26: Eat or be Eaten: Panic in the Forest!

The Chunins in front of the gates unlocked them before turning around and looking at the watch.
…My Line…
"Alright!" Anko shouted for them to hear her. "Heads up you maggots! The Second Part of the test has begun!"
…My Line…
The gates all slammed opened before the teams rushed in.
…My Line…
"You know, who we are looking for," the long hair Grass Ninja said.
"Yeah, those three brats," his teammate agreed with a smirk.
…My Line…
"Well, alright!" Naruto cheered as they walked inside. "Here we go guys!"
Sasuke smirked while Raika had narrowed her eyes as she cast out her chakra senses.
…My Line…
The teams all could be seen moving through the forest at a fast pace.
…My Line…
"Okay," Kiba said as his team came to a stop. "First thing we got to do is find it. You ready, Hinata?"
The Hyuuga nodded her head in answer.
…My Line…
"Take it easy Lee," the Hyuuga told him. "The test has only just begun."
"That maybe, but still, whoever our enemies are, I want to find them before they can find us," Lee told him.
…My Line…
"We have only one target. Stay focus on him."
…My Line…
"Sounds like the fun had begun," Anko laughed in amusement.
…My Line…
"That sounded like someone screaming," Sasuke pointed out when they heard the screams.
"I wonder what kind of trap was used," the greenette said with a smirk.
"Oh, come on?" Naruto asked as he turned to face them. "It's nothing to be scared of, it's going to be a piece of cake." The Miran let out a sigh as her brother remained quiet for a bit before he turned around went over to a tree. "Excuse me for a second. I really gotta…you know."
The greenette gained a look of disgust on her face as she walked up behind him and hit him over the head.
"YEAH RIGHT!" she yelled at him. "GET OUTTA HERE! WHAT IS THIS? A KENNEL? NOT IN FRONT OF ME, YOU DON'T! GO FIND A BUSH OR SOMETHING, ANIKI!"
The blonde did as his female teammate told him to do. It was a few minutes later that he walked out from behind a tree with a smile.
"Aw, man, that was a lot," 'Naruto' told them as he came back into view. "I wrote my whole name."
"Gross Aniki," Raika groaned. "Don't talk that way in front of a girl." Naruto walked in front of her while rubbing her not at all paying attention to the narrowing of her eyes. "You do know that, right?"
"Yeah, I know," the Uzumaki answered.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes as well before he lashed out and sent the blonde flying into a tree.
"Uchiha?" Raika asked in shock.
"Hey!" Naruto yelled. "What was that for?"
"Okay," the raven said. "Where is the real Naruto?"
'So he figured it out as well,' the greenette thought as she glared at the other ninja.
"Better watch out, Raika. I think he's gone crazy."
"Yeah, you wish," the Uchiha told him with a glare. "I just struck before you did."
"On top of that your chakra levels are so below Naruto's that it's not even funny," Raika stated with a smirk. "And Naruto always calls me, Rai-chan, even though he knows that I hate it, you big fake."
"What happened to that scratch that you got from the examiner?" the dark hair Genin asked. "And also, you got your shuriken holster on your left side. Naruto is right-handed. Your transformation skills are worse than Naruto's. Tell me, who you are?"
"So, you got me, but I'm still going to take your scroll," the fake said as he changed back. "So, which one of you has it?" He took off at them. "Or do I take you three out?!"
Both Sasuke and Raika jumped into the air while running through hand signs.
'Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!' Sasuke thought as he let lose small fire balls.
'Water Style: Water Bullet Jutsu!' the greenette thought as she then let loose balls of water.
The enemy ninja should that he was quick enough to dodge avoid both the smaller fire balls and the water bullets. He then tried to run after crossing blades with the Uchiha only for both Sasuke and Raika to follow after him.
"AAARRRGH!" they heard Naruto's voice growl. "HEY GET ME OUTTA THIS!"
'Tch, little idiot,' Sasuke thought.
"I got him, Uchiha," the green hair Genin told him. "You focus on the enemy."
The Uchiha looked at her before nodding his head.
"Right," he agreed before followed the enemy.
…My Line…
Raika jumped down to Naruto and cut the rob around him.
"Thank you, Rai-chan," the blonde thanked her.
"Don't call me that!" the Miran snapped as the two of them moved.
The Uzumaki snickered as he always got a kick out of pissing her off as Raika could be to serious for his taste.
…My Line…
"Better keep your eye on the game!" the Rain Ninja told Sasuke, who was watching the siblings, as he threw kunai.
