revealed yourself like that-"

"She would've eaten me." Fuego answered, finishing Wyvern's sentence.

"Impressive, huh?" Wyvern smirked, making Fuego growl once more. Not even he could deny that at this point. After what he and Wyvern saw at the Sports Festival. The potential was there.

"Mhm." Fuego said, receiving a nod from Wyvern.

"Hey, Spark Plug?" Ami said.

"Huh?" Hayato muttered, looking up at Ami with a slice of pizza in his hand.

"Isn't that greasy?" Ami thought, looking at the clean gloves on his hand.

"Yeah." Hayato nodded, keeping his mouth open to bite. He took a bite out of it and chewed, getting a concerned look from Ami.

"Shouldn't you take your gloves off then?" She questioned, getting Hayato to stop eating. He paused and looked over at her, slower than usual. Wyvern heard the question and snapped out of his internal conversation, glancing at Hayato's hesitant expression. He raised an eyebrow at him in confusion for a second, wondering why he was so reluctant in explaining to her. He narrowed his eyes in thought.

"Wait a minute, Sparky? You didn't tell her about your quirk?" Wyvern thought, realizing the reason for his hesitation. He wondered what was going to happen next.

"Uh…" Hayato fumbled, putting the pizza slice on his tray. He swallowed the piece of pizza in his mouth and looked down at his gloved hands. There was a little tiny bit of grease on it, making him frown.

"Um, yeah, but..." Hayato said, looking up at Ami with a reluctant expression. Ami noticed the look on Hayato's face and felt her smile drop down, making her question the problem.

"What's wrong?" Ami asked, staring at Hayato with worry. Hayato stared back at Ami with a gulp and clasped his hands together, rubbing them repeatedly out of habit.

"I can't…take them off." He admitted, shyly and quietly. Ami barely heard the answer, making her tilt her head a bit in confusion.

"Hm? What do you mean?" Ami questioned. All of a sudden, a familiar voice spoke up to her left. The three of them all looked up to see Backdraft returning with a satisfied posture.

"Ugh. Finally, all taken care of." Backdraft said, appearing in Ami's sight. Ami looked at Backdraft with a confused expression on her face and heard shuffling from Wyvern. She turned her head around and watched him stand up.

"About time!" Wyvern exclaimed, standing up out of his seat. He raised his arms out and started stretching them, yawning in the process.

"I thought you'd never come back." Wyvern said, relieved by Backdraft's unintentional save from the awkward situation.

"Hey, Backdraft." Hayato exclaimed.

"Hello, Spark Plug." Backdraft said, reminding himself of the hero name the boy said to refer to him as. Hayato heard Backdraft use his hero name and smiled victoriously. The nervousness and anxiety he felt a minute ago had quickly passed.

"Mmm. Nice pizza." Backdraft complemented, looking down at the pizza on Hayato's tray.

"Thanks!" Hayato said, smiling big and wide. Ami kept staring at Hayato in confusion, watching him go from nervous to energetic in seconds. She stayed silent and replayed that moment in her head.

"I can't…take them off." Hayato's shy voice echoed through her head. Ami contemplated the reply and the tone in his voice with concern, wondering if she had said the wrong thing.

"What did he mean by he can't take them off?" Ami questioned inside her head, looking at Hayato's happy face. His smile made her heart return to a normal pace. She hoped she didn't make him feel uncomfortable or upset him too badly. She gulped and hid her worry, putting the thought aside for now and focusing on Backdraft.

"Sorry for the wait. Everyone wanted to get a picture with me. Lots of questions from kids and their parents, too. I had a talk with one of them. Really polite." Backdraft stated, grabbing a chair from one of the empty tables.

"Anyways- Oh. You finished eating already. Enjoy the meal?" Backdraft asked, looking at Ami with curiosity. Ami had a small smile on her face and nodded slowly in response, still distracted somewhat by Hayato. She remembered what Wyvern did to the sandwich he gave her and formed an annoyed scowl.

"Yeah. It was…good." Ami stuttered, glancing at Wyvern with a side glare. Wyvern caught the side glare and nodded slowly, smirking a little bit.

"Good to hear." Backdraft said, glancing at the watch on his pipe arm.

"Hm. It's two o' clock…" Backdraft sighed, shaking his head lightly, "It's already too late to head out. Can't test you, either. Guess I can just show you around for today. How's that sound?" Backdraft said, getting Hayato's attention.

"That'd be great." Ami smiled, scooting out of her booth seat.

"Splendid. Let's get started then." Backdraft instructed, getting a nod from Ami.

"We'll be off now, do you two want to come along?" Backdraft asked, making Hayato happy.

"Yeah!" Hayato said, getting out of the booth seat. He started to rush over to Backdraft and Ami but was forced to stop after walking by Wyvern.

"Hey!" Wyvern said, grabbing hold of Hayato's cape. Hayato felt the tug on his cape and came to a complete stop before he could accidentally yank himself.

"Eat first, tour later, kid. I know you're hungry." Wyvern said, solemnly. Hayato frowned in response, dropping his shoulders in disappointment.

"Aww." Hayato groaned, heading back to his seat in sadness. Backdraft and Ami watched him return to the booth and felt bad. Wyvern turned his head around and nodded at Backdraft.

"We'll catch up in a couple minutes. Don't worry, he'll probably eat fast." Wyvern assured, turning his head back at the table.

"Alright then. See you in a few." Backdraft nodded, continuing to walk. Ami followed close behind him, turning her head around to glance at Hayato.

"See ya later, Spark Plug!" She exclaimed, making him raise his head up and make eye contact with her. He smiled and waved at her with joy.

"See ya!" He exclaimed, returning to eating the pizza on the tray. Wyvern also waved but didn't get a goodbye, making him chuckle.

"Didn't say goodbye to me, huh?" Wyvern mumbled under his breath with an amused smirk. Outside of combat, her ability to deal with difficult people was impressive to him. He dropped his smirk and returned to his default stoic expression, glancing at the sad expression on Hayato's face. He was eating the rest of his food rather quickly, making it very clear that he wanted to stick around Ami for as long as he could.

"Got spare gloves in that backpack?" Wyvern asked, getting Hayato's attention.

"Yeah…" He nodded, eating fast.

"You're gonna have to put them on after you finish eating, you know?" He reminded him, causing Hayato to pause for a second. Wyvern lifted his head up slightly with interest as Hayato resumed eating.

"I know…" He replied, taking another large bite. He kept his face hidden as he chewed softly. Wyvern kept a close eye on his face, frowning a little.

"So, Sparky. Told her your hero name, but not your quirk?" Wyvern pointed out, looking at Hayato with a stoic face.

"I didn't think about it." Hayato admitted, holding the slice of pizza in his hand. He looked at the small slice and threw the whole thing in his mouth, finishing up eating. Wyvern listened to the tone of his voice and sighed, nodding in understanding.

Quirk Museum - Main Plaza - Midday

"You've really changed a lot since we last spoke." Backdraft said, referring to their interaction after the Sludge Incident. Ami looked at Backdraft with a nod in acknowledgment. She stood tall and grinned with pride while Backdraft advanced ahead, putting distance between them.

"Really?" She asked, getting a nod from the water hero.

"Mhm. For starters, you're in UA!" Backdraft said, making her smile.

"You know, I also went to UA a long time ago." Backdraft mentioned, making Ami remember the Hero Area.

"I know." She replied, slightly surprising Backdraft.

"Oh?" He questioned.

"I saw your portrait in the Hero Area." She explained.

"Ah." Backdraft nodded in understanding, "Then you must have seen I was in 1-B?" He asked, getting a nod.

"Yeah, I saw." Ami said, hearing Backdraft chuckle some more.

"Compared to me, you're off to a great start being in Class 1-A. I'm proud to have you interning with me." Backdraft said, making Ami's smile warmly at the praise. She felt her heart start beating faster out of joy.

"He's proud of me! Is this how it felt whenever All Might praised you, Izzy?" Ami thought, feeling giddy inside. She composed herself and repressed her inner fangirl. Physically, she kept a normal appearance. Mentally, she was squealing and jumping around in joy.

"I also noticed your brother has a quirk now." Backdraft asked, interrupting Ami's joy. She heard the question and squeezed the handle of her luggage, feeling her defenses rise up.

"Oh, yeah. Turns out he's just a really late bloomer. Haha. It's a whole different thing compared to mine, too." Ami said, quickly coming up with an explanation.

"His quirk is mutated?" He asked, receiving a nod.

"Yup." She answered, making Backdraft ponder the possibility.

"Hm…Might explain the delayed manifestation. Scary powerful I'll admit. Hmph. Bet that must have surprised the students that made fun of him." Backdraft chuckled, amused by the thought. Ami smiled at the comment, remembering the exact words she told him about Izuku.

"Yeah…" She replied, glancing at the floor in thought. The comment caused her to think about all of their former classmates from middle school. She had contact with none of them since going to UA. She started to wonder how most of them reacted to watching Izuku in the Sports Festival. If they even watched at all.

"Hehehe. Well, congratulations for making it to UA. Izuku, as well." Backdraft said, making Ami smile appreciatively.

"Thank you, sir." She replied, graciously.

"Mhm. Yeah, it really caught me by surprise seeing you three again at the Sports Festival. You, Izuku, that blonde kid. What was his name again?" He asked, trying to remember his name. Ami smirked a bit at the mention of the blonde. He'd probably be angry that Backdraft didn't remember his name.

"Bakugo." She answered, getting a thankful nod from Backdraft.

"Right, Bakugo." Backdraft said, waving his pipe hand at her in thanks.

"Nice fight, by the way." Backdraft said, making Ami nod.

"Thank you." Ami replied, getting a chuckle out of him.

"I'll admit. I didn't think you'd last as long as you did, but you sure proved me wrong." Backdraft admitted, making her smile.

"I imagine you proved him wrong as well." Backdraft added, making Ami come to a complete stop. Her eyes went wide at the comment, stopping herself from breathing momentarily.

"Huh?" She said, tightly squeezing the handle on her luggage. Backdraft heard Ami freeze and stopped, turning around and looking at her.

"In your fight. It wasn't hard to figure out something was going on between you two." Backdraft said, nodding his head up and down. The way he phrased his sentence made Ami turn strangely red.

"R-really?" Ami asked, holding the side of her face to cover up her embarrassment. Backdraft nodded and looked away from Ami, staring up at the elevator in the main plaza.

"Yup. It was the way you were arguing with each other even before the finals. I couldn't hear most of what was said during your battle, but judging by what he did at the end of the match, I'd say the message got through." Backdraft said, thinking positive. He was unaware of how flustered Ami had gotten.

"Right…" Ami replied, blushing intensely. Backdraft's retelling of the events from his perspective made her heart start beating fast. It made her think back to the final moments of their fight, making her feel strange. That feeling returned. The one she had after Bakugo told her to stand up. It was weird. She had trouble expressing into words how she felt at that moment. Why was it so hard to think properly? She didn't understand why such a happy moment made her feel so strange.

"Are you okay?" Backdraft said, snapping Ami back to reality. She looked up at him and removed her hand from the side of her face, giving Backdraft a view of the intense blush on her face. He saw the redness in her face and immediately went into help mode.

"What's wrong?" Backdraft asked, walking over to Ami's side. He put his wrist up to her forehead and felt her temperature, raising his concern.

"Sorry, it's just, uh-" Ami panicked, thinking of a cover story, "-It's all the spice." She blurted out, making Backdraft confused. He leaned back and let go of her forehead, staring at her in confusion.

"The spice?" He repeated, visibly confused. Ami began to sweat nervously, realizing the mistake she made. She stuttered out random words and forced herself to explain.

"In my sandwich that Wyvern, um, gave me..." Ami explained very reluctantly.

"Wyvern gave you a spicy sandwich?" Backdraft asked in concern. Ami stared at his eye and scrunched her nose up and winced.

"...No." She lied. Her body language and tone in her voice proved otherwise to Backdraft, making him audibly groan.

"Ugh." Backdraft groaned, stepping away from Ami. He raised his head up high and stared at the ceiling, doing a very bad facepalm with his pipe hand.

"I am so sorry about him." Backdraft said, apologizing on Wyvern's behalf. Hearing him apologize for Wyvern's behavior confused the heck out of Ami, making her stare at him incredulously.

"Uhh…" Ami said, confused by how to respond.

"Suppose it's what I get for asking him to look after you despite what happened in the Training Room." Backdraft groaned, shaking his head.

"It's okay. I'm feeling better already." Ami said, feeling her blush fade away. She felt bad using what Wyvern did to her sandwich as an excuse to explain her confusing feelings. Backdraft watched her face return to normal and sighed in relief. He thought about Wyvern and shook his head.

"Even so. I'll have to talk with him after we're done for the day. Has he done anything else?" Backdraft asked, hoping nothing else happened. Ami looked at him and told the truth.

"No. We just asked each other questions while I was eating." She said, interesting him.

"Did he tell you why we're here?" He asked. Ami remembered his answer and nodded.

"Uh huh. Just that the owner invited you and him here a few weeks ago." Ami explained, receiving a nod from Backdraft.

"Yes, well, he isn't wrong." Backdraft nodded, walking towards his destination. Ami stared at him for a few seconds in confusion. She resumed her advance and quickly caught up to him. She walked right up to him and stood beside him, looking at what he was reading. There was a big rectangular sign above the doors ahead of her. Ami read the sign and read the name of the building in front of her.

"The History Area." She read out loud, hearing Backdraft shuffling. He turned to look at her and made eye contact, watching him nod really fast.

"Mhm. This is where we'll start the tour." Backdraft said, standing in front of the entrance.

"There's lots of interesting tidbits about quirk history in this building. Even things I didn't know about are here." Backdraft explained. He stepped forward and stared at the railing on the door. He activated his quirk and formed a hand made of water out of his pipe arm, grabbing the door and generously holding it open for Ami.

"Shall we?" He said, motioning his water hand forward. Ami smiled in appreciation and walked inside. She entered the lobby to the History Area and scanned the room, darting left-and-right at everything she could see. The lobby wasn't too special. In fact, it looked like an exact replica of the Hero Area's Lobby. The most noticeable difference was the statue in the middle of the room, standing tall and surrounded by rope. A sign in front warned visitors not to touch the statue. Ami kept looking around and noticed the walls behind the statue showed a timeline of historical events. It was a basic summary of the beginning of quirks to the present day. She noticed the timeline ended on a specific date that marked the opening of this Museum.

Looking back at the statue, she narrowed her eyes and analyzed its features. The statue was silver in color and featured a smiling man dressed up in a strange and colorful costume. It was Present Mic's costume but mixed with a clown from the medieval era with wide shoulder pads made of megaphones. She could tell it belonged to a hero but she didn't recognize who.

"Hey, Backdraft." Ami called out, waving her hand to get his attention.

"Hm?" Backdraft replied, looking at her. Ami made eye contact and pointed her eyes at the statue behind her. She also raised her finger and pointed at the statue.

"Know who that is?" She asked, hoping for the answer. Backdraft stared up at the statue and nodded, blowing air out of his nose in fond remembrance.

"The statue? That's Imiter." He answered, making Ami curious. She tilted her head at the answer and stared back at the statue.

"Imiter?" She repeated, still having no idea who this hero was. Backdraft walked up beside her and continued his explanation.

"Mhm. He's a famous hero that was active about a decade ago. He's long retired." Backdraft explained, getting a nod from Ami.

"Oooh." She said, looking up at the statue in amazement.

"Imiter. That's a French word. I know that much from Aoyama." Ami thought, thinking about Aoyama. She held a hand up to her chin and wondered what his quirk does, not seeing any information about his quirk anywhere in the lobby. Backdraft watched her examine the statue and felt a grin form on his face, knowing his true importance.

"He's also the owner of this Museum." He added, surprising Ami. She felt her mouth drop open a bit and turned around, staring at Backdraft with amazement.

"Huh? Whoa, really?" She asked, smiling wide and clenching her fists in excitement. Backdraft nodded in response, satisfied by her reaction.

"Yup. We'll be meeting him after we've finished the tour." He clarified, getting a nod from Ami.

"Cool." She said, letting herself relax again. Backdraft nodded and moved forward, walking around the statue and heading towards an empty hallway.

"Anyways, let's get moving. Like how it was in the Hero Area, each floor covers certain topics or events. This floor of the History Area covers the history of the Museum itself…" Backdraft said, droning on down the halls. Ami stayed close behind him and listened to him speak.

The two of them walked down the long and narrow halls in peace, seeing no one but them around. Ami stared at the high up ceiling in awe. It was tall enough for the rhinoceros janitor Nashorn to fit. It was wide enough, too, so that a large number of people could walk around without bumping into each other. Eventually, the two entered the main room of the floor. Ami looked around the massive room in awe, letting her eyes look at everything. In the center of the room was a massive display table. She walked past Backdraft and approached the display table.

"Wow." She gasped, looking down at an extremely accurate depiction of the entire Museum's exterior. The tower in the middle also stood at an impressive height, making Ami smile in excitement. Standing in the front entrance of the miniature museum, Ami could see a small figure standing there with a large hat and cane. She examined the figure and assumed his identity to be the owner/hero himself.

"Like it?" Backdraft said, walking up to her in curiosity. Ami glanced at him and nodded.

"Yeah. They really got every detail of the outside down." Ami said, analyzing the garden and picnic area she saw from the front entrance.

"Whoa. You can even look inside!" Ami said, catching a glimpse of the main plaza through the miniature glass ceiling. Backdraft smiled at her excitement and started to walk around the display table. Ami watched him reach the other side, and put his hand on a part of the table that was allowed to be touched.

"Need a hand?" He asked, forming a hand made of water out of his pipe arm. He grabbed hold of a small knob on the table and twisted it. As soon as he did, the glass covering the ceiling slid inside the building, allowing Ami to see inside.

"Wow." She said, looking at the miniature plaza. It was an amazingly detailed miniature. She looked back up at Backdraft and noticed a button next to the knob.

"What's that button do?" She asked, curiously. Backdraft stared down at the table and glanced at the button, knowing exactly what it does. He pressed the button and watched as the Museum lights turned on as well as the observation tower. Only, to Ami's surprise, the tower lights glowed red and circled around the building like a lighthouse.

