Quirk Museum - Outdoors

Backdraft and Wyvern exited the Museum through the glass doors. Several dozen groups of civilians rushed past the two heroes as they ran back inside the Museum. Backdraft stepped aside and made sure everyone safely entered the Museum while Wyvern advanced further ahead.

"Stay inside and head to the Safe Zones!" Backdraft directed, pointing his wrist at the doors.

"Don't trample over anyone!" He ordered, calmly assisting civilians. Wyvern stood on the road and stared down the hill, getting a better view of the city. He could see fire and smoke coming from several buildings throughout the city, making him narrow his eyes. He scoffed and clenched his fists, containing his anger with stoicism. A familiar growl echoed through his head, venting in his stead.

"Get ready, Fuego." Wyvern thought, hearing nostrils flaring within his mind.

"Those freaks are gonna regret messing with the city." Fuego snarled, letting out a deep guttural laugh. Backdraft approached Wyvern and stood next to him, looking out at the city in shock. He narrowed his eye and scanned the locations of the damaged buildings, recognizing their streets.

"I recognize those areas from the drive earlier." Backdraft pointed out, receiving a nod from Wyvern. Backdraft knew where and how to get to those streets. That was all Wyvern needed to know.

"They're not far." Wyvern replied, running down the hill, "Where'd you park?" He asked, raising his voice. Backdraft ran down the hill beside Wyvern and raised his wrist, pointing at the entry gate.

"Down here." Backdraft answered, reaching the gate. They stepped through a smaller gate on the side while the larger gate for vehicles remained closed.

"Are you still in touch with Birdkeeper?" Backdraft asked, watching Wyvern shaking his head In disappointment.

"Not since he took on one of the Nomu." Wyvern replied, making Backdraft frown. Thoughts of the prison bus incident ran through his head, remembering the list of casualties left in the aftermath. No hero could fight any of these Nomu alone.

"He needs backup." Backdraft affirmed, tensing up his muscles.

"Agreed." Wyvern said, nodding his head in agreement.

"You remember what the Detective said, Fuego?" Wyvern inquired, hearing nostrils flare in his head.

"Hahaha. How could I forget?" Fuego replied, recalling Tsukauchi's words.

Quirk Museum - Staff Meeting Room

"Detective, what happens if we find the Nomu in Hosu? Without Stain? Or, anyone else?" Native asked, raising his hand up to get the detective's attention. Tsukauchi looked at Native and nodded, responding to the question with a serious voice.

"If you ever find yourself alone with the Nomu, then I suggest calling backup immediately." Tsukauchi replied, "If it's anything like the USJ Nomu then it's too dangerous to fight alone." He added.

"Alright." Native nodded, accepting the answer.

"So, backup arrives. What after?" Wyvern asked, crossing his arms. Tsukauchi listened to the question and leaned forward in his seat, clasping his hands together in silence.

"If the Nomu that attacked the USJ is anything to go by, then holding back in order to knock it into unconsciousness might be too dangerous. If it poses a threat to civilian lives, then you have full permission to terminate." Tsukauchi ordered, getting serious looks from the heroes.

"I know what all of you are thinking, but I believe that putting it down is the safest choice." Tsukauchi said. The heroes looked at each other and nodded in agreement, understanding his order. Wyvern returned to the present as the two heroes entered the firetruck.

Backdraft entered the driver's seat and turned on the engine, blaring its alarms. Wyvern jumped inside and sat on the passenger seat, looking out the window with a stoic expression.

Backdraft stared at the street ahead and took a deep breath, feeling his whole body get goosebumps. He glanced back up at the hill and stared at the entry gate to the Museum, feeling his stomach churn. For some odd reason, he felt an intense wave of hesitation go through him. It chilled him to the core, making his anxiety rise. Something wasn't right about all of this. Like he was making a mistake of some kind.

He gripped the wheel with his watery hands and earned Wyvern's attention, unaware of his hesitation.

"What's taking so long, we gotta go!" Wyvern questioned, raising his voice. He looked at Backdraft and noticed his mood had soured, making him raise his eyebrow.

"Should I have left her?" Backdraft questioned, doubting himself. Wyvern reared his head back at the question, instantly realizing who he was referring to. He scoffed at his mood, feeling Fuego's impatient growls echoing through his head. He was itching for a fight and so was Wyvern.

"Tch. This Museum is the safest place in the city. Don't forget what we're dealing with out here." Wyvern said, narrowing his eyes at the sky.

"I know." Backdraft sighed, "It's just a feeling." He admitted, not liking this at all. Wyvern kept one eye on Backdraft and crossed his arms.

"She's not alone up there. Even if a villain does come here, it won't last long against the defense system." Wyvern said, reminding Backdraft of the system. He took another deep breath and relented, stepping on the gas.

"You're right." Backdraft said, narrowing his eye. Wyvern nodded and relaxed into his seat, dropping his goggles onto his face.

"Did Birdkeeper give you a location?" Backdraft asked, driving down the streets at fast speeds.

"No, but I think I can guess where the fight is." Wyvern said, looking out the front window. In the distance, an orange glow lit up the smoke in the air. The two heroes sped down several blocks in a hurry, making their way towards the destruction. Unbeknownst to them, they didn't notice the lights go off several blocks behind them.

Quirk Museum - Food Area - Present

Ravage retreated at a quick pace, breaking through a set of glass doors. Flames seared into her body, causing her to growl in extreme discomfort. She entered an open area full of tables and chairs everywhere. Some of the tables still had plates of food on them. She gave the abandoned food no thought as she focused on healing herself. She charged through the center of the dining area, casually knocking over chairs and tables as she reached the opposite end of the room. Once she reached a dark corner of the room, she immediately rolled around on the floor, extinguishing the flames off her body.

"Mrowr…" She groaned, flailing around and scratching at the floor with her sharp claws. She beared through the pain of her third degree burns, feeling relief as the flames fell off her body.

"Grrrrrr." She hissed, panting heavily with her mouth wide open. She laid still for a few seconds to catch her breath. Slowly, she stood up on all fours. Her skin was sizzling from the heat.

Clack. Clack. Clack.

She pointed the tip of her tailblade on the floor, writhing in pain. She clenched her front claws and dug them deep into the floor, cracking the tiles effortlessly. She remembered the events from earlier and hissed in frustration. Her target was right there!

"Mrrr!" She growled, shaking her head in anger. She was this close to abducting her target, but then… She turned her head around and was immediately lit on fire. The entire upper half of her body was consumed in flames, causing her to let go of the piece of the rocketship wall and flail her arms around in a panic. The intensity of the flames was unlike anything she had ever experienced, quickly knocking her temporarily unconscious. In her unconscious state, the flames left her body, forcing her quirk to act fast. Just like right now.

She opened her eyes and glared at her skin, watching the burns slowly dissipate. Her quirk activated, regenerating the damage to her body. She deactivated everything else except for her other quirk and let her body heal faster. The skin on her body healed up, returning to its normal form. The charred bits of dead skin detached from her body and turned into flakes, like snake skin. She shook her body and flicked the charred skin off onto the floor. She closed her mouth and returned to breathing at a steadier pace, sinking her claws further into the floor.

"Mrowr." She groaned, shaking her head profusely. Her brain fully healed as well as the rest of her face, the pain disappeared as she composed herself. The events from earlier continued to play out in her mind. Her focus shifted away from her target and moved on to his protector, a green haired teenage girl.

That girl… She narrowed her eyes and flailed her tail around, slamming it onto a nearby fallen table. The tailblade sliced right through the table and cut it in half, piercing the floor beneath it.

She didn't see her. Why didn't she see her? She remembered entering the building and growled. The dark lobby was quiet and empty. She approached a metal door and sniffed it, catching a whiff of dozens upon dozens of people inside. She could tell it was full of people. She clawed at it but gave up after a few seconds. She could tell her target wasn't inside.

Did the greenette come from behind that door? She snarled and shook her head in response. No. She was outside. But where was she? She focused and remembered the smells in the lobby. She smelled people behind the door, but she also smelled something else. Smoke. She cringed at the smell. She hated fire. She remembered catching a whiff of smoke from a corner of the lobby behind the kiosk and growled. There she was. She was inside the lobby with her. The girl smelled like smoke.

Clack. Clack. Clack.

She tapped her tailblade on the floor in annoyance. She could smell her smoky scent and ignored it. The greenette did a good job at keeping quiet. If she had heard breathing, she would've definitely heard her. She looked around the dark empty cafeteria and snarled, flaring her nostrils in frustration.

Who was she? She remembered her face before she was forced to retreat into the Food Area. Her green hair and face looked familiar. Glimpses of the bar entered her mind, remembering the burn wound on the young one's hand. She remembered some of the words that exited his mouth and focused.

"That damn brat and his stupid sister." Shigaraki groaned, staring at a photo in his hand. He made sure his pinky wasn't touching the photo as he stared at it with death in his eyes. Ravage heard Shigaraki's complaints and raised her ear towards his direction, listening to his rant. She listened to his anger and his choice of words directed towards the photo, getting her curiosity.

"This pain is all your fault." Shigaraki growled. Ravage leaned her head to the side and raised it upward, staring at Shigaraki. She looked at what he was holding on his burnt hand and narrowed her eyes, getting a clear view of the photo with her superior eyesight.

In the photo was a green haired girl dressed in blue. The outfit was different, but her face was exactly the same. It was her. The girl Shigaraki hated so much. She looked at his recovering burnt hand and flared her nostrils. She returned to the present and flared her nostrils.

It was her power Shigaraki hated so much. The injury on his hand was her fault. She hurt Shigaraki! Ravage tensed her body and flexed the muscles on her limbs, feeling her strength return. His words echoed through her mind again.

"Be stealthy or go wild. It doesn't matter how you do it. Just have fun." Shigaraki said, making her smile.

"Have fun. Have fun. Have fun." Shigaraki said, repeating inside her head. She smiled creepily, letting drool drip out of her mouth. Have fun, he said. Yes. She would have fun. She remembered the girl's face and placed her paw on a chair. She looked at the chair and squeezed, breaking the chair into pieces with her strong grip. She hated her. She hurt her master. She hurt her. But, most of all, she hated fire.

"Grrrrr!" She hissed, throwing the broken chair towards a wall. She turned around and flared her nostrils, narrowing her eyes with a creepy smile. Her wounds were fully healed. She was ready to return to the hunt. She will abduct her target, but in the meantime, there was room for revenge.

M.C.C. (Museum Command Center)

Glow sticks were scattered across the floor, lighting up the room with a faint fluorescent green glow. It was the only light source inside the dark bunker that worked. The staff scrambled around the dark room, breaking into the computers and checking their wires. Nothing was working.

Imiter stood in the center of the dark room with worry. Ever since the bunker went dark, he stood completely still. Nothing made him budge as he stared at the giant screens on the wall with worry. His hands were tightly squeezing the rails out of nervousness. Her voice echoed through his head, making his stomach churn. Her last words sounded frightening to his ears. She was scared.

"No, Ami, wai-" Misaki yelled, before getting cut off by the sound of a door slamming. That was when the lights and power turned off inside the bunker. Imiter analyzed the tone in her voice and feared its implications.

"What happened? Is Ami okay? Is Misaki safe?" Imiter thought.

He memorized their conversation, hearing it replay in his head over and over. His biggest regret was the last thing he said to her was a command to close the Safe Zone door. That didn't go over well in his head. The suddenness of everything and the heat of the moment terrified him. The door slammed shut, he was sure of it. He heard them slam before losing communication. But, what about Ami?

"Did she not make it in time?" Imiter thought, making a wild guess, "Is she not in the Safe Zone with her?" He thought, feeling his mind racing with thoughts. As he stood there frozen in shock, the manager appeared by his side with a clipboard.

"Sir?" The manager asked, getting Imiter's attention. Imiter snapped out of his thoughts and looked around, noticing his manager was standing beside him.

"Status report." Imiter asked, loosening his grip on the rails slightly. His mind was racing so much that he needed to distract himself, albeit temporarily.

"We can't communicate with the Museum. We're trying to turn everything back on but it's just not working." The manager explained. Imiter shook his head in response and cleared his throat, lowering his head down to the floor.

"How about the backup generators?" Imiter asked, receiving a frown from the manager.

"The backup generators aren't turning on, either. We're powerless." The manager reported, making Imiter frown.

"Did any of the countermeasures activate in time?" Imiter asked, wiping sweat off his forehead.

"They did, Sir. Before the blackout, we observed several of our security droids activating inside the Science Area." The manager reported, letting his voice quiet down with hesitation. Imiter noticed his voice and looked at him with a straight face.

"But?" Imiter questioned, making the Manager clear his throat.

"I'm sorry, Sir. We lost contact with all of them when everything turned off. All of our countermeasures turned off when the blackout hit. In all likelihood, the Museum is completely defenseless." He said. Imiter clenched his fists and sighed, returning to squeezing the rail. His thoughts focused on the Nomu with a look of defeat, remembering the identity of the Nomu: Gin Nakamura.

"Il nous a battu." Imiter admitted out loud. His eyes flashed with the memory of each meeting. He remembered reading the DNA results of the Nomu's tailblade after the meeting ended. He identified each quirk from the tailblade sample and grimaced.

"How is this possible? He only jammed communications when he attacked the Prison Bus." Imiter thought, thinking of the name of the quirk in Nomu's possession.

"We underestimated: Shut-Off." Imiter scoffed, "It was only capable of turning off the electronics in a single room, not a 3 block radius…" he whispered. He scrunched up his nose and let go of the railing, clenching his fist till his knuckles cracked.

"They've modified the quirk. Made it stronger, somehow. That's the only explanation." He realized, leaning upwards. He stood up straight and narrowed his eyes at the offline screens. The League of Villains turned Gin into a monster.

"What do we do, Sir?" The manager asked. Imiter took a deep breath and shook his head, tensing his body.

"Everyone. Stay here. Try to get the power back online from down here." Imiter ordered, receiving a nod from staff in confirmation. His manager nodded at his command but stayed still, raising an eye at the retired hero. Imiter turned around and headed towards the elevator door without any delay, confusing the manager.

"What about you, Sir?" The manager asked, wondering what he was doing.

"I'm going up there." Imiter said, causing the manager to look at him with bewilderment. He lowered his clipboard and brought it to his side, walking over towards Imiter with a frown.

"But, how? The elevator isn't working, either." The manager questioned, receiving a light scoff. Imiter knew that wouldn't stop him and shook his head.

"I'm not using the elevator." Imiter stated, standing in front of the door. He raised his arms up and touched the door, placing his hands on the door hinges. He gritted his teeth and flexed his muscles, opening the door hinges with his strength.

"I'm going up there the old fashioned way. Climbing." Imiter said, composing himself. He looked inside the dark elevator and stared up at the hatch on the ceiling. He stepped inside the elevator and placed his hands on the hatch, prying it open. He stared up at the hatch and swallowed his saliva, looking back at his manager by the door.

"Assistance, Monsieur?" Imiter asked, receiving a nod from the manager. He dropped the clipboard onto the floor and stepped inside the elevator. He got on his knees and placed his hands up in front of his face. Imiter placed his boot on the Manager's hands and felt his body get lifted upward. He grabbed onto the hatch and carefully crawled through, laying on top of the elevator with sweat dripping down his face.

"Merci." Imiter said, peeking his head down the hatch. His manager looked up at him through the hatch and saluted.

"Good luck, Sir." He said, nodding at the retired hero. Imiter looked down at him with an appreciative grin and nodded.

"Hmph." Imiter smirked, closing the elevator hatch. He looked up the large dark elevator shaft and gulped, feeling his stomach churn. He took a deep breath and spotted the service ladder. He shook his head and mentally prepared himself, finding his resolve. He grabbed hold of the ladder and started climbing with a serious expression, remembering Tsukauchi's words very clearly.

"If you ever find yourself alone with the Nomu, then I suggest calling backup immediately." Tsukauchi replied, making Imiter grunt.

"Ami, if you're up there… I'm coming to get you." Imiter whispered, climbing up the ladder very carefully. It was going to be a long climb up, but he was determined. The Museum was defenseless against the Nomu. If Ami didn't make it to the Safe Zone in time then she was in danger. No matter what, he needed to defend his museum.

Water Area

"Hayato! Hayato!" Ami shouted, pushing the doors open. She entered the Water Area and looked around for the small child, feeling her heart racing. The lights inside the Water Area had also turned off, leaving the massive room shrouded in darkness. She panted heavily and looked around, letting her eyes adjust. Thankfully, her eyes adjusted fast thanks to the reflection of the pools. The water's glow reflected on the ceiling, making it the room's only source of light. She scanned the water slides and stared at the small structure, stomach churning with panic.

"Ami." Hayato whispered, appearing from behind the slide. Ami raised her eyes and smiled, sighing in relief. She made eye contact and noticed he was shaking profusely, making her run up to him with arms out. Hayato sniffled and stepped away from the slide, running up to her with a scared face.

"Hayato." Ami smiled, sniffling a bit. She rushed to his side and fell to her knees, sliding across the floor by an inch. She scooped Hayato into her arms and squeezed him. Ami closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Hayato, feeling her hands touch his cape. Hayato smiled and leaned his head on her shoulder, feeling safer in her arms. Tears fell from his eyes and trickled onto her shoulder. The warmth from her body almost made him forget about the situation, but his eyes stayed open. He stared at the doors to the Play Area with fear, continuing to tremble in Ami's arms.

"Where's the monster?" Hayato asked, pulling away from Ami. Ami let go of him and watched as he wiped his tears with his wrist. She stopped smiling and gulped, composing herself. She brought her hand down to her hip and held onto the holster containing her axe. She placed her other hand on the floor and quickly answered his question.

"It's gone. For now. I think it's in the Food Area right now." Ami answered, unsure of its whereabouts. Hayato looked at Ami and sniffled, still trembling heavily.

"Where's Backdraft?" He asked, getting an unsure look from Ami.

"He left with Wyvern to go help in the city." Ami answered, quickly explaining the situation.

"Can't you call them?" Hayato asked, making Ami frown. She shook her head in response, causing Hayato to frown with her.

"I tried. But my phone isn't working. Just like everything in this whole building." She admitted, looking up at the turned off lights. Hayato looked up at the lights and grew confused, wondering what happened to the power.

"Everything turned off. Why did everything turn off?" Hayato questioned, hoping Ami had the answer.

"I don't know… It must be because of the Nomu." Ami said, confusing Hayato.

"Nomu?" He repeated, questioning the meaning behind that word.

"Hm? Oh, right… that's just what we call the monsters." Ami replied, realizing what she said out loud.

"You've seen one before?" He questioned, forcing Ami to pause in hesitation. The memory of the USJ Nomu slamming Mr. Aizawa's face into the ground entered her mind, causing her to wince slightly. She shook her head and brushed that thought aside, focusing back on Hayato.

"...Yeah, but that's not important right now. We have to get out of here." She said, changing the subject. Hayato shook his head and looked at Ami with fear.

"But, Ami, if everything is turned off then does that mean the tower's emergency lights are off?" He asked. Ami thought about the tour and remembered what Backdraft told her about the Museum's defense system.

"In case a villain ever attacks the Museum, the workers light the tower up so that every hero in the city knows that there's danger." Backdraft explained, making Ami gulp.

"Oh, right…" She thought, realizing that they were completely alone without any chance of backup.

"If the lights are off, too, then that means, the turrets never got the chance to turn on, either!" Ami thought, remembering the miniature demonstration of the Museum's defense turrets.

"That would explain how it got through the door without getting shot." Ami thought, remembering the Nomu bursting through the front doors without any trouble.

"I can't believe the Nomu disabled the defense system." She thought, nodding at Hayato in confirmation.

"That's its quirk, right? It's gotta be one of them. That, regeneration, limb growth, and invisibility…" She thought, reminding herself of Hagakure's quirk.

"And that tailblade!" She frowned, reminding herself of the Nomu's bizarre tail.

"That's five different quirks right off the bat!" Ami realized, feeling her heart beat faster with fear. That was an insane amount. Definitely a lot more than the USJ Nomu. She snapped out of her thoughts and remembered Hayato, making eye contact with his scared face.

"Yeah, it does." She answered, keeping her thoughts to herself.

"We have to turn it back on!" Hayato panicked, "How is anyone gonna know the monster's here?" He asked, making Ami get serious. She narrowed her eyes and kept a straight face, thinking of a plan on the spot.

"If that thing can shut off the power with its quirk then it must have a range, otherwise, the whole city's lights would be out." Ami realized, nodding her head in agreement.

"They'll know. Don't worry. When we get far enough away, hopefully my phone will work again. Then we can call the heroes and warn them." Ami nodded, looking back at the entrance she came from. Hayato listened to her plan and raised his eyes at the mention of her phone, giving him an idea of his own.

"Wait. I can turn your phone on!" Hayato said, causing Ami to look at him incredulously.

"You can?" Ami questioned, raising her eyebrow at him with uncertainty. Hayato simply nodded in response, making Ami recall the basics of his quirk.

"My hands release electricity that acts like a trigger. I can forcefully turn on any electronics." Hayato explained. Ami returned to the present and smiled at Hayato, realizing exactly what he was thinking.

"That's right. Your quirk!" Ami exclaimed, receiving a nod from Hayato.

"Spark Plug, you're a genius." Ami praised, making Hayato smile, "What do I need to do?" She asked.

"Just put it on the ground." Hayato instructed, sitting down on the floor. Ami pulled her phone out of her pocket and placed it on the floor in front of Hayato. He looked at the phone and gulped, removing the glove off his left hand. Ami watched in awe as sparks immediately flew off Hayato's fingertips the second the glove was removed. She remembered what he told her about his quirk and frowned.

"He really can't turn it off." She thought, looking at him with sympathy.

He dropped his sparkling hand and touched the phone, sending an electric shock through the device. The sparks made contact with the device, causing it to vibrate and flicker. Ami watched the screen turn on in amazement and smiled, wanting to hug Hayato again for his success.

"Yes! It's on!" Ami exclaimed, feeling a glimmer of hope.

"Spark Plug, that was amazing. Your quirk is amazing!" Ami praised, making Hayato blush. He put his glove back on his left hand and looked at Ami with curiosity. Ami looked at his hand in awe. She couldn't believe what she saw. His quirk somehow bypassed the blackouts, ignoring whatever the Nomu's quirk did to all the power.

"You can call them now, right?" He asked, hoping that it would work.

"I think so." Ami said, opening her contacts. She went to Backdraft and pressed the call button. However, her hopes were dashed by the notification alert.

No Signal

"Of course." Ami scoffed, rolling her eyes in frustration. Hayato noticed her negative reaction and winced, frowning at her mood.

"You still can't call them?" Hayato asked, feeling his stomach churn. Ami looked up at him with a frown.

"I'm sorry, Hayato." She apologized, shaking her head in sadness. The young boy looked at her with tears forming in his eyes again, making Ami worry. She put her phone away and returned to a serious expression, returning to her previous thoughts about the Nomu.

"It smashed through the front entrance without a care in the world. Nothing stopped it from breaking through, which means nothing should stop us from breaking out!" Ami thought.

"We have to get to the lobby. That thing smashed through the doors when it came here. It's completely exposed." Ami suggested, placing her fist upon her open hand. Hayato nodded in understanding, sniffling a bit. His biggest fear entered his mind as he imagined running out the doors with Ami. The monster ran after them in pursuit, making him tremble again.

"How are we going to get there?" He asked, quickly wishing he didn't ask.

"We'll have to make a run for it." Ami answered, seeing no other alternative. Hayato flinched at the very idea, visibly frowning.

"But…I'm scared. What if it chases us? What if it tries to grab me again?" Hayato choked, feeling his voice crack from all his trembling. Ami hugged Hayato and comforted him, making him feel safer.

"I won't let that monster lay a finger on you, okay? I promise. I know how dangerous this is, but it's our only shot at escaping." Ami said, assuring him that it was all they could do. Hayato pulled away and wiped the tears off his face with his wrist.

"O-Okay." He whimpered, blowing his nose.

"Trust me, Spark Plug. I'll keep you safe." Ami smiled, nodding her head at Hayato with a look of determination. He felt his mood improve by looking at her and smiled back. However, the doors to the Play Area broke open, shattering to pieces. Ami and Hayato flinched at the same time, turning their heads toward the Play Area entrance with wide eyes.

"A-A-Ami…" Hayato stuttered. His eyes shrunk to the size of pinpricks as he stared at the monster's glowing purple eyes. Ami heard the glass shatter and immediately turned around, pulling Hayato behind her. She narrowed her eyes and made eye contact with its glowing purple eyes, hearing it hiss and snarl at her.

She stared at the purple eyes and controlled her breathing, staring at nothing. The creature was completely invisible except for its glowing eyes. The monster narrowed its eyes whenever it looked at her, unnerving her slightly. Its intimidating presence worked on her as she observed the invisible beast's movements. It was angry. Angry at her. That was strange. The USJ Nomu didn't act like this. It just followed its orders without once changing its facial expression. This Nomu was different. It remembered her and was holding a grudge.

"Grrrr!" She hissed, stepping forward. Her eyes adjusted to the glow of the pool, letting her see clearly through the massive room. She heard a tiny splash from the floor as her front paw made contact with the ground, causing her to pause.

"Mrrp?" She meowed, questionably. She lowered her face and stared at her paw, noticing it was wet. Uh oh. The skin around her paw started to decloak, going from invisible to visible. Ami and Hayato both stared at the Nomu as it's whole body decloaked itself in front of their very eyes. Its exposed brain and creepy smile made them both shudder in disgust.

"Grrrr." She hissed, narrowing her eyes at her wet paw. She stared at the floor around her and quickly realized there were small puddles of water everywhere. Ami kept her eyes wide as she observed Nomu's reaction to the water, making her come to a realization.

"The water messed with its invisibility. Unlike Hagakure's, this thing can go invisible at will but only when it's dry?" Ami theorized, taking note of how getting wet messed with it.

The Nomu raised her tail up in the air, getting Ami and Hayato's attention. Hayato stared at the blade and saw it reflect the pool light, making him gulp. Ami kept Hayato behind her and tensed up, keeping her eyes on the tailblade. She activated her quirk and felt the heat rising through her throat. She had to prepare for a fight, but first, she needed to get Hayato away.

"Hayato, I need you to run, okay?" Ami shouted, making Hayato tense up in fear. He looked at her incredulously and stayed behind her.

"But, what about yo-"

"Don't worry about me. Take this." Ami said, throwing her phone back at Hayato. He quickly grabbed the phone and held it in his hands.

"Get outside and call for help. Remember what I said, I'm not letting him lay a hand on you, alright?" Ami repeated, receiving a nod from Hayato.

"Now, go! Run!" She shouted, causing Hayato to bolt it out of the doors. The Nomu watched the target head out the doors and took a step towards his direction, prompting Ami to fire at the door. A plume of flames hit the ground in front of Ravage, causing her to jump into the air and take a leap back. The doors were blocked by fire, causing the purple eyed feline to roar in frustration.

"Hey! You're not taking him, you hear me, you stupid villain!" Ami exclaimed, getting the monster's attention.

"Grrrr." She hissed, taking offense to her words. Ami looked at the Nomu and paused, noticing its reaction to her insult. It was like it knew what being called stupid meant. She frowned and remembered what she knew about the Nomu.

