Hey everyone! I am soooo sorry for the long wait with this story! I've been focusing a lot on my Medic's Assistant story and kept putting this one off to the side. I haven't abandoned this story and I intend to finish it. Again, I apologize, and I hope you like this chapter. Sorry for any grammar errors. Chapter 29: The Headmaster (Part 2)

(Third POV)
Kylie fearfully backs away as Starscream steps into the light and evilly grins at her.
The flier had been sent out to gather more supplies and was expecting it to be a boring mission. But that changed soon as the small blue femme appeared. Now is his chance to exact revenge for the humiliation she and the triple changer femme caused him.
"Where's your friend?" he asks maliciously, "I have a bone to pick with her." His grin grows bigger. "Maybe she'll come running once she hears you screaming."
Kylie immediately leaps out of the way as he reaches down to grab her. Seeing a large trash bag beside her, she grabs it and throws it at him just as he turns his helm in her direction.
SPLAT!
The bag explodes soon as it hits Starscream, causing all of its contents inside to splatter all over his face. All Kylie can see is a pair of red optics scowling at her from under the grey mush of garbage.
"Uh... Sorry?" she fearfully apologizes.
Growling out loud, Starscream wiped the garbage off of his face. "Why you little-!"
Kylie shrieks as she immediately transforms and drives off in vehicle mode... with the angry flier chasing after her.
(Meanwhile elsewhere)
The radio playing in his car, Fanzone drives around the city while eating a burger bot meal. As he eats his burger, a heavy metal song starts playing on the station.
"Give it up cause I'm a machine! Give it up cause I'm a machine!" the singer sings through the speakers, making Fanzone frown.
"I hate this song," he says as he goes to change it. Though as he presses the button, it doesn't work as the song keeps playing.
"Come on!" he says as he continuously presses the button. He tries pressing another, only for the volume to increase and the screaming to get louder. "I didn't even press volume!" he exclaims. Getting frustrated, he starts randomly pressing a bunch of buttons. It's not long before the radio sparks and all the buttons break.
"MACHIIIIIIIINE!"
"AH SHUT UP!" Fanzone exclaims as he punches the radio, causing it to completely break as it goes silent. Looking at the damage, he lets out a sigh. "This is why I hate machi- WHOA!"
Immediately the captain hits the brakes, making his food fly forward out of his passenger seat. Once his car comes to a complete stop, he looks up at the large obstacle in the middle of the road. He recognizes what it is.
Or in this case, who it is!
"What the heck?" he asks himself.
Confused at what's in front of him, he gets out of his car and approaches the unconscious femme.
(Jacy's POV)
"Hey, wake up!"
Hearing someone talking, I groan as I slowly open my optics. I then look over to see Fanzone standing there beside me.
"Fanzone?" I ask in confusion.
He frowns at me. "You mind telling me why you're lying in the middle of the road with no body?"
Still trying to shake off the drowsiness, I give him a look. "Nobody? What, am I supposed to be chaperoned or something?"
"What? No! You ain't got no body! You're missing your body!"
His words immediately sink in as I fully awaken. Soon as I glance down, my optics widen in horror. He isn't kidding. I HAVE NO BODY!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I scream in horror. This can't be happening! "What the- where's my body?!"
Just then I remember what happened before I blacked out. My fear immediately turns to rage. "He body jacked me!" I start rolling and bouncing around as I angrily rant. "That jerk stole my body! Oh, when I get my servos on him... what am I saying?! he has my servos! I'm nothing but a head! A HEAD!"
Fanzone just gives me a look. "Yeah, I still have no idea what's going on."
I come to a stop, resulting in me falling over onto my face. "Oomph!" I let out a groan before rolling over to look at the captain. "Masterson! I bumped into him and he tasered me! He's now hunting Decepticons with my body!"
His eyes widen at this.
Before I can say anything else, I hear my name being called on my commlink.
"Jacy!"
It's Kylie! Immediately I answer her. "Kylie?! Kylie can you hear me?!"
"Oh, thank goodness!" she says frantically, "Starscreams here and he's trying to kill me!"
My optics fearfully widen. "WHAT?!" I exclaim, "where are you?!"
"I'm at the Pier!" she says as I hear blaster fire in the background, "how fast can you get here?!"
"I don't know, I'm a head!" I tell her.
"Ahead of what?!" she confusingly asks.
"What, no! I'm a head!" I try to explain, "I have no body!"
"What do you mean, you're alone?!"
"No, I- call Optimus for back-up, I'll get there soon as I can!"
I hear her let out a shriek before the call cuts out. As if things aren't bad enough. Now Kylies in trouble! Needing a way to get to her, I look at Fanzone. "I need a ride!"
He looks at his small car then back at my big head. "Uuuuh..."
(Third POV)
Kylie lets out a shriek as she swerves out of the way from Starscream's fire power. She can hear him evilly laughing as he gets closer.
"Do you really think you can escape me?!" he shouts at her, "I will tear you apart for all the humiliation I endured because of you and that triple changer!"
"Or you could just go to therapy!" Kylie shouts back, "you'll feel a lot better!"