"Why's the tower lighting up like that?" She asked, looking at Backdraft for an explanation. He quickly obliged and answered her question with a nod.

"That's to show you what the tower looks like during an emergency." He explained, getting a questionable look from Ami.

"An emergency?" She questioned, hoping he'd elaborate.

"Mhm. In case a villain ever attacks the museum, the workers light the tower up so that every hero in the city knows that there's danger." Backdraft explained. Ami nodded in understanding, picturing what the real thing would look like.

"Has it ever been used before?" She asked, receiving a shrug.

"Not that I recall. In fact, I don't think there's ever been a villain attack in the museum before." Backdraft stated, thinking about the museum's history.

"Wow. So this place must be really safe then?" Ami asked.

"Mhm. It's all because of the museum's defense system." Backdraft elaborated, causing Ami to look at him with a puzzled face.

"What's that like?" She questioned.

"Hehe. Check this out." Backdraft said. He pressed another button on the table, causing the entrance to the miniature museum to lock down. Metal doors instantly covered the entrances and exits, followed shortly by turrets popping out of the top of the front entrance. Ami went wide eyed as the turrets pointed at the small figure standing in the front entrance with little laser pointers aimed directly at the head. Ami looked at the turrets with shock, noticing their resemblance to heavy machine guns from video games.

"Isn't that overkill?" Ami questioned, looking at Backdraft with an anxious expression.

"Don't worry. It's nonlethal." Backdraft assured. As soon as he said that the mini turrets fired at the small figure, destroying it in seconds. The ground beneath the murdered minifigure opened up, dropping its remains into a dark hole. A new minifigure came out of the ground shortly after, making Ami's mouth drop.

"That's nonlethal?" Ami questioned, looking at the surprise on Backdraft's face.

"That's just for laughs." Backdraft assured, brushing what just happened aside and pressing the button again. The miniature turned off and returned to normal, allowing the two of them to look inside again.

"And, if a villain ever does get inside. There's compartments with androids hidden throughout the museum, armed with state of the art technology designed to take down anything. And, of course, several safe houses designed to protect the visitors." Backdraft explained, receiving a nod from Ami. She turned and looked at him with a concerned expression.

"They don't have machine guns either, right?" Ami asked, worried about safety. Backdraft quickly shook his head in response.

"No… I'm sure they have other potentially- crippling…nonlethal…Hm?" Backdraft said, letting his voice get lower with every word he said until it was a whisper. He rested his chin on his pipe arm in deep thought, realizing Ami had a point about the defense system.

"I'll have to ask." Backdraft said, with an unsure tone. Ami heard the tone in his voice and gulped.

"No wonder villains don't attack the place." Ami thought, feeling pity towards whatever poor soul decides to attack.

"Anyways, let's move on." Backdraft said, walking away from the miniature. Ami followed close behind Backdraft and wandered down the hall. However, before they could enter the next room, the sound of loud footsteps echoed across the hall. They stopped and listened, turning their heads back at the same time.

"Ami! Ami!" Hayato exclaimed, running towards them at extreme speeds.

"Oh, hey, Spark Plug!" Ami smiled, waving at the small child.

"I found you!" Hayato smiled, throwing his fist up in the air in succession.

"How are you doing, kiddo?" Backdraft said, tipping his hat at him. Hayato waved back at him in response.

"Good job catching up with us." Ami applauded, looking down at the costumed child with a warm smile. He smiled back at her with joy, feeling proud. She looked behind him and stared down the hall, noticing he was alone.

"Where's Wyvern?" She questioned, looking down at Hayato with a puzzled expression. Hayato simply smiled and laughed at the question.

"Hehe. I ran ahead and ditched him so I could find you guys quicker." Hayato said, smiling mischievously in accomplishment.

"Is that what you did?" Wyvern questioned, appearing behind Hayato with arms crossed and a mildly unamused face.

"Uh oh." Hayato said, feeling his eyes shrink. He turned around to see Wyvern's unhappy stare and started sweating. He smiled innocently at him, making Wyvern narrow his eyes in response.

"You're really bad at instruction, Sparky." Wyvern said, shaking his head at the child.

"Hey, Flame Catcher." Wyvern greeted, referring to Ami by her quirk. Ami raised an eyebrow at him and scoffed. Two could play that game.

"Hey, Fuego." Ami greeted, waving at Wyvern with an innocent smile.

"Ha." Fuego laughed, snorting inside Wyvern's head.

"Quiet." Wyvern thought, shutting up the flaming dragon.

"Glad you two could join us. Ami and I were just about to move on." Backdraft said, nodding his head at them both.

"Awesome!" Hayato said, jumping past Wyvern.

"You should go this way! I know where all the cool stuff is in the History Area." Hayato said, pointing down a corridor.

"Sure, why not?" Backdraft shrugged, listening to Hayato's suggestion. Hayato bursted with joy, running down the hall with Backdraft speeding after him.

"Hey, I'm doing the tour." Backdraft said, stretching his watery hand out towards Hayato. Ami watched Backdraft expand his hand outward like a snake and grab hold of Hayato's cape in seconds, forcing him to slow down. She continued to walk down the halls in silence, noticing the lack of grease on Hayato's gloves. She tilted her head in confusion and glanced at Wyvern, who was walking beside her with a stoic face.

"His gloves are clean." She quietly blurted, getting Wyvern's attention. He glanced at her for a second before keeping his eyes facing forward. He stood up straight and put his hands back in his pockets, keeping a steady pace with Ami.

"He has spares in his backpack." He replied, getting her to nod.

"Oh." She mumbled, frowning a little. Glimpses of what happened in the cafeteria entered her mind, putting a damper on her mood. The sad frown on Hayato's face made her frown. She brushed the thought aside and darted her eyes towards Wyvern's direction.

"Did I…say something wrong?" She asked, looking at Wyvern with worry. Wyvern heard the question and made eye contact with Ami, raising his eyes a bit.

"No." He assured her, shaking his head in response. He crossed his arms and stared at the floor, watching his reflection on the clean floor.

"Don't beat yourself up over it. You didn't know." He said, confusing Ami. She tilted her head slightly and looked at him with a questionable gaze.

"Know what?" She asked, receiving silence. Wyvern flared his nostrils and shook his head lightly, closing his eyes.

"That's for him to explain. Not me." He said, ending the conversation.

Quirk Museum - Science Area

BBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZ

The machines were hard at work in this room. A line of androids stared down at the components moving along on the assembly lines in front of them. There were several assembly lines moving electrical parts and components down a conveyor belt for the androids to hack and slash with drills, saws, and laser cutters. Once the breaking down process was complete for each part the androids would move onto the next, sending the remaining scrap into a conveyor belt that led to a room hidden behind the walls. The loud sounds from their devices and equipment echoed through the room. Thankfully, the robots could tolerate the deafening sounds. Suspended up in the ceiling of the room was a tunnel with windows. Guests could look down into the room and peek at the androids as they worked. The androids knew they were being observed by museum visitors, causing them to work at maximum efficiency. Whenever the humans weren't looking they'd switch to energy saving mode to preserve their batteries. The androids paid close attention to their jobs until an unusual sound interrupted them. The sound of skin rubbing against glass entered their hearing receptors, causing them to look up at the ceiling.

"Back to work." An android dressed like a manager ordered, causing the distracted androids to return to work.

"It's that kid in cardboard again." The android worker said, looking up at the glass window on the ceiling. The manager android turned around and looked up at the ceiling, noticing a small child dressed up in a cardboard hero costume staring down at them with gloves and face touching the glass. The android narrowed its single red eye at him and walked over towards the speaker button on a table.

"Please don't touch the glass." The manager android asked, its voice coming through the speakers in the tour room. Hayato heard the demand and was immediately pulled back from the glass by Ami. She stared down at the android in the large room and smiled apologetically through the glass. The manager android scanned her body language and figured she was apologizing on the child's behalf.

"Sorry." Hayato said, looking up at Ami with a plain expression. Ami dragged Hayato with ease, holding him by his shoulders. She pulled him towards the middle of the tunnel, making sure he wasn't near the window. Backdraft watched them from behind Ami and chuckled lightly. He was amused by the costumed child's antics. Wyvern stood close behind Hayato, shaking his head at him with displeasure.

"Everytime, Sparky…" Wyvern said, rolling his eyes.

"Guessing you do this often?" Ami asked, raising an eyebrow at him in amusement.

"No." Hayato denied, lowering his voice to hide his lying.

"You're lucky you're allowed to enter this side of the Museum." Wyvern grinned, shaking his head a little.

"Hehehe." Backdraft chuckled, moving along down the tunnel. Ami looked at Backdraft and caught up to him, Hayato and Wyvern following behind her.

"What's next?" Ami asked, turning to face Backdraft.

"Unfortunately, the last room we'll be seeing in the Science Area." Backdraft replied, confusing Ami.

"Really? How small is the Science Area?" She asked, quickly getting a response from Wyvern.

"It's actually not that small. It's just that much of the Science Area is unavailable at the moment." Wyvern said, causing Ami to raise her eyebrow in confusion.

"What for?" Ami asked.

"Most of our robotics technology is getting shipped to a place off-site and won't be back for a while. And the Film Section is appointment only. And then there's the Medical Command Center at the top floor. The rest is all offices and staff rooms." Wyvern explained. Ami nodded in understanding, guessing what purpose everything Wyvern mentioned served. A floor dedicated to film? What kind of films? And what kind of robots were they shipping?

"Where are the robots going?" Ami questioned.

"Off-site." Wyvern answered, purposely keeping it under wraps. Ami frowned at the answer, hoping for something better. She sighed and nodded slowly in understanding.

"That sucks." Ami frowned, hoping to see more rooms.

"Don't worry. I'm sure this last room will get you excited. You'll probably recognize it, too." Backdraft nodded, causing Hayato to rush over to Backdraft's side. Backdraft looked down at the costumed child and stared at his extremely excited face.

"Is it what I think it is?" He asked, making Backdraft nod with amusement.

"Mhm." He hummed, making Hayato's heart race.

"Awesome!" He exclaimed, zooming back to Ami. He stood in front of her with sparks in his eyes, causing Ami to smile.

"C'mon, Ami! You have to see it! It's awesome!" Hayato exclaimed, grabbing hold of Ami's wrist. He tugged and pulled her arm, making her move with a smile.

Ami looked at the back of his head with a smirk, knowing she could easily stand still. She let herself get pulled by him and flared her nostrils in acceptance.

"Alright, Spark Plug. I'm coming." Ami said, letting him drag her down the hall. He dragged her down the hall with his hand firmly on her wrist. Ami easily ran at his pace without having to slow down and entered the next room. The new room was the same as the last. A tunnel with windows on the side, showing off a larger floor. Backdraft entered the room with a smile, looking at Ami in anticipation.

"Tada!" He said.

Ami turned to the left and walked towards the window, curious to see what was beyond. She stared out the window and gasped, feeling her eyes pop out of her.

The room below was the size of roughly three football fields. Lights on the ceiling and on the floor lit up the entire room, leaving nothing to the imagination. Ami felt her jaw drop at the sight of the machine sitting in the back of the room. She knew instantly this was what Hayato wanted her to see.

Sitting in the back of the room was a colossal machine that was currently offline. Its head-shape was rectangular with eight dots in the front. Ami knew that head-shape very well, instantly recognizing it.

"Whoa! That's a-" Ami exclaimed, letting her jaw drop in shock.

"Zeropointer!" Hayato exclaimed, jumping in the air with excitement. Ami stared at the offline machine in awe. The colossal Zeropointer lay dormant inside the room, looking a lot better than the one's she had seen before. Ami analyzed the machine's different parts and spotted some differences compared to the originals. The Zeropointer was heavily armored, looking even tougher than before. As she looked at the lower parts of the Zeropointers body, she noticed it was also painted differently. Its head was still the familiar dark green but its main body was blue. Its arms and treads were silver in color, reflecting the lights in the room with its shine.

She also noticed its many new parts. Its knuckles had sharp pointed ends on each hand. Its arms were equipped with miniguns and above its shoulders were rockets. From her view, Ami was unable to see the back of the Zeropointer. Looking down at the treads, she could barely make out parts of a rocket attached to the back, confusing her. She could only guess what the rockets behind its treads were for. She stared down at the massive hangar containing the Zeropointer with interest, wondering how it got there. She looked behind the massive machine and noticed the massive gate behind it. The caution lines gave the massive door away.

"Impressed?" Wyvern asked, interrupting her thoughts. She leaned away from the glass and noticed Wyvern's stoic face reflected on the glass to her left. She composed herself and turned around, nodding slowly in awe.

"Yeah. I wasn't expecting to see a Zeropointer." Ami said, turning her head back towards the Zeropointer, "Though I've never seen a Zeropointer like this before…" Ami said. Both Backdraft and Wyvern nodded at the same time. Backdraft stepped forward and stood beside Ami's right.

"I'd imagine so. I was surprised when I saw her, too." Backdraft admitted, causing Ami to glance at him with a puzzled look.

"Her?" She questioned in her head.

"She's a prototype Zeropointer!" Hayato said to Ami's left. She looked at him and tilted her head slightly in confusion.

"She's a Prototype?" Ami questioned, looking back at the Zeropointer. That would explain the obvious differences.

"And she's a she?" Ami asked, receiving nods from all three of them.

"Her inventor called her Becca." Wyvern explained, getting a nod from her.

"Is that short for something?" Ami asked, thinking about acronyms.

"Yeah, Rebecca. Why?" Wyvern answered, causing Ami to squint her eyes in confusion. She guessed there was no acronym after all. The Zeropointer really was named Rebecca.

"She's gone through a lot of changes since being donated here. She's the first of her kind." Wyvern explained, knowing all about her.

"First of her kind?" Ami questioned, wanting to know more.

"Mhm. Well, she was the first of her kind. There's more of her now in other parts of the world." Wyvern revealed, surprising Ami even more. She had no idea this kind of Zeropointer was in use. She'd never seen one like Rebecca.

"Wait. But, I thought Zeropointers were used for Hero Training?" Ami asked, receiving a nod from Wyvern.

"Originally, yeah. But her inventor's expanded his horizons since. Now there's Zeropointers used for all sorts of heavy machinery jobs. Mining, quarries, drilling, deep-sea drilling, construction…and I heard Space Exploration is getting more traction these days." Wyvern elaborated, counting each job with his fingers.

"Space Exploration?" Ami repeated, picturing a Zeropointer floating in space.

"You can't see it but behind her are rocket booster engines designed for flight." Wyvern explained, causing Ami's jaw to drop. She looked back at the Zeropointer in awe, realizing that's why there were rockets behind her treads.

"She can fly?" Ami exclaimed in surprise.

"Mhm." Wyvern nodded, blowing Ami's mind.

"Whoa." She gasped, staring down at the rockets on its treads.

"Yup. It's why her armor is so thick. She can withstand extreme heat and cold without malfunction. She could probably go to space with how she's built." Wyvern added. Ami nodded at him and stared at the zeropointer in silent contemplation.

"So, I guess a Zeropointer like her won't be used for hero training?" She asked, receiving a quick response from Wyvern.

"No. She was designed for jobs as dangerous as her. Putting her up against students would probably cause casualties." Wyvern assured, causing her to gulp. She couldn't deny that with all the weapons the Zeropointer had installed. She wasn't sure what purpose miniguns and shoulder rockets served for the Zeropointer's jobs. She decided to take Wyvern's word for it.

"Glad you didn't have to deal with that thing in the Entrance Exam, huh?" Backdraft asked, causing Ami to happily nod in agreement, giggling a bit.

"You bet. I don't think I'd have ever been able to take her down." Ami said, casually. Both Backdraft and Wyvern froze upon hearing her, looking down at her with surprised faces.

"Sorry, what?" Backdraft questioned. He thought back to the Sports Festival and tried to remember if Ami ever took down a zeropointer during the race.

"Take…down?" Wyvern questioned, hiding his baffled reaction behind a stoic face.

"You took down a Zeropointer? In the Entrance Exam?" Backdraft asked, crossing his arms with curiosity. Ami turned around and noticed their surprised faces, making her smile grow with hidden pride.

"Yeah. In my Entrance Exam, I used my flames to melt down its treads to the point it tipped over." Ami explained, omitting the part where it almost crushed her to death. Wyvern flared his nostrils in response, letting a visible smile form on his lips.

"Not bad." Fuego said, nodding inside Wyvern's head. Wyvern heard Fuego voice his opinion and nodded his head in agreement.

"Impressive." He praised, getting a smile from Ami. She was happy to receive praise from the two heroes.

"Your flames are that hot?" Backdraft asked, getting a quick nod from Ami in return.

"Mhm." She hummed, causing Backdraft to step back slightly in awe.

"Amazing. You'll have to show me later." Backdraft said, making Ami feel happy.

"He likes my flames!" She thought, holding back her true feelings.

"Awesome!" Hayato said, looking at Ami with excitement. He wanted to see her quirk more than ever.

"Anyways. That settles it for the Science Area, sadly." Backdraft said. Ami looked at the water hero and nodded in understanding, remembering this was the last room they'd look at in here.

"So, where to?"

"All that's left is the Play Area and the Water Area, which would you like to see first?" He offered.

"Play Area!" Hayato shouted, getting between them. Backdraft and Ami looked down at the excited child and smiled.

"I guess what Spark Plug said." Ami said, getting a nod from Backdraft.

"Hehe. Alright. Play Area it is." Backdraft chuckled, looking ahead.

Quirk Museum - Play Area

To say there were kids everywhere would have been an understatement. As soon as they opened the door to the Play Area, Ami's ears were met with the sounds of excited screaming children. She stared at the interiors and looked around in awe. The first thing her eyes saw were dozens of kids playing around inside a massive rocketship-styled playground.

"Wow." She whispered in astonishment, watching children enter the rocket and exit through a slide. The rocket ship was at least three stories high with a slide that wrapped around the exterior. A door at the bottom of the rocket allowed kids to climb inside. There wasn't just a rocketship, either. There were several other jungle gyms surrounding the rocketship. All of them were space themed. Even the floor was space themed with rockets, satellites, astronauts, and asteroids flying through the black carpet representing space.