"The identity of the Nomu that attacked the Prison Bus is this man." Tsukauchi declared.

"Gin Nakamura." Tsukauchi stated. Ami returned to the present and stared at the Nomu with a serious face. She remembered what Backdraft and Wyvern told her about the investigation and gulped.

"You're not like the Nomu I met before. I can tell. You're smarter." Ami observed, causing Ravage to squint her eyes at her with curiosity. Ami noticed its behavior and clenched her fists, feeling her suspicions get confirmed.

"Your master isn't around, either, is he?" Ami questioned, hearing another snarl escape from Nomu's lips. She kept on the defensive and observed its reactions.

"It understands me." Ami thought, realizing it was listening to her words. She was shocked by its intelligence.

"I didn't know what to think at first but I think I know why you're here instead of in the city. You want Hayato, right? That was your master's command, wasn't it? Gin Nakamura!" Ami shouted, causing the Nomu to pause.

Gin Nakamura? Ravage heard the name and flinched, perking her ears up. Hearing that name did something to her. She clenched her paws and cracked the floor as memories entered her head.

She was in the water. Somewhere dark. Computer screens were the only source of light illuminating the dark. She was in the water. There was glass in front of her. She saw a man standing in front of her. She watched as he pressed a button on a remote, draining the water. She fell to the floor, shivering from the cold. The man picked her up and brought her to a table. She could barely understand the words coming out of his mouth.

"Don't worry. When the surgery is complete, you'll feel a lot better." The man said, poking her skin with something sharp. She flinched at the pain, but felt a strange calming sensation flow through her. In seconds, the world went blurry. Then it got dark.

"Grrr!" Ravage snarled, returning to reality. She shook her head and shrugged the memories out of her mind. She let out a snort from her throat and glared daggers at the green haired hero. She blocked her from chasing after the target. She hated her. She hated fire, making her enraged. The boy was her target. How dare she get in the way?

"Hehe. Then by all means. Be stealthy or go wild. It doesn't matter how you do it. Just have fun." Shigaraki said, repeating through Ravage's brain. Have fun. Fun…

She flexed her muscles and stood up on her hind legs, causing Ami to tense up. Ravage sat on her legs and slammed her front paws to the ground, causing the tiles to break apart. She flared her nostrils and roared at her in anger.

"Mrowr!" She roared, feeling a need for revenge.

Ami gritted her teeth and clenched her fists tightly as the Nomu glared directly at her. She could hear the muscles inside the Nomu begin to crack and expand, watching as the Nomu's body grew double in size.

Ami stepped back and took on a combat stance, glaring at the Nomu without backing down. She gulped and swirled the flames around her mouth, feeling the heat increase. She looked at the hate filled monster in her vision and spoke up, trying to get through to Gin.

"Gin, if you're in there. You don't have to listen to commands. You can still walk away..." Ami pleaded, ready to fight.

Ravage glared at the girl, listening to her words. She scoffed at them in defiance. Ignore commands? Absolutely not. Her use of that name frustrated her. It had no meaning to her. She wanted to have fun. She wanted to catch her target. She analyzed the girl's body language and knew she was ready to defend herself against her attacks. Her eyes lit up in a purple glow, activating her quirk. She could see it. The heat signature in her mouth. It was fire! She hated fire. Ravage snarled once more, causing Ami to grunt. She bared her teeth at the creature, allowing the Nomu to get a glimpse of the orange glow between her teeth.

Ami kept her eyes focused on the creature, making sure the Nomu was in her vision at all times. Even if the Nomu went invisible again, she'd be ready. Although, judging by the amount of water all around the floor, she imagined turning invisible would be difficult for Gin. She shrugged the thought aside for now and let the time pass between them as they stared each other down, waiting for one of them to make a move.

Ami slowly brought her hand to her hip, gently inching her fingers towards her axe. Her support item was still safely holstered around her belt. Ravage watched her actions with intense analysis, waiting for her moment to strike. She sniffed the air and smelt smoke coming from the girl's direction, angering her. She could see smoke emanating through the girl's teeth, adding fuel to her rage. She clenched her paws and felt her claws pierce the tiles beneath her. The room was damp and wet. She couldn't turn invisible in here. Then an idea formed in her head. The entire area was illuminated by the glow of the swimming pools, making their bodies glimmer in blue. Of course, that was it. Water.

Ravage snarled again and let out a roar, slamming her claws on the tiles. She charged straight towards Ami, prompting her to attack. Ami's body tensed up as she opened her mouth, unleashing a volley of flames towards the monster. The rapid increase of heat instantly dried up the wet floors, getting Ravage's attention. She felt the wetness on her paw dry up in an instant. She stared at the flames and jumped in the air, turning invisible. Ami continued breathing fire in front of her, unable to see the Nomu in her vision. The disappearance of the creature caused her eyes to narrow in confusion. Before she had time to think, she heard the tiles behind her break apart under tremendous force, making her flinch.

"What?" Ami thought, hearing the tiles break. She felt goosebumps go through her body as her eyes opened wide. She heard a snarl behind her, causing her heart to beat fast. She stopped her fire breathing and attempted to turn around. However, the Nomu was faster. Before she could even react, its tail wrapped around her throat, squeezing her mouth closed with her fire trapped inside. Ami yelped and gasped for air as her eyes widened with fear, feeling the flames in her throat.

"Oh no!" Ami thought, realizing her mistake too late. The Nomu had planned this.

"I can't breathe!" Ami thought, gripping onto the monster's tail with both her hands. She frantically clawed at the tail with her fingers out of a desperate attempt to break free.

"Damn it! My flames must've dried up the floor for it. Then it turned invisible before I even had the chance to see it jump across…" Ami realized, trying her best to pull the tail away. None of her efforts worked to move the tail even an inch away from her throat.

"It used me!" Ami thought, gritting her teeth. It had used her flames to its advantage. This wasn't luck, this was strategy! Her thoughts went all over the place as the Nomu appeared from the shadows, deactivating its invisibility quirk.

"Mrowr." The cat snarled, letting out a strange snorting sound. Ami quickly realized it was laughing at her, causing her to question the Nomu's intelligence even further. Laughter. It was laughing at her. She wondered just how human this thing was. She closed her eyes and started to sweat, drawing blood from biting her own tongue.

"No. No. No!" Ami thought, panicking as the Nomu lifted her feet off the ground. Ravage glared at the girl and watched her struggle, continuing to laugh at her expense. Shigaraki's voice continued to echo through her skull.

"Have fun." Shigaraki said, making the cat Nomu pur. Her baser instincts kicked in, causing her to play with her prey. A glimpse of the past played through her head. She licked her lips as she stared at the rat caught in her claws. She played with it and played with it for hours, letting it suffer in her grasp. She returned to the present and stared at the girl, glancing at the pool nearby. Yeah, that's what she'd do.

Ami struggled against the monster's grip around her throat, kicking the air in resistance. The tight grip on her neck made breathing fire impossible unless she wanted to lose all of her remaining air in an instant. Her mind focused on what to do next, trying to come up with something. Her eyes shot open with an idea, making her focus. She let go of the monster's tail and felt it tighten even more around her neck. She stayed strong and reached for her hips, putting her hands on her belt.

"My axe!" Ami thought, reaching for her support item. Ravage stared at the hero and snarled, lifting her higher up in the air. The sudden lift caused Ami's hands to slip away from the axe. She roared and squeezed even more, wrapping the tailblade along her face. Ami stared at the blade in front of her and narrowed her eyes, gritting her teeth in anger. Ravage dropped her tail downward, slamming Ami hard on the floor. Just as she unclipped her axe from her hip. In one well-timed motion her axe fell from her hip and landed on the floor below. She groaned at the pain her body was going through from the hard slam and reached out for the axe. Before she could reach it, her neck was dragged backwards, flinging her on her backside. She winced in pain as the tightness on her neck increased, keeping one eye open to keep track of where they were heading. Her eyes shrunk in fear as she realized the Nomu was dragging her to the glimmering pool. Ravage stared down at the water and brought her tail forward, dropping Ami into the water.

Ami gasped for air as water filled her lungs in seconds, making her claw and kick in the water. She grabbed onto the Nomu's tail and desperately tried to pull it off of her, but to no avail. She kept her eyes open and looked up at the Nomu through the water, gurgling in fear.

"He's got my neck wrapped around its tail. I can't get it off!" Ami thought, panicking.

"No! Not like this! This can't be how it all ends!" Ami thought, feeling her body start to weaken itself. Her struggle in the water caused Ravage to snort, laughing at her expense. Ami heard the Nomu's laughs through the water and growled. She looked up at the water with a glare and activated her quirk in an act of defiance.

"No! I won't let you kill me!" Ami thought, activating her quirk. She opened her mouth and spewed out flames through the water, creating steam. Ravage felt the temperature in the water increase and tilted her head in confusion. An orange glow filled the water as bubbles climbed to the surface. Ravage narrowed her eyes and snarled, squeezing tighter around Ami's neck. It was the closest she could squeeze without snapping her neck and ending the fun instantly. Ami felt her neck tighten, causing her flames to cut off. She gagged in the water, releasing smoke. Ami deactivated her quirk and drooped her head down, losing all of her strength. She went pale and felt her eyes bulge out from the pain of drowning. She let go of the Nomu's tail and surrendered, feeling the life drain out of her. Ravage let out a snort as she felt her fighting cease, sensing the end of her fun.

Slice

Ravage roared out in pain as her tail fell to the floor. She looked at the axe in her vision and hissed. She felt hands grip her spine and squeeze tightly around her back, letting out pops. She cranked her head to the left and saw the culprit in her vision, seeing a tall muscular figure with a horn grab hold of her backside. Nashorn flared his nostrils and threw the Nomu across the room, scowling in disgust at the creature. Ravage flew into the wall with blood oozing out of its tail. She roared as she blew straight through the wall, landing back inside the Play Area. To add insult to injury, she landed on the rocketship, knocking the whole thing onto the floor with her.

Nashorn stared at the hole in the wall and blew steam out of his nose. He turned around and looked down at the pool. Blood covered the pool, affecting visibility within. He stared into the pool and quickly dipped his hand inside and felt around. Feeling a body inside, he grabbed hold of it. He gently held on and raised his hand out of the pool, staring at the body in his grip. Water dripped out of her hero costume as she rose above the surface. Nashorn lowered his eyes in recognition as he remembered meeting her. He squeezed her body in his hand, letting more water drip out of her costume. She felt cold, making him frown with worry.

He blew his nose and huffed, gently placing her body onto the floor. He let go of her body and crouched down, placing a finger on her chest. He pushed his finger down on her chest, forcing the water to escape out of her lungs. The push worked instantly, causing Ami to rise up with water gushing out of her mouth.

"Pfft!" Ami gasped, coughing out water from her mouth. She rolled onto her stomach and coughed profusely, placing her hands on the floor. Her hands trembled in exhaustion as she struggled to open her eyes. They were completely red and puffy, making her vision blur. She kept her stomach off the ground and laid on her knees, feeling her arms start to give up. She lost her strength and fell on her side, coughing more water out. Water exited her ears, allowing her hearing to return. Slowly, her senses returned to her as her body shivered uncontrollably. She felt very cold. Her costume was completely drenched in water. If she didn't do something fast then she would enter hypothermia. She wasn't thinking that far yet, instead she focused on trying to stand up. She got on one knee and trembled, immediately falling back onto her side. Nashorn quickly placed his finger on the floor next to her, cushioning her fall.

"Easy. Mach langsam." Nashorn stated, keeping Ami from moving too fast. Ami gasped for air, breathing air in-and-out of her lungs in quick succession. She successfully coughed out all the water in her lungs, allowing her mind to process what was happening.

"I-I…" Ami stuttered. Her vocal cords were still too weak for her to speak and her body was still shivering immensely.

"So cold." Ami thought. It was all she could think about at the moment. She needed to get warm. She needed a towel. She needed fire. Wait a minute! She closed her eyes and activated her quirk, feeling her flame organ burst into flames. She felt an immediate sense of relief, making her sigh with warmth. However, all the water that entered her body had caused her quirk to weaken, causing her to keep shivering.

"More." She thought, placing her hand on her hip. She pulled open a pouch on her belt and grabbed hold of a metallic object inside, bringing it up to her face. Nashorn raised his eyebrow at her actions, watching as she easily flicked her lighter on while her hand was trembling intensely. She opened her mouth as wide as she could and inhaled, sending a stream of fire flying into her mouth, heating her up at fast speeds.

Slowly, her body started to shiver less and less. Even her clothes started to dry up from her rising body temperature. She continued to inhale flame until she could no longer keep her mouth open. She stopped inhaling and gasped for more air, beginning to calm down. Feeling warm, her brain started to focus on events. Recent events.

She was drowning. She was dying. No, she was dead… but, now she's alive again. But, how? Ami opened her red, puffy eyes and stared up at the ceiling, seeing a large figure stare back down at her. This was a very tall figure staring at her, making her question who or what it was. Slowly, her vision returned to normal. She blinked faster and faster and got a clear view of her savior.

He was tall with gray skin. His face wasn't human shaped, it was shaped like a rhinoceros. And his nose had a horn at the end, causing Ami to recognize his features. It was Nashorn. She felt her breathing steady as she stared up at him with a strained smile. He pulled her out of the water. He was the reason she was still alive.

"Th-thank y-you." Ami strained, still finding it difficult to speak.

"Bitte." Nashorn said, appreciating her thanks. Ami regained most of her strength and managed to stop trembling, sitting up on her knees. She looked at her hands on her lap and clenched them, tightly squeezing her lighter. She looked at the pool and raised her eyes, seeing nothing but blood. The Nomu's severed tail floated above the water's surface, choosing now to sink into the deep. It fell to the bottom of the pool where Ami couldn't see it. She sniffled and gripped her neck, feeling a red mark on where the Nomu was choking her. She took deep breaths and stretched her limbs, hearing them make audible cracks. She flared her nostrils and put her lighter back in her pouch. Her lighter was a lifesaver, preventing her entering hypothermia and revitalizing her quirk. She stood up and shook her costume, feeling it dry up in response to her body heat. Feeling okay enough to keep going, her mind immediately came back to its senses.

"Hayato!" Ami screamed, straining her voice even more. The sudden loud voice caused Nashorn to flinch in alarm.

"Hm?" Nashorn questioned, tilting his head at her outburst in surprise. Ami leaned on Nashorn and looked up at him with fear.

"H-He's here! Th-that monster is ch-chasing him! I h-have to go after h-him." Ami exclaimed, wanting to run but nearly tripping off of nothing. She panted in exhaustion, feeling tired and drained of all her stamina. She was warm and her senses were back, but she was still not at full strength. She drowned a minute ago and her mind was still coming to terms with that. She heard Nashorn's nostrils flare above her, getting her attention.

He knelt down and placed his hand on the floor.

"Here." Nashorn said, holding her axe in his hand. Ami saw the axe and nodded, taking it off Nashorn's hand. He crouched down and lowered his head, creating space for her to climb up.

"Get. On." Nashorn stated, making sure she heard loud and clear. Ami looked at his face and nodded, climbing onto his back. She crawled on and held onto his outfit, keeping a hand on his shoulder. She felt dejavu go through her, making her mind think back to the Sports Festival. All the space on his back reminded her of Shoji. It was like she was taking part in the Cavalry Battle again, making her smile for just a second. She looked at his eyeball and nodded in appreciation, receiving a nod back. She glanced down at his outfit and raised her eyes upon a familiar insignia on his shoulder, surprising her even more.

"That logo. It's like Wyvern's…" Ami thought, recognizing the insignia. Her mind thought back to Wyvern's description of his hero organization from yesterday.

"That's our logo. It's different for every member." Wyvern explained, echoing through Ami's head. Nashorn's Insignia was similar to Wyvern's. It was a red plus sign with fists pounding together behind it, causing Ami to look at Nashorn with realization.

"Y-You're a part of the H-Health Syndicate…" Ami gasped, getting Nas's attention. He smirked and flexed his muscles.

"Colossal Rhino Hero: Nashorn! His quirk: Rhino! Nashorn can do basically anything a rhino can. He's built like a tank and excellent with his fists. In the Health Syndicate, his position represents the fist. He's the muscle of the Health Syndicate!" Present Mic announced.

"S-sorry, I thought you were the j-janitor." Ami apologized, seeing Nashorn look at her with a smirk.

"Hmph. Everyone does." He scoffed. He crouched down to all fours, imitating a rhino and flared his nostrils. They had to find Hayato and get out of the Museum.

Hosu City Streets

Several pro heroes gathered on the street, taking on the Muscular Nomu with extreme difficulty. The Nomu was proving to be more than capable of handling them, resisting most of their quirks and tossing away their heavy hitter like it was nothing. The second Nomu just soared above them as they focused their efforts on the muscular one. Manual kept away from the fight and sprayed water onto the burning buildings exterior. The pros made several attempts to take the Nomu down but none of them were working.

"Dammit. What are these things?" The hero questioned, watching the flying Nomu flap away.

"They're way too powerful!" Another hero said. The Nomu delivered a powerful punch towards a hero dressed in white, knocking him to the floor in a daze. The Nomu looked at its surroundings and stared at an unoccupied car. He grabbed the vehicle and picked it up with his bare hands, raising it above his face. The other heroes stared at the Nomu and gasped as it threw the vehicle at the fallen hero.

"Watch out, Fly!" A hero shouted. Fly looked up at the approaching vehicle and flinched, bracing for impact.

Splash

A blast of water sprayed at Fly, sending him knocking to the side. He landed softly on the street and looked around in surprise, not expecting to be saved.

"GGGRRRR." The Nomu growled, watching Fly escape the vehicle he threw at him. He twisted his head towards the direction of the water's origin and stared at a hero dressed like a firefighter. The Nomu let out a threatening snarl at the Water Hero and took one step forward.

Snatch

The Nomu felt a weight land on his back, causing him to freeze. He stood up straight and spun around, looking for the mysterious weight. The Nomu got mad that he couldn't see what was on his back and raised his arms up and took swipes at his back, missing the stoic hero. Wyvern avoided every swipe with ease, knowing just how to deal with bigger villains like this one. He narrowed his eyes and held on tightly as the flames jutted out the back of his neck.

"You ready, Fuego?" Wyvern thought, hearing an enthusiastic growl from his quirk.

"Hehehe. Let me at him!" Fuego exclaimed, zooming out of Wyvern's neck. Flames traveled down the stoic hero's shoulder's and latched itself onto his arms, zooming into his hands and leaping onto the Nomu's body. The Nomu roared in pain as the flames burned his chest, causing the other heroes to temporarily stop fighting.

Backdraft rushed towards Manual's side and activated his quirk, spraying water at the fires. Manual made room for Backdraft and made eye contact with the water hero, giving him a quick nod before focusing on the fire. The other heroes watched in awe as the red headed hero stayed on the Nomu like it was a mechanical bull ride. Flames emitted off the hero's neck and traveled through his arms, spreading the flames through the Nomu's chest. Two eyes glowed within the flames as it expanded, quickly consuming Nomu's entire body. The Nomu felt the flames burn through his skin and roared out in pain, surprising the other heroes.

"He's weakening him! Quick, everyone help!" A hero said, pointing at the muscular Nomu.

"No! All of you stay back! I can't help you if he burns you, too." Wyvern shouted, getting the heroes to listen to his warning and look at him in confusion. His way of saying no to backup left them befuddled.

"Huh?" The heroes mumbled, looking at each other with puzzled expressions. Wyvern gritted his teeth and gripped harder onto Nomu's back, leaning his head against its spine. Despite Tsukauchi's words echoing through his mind, Wyvern ignored them. In a way, he wasn't fighting Nomu alone. He was Fuego's backup.

"Hahaha." A deep guttural voice laughed, burning the Nomu with twice the power. Fuego felt exhilarated by the Nomu's capabilities. His flames were burning through his flesh with ease yet it still remained conscious. He smiled widely and continued his attack, enjoying the fight even more. At this point, the pain the Nomu was going through caused him to forget all about Wyvern's body. Instead, he started weakly swiping at the flames on his own body, making Fuego cackle.

"This guy's an idiot. He's trying to swipe at me and I haven't even taken physical form yet." Fuego thought, receiving a nod from Wyvern in agreement.

"You said it. Don't forget the Detective's words. No holding back!" Wyvern thought, flexing his muscles.

"Hehe. Right." Fuego nodded in agreement.

"Let's take him down!" Wyvern thought, "Full Body Wyvern!" Wyvern yelled, causing the flames on Nomu's body to burn at an even higher temperature. In seconds, the flames increased in size, consuming them both in a large fire. The heat of their attack caused the road to boil beneath the Nomu's feet.

The heroes covered their eyes and stared at the sweltering ball of fire in shock and awe, watching as a head began to take shape at the very top of the flames. Their mouths dropped as a neck took form, followed by a bottom jaw with razor sharp teeth. The flames coalesced at the top, taking the shape of the upper jaw. Rows of teeth took form within the jaws of living fire. Two glowing red eyes formed above the dragon's jaws, glaring menacingly at the completely charred Nomu. The Nomu looked up at the sky and stared into the eyes of the Flaming Wyvern, watching its nostrils flare with hunger.

Within seconds, the Flaming Wyvern opened its jaws and chomped down on the Nomu's body, tearing through flesh and biting through bone. The Nomu felt all the bones on its chest break apart within its body. The overwhelming weight of the wyvern's attack caused the Nomu to fall to the ground with broken arms, ribs, and legs. Its pain receptors were all destroyed by the extreme heat.

The Nomu collapsed onto the floor with a thud. Its body was completely unrecognizable from before. Wyvern held onto his back as he hit the floor, glaring at the fallen Nomu with a sadistic sense of satisfaction.

"Good one, Fuego!" Wyvern grinned, taking his arms off the Nomu's back. Fuego felt Wyvern's arms leave the Nomu's body and scoffed, forcing his physical form to dissipate. The flames collapsed in on itself as it hastily retreated back onto Wyvern's hands. The flames slithered off Wyvern's arms and coalesced into one spot on the stoic hero's shoulder. Fuego appeared under the extra fabric on Wyvern's shoulder, glaring down at the Nomu with intense satisfaction.

"Is he dead?" Fuego questioned, looking up at Wyvern for confirmation.

"Lemme check." Wyvern said, placing a hand on the Nomu's charred wrist. He felt a pulse on the Nomu's wrist and scoffed in amazement.

"Damn. This thing's still alive." Wyvern said, making Fuego scoff, "I wouldn't be surprised if you put this thing in a coma." Wyvern grinned, cracking his knuckles in victory.

"Stomp on its brain just to be sure." Fuego growled, making the grin on Wyvern's face disappear.

"Yeah. No." Wyvern denied, making Fuego flare his nostrils.

"But we should kill him. That's what the Detective said." Fuego reminded him, making Wyvern roll his eyes.

"I know what he said. But this guy's clearly weaker than the USJ Nomu. And, if that's the case, then we may get more information out of capturing these things alive." Wyvern justified, hearing Fuego scoff.

Coward." Fuego complained. Wyvern took a deep breath and stretched his muscles, lifting his goggles off his eyes. He looked down at the charred body and watched small streams of smoke fly off its burnt muscles. He examined the bite marks on its arms, waist, and legs with a disgusted grimace.

"His bite wounds are already cauterized by the fire. That's gonna leave one helluva scar." Wyvern analyzed.

"He's lucky I didn't snap him in half." Fuego commented, getting a nod of agreement from Wyvern. He looked up and hopped off the Nomu's body, looking around the street with a straight face. The other heroes stared at him and the flaming dragon on his shoulder with awe.

"Whoa. That hero just took out that big one by himself. Who is he?" A hero questioned, staring at the stoic hero in awe. Fuego heard the comment and flared his nostrils, saying nothing. He could see Wyvern glare at him through his peripheral vision.

"Don't worry, fellas. He's still alive." Wyvern said, hearing the ground sizzle behind him, "Probably." He added, watching the Nomu boil on the melting cement.

"You sure?" One of the heroes asked, finding it hard to believe anything could survive that attack.

"Uh huh. Now do you wanna get some handcuffs for this guy? Anyone?" Wyvern asked, looking for a volunteer. The other heroes glanced amongst themselves, hoping the other guy would do it. Wyvern rolled his eyes and pointed at the bigger hero with bull horns.

"You there. Get this guy restrained." He ordered. The bull hero nodded and approached the fallen Nomu.

"Normal cuffs won't do for this guy. So you're gonna have to improvise some stronger restraints." Wyvern clarified. The bull hero huffed and walked over to a stop sign. He casually pulled the metal pole out of the ground and headed towards the Nomu.

"That'll do." Wyvern nodded, staring at the bull with a stoic face. The bull hero climbed onto the Nomu's back and pulled his charred arms back, twisting the metal pole around his wrists to create handcuffs.

"There." The hero said, receiving a nod from the stoic hero. Away from the heroes, Backdraft and Manual finished extinguishing the fires on the street, giving them some time to talk.

"Thanks for the assist, Backdraft." Manual said, extinguishing the fires. Backdraft nodded at him with respect and deactivated his quirk.

"Didn't think we'd run into each other again, today." Backdraft said, raising his pipe arm towards Manual.

"I'll say." Manual said, fistbumping the water hero's wrist. The celebration was short-lived as Backdraft noticed his student's absence. He looked around the battlefield and scanned the area for any sign of him, prompting Backdraft to look at Manual with concern.

"Where's your student?" He asked, causing Manual's smile to fall. Backdraft noticed his body language and raised his eye wide open.

"He ran off…" Manual admitted in defeat. Wyvern heard what Manual said as he approached and raised his eyes in alarm.

"You lost him?" Backdraft exclaimed, crossing his arms at Manual with disappointment.

"Yeah…" Manual frowned, feeling terrible. Fuego flared his nostrils and narrowed his eyes with criticism, causing his body to burn brighter on Wyvern's shoulder.

"You idiot! How do you lose a kid dressed in white armor? What, did his armor not clank loud enough for you?" Fuego criticized, causing Wyvern to crush Fuego's fabric with his hand.

"How bout you shut up?" Wyvern scolded. He let go of his shoulder and watched Fuego poke his head out of the fabric with a frustrated growl.

"Sorry about him." Wyvern apologized.

"He's completely right." Manual sighed, "I was distracted by all the mayhem and took my eyes off him for just a second." He said, realizing his biggest mistake. Wyvern listened to his sad voice and sighed.

"Don't worry. We'll help you look for him." Wyvern said.

"How long ago was this?" Backdraft asked.

"I don't know. Probably twenty minutes ago." Manual answered.

"Twenty minutes? He could be anywhere, Tatsu." Fuego commented, looking up at Wyvern's face.

"Yeah, then we better start looking." Wyvern said, gritting his teeth. Backdraft wiped sweat off his face with his wrist and groaned.

"Ugh. I'm glad my Hero-In-Training is in a safe place right now." Backdraft mumbled, feeling relief.

"Right, Flame Guard. Where is she?" Manual asked, looking around for Backdraft's student.

"She's safe, thankfully, back at the Museum." Backdraft answered, "By the way, have you made contact with Birdkeeper and Native?" Backdraft asked, wondering about their whereabouts.