The Uchiha was quick to dodge, but one of the kunai had a piece of paper attached to it.
"A paper bomb?" Sasuke yelled in shock as it went off.
The dark hair pre-teen was thrown back away from the black towards the ground, but he turned around and landed in a slight crouch. However, when he went to stand up the Rain Ninja appeared behind him with a kunai to his throat.
"Sorry, but this is one test that you fail," the Rain Ninja told him. "Now hand over the scroll or you'll die."
"Wood Style: Silent Strangle Jutsu!" a familiar voice to the Uchiha called out.
Both Sasuke and the enemy looked in time to see a multiplate of branches heading for the Rain Ninja. The dark hair Genin allowed his eyes to follow the branches back to the ground to see Naruto standing there with his right arm looking like a tree. A gasp come from the older Genin male of Team 7 in shock at the fact that, who he sees as a clanless and talentless loser, actually has the Kekkei Genkai of the Shodaime Hokage.
'Maybe he is not a clanless and talentless loser as I had thought,' the Uchiha thought.
The enemy started to dodge the branches which forced the Rain Ninja to jump away from Sasuke just as Raika came in with an attack at the ninja's head with her blade though he ducked making her to soar over him. The blonde stopped his jutsu before he jumped into the fight while throwing a kunai.
"Oh, no you don't," Naruto said as he landed.
Sasuke than had his foot hovered over the kunai that Naruto throw.
'Focus my Chakra.'
The dark hair pre-teen kept hold of the kunai by using his chakra before he spun around and performed a kick which sent the kunai flying. However, the enemy managed to dodge, but the Uchiha jumped up with a kunai in hand that he then used to stab the Rain Ninja in the stomach.
"WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL!" Raika called out to them. "HIS TEAMMATES MIGHT BE NEAR BY!"
The Rain Ninja pushed away from Sasuke while holding his wound.
"I wish," he stated. "I came along as to not arouse suspension. Big Mistake."
'So much for him,' the Uchiha thought as the enemy ninja left.
'For now,' Raika sighed mentally.
…My Line…
"That just proves that we just can't trust appearances," Sasuke told them. "We have to come up with a way of knowing each of us is, who we say we are, and not some imposter using a Transformation Jutsu."
Naruto nodded his head while Raika looked annoyed.
"Alright, so what do we do?" Naruto asked him.
"It'll be easier if we can come up with something," Raika stated as she meets Sasuke's eyes before carefully looking off behind him and then back again.
The Uchiha narrowed his eyes at that as the greenette was letting him know that someone was listening in on them.
"We need a password," the dark hair Genin informed them.
"What kind of password?" Naruto asked.
"A secret one," Sasuke answered. "Something that is known to only the four of us and don't trust anyone that doesn't know it. No matter what." The kunoichi nodded her head in agreement. "Ok, listen closely because I will only want to say this once. The question will be: When does a Ninja strikes? And the response is: A Ninja waits until the time is right when his enemy sleeps and drops his guard. When his weapons lay forgotten in the stillness of the night. That is the moment for a ninja to strike. Got it?"
"I got it," Raika answered.
"You got one a little shorter?" Naruto asked making the Uchiha to glare at him.
"No, Naruto," Sasuke answered. "That's it." The Uchiha smirked at him. "What's wrong? Don't tell me that you didn't get it?
Raika let out a sigh as she shook her head.
'I really need to talk to Naruto about this,' she thought. 'This stupid act of his has gone on for to long.'
"Alright, then I'll take the scroll," Sasuke told Naruto as he stood up.
"Wait a minute Sasuke," Naruto stated as he also stood. "I…" Just then something cut Naruto on the cheek which surprised him. "What was that?"
The Miran's widen when a huge gust of wind blew through, but soon her dark wine-red eyes narrowed.
"What is it now?" Sasuke asked as the wind got stronger.
Naruto cried out as he was sent flying away from Sasuke and Raika.
…My Line…
"Alright, you two," the Grass Ninja from earlier said. "Fan out into the woods and keep your eyes open. I'll handle this alone."
…My Line…
"Uchiha!" Raika called out as she ran up to Sasuke, who put his kunai in front of him, making her to stop.
"Stay there," Sasuke ordered. "First answer the question: When does a Ninja strikes?"
"Oh, right," the Miran said with a nod of her head. "A ninja waits until the time is right when the enemy sleeps and drops his guard. When his weapons lay forgotten in the stillness of the night. That is the moment for a ninja to strike."
"Good," the Uchiha sighed as he lowered his weapon.