Ami kept a close grip on her luggage, making sure she wasn't dragging it too far behind her. She didn't want to cause an accident with an overexcited child tripping on her luggage.

"Hope you don't mind the volume!" Backdraft shouted over the sounds of screaming children. Ami heard his voice and looked at him, giving him a nod in response.

"I'm fine." Ami assured, raising her voice so Backdraft could hear.

"The Play Area is usually the most packed during this time!" Wyvern hollered.

"This is the most popular area in the entire Museum. I'm sure you can easily guess why." Backdraft stated, tipping his hat at parents as they passed by him.

"Isn't it great?" Hayato exclaimed, looking to see Ami's reaction.

"Very." Ami replied, giving Hayato a thumbs up.

"Come over here. It's less noisy this way." Wyvern said, pushing the group towards the arcade machines. Ami took the chance to get another look at the layout, staring up at the far away ceiling. There was already a vast difference between the Play Area and the other buildings in the Museum. The biggest difference was the amount of floors. There weren't any. The ceiling was about a hundred feet high, reaching where the fifth floor would be. Huge metal beams descended from the ceiling, giving the room support as well as providing a fair amount of noise cancellation. The layout was similar to a big convention center.

As she took in the sights in awe, the group entered the first section of the Play Area. Arcade machines were everywhere. Ami looked at the small crowds of people circling around the arcade machines and smiled, remembering her local arcade.

"This is the Arcade Section. Just about every arcade machine you can think of is here." Backdraft explained as Ami walked past several with awe.

"Cool." Ami replied, looking around the place.

"I love this game!" Hayato exclaimed, getting Ami's attention. She watched as Hayato ran towards an arcade machine. She looked at the game on the screen and recognized it as some popular fighting game. She giggled at how quickly Hayato got distracted by the other games. She continued walking around the Arcade Section and was amazed by the amount of games she'd never seen before. Eventually, she turned a corner and saw another arcade game she was very familiar with.

"Hey! Is that Dance Master?" Ami exclaimed, letting out a gasp and rushing towards the arcade machine. Backdraft followed closely behind her, taking a lot at the game with interest. He looked at the dance pad on the floor and stared at the screen, recognizing the selection of songs.

"You know how to dance?" Backdraft asked, glancing at Ami's happy expression. She heard the question and excitedly shook her head.

"Nope. I used to watch my friends play this all the time at our arcade." Ami explained, reminiscing the past in her head. She remembered the many times her orange haired friend would try to make her play. She'd always turn her down.

"It is a classic." Backdraft nodded, acknowledging its fame. Ami stared at the demo on the screen before it faded into a scoreboard. She squinted her eyes and read the names on the screen, recognizing one name in particular.

"Second place: Imit? Is that the owner?" Ami questioned, looking at Backdraft and Wyvern.. Backdraft stepped forward and leaned in, getting a closer look. Wyvern did the same and looked at the screen with squinted eyes. The two heroes saw the name on the screen and nodded in confirmation.

"Mhm. I think so." Backdraft confirmed.

"Yup. That's him alright." Wyvern nodded.

"Wow. I can't believe the owner has second place." Ami exclaimed, impressed by the owner's dancing skills. Judging by his actual score, he was better at the game than her friends.

"I think he's on the leaderboards for all of these games." Backdraft said, putting his pipe arm up to his chin. That was all the more impressive for Ami. She looked at his second place score and then looked up at the score that beat him. It was nearly twice his own score.

"I wonder who beat him?" Ami asked, looking at the name in first place.

"Moth?" She questioned, tilting her head in confusion. She wasn't sure if that was a hero or an ordinary citizen. She wondered if they knew who that was. She turned her head to ask and noticed they were walking away, causing her eyes to widen.

"There's still more to see." Backdraft reminded Ami, waving at her to keep moving. Ami kept close behind Backdraft as they passed by each section in minutes.

"The Play Area has 7 sections in total. There's the Playground Section in the middle. And then there's the Arcade Section on the far left side. Each section circles around the middle." Backdraft explained, receiving a nod from Ami in understanding. He quickly gave a brief explanation of each section.

"After the Arcade, we have the Bowling Alley, Ball Pit, Obstacle Courses, Laser Tag, and an Escape Room." Backdraft explained, getting a nod. Ami was amazed there was enough space for that many sections inside the Play Area. He passed by each section at a quick pace, forcing Ami to keep up and lower the chance of distraction. After basically skimming through the Play Area, Backdraft walked down a hallway to the right of the front entrance. Hayato noticed Backdraft and Ami were moving on and quickly headed towards them with Wyvern catching up behind him.

"Hey, wait up!" Hayato said, his voice echoing down the hall. Backdraft activated his quirk and shot water out of his right arm, stretching it far. He formed a human hand out of the water and grabbed hold of the door as if he was physically touching it with a real hand.

"And, for our last destination, we have the Water Area." Backdraft said, swinging the door with his watery hand. He kept the door open long enough for Ami to walk inside, entering the Water Area.

As soon as Ami entered the building she squinted her eyes and covered them with her arm. Several bright lights were suspended on the ceiling, lighting the whole place up. She was caught off guard by the brightness of the ceiling, having already adjusted to the darkness of the Play Area. Letting her eyes adjust, she slowly lowered her arm and took in the view. The Water Area was a single massive room, just like the Play Area. It was far more open and less condensed compared to the Play Area. The room pretty much resembled an indoor water park.

"Welcome to the fire user's worst nightmare!" Wyvern said, spreading his arms out wide, "A water park." He said, causing Ami to crack a grin at his words. She thought it was funny at least. She looked at the sights with awe, families and people of all ages were dressed in swimwear and having a fun time in the water. Ami watched as people slid down a water slide and landed in the pool with a big splash, sending water into other swimmer's happy faces. She smiled at the sight of it all, it seemed like fun. It was a shame she was here for the Internship, otherwise she'd be all over the place.

"Jokes aside, this is where visitors of all ages can go swimming. It may seem small but this is actually just the General Section." Backdraft said.

"Cool." Ami said, looking around in awe.

"Mhm." Backdraft nodded, happy that Ami was fascinated by the place. His smile dropped, however, as he knew they had to move on, "Unfortunately, that's all I can show here since the sections in the back are for the more water-adapted quirks." Backdraft said, making Ami nod in understanding.

"Okay." Ami nodded in understanding.

"On that note, our tour is officially over." Backdraft said, raising his voice slightly in celebration.

"Done already?" Ami asked, getting a nod from Backdraft.

"Yup. Other than the parts of the Science Area we skipped, that's pretty much the entire Museum." Backdraft said, shrugging his shoulders.

"What about the Training Area?" Ami brought up, getting a response from Wyvern.

"No use touring it since we'll be in there tomorrow." Wyvern said, brushing the question aside. Ami flared her nostrils and looked at Backdraft with a blank face.

"So…now what?" She asked, getting Backdraft to raise his pipe arm up.

"Now, we have one last place to go before we can call it a day." He said, getting Ami's attention.

"What's that?" She asked, raising her eyes with anticipation. Backdraft raised his pipe arm up even higher and activated his quirk, forming a fist made of water. He raised his index finger and pointed at the ceiling.

"We're going straight up to the Observation Tower. More specifically, the Director's Office." Backdraft specified, making Ami excited.

"Sweet." She said, feeling excited to finally meet with the owner of the Museum.

"You're gonna meet Imiter?" Hayato asked, looking up at Ami questionably.

"Uh huh." She nodded, looking at him with a smile. She stared at him and saw the smile on his face, making her curious.

"Have you ever met him?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.

"Mhm. He's super nice and he's got a funny voice." Hayato answered innocently, making Ami all the more excited to meet him.

"A funny voice?" Ami repeated inside her mind, confused by what he meant.

"Hehe." Wyvern chuckled, shaking his head slightly and keeping his head low.

"Unfortunately, this will be a private meeting. Which means…" Backdraft insinuated, looking at Hayato. Hayato quickly picked up on the implication and frowned, understanding fully.

"That I can't come..." Hayato said, deflating with disappointment.

"Don't worry, Sparky. There's always tomorrow." Wyvern said, getting Hayato's hopes up. Ami nodded at Wyvern's words, looking down at Hayato with a smile.

"Yeah, he's right. Remember what I said?" Ami asked, making Hayato think back to earlier.

"That you'll be here for the whole week?" He said, making Ami happy.

"Mhm. I promised, didn't I?" She smiled, making his heart race with excitement. He smiled back at her and jumped up in the air.

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow then! Bye, Ami!" Hayato exclaimed, running back down the halls.

"See ya tomorrow, Spark Plug!" Ami hollered, waving goodbye. She giggled a bit at how fast he was running.

"That made him happy really fast." Ami thought, watching Hayato disappear down the hall leading to the Play Area.

"Alright, let's go!" Backdraft said, turning around. Ami and Wyvern followed close behind Backdraft and exited the Water Area, quickly walking towards the elevators in the center of the Main Plaza.

Without a second of delay, the three of them entered the main elevator. Wyvern looked up at the ceiling and clapped his hands.

"Computer, take us to the Director's Office." Wyvern commanded, hearing the elevator beep at him.

"Heading to the Director's Office."

Imiter's Office

The elevator recognized the command and closed its doors, producing a bell sound in response. Ami listened to the motors in the elevator shaft make noise before finally moving. Ami stared at the door and noticed it was made of glass. Once it left its platform, the view became clear. She quietly gasped as she looked down at the main plaza. In seconds, the elevator reached the roof. Once they moved past it Ami saw the view of Hosu City, letting her jaw drop.

"Oh. Wow." Ami said in awe. Backdraft and Wyvern nodded in agreement at her astonishment. The view of the city was always incredible from this high up.

"Imiter's Office is located right below the observation rooms." Backdraft mentioned, receiving a nod from Ami.

"Anything I should know before I meet him?" Ami asked, looking down at the city.

"I think Sparky pretty much summed him up." Wyvern said, smirking slightly.

"He's a great man. I'm sure you'll agree." Backdraft said. Ami kept looking at the view until it was obscured by metal. The elevator had reached the tower, making her frown a bit at losing the view.

"Welp. Here we are." Wyvern said, looking at Ami, "Ready to meet him?" He asked. Ami turned around and stared at Wyvern with a serious expression, standing up straight and looking professional.

"I'm ready." She nodded, showing her game face.

"That's the spirit." Backdraft praised, nodding at Ami. She turned back around and stared at the door with anticipation. The elevator's glass doors opened up first, followed by the second doors to the office. Ami peeked inside as the doors opened up, immediately feeling the temperature in the room change.

The Office was small and rectangular. The back of the room was a large window that gave the whole room some light to see everything. Ami scanned the room and took a step forward, exiting the elevator with an excited smile. Her eyes drifted towards the walls, getting distracted by all the objects she saw. They were covered with bookshelves adorned with trinkets and figurines. Posters and photographs were taped to the wall, showing many different heroes shaking hands with the owner. The decor was lovely and very inviting. Sitting in the back of the room behind a desk full of papers was the owner himself. However, he wasn't alone. Sitting across from him was a woman with black hair and a black uniform. It was exactly like the uniforms the men in the front desk were wearing. She turned her head and stared at Ami, smiling warmly at her and nodding. Ami smiled back and returned the greeting.

"Who's she?" Ami thought, being polite. She looked at the man sitting down and watched as he stood up out of his seat with a smile on his face.

"Ah! There you are!" The Owner exclaimed, raising his hands up in the air. He stood up out of his chair and walked around his desk with arms spread out. Ami got a full look at the man as he made his approach. He wore a purple suit with a pink tie and a dark blue handkerchief on his neck. He had black hair with a purple streak going through the middle of his hair. His sideburns were also slightly graying. Ami guessed the man and woman were both in their thirties. She focused back on the owner who was approaching her with a big smile on his face. He quickly grabbed onto Ami's hands, surprising her with his strong grip. She winced at the feeling of her hands cracking under his grip.

"Bonjour, mademoiselle! Enchantée! The man said, speaking in a French accent. His voice confirmed her previous suspicions. Imiter was a French word. This man is French. Compared to Aoyama, though, he sounded like he was actually born in France. Backdraft and Wyvern exited the elevator with amused grins, watching the owner effortlessly lift Ami off her feet by just shaking her hands.

"Hello, M-Mister um-" Ami said, cutting herself off. She quickly realized she had no idea what the owner's name was other than his hero name. Thankfully, the owner quickly amended this.

"Oh, Imiter will do. I'm more known for my Hero Name." Imiter assured, receiving a nod from Ami.

"Hello, Mr. Imiter, Sir." Ami greeted, "It's nice to meet you." She said, bowing respectfully.

"The honor's all mine, young lady. I'm thrilled to meet another student from UA High!" Imiter said, catching Ami's curiosity.

"Another?" Ami thought, questioning his wording. The memory of Backdraft's poster in the Hero Area flashed in her mind. Backdraft was from UA. She quickly concluded that was what he was talking about.

"I graduated years ago, Imiter." Backdraft said, exiting out of the elevator and confirming Ami's assumption. Imiter ignored his comment and kept his eyes on Ami.

"Haha. I watched your performance at the Sports Festival. C'était magnifique!" Imiter praised, commending her strength. She stared back at him and smiled, appreciating his praise. She understood the meaning of those words thanks to Aoyama, getting a good idea in her head.

"Merci beaucoup?" Ami replied, saying the phrase at a slow speed.

"Oh my. You know French?" Imiter asked, visibly impressed.

"No, but a friend of mine does." Ami answered, making the retired hero smile.

"Haha. Well done, Mon Amie." Imiter laughed, leaving her confused. He let go of her hands and stared at Backdraft, forming a super wide grin at the water hero. Ami stared down at her hands and sighed in relief, feeling them relax from Imiter's crushing grip. His grip was abnormally strong, reminding her of a weaker All Might.

Imiter casually walked around Ami with his wide grin and started chuckling softly. Backdraft stared at the approaching Imiter and braced for impact, watching as the retired hero started to spread his arms out.

"Ah! Backdraft!" He said, gleefully walking towards the water hero.

"Good evening-" Backdraft said, before he was enveloped in a massive hug by the retired hero. Backdraft felt his life squeeze out of him for a second time today, feeling like he was constricted by a snake. Wyvern exited the elevator quietly, sticking close to the walls and watching Backdraft lose his air. He leaned on a wall with a small and somewhat amused grin, getting the attention of the other woman in the room.

"Hey, Wyvern." She waved, nodding her head at him. Wyvern glanced at the woman and nodded back.

"Hey." He replied, waving his hand. She looked at him with a warm smile, folding her arms together in curiosity.

"Is Fuego awake?" She asked.

"He says hi, too." Wyvern answered, making her smile get wider. Imiter let go of Backdraft and looked at Wyvern, making eye contact with the stoic hero.

"Wyvernnn. Haha. C'mere!" Imiter said, walking towards Wyvern with his arms spread out. Wyvern glared daggers at him and quickly tensed up in defiance.

"Back off, old man." He warned, showing his best war face. Imiter didn't even stutter nor stumble at Wyvern's intimidation tactic for he knew the truth.

"Hehe. Nice try. I know Fuego likes me. C'mon, bring it in." Imiter said, grabbing hold of Wyvern. Wyvern frowned and rolled his eyes, keeping his arms crossed as Imiter gave him a hug.

"Alright." Wyvern relented with a heavy sigh.

"Grk-" Wyvern grunted, feeling his back make a popping sound from Imiter's embrace.

"C'mon…Let go! You saw me yesterday!" Wyvern groaned, squirming around in Imiter's arms.

"He seems jolly." Ami thought, holding in her laughter at Wyvern's expense. It was funny seeing him react in a way that went against his stoic expression. She heard the other woman in the room giggle at the interaction and looked over at her direction. She was hiding her smile with her mouth. Finishing her giggling, her eyes drifted towards Ami, quickly making eye contact with her.

"Hello." The lady said, getting Ami to wave at her again. She looked at the lady and noticed she was sitting down. From her view, she could only see the top half of her body.

"Hi." She replied. The lady looked at her and noticed the school uniform she was still wearing, recognizing her instantly.

"You must be Ami." She asked, receiving a nod in confirmation.

"Mhm. Who are you?" Ami asked in return. The lady smiled and stood up, surprising Ami with the rest of her body. She was pregnant. Noticeably pregnant. She slowly made her way to Ami and stood in front of her.

"Imiter's my husband. My name's Misaki. I work at the front desk in the main lobby." She answered, smiling warmly at Ami. Ami looked at the motherly smile on her face and nodded, feeling safe around her.

"It's nice to meet you." Ami said, shaking hands with her, "Oh. And, uh, congratulations!" She added, glancing down at her belly for a split second. Misaki's face brightened up even more at the compliment, her smile was as warm as the sun.

"Aww, that's very sweet of you. Thanks." She said, accepting the compliment. She brought a hand down to her belly and gently caressed it.

"Have you ever been near a pregnant woman before?" She asked, noticing the curiosity in Ami's eyes.

"No. Never." Ami admitted, making Misaki smirk.

"Do you wanna touch?" She offered, surprising Ami. Ami stumbled back a bit in response.

"What? R-Really?" She questioned, wondering if she heard right. She felt her face turn red a bit and her chest tighten. Misaki looked at her response and giggled a bit.

"I don't mind." She replied, shrugging her shoulders. Ami nodded in response and looked down at her belly, crouching down to her knees. She stared at Misaki's pregnant belly in silence, feeling a little nervous. Slowly, she raised her hand out and went for it. She held in her breath as her hand made contact with Misaki's shirt, feeling her belly through the clothing.

"Oh, wooow." Ami gasped, letting air escape from her mouth.

"Is that how mom felt carrying us?" Ami thought, being as gentle as possible. It was warm. She'd never done something like this before in her life. It was strange knowing that a baby was in there moving around and breathing.

Looking away from Wyvern and Imiter, Backdraft turned around and went quiet. He saw Ami on her knees, touching Misaki's belly with a fascinated look in her eyes. He smiled at the interaction and approached the two of them, getting Misaki's attention.

"Hey, Backdraft." Misaki smiled, waving at the water hero.

"Ma'am." Backdraft nodded, tipping his hat at her in respect. He looked back down at Ami and could see small tears coming out of her eyes.