"Mhm. Birdkeeper took a bad hit from the Nomu when they first attacked. He's alive, but not in any condition to fight. As for Native, I haven't seen him." Manual answered.

"Hm. Thanks, Manual. I appreciate it. Now let's go find your student." Backdraft said.

"Hey! It's moving!" The female hero shouted, getting Backdraft and Wyvern's attention.

"Grrrr." The Nomu growled, feeling nothing but pain. His body did the best it could to heal from the flaming wyvern's attack, replenishing its muscles and closing up physical wounds. It squirmed around on the melted floor and raised its head off the ground, trying to feel its limbs. Its regeneration tried to heal the cauterized bite marks, but they stayed firmly in place. The Nomu's arms and legs were completely inoperable. It growled and flared its nostrils in rage, unable to stand up.

"Geez, Wyvern. You really messed him up." Backdraft commented, feeling kinda sorry for the Nomu. Wyvern cringed at its inability to stand and clenched his fists.

"I told you you should have stomped on his brain." Fuego grunted, looking down Wyvern's shoulder at the Nomu.

"Ugh. Looks like he can't heal wounds that are already cauterized." Wyvern observed, hearing the Nomu snarl.

"What should we do?" Manual asked. The other heroes approached the broken Nomu with the same amount of pity.

"Stand aside!" A deep voice said from behind the group. The pros heard the voice and turned around. Their eyes went wide when they saw who was approaching. They all stepped back and immediately made space for the hero, leaving Backdraft, Wyvern, and Manual near the Nomu. The three heroes turned their heads back and looked at the man in surprise, not expecting to see the Number Two Hero standing right in front of them.

"Endeavor?" Backdraft questioned, staring at the Number Two Hero in complete surprise. Wyvern narrowed his eyes at Endeavor and crossed his arms, staring at him with a stoic face. Fuego appeared on Wyvern's shoulder and glared at the Flaming Hero. The three heroes stepped back and let Endeavor approach the fallen Nomu.

The Nomu stared at the Number Two Hero and snarled, making Endeavor flare his nostrils. He stared at the Nomu's body and analyzed the cauterized bite marks on its arms and legs. He quickly realized it was paralyzed.

"Hmph." Endeavor grunted, looking impressed.

"These bite marks. Were they your handywork?" Endeavor asked, looking at the stoic hero.

"He's ours!" Fuego hissed, making Endeavor raise his eyebrow at the talking quirk. He looked at the red head and examined his costume, recognizing him.

"I've seen you at the Sports Festival." Endeavor commented.

"Right back at you." Wyvern replied, crossing his arms. He looked at Backdraft and also recognized the water hero.

"Hmph. I didn't think there was a hero around these parts that was capable of taking on this thing." Endeavor complimented, getting down on one knee. He looked at the muscular Nomu with disgust, feeling no sympathy towards it at all.

"Should we arrest him?" The female hero asked, causing Endeavor to shake his head.

"That won't be necessary. We already have one in custody." Endeavor replied, watching the Nomu squirm.

"So, you couldn't heal from those bite marks, huh?" Endeavor asked, facing the Nomu with a sadistic grin.

"Well, then…" Endeavor grinned, raising his hands out. He grabbed onto the Nomu's brain, causing it to squirm and shake its head in an attempt to get his hands off his brain.

"Let's see you come back from this." Endeavor grinned, activating his quirk. The Nomu let out a gurgle as his brain was consumed in fire. It struggled to move as Endeavor's flames turned bright blue, causing his brain to melt into ash. Endeavor deactivated his quirk and watched what was left of Nomu's head drop to the floor. Its regeneration was unable to heal its brain. The Nomu died instantly. Endeavor scoffed and stood back up, proud of his work.

"Incinerated cells can't regenerate." Endeavor smirked.

"Above you!" A hero said, noticing the second Nomu flying away. Endeavor watched the Nomu fly away and went straight faced.

"Any hero whose quirk isn't suited for this, go help on Ekou street in District Four."

"What's over there?" Wyvern asked, raising an eyebrow at the flaming hero.

"I don't know. Just do it." Endeavor admitted, running off after the Nomu.

"Let's go." Backdraft ordered, getting nods from the heroes. They all turned around and ran towards the location. Manual followed close behind, hoping that his student was nearby.

Quirk Museum - Play Area

Ravage rolled around the floor in pain, bleeding profusely from her backside. She sank her claws into the carpet, tearing the floor up with each swipe. She hissed and moaned as the wound closed up. She flinched and remained still as the healing commenced, feeling her bones grow back. Her new tail protruded out of her rear, crunching and cracking as it extended outward.

The bladed tip on the end of her tail took the longest to regrow, causing her intense discomfort. She squeezed the floor and held in her pain, waiting until the tail had fully recovered. When the wound was healed, she turned her head and looked at her tail. She snarled and brought it to her face, licking off the dead skin and fluid off her newly born tail. Feeling no more pain. She hissed and retracted her claws, roaring out in anger.

"Grrrraooorrrr!" She roared, echoing across the entire Museum.

Lobby

Hayato entered the lobby panting in exhaustion. He looked around the dark entrance and saw the outside world in front of him. He smiled at the view and felt a sense of relief go through him.

Grrrraooorrrr!

Hayato felt his skin jump out of his bones at the sound of the roar, making him yelp in fear. He looked around the lobby and could hear footsteps heading his way, forcing him to think fast. He quietly ran towards the Kiosk and hid under the desk, holding in his breath. He covered his mouth and listened to the sounds. He heard footsteps enter the lobby, but they didn't sound like claws. He listened even closer and heard an older man's voice, making him gasp.

"Ami." Imiter whispered.

"Mr. Imiter." Hayato blurted out, sticking his head up from the kiosk. Imiter jumped at the outburst and tensed up, relaxing upon seeing Hayato.

"Oh, Spark Plug, it's you." Imiter smiled, letting his guard down. Hayato ran out of the kiosk and hugged Imiter's leg. Imiter smiled and rubbed his hair with his hand, happy to see the child. He immediately frowned however when he realized he was looking at Hayato.

"Hayato!" Imiter exclaimed, looking at the child with wide eyes.

"Why aren't you in the Safe Zone?" Imiter asked, causing Hayato to sniffle with tears falling from his eyes. He noticed his sad expression and shrugged, comforting the child.

"Forget about that. Are you hurt anywhere?" Imiter questioned, spinning the boy around.

"No, I-I'm fine, b-but, Ami-" Hayato squeaked out in a panic. Imiter clenched his fists and felt his heart tighten at the mention of Ami's name, causing him distress.

"What? Where's Ami?" Imiter asked, remembering his mission. He looked at Hayato's scared face and frowned, fearing the worst outcome.

"She's in the Water Area. She's fighting the m-monster!" Hayato explained, causing Imiter's heart to stop.

"She's what!?" He exclaimed, tightening his shoulders. Hayato sniffled and nodded, continuing to talk.

"She told me to run towards the lobby. Then she gave me her phone and told me to get as far away from here so I could call for help." Hayato explained, pulling out Ami's phone. He held the device in his hand and got Imiter's attention. He saw the phone light up in Hayato's hands and did a double take.

"But, her phone shouldn't be working…How is it-" Imiter questioned, looking at the device in Hayato's hands with a puzzled expression.

"I turned it on with my quirk." Hayato explained. Imiter looked at Hayato in disbelief and analyzed his body language. He was telling the truth, causing Imiter to narrow his eyes and smirk at the child in awe.

"Incroyable, Monsieur. Fantastiqué!" Imiter praised, placing his hands on Hayato's shoulders. He cranked his head back towards the dark plaza and stared at the entrance to the Water Area. His face quickly went pale as he remembered Tsukauchi's words for a second time.

"If you ever find yourself alone with the Nomu, then I suggest calling backup immediately." Tsukauchi replied, making Imiter scoff. If Ami truly was fighting the Nomu by herself, then she was in severe danger. But that roar earlier didn't sound like it came from the Water Area. Does that mean Ami was already-? He frowned at his thoughts, pushing the morbid scenario out of his head. He shrugged them aside and huffed, letting go of Hayato's shoulders.

"Stay here. I'm going to find Ami." He ordered, clenching his fists. Hayato heard him and resisted, immediately grabbing onto his pants.

"No, don't go. It's after me!" Hayato exclaimed, holding onto Imiter's leg.

"Huh?" Imiter questioned, taken aback by his statement. He paused and looked back down at Hayato, tilting his head in confusion.

"The monster. It's after me. It tried to grab me. But Ami stopped it from taking me!" Hayato cried, shocking Imiter more. His mouth slightly dropped at the revelation, focusing carefully on Hayato's words.

"You're sure it's after you?" Imiter asked, getting on one knee. He placed his hands back on Hayato's shoulders and stared at him directly.

"Mhm." Hayato nodded, causing Imiter's blood to run cold. Imiter looked at him with disbelief, but his body language proved otherwise. It was after him? That couldn't be true. What did Hayato ever do to it? Imiter focused and thought of the past, returning to the conversation they had about the USJ incident. Backdraft's words echoed through his head at that moment.

"What if these villains also intended to capture a student and turn them into one of these things?" Backdraft theorized. Imiter frowned at the memory, glancing at Hayato in denial.

"No…" Imiter thought, denying the possibility. He was just a child. It couldn't be because of that. He remembered Tsukauchi's words from the meeting two days ago and frowned.

"We compared the sample results to the DNA of everyone in the Missing Persons case…And found matches for all of them. None of them were on the criminal database except for Gin." Tsukauchi stated.

"The other quirks came from children…" Tsukauchi admitted, "The youngest being six…" He finished. Imiter returned to reality and felt his eyes shrink to the size of pins as he came to a horrifying conclusion.

"Oh my God…" Imiter thought. This thing wasn't after Hayato to turn him into a Nomu. It was after him because of his quirk!

"We have to get out of here!" Hayato exclaimed, snapping Imiter out of his thoughts. He looked at Hayato with a serious expression and shook his head rapidly. He gripped Hayato's shoulders more tightly and kept him standing in place.

"No. Hayato, you cannot leave this building." Imiter demanded, confusing the frightened child. Hayato lowered his eyes and frowned, confused by the demand.

"If this thing is after you, then you have to stay hidden." Imiter ordered, surprising Hayato. He didn't understand what Imiter was saying. Why would he stay in the Museum? The exit was right behind them?

"But, the door-" Hayato protested, looking at the broken glass entrance in his peripheral vision. Imiter shook Hayato's shoulders and returned his attention back to his face.

"It's too dangerous to make a run for it even with the monster distracted. I know how crazy this sounds but you must stay in the Museum and hide." Imiter said, scaring Hayato even more. Imiter was certain this was the best choice, remembering how quickly the power outages reached the Museum in the bunker.

"The Nomu reached our position in less than a minute. There's no way Hayato would get far if he ran out of the building." Imiter thought, rationalizing in his head. He wasn't going to tell Hayato about that part. He was already scared enough.

"You have to trust me, Hayato." Imiter said, getting an unsure look from Hayato. He sniffled and wiped more tears from his face, nodding slowly in understanding.

"Okay, I'll stay inside…" Hayato replied, making Imiter smile. He pulled Hayato towards his chest and hugged him tightly.

"Good boy. Good boy." Imiter said, thanking him profusely.

"Where should I hide?" Hayato asked, pulling away from Imiter's grasp. Imiter dropped his smile and returned to a serious expression, cranking his head to the left. He looked at the hallway leading to the Science Area and smirked.

"Head to the Science Area, Hayato. If you can use your quirk to reactivate the countermeasures, you'll have a better chance of staying hidden." Imiter ordered, pointing down the hall.

"But, what about Ami?" Hayato asked, getting an affirmative nod from Imiter.

"I'll find her." Imiter said, hoping she was still alive, "Now. Move." He ordered, turning back around.

He gritted his teeth as he turned around, ready to risk his own safety as his old hero instincts kicked in. However, as soon as he fully turned around and faced the plaza, he was greeted by the sight of two purple glowing eyes just a couple feet away from his face.

"Grr." Ravage meowed, staring at Imiter. Imiter stared at the floating pair of eyes and gasped. Hayato heard the Nomu's meow and flinched, immediately panicking. His eyes shrunk to the size of pins as he stepped away from Imiter, feeling his legs start to shake.

"Grrrrr!" She hissed, looking at the old man with flared nostrils. Great. Another distraction. She glanced behind the old man and glared at her target, growling at him. Imiter heard the growl aimed at Hayato and clenched his fists, leaping forward and punching the Nomu right between the eyes. The impact of his fist caused Ravage's eyes to widen in surprise, reeling back in bewilderment. The punch wasn't that powerful at all, but the sudden attack threw Ravage off, temporarily ceasing her actions.

Imiter winced at the punch, holding onto his hand with gritted teeth. It's been a while since he threw a punch at something. She stepped back a couple steps and decloaked, allowing Imiter to see the Nomu's true appearance. His mouth dropped as he saw the Nomu's face. Its ears were long, like a lynx, and its face was permanently smiling creepily. Most disturbing of all, was its exposed brain.

"Spark Plug…Run!" Imiter ordered. Hayato listened to Imiter's voice and snapped out of his trembling, running away from the lobby. He didn't waste any time to escape. Ravage twisted her head towards Hayato's direction and hissed, heading towards the child. Imiter stepped back and placed his hands on the kiosk, looking for something to grab. He grabbed a keyboard and ripped it off the plugs, throwing it at the Nomu's face. The keyboard broke upon impact, pissing off Ravage. She flinched at the impact, staring at the floor and watching the broken pieces clatter on the floor.

"Gin!" Imiter shouted, getting her attention. Ravage looked up at the old man and snorted, flaring her nostrils in annoyance. That name made her blood boil. She tilted her head at Imiter and narrowed her eyes. He watched her eyes pulsate and glow brighter, making him clench his fists.

"That's right. I know who you are. Didn't expect that, didya?" He said, making Ravage hiss.

"Grrr." She growled, focusing on the old man. Her massive size caused Imiter to gulp. He never realized how big it was after reading the reports. So far, it was succeeding at intimidation. Nonetheless, he kept his eyes glaring and his fists clenched.

"That's it. Look at me, villain." Imiter smirked, appearing unaffected by its intimidating presence. He waited for the perfect chance and kept up with his distraction. Making sure Hayato left without any delay. He glared at the Nomu with a brave face, gritting his teeth.

"I won't let you touch that boy, do you understand me?" Imiter said, making Ravage growl. She gritted her teeth and stepped forward.

"Grrr." She growled, looking at him with aggression. She snarled at the old man and tilted her head slightly in confusion. She wondered why this old man dared to challenge her, making her approach with caution.

"Yes…" Imiter muttered, watching the Nomu step forward.

"I know it's you in there, Mr. Nakamura. I don't know how or why they did this to you… but I know you're in there." Imiter said, causing Ravage to flare her nostrils. He watched Ravage come closer towards him and gulped. It was already too close. He looked into the Nomu's purple eyes and sighed, frowning with sympathy.

"I'm sorry for what they did to you, Mr. Nakamura." Imiter apologized, confusing Ravage.

"But I have to stop you." Imiter said, activating his quirk. He started to whistle at Ravage, confusing her even more. She stopped advancing and reeled her head back, listening to the whistle.

"Mrrp?" She questioned, coming off lighter than usual. She watched him whistle at her with no reaction, sniffing the air for danger. She felt nothing. Not a tug or a string pull at her brain. She ruled out mind control and stared at Imiter with confusion.

"C'mon!" Imiter stuttered, watching the Nomu approach with bewilderment. He continued to whistle at the Nomu, hoping for different results. Sweat started to drip down his face as he leaned back, rubbing against the kiosk.

"Why isn't it working? He shouldn't be acting like this even if he was resistant. It's like it's not affecting him at all..." Imiter thought, causing his eyes to widen.

"No." He whispered, feeling his stomach churn. Ravage hissed at the old man and unsheathed her claws, letting them scratch the floor beneath her. Imiter stopped whistling and felt his mouth drop, feeling his whole body get goosebumps.

"That can't be. It's not possible!" Imiter gasped, shaking his head at Ravage in total denial. Ravage sensed the fear rise within the old man, making her snort in amusement. Whatever he thought he was doing to her seemed to have failed, pleasing her. She raised her tail blade upward and snickered. Imiter heard the Nomu's laughter and froze. Ravage stood on her hind legs, raising her left paw upward. She rested her paw on his shoulder and revealed her claws, tearing through his suit with ease. He winced in pain as her claws pierced his skin, making him gasp. She let out another growl and put pressure on her claws, forcing the man to fall to the floor. He felt blood oozing down his arm and tilted his head in a daze. He looked at the Nomu's tailblade and felt his body tense up.

Slice

"Guh…." Imiter gasped, feeling her tail blade pierce his stomach. He looked down at the tail in his stomach and grew delirious, watching blood pour out. He couldn't believe what was happening. Everything he thought he knew about the Nomu was wrong. He licked his lips and tasted blood, looking up at the Nomu's face with horror.

"Y-You're not human." Imiter coughed, feeling his body grow weak.

"Grrrrr!" Ravage growled and pulled her tailblade out of his stomach, letting go of the old man in the process. He coughed out more blood and slumped to the floor, leaning on the kiosk.

"No!" Ami screamed, getting Ravage's attention. She turned her head to the right and was immediately punched in the face and sent flying through the broken glass entrance. Nashorn arrived with Ami on his back. Imiter looked up at Nashorn and Ami with double vision, feeling very weak. He breathed through his mouth as he stared at Ami. She was still alive. That's a good thing. He glanced to her left and saw Nashorn in view, making him smile faintly.

"Mr. Imiter!" Ami yelled, jumping off Nashorn. Nashorn flared his nostrils and clenched his fists, charging towards the broken glass entrance. He exited the Museum and glared at Ravage with hatred in his eyes. Ravage landed on her paws and hissed at the giant rhino, looking at him with rage. They circled each other and sized each other up. The rhino was huge, forcing Ravage to flare her nostrils. She tensed her body up and felt her limbs crack and expand, feeling her height increase. Nashorn watched her expand and huffed, showing no fear in her newly matching height. He roared and charged at her, clashing with the giant Nomu on the front lawn.

Ami crouched down and looked at Imiter with fear, holding onto his hand with a frown.

"A-Ami…" Imiter stuttered, looking at two Ami's in his vision. Ami looked at the gaping wound on his stomach and felt her heart race. She needed to act fast. She quickly took off her flame poncho, leaving her with just a jacket. She wrapped it around Imiter's stomach and pulled off his belt, tying it around her poncho to hold it in place. He coughed out blood and watched her with faded vision, impressed by her quick action. She looked at the claw mark on his shoulder and frowned, opening her first aid pouch.

"This'll hurt, Mr. Imiter, Sir." Ami warned, pouring alcohol on his shoulder. Imiter felt the sting on his shoulder and felt his eyes bulge open. He slammed his fist on the floor in recoil.

"Gaaahhh!" He cried, making Ami worry.

"I'm sorry." She apologized, cleaning his wound. She wrapped his shoulder up with a white bandage and tied it together, watching it stay in place. She finished her first aid and looked at Imiter with tears falling down her eyes.

"Ami." Imiter said, weakly. His whole body ached from the pain, forcing him to fight to stay awake.

"Don't move. Help is coming soon." Ami said, keeping a hand on his left shoulder.

"N-No, Ami. Hay-Hayato..." Imiter whispered, weakly.

"Hayato? Did you see him? Is he outside?"

Ami asked, lowering her eyes with sympathy.

"He's in the…b-building." Imiter said, causing Ami's eyes to widen with terror.

"What? But I told him to-" Ami frowned, shaking her head profusely.

"I told him to stay here…" Imiter interjected, causing Ami to freeze and look at him with a baffled expression.

"Wh- why?" Ami questioned, shocked that Imiter would want him to stay inside the building.

"H-He'd never make it out there. Ami, listen to me. That thing. It isn't Gin…" Imiter stuttered, trying his best to stay coherent. Ami listened to Imiter and reared her head back in bewilderment.

"What? But, the DNA-" Ami mentioned, getting a tiny wave from Imiter's hand.

"I know, but I'm telling you, it isn't him. My quirk doesn't work on animals." Imiter revealed, shocking Ami even more.

"Animals? What does that have to do with the Nomu?" Ami thought.

"You tried using your quirk on it?" Ami guessed, receiving a weak nod from the injured hero. She looked outside and watched Nashorn fight with the Nomu, watching him slam the Nomu's face into the dirt. She looked back down at Imiter and exhaled.

"Where's Hayato?" She asked, slightly shaking him in order to keep him awake.

"T-The Science Area. You have to protect him. Keep him away from the Nomu." Imiter groaned, breathing more heavily.

"I will, Imiter. I will!" Ami exclaimed, assuring him that Hayato would be safe. Imiter looked at Ami and grinned slightly, bearing through the pain. He lowered his left hand down to his pants and reached into his pocket, pulling out a golden card.

"T-take this with you. H-he'll need it." Imiter said, handing Ami the card. She nodded and took the card off his hand, watching his hand drop to the floor afterwards. Ami looked at Imiter's face and saw how pale it was getting, freaking her out. He closed his mouth and gulped, swallowing his blood.

"I'm giving you permission to use your quirk. I'm retired… so that might not mean much…but still…Don't let that thing take him." Imiter groaned, feeling his eyes get heavy.

"I won't. I promise." Ami promised, narrowing her eyes at him with determination.

"Thank you, Flame Guard…" Imiter said, losing consciousness. Ami let go of his hand and frowned, wiping the tears off her face with her wrist. She sniffled and stood up, watching Nashorn and Ravage fight outside.

Nashorn panted heavily in exhaustion watching the Nomu recover from their fight. The Nomu proved to be more than a match for the giant. Ravage glared and swiped her claws at Nashorn's tough skin. Her claws pierced his skin and made him bleed profusely. He grunted in pain and smacked her away, feeling his arm throb in pain. Nothing he did seemed to exhaust the Nomu as it kept up its assault. The Nomu wasn't even sweating, making him question how much stamina this thing had. Ravage hissed at Nashorn, getting his attention. She charged towards the rhino and raised her claws outward. Nashorn stepped to the side and grabbed onto her spine, slamming her into the ground.

"Grr!" She growled, feeling her bones crack under pressure. His tight grip crushed her rib cage, causing bone to pierce her own lungs. She hissed and raised her tailblade upward, activating her quirk. She extended the length of her tailblade and went in for the attack.

"Ugh!" Nashorn roared, feeling her blade pierce his backside. Ravage hissed and pulled her blade out, proceeding to rapidly stab Nashorn's back like a knife. Nashorn winced and loosened his grip on the Nomu, feeling blood drip out of his multiple stab wounds. Within seconds, he became overwhelmed with pain. He released the Nomu and fell to the floor, unconscious. Ravage crawled out of the hole in the ground created by their fight and licked her claws, cleaning them.

"No, Nashorn!" Ami yelled, watching the fight from inside. Ravage heard her scream and turned her eyes towards the entrance, spotting Ami's scared eyes.

"Grrrraooorrrr!" She roared, dropping to all fours. She ignored the pain in her ribs and limped towards the entrance. She stopped when she felt Nashorn's hand yank on her tail. She looked at him and hissed, clawing at his arm. He weakly let go and remained unconscious, sleeping on the dirt. Ravage panted in exhaustion and looked back inside, seeing the room was completely empty. She snarled and leaped into the Museum, landing on the kiosk. She rolled around and crushed the kiosk with her whole weight. She stopped rolling around and sniffed the air, catching a whiff of smoke towards the Science Area. She licked her lips and returned to her smaller size, running down the hall to the Science Area.

Imiter took several breaths of air as he leaned on the door to the Safe Zone, watching the Nomu run down the hall with eyes half-closed. He looked outside and stared at Nashorn's unconscious body, looking for a pulse. He relaxed a little when he noticed Nashorn's belly move up and down slightly. He was still alive. He stared up at the ceiling and felt his eyes roll behind his skull, losing consciousness for a second time.

Science Area

Ami entered the Science Area lobby with heavy breaths, slamming the door shut and leaning on it.

"Ami." Hayato said, getting her attention. Hayato ran up to her and hugged her, placing his head on her stomach. Ami looked at Hayato and smiled, rubbing her hand over his hair.

"Hayato, I'm so glad you're safe." Ami said, sniffling a bit. Hayato took his head off her stomach and noticed she was only wearing her jacket above her skintight suit.

"Your cape. It's gone." Hayato noticed, pulling away from Ami. Ami nodded in confirmation and quickly replied.

"Mr. Imiter needed it more than me." She said. She looked around the lobby walls and noticed a red box attached to the wall. There was a red button in the center of the box with text at the top. She squinted her eyes and read the text

"In case of emergency. Push to close barriers!" Ami said, raising her voice with every word.

"Spark Plug, look." Ami said, pointing at the button. Hayato turned his head and looked at the direction of Ami's finger, seeing the red button on the wall.

"The barriers!" Hayato exclaimed, running up to the button. He pulled his glove off his left hand and touched the button, reactivating the barrier.

Slam

The barrier quickly closed behind Ami, feeling the wind brush against her jacket. She turned around and noticed the doors were covered by a large metal barrier, making her smile.

"Nice one!" Ami smirked, praising Hayato's actions.

Bang Bang Bang

Ami stepped away from the doors upon hearing the banging. She stepped away from the barriers and listened to the banging with fists clenched. Hayato quickly ran up behind Ami and listened to the banging with fear.

"The barriers are working." Ami pointed out, flinching every time the walls banged.

"Grrrrr!" Ravage growled, clawing at the barrier. Her attacks proved useless against the metallic barrier. It was extremely durable. Way too strong for her claws to pierce through. It was a wasted effort to even continue. She retracted her claws and hissed at the barrier in frustration, giving up. She sniffed the air and still picked up the boy's scent, giving her a new path. She backed up and stared up at the second floor, peeking at the doors to the Science Area's second floor. They were made of glass. The barriers didn't close on the second floor, making her snicker with happiness.

Bump. Bump. Bump.

Ami and Hayato listened to the sounds from outside the Science Area and huddled close together. The silence in the building allowed them to hear the Nomu as it crawled up to the second floor, making them gulp with realization.

"The doors upstairs are exposed." They both thought, hearing the glass shatter upstairs. They flinched at the sound, looking up at the ceiling and listening to its footsteps.

"It's inside." Hayato whined, lowering his eyebrows in terror.

"Shh." Ami whispered, putting her finger on his lips. Hayato looked at her finger and nodded in understanding.

"What now?" Hayato whispered, keeping his voice down.

"I've been thinking about how it knew you were in the Museum. It must be tracking you with your scent." Ami whispered, making Hayato nervous. She was unsure if its tracking ability was because of its resemblance to a cat or if it was another quirk in its possession.

"Huh? You mean, it's been following me this whole time?" Hayato whimpered, feeling his stomach churn.

"Don't think about it." Ami said, looking directly into Hayato's eyes, "Trust me, you'll feel better." Ami assured. Hayato looked at her sympathetic eyes and nodded slowly.

"Anyways, if it has your scent. Then that's probably how it's able to locate you." Ami theorized, causing Hayato to tilt his head in confusion.

"So, what do we do?" He asked, shrugging his shoulders. Ami put her hand up to her chin and thought about it, quickly coming up with an idea.

"We have to change your scent. But, you won't like how." Ami admitted, making Hayato raise an eyebrow at her.