"Yeah, what's up?" Naruto's voice sounded making the two of them to look over at him. "Are you guys okay?!"
"Don't come any closer," Raika ordered him.
"Huh?"
"What's the password?" the greenette answered.
"Oh, sure," Naruto said with a smile. "No problem. Ok, a ninja waits until the time is right when the enemy sleeps and drops his guard. When his weapons lay forgotten in the stillness of the night. That is the moment for a ninja to strike."
Both Sasuke and Raika smirked before the Uchiha threw his kunai at the fake, who dodged with ease.
"What was that?" 'Naruto asked in anger. "You could have killed me!"
"Got to hand it to ya," the dark hair Genin spoke up. "You're quicker than the last one."
"Who are you!?" the Miran asked as she reached for her tantō. "And what have you done with Aniki?!"
"Huh?"
"Do you really think that Naruto could memorized all that and get it word for word?" the Uchiha asked as the enemies' eyes widen. "Not the Naruto that I know. Not in a million years. We have a better chance of teaching it to a hamster."
"To sha," Raika agreed as she sweatdropped. 'Seriously, Naruto, this idiot act is getting old.'
"Besides, you saw the way this guy moves when he dodged my attack," Sasuke stated. "That was diffidently not a Naruto move. Alright, come out, whoever you are? Parties over!"
"Aren't we the clover ones," the voice of the Grass Ninja said before she changed back to normal. "Tell me? If your teammate is really that dimwitted: why did you come up with a password that he'll be able to remember?"
"You see, it wasn't meant for Naruto as much as it was meant for anybody anywhere near by trying to eavesdrop on us," the Uchiha stated with a smirk. "It was meant as a trap and you stumbled right into it."
"I'm impressed," the Grass Ninja said as she took off her hat. "You certainly haven't dropped your guard, have you?" She looked over the greenette. "And you are a sensor, aren't you?" All the two in front of her did was narrow their eyes. "This promises to be very entertaining."
The Grass Ninja licked her hat.
'Creepy fucker.'
…My Line…
Naruto, who was had hit a tree, groaned from the pain.
"Okay," the blonde sighed. "Upsie daisy." He then looked around in confusion. "Hey, I wonder where Sasuke, and Rai-chan are." A shadow suddenly fell over him. "I hope they…" The Uzumaki looked up to see a snake…a large snake. "Whoa. That's…That's…That's…" 'That is one huge…snake!' The snake then slammed right into Naruto sending him flying though he managed to remain on his feet as he looked at it. "Wood Style: Four Pillar Prison Jutsu!" Four wooden pillars quickly grew out of the ground and started to surround the snake while creating a cage. "Thank God." The snake hissed at the blonde, who smirked. "Nice try!"
With a laugh the Uzumaki took off into the forest with a mocking wave over his shoulder.
…My Line…
The Grass Ninja pulled out her team's scroll making the greenette to gasp when she noticed it was an Earth Scroll.
"Oh, you would love to get your hands on our Earth Scroll, wouldn't you?" she asked as she held it up. "It would go so nicely with your Heaven Scroll." The Grass Ninja wrapped her tongue around the scroll and swallowed it making the greenette to gap in shock. "Well, when this is all over…" Her tongue ran over her lips. "One of us will have both scrolls…" Raika and Sasuke gasped in shock. "And the other will be…DEAD!"
The two Genin were struck with so much fear that they saw the gruesome way that they'll die before they fell to their knees.
'Is this an illusion,' the Uchiha thought as he tried to stand only to collapse and throw up. 'No, it's more than that. Her thrust for blood is almost probole. Looking into her eyes…I saw…the moment of my own death. Who is she? What is she?' He then looked at the greenette. "Raika…" The Miran was gritting her teeth as she fought off the affect of the killing intent. 'Good. She's going to be alright if a little pissed off. We've got to get out of here and get away from her.' Sasuke looked back at the Grass Ninja. 'She's death.'
…My Line…
A clone of Naruto picked two scrolls from the female of the team that the original had ran into on his way to find Sasuke and Raika. Cobalt blue eyes scanned the kanji before smirking when he realized that the original had ran into a team that already had both scrolls.
"What scrolls did they have?" the original asked as he walked up from where he had buried his two opponents into the ground with only their heads above ground.
"They had both scrolls, boss," the clone answered as he handed them over to him. "It would seem that they wanted to take out the competition." The clone rolled his eyes. "Of course, there wouldn't be that many of us if Sasuke had kept his mouth shut at that pre-test before the first exam."