"You okay, Ami?" Backdraft asked, tilting his head at her with concern. Ami turned her head and made eye contact with Backdraft, smiling at him.

"Backdraft, Sir. There's a baby in there." She stuttered, sniffling a bit. Backdraft could only nod at her heartfelt response.

"I know." Backdraft said, chuckling a bit.

"This is the UA student, you'll be training?" Misaki asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, Ma'am." Backdraft answered.

"Well, I hope you learn a lot from him. Even if he's a water hero, he's got plenty to tell you about being a her- Oop!" Misaki said, getting interrupted by movement in her belly. Ami felt Misaki's body jolt and quickly took her hands off her stomach. She frowned and felt her heart racing with worry.

"What happened?" She panicked, "Did I do something?" She asked, fearing for Misaki. Misaki quickly composed herself and laughed a bit. Ami heard her laughter and calmed down a little.

"Don't worry, Ami. It's just a kick." Misaki replied, caressing her belly.

"Oh." Ami sighed, putting a hand on her head in relief. Imiter quickly approached Misaki, checking on her condition.

"Are you okay?" Imiter asked, gently wrapping his arm around her shoulder. Misaki rubbed her belly and smiled, looking at Imiter.

"Yeah. We're fine." She assured, nodding her head at the retired hero. Imiter felt relieved by her assurance. She looked down at her wrist and noticed the time, widening her eyes a bit.

"That reminds me, I should be heading back now." She said, getting a nod from Imiter.

"Okay. I'll see you soon." He said, kissing the side of her face. She nodded and headed towards the elevator. Imiter helped walk her to the elevator as they passed by Ami and Backdraft. As they reached the elevator, Imiter slowly let go of her with a smile.

"Wyvern, go with her, please." He asked, glancing at Wyvern. He nodded and quickly sprang into action, entering the elevator with Misaki.

"Yeah, sure." He complied, reentering the elevator. Ami stared at Misaki in the elevator and waved, receiving a smile.

"It was nice meeting you, Ami. I hope you have fun." Misaki said, waving back at her.

"It was nice meeting you. Take care." Ami replied.

"Bye, hun." Imiter said, looking at her with a comforting smile.

"Bye." She said, waving as the elevator door closed. They listened to the sound of the elevator moving downward for a few seconds before moving on. As the elevator's hum vanished, Imiter relaxed and let out a sigh.

"Is she gonna be okay?" Ami asked, cautiously. Imiter raised his head off the elevator door and turned around, looking at Ami with a confident smile of assurance.

"She'll be okay, I assure you. It's an exciting time for us. She's due any day now." Imiter said, making Ami's eyes widen with surprise.

"Whoa, seriously? And she runs the front desk?" Ami exclaimed, caught off guard by the answer. Imiter nodded his head at her in confirmation, clasping his hands together with a happy smile.

"Mhm. I insisted she take time off but she loves greeting people into the Museum. So, I compromised and assigned three other workers to help her out." Imiter explained.

"Oh." Ami said, remembering the men in the front desk.

"Anyways, where were we?" Imiter asked, clapping his hands.

"You were introducing yourself to Ami." Backdraft said, reminding Imiter. He looked at Ami and nodded, getting back to topic.

"Ah! That's right. Good evening, Ami." Imiter said, bowing his head in respect.

"Good evening." Ami said, bowing in return.

"I take it Backdraft took you on the tour?" Imiter asked, returning to the opposite end of the room where his desk was.

"Yeah, he did." Ami answered.

"Splendid. Then I can assume you saw the origins of the Museum in the History Area?" Imiter asked, getting a nod from Ami in confirmation.

"Mhm. I saw your statue there, too. The one with your hero costume." Ami said, thinking about the statue in her mind. Imiter leaned on the edge of his desk and smiled nostalgically, looking up at the ceiling with joy.

"Ah. My old hero costume. I have a lot of fond memories with it." Imiter said, reminiscent of the past.

"I have a question, though." Ami asked, returning Imiter to reality.

"Oh? Go right ahead." He replied, looking back down at Ami.

"The History Area told me a lot about the Museum, but it didn't tell me much about you. Neither did your statue." Ami said, frowning a little in disappointment. Imiter knew where this was going and laughed.

"So you wanna know more about me, huh?" Imiter asked, receiving a smile.

"Mhm." Ami replied, widening Imiter's smile.

"Very well. Why don't we start with my quirk? Backdraft, how about a demonstration." Imiter said, standing in front of his desk.

"In here?" Backdraft questioned, pointing at the floor with his pipe arm. Imiter nodded and shrugged his shoulders.

"No worries, Backdraft. I won't let you leave a mess." Imiter assured, adjusting his tie. Backdraft narrowed his eye at him and gave in with a sigh.

"Oh, alright." Backdraft relented, flaring his nostrils. Ami listened to their exchange and narrowed her eyes in confusion, darting her eyes back-and-forth at them.

"Won't let you leave a mess? What does that mean?" Ami questioned inside her head, wondering what that meant.

"Ami, why don't you stand by the wall over there." Imiter requested, pointing at the wall to his right. Ami stared at the direction she was told to stand and did as instructed, moving towards the wall without delay.

"Okay." Ami said, leaning on a bookshelf with her arms folded.

"So, you want me by the elevator?" Backdraft questioned, walking backwards in the middle of the room.

"Mhm. And I'll be standing in front of my desk." Imiter said, patting his desk while talking.

"Pay close attention to Backdraft, Mademoiselle." Imiter said, getting Ami's curiosity.

"Ready?" Imiter asked, looking at Backdraft from across the rectangular office.

"Yup." Backdraft nodded. readying himself.

"Spray me. Un. Deux. Trois!" Imiter said, starting his count. Backdraft narrowed his eye with focus and raised his left arm forward, aiming directly at Imiter.

He activated his quirk and fired, releasing a considerable amount of water towards Imiter like a water hose. Ami stared at the water flying across the room in suspense, wondering what Imiter was going to do to stop the water. Imiter saw the water rapidly approaching him and narrowed his eyes, holding his breath and concentrating. He activated his quirk and whistled loudly, echoing through the office. Ami heard the whistling sound and stared at Imiter in confusion. To her surprise, Backdraft's water hose attack never made contact with Imiter. Instead the mass of water floated in mid air inches away from reaching Imiter's face. The mass of water was still connected to Backdraft's arm. Ami turned to look at Backdraft in confusion, wondering what just happened. She then heard Imiter laughing at his desk.

"Haha. I still got it!" Imiter exclaimed, feeling victorious. Ami looked at Imiter and scratched her head in confusion.

"What happened?" Ami questioned, looking at Backdraft with concern. He was standing completely still with his quirk still activated.

Backdraft?" Ami said, calling out his name with worry. Backdraft heard the concern in Ami's voice and quickly responded. It was all he could do at the moment.

"Don't worry. I'm fine." Backdraft assured her, still unable to move.

"Mr. Imiter, how about giving me my water back?" Backdraft requested. Ami looked at Imiter and saw him nod with an excited smile.

"Behold, Ami. My quirk." Imiter said, raising his left arm outward.

"Return to sender." Imiter commanded, concentrating his mind. On Backdraft's side, he felt a pull on his body. Like an invisible force was pulling on his mind with a string, compelling him to act. Since he knew what Imiter was doing, Backdraft didn't resist. His body reacted to the pull and tensed up, feeling the mass of water still in his control. Backdraft flexed his left arm and pulled. The mass of water in front of Imiter started to pull itself back, causing Ami to look on with shock. Slowly, but surely, the mass of water reentered the hole in Backdraft's pipe arm, letting not a single drop of water hit the floor on its way to him. Ami watched the scene play out in confusion, trying to understand what was happening.

"What's going on?" Ami thought, darting her eyes at Imiter and Backdraft. Imiter was focusing intently at Backdraft with his left arm raised. Backdraft also had his left arm raised. It was almost like Imiter was copying him.

"Wait! I think I know what's going on." Ami thought.

"Mr. Imiter. Your quirk, it's some kind of Mind Control, isn't it?" Ami questioned, getting a smile from Imiter in confirmation.

"Right you are, Mademoiselle!" Imiter laughed, proud of Ami's deduction skills.

"French Mime Hero: Imiter! His quirk: Body Mimic! Imiter can control the body of anyone who hears his whistle. Using it on one person allows him to control their body as well as their quirk! He can't use others' quirks when under his control, though. And he has to make the movements with them! Just like a mime! Hahaha." Present Mic narrated.

"Backdraft's under my control now. Check this out." Imiter said, moving his head left and right. Backdraft did the same and moved his head left and right. Ami watched Backdraft repeat everything Imiter did with awe.

"Tada!" Imiter said, raising his right fist in front of his forehead. Backdraft copied his movements and raised his right fist above his forehead. Imiter rubbed his head and slowly brought his fist upward. Backdraft did the same and slowly brought his pipe wrist upward, managing to get below his fire hat. Imiter smiled and sent his fist into the air. Backdraft did the same, lifting his arm into the air, bringing his hat up with him.

"Bonjour! Ha ha." Imiter said, making Backdraft wave his hat around in the air.

"Whoa. And he's awake?" Ami asked, slightly tense.

"Don't worry. I know what he's doing." Backdraft said, dissuading her fears.

"Look familiar? Like that purple haired boy, huh?" Imiter asked, surprising Ami. She looked at Imiter and raised her eyes at him in shock, remembering the tired looking teen.

"Shinso?" Ami said, getting a nod from Imiter.

"Yeah, that's his name." Imiter said.

"You know him?" Ami questioned, receiving a shake of Imiter's head in response.

"Nope. Only saw his fight in the Sport's Festival. The boy has promise, but it looks like he can't fully control what his target does." Imiter said, making Ami frown. She looked down at the floor and clenched her fists, keeping them hidden. Imiter was wrong. She knew that from experience. She remembered what it was like under Shinso's control and shivered, getting goosebumps. She couldn't do anything to stop him. She was powerless. She likely would've done his bidding in the Cavalry Battle if it hadn't been for Bakugo. The memory of Bakugo appearing in front of her appeared in her mind, making her grab the part of her wrist he grabbed on to that unknowingly returned her to her senses.

"No, it's just that One For All was what snapped Izzy out of his control. Shinso would've won had it been anybody else." Ami thought, keeping her hand on her wrist.

"Shame he didn't win, though. Who was it that beat him? Backdraft, do you know?" Imiter asked, looking at the water hero for an answer.

"That would be her brother." Backdraft said, looking over at Ami. He noticed her frown and narrowed his eye in alarm, noticing her body language. She was uncomfortable.

"Pardon?" Imiter asked, raising his eyes.

"My brother beat Shinso." Ami said, looking away from the heroes with a frown. Imiter noticed her body language and realized she was uncomfortable, making him feel sorry. He slapped himself in the face, feeling ashamed for not noticing. Backdraft also slapped himself in the face, copying Imiter.

"Oh. Je suis désolée. Apologies, Mademoiselle." Imiter said, bowing at her and temporarily forgetting Backdraft was copying him.

"It's okay. It was hard to watch that fight." Ami admitted, folding her arms together.

"I understand. That was the first match, wasn't it?" Imiter asked, thinking about the Sport's Festival.

"Yeah…" Ami answered.

"Can I be free now?" Backdraft asked, getting Imiter's attention.

"Oh. Désolé." Imiter apologized, whistling again. Backdraft felt the tug on his brain disappear, giving him control of his own body again. He rubbed the side of his face where he slapped himself before looking at Ami. He quickly made his way towards her with sympathy.

"Are you okay?" Backdraft asked, receiving a nod from Ami. She removed her frown and replaced it with a smile.

"I'm fine."

"Sorry if my quirk brought up bad memories, Ami." Imiter apologized.

"No. No, you're fine. Really. I think your quirk is amazing!" Ami said, assuring him she was okay.

"Why thank you." Imiter said, bowing in appreciation.

"I can't believe you were able to control his quirk like that, too." Ami said, impressed by Imiter's quirk.

"It's harder than it looks. Disarming the opponent's quirk is easy. Reactivating it is the hard part." Imiter nodded, explaining his quirk.

"So, all a villain has to do is hear your whistle and they're under your control?" Ami asked.

"Mhm."

"Wow." Ami replied, amazed by the power of his quirk. It was certainly close to Shinso's quirk, but not quite.

"Hehe, yeah, I was a force to be reckoned with in my hay day." Imiter laughed, thinking back.

"I bet." Ami laughed.

"I learned a lot in my time as a hero. During my adventures, I made a lot of friends. None more important to me than the woman I fell in love with." Imiter said, making Ami smile.

"Aww. How'd you meet?" She asked.

"At a Hero Gathering in Paris." He answered, "It wasn't too long after I met her that I decided to retire. Bought this property and created the Museum you see today. Speaking of which, what are your thoughts about my Museum?" Imiter asked.

"It's really cool! My brother, Izuku, would love it here." Ami exclaimed, expressing her opinion. Imiter felt satisfied with her answer.

"Hehe. That's good to hear. I take great pride in satisfying the expectations of all of my guests. Even a future hero such as yourself." He said, winking.

"Speaking of, We'll have to pose for a photo sometime during your internship here." He said, causing Ami to look at him in confusion.

"What for?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.

"See that wall over there?" Imiter asked, pointing to her left. Ami followed his finger and stared at the wall, noticing the amount of pictures framed on the wall.

"I've taken a photo with every hero that's ever entered my Museum. You may be a Hero-in-training but you'll be full-fledged some day. Might as well have something to put on display when you finally make your debut." Imiter said, making Ami smile brightly.

"Wow. That sounds great. Thank you so much." She said, accepting the offer.

"You're welcome, Mademoiselle." Imiter bowed. He raised his head up and looked at Backdraft, "Before that, I presume you have something to say Backdraft?" Imiter questioned, receiving a nod from the water hero.

"Yes, right. As you know, I'll be training Ami to help her become a future hero. To do that, I'll need some accommodations." Backdraft requested, receiving a nod.

"Tres bien. Whatever you want." Imiter said.

"In that case, I'd like reserved access to Training Room #1." He requested.

"Done." Imiter approved.

"As well as access to the bigger park." He added.

"Hm. I can let you use the whole thing for 3 hours a day." Imiter said, giving him permission.

"And, if it's not any trouble, some assistance by the Androids." Backdraft finished, receiving a nod from Imiter.

"Absolutely. You can use our security droids. I'm happy to provide you with whatever else you need." He assured, smiling happily.

"Thank you, Sir." Backdraft said.

"Was that all?" Imiter asked.

"Mhm. For now." Backdraft nodded.

"Alrighty then." Imiter said, swiping his hands together. He walked away from his desk and headed towards the elevators, clapping his hands.

"Computer, is the elevator available?" Imiter asked, hearing an audible beep over the intercom.

"No staff or guests currently in the elevator."

"Splendid. Bring it here." Imiter commanded, hearing another beeping sound.

"Yes, Sir."

Ami heard the computer voice and looked up at the ceiling in confusion. She glanced at Backdraft and wondered what was happening next.

"Now what?" She asked, getting his attention.

"There's one more place I forgot to mention." Backdraft explained, before Ami could ask him she was interrupted by Imiter.

"We're going somewhere very important to the functionality of this Museum. After that, we can end our meeting." Imiter explained.

"What is it?" Ami asked.

"Follow me." Imiter said, right as the elevator doors opened up. Ami looked at Backdraft before moving, receiving a nod in approval. She shrugged and made her way to the elevator, followed shortly by Backdraft.

"Computer. Take us to the bunker." Imiter requested, hearing an audible beeping sound in response.

"Moving to the Bunker."

"Bunker?" Ami repeated, questioning the intercom. Imiter nodded and went into explanations.

"Excluding my office, you've seen everything a visitor would see at my Museum, but what you haven't seen is this room." Imiter said, right as the elevator came to a stop. The door made a bell ringing sound before opening up, revealing a previously unseen room.

Ami looked inside the room and felt her eyes immediately adjust to the darkness. The only source of light in the room was from the dozens of television screens surrounding one big monitor in the center. The dark room reminded Ami of the room her class stayed in while watching the combat exercises in All Might's Class. The middle floor was a long straight line surrounded by railing. A staircase on the left and right side of the floor led to a lower level, allowing Imiter to oversee what the staff was doing from above.

"Welcome to the bunker. Otherwise known as the Museum Command Center." Imiter introduced, spreading his arms out wide.

"Hello, everyone!" Imiter greeted, immediately getting the attention of everyone in the room. They all stopped what they were doing and saluted.

"Hello, Imiter, Sir!" The staff shouted, standing firm and respectful.

"Good evening, everybody. We have guests! You know Backdraft. This is his student, a hero-in-training!" Imiter said, looking at Ami with a question.

What's your hero name?" He asked.

"Flame Guard." Ami answered, making him nod.

"And his student, Flame Guard." Imiter introduced, making the staff salute Ami. It was weird seeing a group of strangers saluting her.

"Good evening, Flame Guard!" The staff shouted, acting respectfully.

"Hi." Ami said, waving awkwardly at staff. She didn't know what else to do.

"At ease." Imiter said, prompting the staff to return to work. They immediately settled down and resumed their business. One of the staff members walked up the stairs on the left side and approached Imiter with a portfolio.

"Here's today's report, Sir." The man said, handing Imiter the portfolio. Imiter took it from his hands with a thankful smile.

"Thank you." He said, opening the portfolio and flipping through the pages.

"What is this place?" Ami asked, looking around the room with curiosity.

"This is what keeps the Museum safe. Down here, the security team monitors the Museum and all of its cameras. There are hundreds spread throughout the Museum. Even on the outside." Imiter explained.

"And, in the center screen, is a map of the Museum perimeter." Imiter said, pointing at the main screen. Ami stared at the aerial view of the Museum and nodded.

"Should a villain attack ever occur, security will immediately send the Museum into lockdown procedure." Imiter explained.

"The turrets aren't actually machine guns, right?" Ami asked, confusing Imiter.

"Hm?" Imiter said, raising an eyebrow. He then remembered the display table in the History Area and laughed.

"Oh don't worry. No villain's ever actually attacked the place so those turrets never get used." Imiter said, making Ami more concerned.