"How?" He asked, hesitantly.

"I'm going to have to cover you in smoke." Ami said, making Hayato squirm. He looked down at his clothes and his cardboard costume and frowned.

"But, won't my costume catch on fire?" Hayato asked, wrapping his cape around his neck and holding it tightly.

"Don't worry. I won't damage your costume. Trust me. It'll be easy…" Ami smiled, assuring him it was safe.

"And a little embarrassing." She thought, letting her smile falter slightly. Hayato contemplated his choices and figured it was a chance worth taking.

"Okay. I trust you." Hayato said, nodding his head in agreement.

"Thanks, Spark Plug." Ami said, appreciating his help. He smiled back at her, enjoying hearing her say his hero name.

"Now turn around. I need to do this now." Ami said, grabbing his shoulders. He spun him around and stared at the back of his head. She activated her quirk and frowned, already feeling embarrassed.

"Now close your mouth and eyes. Take a deep breath and hold it until I say so. Understood?" Ami ordered, receiving a nod from Hayato.

"Mhm." He said, taking a deep breath

He shut his mouth and closed his eyes, making her smile. She felt heat rush up her throat and enter her mouth. She got on her knees and kept her hands on the back of his shoulders, leaning forward. She closed her eyes and focused on her quirk, breathing smoke down his neck. His body shivered and cringed at the feeling of her breath, giving him goosebumps. He stood completely still and let Ami continue, covering his entire body in smoke. Not a single bit of flame exited her mouth as she breathed on his neck.

Upstairs

Ravage wandered down the halls of the second floor, sniffing the air and keeping track of his scent. She growled and slowly walked down the dark hall, letting her tail slide against the floor.

His scent gave her a direction, guiding her through the darkness. She didn't know where anything was in this place. It frustrated her to no end how much her target came to this place. It was the one place in the entire city she couldn't enter without causing a stir. She snarled and continued sniffing the air. She froze up in an instant, causing her eyes to widen. His scent. It was gone! She couldn't smell him anymore.

"Grrrrrraooohh!" She hissed, roaring like a mountain lion. She slammed her claws into the floor in frustration, going into a rampage on the second floor. She got on her hind legs and swiped at the walls, tearing through several picture frames with ease. She let out her anger on her surroundings and knocked over a trash can. She picked it up and threw it across the hallway, cracking the floor upon impact.

She sniffed the air and redoubled her efforts, catching a whiff of smoke. It was the girl's scent. She narrowed her eyes and snarled, realizing what happened. It was a trick. She changed his scent and made it exactly like her own, angering the Nomu. She growled and shrugged, returning to standing on all fours. She flared her nostrils and continued walking down the hall, following the smoky scent.

Downstairs

"Done." Ami said, swallowing her flames. She deactivated her quirk and crawled backward, leaning away from Hayato. He opened his eyes and opened his mouth, breathing the air. He looked around the room and turned around, staring at Ami with a confused frown.

"Did it work?" He asked, raising his arm up. He smelled himself and repulsed at the smell of smoke, visibly recoiling.

"Yeah, try not to smell yourself." Ami warned, giggling to herself.

"Alright. Hopefully that should buy us some time." She said, praying that the Nomu lost his scent. She stood up from the floor and stretched, looking at Hayato with her hand out.

"C'mon. Let's find somewhere to hide." Ami said. Hayato grabbed hold of her hand with his glove and smiled back at her, feeling safe.

"Uh huh." Hayato said, grinning at her. The two nodded and quickly ran down the dark hall, turning a corner and running straight into an object.

"Ow." Ami whined, rubbing her head. She opened her eyes and adjusted to the darkness, staring into the eyes of a machine.

"Woah." She blurted out, staring at the machine with Hayato.

"What the?" Ami questioned, walking around the machine. She placed her hand on the machine and inspected it. It was offline, obviously.

"It's a robot." Hayato stated, looking at the offline machine.

"Yeah, it is." Ami said, looking at its arms. She smirked at the machine in recognition.

"Not just any robot. These are the kind from UA." Ami pointed out, staring at the threepointer. Hayato let go of Ami's hand and touched the robot's treads, smiling at the machine.

"This is what Mr. Imiter told me to activate. The robots are the countermeasures!" Hayato exclaimed, raising his voice slightly.

"Hey, that's it!" Ami said, "If you can turn on all the robots, then maybe they can contain the Nomu-" Ami proposed.

"-And save the Museum!" Hayato exclaimed, jumping up in joy. He quickly took off his left glove and touched the robot, prompting Ami to quickly let go before she got zapped.

Systems rebooting…

Connecting to Museum…Connection Failed!

Checking Connection: Severe loss of power throughout structure!

All systems online…

The robot fluttered to life, turning its lights on and staring at the room. It scanned the environment and detected two heat signatures to its right, prompting it to rotate towards the heat signatures.

"Yes! It came on!" Hayato exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air.

"Attention, guests. It isn't safe here. Get to a Safe Zone immediately and await rescue." The robot ordered, clenching and unclenching its hands.

"You gotta help us. We're getting chased by a villain." Hayato said, looking at the robot's eyes.

"..." The robot looked at him and tilted its head in confusion.

"All guests must head to a Safe Zone immediately and await rescue." The robot repeated, making Hayato frown.

"Oh, no." He muttered, dropping his shoulders.

"What's wrong?" Ami asked, looking at the disappointed frown on his face. He looked at Ami and shook his head in defeat.

"He won't listen to us. We're just guests. We can't tell him what to do." He said, frowning. Ami looked at his frown and remembered what Imiter gave her, reaching for her pocket.

"Will this help?" Ami asked, pulling out the gold card. Hayato looked at the card and went wide eyed with joy.

"That's Mr. Imiter's Master Card! This is awesome, Ami. That means the robots have to listen to your command!" Hayato exclaimed.

"You mean, your command, Spark Plug." Ami corrected, handing Hayato the golden card. He grabbed the card and held it with both hands, feeling his heart burst with excitement. He looked at Ami with happy tears and nodded, turning to face the robot.

"Hey, robot. Look!" Hayato said, showing off the golden card. The robot looked at the card and scanned it with its lenses, recognizing its importance.

"Master Card identified. What are my orders?" The robot asked, making Hayato celebrate.

"Stay right there." He ordered.

"Affirmative." The robot complied, obeying his command. Hayato bolted down the hallway, running into more offline machines, Ami followed close behind and made sure the Nomu wasn't near. She stood beside Hayato and stared at the offline machines with a look of determination.

"We have to turn the other robots on." Ami said, solemnly. Hayato agreed wholeheartedly.

"On it!" Hayato exclaimed, taking his glove off. He took a deep breath and ran down the hall, slapping the machines as he ran by. The small interaction with his sparkling hand caused the machines to turn back on. The robots turned their heads and scanned their surroundings, looking at the child down the hall. He raised his hand up in the air, revealing the master card in his possession. The robots recognized the card and nodded, standing at attention.

"Are there any more down the hall?" Ami asked, approaching Hayato.

"No." Hayato replied, shaking his head. Ami's smile faltered slightly, hoping to have found more.

"These must be the only ones that made it out to the hallway." Hayato explained, making Ami curious.

"Where are the rest?" She asked, looking at him with a puzzled expression. Hayato nodded and ran down the next hall, entering the tour room. Ami stayed close and entered the tour room, recognizing the room. This was the first place in the Science Area that Ami saw on her tour with Backdraft. She looked to her left and saw the glass windows where Hayato planted his whole body. Hayato ran towards the windows and touched the glass, looking down with a smile.

"They're downstairs. In the factory. That's where they keep all the droids." Hayato explained, receiving a nod from Ami.

"How do we get down there?" She inquired.

"I know the way." Hayato said, turning back around. He returned to the hallway and approached a door to the side. He stood in front of it and pointed at the words on the door.

Staff Only

"It's through this door!" Hayato said, pushing the door open. Ami looked inside first and checked the place out.

"It's a separate staircase for the staff to get upstairs and downstairs without being seen." Hayato explained, Ami nodded her head at his explanation.

"Cool." She said, plainly.

"Grrrraoorrrr!" Ravage roared, echoing down the halls. Her roar immediately caught Ami and Hayato's attention, causing them to freeze. They turned their heads toward the tour rooms and went silent, hearing her claws scratch the floor. Hayato's heart sank into the floor upon hearing the monster, feeling his fear return.

"Ami…" Hayato whispered, feeling his voice crack. Ami placed her finger on her lips and shushed him. She cranked her eyes down the other hall where the robots were stationed and motioned for Hayato to sneak back. He understood her movements and felt his mouth drop slightly, nodding at her command. He looked down the empty hall and clenched his fists, swallowing his saliva. He slowly separated from Ami and snuck back down the hall.

Ami watched Hayato sneak away and controlled her shaking, glancing towards the tour rooms. Her hand was still holding open the push door. She continued to hear its footsteps as it walked closer and closer. forcing her to act fast. She looked at the door and slowly leaned her hand back, letting the door close at an incredibly slow speed.

She heard the door latch and let go, placing her hands to her sides and facing the tour rooms. She clenched her fists and stood firmly in place, activating her quirk. She stared at the entrance as flames entered her mouth, making her grit her teeth in anticipation.

Ravage sniffed the air and followed the smoke scent. She was still unable to differentiate between the girl and her target's scent, making her groan in annoyance. She looked to her right and noticed the glass windows, temporarily distracting herself. She walked up close to the glass and stared at her reflection, making her pause. She saw her exposed brain and creepy smile on her lips, making her flare her nostrils. She looked at her face from different angles and growled, not liking what she saw.

Clack. Clack. Clack.

She raised her tailblade up and shook her head. Her purple eyes glowed, activating her quirk. Her appearance disappeared from the glass, turning completely invisible. She turned away from the glass and stared at her exit, resuming her hunt. She entered the dark hall and sniffed the air, catching a scent. Down the hall was the girl in her vision, making her glare. She activated her quirk and noticed the heat in her throat, angering her immensely.

"Grrrr." Ravage snarled, causing Ami to raise her eyes in realization. The monster was in the room with her. She stared down the hall and opened her mouth, shooting flames out. She lit the floor up in flames between her and the Nomu, getting a reaction from it.

Ravage stared at the flames and hissed, smelling the burning air and smoke. Her eyes glowed a brighter purple as she stared at the girl through the flames. Ami could only see the Nomu's eyes through the smoke, staring at them directly.

She smirked at the monster, noticing its reaction towards her flames. She turned around and ran down the opposite hall, pissing off the Nomu. Ravage watched her run away through the flames and sunk her claws into the floor, making holes.

She looked at the fire and tilted her head, swiping at it with her claws. She kicked up smoke towards her direction, accidentally sniffing it. Her eyes watered as smoke entered her nostrils, forcing herself to gag. The feeling caused her great discomfort. The sound of the fire mixed with the poor air quality, started to mess up her senses. She shook her head in an attempt to get a grip of herself and remembered her orders. She recovered from the smell and hissed, stepping back and gaining some distance from the fire. She flared her nostrils and snarled, charging towards the flames. She leaped up in the air and flew above the flames, placing her claws on the wall and bouncing off them. She landed on her claws and shook her whole body, turning around and staring at the flames. She snickered in triumph. She was on the other side of the hall now. She sniffed the air and went down the hall, turning a corner.

"Hey, Monster!" Ami shouted, getting Ravage's attention. She looked down the hall and glared at the green haired hero, noticing someone was hiding behind her. She looked at the object and realized it was her target, making her growl.

Ami whistled loudly, bringing Ravage's attention back onto the girl. She looked at her in confusion, wondering why she was whistling. Her question was quickly solved when she heard movement from above. Ravage glanced up at the ceiling and saw several dozen red dots staring back at her. Her eyes went wide as she tilted her head in confusion. The sight of the machines caused her to step back in caution, utterly confused by their presence. They were online. That was impossible.

Hostile Presence Detected…

Weapons Online…

Safety Inhibitors Offline…

Defend the Guests…

The robots said in unison, dangling on the ceiling with weapons protruding out of their arms.

"Attack!" Hayato ordered, pointing at the Nomu with newfound confidence. The robots dropped from the ceiling and pounced on the Nomu, causing her to retreat around the corner. The robot's wheels turned, driving down the hall and turning the corner in pursuit. Ravage ran down the hall and immediately stopped, sliding on the floor. She skipped across the floor as she stared at the flames, remembering they were in her way. The robots entered the hall and beeped, getting Ravage's attention. They raised their arms up and spun their hands like drills, intimidating her. The droids approached her and forced her to take steps back, getting closer and closer to the flames. There was no space for her to perform another leap of faith. She had no other option but to fight the machines. She turned and faced the machines, charging at the first one she saw. She pounced on the machine, slamming it onto the floor. She sunk her claws into the machine's chest, tearing holes in its armor. The machine had no concept of pain and retaliated, stabbing its drill hands into the Nomu's belly.

Ravage roared out in pain as the drills entered her belly, rupturing an organ. She hissed and opened her mouth, biting into the machine's neck. She crushed the cables on the machine's neck and pulled them out, throwing them away. Electricity sparked out of the Machine's neck as the lights on its head turned off, shutting down from the attack. Its body went limp and the drills on its hands stopped turning. They fell out of her belly with blood pouring out of the wounds, angering Ravage.

She spit out the machine's wiring from her mouth and received a heavy punch to the face, knocking her off the dead machine. Three other machines quickly piled on top of her, holding her in place. She snarled and raised her tailblade upward, stabbing into the head of one of the machines. The machine sparked and shut off its lights, dying from the head wound. She swung its dead body into the fire, ripping its head off its body. She tried swinging her tail back-and-forth to yank the robot's head off her tailblade. Two more robots quickly rushed in and grabbed hold of her tail, forcing it onto the floor. The headless machine's corpse melted in the flames, leaking oil out of its body. It quickly reacted with the fire and ignited, creating a small explosion in the hall. Machine parts went flying everywhere, impacting the other machines as well as the Nomu.

Ami and Hayato ran around the corner and peeked their heads out, watching the fight. They saw the machines holding the Nomu on the ground as it desperately tried to escape. They looked at the damaged hall and noticed the fire was even larger. Ami frowned and noticed the door to the staircase was blocked by the fire.

"We have to get over there." Ami said, grabbing hold of Hayato's hand. She checked to make sure the Nomu was contained and gulped. She didn't want to bring Hayato this close to the Nomu, but she had no other choice.

"We're gonna have to run around them." Ami said, looking back at Hayato. Hayato frowned and understood her words, holding her hand tightly. She counted to zero and ran into the hall with Hayato close behind. Ravage watched them enter the hall and glared at them, snarling and hissing. She attempted to lunge at them but was quickly held back by the machines. The other machines circled around the Nomu, turning their hands into drills.

Ami and Hayato quickly walked past the fight and stood in front of the flames. Ami opened her mouth and inhaled the fire, letting it all fly into her mouth. The hallway was clear of flames, allowing them the chance to reach the door. Ami pushed the door open and let it hit the wall, leaning her whole body on it. Hayato quickly ran inside.

Ravage watched them go through the door in her peripheral vision and roared in rage. Her eyes glowed bright as she activated her quirk, letting her muscles expand. The robots stared at her in confusion, quickly getting overwhelmed with her increased size. She sank her claws into the floor and hissed, struggling to stand up. The other robots noticed her attempts to stand and quickly brought their hands onto her body, stabbing her repeatedly. She groaned and lifted her tail out of the robot's grip, swinging it around. She slammed her tailblade into the ground, breaking the head stuck to her tail. It shattered to pieces and freed her tailblade. She took that newfound freedom and retaliated, pushing a robot towards the wall and stabbing another in the neck. The blade pierced through its neck and slithered up into its head, cutting its cables and shutting off. She raised her front right paw out and grabbed hold of a robot's chest, sinking her claws into the armor and pushing it off her. She did the same with her front left paw, gripping onto two robots with her front paws. She pulled their drill hands off her body and clapped her paws together, slamming the robots into each other. They were crushed from the force of the impact, snapping in half and falling to the ground. Ravage flared her nostrils and stood up on her hind legs, glaring at the other robots that were stabbing her body. The other robot she pushed into the wall freed itself and rejoined the fight, jumping back on top of her tail. She raised her tail up and sent the robot up with it. She slammed the robot onto the ground, smashing its head in.

She looked at the remaining machines and counted them. Four left. She flared her nostrils and roared at them. The robots all stepped back and looked at each other, nodding their heads.

No Civilians in Sight…

Switching to Live Ammo…

They turned off their drill hands and changed weapons. Their hands twisted and changed, replacing its drills with weapons. Ravage stared at their hands and snarled, tensing up her muscles. She looked up at the ceiling and jumped. In seconds, bullets fired upon the position she was just in, bouncing off the floors. They looked up at the ceiling and watched her leap onto one of the robots. Ravage sunk her teeth into the robot's arm and pulled, making the robot accidentally fire upon another robot. The bullets made impact with the robot's head, creating a small explosion that killed the robot. It stopped firing and fell to the floor. Ravage swung her tail towards another robot, but the machine quickly swerved out of harm's way. It locked on the Nomu's tail and started firing, shooting the blade clean off. Ravage yelped at the pain from the bullets, glaring at the robot behind her with murderous intent. She pulled the robot arm in her mouth and separated it from the robot's body, throwing it to the side. The robot reversed and looked at its torn off arm. It raised its only arm towards her face, firing shots at her head. The bullets pierced Ravage's brain, causing her to yelp. She concentrated and rammed the one armed machine, placing both her hands on the robot's face. She squeezed the robot's head and crushed it with both claws, shattering into pieces. Two left.

The last two robots fired at her and put more holes into her stomach and lungs, cracking one of her ribs. She exhaled and grabbed hold of the dead robot, throwing it at the last two robots. They quickly ducked out of the way and continued firing, spraying more bullets into the Nomu. Ravage turned around and shielded her brain from the robot's gunfire, crouching down to the floor as the pain overwhelmed her. She closed her eyes and flared her nostrils, bearing through the gunfire. They continued to fire more bullets until their weapons overheated, forcing them to stop. Ravage noticed they stopped firing and quickly unshielded her face, lunging towards one of the robot's. She bit into the robot's head, crushing it with her teeth.

The last robot switched back to its drill hands and stabbed her neck and brain, causing her to let go of the robot's head. She fell to the floor in excruciating pain, kicking the robot with her hind legs. It hit the wall and made a dent, coming up unscathed by the kick. She charged at the robot and grabbed hold of its arms with her claws. She squeezed and pulled, snapping its arms clean off its body. The robot looked down at its chest and noticed its arms were missing. Ravage then threw its arms away and clawed at its legs, snapping them off in an instant. The limbless robot fell to the floor and stared at the bleeding Nomu with its emotionless red lights. Ravage stared at its red lights and figured that's how it could see. She flared her nostrils and unleashed her rage on the robot, clawing at its chest until its body was nothing but oil and shredded metal.

She finished her assault and grabbed the robot's head with her claws, throwing it onto the floor. She limped to her side and stomped on the head with her hind legs, venting on the dead machine. She only relaxed when she completely flattened the robot's head. She lowered her eyes and flared her nostrils, squinting her eyes in pain. She inhaled and exhaled repeatedly, licking her lips and retracting her claws.

"Mrrr…" She moaned, trembling slightly from her wounds. She coughed out several bullets and dropped to the floor. She wasn't built for ranged attacks like fire and bullets. Physical attacks were easier to handle. She exhaled and laid on her belly, letting the holes in her stomach from the drills close up. She closed her eyes and squirmed around as dozens of bullets flopped out of her body. She felt every bullet get pushed out of her due to her regeneration quirk. It was impossible to heal around them, so pushing them out was all her body could do. She grunted and listened to the clacking bullets as they hit the ground beneath her. She kept her eyes closed as she continued regenerating, letting her damaged brain fall into unconsciousness.

She was in that house again. She was on a soft bed, looking out the same window as before. She was in a room by herself. She couldn't identify the color of the walls. The door was half open, letting light from the hallway seep into the room. She heard footsteps running up the staircase in the hallway, perking her ears up.

Clack. Clack. Clack.

Her tailblade recovered and tapped the floor. The footsteps were from something small, but were very audible. She stared at the hallway through the door, spotting a shadow in the hallway. Then, she heard a girl's scream.

"Help!" A loud voice screamed out. Ravage squirmed around, feeling her body get wet. She was waking up, causing her dream to change locations. It was nighttime and she was lying on a roof. She narrowed her eyes and softened her breathing, producing the least amount of sound possible. She stared at an open window across the street with anticipation. Inside the window, she could see a light was on. An adult woman was lying on the bed, tucking in a smaller human in bed. Her target. She watched the woman stand up and head towards the door, turning the light off. Ravage narrowed her eyes and stayed still, watching the small human close their eyes in bed. She waited for an hour and made sure the target was asleep.

She flared her nostrils and stood up on all fours, activating her quirk. She stretched her limbs and decreased their size, making her move more stealthily. Looking at the roof across the street, she jumped forward and landed on top without making a sound. Keeping her movements to a minimum, she made her way towards the edge of the roof. She silently clawed at the wall and slowly leaned forward, entering the open window. She was inside, staring at the sleeping human. She licked her lips and sniffed the air, smelling oil in the room.

Wait? Oil? That wasn't right?

She opened her eyes and raised her head off the ground, standing up on all fours. She felt her claws make a splash sound on the floor as she woke up. Looking down, she stared at a pool of oil oozing towards her. She reared her head back in confusion and looked to the left, staring at the dead robots. Oil seeped out of every single one of the dead machines. She saw sparks coming off one of the severed robot heads and narrowed her eyes, watching the pool of oil ooze towards its direction. She raised her eyes with caution, sensing a chill go down her spine.

She quickly yelped and bolted down the hall, running toward the small door that her target ran into. She activated her quirk and decreased her size to a lion. The oil reached the sparking head, igniting in flames. The hallway instantly exploded, sending flames bursting towards Ravage. She rammed the small door and knocked it open, entering the stairway. She turned her head and kicked the door shut with her hind legs, watching as the explosion blasted the door. It nearly fell off its hinges as the force of the explosion shook the entire Science Area.

Ravage panted and groaned, rolling around on the cold concrete floor. The smell of oil interrupted her sleep, warning her of danger. She composed herself and shook her body, shaking away the oil on her skin. This hunt was starting to become less fun as it went along. She'd never been in a situation quite like this. All of her previous missions were completed stealthily. There were always a few scrapes and bruises but they were never enough to force her into sleep to regenerate. She started to wonder if this child was even worth it. She flared her nostrils and raised her eyes, feeling a sharp pain go through her brain. She shook her head and brushed the pain away, returning to her mission. No. She was too far into the mission to give up now. Her Master's orders were clear. She was going to complete the mission. Abduct the target and return him to Master.

She stood up on all fours and looked at her surroundings. She was in a cramped stairway that went upstairs and downstairs? But which way was her target going? Up? Down?

She snarled and sniffed the air, searching for his scent. She caught a whiff of the smoky scent, making her tilt her head in confusion. The scent was going upstairs and downstairs. Two different directions. She growled in frustration and sliced the wall with her tailblade to vent. They split up. One of them was her target and the other was that annoying greenette. She still couldn't differentiate their scents, annoying her even more.

She'd have to choose which one to go after and hope it was her target. She looked upstairs and snarled, taking off up the steps in a hurry.

Downstairs - A Couple Minutes Ago

Hayato opened the door and slammed it shut, turning around and staring at the door with sweat running down his forehead. He looked around the darkness and adjusted his eyes. There wasn't any light down here at all. He spread his arms and felt around the walls, touching a metal box. He opened the box and spotted a flashlight. He flicked the switch and noticed it wasn't turning on.

"Even the flashlights?" Hayato complained, keeping his voice down to a whisper. He pulled off his glove and made contact with the flashlight, forcing it to turn back on.

"Yes." He exclaimed, softly. He waved the flashlight around the dark room and looked around, slowly stepping forward. He listened to his heartbeat thump and steadied his breathing. He put on a brave face and swallowed his saliva, thinking of only good thoughts. Like escape, heroes, and Ami. He walked down the dark halls and spotted a robot, making him smile. He walked up to the robot and realized it was a worker bot. Looking around the room, he quickly realized he was in the factory. He looked up at the ceiling and spotted the glass windows looking down upon the factory. He smiled victoriously and took a deep breath, looking for the manager droid. He walked past several assembly lines with offline worker droids and approached a desk. He smiled when he saw the manager, lying on the floor offline.

He stood in front of the manager droid and took off his glove, staring at the sparks flying off his hand. If the manager comes back online, then maybe, it might be able to tell him what to do. He slowly reached his hand out towards the manager droid, not noticing the bright flash of light coming from the glass windows on the ceiling.

Boom!

Glass shattered above him. His whole body flinched as the walls began to shake from a large explosion upstairs. He felt his legs wobble from the shaking and balanced himself, recovering fast. He hid under the desk and shielded himself from the broken shards of glass raining down. He closed his eyes and laid in the fetal position. He didn't know what happened up there, but he hoped it slowed the monster down. He heard the monster's growls through the door leading to the staircase, making him gasp. The Nomu was in the stairway. He clenched his fists and gulped, looking around from under the desk. He stared at his hand and realized it was still sparkling. He crawled out of the desk and looked at the offline manager droid. He was inches away from slapping his hand on the machine, but hesitated. He froze up and heard the monster's footsteps head upstairs, making his eyes widen.

"Ami." He whispered, taking his hand away from the machine. He looked at the sparks flying off his hand and clenched his fist, watching his fingers glow a slight blue color. He needed to help her. Somehow.

A lightbulb turned on in his brain, giving him an idea. He smiled at himself, looking at the assembly lines. He stared at a hall to his left and bolted. He ran towards the hall and reached a door at the very end, leading to the hangar next door. He opened the door and closed it behind him, turning around and looking up in awe. Standing in front of him was the greatest, most awesomest machine he had ever seen. Rebecca.

Upstairs - Also A Couple Minutes Ago

Ami ran up the steps and ignored the second floor door, continuing to run up the stairs. She reached the third floor and ran towards the door, opening the door and stepping inside. She slammed the door shut and leaned on the door, taking a deep breath. She ran up three flights of stairs in a minute. Something she didn't think would happen to her for a second time today.

Ami looked around the dark hall, seeing nothing around her. It was like the whole hallway was still being renovated. Sighing, she gulped and focused on breathing properly, relaxing a bit.

"I'm safe." She thought, knowing the robots were still fighting the Nomu downstairs. At least she hoped they were. Hayato was downstairs and hopefully figuring out how to get everything online again.

She steadied her breathing and dropped to the floor, basking in the silence of the hall. Nothing in the room made a sound. She sniffled once and closed her eyes, clenching her fists into a tight ball. Tears fell from her eyes as she sat on the floor, making her frown.

"Backdraft. Wyvern." Ami whispered, dropping her head down to her knees. She wondered where they were in the city, hoping they were safe. She opened her eyes and placed her hands on her head in contemplation, taking her helmet off. She held it in her hands and stared at the front, reading the initials on her helmet.

"Flame Guard." Ami whispered, staring at her reflection in the helmet. She remembered the day she chose the name, presenting it to her class.