"SILENCE!" he angrily exclaims as he continues firing.
Back near the pier, Kylie feels a blast hit right behind her. "HOLY CRAP!" she yelps as she goes flying into the air. Transforming, she tumbles to the ground in her bot form and lands on her front. "Ow," she groans.
Starscream menacingly chuckles as he lands down in front of the small bot. "Gotcha," he says as he reaches down to grab her.
"Hey, Screamy!"
The decepticon turns his head just as Bumblebee transforms into bot mode and fires his stingers at his face. This causes Starscream to let out a painful yell as he covers his optics. Kylie looks over at Bumblebee as he rushes over to her.
"Where the heck were you?!" both he and Kylie ask each other as they frown, "me?! Yes you! Stop that!"
Rubbing his optics, Starscream glares at Bumblebee. "You will pay for that!" he says as he aims his null rays at him.
Just then a blast shoots down at the seeker, causing him to grunt as he flies back a few feet away. Both bots turn around to see someone flying down towards them.
"It's Jacy!" Kylie happily says, "she made it!"
Bumblebee looks closely before his optics widen, "wait, isn't that..."
Both end up getting knocked over as Masterson swoops down with Jacy's body and lands in front of Starscream.
"Total ownage!" Masterson shouts through the Headmaster unit. "Prepare to be schooled, Newb!"
Kylie and Bumblebee stare in shock at the large robot head controlling their friend's body.
"Masterson?!" Bumblebee exclaims.
"What the- where's Jacy?!" Kylie demandingly asks.
Masterson looks over Jacy's shoulder, "Oh, the buzzkill? She insisted on being in the way, so I took care of her. Don't worry though. She's fine... for a head anyway."
"A head?!" Kylie's optics then widen in realization. "Ooooh that's what she meant."
Starscream groans as he sits up and looks at the Headmaster attached to the triple changer's body. A look of confusion spreads across his face. "What the slag am I looking at?"
Masterson looks back at him, his Headmaster Unit grinning at the seeker. "Your worst nightmare!" He declares before charging up Jacy's palms and firing.
Starscream goes flying back as the force field wave slams into his frame. He grunts as he skids across the ground, his armor sparking against the pavement before he comes to a complete stop on his front. Glaring dangerously at the Headmaster, the Decepticon SIC gets back up and cracks his neck.
"Alright then." Starscream says. He then flies up and fires his null rays at the Headmaster.
Masterson laughs as he makes a force field around himself, protecting him from Starscream's attack. "Gotta do better than that, Newb!" He then activates Jacy's thrusters and flies upwards. He lets out a laugh as he absorbs the forcefield back into the palms before shooting a blast out at Starsceam.
Starscream immediately flies upwards, avoiding the wave by inches. Smirking, he returns fire.
Back on the ground, Kylie and Bumblebee can only watch as the two fight in the air.
"This will not end well, will it?" Kylie asks Bumblebee.
"Probably not," the yellow bot responds.
Hearing vehicles approaching, both turn around to see Optimus and the others arriving.
"What's going on?!" Optimus asks as he transforms. He looks up at the fight. "Is that... Jacy?"
"No," Kylie says, "it's that Headmaster guy. He took over Jacy's body and is using it to fight Starscream."
"Though I have to admit," Bumblebee says, "he flies a lot better than Jacy does."
Kylie gives him an angry look.
"What, he does!" he protests.
"But if that's the Headmaster, where's Jacy?!" Bulkhead asks.
"She said she's on her way," Kylie says, "but she didn't say how."
(Jacy's POV)
"We're almost there!" Fanzone shouts at me as he drives down the road.
Riding in a trailer attached to Fanzone's car (thankfully he was able to convince someone to let him borrow it), I look up to see smoke rising past the buildings.
"Can't you go any faster?!" I ask him.
"I could if it wasn't for the extra weight being dragged behind me!" he argues.
I let out a frustrated vent. "Why did you even agree to let the Headmaster roam around Detroit?!"
"Believe me, I'm not crazy about it either, but the Decepticons have been a big problem as of late and we're running out of options!"
"Fanzone, Powells having Masterson do this for publicity!" I say, "and I doubt Masterson even cares about the lives of others! Or property damage!"
"Look, I know Masterson is rough around the edges-"
"Rough around the edges?! You do realize you're transporting a giant head, right?!"
"We have no choice!"
"Yes, you do!" I argue, "you still have the Autobots! They're still here to fight for this city! And unlike Masterson, they care about the safety of others and will do anything to protect all of you! Even if you lost all hope in them!"
Fanzone goes quiet as he keeps driving.
(Third POV)
"Are you done wasting my time?!" Starscream asks as he and Masterson continue their fight.
"I'm just warming up!" Masterson says as he activates the Headmaster unit's laser. "Eat this, Newb!"
Starscream dodges as the laser shoots past him.
Masterson fires again as he chases Starscream around the buildings. He then grins as he activates the Headmaster's missiles. "Try these on for size!" he shouts as he fires them at the seeker.
Seeing the missiles coming at him, Starscream flips out of the way, causing the missiles to hit a building instead. Immediately they explode on impact, destroying part of the structure.