"That didn't sound like a no." Ami thought.

"Wow. Look at that. Nighttime is fast approaching." Imiter said, staring at his watch. He turned around and stared at Ami and Backdraft, leaning on the railing. Backdraft looked at him and nodded, tipping his hat in respect.

"Thanks, Mr. Imiter for giving me approval." Backdraft said, appreciating the help. Imiter smiled and nodded at him.

"It's no problem. I'm honored to have my Museum be a part of your Hero Training." Imiter said, glancing at Ami with a nod. He looked back at Backdraft and clasped his hands together, placing them on his lap.

"What shall we do now?" Imiter asked.

"I think it's time we end it here." Backdraft replied, causing Ami to look at him.

"Splendid." Imiter said, standing up from the railing, "Wyvern is waiting on the surface for Ami. I've already given him a heads up." He said, confusing Ami.

"What?" Ami questioned, wondering when Imiter had the time to do that.

"This is where we depart, Ami. I'll need to discuss the plans I have for tomorrow's training session with Imiter." Backdraft clarified, receiving a nod from her in understanding.

"Okay." Ami said, hiding her sadness. It didn't feel like it was over already, even though they walked around for hours.

"Wyvern will show you where you'll be sleeping for the duration of the internship. We're going to jump right into business tomorrow so get some sleep." Backdraft ordered, receiving a nod. Ami stood straight up and smiled, bowing respectfully at Backdraft.

"Yes, Sir!" Ami exclaimed.

"Good. Thank you, Ami. For accepting my offer." Backdraft said, nodding slowly in appreciation.

"Thank you for sending me one." Ami said, hugging Backdraft again. She held him less tightly than before, giving him space to breathe regularly. He looked down at her and smiled, feeling happy.

"Oh. and don't forget to wear your hero costume." Backdraft reminded her. Ami let go of him and smiled.

"Alright." She said, heading towards the elevator. She pressed a button on the side and waved at Backdraft as the elevator doors closed. When they did, she leaned on the wall and took a deep breath, sighing. She was a little disappointed she didn't get to show off her hero costume today, but smiled knowing she will tomorrow. She couldn't wait!

Quirk Museum - Guest Rooms - Night

"This is the room you'll be staying in at night." Wyvern said, opening the door for Ami. Ami entered the room and took in the sights. The room was similar to her house. There was a kitchen, dining room, and living room. To her left was a closet and three doors in the back leading to what she could only assume were bedrooms and a bathroom.

"This is a room? This place is more like an apartment." Ami questioned, looking around the place.

"Well, these areas are meant to be for families." Wyvern explained, shrugging.

"Anyways, I gotta go. If you need anything, just use the phone in the kitchen. Staff will answer and help with whatever you need." Wyvern explained.

"Okay." Ami nodded, placing her luggage by the door.

"Anything you want to say before I go?" Wyvern asked, folding his arms together.

"Yeah. Thanks for everything. It was…fun." Ami admitted, unsure how else to describe Wyvern's interactions. Wyvern flared his nostrils in amusement.

"Which part? The kidnapping or poisoning?" Wyvern asked, raising his eyebrow at Ami. She looked at him with an unamused expression, folding her arms together and letting her silence do the talking.

"Heh." He chuckled, looking down at the floor with a smirk.

"Get some sleep, kiddo. Big day tomorrow." He said, putting his hands in his pocket. He turned around and headed down the hall, leaving Ami standing alone at her door.

"Goodnight, Wyvern." Ami hollered, receiving a wave in response. She watched him reach the corner to the other hall and flared her nostrils, reminding herself of Wyvern's other inhabitant.

"Goodnight, Fuego." She hollered, causing Wyvern to stop. His eyes raised up slightly higher in response, making him dart his eyes to the left without actually looking back to see her. He flared his nostrils and continued to smile, shaking his head slowly as he resumed walking away.

"Thoughtful, isn't she?" He asked the voice inside his head.

"Ugh…" Fuego groaned, making Wyvern raise his eyebrow again.

"Still don't like her?" He questioned, narrowing his eyes. Fuego went silent for a few seconds before he let out another groan in reluctance.

"Maybe less…" He admitted, making Wyvern visibly smile.

"Hehe. Knew you'd cave." Wyvern teased, chuckling at Fuego's expense. He ignored the growls inside his head as he wandered down the quiet halls with a big smile. Back down the hall, Ami listened to Wyvern's footsteps get quieter and quieter and shrugged her shoulders. She grabbed the door knob and retreated back into the room, closing the door.

"Okay…" She whispered, closing the door. She leaned her head on the door and sighed, letting out a yawn.

"Hi, Ami!" A voice said behind her, scaring her.

"Woah!" Ami shouted, leaping into the air with fright. She landed on the door with a thud and turned around, looking down to see Hayato staring up at her with a smile.

"Spark Plug?!" Ami questioned.

"Hehe. Did I scare you?" Hayato smiled mischievously, acting proud of himself. Ami grinned and took her hands off the door, relaxing her body. She had to admit he scared her.

"Yes. I didn't think you'd be in here. What are you doing here?" She questioned, crossing her arms. She raised her eyebrow at him and noticed he wasn't wearing his cardboard costume. He had a white shirt and black pants on. His gloves were the only part of his costume that he kept on. Hayato kept up his proud smile and turned his head to the left, gesturing towards an open door in the back that led to a bedroom.

"I was watching tv in the bedroom. Then I heard voices and went to investigate." Hayato explained. Ami looked at the bedroom and could see the light from the tv illuminating the room. She was satisfied by the answer and looked back down on him with more questions.

"So, why are you here? Shouldn't you be at home or something?" Ami asked, raising her palm upward in confusion. Hayato nodded and laughed at the question.

"That's easy. See, look at this!" Hayato exclaimed, grabbing something out of his pants pocket. He pulled it out and raised it up in the air with pride. Ami looked at the paper in his hand and recognized it as the pamphlet she grabbed earlier.

"The pamphlet?" Ami questioned, wondering how this would answer her question.

"Read it." Hayato said, opening the pamphlet for her. She did as she was told and grabbed the pamphlet, taking a look at it. She looked at the pamphlet and noticed it was already on the right page, reading an advertisement on the upper right hand corner of the pamphlet.

"Leaving so soon? Why not stay the night? VIPs can enjoy a relaxing night in one of our luxury guest rooms. Great for the whole family." Ami said, reading the advertisement out loud. The pamphlet provided an illustration of a family sleeping in a bed. She finished reading the pamphlet and closed it, understanding the situation. It explained to her why there were multiple guest rooms down the halls.

"I see. So, I guess, it's a sleepover now?" Ami asked, making Hayato smile.

"Hehe." He laughed with his eyes closed, feeling joy and happiness. Not only was he happy to spend the day with a UA Student, now he was spending the night with one. Ami looked at Hayato's happy expression and kept her smile going, handing Hayato the pamphlet. She was fine with hanging out with Hayato for a night. The only thing that bothered her about this was whether his parents knew, making her realize something. Who are his parents? They let him take a bus to the Museum all by himself and let him stay the night? That seemed a little strange to Ami.

"Hey, um, I can't believe I didn't ask this before, but, are your parents okay with this? Spending the night at a Museum?" Ami questioned, putting on a serious face with a hint of worry and slight frown. Hayato's smile dropped a bit after hearing the question, making him lower his head. He stared at the floor and played with his gloved fingers.

"It's okay. I've done it before…" Hayato answered, shyly. Ami raised an eye at him questionably, leaning back a bit.

"Really?" Ami questioned, taken aback by the revelation. She wondered how many times he has done this considering he's visited the Museum 2034 times.

"Mhm. My parents aren't home most of the time. So, usually, our butler takes care of me." Hayato explained, squirming a bit out of nervousness. Ami heard the explanation and was even more taken aback. Not just because his parents weren't home most of the time, but the fact he has a butler.

"You have a butler?" Ami questioned out loud, slightly echoing through the room.

"How rich are his parents?" Ami thought, thinking about the financial status of his parents. She looked at him again and looked at his clothes. They were the expensive, fancy rich kid kind of clothes. And the fact he has a VIP pass. It definitely explained a lot.

"Yeah, he's the best!" Hayato exclaimed, clenching his fists with excitement.

"He helps me with making changes to my hero costume." Hayato explained.

"That's sweet." Ami admitted, feeling happy for him. His parents aren't home a lot but at least there is someone who takes care of him.

"So, he lets you stay here at the Museum?" Ami asked, finding it odd that even the butler is okay with him being alone here.

"Mhm. As long as I call and tell him where I am, then he's okay with it." Hayato answered, making Ami feel better.

"That's good." Ami said, hiding her other opinion. That's weird. There's definitely more to it than that. Then again, the Museum is the safest place he could possibly be that isn't his own home. She smirked and shrugged her shoulders, accepting him.

"I guess if his parents and butler are okay with it, then it should be fine." Ami thought.

"Alright then." Ami said, moving on. She looked around the room and saw the doors in the back, guessing which one was the bathroom.

"Which one is the bathroom?" Ami asked. Hayato smiled and turned around, pointing at the reddish brown door in the middle.

"The middle." Hayato said, receiving a nod from Ami.

"Thanks. I'll be in the bathroom. I need to take a shower." She said, grabbing hold of her luggage.

"Okay, I'll be in the other room. Oh, and you don't have to call me Spark Plug anymore. I'm off duty, see?" Hayato said, gesturing to his clothes.

"Hmph. Alright then, Hayato." Ami said, smiling at his clothes. She turned around and headed towards the bathroom door.

"I'll be out quickly." Ami said, heading into the bathroom with her luggage in tow.

Somewhere else

"Now I get it." Stain said, staring at the villain in front of him with a glare. He glanced at the villain who brought him here and understood who they were.

"You must be the ones who attacked UA." Stain realized, knowing exactly what purpose bringing him here serves, "And you wanna recruit me to build up your little group again." He assumed, glaring at the villain with a hand covering his face. The combination of his wild blue hair and massive hand mask made it hard to see the villain's eyes. Kurogiri nodded in response, glancing back-and-forth between Stain and Tomura.

"Yeah. It'll be great, you've got so much experience." Shigaraki said, praising the Hero Killer. Stain kept his glare aimed at him, unaffected by the villain's praise.

"And what's your mission?" He questioned, causing Shigaraki to pause. He stared up at the ceiling and really thought about that question, seeing more than one face pop up in his head.

"For now? I really just wanna kill All Might. I like to destroy anything that pisses me off." Shigaraki answered, lowering his face. Stain kept up his glare as Tomura's left eye became visible. Tomura raised his hand upward, showing off several photos in his hand. He flicked his fingers, causing the picture in the back to reveal itself with the front.

"Like these little brats here. Game over." Shigaraki stated, showing off the photos in his hand. Stain looked at the two in the photo and noticed their similarities. They both had green hair and faces that had determination written all over them. He quickly noticed the obvious. These two were students and clearly teenagers. His glare increased even harder at the villain.

"I was a fool to think you could offer me anything. It turns out, you're the type of person I hate the most in this world." Stain stated, getting confused looks from Shigaraki and Kurogiri.

"Hm?" Shigaraki replied, questionably.

"The goals of your "league" are those of a child." Stain said, grabbing onto his blades on his hips, "What meaning is there to killing if you don't have real convictions?" He stated. Kurogiri listened to his words and narrowed his eyes, closely examining the Hero Killer's actions.

"The Hero Killer Stain. Tomura Shigaraki cares only about wanton violence, so we brought this man in to guide him. Perhaps we made a mistake." Kurogiri said, watching as the Hero Killer unsheathed his blades. He raised his palm outward towards the television screen in the back with caution.

Master. Should I step in?" Kurogiri asked, sensing a fight was commencing.

"Let it happen. It's possible this is the only way he'll learn anything. He needs to think about the ways he must grow. How he can mature. Only then will he reach his potential." The Master said. Shigaraki heard the Master's voice and narrowed his eyes, flexing his muscles. He charged towards Stain without any hesitation, forcing him to react. Kurogiri watched from the sidelines and quickly sprung into action, going against the Master's wishes. He needed to keep Tomura safe.

Quirk Museum - Guest Rooms

Ami exited the bathroom in her pajamas, feeling happy and clean. As soon as she left the bathroom, she caught a whiff of something that smelled good. She sniffed the air and called out to Hayato.

"I'm out! Spark Plu- Hayato?" Ami said, walking around the living room. She smelled the air and followed the scent, entering the kitchen.

"Whoa!" She exclaimed, staring at the dinner table and seeing a whole collection of food.

"Where'd all this food come from?" She exclaimed, feeling her mouth water.

"I called room service!" Hayato exclaimed, appearing behind her. Ami didn't just this time at his surprise appearance, having expected it from him. She smiled at him as he made his way to the dinner table, taking out a chair for him and her.

"It's dinnertime. Want some? It's delicious." Hayato offered, looking at Ami with a hungry smile. Ami stared at the table with hunger. There was all kinds of food available. However, she quickly realized how unhealthy all of it was.

"I shouldn't be eating this but, oh well, I guess I can cheat for the day." Ami said, swiping her hands together deviously. No one will ever know. She'll work the calories off tomorrow.

"Cheat on what?" Hayato said, grabbing a chicken wing.

"I'm usually on a specific diet." Ami said, taking a seat and grabbing a plate full of hot wings.

"Oh. Like losing weight." Hayato said, innocently. Ami laughed at his innocent comparison, eating happily.

"Yeah. But this food plan is meant to help build muscle and improve stamina." Ami explained, going after another plate of food.

"Wow. Is that what Heroes do to get stronger?" Hayato asked, eating a slice of pizza.

"Hehe. Sort of." Ami smiled, eating another slice of pizza with Hayato. She enjoyed eating every bit of her late dinner, choosing not to think of the consequences of eating. That was future Ami's problem.

She smiled happily as her and Hayato talked to each other about heroes. They ate, smiled, laughed, and drank soda to their heart's content. Eventually, Ami had reached the limit of her stomach, rubbing it in satisfaction. She was completely full. Hayato was still eating food on his side of the table, watching as Ami stood up and stretched.

"Do you want more?" Hayato asked, looking up at Ami.

"No thanks. I'm stuffed." Ami said, patting her stomach, she continued to stretch her limbs out. She pulled out her phone from her pajama pocket and looked at the time, realizing how late it was getting. She then remembered what she was supposed to do tonight, letting her eyes go wide.

"Crap. I forgot to call Izzy." Ami said, facepalming in embarrassment.

"Who?" Hayato asked, quickly receiving an answer.

"My brother." Ami explained, going to her contacts. She looked at Izuku's number and smiled.

"Is there anywhere private?" Ami asked, looking at Hayato. He raised his shoulders in response.

"You can use the other bedroom." Hayato replied, motioning towards the other door.

"Alright. Thanks. I'll be in there." Ami said, moving into the bedroom.

"Okay!" Hayato said, returning to eating dinner.

Ami entered the bedroom and closed the door, keeping it locked. She walked over towards the other bathroom door and locked it as well. She sighed and flipped the switch on the wall, turning the lights on in the room. The bedroom had a giant queen-sized bed in the middle of the room with drawers on the left and right side of it. There was a table with a tv on the opposite wall. It was a pretty nice room. She wandered over to the bed and sat down, dropping her full body on it. She relaxed her body and sunk into the bed, embracing the sheets in comfort.

She raised her head up and looked up at her phone, bringing it up to her face. She arched her back and plopped her chin on a pillow, scrolling through her contacts. As she did, a memory of this morning played in her head.

"Well, guess it's time to get moving. I'll call you tonight, Izzy. Wherever I'm supposed to go." Ami said, echoing in her head.

"Mhm. I'll be waiting." Izuku said, smiling and hugging Ami. Ami smiled at the memory, feeling bad for not calling earlier. She then thought about her friends and wondered how their internships went. Shrugging that thought aside, she looked at Izuku's profile and hit the phone button, calling him.

Gran Torino's Residence

The sound of a phone ringing sent vibrations through his body. Izuku went wide eyed and patted his legs, searching for his pocket. He quickly found it and pulled out his phone, seeing a picture of Ami on the screen. He smiled warmly at the photo, quickly answering the phone with a happy feeling. Finally, she was calling. By the time he remembered to expect a call from Ami, he was worried she had forgotten.

"Hello? Ami?" Izuku said, holding the phone up to his ear.

"Hey, Izzy." Ami said, laying on the queen-sized bed in the bedroom.

"Ami, hi. You called." Izuku greeted, happy to finally hear her voice albeit later than expected.

"I know, sorry it's late. Lots of stuff happened today, I'm just now starting to unwind." Ami explained. Izuku nodded in understanding as if she would know he was nodding.

"That's okay. I'm happy." Izuku said, making her feel better. He flared his nostrils a bit and squirmed, tilting his head a bit.

"Things were crazy for you, too, huh?" Izuku asked.

"Yeah." Ami admitted with a smirk, "I'm surprised you didn't call me instead." She stated.

"Sorry. I thought you might have fallen asleep already. So I didn't want to wake you up." Izuku said, making Ami frown.

"Oh, man. I didn't even think about Izuku being asleep. At least he's awake." Ami thought, realizing her mistake.

"What are you doing up so late anyway?" Ami asked, moving on.

"Nothing much. I was just…waiting for you." Izuku said, straining a bit. He groaned a little through the phone mic, picking it up on Ami's side. She heard his groan and raised an eyebrow, wondering what was happening. She still frowned at the thought that Izuku was waiting for her to call.

"For me? Sorry, Izzy." Ami apologized.

"It's fine. At least we're talking to each other now." Izuku said, cheering her up.

"That's true." She replied, rolling around on the bed. She laid on her back and stared up at the ceiling.

"So, what happened with Gran Torino?" She asked.

"He's not at all what I expected." Izuku said, surprising her.

"At first, I thought he was crazy. But he was actually just testing me. I could tell how much of an influence he had on All Might." He added, causing Ami to smile.

"Has he taught you anything?" She asked.

"Yeah. He actually knows a lot about One For All and he's helped me better understand my power." Izuku happily replied, feeling like his grasp was changing for the better.

"What about you, Ami? How was meeting Backdraft?" He asked, causing Ami to frown slightly.