"Professional and approachable; I'm the Fire-Breathing Angel: Flame Guard!" Ami announced, receiving smiles from everyone in class. She remembered her friends' smiles, wondering where they were at that moment. Were they asleep? Were they watching this whole situation unfold on the news? She had no idea what time it was. Hayato still had her phone in his pocket. She placed her helmet on the floor beside her and wrapped her arms around her legs, thinking about Izuku.

"I could use your voice right now, Izzy." Ami whispered, sniffling a bit. She needed to hear some words of encouragement. She hoped that maybe Izuku was watching the news, completely safe. Maybe he was thinking about her, too. He might've even tried to call. She shook her head and frowned at the thought.

"What if he is calling?" Ami thought, causing her heartbeat to rise.

"And I can't answer him…He knows I'm in Hosu, so he must be worried sick." Ami thought, panicking more. She closed her eyes again and leaned her head on the door.

"I'm glad you're not here, Izuku…Even though I wish you were…" Ami whispered, wiping tears off her face. She wondered what he'd say to her about the situation she was in. She needed it more than ever. That resolve in his voice. The enthusiasm and excitement. Something that would hype her up. Or maybe she just didn't want to be alone right now.

"Alone…" Ami thought, frowning as she thought about Iida. She prayed he wasn't alone. She hoped he was somewhere with Manual and helping fight off the Nomu's. There were three attacking the city. And one was in here. Unless this one was the fourth?

"Do they even know about this one?" She questioned, making herself scoff at her own question, "What am I saying? Of course not." She frowned, looking at her helmet. She glanced at the door behind her with narrowed eyes.

"It's all your fault." Ami thought, thinking about the Nomu.

Boom

Just as she blamed the Nomu, her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a large explosion. She dropped her hands to the floor and flinched, feeling the whole floor shake. She stayed frozen with fear as the shaking stopped. She looked at her helmet on the floor and grabbed it, putting it back on her head. Her heart started to pound as the explosion rocked the whole floor, hearing lamps shake like it was an earthquake.

Behind the door, she heard the Nomu's growls echo through the stairway. Her eyes widened upon hearing the growls, feeling a chill go down her spine. She crawled away from the door as a million thoughts ran through her head. She didn't know what happened down there, but clearly, the Nomu was still alive. She stood up off the ground and stepped away from the door, leaning onto the opposite wall. She darted her eyes to the left and right, looking around the dark hall.

She narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists. She had thought this situation out. If the Nomu escaped the robots and tried to follow, she'd take advantage of its inability to track down Hayato. She went upstairs while Hayato went downstairs. Best case scenario, it tracks her scent going upstairs. Worst case scenario, it tracks Hayato's smoky scent and goes downstairs. Even then, if that happened, she would go back down and light the Nomu on fire again. This time with as much power she could muster.

She heard the Nomu make noise in the stairway, snapping her out of her thoughts. She heard its footprints run up the stairs, causing her to smile.

"Yes!" Ami thought, smiling at the fact it was going after her. She paused and went wide eyed. Wait? The best case scenario was it follows her? What about after that?

"Oh crap." She thought, hearing its footsteps get louder. It was running fast up the steps, making her heart rate speed up. She looked down the hall to her right and ran, running around a corner and spotting several doors. She opened one of them and stepped inside, shutting the door. She looked at the doorknob and noticed a lock was on it. She quickly locked it and turned around, staring at the room she just entered.

"Whoa…" She mumbled, letting her mouth drop. The dark room was large and filled with cables. It was a large film studio, making her realize where she was.

"This is the Film Section." Ami thought, remembering it was appointment only. She stepped forward and walked up a small staircase, entering the stage. She stood in the center stage and looked at the audience chairs. There were several rows of chairs looking down at the stage. She squinted her eyes and adjusted her vision, noticing the cameras in the far back. There were several big cameras scattered across the stage. Everything looked out of place. Like it was left there in a hurry.

"Everyone must have left when the emergency alert came on." She thought, turning around. She looked around the stage and noticed the film set. A chair in the center of the stage. A large rug sat on the floor with a coffee table in the middle. And surrounding the chair and rug were fences made of red brick. She raised her eyebrow at the setup with familiarity.

"I recognize this layout." Ami muttered, thinking of the past, "This is for that TV show me and Izzy used to watch all the time." Ami thought, getting caught up in her realization.

"They film Tales of the Quirked here…" Ami smiled, reminiscing about her childhood shows. She heard a door slam open in the distance, causing her to freeze. She forgot about the Nomu, making her panic.

She leaned over to the left and stared off the stage, looking at the door she arrived in. She heard footsteps approaching, followed by growls. She gasped and looked around, trying to find somewhere to hide. She frantically wandered around the stage, looking for a hiding spot but saw nothing. She stepped on the rug and heard a creak from the floor, causing her to stop moving. She listened to the sound and bounced, hearing the floor creak again. She looked down at the floor and saw a square indent on the floor. She pulled the rug up and saw a hatch, making her smile. She opened the hatch and went inside, shutting the hatch. Gravity pulled the rug back in place as the door closed.

Ravage sniffed the air, smelling the smoky scent through a door. She stared at the closed door and pushed it, flaring her nostrils. She rubbed against the door and tried to open it, but was stopped by the lock. Having dealt with enough delays for one day, she shrugged and rammed the door, sending it flying into the audience chairs. Ami heard the door fly off the hinge and covered her mouth, controlling her breathing.

Ravage entered the studio, sniffing the air in search of her target. He was in here. She snarled and looked around the studio, scanning her surroundings. She looked at the audience chairs and narrowed her eyes, letting drool fall off her lips. She scoffed and looked to the left, staring up at the stage. She jumped up onto the stage, making the whole set shake from her weight. Ami felt the Nomu's weight shake the set and kept still, closing her eyes.

Ravage looked around the stage, knocking over the brick fence and putting her front left paw on the coffee table. The pressure caused the table to buckle, almost immediately snapping its legs. Ravage felt the table snap and flinched, getting annoyed. She took her paw off the table and casually flicked it towards the audience chairs, knocking more of them down. Ami looked around the small crawl space and maneuvered around cables. She stared at several boxes and noticed they were smoke machines.

"So, that's where the smoke comes from when the narrator talks." Ami thought, shimmying around the crawl space. Ravage paced around the set with impatience, sniffing the air. He was here. Somewhere. She didn't know where.

Ami crawled silently towards the back of the crawl space and noticed another hatch. She kept quiet and slowly headed towards the second hatch, squeezing through another set of cables in her way. Unbeknownst to her, her axe pulled on one of the cables. As she crawled forward, the cable slipped off the plug and fell to the floor, making the tiniest possible clicking sound. Ami heard the clack and froze, going wide eyed. Ravage's ears perked up, hearing the sound from below her.

"Uh oh." Ami thought, hearing the Nomu's growls come to a stop.

Crash!

Ravage's tailblade pierced through the set, appearing inches away from Ami's face. She gasped and reeled back, hearing the Nomu roar.

"Grrrraooorrrr!" She roared, removing her tailblade off the floor. She looked at the hole on set and started to claw at the floor. She tore the floor tiles out in search of her target, licking her lips with anticipation. Making a big hole, she stuck her head inside and looked around. She gritted her teeth as she looked, turning her head around and making eye contact with Ami.

"Hi." She waved, smiling sadistically at the Nomu. Ravage quickly realized her disadvantage as Ami whistled, shooting a streak of fire through her lips. The streak of fire shot her in between the eyes, knocking her back slightly. She closed her eyes and snarled as the flames burned her eyes, temporarily blinding her. She roared out in pain and stood on her hind legs, taking her flaming head out of the hole. She frantically brushed her paws at the flames, trying to put them out. In her desperate attempt, she stepped back and slipped off the stage, causing her to fall backwards onto the audience chairs. Her back made an impact with the broken coffee table, flattening it instantly.

Ami crawled forward at fast speeds, no longer worried about staying quiet. She opened the second hatch and crawled out, standing up to her full height. She looked around backstage for the door, spotting it a few feet away. Ami ran towards the door with her fists clenched, getting Ravage's attention. She heard her loud footsteps and figured she was running towards the door she came from. She lifted her tail upward and stabbed a hole through the door she snapped off its hinges. She raised it upward and flicked her tail towards Ami's direction, sending it flying her way. Ami watched the door fly towards her and jumped out of the way, impacting the door frame. The door got stuck in the middle of the doorframe, giving Ami enough space to crawl under. She crouched down and exited the studio set, reentering the hallway.

Ravage roared and shook the flames off her head, opening her eyes slightly. Her regeneration kicked in, regaining her vision at just the right time. She watched Ami leave and groaned, launching towards the door. Ami bolted down the hallway, hearing footsteps behind her. She looked down the hall and rushed towards the door leading to the stairway. She ran inside and quickly rushed down the steps, keeping her breathing steady. She reached the first floor and stared at the damaged door in shock.

"That explosion did this?" Ami thought, hearing the Nomu upstairs. She looked up above her and could hear its footsteps on the staircase. She looked at the downstairs floor and thought about Hayato. She activated her quirk and shot flames into the bottom staircase, engulfing the whole downstairs in flames. She then grabbed the doorknob and opened the door to the first floor hall.

Ravage reached the first floor and looked downstairs at the flames. She hissed in frustration. Her target was down there. She groaned with rage. She had picked the wrong scent. Her head was full of negative thoughts towards the greenette. She was going to murder that annoying girl.

Ami entered the hallway and immediately started choking as she ran face first into smoke. She crouched down and looked around the hallway in shock. The entire hall was engulfed in flames, burning through the walls and sending smoke up into the ceiling. She coughed out more smoke and continued running down the hall, entering the tour room. She panted heavily in exhaustion but kept running, coughing out more smoke. She ran down the tunnel and reached the second tour room, hearing her heart pounding rapidly. She came to a stop and caught her breath, placing her hands on her knees in exhaustion.

"Grrrrr!" Ravage growled, catching Ami's attention. She turned around and stood up straight, glaring back at the Nomu with frustration. Ravage glared at her with pure rage, keeping her distance from her out of caution. She couldn't risk another direct assault without getting burned.

Ami panted heavily and looked at Nomu. It was watching her. Keeping her distance, fully aware of her abilities. She glared at the Nomu and scoffed, spreading her arms out.

"Well? What are you waiting for, Idiot? An invitation!?" Ami challenged, holding her breath.

Ravage heard her challenge and snarled, wanting nothing more than to see her entrails scattered across the floor. Ami clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, feeling her flames swirl within her mouth. They glared at each other with rage, ready to fight to the end. They tensed their muscles and started to charge at each other, letting out their battle cries. Ami charged after the Nomu with dangerous intent. She was going to slide under the Nomu's body as it leapt towards her and release all of the flames stored up in her body.

Ravage leapt into the air, releasing her claws out from her front paws. She was ready to kill her and she was going to enjoy it. However, in her peripheral vision, she spotted an object moving on her left.

SLAM

A colossal fist crashed through the window, forcing Ami to come to a complete stop. The fist made contact with Ravage, slamming her whole body into the wall. Ami looked at the colossal fist in awe, not expecting to be saved.

VVVRRRR VVVRRRR VRR

The Zeropointer honked, reeling its fist back. Ami looked at the broken windows to her right and was illuminated by a red glow. Eight red lights looked at her with an intimidating aura, lighting the whole room up with its eyes. Ami squinted her eyes and looked at the Zeropointer with surprise.

"Rebecca?" She questioned.

"Ami!" Hayato shouted, appearing on the large machine's shoulder. Ami's eyes bulged out of her face as she made eye contact with Hayato. He stood on the Zeropointer's shoulder with confidence. His cape flowed in the air like a true superhero, making Ami smile.

"Spark Plug, you did it!" Ami shouted, running up to the edge of the window.

"Put me down there." Hayato ordered, pointing at Ami. Rebecca nodded and stuck her hand out. Hayato jumped onto her hand and knocked on her hand. Rebecca understood and brought her hand up to the glass window. Hayato stood up on the Zeropointer's hand and smiled at Ami.

"Ami!" Hayato said, jumping off Rebecca's hand. Ami caught him in her arms and hugged him tightly, tears falling down her eyes. Hayato hugged Ami back with tears falling down his eyes.

"I can't believe you turned Rebecca online." Ami stated, looking at the Zeropointer through the window. She let go of Hayato and placed him on the ground. Hayato smirked and placed his hands on his hips with a smile.

"Ami, I'm a hero! A real superhero!" Hayato exclaimed, jumping up and down in accomplishment. Ami smiled and laughed at him with joy.

"Yes, you are, Spark Plug." Ami grinned.

"Mrr…" Ravage groaned, softly. Ami and Hayato both turned to look at the source of the groan, staring at the damaged wall. Ravage groaned and opened her eyes, looking around the room. She was stuck in the wall. Her ribs were completely shattered from the massive punch. She flinched and fell out of the wall, hitting the ground hard and hyperventilating. She coughed out blood as her quirk worked fast to fix her damaged lungs. Ami looked at the Nomu with shock and terror, wondering how it could still be alive.

Hayato looked at the Nomu on the floor and held onto Ami's leg out of fear.

Ravage lifted her head up and spotted Ami standing next to the window. Her eyes widened when she saw her target holding onto the girl's leg out of fear. Her target was right in front of her. She needed to complete the mission. She tensed her body and flexed her claws, slowly starting to stand back up. Her lungs were still healing, but she didn't care. She was going to finish the mission.

"Grrr." She growled, dripping blood out of her lips. She limped towards Ami and Hayato with determination, refusing to give up. Hayato frowned and started to panic, causing him to look at Rebecca through the window. He swallowed his saliva and opened his mouth, yelling out the window.

"Rebecca!" He screamed, getting the Zeropointer's attention. Rebecca heard the screams through her speakers and raised her head up. She stared at the room her master was in and saw the hostile in her scanners. She was heading towards her master. Rebecca ran diagnostics and did a weapons check, confirming that all her functions were back online.

Inside the room, Ravage was once again a foot away from reaching her target. Ami kept Hayato behind her and narrowed her eyes, ready to fight. Ravage narrowed her eyes and hissed, getting into position and pouncing at Ami.

SLAM

The Zeropointer slammed its fist downward on Ravage's body, crushing her chest in an instant. The impact broke all the bones in her body and snapped her neck. Ami stared at Ravage's destroyed body and gasped, quickly covering Hayato's eyes from the gruesome sight.

Ravage looked out the window dazed and confused, seeing through only one eye. Her right eye was sticking out of her socket. She made eye contact with the Zeropointer and grunted. Damn. She forgot about the big robot.

Rebecca scooped up Ravage's body into her hand and pulled her out of the room, Ami and Hayato watched as Rebecca threw her clear across the three football field-sized hangar with extreme force. Ravage smacked into the hangar wall, bouncing off it with a loud thud. She landed just in front of the wall, breaking her limbs upon impact. Rebecca's emotionless red eyes stared at the broken Nomu's body and pointed its fist at her.

Weapons Online…

Commencing Launch…

Rebecca aimed down sights and activated her best weapon, firing a single missile from her shoulder. Ami saw the missile and only had seconds to react. She gasped and grabbed Hayato, pulling him away from the window. She jumped away with Hayato in her arms, shielding him from the incoming explosion. Ravage stared at the colossal machine and watched a missile fly towards her, causing her to weakly snarl. The missile made impact with the wall above her, blowing up the hangar with a loud rumble. In the tour room, Ami gritted her teeth and closed her eyes while Hayato did the same.

BOOM

Hosu City Streets

Boom

The explosion erupted out the side of the Museum, flinging debris into the air and sending it tumbling down the hill. In the distance, the explosion caught the attention of several heroes within the city. The heroes stared up at the hill, letting their mouths drop in surprise.

"I thought we got them all?" The hero asked, watching the explosion.

"How many are there?" Another hero questioned, observing the blast.

Backdraft and Wyvern stood in the center of the street with several heroes in front of them. Endeavor, Gran Torino, and three students stared at the Museum in surprise. Native felt his stomach churn at the sight of the explosion, recognizing the location.

"That's…" He gasped, losing his voice.

"The Museum!" Backdraft gasped, feeling a chill go down his spine. He felt his body turn cold at the disturbing sight, lowering his eyebrow with anxiety. That couldn't be right? Something was wrong. Horribly wrong!

"Ami…" Backdraft stuttered, getting the attention of the students.

Wyvern lifted his goggles off his face and stared at the Museum's tower with shock. His stoicness was replaced by a look of genuine surprise. The tower's emergency lights didn't come on. None of its lights were on. Only the orange glow from the flames allowed the heroes to see the Museum. Fuego appeared through the extra fabric on Wyvern's shoulder and peeked his head out of the hood, staring at the smoke trail. Fuego's eyes narrowed at the smoke, making him hiss in anger.

"Tatsu." Fuego growled.

"I see it." Wyvern replied, narrowing his eyes. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. There was trouble at the Museum.

"We have to go! Now!" Fuego said, raising his voice. Wyvern nodded and flared his nostrils, looking up at the rooftops of the nearby buildings. He was the first to start moving again, heading towards a building. Backdraft watched Wyvern run and snapped out of his shock, looking at the stoic hero with confusion.

"Wyvern, wait! Where are you going!" Backdraft yelled, getting his attention. Wyvern scoffed and shook his head, refusing to slow down.

"To the roof!" Wyvern replied, putting on his goggles. He entered the building and searched for the staircase, finding it in seconds. Izuku snapped out of his shock and watched Wyvern enter the building, raising his hand out.

"Hey, wait!" Izuku shouted, limping towards the building. He gritted his teeth and winced in pain, feeling his foot lose balance. He was still exhausted from the fight with the Hero Killer. He started to fall to the floor, scaring everyone. A volley of water rushed towards him, engulfing his body in water except for his head. The water grabbed hold of him, preventing him from falling hard on the cement. He stared at the water in alarm, quickly realizing who it belonged to. He turned his head and looked down the street, making eye contact with Backdraft. He activated his quirk and caught Izuku before he could hit the ground.

"Ami…" Izuku groaned, feeling weak. He turned his head towards the distant Museum and frowned. Ami was in there for her internship. If Backdraft was here, then she must be in there. He felt tears fall down his eyes. His sister was in danger. She needed him. But the fight with Stain was too draining. He had no fight left in him.

"Please be safe, Ami. Please." Izuku pleaded, feeling his body land gently on the cement. He felt the water let go of his body and cringed, struggling to crawl. He used his arms to pull his body forward onto the sidewalk, refusing to give up.

"That's enough, Midoriya." Backdraft ordered, appearing above Izuku. Izuku stopped moving and cranked his head to the left, making eye contact with Backdraft with tears in his eyes.

"Backdraft…" Izuku whimpered, squinting his eyes at the water hero.

"Ami…Is Ami in there?" Izuku asked, hoping Ami wasn't in danger. Backdraft lowered his eye and slumped his shoulders in sympathy. He formed hands out of his pipe arms and took off his helmet, showing visible remorse.

"I'm sorry, Izuku." Backdraft apologized, looking down at his helmet in shame. Izuku gritted his teeth and tried to crawl forward, but barely moved an inch.

"W-we have to save her. We have to…" Izuku stammered, crawling his body forward. Backdraft crouched down and stood on one knee, placing his pipe on top of Izuku's back.

"No, Midoriya. You're not in any condition to fight." Backdraft said, holding him in place. Izuku winced and struggled to move, eventually giving up and panting in exhaustion. Backdraft lowered his eye, staring at Izuku with sympathy.

"You have to rest. Wyvern will help her." Backdraft said, assuring him of her safety. Izuku heard the hero's name and glanced back at the water hero in confusion.

"W-Wyvern?" Izuku repeated, recognizing the name. His mind temporarily focused on their phone call from two nights ago.

"Yeah. This guy. He's the other delay. He was actually sitting next to Backdraft at the Sports Festival." Ami explained, getting Izuku's curiosity.

"What's his name?" Izuku asked.

"Wyvern. Ever heard of him?" Ami answered, confusing Izuku. He had never heard of a hero named Wyvern before. He snapped back to the present as he remembered how Ami described him.

"That's right." Backdraft nodded. Izuku stared at the building in front of him and frowned.

"B-but how will he get there?" Izuku questioned, receiving a solemn nod from Backdraft. He looked up at the building's roof and nodded.

"With Fuego." He said.

The Roof

Wyvern opened the door with a powerful kick, sending it swinging outward. He narrowed his eyes and entered the roof, standing on top and getting a clear view of the Museum. He could see the smoke coming out of the building's right and grimaced, clenching his fists. He had to get over there as fast as possible.

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, listening to Fuego's growls.

"I hope you're not tired." He mumbled, making Fuego scoff and flare his nostrils.

"Are you kidding me?" He questioned, getting a chuckle out of Wyvern.

"It was rhetorical." Wyvern grinned for just a second. He stared at the Museum in the center of his vision and stretched his limbs, hearing his bones crack.

"Just relax and let me do the work." Fuego said, receiving a nod from the stoic hero.

"Right." Wyvern said, looking at the Museum. The Museum's lights were off, making him scoff.

"The powers off in the Museum. That must be why she never called." Wyvern theorized, scoffing in shame. He couldn't believe he didn't notice, "We need to get over there right now." He stated, hearing Fuego nod in agreement.

"You ready, Tatsu?" Fuego asked, causing Wyvern to put his goggles over his eyes.

"I'm ready." He stated, feeling his body weight change. He clenched his fists and dropped to his knees as flames crawled out of his neck. He bent down and gritted his teeth, placing his hands on the ground. Fuego's flames covered Wyvern's arms. His flames crawled around his chest, circling around his legs. His flames bursted outward, covering Wyvern's face.

"Full Body Wyvern!" Wyvern shouted, feeling his hands and legs lift off the ground. The flames around his arms and legs doubled in size, taking shape. The fire on his legs extended outward, forming into two reptilian shaped legs with claws. The flames on his arms extended outward, taking the form of flaming red wings. Wyvern floated within Fuego's chest as his head began to take shape. He opened his eyes and snarled, letting his jaws take form. He gritted his teeth and roared out at the sky. He turned around and watched his tail take shape, swinging left-and-right.

"All good back here, Fuego." Wyvern said, holding a thumbs up. Fuego looked at his chest and spotted Wyvern floating comfortably within, flaring his nostrils in amusement. He looked up at the dark Museum in the center of his vision, narrowing his eyes. He extended his wings outward and flapped them upward, lifting his whole body into the sky. He roared and flapped his wings, flying past the street below in seconds. The heroes in the street stared at the giant flaming wyvern soaring above them in awe.

"What was that?" Endeavor said, looking up at the sky in surprise.

"That's Wyvern." Backdraft said, watching Fuego fly towards the Museum.

Quirk Museum - Science Area

Smoke covered the entire hangar, destroying all visibility inside. Up in the window, Ami opened her eyes and looked around the room. Thankfully, the missile hadn't damaged the room they were in. She looked to her side and saw Hayato on the floor with her, keeping his eyes closed. She leaned over towards him and grabbed his shoulder.

"Hey, Hayato. Are you okay?" Ami asked, looking at him with concern. Hayato opened his eyes and stared at Ami with an uncertain smile.

"Is it over?" Hayato asked. Ami looked outside the glass window and saw a cloud of smoke. The smoke seeped its way into the tour room, causing Ami to wipe the air with her hand. She couldn't see anything in the hangar through the smoke. She frowned and shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm not sure." Ami replied, flapping the smoke away from them. She took several deep breaths and stood back up. Hayato stood up with her and stared out the window.

"I can't believe Rebecca fired a missile inside the building…" Ami stated, staring at the smoke. She still couldn't see Rebecca through the smoke. Hayato looked at the smoke and frowned, feeling responsible for Rebecca's missile use.

"Sorry. I told her to take out the monster, but I guess I should've been more clear about how." Hayato apologized, making Ami shrug. She was happy the blast didn't reach them through the window.

"Don't worry about it. C'mon, let's get out of here." Ami said, holding onto Hayato's hand. Hayato stared at Ami's hand and made sure his glove wouldn't slip off, not wanting to cause more trouble. The two of them entered the hall and were forced to stop, smelling the smoke in the hall. They held in their breaths as they entered the hall, seeing a large smile engulfing most of the hallway. The oil from the robot's had caused a chain reaction of explosions on the floor, damaging the floor. Ami frowned at the sight of the large fire. The staircase for staff was caught in the middle of the fire, making her narrow her eyes.

"I have to clear the way." Ami thought, looking at the flames with determination. She got in front of Hayato and activated her quirk, preparing to inhale the fire. That is until she felt a tug on her leg, causing her to look back at Hayato.

"What is it?" Ami whispered, noticing his nervousness.

"If we go back through the tour rooms, we can enter the Hero Area through the other doors." Hayato suggested, pointing at where they came from. Ami listened to his suggestion and thought about his idea, glancing at the flames behind her. She lowered her eyes and shrugged, deactivating her quirk.

"I can't waste any time. I have to get Hayato out of here." Ami thought, looking back at Hayato with a nod.

"All right, let's get going." Ami said, running side-by-side with Hayato. She kept him close as they ran through the tour rooms. She looked out the hangar window as they ran by, seeing nothing through the plume of smoke. Heading further down the tour rooms, they reached another dark hall that led to large doors.

Hangar Floor

"Mrr…" Ravage whimpered, gurgling her blood. She flared her nostrils and took several faint breaths. She just took an entire explosion and lived. The damage was extensive. She couldn't feel anything on her body. She tried to lift her head up but was stopped by the feeling of bones cracking. Her neck was still snapped, paralyzing her from the neck down. She didn't want to look at her body anyway, she already knew it was charred beyond recognition.

The smoke started to dissipate in the room, exiting out of a large hole on the hangar wall. Ravage looked around the room and saw flames scattered all across the ground. Her mind was in a haze. Her brain was heavily damaged from the missile attack and she could only see through one eye.

She stared up at the hole on the hangar wall and saw the outside world. She could see the night sky. She could see the stars. In the center of the night sky stood a bright object. The Moon. She breathed more faintly and kept her eye glued to the Moon. She didn't understand why she was so fixated on the Moon. She didn't understand anything anymore. Nothing was making sense at the moment. She couldn't even remember what her mission was. She felt her breathing get slower and slower, confusing her.

Was this it? Was this how she dies? Surrounded by the thing she hated the most? She looked at the flames scattered across the hangar floor and whimpered, feeling uncomfortable. She hated fire. She looked back up at the Moon and ignored the flames, feeling comfort just by staring at the lunar surface.

Lunar. Something about that word made her feel different. It was strange. What did it mean to her? Why was it so hard to understand? She snapped out of her confused mind and felt her vision blur. It was getting hard to keep her eye open. It was getting hard to breathe as well. She closed her eye and flared her nostrils for the last time. This really was it for her. Dying in a burning building…

"I love you…" A little girl's voice echoed through her head, confusing Ravage. Who was that voice? She'd heard it before in her last dream. Why was she hearing it now? Was it because of all the damage to her brain throughout this whole mission? She didn't know anymore. She kept her eye closed as her grasp of reality slipped away.

Rebecca stared at Ravage from across the room, never losing sight of her despite the smoke. She scanned Nomu's body and checked her vitals, observing her heart beat come to a stop. She turned off her scanners and disengaged her weapons system. Her connection to the Museum was offline, preventing her from wirelessly charging. She was running on battery power and the missile took a lot of it.