"Agreed," the real Uzumaki agreed as he dispelled the clone before taking off again. 'Hold on Sasuke, Raika, I'll be there soon. And Sasuke, you better make sure that Raika is safe or so help me…'
…My Line…
"Your paralyze with fear," the Grass Ninja stated.
'What's wrong with me?' the Uchiha thought. 'Move. Come on. Move Sasuke. Move.' The dark hair Genin's hand started to slowly move towards his weapon pouch. 'That's it. Come on you can do this.' He was able to take hold of a kunai. 'Yes!' Sasuke managed to pull out his kunai before he tried to stand up. 'Even if it's just a little. You've got to move.'
"Very good," the enemy said. "Now what happens?"
'It's no use,' the Uchiha thought. 'I can't move.'
"Don't worry," the Grass Ninja said as she pulled out two kunais. "I'll make it quick, but I don't have to tell you that, do I?" She started to walked towards the two Genin as she raised the kunais. "You've seen it with you own eyes." She then came to a stop. "I expected you to be more of a challenge. How disappointing."
Sasuke's eyes widen as she threw her weapons at them before blood flew.
…My Line…
Naruto sniffed the air before growling under his breath.
'I smell blood in the air,' he thought. 'Raika better be safe or I will make Sasuke's death look like an accident.'
"And I would help you," a deep, darker, voice with a hint of hatred under tone stated.
'Kyuubi,' the blonde gasped. 'What do you want?!'
The Uzumaki had made connect with the fox during one of his meditation sessions. It had been an accident, but it still worked out in Naruto's favor seeing as he can start working on a partnership with the Kyuubi.
"Not much," the fox answered. "I was just offering my help in killing the Uchiha should that friend of yours end up dead. That and I just hate the Uchihas…with Itachi and Shisui being the only two that I actually like from that cursed clan."
What the fox also wasn't saying was that he knew of the blood ties between Raika's and Naruto's fathers and thus their own blood ties. The blonde has a tiny amount of the Kyuubi's respect for his protectiveness of his baby cousin/honorary sister/Godsister as the most important thing to a fox was its family after all.
'Well, that's a first,' Naruto thought with a cackle. 'The great Kyuubi no Kitsune actually likes two humans, who are both Uchihas.'
The Kyuubi just huffed at him before closing the link and going back to sleep, but does keep an ear out for when his host needed him.
…My Line…
A bit of blood on the ground before the two kunais in the tree with Sasuke and Raika nowhere to be found.
"So, that's how it is," the Grass Ninja said.
…My Line…
The greenette breathed a sigh of relief before looking at Sasuke.
"Uchiha?" she asked softly.
…My Line…
'A desperate move, but a clever one,' the enemy thought.
…My Line…
The pair of kunais flying through the air.
'Move,' the Uchiha thought. 'You've got to move, Sasuke. Move. Move!' He raised his kunai into the air. 'MOVE!'
He brought the kunai down onto his own leg at the same time as Raika biting down on her lower lip before the two of took off quickly.
…My Line…
'They overcame the fear with pain. So, these two preys are not so hopeless after all.'
…My Line…
'Sasuke, Raika, hold on,' Naruto thought as the trees were nothing, but blurs. 'I'm almost there. Just hold on a little longer.'
…My Line…
"I need to take care of that that wound as it looks deep," Raika stated.
Sasuke quickly covered the Miran's mouth.
'Got to move,' he thought. 'Got to get away from her. But, how? Where?'
'What is wrong with Uchiha?' Raika thought in shock. 'I have never seen him this scared before.' Just then a giant snake appeared, and Raika tried to remove the Uchiha's hand. "Uchiha, watch out!"
The two of them jumped out of the way of the snake before it could kill them as it lunged at them.
"Unbelievable," Sasuke stated. "I didn't even notice. I'm losing it." The green hair Genin landed on a thick tree branch before she looked up to see the snake going after the Uchiha. "NO!" The dark hair Genin threw shurikens at the snake. "STAY AWAY!"
The shurikens all hit the snake inside of its mouth which killed it before the two Genin gasped as it started to crack open.
"I can sense your fear and desperation," the Grass Ninja stated as she stood up from inside of the snake. "It's only natural. The prey must never let down it's guard, not even for a moment in the presence…" The enemy looked up at them. "Of its predator."
The female pre-teen let out a gasp as the Grass Ninja moved up the tree like a snake until someone threw some shuriken and kunai to stop her path.
"Looks like I'm came just in time!" Naruto was heard saying.
"ANIKI!" Raika called out.
"Oh, by the way!" Naruto said with a smirk on his face. "What was that password again?"