"It went fine. There were a few delays along the way, but it was fun. One of them was a kid I shared a bus seat with." Ami said, truthfully.

"Hm? A kid?" Izuku questioned, wondering what happened.

"Mhm. His name's Hayato Ishida, but he calls himself Spark Plug." Ami said, intriguing Izuku.

"Spark Plug?" He repeated, wondering what that meant. Ami nodded and explained further into detail.

"Mhm. That's his hero name. It's what he wants to call himself when he grows up. You shoulda seen him, Izzy. He had a hero costume made out of cardboard and everything." Ami laughed, smiling fondly at his costume in her head.

"It was adorable." She whispered into the phone.

"Why are you whispering?" Izuku asked.

"In case he's listening. He's actually in the other room." Ami whispered, surprising Izuku.

"He's with you still?" He asked, not expecting him to be around.

"Uh huh. He's got a VIP pass that lets him do whatever he wants. Even spend the night in the guest rooms here." Ami answered. That made sense to Izuku, deciding to focus on her mention of his costume.

"Wow. So he's got a hero costume and a name already? That's amazing!" Izuku exclaimed, making Ami smile.

"I thought you'd agree." Ami replied.

"What's his quirk? Is it electricity like Kaminari?" Izuku questioned, causing Ami's smile to falter.

"...I don't know exactly. I haven't asked yet." Ami admitted.

"Oh, sorry." Izuku apologized, moving on, "You said there were a few delays? What else happened?" He asked.

"Oh, well, I thought Hayato was taking me to see Backdraft but he actually just wanted to show me around the Museum. He apologized already, so I was fine with it, but I only figured that out once another hero showed up." Ami replied.

"Another hero?" Izuku questioned, raising his head up a bit.

"Yeah. This guy. He's the other delay. He was actually sitting next to Backdraft at the Sports Festival." Ami explained.

"What's his name?" Izuku asked.

"Wyvern. Ever heard of him?" Ami answered, hoping Izuku would recognize the name.

"Wyvern? I don't think so. I'd have to see a picture. What does his quirk do?" Izuku replied, not knowing any hero named Wyvern. In recent times at least.

"That's the good part. Get this. His quirk is sentient like Tokoyami's." Ami said, making Izuku's eyes widen.

"Whoa." He gasped.

"Yeah, and it's the opposite of Dark Shadow, too. He's made of living flames. Wyvern calls him Fuego." Ami elaborated, lifting her head off the bed.

"That's amazing. I can't believe I've never heard of him before." Izuku said.

"He told me he likes keeping a low profile. Apparently his hero ranking is in the hundred thousands." Ami explained, causing Izuku to flinch and stutter.

"Hundred thousands? That's super low." Izuku said, shocked by such a low ranking.

"That's what I was thinking." Ami said, knowing Izuku couldn't see her nodding her head in agreement.

"Anyways, I thought he was taking me to see Backdraft but then I learned he just wanted to mess around with me."

"What did he do?" Izuku asked.

"He introduced me to Fuego by making me use my quirk to eat him." Ami said, still feeling the slightest bit of annoyance out of what happened.

"What?" Izuku repeated, shocked by what happened.

"Yeah, I practically had a heart attack the first time I saw him." Ami admitted, remembering the sinking feeling in her heart.

"Thankfully, he told Hayato to get him pretzels and some water. Once he came back, he reunited me with Backdraft." Ami said, thankful for his help.

"That's good." Izuku commented.

"Yup and the rest of the day was smooth sailing. We just toured the Museum and ended it there. I guess technically my internship truly starts tomorrow." Ami explained, finishing her summary of events.

"That's good. Sounds like you were one place after the next?" Izuku joked, laughing awkwardly. Ami smirked in amusement, holding in her laugh.

"Yeah, it was crazy. But I pulled through. I wish you were here. You would love this place, Izzy." She said, smiling at the thought of hanging out at the Museum.

"I'm sure I would. It sounds amazing." Izuku complimented, agreeing whole heartedly. He shuffled the phone around his ear and pulled it closer, trying to keep it from falling.

"Anyways, I should probably get going." Ami frowned.

"Sounds like we both have busy days tomorrow?" Izuku questioned.

"I guess so. Are you gonna be okay?" Ami asked, hoping things were going fine.

"Yeah. I think Gran Torino's been an amazing teacher so far. I'm sure I'll be fine." Izuku stated, sounding more tired than before.

"That's good." Ami said, hearing more strange sounds from Izuku's side.

"Also…" Ami said, frowning a little in concern. Izuku heard the tone in her voice and felt worried.

"What is it, Ami?" He asked.

"Izzy, are you okay? You sound like you're tired." Ami questioned, listening to the sounds of his breathing.

"Oh. Yeah, I'm fine." Izuku assured, dangling slightly.

"You sure?" Ami repeated for confirmation.

"Really, Sis. I'm fine…" Izuku paused, looking at his foot. He had jumped between the walls of two buildings and accidentally caught a piece of his costume on a satellite antenna attached to a fire escape. He was hanging upside down this whole time. He didn't know how else to describe his situation without giving it away.

"I'm just…hanging around, hehe." Izuku laughed fakely, his tone of voice easily coming through Ami's phone.

"That better not be literal." Ami warned, making Izuku laugh. Ami flared her nostrils and shook her head, letting it slide.

"Oh, well. Just take it easy, okay? There's no Recovery Girl to fix you, you know." She warned, reminding him of potential danger. He gulped and felt his face get redder from the blood rush.

"I know. I'll do my best, Ami." Izuku replied, assuring her he would be careful.

"Good luck with your internship." Izuku said.

"Same with yours. Goodnight, Izzy." Ami said, returning to a comfortable smile.

"Night, Ami." Izuku said, smiling widely with happiness. He hung up his phone and put it back in his pocket. He kept smiling and raised his head up, looking at the satellite antenna caught on his costume. He raised his hands upward and attempted to grab himself, grunting loudly.

He was having difficulty reaching his legs in the awkward position he was in. He gritted his teeth and tried again, grunting loudly.

He kept trying until he heard a light switch turn on. He stopped what he was doing and looked in front of him, seeing light through the apartment window. He watched a shadow approach the window and froze. The shadow opened up the window and peeked outside. Izuku made eye contact with the man and watched as his eyes shrank with surprise and a little fear. There was a stranger outside his window dangling on his satellite antenna dressed in some weird costume.

"Uh- hi." Izuku said, looking at the person staring at him through the window. The person in the window stared at him in shock. In Hosu, Ami heard Izuku hang up and facepalmed, knowing Izuku was definitely doing some unaccompanied late night training.

"Oh, Izuku…" She whispered, rubbing her face with both hands. She pulled the phone away from her ear and sighed, turning it off. She checked the time on a clock by the nightstand and realized how late it was. She got out of bed and headed towards the door, unlocking both and exiting the room.

"Finish talking?" Hayato asked, staring at Ami with curiosity.

"Mhm. I'm uh-" Ami yawned, interrupting herself, "-going to bed now." She finished.

"You should get some sleep, too. It's pretty late." Ami recommended, resting her hands on her hips. Hayato looked at her with a sad frown.

"Aww." He moaned in sadness. Ami smiled at his sad frown in amusement, knowing he was definitely tired.

"Heroes need rest, Hayato. Even the short ones." Ami teased, causing him to gasp.

"I'm not short. I'm still growing." He countered, standing up to his full height. Ami scoffed in amusement, shaking her head at him.

"Yeah, but you'll stay that height if you don't get a good night's sleep." Ami said, brushing the top of his head with her hand.

"Okay…" Hayato frowned, giving in. He headed towards the bedroom and stood by the doorframe, watching Ami pack her things up. He watched her head towards the direction of the master bedroom and frowned.

"You're sleeping in that room?" Hayato questioned, getting Ami's attention.

"Yeah. Why?" Ami asked, looking at his sad eyes.

"I thought we were having a sleepover…" Hayato sulked, looking down at the floor and fiddling around with his gloves. Ami looked at the sad expression on his face and frowned as well, realizing what she had to do.

"How many beds are in the other room?" She asked, causing Hayato to make eye contact with her. His eyes were like staring into a puppy. There were even tears, making Ami feel like she was being coerced.

"They're both bunk beds." He said, plainly. Ami heard the answer and sighed. Bunk beds. Bunk beds were fun. She always wanted to sleep in one. She looked at Hayato and smirked.

"Okay." Ami relented, bringing back the joy in Hayato's face in an instant. That was quick. Too quick. Now Ami really did feel coerced. She sighed and headed towards the bedroom.

"Yay! Can I have the top one?" Hayato exclaimed, throwing his fists in the air.

"Sure." Ami agreed, walking past Hayato and entering the room. She saw no point in deciding which one would get the bottom bed or top one.

"Yes!" Hayato exclaimed.

10 Minutes Later

"Ready to sleep?" Ami asked, lying comfortably on the bottom bunk.

"Uh huh." Hayato replied. He shifted around on the top bunk, staring at the turned off television across the room.

"Hey, Ami." Hayato said, getting Ami's attention.

"Yeah?" She replied.

"Have you ever slept in a bunk bed before?" He asked. Ami stared up at the bottom of the top bunk and frowned, remembering the past. She wished. It's been a long time since she ever thought of having a bunk bed. And it has been a very long time since she and Izuku shared a room.

"No. My brother and I used to sleep in the same crib, but then we got older. We've had our own rooms for as long as I can remember." Ami answered, making Hayato nod. He continued to stare at the blank tv screen and clenched his gloved fists tightly. He remembered watching the Sports Festival on television with his butler. He thought about the fights and remembered the green haired boy that was Ami's brother. Izuku Midoriya. He thought about him and how he acted in the fights, remembering the way he used his odd quirk. He remembered his butler would shield his eyes so he wouldn't see the fingers breaking. His butler would then unblock his eyes after the fact. The way his butler tried to hide the injuries on the tv confused him.

"What's he like?" Hayato asked, getting Ami's attention.

"My brother?" Ami asked.

"Mhm." He nodded, rustling his sheets. Ami put her hands behind her head and smirked, thinking about Izuku's happy smile.

"He's a lot like you actually." Ami admitted, causing Hayato to raise his eyes.

"Really?" He asked, looking skeptical.

"Mhm. He's smart, creative, polite, understanding…He's the best brother you could ever ask for." Ami answered, thinking about everything she liked about him.

"His quirk is cool, too." Hayato said, smiling. Ami paused, staring up at the bottom of the top bunk. She knew Hayato knew nothing about One For All. Thinking about it from his perspective, he's only seen whatever was on television. Meaning he only knew what people assumed Izuku's quirk is. Super Strength. She smirked and flared her nostrils in agreement.

"Yeah. It's pretty cool." Ami said.

"How strong is it?" Hayato asked, making Ami realize he wanted to know more about him. She quickly thought about what to say and what not to say. She thought back to what everyone has seen involving Izuku's quirk.

"Really strong. He's still trying to get a handle on it, though." Ami said, getting Hayato's attention.

"He can't control it?" He asked, darting his left-and-right in thought. Ami shook her head as if Hayato would see it.

"No. Not right now…but he's trying his best to make it work." Ami explained, causing Hayato to frown. He thought about her words and her brother's actions. He glanced down at his hands, staring directly at his gloves.

"So, he's like…me…" Hayato blurted out, getting quieter with each word. Ami heard everything and went silent, repeating Hayato's words in her head.

"What? Can he not control his quirk, either?" Ami questioned, trying to understand what he meant. She returned to reality and gulped, staring up at the top bunk with a sudden bit of nervousness.

"...Hey, Hayato?" Ami said, getting his attention.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"About what happened earlier. With your gloves." Ami brought up, making him frown.

"Uh huh?"

"You said you couldn't take them off. I wanted to ask sooner, but everything sort of…happened. So, I let it go. Can you not take them off because of your…because of your quirk?" Ami questioned, hearing the room get very quiet. Nothing was said for a few seconds before finally Hayato said something.

"...Yeah." He answered.

"I'm sorry. This must be a sensitive subject for you." Ami apologized, forcing Hayato to take action.

"No. It's okay. I wanted to tell you earlier but it…slipped my mind." He said.

"Are you okay with telling me?" Ami asked, hearing an audible gulping sound from the top bunk.

"Yeah, but it's a little hard to explain." Hayato said with hesitation in his voice.

"My hero name, Spark Plug, is actually the name of my quirk. I thought it was cool so I used it for my hero name." Hayato explained.

"What does it do?" Ami asked. Hayato clenched his fists and gulped. No going back now.

"My hands release electricity that acts like a trigger. I can forcefully turn on any electronics. The doctors named it after some device in cars because of what it does." Hayato explained.

"That's like Kaminari's quirk." Ami thought, thinking about Kaminari.

"It comes from his hands so that must be the reason for the gloves. He can't turn it off." Ami realized, feeling worse for bringing it up.

"But it's different for living things." Hayato added, causing Ami to pause. She narrowed her eyes in confusion, wondering what that meant.

"How different?" She asked. She heard Hayato audibly gulp.

"When I touch something alive, I can choose what part of them gets shocked. Just the leg, a hand, both, or more." Hayato explained, providing an example.

"I see." Ami replied. Other than not being able to turn it off, his quirk didn't seem that bad.

"At least…That's how it used to work." Hayato said. Ami heard that and realized she spoke too soon.

"What do you mean?" She questioned.

"I didn't always need to wear gloves. A few years ago, my quirk started to mess up." Hayato explained, confusing Ami.

"Why?" She asked, concerned.

"My doctors aren't really sure yet." He answered honestly.

"Who are your doctors?" Ami questioned.

"They work in the Science Area. The Medical Center on the 5th floor." Hayato answered, continuing his explanation.

"My parents knew Imiter in the past. They told him about my problem and offered to have a look at me. That's why I'm here all the time. That's why I have a VIP Pass. And why my parents don't mind me staying here." Hayato explained.

"So, you can't turn it off?" Ami asked, feeling sorry for him.

"Mhm." Hayato answered.

"But what about controlling it?" She asked, causing him to interrupt.

"I can't control the power of my shocks. And the part of a person my quirk targets is… Unexpected." Hayato explained, making Ami even more concerned.

"Unexpected?" Ami thought, wondering the implication. His quirk targets a part of a person's body without him choosing. So what does it target?

What's the target?" Ami asked, receiving a reluctant answer.

"My quirk…it targets…the Quirk Factor." Hayato admitted, causing Ami's eyes to widen.

"The Quirk Factor? But, how?" Ami questioned, subconsciously clutching her flame organ under the blanket.

"I don't know. The doctors said that when my quirk started messing up, it must've changed its function. So, it used how I turn on electronics as a stepping stone. And, I guess my quirk assumed the Quirk Factor was the closest to an electronic in the body." Hayato assumed, remembering what the doctors told him as best he could. Ami thought about the implications some more.

"It's like a light switch. When you flip the switch on, it turns on the lights in the room. So when Hayato touches someone it's like turning on the lights in the room. Only he's turning on their quirk." Ami thought, realizing the danger. She felt worse than she did before. No wonder Hayato didn't say anything. A quirk like that is almost unheard of.

"It's like the opposite of Mr. Aizawa's quirk. Instead of Forced Quirk Cancellation, it's Forced Quirk Activation." She thought, simplifying Hayato's quirk in her mind. The only difference was he's literally hurting the quirk itself. And that would hurt the person, too.

"So, when you touch someone, it hurts them, right?" Ami asked.

"Mhm." Hayato said, nodding lightly. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, holding back his emotions as he thought about the effects his quirk causes on others.

"Since I can't control the voltage anymore, I'm already hurting them a ton just by touching them. It's only after I touch them longer than two seconds that their quirk starts to activate." Hayato stuttered, shaking a little at the memory of using it on another person. Ami could see the top bunk shake and frowned, feeling emotional.

"I hurt one of the doctors during the test." He admitted, catching Ami off guard.

"He's okay now, but…I still did it. And I couldn't do anything to stop it." Hayato said, feeling his nose run as tears streamed out of his face.

"Hayato…" Ami whispered, feeling completely sympathetic.

"I-I like my quirk. I r-really do. But, if I-I can't control it. Then…then…." Hayato said, crying his eyes out.

"Hey!" Ami said, raising her voice at him. Hayato stopped and lifted his head up, looking at the end of the bunk bed and seeing Ami's face staring at him. She was holding onto the ladder. He stared at her with tears coming out of his eyes and snot coming out of his nose. She looked at him and frowned, doing her best to stay strong. She climbed up the ladder and got to the top, sitting on the edge of the top bunk. Hayato curled up his legs and gave Ami more space to sit down at the opposite end. Hayato's sniffling was the only thing making noise in the room. Ami looked at him with worry and sighed.

"This whole time I thought it was just Izuku that I saw in you." Ami thought, looking at Hayato with empathy. She squinted her eyes and blinked, seeing her younger self appear where Hayato was. She blinked again and stared at Hayato, forcing a smile on her lips.

"It's okay, Hayato. I understand." Ami said, causing Hayato to pause.

"You do?" He questioned, receiving a nod in response. Ami stared at the blank tv screen across the room and folded her arms together, remembering the past.

"I was afraid of hurting others with my quirk, too." Ami said, clenching her fists. Hayato sniffled and leaned forward, sitting across from her with the sheets wrapped around him.

"When my quirk manifested, it happened while I was in class." Ami explained, getting Hayato to listen, "I got the hiccups and set some desks on fire. I didn't hurt anyone, but…it sure felt like it." She frowned, thinking about how she felt.

"I had no control of my quirk when I got the hiccups. So, when it stopped, I thought my quirk would activate at any minute and start again." Ami said.

"Because of that, I got distant. Paranoid." Ami said, coughing a little, "I even wore this big puffy jacket that covered my mouth." Ami said, making a slight smirk. The ridiculousness of thinking a fireproof jacket could hold back her flames was a little funny to think about looking back now.

"You couldn't turn your quirk off?" Hayato asked, sniffling less and less. Ami looked at him and frowned, shaking her head slightly.

"I could, but sometimes, when it got really cold, my quirk activated itself. Self preservation, I guess." Ami theorized, shrugging her shoulders.

"Freaked me out when it happened. I thought it would start all over again." Ami said with a sad sigh.