She looked around the hangar and stared at all the flames and debris. The use of a single missile caused a hole to appear on the wall that led to the outside world. The smoke moved out of the hole and floated up to the sky, giving her more visibility. She scanned the hangar and engaged her extinguishers. She sprayed the hangar with flame suppressants on her fingers, extinguishing the flames in seconds.

Rebecca finished extinguishing the flames and disengaged her extinguishers, turning around and looking up at the tour room window. Hayato Ishida was gone. Her orders were complete. What would she do now?

Scrape

Rebecca heard the sound and froze, listening to the sound of light footsteps scurrying away. She raised her head up and turned around, staring at the hangar floor. Her sensors did a double take at what she saw. Nothing. There was nothing on the hangar floor except debris. Ravage's body was gone.

Hero Area - First Floor

Ami swung open the doors to the Hero Area. Hayato ran inside while Ami held the door open, panting in exhaustion. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her, placing her hands on her knees to catch her breath. Hayato did the same and stared at the floor. They ran through three different hallways to get here without any rest.

Ami steadied her breathing and composed herself while Hayato took a rest. She listened to the silence and stared out at the dark hall of the Hero Area. She heard nothing, making her gulp in relief. If that thing was truly dead then that meant they were safe. All they had to do was get out of the Museum and find the closest hero.

"The doors to the plaza are over there." Hayato said, quickly recovering from exhaustion. He pointed down the dark hall and received a nod from Ami.

"Let's go." Ami ordered, walking down the hall. Hayato followed close behind her, listening to the silence with a suspicious feeling. Several thoughts ran through his head, making him squirm in discomfort. His mind recalled what Ami said earlier.

"Everything turned off. Why did everything turn off?" Hayato questioned, hoping Ami had the answer.

"I don't know… It must be because of the Nomu." Ami said, confusing Hayato. Hayato remembered her words and frowned, staring at the dark ceiling with anxiety. The lights were still off, unnerving him immensely.

"Ami…" Hayato stuttered, getting her attention. Ami slowed down and looked at Hayato, noticing his discomfort. She frowned and placed a hand on his right shoulder, feeling his body tremble with anxiety.

"What's the matter?" She asked, trying to keep him composed.

"The lights…they're still off…" Hayato pointed out, making Ami frown in agreement. She looked up at the ceiling with Hayato and stared at the ceiling lamps.

"He's right." Ami thought, keeping it to herself, "But what does that mean?" She wondered. The Nomu's quirk was what messed with the power, so, why was it still disabled? Could it mean that the Nomu might still be alive? Ami frowned at the thought, not wanting to scare Hayato even more.

"Don't worry about it. The heroes will arrive soon and then we'll be safe." Ami mentioned, getting Hayato to calm down slightly.

"Do you think they heard the explosion?" Hayato asked, looking up at Ami. Ami smiled at him in assurance, nodding her head at the question.

"I'm sure of it." Ami said, smiling solemnly at him. Hayato looked at Ami's smile and felt safe, making him gulp. He smiled back at her and nodded, feeling better. They ran down the hall and turned a corner, unaware of the doors to the Science Area slowly opening.

They ran down the dark halls and turned another corner, reaching doors that led to an exhibit room. Ami pushed the doors open and entered inside with Hayato closeby. They stood at the doors and paused, letting their eyes adjust to the dark room.

"The Hall of Heroes." Ami said, recognizing the large room. Hayato smiled at the familiar place and aimed his eyes towards the doors at the opposite side of the room.

"There. That's the way to the lobby." Hayato pointed, sprinting forward. Ami looked at the opposite end of the room and quickly chased after Hayato.

Creak

Ami heard the doors opening behind her and got goosebumps, cranking her neck back at the door. She stared at the doors they just came from with shrunken eyes, gasping lightly. A large metal object was flying towards them, causing her to panic.

"Hayato, look out!" Ami shouted, leaping towards Hayato. She grabbed hold of his cape and fell to the floor, ripping it off him. The sudden action caused Hayato to trip and fall, hitting the ground with his elbows in surprise.

Bang

The metal trash can slammed into the doors in front of him, causing Hayato to flinch and grit his teeth in fear. He was almost hit by that trash can. He heard growling and froze, gulping loudly. His eyes went wide in realization, feeling his whole body shake uncontrollably. He started hyperventilating as he turned his head to the right, staring across the room.

"Grrr…" Ravage growled, appearing visible. Blood was still pouring out of her body, dampening her fur. Ami let go of Hayato's cape and rolled around, staring at the monster with her back on the floor. She stared at the Nomu and gasped in disbelief. The Nomu was still alive!

"How?" Ami thought, looking on in disbelief. There were several tiny holes in its body, spurting out blood. Some of the holes were starting to close up as she stared at the Nomu. She glanced at the Nomu's face and saw its brain was still slightly charred from her flames, making her wonder how it was still capable of moving. Her limbs were stained with her own blood, keeping her from turning invisible with her quirk. Ami looked at the Nomu's backside and saw her tail was still missing.

"It's not healed yet." Ami thought, narrowing her eyes at the creature. Ravage stepped forward with a limp, letting the door behind her shut itself. She glared at Ami with her glowing purple eyes in rage. Her full strength had yet to return. Everything in her body was telling her to sleep and regenerate, but she denied it. No more Robots. No more running. Her mind was focused on the two people in front of her. In her current state, she didn't even remember what her mission was. All she had in her head was revenge.

Hayato froze with fear, shaking uncontrollably. The monster was alive, staring at him with death in its eyes. He shook with fear, feeling his whole body go numb.

"How?" He thought, staring at the monster's glowing eyes with questions racing around his head. How was it still alive? How was it still moving? Why was it so determined to get him? What was it going to take to make the monster go away?

He heard another growl from the creature, startling him out of his thoughts. He was scared. Too scared to even move. His eyes started to water as he clenched his fists in terror, still shaking profusely.

"Hayato. Run!" Ami shouted, standing back up. She clenched her fists and activated her quirk. Ravage glared at her and felt his eyes glow brighter, activating her quirk. Her vision changed, allowing her to see the heat rising through the girl's chest. The heat rose up through her neck and into her mouth, causing Ravage to snarl.

She opened her mouth and released her flamethrower at the Nomu, causing it to duck underneath the flames. It stared up at the fire as it hovered above her damaged body, feeling the warmth of the flames. The doors behind her melted from the stress of the heat. It only had a nanosecond to move before the girl would lower her flames. She leapt across the room to her left and avoided the flames as it burned her last position. She was putting everything she had in dodging, knocking over display signs. She sprinted towards Ami and dodged her barrage of flames.

Ami watched the Nomu run closer towards her at incredible speeds, causing her eyes to widen as she continued to unleash her flames into the room. Still shooting her flames, she placed her hand on her axe and tried to unholster it, but Ravage was faster. The Nomu leapt towards her and raised its right paw upward, smacking her whole body away. Ami was flung across the room with her mouth still open, lighting up the whole room in flames. Before she could deactivate her quirk and scream, she slammed through a glass display and landed on a hero costume.

"Ami!" Hayato shouted, letting out a pained scream. He stared at Ami's body in the glass display and felt his heart beating rapidly in fear. He heard a growl and stared at what was right in front of him. He gasped and went quiet, freezing up with fear. Ravage approached the boy and sniffed the air, smelling his smoky scent.

Her brain slowly recovered back to its normal shape, hearing her master's voice in her head. That's right. Her orders. She snarled and stepped forward, approaching the boy with drool coming out of her lips. Finally, the boy was in her grasp. She made eye contact with the child as she leaned closer towards him, staring into his fear-stricken eyes.

"Go away." Hayato squeaked, watching the Nomu's face lean forward. The Monster stood a foot away from him, staring down at him with drool coming out of its lips. Hayato laid frozen on the ground and got in a fetal position, keeping his eyes on the monster.

"Please…" Hayato pleaded, watching the monster raise its right paw upwards. He stared at the paw and closed his eyes, waiting for it to grab him.

Yank

Ravage's eyes bulged out, feeling an object wrap around her throat. Hayato stared at the monster with wide eyes, watching it reel back in surprise. Ravage stepped back and rubbed her neck with her paw. She felt the object wrap tighter around her neck and started to choke, unable to grab it. She turned her head to the left and stared at the room with surprise. Ami was pulling on her whip with gritted teeth, keeping the monster from grabbing her target. Ravage stared at the girl in surprise. She flared her nostrils and reeled back, trying to pull the whip off her throat. The attempt proved useless as her strength had not yet returned. Ravage groaned in frustration. She didn't put enough force in her smack to knock the girl unconscious. She looked around the room and noticed the flames all over the place. She was so focused on grabbing her target that she didn't notice the flames had masked the girl's scent again.

"I won't let you grab him!" Ami shouted, holding the monster back. Ravage glared at her and raised her tail upward. At least, that's what she thought she did. Her tail was still a small stump on her backside, making her growl. The regeneration was focused on healing her insides first. She roared and stood up, sitting on her hind legs. Ami's feet skidded across the ground as the monster raised its height, pulling her closer. She gritted her teeth and pulled even harder on her whip.

"Hayato, run!" Ami shouted, getting his attention. Hayato stared at Ami and frowned, gulping nervously. She was holding the monster back with just her whip. He unclenched his fists and turned around, putting his hands on the floor. He looked at the broken trashcan in front of him and crawled, scooting around it. He crawled towards the doors and stared at them with hope. The exit was right there. He took a deep breath, smelling the smoke in the room. He clenched his jaw and slowly stood up, putting his hands on the push doors. He heard the doors clank and turned his head towards the floor. He frowned at the sight of his cape on the floor, getting distracted. He looked at his shoulders and saw where Ami had ripped it off him, making him glance towards her.

He watched as the Monster stood on its hind legs and fell backwards, causing Ami to jump out of its way. It landed on the ground and flailed its arms around, trying to grab hold of the whip. It rolled to its side and grabbed the whip, yanking Ami to the ground. Hayato's eyes widened with fear, watching as it roared at Ami with rage. His fear slowly receded, replacing itself with a different emotion. He looked at the monster and narrowed his eyes, getting an idea. Ami needed him.

Ami landed on the ground and gasped, feeling the Nomu grip her whip with its paw. She squeezed the whip and released her claws, tearing through the whip and snapping it in half. Ami stared at her broken whip and frowned, looking back up at the Nomu. She stared at the other half of the whip around the Nomu's neck and noticed it was loosening up. She gritted her teeth and flared her nostrils in defiance.

"No." She grunted, standing up and jumping onto Ravage's back. She placed her arms around its neck and pulled on the whip, continuing to choke the Nomu. Ravage felt the girl on her back and felt the broken whip squeeze her neck, causing her eyes to bulge out for a second time. Ravage jumped around the room, knocking over glass displays and sending them flying into the burning flames hugging the walls. A shield fell out of one of the displays, landing nearby.

Ami held on with all of her strength, keeping her jaw clenched shut with determination. Ravage circled around the middle of the room, trying her best to shake Ami off her back. She stared at the open space and flared her nostrils, standing back on her hind legs. Ami frowned as she knew what the Nomu had planned. She quickly tied her whip around Ravage's neck and jumped off before it fell to the floor, rolling around. Ravage slammed into the ground, sensing Ami was off her back. On the ground, Ami brought her hand over to her axe and successfully unholstered it, pulling it off the straps. She immediately stood up with the axe in her hand, however, Ravage had already recovered from her bodyslam. She rolled towards Ami and roared, standing up with her paw raised. Ravage glared at Ami's back and released her claws, swiping at her back.

Rip

"Gah!" She screamed, feeling its claws rip through her jacket and skintight suit. She held onto the grip of her axe as hard as she could, falling back onto the floor. Blood oozed out of her exposed backside, causing her to cry. Ami gritted her teeth and tried to compose herself despite the excruciating pain on her back.

"Damnit." She thought, holding in her pain. Ravage placed her claw on the ground and charged after Ami, ready to strike a second time. Ami looked around her surroundings and saw a shield on the floor. She quickly grabbed it with her left hand and turned around, wincing in pain. Ravage's claws impacted the shield, denting it from the force of her attack. She glared at the shield and snarled, sinking her claws into the shield. Ami could see her claws start to poke through the shield, making her frown. She flared her nostrils and activated her quirk, releasing a blast of flame into the Nomu's face.

Ravage closed her eyes and shielded them from the flames, stepping back in frustration. Ami glared at Ravage and roared, jumping back on the Nomu's body.

Ami's mind was in a frenzy. She panted heavily and swung her axe into the Nomu's neck, causing it to roar in pain.

"What will it take to kill you?" Ami thought, pulling her axe out of its neck and swinging it back in. Ravage's limbs buckled from the pain, forcing her to fall back on the floor.

"Ami!" Hayato shouted, getting her attention. Ami turned her head around and made eye contact with Hayato with wide eyes.

"Hayato? I told you to run!" She scolded, keeping her glare up as she stared at him. Hayato frowned and gulped.

"I'm sorry..." He said, clenching his fists. Ami looked at his hands and noticed they were exposed. She looked at them with shock as sparks of electricity were shooting through his hands. Both of his gloves were off and on the floor. Ami looked at Hayato with wide eyes, thinking back to their conversation.

"I didn't always need to wear gloves. A few years ago, my quirk started to mess up." Hayato explained.

My quirk…it targets…the Quirk Factor." He said.

"So, when you touch someone, it hurts them, right?" Ami asked.

"Mhm." Hayato replied, "Since I can't control the voltage anymore, I'm already hurting them a ton just by touching them. It's only after I touch them longer than two seconds that their quirk starts to activate." Hayato explained, causing Ami's eyes to widen.

"Their quirk starts to activate…" Ami repeated, looking down at the Nomu, "but, what about multiple quirks at once?" She thought, flaring her nostrils with determination.

She looked back down at the Nomu's neck and saw her whip was still wrapped around it. She swung her axe into Ravage's neck and let go of it, grabbing hold of her broken whip. Ravage let out a whimper from the pain coming from her bleeding neck. Holding on, she looked at Hayato with a serious expression.

"Spark Plug! Your quirk! You have to use it!" Ami shouted, catching Hayato by surprise.

"What?" He questioned, noticing she was still doing her best to hold on to the Nomu.

"But…But…You're still-" Hayato whimpered, getting interrupted.

"I know, but it's the only way. You have to trust me! Please, Spark Plug! Do it!" Ami shouted, pulling the whip tightly around its neck.

Hayato ran around towards the Nomu's back and stared at his hands. He watched as the Nomu started to stand back up, forcing Ami to fire a blast of flame into its brain. The burst of fire impacted Ravage, causing her mind to scramble. She fell back onto the floor with exhaustion, feeling overwhelmed. Her senses were all over the place. She needed to get up. She needed to kill the girl. She needed to grab the child.

Hayato frowned and unclenched his fists, staring at the Nomu with a solemn expression. Ami told him to do it. He had to do it. It was the only thing he could do to stop the monster. He glared at the monster and watched as it turned its face over to his side, opening its eyes. Ravage made eye contact with the child and tilted her head in confusion, staring at the fearless expression on his face. She looked at his hands and saw sparks flying off his fingers, causing her whole body to shiver.

Hayato charged at Ravage and made contact with her back, feeling his quirk enter her body. Time slowed down for Ami and Ravage as Hayato's hands made contact with the creature's body. Ami stared down at Hayato and watched the electricity surge through Ravage's body, beginning the electrocution. Ami braced herself as the electricity surged through Ravage and climbed onto her body. She closed her eyes and felt peace for only a nanosecond, hearing the world around her go silent. All she could hear was her rapidly beating heartbeat, followed by a quiet rumbling vibration that oscillated.

Ravage roared in pain as electricity surged through her body, electrocuting her innards. Ami screamed out in pain as the electricity shocked her insides. The electricity entered both of their mouths and worked fast, reaching further and further down their insides in search of their targets.

Ami kept her eyes glued shut as her brain felt like it was bursting into flames. This pain she felt was beyond anything she ever experienced. She could barely think of anything through the pain as Kaminari's quirk entered her mind. This was worse than his 1.3 million volts. At least a hundred times worse. Hayato closed his eyes and listened to the screams with tears falling down his face. He looked down at the floor and kept his hands on Ravage's body, waiting for the worst part to begin.

Within her body, the electricity swirled around her throat and traveled down, entering her flame organ. She felt the vibrations overpower her own beating heart and flinched, sensing her Quirk Factor go into overdrive. She screamed even louder as the electricity reached its target, scorching her body's quirk factor with its powerful volts. Her organ began to oscillate louder and rapidly expand. It overexpanded within her body, instantly forcing it past her limitations. She opened her eyes and couldn't see anything as an orange glow from her mouth lit up her own face.

Hayato watched with fear as Ami's quirk was forcibly activated. She continued to scream as plasma fired out of her mouth, reaching the ceiling in an instant. The beam of light impacted the ceiling, burning through it in seconds. The beam tore a massive hole through the ceiling, entering the second floor. The beam stayed strong and bursted through the second floor, entering the third floor. It blasted through the third floor and tore a hole into the fourth floor. It made short work of the fourth floor and bursted through the final fifth floor, easily tearing through the roof. The beam of light burst through the Museum's roof, reaching high into the sky.

Ami couldn't see anything in the real world. Her life flashed before her eyes as the electricity damaged her quirk factor. Everything around her started to get dark, causing her hands to let go of the whip around Ravage's neck. She slid off Ravage's body as the electricity continued to surge. The plasma beam fell to the side as she dropped to the floor, burning through several floors and damaging them immensely. When she landed on the floor, her plasma beam burned a hole through the wall before shutting off. She was no longer physically touching Ravage, freeing her from the electrocution.

Ravage took the full brunt of the electrocution, feeling her whole body shake profusely. The electricity caused her eyes to burst into flame as her quirk factor started to react. Her limbs expanded outward, avoiding Hayato as he continued to shock her. Her invisibility fluctuated, turning off-and-on despite still being wet from her own blood. Her brain sent pulses through her body, causing her regeneration to go out of control, forcing it to heal things halfway or close up parts of her body that weren't meant to close. Flames covered her eyes and brain as they melted from the electrocution. The activation of all her quirks caused her body to give up entirely. She snarled and choked on blood as foam seeped out of her lips. Images of the past came rushing into her damaged mind. She saw things from her dreams again. Things she didn't understand.

Hayato let go of Ravage and panted in exhaustion, falling onto the floor with sweat pouring down his face. The electrocution stopped, making the pain Ravage felt go away. She fell to the floor and squirmed weakly, completely blind. Her sense of smell was obliterated. She couldn't see, hear, or smell anything. She whimpered in pain as sparks flew out of her mouth. Hayato stepped back and watched the Nomu's limbs retract back to its normal size. It flared its charred nostrils and awkwardly stood up, gasping out a large plume of smoke from its mouth. It took several steps back before losing its balance. Hayato watched the Nomu fall to the floor and frowned. He looked in front of him and went wide eyed, staring at Ami's body in the center of the room.

"Ami!" Hayato shouted, crawling up to her side.

Lobby

Fuego roared in the sky, circling above the Museum. He dived down and flapped his wings on the lawn, making eye contact with Nashorn's body.

"Nas!" Fuego roared, landing on the front lawn. Fuego's body collapsed in on himself, swirling back into the Wyvern's neck. Wyvern touched the ground and lifted up his goggles, running up towards the unconscious giant with concern.

"Nas." He exclaimed, rushing towards his face. He stared at the wounds on his back and cringed. He got close to Nashorn and checked his neck for a sign of life. He sighed in relief when he felt a pulse.

"He's still alive." Wyvern said, hearing footsteps running up the hill. He returned to his stoic face and tensed up, turning around with fists clenched. He looked at the road and saw Thane running towards him in exhaustion, causing him to raise an eyebrow.

"Thane?" Wyvern questioned, unclenching his fists. Thane made eye contact with Wyvern and sighed, wiping sweat off his forehead.

"Master Wyvern!" Thane hollered, running up to the stoic hero.

"Thane, what are you doing here?" Wyvern questioned, noticing how exhausted he was from running up the hill.

"I swore to his parents that I would protect Master Ishida. I saw what was happening on the news and tried to call the Museum, but I didn't get a reply. So, I drove here. However, the limo turned off before I could even enter the front gate." Thane explained.

"Where's Master Ishida?" Thane questioned, focusing back on his mission. Wyvern shook his head and turned around, looking at the broken glass entrance.

"He must be inside." Wyvern said, making Thane frown.

"Master Ishida!" Thane shouted, running past Wyvern.

"Hey, wait! It's not safe." Wyvern exclaimed, chasing after the old butler. Thane ran towards the glass entrance and gasped in shock, surveying the damage.

"Good grief…" Thane whispered, stepping on shards of broken glass. He entered the lobby and looked around, followed by Wyvern. The stoic hero looked at him with a glare, grabbing hold of his shoulder.

"Stay here!" Wyvern ordered, looking at Thane.

"Master Wyvern, look!" Thane said, pointing at the door to the Safe Zone. Wyvern glanced at his finger and saw a figure lying on the floor, getting his attention. He faced its direction and raised his eyes, letting his jaw drop.

"Old man!" Wyvern exclaimed, letting go of Thane. He ran around the broken kiosk and fell on his knees beside Imiter. He reached his hands out towards him and paused, noticing his condition. There was blood all over the floor beneath him, making Wyvern frown. He noticed a bandage cloth was wrapped around his shoulder, soaking up blood. There was a bloody poncho wrapped around his stomach held in place with his belt.

"T-Tatsu?" Imiter whispered, slowly opening his eyes half-open. Wyvern watched Imiter's eyes slowly open and dropped his hands to his side.

"I'm here." Wyvern said, keeping a frown on his face.

"A-Ami. Hayato. T-They're in danger…" Imiter whispered, closing his eyes again.

"Just relax, Imiter. You're gonna be okay." Wyvern said, assuring Imiter and himself.

"I'll find them. Just take it easy and don't move. You lost a lot of blood." Wyvern warned, standing back up. Imiter nodded slowly in confirmation.

"Save them, Wyvern." Imiter whispered, falling back into unconsciousness.

Boom

The building shook all around them, causing Wyvern and Thane to flinch. They stared up at the ceiling and balanced themselves. They heard a loud oscillating blast shake the entire building. Staring up at the glass roof, they saw a beam of light burst out of the Museum and head into the sky, making their jaws drop.

At that moment, they heard a loud monstrous roar echo across the Museum followed by a loud soul crushing scream.

Seconds later, the beam of light swerved downward, reentering the Museum. Wyvern and Thane watched the beam of light disappear and felt the shaking stop, causing them to look at each other in confusion.

"That came from the Hero Area." Wyvern said, receiving a nod from Thane. They both rushed towards the Hero Area without saying a word, understanding that they needed to get there as soon as possible.

Hero Area

"Ami! Ami!" Hayato yelled, tugging her shoulder with his hands. He sniffled and cried, trying to shake her back into consciousness.

"I did it. I used my quirk." He squeaked out, desperately shaking Ami's arm.

"I'm sorry…I hurt you, too. I'm so sorry…" Hayato cried, shaking Ami's body.

Several feet away, Ravage felt her whole body ache in pain. She slowly flared her charred nostrils and felt nothing anymore. Her sight was gone. Her hearing was busted. Her smell was absent. She was powerless. She squirmed around and felt her surroundings. Her sense of touch was still intact, but it didn't matter. She could feel her body losing strength again. She laid on the ground and whimpered loudly, getting Hayato's attention. He looked at the Nomu with fear and watched it pant heavily. His eyes softened when he noticed it's breathing get slower and slower. It was clear to him that the monster was dying.

Ravage rolled to her side, feeling a vibration through her body. Was that her heartbeat? She felt the vibration and calmed down, letting it soothe her soul. It was the only thing she could do. Her mission was a failure. She was finished. Despite her loss of hearing, she heard a bell ringing in her head. She listened to the ringing as her heart stopped beating, slumping her head to the side.

Hayato watched the Nomu's head fall to the floor and gulped, realizing it was dead. He looked back down at Ami and struggled to smile.

"Ami. The monster…I-I think it's dead…" Hayato said, feeling intense relief. Sparks zipped out of her mouth as she laid on the floor, unconscious. Hayato saw the sparks and flinched, unsure of what to do. He looked around the room and stared at the flames, feeling sweat fall down his face. He looked up at the ceiling in awe, staring at the night sky through the massive hole in the ceiling. He couldn't believe Ami was hiding such a power behind her flames. He thought she was just a firebreather, not whatever that beam was. He gulped nervously and continued to tug Ami's arm in an attempt to wake her up.

"Ami. Wake up. Please." Hayato pleaded, smelling the smoke in the air.

Ravage listened to the ringing bell, seeing light enter her vision. She opened her eyes and lifted her head up in confusion. The environment was different. The room was smaller, but bigger. No. She was smaller! She stood up on all fours, staring at her surroundings. The floor was tiled and felt cold to the touch. She released her claws and felt them touch the floor, to her surprise, they didn't damage the tile. She was too small to scratch the tile with just her weight. She looked at her tiny paws in confusion, feeling a strange sense of dejavu. This place looked familiar.

A giggle in the distance made her flinch. She looked around the room and stared at a machine attached to the wall. It was warm and metallic. There was a cup on it with steam coming out of a hole, making her tilt her head in confusion.

"Hahaha." A little girl laughed, making Ravage flinch again. She heard the laugh echo through the room, getting her full attention. That laugh. It sounded like that girl in her dreams. She scanned her surroundings and wandered out of the room, stepping foot onto a carpet. She stared down a hallway and saw a staircase leading to the second floor.

She crept up the steps, hearing her giggle from upstairs. Ravage heard the sound and purred, feeling a strange happy sensation. She didn't feel any danger as she approached the sound. It was weird. Instead of being cautious, she happily searched for the sound without any fear or hesitation.

She stood in the upstairs hallway, spotting several rooms. She listened to the source of the giggling and perked her ears up, turning her eyes towards a slightly opened door. She tilted her head in confusion, recognizing the half-open door. That was in her dreams, too. She stepped forward and purred, entering the room. She looked around the room and saw none of the lights were on. The only source of light came from the open window. Ravage stared at the window with curiosity. In the center of the night sky was the Moon. The glow of the Moon illuminated the room, letting her eyes adjust. She waved her tail around and stared at an empty bed.

That was the bed she laid on in her dreams. Everything in the room was from her dreams.

"Hehe." A little girl giggled, lightly. Ravage heard the giggle and stared at the source, seeing the closet. The closet door was half-open, shrouded in darkness. Ravage heard the giggle from inside and lowered her body, sneaking over to the closet in silence. She approached the closet door and peeked her head inside, using her weight to crack the door open.

Slowly, the light entered the closet. Ravage looked inside and saw a figure hiding inside. Her face was clouded in darkness despite the light in the room. Ravage looked at her in confusion, spotting a large smile on her lips.

"You found me!" She exclaimed, reaching her hands out to her. Ravage looked at the hands and reeled back, failing to evade them in time. She was picked up by the girl and heard her giggling softly. She relaxed in her grip, purring in response. This girl wasn't a threat. She was different.

"I knew you'd find me,-" she giggled, confusing Ravage. Her voice suddenly went mute at the last word. What? What did she say? Her vision blurred slightly, feeling the girl's hands let go of her body. She fell to the floor on all fours, staring at the ground. She smelled smoke and flinched, making her hair stick up. In an instant, her surroundings began to change.

She hissed at the man staring at her through the glass. She didn't like him. The man dressed in black. He stared at her through a strange bulky mask, confusing her. He simply watched her as the man in white drained the water out of her tank. She crawled into a ball and hissed at them, glaring her eyes at the man in black. Her hissing wasn't very effective, instead it made the man in white smile.

"I told you she'd survive the surgery!" The man in white smirked, clasping his hands together in celebration.

Clack. Clack. Clack.

"Yes. You did." The man in black said, making her skin crawl. She heard her tail make contact with the floor and flinched in confusion. She turned her head and stared at her backside, making eye contact with her tail. It was completely black and looked like bone. It was nothing like the tail she had before. She noticed there was a small blade on the tip of her new tail, tilting her head in curiosity. She saw her reflection on the blade as she swirled it around. Looking at the blade, she spotted the man in black in the reflection of her blade. She narrowed her eyes and pointed the blade at him, lunging it towards his throat.

In an instant, his hand gripped her tail and held on tightly. She hissed as the man lifted her up with her new bony tail, taking swipes at him with her claws but failing to reach him. She was still too small.

"Aren't you a fighter?" The man smirked through the mask, "You're perfect." He said, chuckling menacingly. Flashes of random images flooded her mind as she stared at her reflection through the man's black mask. Images of death and destruction filled her with dread. As the images flashed, so did the pain from those memories. Her body was poked, prodded, and stabbed by all sorts of needles and heavy machinery. She bared through the pain and felt tears fall down her eyes. When the surgeries stopped, she stared at herself through a mirror. She couldn't recognize herself anymore. Her brain was exposed on her head. Her lips were permanently twisted into a creepy smile, sending chills down her spine. She saw a light blind her panicked eyes as she woke up, returning to the real world. She opened her eyes and sneezed, spewing blood out of her nose.

Hayato heard the monster sneeze, causing him to gasp. He stopped shaking Ami and froze, staring up at the Nomu several feet away. Ravage squirmed and flared her nostrils, regaining her sense of smell. She flinched at the smell of smoke, causing Hayato to frown.

"Ami! Ami! Get up, please! The Nomu. It's still awake!" Hayato exclaimed, shaking Ami's body. The room burned with smoke filling the air, causing the boy to cough. His cough didn't stop him from trying to wake Ami up.

From further away, the Nomu laid still on the floor. She tensed her body and felt her injured parts begin to heal up. The electricity circulating through her brain confused her, sending her mind into a frenzy. The smoke in the air and the smell of flames burning in the room gave her discomfort, causing her to writhe on the floor. Slowly, her quirk regenerated her missing eyeballs, restoring her sight. She blinked a few times and painfully lifted her head a little, staring at the flames with blurred vision.

For the first time in a long time, she felt fear. The blurry flames sent her into a panic, causing her body to shake with fright. No. Not again. It was at that moment that she heard tears coming from 20 feet away. She flinched and slowly turned her head towards the source of the crying.

She clenched her paws and felt her sharp claws slide out. There he was. Her target for abduction. The moment was perfect. Her biggest obstacle was unconscious, now she could fulfill her orders and take him. She tried to move and stand up, but her body was still too weak. She slid on the ground and fell back to the floor with a thud, getting the boy's attention. He stopped what he was doing and stared at the Nomu, making eye contact with it again. He felt his body tremble with fear at the sight of the monster. He gulped and sobbed, pushing even harder on Ami's body.

"Ami! Ami! It's moving! Wake up! Please!" Hayato urged, trying his hardest. Ravage let out a painful growl from her recovering injuries, feeling her strength slowly come back. Hayato heard the growl and didn't stop, pushing himself to keep trying.

"Ami! I'm- I'm sorry! I used my quirk like you said, but I-I ended up hurting you! It's my fault you can't move. This is all my fault!" Hayato cried, looking around the burning room. The air in the room steadily decreased, making it harder for him to breathe. He stared back at the Nomu and frowned, feeling his body freeze up. He looked back down at Ami and poured out all of his tears, no longer shaking her body.

"I'm sorry, A-Ami…" Hayato cried, bringing his head down to her chest. He closed his eyes and held onto her, clinging tightly onto her body.

"I couldn't do it! I couldn't stop the monster! I couldn't stop it from hurting you! I couldn't stop my quirk from hurting you! I'm terrible! I'm not a hero! I'll- I'll never be a hero!" Hayato cried, his voice became muffled as he cried on her body. He cried and cried, feeling her warmth.

"I-I can't breathe anymore, Ami. A-And I don't think we'll m-make it! I-I think this is it. I'm s-so s-sorry." He apologized, keeping his eyes closed.

"Thank you, A-Ami. For believing in me! I'm h-happy. Happy to have me-met you!" Hayato cried, holding onto Ami. Ravage stared at the scene unfolding in front of her and stared at Hayato with a stunned expression. For some reason, she couldn't move. Even though her strength had returned. She could easily grab him. Pull him off her body and leave. Yet, she couldn't.

"Mrrr…" She groaned, wondering what was happening to her. Why was she hesitating? No. Why was she defying her orders? Why? Why? Why? Then she heard the boy speak up again, bringing her to silence.

"A-atleast I-I'm with you…Ami. A-and you're w-with me. I-I'll protect you f-from the flames! Forgive me, Ami…Forgive me…" He choked, coughing harshly into her chest. Ravage stared at the boy and listened to his words, triggering a memory within her. She began to shake, feeling the grotesque smile on her lips start to crack. A frown formed on her lips as she began to cry from her eyes. She blinked her eyes rapidly, hearing the world around her get quiet. As she blinked, Hayato and Ami's bodies changed. The whole room changed design, becoming smaller and smaller. Until it was the size of a living room. The floor, walls, even the furniture, matched with the house she dreamed of before. She heard the little girl's voice in her head again, causing her to close her eyes. It was different from before. She could see it. She could see the little girl. She remembered her. She remembered everything.

A Long, Long Time Ago

It was dark here. She didn't know where she was or why she was in here. What is here? All she remembered was getting shoved into a dark place by some woman. There were little holes inside that allowed her to breathe. At least she had that going. It was cramped inside. All that kept her warm here was a blanket. She didn't have food or water, either. What was the point of being here? The closet was way more spacious. She heard the woman's voice through the box, getting her attention.

"Looks like Santa left a little surprise for you." The woman said, sounding happy and cheerful. That was when she heard another voice. A voice that sounded younger than the woman. A happy voice.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Open it and find out." Another voice said. It was a male's voice. She'd never heard him before. She heard little footsteps running around the box, scaring her slightly. It was dark. She didn't understand what was going on outside. Then she felt the box begin to shake followed by the woman's voice.

"Careful. Don't shake it too hard." She warned. That seemed to have done the trick. The box was no longer shaking. Still for extra caution, she hid herself under the blanket and listened to the noises.

"Open it, Sweetie." The woman said in an excited tone. The box began to shake again. This time it was only at the top. She heard wrapping paper get torn off and felt a light shake from whatever was holding it.

"There's holes!" The younger voice said.

"Open it! Open it!" The male voice said, encouraging her. She stared up at the top of the box, seeing light shine through the cracks. Slowly, the box opened up at the top, sending light into the box. She adjusted to the light in an instant. She kept hidden underneath her blanket and watched as a face peeked inside. She made eye contact with a young girl, taking note of her facial features. She was young with brown hair and a happy, innocent smile. The girl let out a gasp and started to cry.

"Merry Christmas, Sweetheart." The woman said.

"It's a kitten!" The young girl squeaked, gently picking up the kitten. She saw her hands reach down to grab her and felt cautious. Who was this girl? She felt the girl's hands wrap around her body and gently pick her up, taking her out of that box. The blanket she hid underneath fell off her body, leaving her exposed.

She stared at the environment around her. The room was warm thanks to a fireplace. And there was a tree with lights sparkling everywhere. Sitting on a couch were two people. One was the woman responsible for putting her in that box. The other was a man, holding onto a camera with a smile. She turned her attention back to the young girl holding her up in the air. Tears were falling down the girl's eyes as she looked into hers. She stared at the girl and noticed her tears, tilting her head in confusion. Was she crying over her?

"Hi!" The girl said, softly. Holding her close to her heart. She was still a little bit weary, but that all changed when she felt the girl petting her back. Her rhythm soothed her, making her relax and start purring. She felt safe in her arms.

"Does she have a name?" The girl asked, looking at the adults. She watched the girl stare at the older woman on the couch and noticed her nod.

"The owners named her Luna. Because of her black fur. All her brothers and sisters were born with white fur. Except for her." The older woman answered. The girl smiled, turning her head and looking into her eyes.

"Luna." She repeated, staring into her eyes.

"But, we can change her name if that's what you-" The older woman said.

"No. I love it." The girl smiled, holding Luna in her arms.

"Hi, Luna. You're so cute. I love her. This is the best Christmas present ever! I'm gonna take such good care of you." The girl said, hugging her gently. Luna listened to her words and purred. She didn't understand them, but she could hear the sincerity. She wagged her tail slightly and rubbed her head on the girl's arms, getting comfortable.

Days turned to months, months turned to years. The young girl she met that Christmas day had fulfilled her promise. She kept good care of her and loved her with all of her heart. She wasn't a kitten anymore. Now she was a full grown house cat, staring out at the window perched on the couch. Every day with her was full of joy. She stared out the window and waited for her to come home from school, greeting her at the door.

"Luna!" She exclaimed, running straight towards her with a smile. She immediately pulled her into a hug. Luna felt her warmth and didn't get angry, snuggling with her instead. She learned and listened to everything she said. Even though she couldn't speak back or understand what she was saying most of the time.

The girl laid on her stomach with legs in the air. She was on the floor, holding onto a blue crayon. Luna stared at the paper she was coloring and purred, watching her finish drawing. She let go of the blue crayon and held her drawing up with both hands.

"Look, Luna. It's you!" She smiled, showing off her drawing to her.

"Meow." Luna purred, swinging her tail around. She stared at the colorful drawing and saw herself. Standing next to her was the girl. The drawing had their names written above their heads.

Ayame and Luna.

Luna loved the drawing, standing up and rubbing her face on Ayame's face. She giggled and let go of the drawing, petting Luna in return. Luna purred in comfort. She was happy to be near her, remembering her name. Her name was Ayame. And she was everything to her.

Night

"Goodnight, Luna." Ayame whispered, keeping warm in her bed. The room was always cold around night. It was so cold that Ayame would let her sleep in bed with her. She tucked her under the covers and snuggled up with her, listening to her purring before falling asleep. That was their night time ritual. Even when it wasn't cold at night anymore, Ayame would let her sleep with her.

Luna stared out the window in her bed. There was a full moon outside, bathing the room in its light. She stared at the Moon in silence, amazed by its heavenly glow. Life was good, then one day…

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

"Mom! Dad!" Ayame screamed, coughing up smoke. Ayame was startled by the sound of a loud explosion downstairs. The boom shook everything in her room, knocking all her drawers and shelves to the floor. She tried to run downstairs, but she couldn't see anything through the fire slowly heading upstairs. She quickly returned to her room and desperately looked around for an escape route. She thought about the window and ran towards it, getting stopped by her bookshelf. She grabbed onto the bookshelf and attempted to lift it, trying with all of her strength to move it. But it didn't work. The bookshelf was too heavy to move and too awkwardly positioned for her to get a better angle. She gave up trying and cried out in distress, wishing for her mom and dad to come save her.

"Mom! Dad!" Ayame screamed, hearing no response. The flames quickly reached upstairs, sending smoke into her room.

"Mrowr!" Luna meowed, running into the room in a hurry. Ayame lunged towards Luna and shouted out her name.

"Luna!" She yelled, picking up the cat and wrapping her arms around her body.

"It's okay." Ayame said, acting brave. She tightly held onto Luna with tears streaming down her eyes.

"Mom and Dad will find us soon. Then we'll be safe again." She assured the black cat, gently stroking her fur. Despite the air quality getting increasingly worse and worse, holding Luna in her arms had helped calm her down. She sniffled and coughed, looking at the hallway through her bedroom door. The flames had reached the entrance to her door, there was no escaping through the hallway now. Ayame quickly slammed her door shut and laid down on the messy floor, holding onto Luna.

"Luna. Stay close to me." Ayame urged, holding her tightly. Luna didn't move or break away from Ayame's arms. She was already in the safest place she could think of. In her Ayame's arms. She watched Ayame begin to cough more and more. She also felt the negative effects of the smoke, feeling overheated. Inhaling the smoke also made her gag.

"Mrrr…" Luna groaned.

"It's so hot, Luna!" Ayame whined, feeling sweat drip from her forehead. She could hear the roar of the flames getting bigger outside. The smoke quickly blocked out all the light from the window, leaving her trapped in her room with nothing but the glow of flames lighting the place. The heat inside the room was becoming unbearable for the girl, feeling her throat dry up. At this point, shouting would only hurt her throat even more. But in her situation she had to do something.

"Mom! Dad! Help!" Ayame screamed, putting strain on her throat. She inhaled more smoke and coughed profusely, dropping Luna on the floor. She held onto her throat and coughed, closing her eyes in misery.

"It's getting h-hard to breathe…" Ayame said, talking in a harsh whisper.

"Mrr." Luna meowed, snuggling up to her. Ayame looked down at Luna with a frown. Luna was clearly affected by the smoke.

"I can't hear them, Luna! But, I know they're downstairs. We'll be saved soon." Ayame whimpered, petting Luna's back.

"Until th-then…I'll ke-keep you safe…" Ayame smiled, squinting her eyes.

"I'm so scared, Luna…A-atleast I-I'm with you... A-and you're w-with me. I-I'll protect you f-from the flames, Luna." Ayame said, wrapping her arms around her body again.

"D-dad always said…that big people s-should always h-help the small people." She whispered, shaking intensely.

"Mrr?" Luna purred, snuggling with Ayame. Ayame kept stroking her fur, feeling the water in her body evaporate. The heat had wiped out her tears.

"S-so th-that's what I'll do. I'll p-protect you, Luna. You're a good girl, Luna. I love you so much…I love you…" Ayame said, feeling her eyes get heavy. The house started to creak and groan, overpowering the flames' volume. She could hear cracks above her, the ceiling was ripping apart.

BOOOM

She heard an explosion, followed by silence. She breathed slowly, unable to see anything. There was smoke and darkness everywhere. She couldn't move, either. Ayame's grip kept her firmly in place.

Her ears perked at the sound of movement. She could hear it above her, scaring her slightly. She could hear it digging through the rubble above, causing her to remain frozen in place. Suddenly, a light shined on her face. It was the sun, shining on her and her Ayame. A figure stood in front of the sun, staring down at the floor in shock.

"We've got a body! Two!" The firefighter shouted.

"It's the girl! She's holding onto the cat!" Another firefighter shouted. Before she could react, she felt Ayame's arms get pulled away from her. Another pair of hands grabbed hold of her, making her flinch and shiver with fear.

Weeks Later

Cars drove by the road at fast speeds. Ravage stared at the cars as they zoomed by, shivering profusely. She was in a box. A small box with no blanket. Rain poured into the box, making her fur wet. She was cold. For days, she sat inside the box. Too afraid to move anywhere. She felt safe inside the wet box.

More cars passed by her on the road, making her eyes blink open. A truck had driven by, making her box vibrate from the car's rumbling. She looked at the outside world and trembled with fear. This was far different compared to the house she lived in. She missed home. She missed her Ayame. Even her parents.

Eventually, a car door caught her attention. She opened her eyes and stared at a parked car on her side of the road. She crawled back into her box and remained hidden, shaking profusely. She saw a figure approach her box, causing her to form a defensive stance. She narrowed her eyes out of fear and started to hiss.

"Hello there." A man dressed in white said, staring into the box. Ravage stared at him and hissed, getting a bad feeling. The man was middle aged with a bald head and big glasses.

"Look at you, you poor thing." The man said, sticking his hand in the box. Ravage stared at the hand and hissed, swiping her claw towards him.

"There. There. I won't hurt you. I'm a doctor." The man said. Ravage didn't understand his words, but calmed down with the tone in his voice. The doctor smiled at him and slowly stuck his hand back in the box.

"That's it. That's it. C'mon." The doctor said, making contact. He gently petted her head, making her relax. It's been so long since she felt a hand touch her body. She hadn't felt this feeling since her Ayame.

"Look at you. Out here in the cold. Starving and shivering. It doesn't have to be that way." The doctor said, grabbing the cat in his arms. Ravage looked around in confusion, staring at the doctor with caution. The doctor noticed her caution and scratched her neck, making her purr in acceptance.

"Yeeeees. Good kitty. I'll take good care of you." The doctor said, scratching her neck. He ruffled her fur and noticed something hard on her neck.

"Is that a collar? What's your name?" He asked, looking at the collar.

"Luna?" The doctor repeated, reading the name on the collar. Luna stared at him with curiosity, tilting her head at the mention of her name. The doctor looked at her curious eyes and smiled.

"Let's go back to my car, Luna. I'll keep you safe from the world." The doctor said, keeping Luna warm in his arms. He opened his trunk and pulled out a blanket, wrapping it comfortably around Luna's body. She felt the blanket warm her body and relaxed. The doctor closed his trunk and took her to his car, stepping into the vehicle.

Somewhere Dark

Her memory lapsed at that moment. Time had zoomed by quickly. She didn't know how long she was down here in the lab. She didn't know where she was. She didn't know why she was floating in a water tank, hooked up to all kinds of cables. An oxygen mask covered her face and tubes shoved down her throat kept her fed. Her fur was permanently wet from the water. She always hated baths. She heard the doctor's voice in the room, getting her attention.

She looked through the glass and saw the doctor standing in front of a body on the table. She squinted her eyes and examined the man's features. He was dead, obviously. The doctor was cutting into something on the lower half of the man's body, confusing her.

"Thank you, Mr. Nakamura. Your donation will not be wasted." The doctor said, turning his head towards the water tank.

"Get ready, Luna. It's almost time for your surgery." The doctor said, laughing disturbingly. Luna heard the doctor and flinched, getting a bad feeling inside the tube.

Sometime Later

"No. Bad kitty! Bad, Luna." The doctor exclaimed, staring at Luna. She had lunged her tail at his master. Thankfully, he avoided the attack and grabbed hold of the cat by her newly given tail.

"I am so sorry, Master." He apologized, clapping his hands together in repentance.

"Not to worry, Doctor. She could never hurt me." The man said, menacingly.

"So, this is the one?"

"Yes, she's shown remarkable results, Master. As you can see, Mr. Nakamura's tail was successfully attached to her body. And it works!" The doctor exclaimed, clapping his hands with a proud smile.

"I think she's ready. Ready for her to receive your gifts." The doctor said.

"Very well." The masked man said, looking at the doctor with curiosity, "What's this one's name?" He asked.

"Luna, Sir. That's what was on her collar when I found her." The doctor explained, making the masked man laugh.

"Luna? Not very intimidating, wouldn't you agree?" The masked man said.

"Her name is the last remnant of an old life she can no longer return to. The creation I intend for her to become would benefit well with a new name." The masked man said, confusing the doctor.

"A new name?" The doctor questioned, receiving silence, "I mean, yes, Sir. But, what would her new name be?" He nodded, coughing slightly. The masked man pondered the question, staring at the cat in his grasp. She struggled to swipe at the man, hissing in aggression. She was still upside down, making her extremely uncomfortable. The masked man stared at her behavior and smiled through his mask.

"Do you know the wonderful thing about cats, Doctor?"

"Everywhere they go, they succeed. No matter what part of the world you live in, a cat will certainly be there. They're excellent at keeping silent and stalking their prey. And when faced with another apex predator, they don't back down easily. Cats are smart, adaptable, and most of all, ravenous." The masked man said, hatching an idea in his head.

"Ravage." The masked man said, "That shall be her new name." He declared.

Later

Ravage laid on a roof, staring at an open window with menacing eyes. Her target was next door, listening to music with his headphones. The window was wide open. She kept her volume down to a minimum as she stalked her target. As she stared at her target, her master's orders repeated inside her head.

"I saved you from a life of hunger, Ravage. I gave you purpose. I made you better. Now go, my precious! Make your papa proud." The doctor smiled, wiping his hands in triumph. Ravage stared at the computer screen, looking at pictures of people's faces. They varied in age, but they all had one thing in common. Their quirks were useful. Her Master's wanted them in their possession. She flared her nostrils and felt her eyes glow a bright purple.

She snapped out of her thoughts and went on the offensive, leaping across the roof. She landed on her target's roof and snuck inside while her target sat on his desk. He was completely unaware of what stood behind him. When he spun around in his chair to get up, Ravage attacked. She pulled him into her claws and covered his mouth, muffling his panicked screams. She wrapped her tail around his neck, cutting off his windpipe. He struggled to fight against the Nomu, unable to make a sound to alert his parents. Slowly, his vision faded away as he slipped into unconsciousness. Ravage flared her nostrils and quickly placed her target on her back, making sure he wouldn't slip off. She turned invisible, causing her target to turn invisible with her. She quickly retreated from the room, exiting out the window. In her head, the only thing she thought about was her mission. She had succeeded.

Her mind jumped from place-to-place, remembering her previous missions. She grabbed her target and took off, vanishing into the night. Most of her missions took place at night. It was far easier to hide in darkness. More and more memories of her targets flooded her mind, successfully abducting each one. This went on for days. Sometimes she'd watch a target for an entire month, keeping track of them and scheduling their every move.

"This is your next target, my precious, Ravage." The doctor said, petting the side of her face. Ravage stared up at the screen and raised her eye at his profile. His name was Hayato Ishida and his quirk was Spark Plug.

"His peculiar case came across my desk at work a couple weeks ago. The Master is also curious about the boy's quirk. If the case is true, then we must have his quirk." The doctor explained, making Ravage nod in understanding. She stood up on all fours and vanished, exiting the room. She performed her task and stalked Hayato, watching him go to school every week. She watched his daily routine which consisted of going to school, sleeping in a mansion, and dressing up as a cardboard hero and playing pretend. Most annoyingly was his trips to the Museum in his home city. Sometimes he'd spend days inside the Museum, doing who knows what. It frustrated her to no end. She used her invisibility to her advantage, jumping down onto a street and staring at an advertisement on a bus stop.

Book a trip to Hosu City's Quirk Museum today!

Ravage growled at the advertisement, flaring her nostrils in annoyance. Grabbing this child was going to be difficult.

Brrrk! Brrrrrrrrk!

The loud noise caught Hayato's attention. The sound wasn't coming from the Nomu. He slowly raised his head up and stared at the ceiling. The smoke made it hard to see through the massive hole. He squinted his eyes and saw a piece of metal from the second floor start to crack. It was about to fall off. Ravage stared up at the ceiling, seeing more clearly through the smoke. Her vision had returned to its full strength.

Ami's plasma beam had melted through the second floor, causing the floor around the hole to become unstable. The metal cracked and tilted downward slightly, slowly losing strength. Ravave stared at the cracking metal and raised her head up. She groaned and felt a tingle go down her spine, causing her muscles to tense up. The second floor was breaking apart right on top of the target and the girl.

She squeezed her claws on the floor, feeling her body react. Her brain sent out conflicting signals. Grab the child. Grab the child. Grab the child. She felt her body shake with anger. This was her target. She needed to take him and disappear. These were the orders of her new masters. Staring at the crying child shielding the unconscious girl sent waves of emotion through her brain. She blinked rapidly, breathing more heavily. With each blink, she could see her previous owner in the flames. She could see her Ayame, shielding her from the flames and smoke.

Brrrrrr- Klink!

Hayato stared up at the ceiling and saw the metal break loose. He tightened his grip on Ami and closed his eyes, attempting to shield her. There was nothing else he could do but accept what was coming. Ravage stared at the fallen metal in what felt like slow motion. Her orders pressured her to run towards him. Grab the child. Grab the child. Grab the child. Save the child. Save the child. Save. Them. Both!

Ravage roared loudly, feeling her adrenaline rush. She leapt off the floor and charged towards Hayato.

"Mrowr!" She hissed, overwriting her new masters orders. Within seconds, she reached the two and leapt into the air, falling above the two humans.

Crunch

"Grrrk!" She hissed, coughing out blood. Hayato winced at the wetness on his face. He wiped his face and opened his eyes, staring at their savior in shock.

Her creepy smile was gone. In its stead, was a remorseful frown and tears falling from her sad eyes. Hayato stared at her in stunned silence, seeing his reflection in her teary eyes. This monster, this Nomu. Saved them. After chasing them throughout the Museum and causing so much pain and suffering. She saved them.

Ravage stared at the boy and felt her vision get blurry. She sniffed and flared her nostrils, spitting up more blood from her mouth.

"Y-y-you-" Hayato stuttered, barely finding the words to speak. The smoke was becoming unbearable for him. Ravage stared at the boy and heard his pained coughs, making her moan with regret.

"Hrrrrrrmm." She groaned, trying to move her legs. She painfully looked down, staring at the unconscious girl underneath her and the child. She concentrated through the pain and activated her quirk, scanning her body. She was still alive. Barely breathing, but alive. She coughed up more blood and scanned herself, inspecting her modified body.

She looked further down her body, staring between her front legs. That's where all of her pain was. Blood was pouring out of two massive holes in her stomach. Several metal rods had pierced right through her spine and poked out of her ribs. Breathing was hard, the metal had also pierced through both of her lungs. She felt her regeneration quirk try its best to heal her damaged body. But the size and strength of the metal rods proved too strong to break through. She couldn't replace her organs, either. Not until the rods were removed. But that was far from possible now. Ravage knew what doing what she did meant. She was dying. The smoke in the air didn't help, making her gag more of her blood. She looked away from Hayato and the girl, making sure the blood coughing out of her lips and the blood dripping out of her wounds didn't make contact with the two humans. She tensed her paws and weakly limped backwards, doing her best to move.

When she was a few feet away from Hayato and Ami, she finally gave in and fell to her side. She made eye contact with Hayato, noticing the shock still present on his face. She completed her mission: Save the child. Save them both.

"Dad always said that big people should always help the small people." Ayame said, hearing her voice echo through her head. Ravage's vision continued to blur, seeing lights around her that weren't there before. She looked up at the ceiling and stared through the massive hole. Through that hole was a familiar sight. The Moon. She let out a small growl at the sight of the Moon, seeing more of her past life.

She laid on that soft bed again. Ayame's eyes were closed, sleeping peacefully in bed. She watched her owner sleep and listened to the sounds from outside. The wind made the drapes on the window flow. She looked outside the window and stared at the bright object in the sky. It was the Moon. The object she was named after. The name given by people she didn't know. The name her Ayame called her. She wasn't Ravage. She was Luna.

She blinked her eyes and returned to reality, continuing to stare up at the Moon. She felt her vision darken and her breathing get lighter. As she gazed upon that bright object in the night sky, her voice called out to her.

"You're a good girl, Luna." Ayame whispered, "I love you so much…" she whispered. Luna closed her eyes and let Ayame's words repeat over and over in her brain. She frowned and continued to cry at her memories. They were here with her all this time. Locked away by her master's and their orders. The missions. She thought about them with newfound regret, whimpering at each success. Why did she do it? Why did they make her do it? Why was she the one the Doctor found that day? Her breathing stopped as she pondered the questions with regret. She dropped her head to the floor, slipping away in silence.