"So what did you do?" Hayato asked, returning Ami's smile.

"Well, I thought, instead of breathing fire. I would focus on eating flames instead. It's funny, my quirk manifested as fire breathing, but when I went to the doctors for tests, they learned I could inhale flames from my environment. Hence why my quirk became known as Flame Catcher." Ami explained, grinning a little.

"After that, my mom got me a lighter to practice eating flames. I've been carrying it around with me ever since." Ami said, getting Hayato's interest. He sniffled a bit and looked at Ami with an incredulous stare.

"Do you have it now?" He asked.

"Mhm." Ami nodded, putting her hand in her right pocket. She pulled out a lighter and held it in her hand. She looked at the lighter and smiled fondly at it. Hayato saw the lighter in her hand and leaned forward to get a better look, squeezing the sheets with his gloved hands.

"Wow." He said in a low voice, Ami nodded slowly in agreement.

"I practiced and practiced. Eventually, I realized I didn't have to worry about my quirk activating by itself ever again." Ami said, smiling sympathetically at Hayato.

Do you think that'll happen to me? Do you think my quirk will work again?" Hayato questioned, holding back his tears with slight hope. Ami looked at him with a warm smile, putting her lighter back in her pocket and nodding at him.

"Hayato, your quirk is amazing. Despite what you think or what anyone else tells you." Ami said, causing Hayato to go silent. Ami stared solemnly at him and placed her hands on his shoulders, making him feel safe.

"You said it yourself. Your quirk changed. That means it can change again. Whether or not, it's you or the doctors that finds out why, I know you'll get control again. You can't give up, Hayato. You can't." Ami pleaded, looking at him with sympathy. Hayato heard her words and sniffled, welling up his emotions as best he could. Her kind words made him feel better. Better than he's ever felt before.

"You t-think so?" He asked, feeling hopeful as he tightened his grip on his bed sheets. Ami continued to smile at him and nodded.

"I know so." She said, making Hayato smile back at her. He leaned forward and hugged Ami, keeping his hands under the bed sheets despite being gloved.

"Thank you, A-Ami." Hayato squeaked, sounding like he needed to clear his throat of mucus. His tears came flooding out of his eyes again, falling on Ami's shoulder. She was surprised by the hug at first but was fine with it, hugging him back with a sympathetic smile. She was sure the hug made Hayato feel better. She also felt better from the hug. It was like she was hugging herself. Hayato was like her in a lot of ways. But despite knowing what his quirk is capable of he's still the happiest kid she's ever met. His feelings towards his quirk were a lot better than hers at 10 years old. After a minute, the two broke free from the hug. Hayato kept sniffling and blew his nose with a tissue, feeling better than he did before. Ami smiled at him and yawned. She moved towards the ladder and climbed out of the top bunk, returning to the bottom bunk.

"Let's get some sleep now, okay?" Ami said, covering herself with the blankets.

"Okay." Hayato complied, laying his head on his pillow with a hopeful smile.

"Goodnight, Ami." Hayato said. Ami smiled and laid her head on her pillow.

"Goodnight, Hayato." She replied, letting each other drift off into sleep.

Somewhere else

"So you want me to be a part of your crumbling little league. But you won't accomplish anything if you don't have conviction and desire. Without those, you'll always be an aimless weakling. Achieving nothing. That's how you got here." Stain snarled, staring down at Tomura on the floor. Shigaraki stared up at him in surprise, wincing at the pain on both of his shoulders. The Hero Killer had easily overpowered him and managed to fling himself at Kurogiri and wound him before falling back on top of him. The fight didn't even last longer than thirty seconds.

"Hey, now." Shigaraki strained, breathing heavily.

"You're being a little rough, aren't you?" Shigaraki said, acting calmer than before. He darted his eyes upward and saw Kurogiri leaning on the bar counter with bleed seeping out of his shoulder.

"Kurogiri, take this guy back." Shigaraki ordered.

"I'm sorry. I can't move. It must be the Hero Killer's quirk at work." Kurogiri apologized, unable to move. Shigaraki looked at him and felt sweat form on his face. This was bad.

"The word "hero" has lost all meaning in this society." Stain said, sneering, "The world is overrun by fakes and criminals like you who chase petty dreams. They must all be purged." Stain said, bringing his blade closer to Shigaraki's neck. Tomura glared back at Stain and quickly grabbed hold of the knife with his hand, clenching it tightly. His quick action surprised Stain as his shoulders were still bleeding heavily.

"What do you think you're doing? Shigaraki asked in a menacing whisper.

"If you touch this palm…I'll kill you." He warned, activating his quirk. Stain grunted in surprise, hearing his blade begin to crack.

"You sure talk a lot "Hero Killer." Shigaraki mocked, "Conviction? Maybe I don't have anything as loaded as that." He stated, crushing the blade into dust. Stain let go of the blade and stared into Shigaraki's sadistic eyes.

"If I had to choose a desire, though… Yeah, it'd be killing All Might. If this world wants to worship trash like him, I'll destroy their beloved symbol of peace, and then crush them while they're in shock." Shigaraki threatened, causing the Hero Killer to flinch slightly. He felt a dreadful aura emanating off Shigaraki that alerted his senses. He stepped back and felt his body tense up and quickly jumped back towards the door, watching as Shigaraki began to get back up with a frustrated groan, his adrenaline numbed the pain in his bloody shoulders.

"The last of my injuries was finally about to finish healing, and now this. You should learn not to play with knives. We don't have a healer in our party, you know." Shigaraki scolded him, looking at him with just his left eye. He scratched his neck with his left hand, turning the skin red. Shigaraki glared at the villain and kept his focus.

"I see your nature. It seems our goals fundamentally oppose each other. However, this wasn't in vain. We agree that we need to destroy the present." Stain said with a disturbing smile. Shigaraki scratched his neck and scoffed, dropping his hands to his sides.

"I'm over this. Leave, drop dead. I'm the kind of person you hate most, right?" Shigaraki questioned, making the Hero Killer scoff.

"I was testing your motives." Stain clarified, receiving a raised eyebrow from Shigaraki.

"People always show their true colors when on the verge of death." Stain said, returning his knife to his side, "It's abnormal, but there is desire, a warped sprout of conviction, inside of you. How will it bloom in the end, I wonder?" Stain questioned.

"Maybe I'll let you grow. If you don't turn out well, I'll take care of you later." Stain threatened, raising his hands out.

"You think you could get rid of me?" Shigaraki asked, feeling rage build inside him.

"I'm free." Kurogiri said, feeling able to move again.

"Kurogiri." Shigaraki called out, pointing at the Hero Killer with a glare, "Someone as crazy as this would be nothing but a problem for the League of Villains." Shigaraki said, unironically. Kurogiri looked at Tomura with reluctance.

"Please reconsider. This man will be a great asset if he joins us. I'd say this was a success." Kurogiri stated, receiving a snarl from Stain.

"My business here is done." Stain said, glaring at Kurogiri, "Now, you will return me to Hosu." Stain ordered.

"There are still several false heroes I must attend to there." He said, licking his lips with desire.

Quirk Museum - Guest Rooms

Ami's eyes opened up, lifting her head off her pillow. She squinted her eyes and adjusted to the darkness of the bedroom. She looked around in confusion for a split second before remembering where she was.

"That's right. I'm at the Museum." She thought, frowning a little. She missed home already. Thinking about it more, this was the first time she'd slept in a bed that wasn't her own. Not counting the bed in the Nurse's Office, of course. She wasn't used to this. She laid on the bed in silence, closing her eyes and attempting to sleep.

That turned out to be easier said than done. She tossed and turned in the bed, unable to fall back asleep.

"Ugh." She thought, mentally sighing in exhaustion. She squinted her eyes open and looked at her phone, keeping the brightness down. She'd only been asleep for three hours. She listened to the quiet room and heard Hayato sleeping soundly on the top bunk. She listened to his breathing and smiled. At least he was getting some sleep. She frowned at her inability to sleep, giving up entirely. Slowly, she climbed out of bed and exited the room. Ami wandered around the guest room with a blank stare, doing nothing in an attempt to feel tired. She entered the kitchen and looked at the table, noticing all of the food was still there.

"Crap. We forgot to clean up." Ami thought, staring wide eyed at the food. She looked at the food with a frown and inspected it, noticing there was nothing much left. Everything that was left uneaten was already spoiled. She sighed and started to clean up. She looked around for a trash can and quickly realized there was none.

"What kind of kitchen doesn't have a trash can?" She thought, looking around. She opened a pantry and looked inside, seeing a trash bag inside. She raised her eyebrow at the bag, realizing that's all there was.

She shrugged and pulled out a bag, beginning the cleanup process. She quietly gathered up the trash and placed all the dishes in the sink. She had to clean those later when Hayato was awake. She didn't want to risk waking him up.

"Now what?" She whispered to herself, staring into the trash bag. She zipped it up and tied it, holding it with one hand. She didn't know whether to leave it in the kitchen or look for a trash can in the halls. Thinking that no one was awake, she decided to walk down the halls. She headed towards the door and stopped herself, looking down at her clothes. She was still in pajamas. She contemplated changing out of them but realized how late it was, or, how early it was.

"No one's awake." Ami thought, sure of herself. She opened the door and entered the halls, holding the trash bag in her hand. She looked down the hall to the left and down the hall to the right. She looked on the wall and read the signs for directions.

Trash & Recycling →

"Hmm." Ami said, nodding slowly. She turned to the right and walked down the hall, thinking back to when she got here. She remembered passing by the trash room when Wyvern took her down here. This part of the Museum was directly below the main entrance and the gift shop. This area was restricted for VIP's and staff only. She made her way to the trash room and reached it after a minute. She entered the room and heard nothing but the hum of the lights. She opened the trash bin and threw the bag inside, wiping her hands in accomplishment.

"I hope I didn't wake up Hayato when I left." Ami thought, walking out of the trash room. Just as she was about to leave, however, a door opening had caused her to jump. She panicked and felt her heart racing. She didn't know where that sound came from but she definitely didn't want to be caught in the halls in her pajamas. She instantly retreated back inside the trash room, listening to the sound of footsteps walking down the hall. Hidden behind the trash bin, she peeked her head out to see who was walking by. She raised her eyes in surprise when she recognized who was walking by.

"Imiter?" Ami thought, keeping herself hidden. Imiter walked past the trash room without a second thought, walking further down the hall. She listened to his footsteps as they got quieter and quieter, letting her heart settle down. Once she was in the clear, she went on the move. Sneaking down the hall without making a sound. She poked her head down the halls where the path split two ways. She watched Imiter head down the left hallway, getting her curiosity. Keeping low to the ground, she glanced up at the wall and read the signs.

"He's heading towards the Staff rooms? But, why this late?" Ami questioned, narrowing her eyes in confusion. She watched him walk further down the halls with curiosity. Probably the worst thing to have at a time like this. He turned another corner and disappeared out of sight, causing Ami to frown. She looked down the hall to the right and could see the door to her guest room.

"I should probably head back." Ami thought, knowing she needed to try and get some sleep. However, her curiosity was hard to overcome. She turned her head where Imiter was and frowned in deep contemplation. A bad idea formed in her mind, causing her to groan and shake her head profusely.

"No, Ami. This is exactly what happened in the Sports Festival. You followed Bakugo and learned something about IcyHot you clearly weren't supposed to." Ami thought, fighting against her own curiosity. As she stood there, thinking about what to do, she heard the sound of a door opening up down the hall. She paused and listened to the sound of the door closing. Imiter must have gone inside a room, increasing her curiosity. She felt a pit of nervousness form in her stomach, causing her to gulp. She wanted to know where he went. She felt compelled to go against her own judgment.

"Damn it, Kacchan." Ami groaned, internally. Blaming Bakugo even though this was her own fault. She clenched her fists and summoned up the courage to move, slowly heading down the left hallway. She followed the path Imiter took and turned a corner, reaching another hall that split into two ways. She read the signs on the wall and quickly guessed where Imiter went.

Ami stared at the sign and gulped, walking down the hall on the right. Imiter went this way, she was sure of it. She felt her nervousness return, making her second guess her actions. Why was she doing this? It's not like she didn't trust Imiter or anything. She clenched her fists and sighed, rubbing her head in frustration. Even though she was doubting herself, her legs kept moving. Then she heard a voice through one of the doors in the hall. She quickly froze up, focusing on the sounds. She moved slowly towards the source and reached a door on the left wall. She leaned her head up against the door and listened inside, hearing voices talk amongst themselves. Letting curiosity and her inner demons win, she opened the door slightly and peeked inside. Her eyes went wide when she saw the room. Inside was a group of heroes gathered around a massive circular table in the middle of the room.

"What's going on?" Ami thought, looking at the heroes. She recognized some of them but not all of them. She went down the row and named them all in her head.

"Backdraft." Ami thought, recognizing the water hero.

"Wyvern." Ami thought, noticing the stoic hero sitting next to Backdraft. He was leaning in his chair, looking at the floor with arms crossed and eyes closed.

"Is everyone here?" Imiter asked, getting everyone's attention. They all turned and stared at him with solemn expressions.

"Oui?" Imiter asked.

"All members present." Backdraft answered, nodding at him.

"Good. We can begin." Imiter nodded, adjusting his tie. He looked down at his side of the table and stared at the papers in front of him. Ami looked at Imiter from across the room and kept hidden, making sure she wasn't seen.

"Are they having a meeting? This late at night?" Ami asked, keeping herself hidden. She hugged the wall and leaned her head towards the door, continuing to listen.

"Thank you all for coming tonight. I'm sorry for any inconveniences caused. But this is important." Imiter announced, receiving tired nods and groans from the heroes. He frowned at their response, agreeing with their behavior. Having a meeting this late and unannounced was unexpected. He stared back down at his papers and sighed. He pulled out a glass and raised it in the air, the other heroes did the same.

"Before we begin, I'd like to honor the loss of a hero on this board." Imiter said, receiving sad frowns in acknowledgement.

"Rocket. He was a good man. A good friend. And a good hero. And we'll miss him. To Rocket!" Imiter said, taking a drink from the glass.

"To Rocket!" The heroes chanted, taking drinks from their glasses. Ami heard the announcement and frowned, feeling sad.

She recognized that name. It was the hero Iida mentioned.

"Rocket. That's the hero that was killed by the Hero Killer…" Ami thought. She heard them place their glasses back on the table in unison, continuing to peek inside.

"Now then, I've called you all down here because there's been an update in the investigation on the police side." Imiter announced, causing the heroes to whisper amongst themselves.

"Finally." A hero groaned.

"Detective. Thank you for coming." Imiter said, causing Ami to pause.

"Detective?" She questioned, letting it repeat inside her head.

"Thank you for having me, Imiter." The Detective said, causing Ami's eyes to widen.

"Wait." She thought, tensing up.

"That voice? I've heard it before…" She thought, thinking back to where she heard it from.

"That's quite an introduction. Sorry to cut to the chase, but we could really use any information you might have." Tsukauchi said, echoing through Ami's head.

"That's it! It's the detective guy!" Ami thought, trying to look further in the room. She was unable to see the source of the voice but she knew who it was. She clenched her fists and returned to listening to the conversation. She started to get a bad feeling inside her.

"I'm sorry for starting this meeting so late. But I had to get this out as soon as possible." Tsukauchi said.

"What have you learned?" Imiter asked.

"Is it about the Hero Killer?" A hero asked.

"Any leads?" Another hero asked.

"Has he been found?" A third hero questioned. The heroes quickly caused a commotion in the room, trying to speak louder than each other.

"Everyone! Everyone!" Imiter said, speaking loudly over everyone else. His voice caused the other heroes to quiet down.

"Sorry, Detective." Imiter apologized.

"That's all right." Tsukauchi nodded. He faced the heroes and placed his hands on the table, frowning at them in disappointment.

"Unfortunately, we haven't found anything on the Hero Killer since Rocket and Ingenium's attack. I know everyone's still in shock about Rocket and Ingenium, but we have to focus on the purpose of this group."

"Purpose? This has everything to do with our purpose. You told us what Ingenium saw already. The Hero Killer is working with the League." A hero shouted.

"We haven't confirmed it yet." Tsukauchi stated.

"It's obvious! The Hero Killer murdered Rocket and crippled Ingenium. Then, not even a couple minutes later, the Nomu we've been looking for appears? That can't be a coincidence." The hero shouted.

"Wait? Nomu?" Ami questioned, reeling her head back in confusion.

"That's what that villain in the USJ called that monster. What's going on here?" Ami questioned, trying to wrap her head around what was said. She continued listening in on the conversation.

"We have to find the Hero Killer! We find him, we find the Nomu. We find the Nomu, we find the League!" The hero said, getting a couple nods in agreement. Tsukauchi continued to frown at the hero's words.

"I wish it were that easy, but every attempt to find him has gone dry. He's done this in every city he's been in. Our officers can't find him. We've sent requests for tracking quirks to help assist with the search but not even they've found anything. Wherever he is, he's well hidden." Tsukauchi stated, causing the hero to flare his nostrils and slam his fist on the desk.

"Damnit. How hard is it to find this guy?" The hero complained. He crossed his arms in anger and looked at Imiter, forming an idea.

"Imiter, you gotta find this guy!" The hero said, looking at the retired hero with anger.

"I'm retired, Native." Imiter said, looking at the hero with tired eyes. The hero sneered at him, flaring his nostrils in frustration.

"So, what? This is your city. You know it like the back of your hand. The Hero Killer's been here for weeks and no one's been able to stop him. Your quirk could easily put a stop to his rampage. We've lost too many heroes to this guy already! You have to do something!" Native shouted, standing up from his seat. Imiter looked at him and sighed, shaking his head in response.

"I'm sorry. You know I can't. I left that life behind when I started this Museum. As much as it pains me what the Hero Killer is doing to my city… I have other priorities to think about…My wife…our child. She could give birth any day now. I can't just throw myself into conflict like in the old days. I don't want her to worry. And I couldn't bear the thought of never seeing them again." Imiter said, causing Native to frown. He took in the retired hero's words and understood his reasoning, letting his anger decrease slightly.

"Besides…even if I were to come out of retirement. The Hero Killer might already have ways to combat my quirk. It's too risky." Imiter said, raising a point. Native shook his head and grunted, understanding Imiter but still holding onto his anger.

"I get it, man. You wanna be there for her, but you know I'm right. Plus, if the Hero Killer already knows about you, then why do you think he hasn't gone after you?" Native questioned, getting murmurs from the other heroes in the room.

"Because it'd be insane." A hero said.

"This museum is too secure, even for the Hero Killer." Another hero stated.

"Or, maybe, it's because he knows he can't touch you with your quirk." Native countered.

"Or he likes him." Wyvern interjected, throwing his opinion out there.

"..." The heroes heard the opinion and froze, turning to look at Wyvern questionably.

"The guy's a murderer, but he has a reason." Wyvern stated, causing the heroes to look at him with eyebrows raised.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Native questioned, feeling his body tense up. Wyvern narrowed his eyes at the hero and noticed the confused expressions on the other heroes' faces. He flared his nostrils and leaned forward, placing his hands on the table.

"The Hero Killer has killed 19 heroes and left 23 heroes alive but with permanent injuries. He's forced each one to retire." Wyvern said, getting interrupted by Native.

"Everyone knows that." Native said, cutting him off.

"Yeah, but why?" Wyvern questioned, receiving silence from the heroes. Seeing no objections, he continued his explanation.

"From the heroes left alive, I've read their official statements on what happened in each of their encounters. It didn't take long to notice a connection. The Hero Killer always mentions one person to them: All Might." Wyvern stated.

"So?" Native asked, causing Wyvern to narrow his eyes.

"I know a pattern when I see one. He's judging these heroes by their worthiness of being a hero. If he doesn't like what he sees, he strikes. All the heroes he let live are alive because of his warped sense of justice." Wyvern said, causing Native to glare at him. He clenched his fists in anger, pointing at him with rage.

"What are you saying?! That Rocket and all those heroes he killed weren't real heroes? That they deserved to die? Because they didn't live up to his idea of heroism?" Native questioned, causing a few of the heroes to gasp.

"That's not what he's saying." Backdraft said, standing up from his seat in Wyvern's defense. Wyvern glared back at Native with hidden anger, keeping his emotions repressed.

"Native, calm down!" Imiter ordered, controlling his anger.

"No." Wyvern said, with a serious voice.

"None of them deserved to die. I don't care how "unworthy" they were. Rocket didn't deserve to die and Ingenium didn't deserve to retire early. What he's doing isn't justice, it's murder. Plain and simple." Wyvern said, quieting the room. He took a deep breath and saw smoke escape from his extra fabric in his peripheral vision.

"Wyvern's right. Our men working on the Hero Killer case have also noticed the pattern. He kills based on worthiness. As awful as it sounds, it's likely the only reason Ingenium is still alive. He's no mindless murderer." Tsukauchi said, agreeing with Wyvern.

"On that note, the reason for this meeting is about the second Nomu. As you know, we've had the Nomu that attacked the USJ in custody for quite some time. But, until now, we haven't been able to confirm the identity behind the second Nomu that helped break out Kurogiri." Tsukauchi said, getting the hero's attention. Ami's eyes bulged out in shock, feeling goosebumps go down her body.

"What? There's a second Nomu? And, Kurogiri? That's the villain that brought those villains to the USJ in the first place." Ami thought, thinking back to the USJ. Memories of the villain attack flooded through her mind, deeply unsettling her.

"He escaped? Because of a second Nomu? How come I've never heard of this?" She questioned, feeling sweat drip down her forehead. She didn't understand what was going on. This meeting between Imiter and the heroes was clearly meant to be under wraps. She wasn't supposed to hear this. This was so much worse than what she overheard at the Sports Festival with Bakugo. Now she really did wish she went back to her room.

We've gotten the results for the Nomu that attacked the prison bus." Tsukauchi announced.

"So, you know their identity?" Imiter asked, relieved to hear some good news.

"Thanks to the recovered tail sample from the crash site. I believe so." Tsukauchi nodded, continuing with his speech.

Several Minutes Later

When the meeting ended, Wyvern was the first to open the doors. He wasn't feeling too happy at the moment. The meeting was tough and Native's outburst certainly didn't help him. And, at this time, he wanted nothing more than to get some sleep. He headed out the staff room and walked out, instantly kicking something on accident.

"Hmm? What the…" Wyvern said, coming to a stop. He looked down at the floor in confusion and noticed something. There was a lighter on the floor, causing him to tilt his head in confusion. He crouched down and quickly picked up the lighter, examining it in his hands.

"That's odd…" Wyvern thought, flicking the lighter on and off in confusion.

"Did Imiter drop this? No. He's not into smoking." Wyvern thought. He looked at the lighter in confusion and flipped it upside down, seeing words at the bottom in black marker. He stared at the writing and raised his eyes in shock, reading the name of the person it belonged to.

"Property of Ami Midoriya."

Author's Notes:

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the end of chapter 31! A chapter that completely threw me by surprise when writing it.

Sorry for taking a while, I was busy with College. Honestly, this chapter had a lot of things to go over. A lot of things! I hope by the time I've finished editing it all down that it's readable and not a total mess. This chapter took a shocking amount of words to write. It got out of hand really fast. I don't really know how I managed to write it without noticing the length. As of right now, this chapter has gone way past 30,000 words! Making this the second largest chapter beaten only by Ami's Final Fall.

If I had known how long this chapter would have become I would've included more content into the last chapter. But, hey, the work is complete.

Before getting into the chapter, I'd first like to give a little more background on why this chapter took so long. I had planned to finish this chapter right before the busy month of December. I originally thought I would have this finished by the 2 year anniversary. However, just after Thanksgiving, I decided to go Black Friday shopping. This turned out to be the worst decision ever made.

I got sick with a bad cold. Thankfully, not covid, but it was annoying. It completely ruined my plans as I couldnt work on the chapter because my mind was in a haze. When I finally got out of the cold, I was swamped by college work and finals were just around the corner. So, I was forced to get busy and work as fast as possible to finish my semester. Thankfully, it's over. Now I only have Christmas to worry about.

That's all the problems I had to deal with. Anyways, let's get down to discussing the chapter.

In this chapter, Ami is reunited with Backdraft and is given a tour of the Museum. She takes her on a tour of the Museum which took an incredibly long time to write. So, I really sucked at describing the Museum. It took a lot of rewrites, but I think I reached a point that it's easy to imagine. I hope. Anyways, this chapter begins Bakugo meeting Best Jeanist like in the original episode. Hearing what Best Jeanist plans to do with him makes him remember his conversation with Ami. Best Jeanist also notes Bakugo's behavior towards his match with Ami. These two things are pretty much the only changes to that interaction. I wanted to include more of the other students internships but I decided that the show did that for me anyway so there was no reason to do it here.

After that, we return to the Museum where Backdraft finally meets up with Ami. Ami is, of course, very excited and happy to reunite with Backdraft. Even going as far as surprising Backdraft with a soul crushing hug. Backdraft also questions Wyvern for taking Ami to the Training Room without permission. Wyvern then tells him the reason which surprises Backdraft, not expecting Ami to be able to eat Fuego.

After all that was said and done, Backdraft took Ami to the Food Area to get something to eat. It's there that we learn a little more about Wyvern. First, he's not very famous. Since he is my own creation that I was inserting into the universe, I figured I needed a justification for why he's here now and why he's not recognized.

With that in mind, I made him a hero that was very low in the rankings and that he was from Okinawa, which is an island close to Japan. It's during this conversation that Wyvern asks Ami a question about what happened near the end of the last chapter. As I had written and finalized Wyvern's quirk in my head way back in 2021, I realized that Ami's orange haired friend had a similar quirk. Well, not similar but you get it. There's a shot in the anime where she waves her hand around and you'd notice that her hand is literally gone and replaced with fire. This seemed to imply that she was definitely capable of turning more of herself into flames so I explored that here. Ami's flashback to her still unnamed childhood friend is meant to call back to Season 1 Chapter 3 where they share their last goodbyes to each other. In that chapter, Ami brings up how they met which inspired the flashback in this chapter. After that, Wyvern reveals his second attempt to learn more about Ami which was formed by Fuego. He learns that Ami is immune to spicy foods which is another callback to season 1. After Hayato returns, Ami gets a hint about what Hayato's quirk is involving his gloves. This was done to set up what happens at the end of the chapter.

Skipping ahead, we have Backdraft talking with Ami as they head to the History Area. This was a conversation that went through tons of rewrites. Most of them were nonsensical and did nothing for the story. What you see now is basically the best I came up with that mattered. One of the important parts is Backdraft casually mentioning Ami's fight with Bakugo. Something that causes Ami to blush and feel confused about. She's still not at that point where she realizes what those feelings are but she's getting there. This embarrassment causes Backdraft to learn about Wyvern's attempt to poison her. He apologizes on Wyvern's behalf, surprising Ami. This was done to imply that Wyvern has done this before, though, looking back I don't think I explained that very well. Wyvern basically likes to do his own thing which leaves Backdraft having to deal with the mess.

Skipping ahead again, we have the Museum's defense system. As explained by Wyvern, when the Museum is under attack, the systems kick in and put the whole Museum under lockdown. It basically turns into a fortress. It's here we learn that in emergencies, the observation tower will light up red like a lighthouse. It's meant to warn local heroes of an attack taking place inside the Museum. This defense system will be very important later.

Next there's the Science Area, where Ami sees the giant machine they have parked in a hangar. This is a modified Zeropointer named Becca AKA Rebecca. I will neither confirm or deny the role she plays later on in the arc. Just know that she will return. You're probably wondering what Wyvern meant by shipping technology to a location "off-site." To answer that question, I will give you a hint. It had a theatrical release. You'll understand later so stay tuned.

Next we meet the retired hero who owns this Museum. Imiter is a retired French Hero of my own creation. He's a nice man with an amazing quirk. A quirk that seems like it would be very useful. Just like Wyvern, I knew what Imiter's quirk would be ages ago. It sounds OP, but it's more of a hassle than you'd think.

Imiter's quirk gives him complete control over a person that hears his whistle. With it, he can make a person do whatever he wants. The downside is he has to do the movements with them. So he'd have to slap himself pretty hard in the face if he wants to knock a villain out. Even then, he might fall unconscious depending on how hard he punches himself. That's why his quirk isn't actually that OP. Its main use is to keep a villain restrained while other heroes take care of them. Its other feature is his ability to somewhat control his victims' quirk. That isn't all that great, either. Like in the demonstration from Backdraft, all he did was return the water back to Backdraft's body. He can't technically use another person's quirk in his control. What he can do is turn it off or just barely force the user to undo his own actions.

So no suffocating a villain by holding his breath. He'd probably suffocate with them. His quirk is basically the powers of a mime.

Imiter's demonstration on Backdraft served the purpose of introducing Ami to Imiter's quirk. His casual mention of Shinso was also done to help make the comparison between their quirks as well as show the differences in how they use and activate them. Ami's a little uncomfortable by quirks that deal with the mind, thanks to having been under Shinso's quirk herself.

This meeting with Imiter also introduced Imiter's pregnant wife, Misaki. Her role in the next chapters will be very small. Her quirk is also cool but not very important in the arc as a whole. I don't mind explaining it here since I can't think of an excuse for when she'll use it.

Basically Misaki's quirk tricks your brain into seeing something that's not there. For example, a banana will look like a gun. The banana is still a banana but Misaki can trick your brain into believing it is a gun. The things she can replace are limited by size. Giant things she'd have to replace with giant things. Small things with small things.

Ami meets them both and learns about them. She even gets a happy moment with Misaki and her pregnant belly. This was done to give Ami something to be happy about. To anyone who's seen or been near a pregnant woman, it's a weird feeling knowing a baby is in there. Personally, I've had several interactions with pregnant women. One was my elementary school teacher, the next was my P.E. teacher in High School, and lastly my sister. It was definitely an unforgettable experience touching a pregnant woman's belly. Anyway, Misaki's pregnancy will play a role in later chapters. Don't worry, I don't mean it like that. Just that it will lead to future decisions.

Before I move on to Hayato's quirk, if you're confused about why the Stain meeting up with the League was right there of all places. That's because I literally had no idea where to put it. Even though I've changed literally nothing it still served a purpose being there as it sets up Shigaraki's attack on Hosu later on. I couldn't exactly skip it because of that and I couldn't just shove it into the next chapter so I forced it in here. Sorry if it comes off as weird and out of place. With that said, Onto the second to last big reveal.

The other quirk that gets revealed in this chapter is Hayato's. I think I did a good job describing what it does in the chapter. Basically, Hayato is supposed to have a more advanced version of Kaminari's quirk. His hands release electricity that forces any electronics he touches to turn on. Against living organisms, however, he has the ability to choose which part of their body gets shocked. He's also supposed to be able to turn it off and control the voltage. Unfortunately, he can't do that anymore.

Hayato has a quirk problem. Basically it's not working properly. Instead, his quirk is always active and he can't turn it off. He also can't control the voltage so touching someone leads to them getting shocked at high power which would hurt a lot. The most important problem is what part of the body his quirk targets. The way I see it, and how I think the show sees it, quirks are just part of the body. And because quirks are genetic and can be passed down and everything, then it stands to reason that quirks could also be subjected to genetic diseases and such. It's just never been explored as far as I know. As for targeting the quirk in the body, we've already seen quirks that target other quirks. That being Aizawa's quirk, All For One, and One For All. Eri, too, possibly?

Basically Hayato's quirk works like the opposite of Aizawa's with the added bonus of inflicting pain. He forces quirks to activate while giving people devastating amounts of pain as the electricity shocks their body.

His doctors don't know the problem for why his quirk has changed so suddenly but they're doing their best to find out the cause. Hayato's quirk and the way it functions will play an important part in this story arc.

The last big reveal of this chapter is Ami overhearing the meeting between heroes. Since Ami can't really see everyone inside, I tried to write a little more vaguely than I should have. I might just re edit this chapter after it's posted just for additional detail. I would do it now, but I'm honestly drained from tidying it up all night. Anyway, Ami hears a meeting she's not supposed to and learns about Kurogiri's escape as well as a Second Nomu. That Nomu is, of course, Ravage. Ravage will be playing a big role in this arc. I hope the amount of info I crammed into this chapter will provide a hint as to what Ravage will be doing in this arc. I've pretty much laid all of the groundwork now. Next chapter will be very important.

One thing I should mention is at several points of this chapter the way I've written things may have come off as rushed. If you see them, then you'll know. I apologize for that. It's gotten hard lately to transition to the next scene lately. I've done my best in editing to make it look good but some parts still feel a little odd. If you see any editing mistakes I've made then please let me know.

Now, at this point, I'd normally answer questions but surprisingly I received only one since Chapter 30 over DMs. That question was what inspired me to make Fuego?

Fuego was inspired by Venom and Dark Shadow. Mainly, I wanted to make a character that was secretly two characters the whole time. There were many hints strewn about that showed there was more than meets the eye with Wyvern. I didn't get a lot of feedback on Fuego. Actually, I didn't get any feedback on Wyvern and Fuego. I honestly was hoping I would but, hey, I worked with it.

Instead of answering questions I'll just thank you for talking to me. Thank you Archive reader who told me to write more! I will definitely be writing more! Thank you to everyone who gave me encouragement after I shared my problems.

A little side note I'll add here, recently I learned what a Vtuber is. Someone, who I will not name, in my DMs said they picture Ami as looking like and sounding like this Japanese vtuber in their head. Her name is Houshou Marine. Thank you, Reader, for the comparison. I looked her up on Youtube and was very surprised by what I found. Thank you for showing me what a vtuber is. Judging by the views these vtubers get I've apparently been living under a rock since 2019. Sorry if this comes off as negative, I'm okay with this.

I can't remember if I said this before, but when it comes to Ami's voice. I imagine her sounding like Winry from Fullmetal Alchemist, which is funny because that's actually the same English VA for Mina Ashido. As for looks, I'd say if she were to be animated in the show's artstyle then her body really would resemble Mina's. I mean, of course, she wouldn't be pink and she'd have green hair with Nana Shimura's hairstyle. Compared to Houshou Marine I guess there's some similarities. I think. Ami's hero costume is mostly red with a blue skin-tight bodysuit. Marine also has a red costume with a skin-tight bodysuit as well. Though, unlike Marine, Ami's costume is more Firefighter inspired instead of a Pirate. And Ami is also 5'6 where Marine is apparently 4' 11. Other than the height difference, I'm fine with anyone picturing Ami as a vtuber if they so desire. Thanks anyways for the DM and introducing me to vtubers.

Other than that conversation and receiving other readers encouragement, that's about all I've gotten back.

Next chapter will address the ending of this one. But it won't start where this chapter ended so heads up. The preview will start after this message. So, sadly, here goes another year of me not finishing season 2. This is a little embarrassing I'll admit. I wish I had the strength I had writing season 1. Looking back, I can't believe I managed to complete the first season in 2 months. Hopefully for 2023, I can return to that miracle speed and finally finish season 2. I mean, I hope to God I can finish season 3 next year. The My Hero Manga is finishing soon, isn't it? I gotta pick up the pace or else the author will end the story before I'm done with this season. Anyways, hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. Today is December 21st, which is the start of Winter here in America. Christmas is coming soon. I hope everyone had a great year. Here's hoping for an even better 2023!

Once again, this chapter might feel kinda rushed but that's because I was busy and had to work on these on separate days split between weeks. So, if you spot any continuity errors, grammar mistakes, spelling, etc. Please point it out to me in the reviews. And honestly, the length of this chapter got unintentionally way out of hand. Next chapter will be shorter hopefully, but no promises. But also, please please please send me reviews. My DMs aren't as lively as they used to be after the relationship vote ended. Anyways, thanks for reading and have a good day! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Next Chapter: Ami continues her internship with Backdraft. Heading onto day 2, Ami is confronted about last night where she learns more about the reason Backdraft and Wyvern are at the Museum.

Ps: I don't know what name to give Imiter since he's French and not Japanese. Same goes to Nashorn since he's also German. Wyvern has a real name which I will likely reveal in the next chapter. I'd also like to pat myself in the back for managing to reach 500,000 words for this series. Probably the most time I will ever spend writing.