Hayato watched the Nomu close her eyes and fall, feeling tears fall down his face. He couldn't understand it. He couldn't understand why the Nomu had decided to save them. He sniffled and cried, feeling the tears fall harder down his face. He looked at the flames and smoke around the room and heard a sound coming from the building itself.

Vrrrrrrrr

Lights turned on throughout the Museum. In the bunker, the power returned. The security camera feed on the screens slowly turned back on. The staff gasped and covered their mouths as they stared at the lobby camera. Imiter laid on the floor with blood all over his stomach. He leaned on the door to the Safe Zone. Blood still poured out of his chest injury. He opened his eyes weakly and stared up at the lights, seeing them turn back on. His face was pale. He was too weak to move his head up. He could barely even smile as power returned to the Museum. He stared up at the glass ceiling and saw blinking red lights. The tower's emergency lights were blinking, alerting everyone in the city to the Museum. Imiter saw the red light in the sky and exhaled in relief.

"Good job, Mademoiselle…" Imiter whispered, slipping into unconsciousness.

Fire detected!

The sprinklers turned on and extinguished the flames around the room. Hayato watched the flames slowly dissipate and turn to smoke. The air filtration system kicked in as well, working overtime to get the smoke out of the room. Hayato sniffled and felt the air become breathable again, making him gasp. He felt his senses return to him as the smoke subsided. He looked down at Ami and tugged her body, trying to wake her up.

"Ami… Ami, wake up…it's over… The Museum, Ami. It's coming back online." Hayato said, trying to wake her up.

The doors opened up on the other side of the room. Wyvern rushed inside with Thane close behind, both scanning the room for the two.

"Ami! Hayato!" Wyvern yelled.

"Good lord…" Thane said, looking at the Nomu with eyes widened. Wyvern stared at the Nomu with narrowed eyes. He then widened them upon seeing the damage on the Nomu's body. The metal rods had pierced through the creature's body. The blood on the floor was getting washed away by the sprinklers.

"Wyvern!" Hayato yelled, coughing up a little smoke. Wyvern and Thane looked at the source of the sound and made eye contact with Hayato. Their relieved faces quickly turned into terror as they noticed Ami's condition.

"Ami!" Wyvern shouted, rushing towards the two. Hayato laid on top of Ami and continued to tug her body, trying desperately to wake her up.

"You have to help her! She won't wake up!" Hayato panicked.

"Move." Wyvern ordered, softly. Hayato listened and got off of Ami, giving Wyvern some space. Hayato stayed near Ami's left side and continued to cry, holding onto her hand with his own.

"Ami? Ami!" Wyvern yelled, putting his ear up to her chest and listening to her heart. His eyes went wide at the lack of sound.

"No!" He yelled, placing his hands on her chest. He started doing chest compressions while Hayato watched with a horrified frown.

"C'mon, kid. Please." Wyvern said, continuing to perform CPR. He continued for a minute but to no avail, making him desperate.

"C'mon. Not like this, Ami." Wyvern pleaded, continuing with chest compressions. Hayato watched Wyvern perform CPR and felt his heart beating rapidly in despair, squeezing Ami's hand tightly. Thane crouched down beside Hayato and placed his hands on his shoulders for comfort, keeping a somber expression. He looked down at Ami and then looked at Hayato's hands, causing his eyes to widen in disbelief.

"Oh my God…Hayato, your hand…" Thane gasped, squeezing Hayato's shoulders to get his attention. He looked away from Ami and stared down at his hands in confusion. Only after a second of looking at his bare hands holding on to Ami's did he finally realize. Wyvern kept doing chest compressions and looked at Hayato's hands with wide eyes, realizing what he was seeing.

"Huh?" Hayato said, letting go of Ami's hand. He looked at his bare hands in complete awe. Not a single spark was flying out of his fingers. His quirk was deactivated!

"Your quirk didn't activate…" Wyvern muttered, looking at Hayato in disbelief.

"But, I didn't notice…" Hayato admitted, staring at his bare hands. Wyvern looked at his bare hands for a second and then turned back at Ami. She needed help. Fast. He narrowed his eyes and stopped the chest compressions, quickly turning to look at Hayato.

"Hayato, listen to me. Very carefully." Wyvern ordered, getting Hayato to stare at him in confusion.

"Is Ami okay?" Hayato asked, sniffling. Wyvern frowned and quickly replied.

"She's under cardiac arrest. CPR isn't cutting it. I need you to place your hands on her chest. Right on her heart. And electrocute." Wyvern ordered, causing Hayato to freeze in shock.

"What? But my quirk doesn't wo-" Hayato denied.

"Your quirk is working, Hayato. You've been holding her hand this whole time." Wyvern said, affirming what he and Thane saw.

"Master Wyvern, are you sure?" Thane asked, unsure if this was a good idea.

"The closest defib is minutes away. That's time we don't have. I gotta use the closest one to me or she's not going to make it." Wyvern said, making Hayato worry more.

"Hayato. Your quirk is working and I can't explain why. But, right now, we need it to save her life, you hear me?" He asked, receiving a nod.

"Uh huh." Hayato replied. Wyvern grabbed his arms and looked at his eyes with certainty.

"You understand?" He asked.

"I do." Hayato answered, nodding his head in confirmation. Wyvern's face went serious and nodded back at the boy.

"Good. This is it, Spark Plug. Time to make your debut." Wyvern said, solemnly.

"But, what if I do it wrong? What if I-" Hayato feared, wiping the tears away from his face.

"You won't. I believe in you, kid. I always have. We always have." Wyvern assured, the sprinklers prevented Fuego from appearing on his shoulder. Hayato heard his honest feelings and felt better, making him feel more secure.

"Okay." Hayato said, stopping the tears and running nose. Wyvern nodded and grabbed his wrists. He placed Hayato's hands on Ami's chest and pushed downward, making sure his hands were firmly in position.

"Keep your hands right here." Wyvern ordered. Hayato obeyed his command and kept his hands on Ami's chest.

"Good. Now hold it." Wyvern ordered. Hayato quickly complied with orders.

"Picture her heart in your head. Do you see it?" Wyvern explained, putting the image in Hayato's mind.

"I do." Hayato replied, nodding in confirmation.

"Good. Now focus. Keep her heart in your head. The heart is your target. Now do it!" Wyvern ordered. Hayato tensed his whole body up and focused, thinking about Ami's heart.

"Electrocute her heart. Just her heart. Please work!" Hayato thought, activating his quirk. Wyvern and Thane watched as sparks flew out of Hayato's hands, sending volts of electricity through Ami's chest. The electricity entered her skin and reached her heart, shocking it directly with tons of energy. Her heart felt the electricity and jumpstarted, beating fast and steadily. Ami's body flinched from the defibrillation and jumped, surprising Hayato. He let go of Ami and deactivated his quirk. He looked at his bare hands and watched the electric sparks dissipate in his fingertips.

"Did it work?" He asked, looking at Wyvern with worry. Wyvern touched Ami's body and put his ear up to her chest. His eyes went wide when he heard a stable heartbeat.

"Yes! Ha ha! You did it, Spark Plug! You did it! She's breathing!" Wyvern exclaimed, jumping off the floor.

"Hahaha. Yes!" Fuego shouted, struggling to even appear on Wyvern's shoulder. The sprinklers were still on and made all of their clothes wet.

"Well done, Master Ishida." Thane said, feeling proud.

"But, she's not waking up..." Hayato questioned, looking down at Ami's face.

"That's okay. She's not going to wake up instantly." Wyvern explained, crouching down. He gently lifted her off the ground and held her in his arms, turning back towards the entrance.

"C'mon. We gotta take her to Medical on the 5th floor Science Area. Just to be safe."

The Next Day

Sunlight crept through the massive hole in the Hero Area, lighting up all the floors with its warmth.

The fires had long ago extinguished thanks to the sprinklers. All of the smoke had vanished from the building as well, leaving behind nothing but debris. Several drones worked to clean up the debris on each floor, making sure there was nothing left but the massive hole. Repairing damage such as that would require human help.

On the first floor, the robots made quick work with clearing the room of debris. They also evacuated every piece of hero equipment damaged by the conflict. Fortunately, none of the damaged hero equipment was the real thing. Most of them were just for show.

Lying in the center of the room was Ravage's body. Several metal rods still pierced through her body. The bleeding had stopped hours ago, however. She laid on the floor in silence as the robots cleaned up. Several robots circled around her body, scanning her vitals. They stared at her muscles and bones through their xray vision, surveying all the damage done to her. Her skin and brain was perfectly healed, as if they were never damaged. But her insides told a different story. Her lungs were still crushed due to the metal rods protruding out of her body. Her tailblade was fully intact along with her limbs. To their surprise, they could see her heart through their xray vision, fully intact and beating so faintly that one could be fooled into thinking it was dead. The Nomu was in a coma.

Vvvvvvv

A larger machine entered the floor, lowering itself to the ground. It opened itself up, revealing a large empty container. Spider bots gathered around the fallen Nomu, shooting their hooks onto its body. They quickly acted as one and dragged Nomu's body into the container. Once it was inside, they unhooked her and exited the container. The larger robot closed its container, leaving Ravage in darkness. The large machine beeped and drove away in reverse, exiting through the doors in a hurry. Its eyes glowed green as it completed its mission.

Hostile contained

The Bar - Location: Unknown

"Last night, just after 8pm, the Hero Killer Stain was arrested by Endeavor on this very blo-" The reporter lady said, getting interrupted by Kurogiri. He pressed a button on the remote, turning the television off.

"He's all they're talking about." Shigaraki said, crushing the newspaper in his grasp.

"What about my Nomu's?" He complained, narrowing his eyes in frustration. He remembered what he said while standing atop a water tower, making him grit his teeth.

"Once this night is over, the world will've forgotten you ever existed." He laughed, maniacally. He returned to the present and stared at the photo of Stain on the newspaper, making him furious.

"Not only have they not forgotten, but we didn't even make the front page." He complained, squeezing the newspaper tightly, letting it crumble to dust.

Somewhere else

"No. No. No…" The Doctor whined, covering his face with both hands. He leaned his elbows on the desk, illuminated by the light from several television screens.

"Not her. Not my Ravage…" the Doctor whimpered, shaking his head in denial.

"I knew I shouldn't have put my trust in that boy." The Doctor grumbled, slamming his fist on his desk.

"Now we've lost our biggest supplier of new quirks." The Doctor groaned, spinning his chair around. He stared into the darkness and raised his eyes. He fell out of the chair and got on his knees, clasping his hands together like he was praying.

"I'm sorry, Master. But Ravage was unable to abduct the Spark Plug quirk. But, worry not, maybe I can scramble together a high-" The Doctor apologized, coming up with alternatives. His apology was quickly interrupted by a wave from the man hidden in the darkness.

"Let him go." The Master said with a solemn voice. The Doctor heard his Master's voice and looked at him in confusion, barely seeing him through the darkness. His face was covered by a mask and his body was sitting comfortably on a chair.

"W-what?" He stuttered, questioning his Master, "But, Master, his quirk…" He said.

"Could damage the Quirk Factor in the target's body, thus causing them to forcefully activate their quirk." The Master stated, fully aware of the target's power. The Doctor heard his explanation and nodded in agreement, swallowing his saliva.

"It would've paired well with the forced activation quirk already in my possession, but it doesn't matter now. I don't need it that badly." He admitted, gripping his fingers on the chair's arm.

"But, Master, what about Ravage?" The Doctor asked, wiping his hands together. He heard a small laugh come out of his Master's mouth.

"We both know Ravage was just a prototype that outlived her usefulness. She was designed for stealth, not open violence. This was an eventuality." The Master explained, making the Doctor frown. She was made to do the dirty jobs for them. Capture a target, bring them to the designated location, extract their quirk and dispose of the body. It was a gamble to use her to break Kurogiri free but it ended up paying off. He thought she could handle more action, but clearly, he was wrong.

"Dead or captured, she serves no purpose anymore. Therefore, reclaiming her isn't necessary. Let them play with her corpse. We have plenty more of her fellow Nomu in our collection." The Master said, reclining further back in his chair. The Doctor listened to his orders and nodded, obeying his command.

"Yes, Master." The Doctor said, turning his attention back towards the screens. He stared at the screen with narrowed eyes. A helicopter circled around the damaged Museum, getting a shot of the massive hole in the roof. The Doctor glared at the screen, clenching his fists tightly. He felt his veins popping out of his forehead as he stared at the Museum. Ravage was in there. His first Nomu. His achievement laid the groundwork for the creation of her brothers and sisters. Now she was abandoned, just like the day he met her on the side of a road. He lowered his eyes and sighed, letting go of his anger. He frowned and stared up at the screen, placing his hand on the screen.

"I'm sorry, Ravage. You performed excellently." The Doctor whispered, holding in his tears.

End

Author's Notes:

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the end of the biggest chapter I ever made. This is the chapter I've been wanting to write ever since 2021. I'm so happy to have finally gotten here. Finally, we have reached the penultimate chapter for Ami's Internship. The next chapter will be the last of the Museum Arc. After that, we move on to the rest of season 2. That means that we're finally approaching the season 2 finale. We've probably got five chapters left including this one. To be honest, nothing much has changed in my personal life since posting the last chapter. Probably because it's so recent! I'm happy that I managed to complete this chapter so quickly. I guess I'm just ready to move on and focus back on the show. Which reminds me that it's time to go over this chapter.

This chapter starts minutes before the last chapter ended as we follow Backdraft and Wyvern. In this section, I tried to show Wyvern's impatience as Fuego makes noises inside his head. Backdraft feels a disturbance in the force and doesn't act on it because of Wyvern's words. The Museum's defense systems would ensure Ami and everyone else's safety. At least, that was what he believed. Of course, we all know how that turned out. Unless, you skipped reading and went straight to the notes. In that case, scroll back up there.

The main point of starting here was to show their thoughts as they headed towards the city. And also to provide context for something I didn't understand when watching the series for the first time.

Endeavor just straight up kills a Nomu. I don't remember if the series explained that or not. I assume the manga has an explanation about if heroes are allowed to just kill bad guys, but since it doesn't appear in the anime I had to come up with my own explanation. The police gave the heroes permission to kill the Nomu's. That was the best explanation I could come up with.

Next section, we follow Ravage in the Food Area as she regenerates. This scene was meant to show the readers the amount of damage Ami does to Ravage's body. It was mostly written to address the ending of the last chapter. Ravage did in fact smell Ami in the lobby, however, she didn't realize the smoke scent belonged to a human at that point. She was too busy focusing on her target and ignoring what was around her. A problem of hers that quickly puts her in a disadvantage throughout the chapter.

I also wanted readers to see Ravage's intelligence with her memory, deducing who Ami was and what she did to Shigaraki's hand in season 1. There was a lot of focus towards Ravage's hate on fire which was meant to foreshadow her past life in the second half of the chapter.

In the next section, we follow Imiter in the Museum Command Center. Originally, this section didn't exist. Imiter was just going to appear in the lobby with little to no explanation. I changed my mind while writing and decided to put this section in. This section was mainly added because of that lobby scene later on. It was also added to show just what Ravage did to the Museum. Her quirk: Shut Off, disabled all electronics in the entire building from a three block radius.

Referring back to season 2 Chapter 1, this was the quirk Ravage used to disable communications in the Prison Bus. Yes, she is capable of using the quirk at weaker variations. I had always planned for the quirk to be able to do that ever since that chapter was released. So why didn't Ravage use it at its full power in the prison bus? She only had one target which was Kurogiri. If she used her quirk to make all the buses turn off, then she would have given herself away. She only wanted to free Kurogiri and since she knew he was inside only one prison bus, she focused on that. Plus, if she used her full power, she would have never swerved the bus off the cliff. Freeing Kazan was only an accident. If Kurogiri hadn't ordered her to stand down, then she would have killed him right then and there.

Next section, we finally return to Ami and Hayato at the Water Area. This scene was very important. We get a look at Ami's thoughts about Ravage as well as learn more about Hayato's quirk. Yes, unfortunately, Ravage's quirk was always going to completely disable the Museum. Which meant that we'll never know if the turrets outside would actually shoot at Ravage. It's here that Ami counts the amount of quirks Ravage has. She counted five but, in actuality, Ravage has seven in total.

The first one we see is her tailblade which belonged to Gin Nakamura. The second is the regeneration quirk that the USJ Nomu possessed. The third is Shut Off, which lets her disable electronics. The fourth is extreme stamina, which is why she was able to fight Nashorn without getting tired. Fifth is Dry Invisibility, which lets the user turn invisible unless they're wet. Sixth is Limb Growth, allowing her to increase the size of her body. Seventh is Thermal Vision, this is why her eyes glow in the story.

When Ravage arrives in the Water Area, Ami lets Hayato escape while she distracts her. It's in this scene that Ami realizes how intelligent the Nomu is. She is far smarter than the USJ Nomu and it shows. Ami tries to talk with Ravage under the assumption that she was Gin Nakamura. Of course, that turns out to be wrong. I also alluded to the fact she was misidentified in earlier chapters.

Ravage uses Ami's quirk to dry off and then wraps her tail around her neck. She then drags her into the pool and very nearly succeeds in killing her. Fortunately, Nashorn arrived just in time to cut Ravage's tail off and throw her away.

Once Ami recovers, we temporarily return to Backdraft and Wyvern. Events play out much like in the actual episode, however, Wyvern quickly destroys the big Nomu using Fuego. This whole scene was meant to showcase Fuego more as well as show the differences the two have in personality. Wyvern is stoic while Fuego is vengeful and aggressive. Unfortunately, I didn't include the fight with Stain. Like I said in earlier chapters, I couldn't realistically come up with an excuse to put Ami in that alleyway with Izuku. That's why this arc is the way it is now so that I could make up for that fact. It wasn't that important to Ami's arc although it will be brought up later.

In the next section, we reach the middle of the chapter with Hayato and Imiter. Like I said earlier, Imiter was only supposed to appear now until I added that scene with him in the beginning. Imiter reunites with Hayato and learns about Hayato's ability to bypass Ravage's quirk. He revels in that fact and tells Hayato to stay inside the building. Why did Imiter want Hayato to stay inside? I hoped I made it clear but in case you're confused, Hayato would have been captured. If he ran out the front entrance there would have been nothing between him and Ravage. Ravage wanted him to be out in the open. Staying inside was the best option he could make in that scenario.

When Ravage appears in the lobby, Imiter refers to Ravage by Gin. Further foreshadowing that Ravage was not Gin at all. When he tried to use his quirk on her, he quickly realized that revelation. Yes, Gin Nakamura is not Ravage. To put it simply, his tailblade had most of his DNA still present. It's really the only thing Ravage has that belonged to Gin. I also foreshadow her true identity in the scene when Imiter tells Ami that his quirk doesn't work on animals.

In the next section, we reach the second half of the chapter. Ami and Hayato enter the Science Area and reactivate the countermeasures. Well some of the countermeasures. She also realizes Ravage was able to find them using their scents, prompting her to change Hayato's scent so that tracking him would be harder. I like how this part of the chapter went so I don't really have much to say about it other than summary. A lot of things that I foreshadow in previous chapters come to fruition in this scene. One of them being the Zeropointer Rebecca. Like I said before, she would return.

One thing I will mention is the scene on the third floor. I think it needs improvements but even now I can't figure out how to write this scene better. Maybe I'll figure it out sometime in the future. The main thing about the Film Section was to showcase the studio set. Tales of the Quirked is an idea I had a long time ago, before I even decided to write a Twin Midoriya story.

In universe, it's a tv show about the stories of many quirk users around the world. Think of Stan Lee's Superhumans or Fact or Fiction with Jonathan Frakes. I wanted to make short stories that were all narrated by one guy but I ultimately decided not to go through with it. I'm glad I didn't since I like writing about this story.

The most important part of this entire section is the dream sequence. After Ravage deals with the robots she falls unconscious in order to heal. This is where we get to see more of her past life. We also get a glimpse of her previous mission before she wakes up. This was meant to foreshadow later events as well as clue you in on what Ravage truly was.

The second most important scene was Rebecca's activation. Hayato uses his quirk to reactivate Rebecca and saves Ami from nearly getting killed a second time. Rebecca deals massive damage to Ravage's body. Since Hayato didn't set any safety limits on Rebecca, she fired a missile at Ravage. Which leads us to the next section.

We return to Backdraft and Wyvern in the aftermath of the fight with the Hero Killer. No, they didn't get involved in the fight. This scene is also the first time Izuku sees Wyvern. The main focus of this section is on Wyvern and Fuego. We finally see what Fuego is capable of, fully covering Wyvern in flames and taking the shape of a Wyvern. This move is appropriately called Full Body Wyvern. Fuego uses Wyvern's body and takes shape, standing at an impressive 15 feet tall with a 50 foot wingspan. When using this move, Fuego has full control while Wyvern floats in the center of his body. It's kinda like how pilots operate mechs. Well, not really. Wyvern has minimal control over Fuego in this form, but its main purpose is for Fuego to take the lead and go all out on enemies. But, in this case, it's to fly over to the Museum. Which is what Fuego does to reach the Museum. I'm being careful with what I say about this section because I might return to it in the next chapter through flashback. Anyways, Izuku sees the smoke coming from the Museum and activates his big brother senses. No, this isn't the major protective brother moment. I have one planned in the future that will hopefully not disappoint. Izuku wants to get to the Museum and save Ami but his injuries from his fight against Stain were too overwhelming. Mainly these Hosu City sections were meant to give Wyvern his time to shine in combat since this is the second to last chapter in this arc.

In the next section, Ami and Hayato recover from the missile explosion and head to the Hero Area. Originally, Rebecca would have an extended fight scene with Ravage but the chapter was starting to get clogged up. Instead, I had Ravage perform a Michael Myers. She crawled away and exited the hangar before Rebecca could notice. Ravage also hears Ayame's voice again. These dreams become more frequent with every fight Ravage is involved in for good reason.

Finally, we reach the final section.

Ami and Hayato enter the Hero Area, returning to the Hall of Heroes. To their shock, Ravage arrives looking worse for wear. A big fight scene happens with Ami getting thrown across the room and Hayato nearly getting grabbed. Fortunately, Ami wraps her whip around Ravage's neck and holds on for dear life. Ami fulfills the promise she made to Hayato. She would never let the monster grab him. During this fight, Ravage's claws swipe at Ami's back and injures her. This is a reference to Star Wars. In Attack of the Clones, Padme gets clawed by the Nexu in the back. This is basically the same wound Ami gets. Ami uses everything in her grasp to stay alive against the Nomu and eventually realizes that this fight was getting more one sided. Ravage was actively recovering from the missile explosion and Ami knew it. It was only a matter of time before Ravage would get the upper hand and kill her.

That's why she remembers what Hayato told her about his quirk. This is when Ami realizes that the only way to stop Ravage was to forcefully activate her quirks all at once. She tells Hayato to use his quirk on Ravage while she stays on her. He listens to her command and does what he's told, causing Ami to get electrocuted.

Ami's plasma beam returns once more, blasting through another roof. I had a lot to describe in this scene which made me rush a little, but overall, I think I got the point across. I will probably go back and edit this scene later if I don't do it before I upload this.

Ravage's brain literally melts from the electrocution. I tried to be descriptive and vague so that I wouldn't have to change to a M rating. It's because of all that damage to her brain throughout the chapter that her past life begins to manifest. It all led up to what we see in the aftermath of Hayato's quirk.

Ami falls to the floor along with Ravage. Ravage dreams about Ayame and her house, but still doesn't fully understand what she was seeing. It was only after witnessing Hayato repeat the same words Ayame said to her that caused Ravage to fully remember her past life.

Yes, Ravage was a house cat the whole time. A genetically modified house cat. Now, I am 100 percent telling the truth when I say this. The last section of the chapter, when Ravage wakes up and sneezes, all the way to the ending with Wyvern, Thane, and Hayato defibrillating Ami. This was all written in 2021. I had visualized this ending in my head for a very long time. Back then, I thought I would get there in months. But, obviously, things happened that led to delay after delay. But here we are in September of 2023, finally at the point I've been trying to reach for over two years.

In this section, we learn the identity of the little girl in Ravage's dreams. It was a little girl named Ayame. She lived with Ayame at her parents house ever since she was a kitten. Ravage was a Christmas present from her parents. We also find out Ravage's real name. Luna.

In 2021, I purposely skipped over the fire scene and just wrote the rest of the ending instead. So, the part where Ayame and Luna are trapped in their house was written now. I didn't just come up with that fire scene on the fly, either. I had that idea in 2021 as well. I just didn't want to write that scene in 2021 incase I had to change things. Luckily, I didn't have to change anything. Everything I wrote about the Museum arc was all leading up to this final section.

In between her last goodbye with Ayame and sitting in a box on the side of the road, you'll notice that I wrote about how the firefighters found them. Well, there was meant to be more there, including an explanation on what happened to the house. However, I decided the house fire didn't need to be explained. Honestly, it was too depressing to write about and I kinda cried. Back in 2021, my motivation for giving Ravage this backstory was based on my own cats. As I mentioned before, I used to have three cats and they all passed away. And in 2021, while writing the Sports Festival arc, my dog passed away on 9/11. Perhaps it's fate that this chapter is finally releasing two years after her passing. Before you ask, I didn't post on the exact anniversary of her passing in respect for 9/11. I was only a few months old at the time, but I'm aware of how devastating it was for my country. (I'm American.)

I guess this chapter is a tribute to the pets I lost. Ravage was originally going to die in this chapter, but after my dog died, I couldn't bring myself to kill Ravage off. No, she won't return after this. I don't know what I'll do with her. Her part in the story is over with. I'll let her rest for now.

Anyways, going back to the house fire scene. Yes, I know what happened to Ayame and her parents. In short, it was a freak accident. If you want to know what exactly happened, then ask about it in DM and I'll tell you.

And that's it for the chapter, I've gone over most of what I wanted to say. Except for the masked man. If you didn't already figure it out, the masked man is All For One. I'm just keeping his name secret because he hasn't been truly introduced at this point.

Other than that, that's pretty much it for me. Now that this chapter is finished I feel like I have a void in my heart. I've been wanting to write this chapter for so long that I'm honestly blanking on what to do next. I don't know how far the next chapter will progress. I don't really want to rush things either. I guess we'll see how everything turns out in the future.

Until then, thank you for staying with me. I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. Like I said in my last chapter, Sorry for taking so long. It's been a while since I had to post a new chapter without a single review about the previous chapter.

Actually, before I end these notes. I'd like to mention all the influences that affected this chapter and the arc as a whole. The Museum was heavily influenced by The Relic (1997) and the Jurassic Park films, specifically Fallen Kingdom. Ravage was heavily inspired by the Kothoga beast and the Indoraptor, so, thanks to those films for giving me motivation.

That's it for now. Please write a review for this chapter and the previous chapter. I've heard back from no one since the last upload and I really want to know what you all think. If you spot any mistakes like grammar and spelling, please let me know. Until then, thanks for reading and have a very good day!

Next Chapter: What Happens After

Ami recovers from her injuries and learns about what happened to Hayato