Starscream sees the damage and evilly smirks. "Hmm. This could be interesting."
The bots' optics widen in horror as they see the explosion. Debris is raining down from the building and towards the street, causing vehicles to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting them.
"What's Masterson doing?!" Bulkhead exclaims, "is he crazy?!"
Masterson laughs as he keeps throwing all his attacks at Starscream, causing damage all around. More missiles end up hitting the buildings, causing even more debris to fall from the explosions. Even some of the fire power made its way to the street below, destroying anything in its way from streetlights to parked cars.
Starscream is barely even firing back as he allows the Headmaster to do most of the destroying for him!
Needing the fight to stop, Optimus turns to his team.
"Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Kylie, help the humans evacuate immediately! Prowl, Ratchet, with me!"
Optimus, Prowl, and Ratchet rush over to the fight while Kylie, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead hurry to help the humans.
"Evacuate!" Kylie shouts at the humans inside the building, "you have to evacuate right now!"
"Come on, double time!" Bumblebee adds as they help lead the humans out.
(Jacy's POV)
As we get closer, I can see an explosion going off on a building.
"Whoa!" I exclaim, "did you see that?!"
"That's not good!" Fanzone says. I then hear him speaking into his phone. "This is Captain Fanzone! We got an explosion near the Pier!" We then see more explosions, along with rays of fire power being fired in the air. "Make that several! Send emergency units over pronto!"
I then see two large figures flying around the buildings. The first one I can identify is Starscream. The second being the Headmaster, sure enough with my body. My optics then widen in horror as Masterson fires a missile and ends up hitting a structure, blowing it up completely.
"What's Masterson doing?!" Fanzone exclaims, seeing the same thing I am.
Dread immediately fills me as I watch the fight. "Exactly what I was afraid of."
(Third POV)
Optimus, Ratchet, and Prowl rush over and look up at the fight happening above them.
"We have to get them away from the city," Optimus says.
"Might be easier said than done," Prowl comments.
Soon as they're close enough, Optimus tries to get Masterson's attention.
"Masterson!" he shouts, "You have to move the fight away from the city! You're putting the civilians in danger!"
The Headmaster looks down at Optimus. "You stay out of this, Newb!" Masterson yells, "this creeps mine to finish!" He fires a blast at the Prime, causing the Autobot to fly and fall back with a thud. Masterson then flies off to resume the fight as Prowl and Ratchet help Optimus up.
"So much for that," Ratchet says gruffly.
"Looks like we'll have to use force," Optimus says, "Though we have to be careful not to damage Jacy's body. Ratchet, see if you can stop Masterson. Prowl and I will deal with Starscream.
The group splits up and go into action.
Ratchet makes his way over towards Masterson. "Alright, punk!" Ratchet says as he activates his mod, "time to shut it down!" He gets hold of Masterson with his magnetic power, using it to try and pull him down.
Masterson looks down and sees Ratchet trying to ground him. "Hey!" he exclaims as he tries to pull free, "let go, old dude!"
"You're coming down whether you like it or not!" Ratchet argues as he keeps pulling him down.
Masterson growls but then smirks. "Wanna bet?" Activating Jacy's mod, he fires a blast at Ratchet. It hits the medic and knocks him to the ground, making his mod lose its hold on the Headmaster.
"Later, Newb!" Masterson shouts before blasting off to find Starscream.
Seeing the human flying away, Ratchet angrily slams his fist down on the road. "Crud!"
Meanwhile, Optimus and Prowl had gotten Starscream's attention and are now dodging the Decepticon's null ray attacks. Prowl throws two shuriken at Starscream, hitting him in the wing.
Starscream lets out a painful yell as the gold blades pierce into his wing. He glares at the ninja bot before ripping the shuriken off of him. "You'll pay for that, autobot scum!" he roars as he throws them to the ground.
Optimus fires his extinguishing foam at Starscream's thrusters. The foam messes with them and makes Starscream fall to the pavement with a thud. But that doesn't stop him. Soon as he's back on his pedes he continues firing.
Optimus tries to think of a plan before looking up at a large sign behind the flier. He looks at Prowl. "We have to bring that sign down." Using his axe, he throws it up at the sign, slicing one of the posts in half.
Prowl throws two more of his shuriken, destroying the remaining posts. With the supports now damaged, the sign starts falling forward.
Starscream lets out a laugh, thinking the autobots were aiming for him. "You missed!"
Prowl smirks at the Decepticon. "Did we though?"
Before Starscream could question the ninja bot, a large shadow looms over him. Looking up, he fearfully screams as the sign falls down on top of him, pinning the seeker down.
Optimus and Prowl watch as the sign flattens the Decepticon, allowing them to vent in relief.
"That should keep him down for a while," Optimus says.
Just then a fist shoots straight out from under the sign. To the two Autobots' horror, Starscream emerges and fires at them. The blast hits the two, sending them flying back before tumbling to the ground. Once they come to a stop, they each let out a painful groan as they lay there.
Starscream steps forward to finish them off before a blast hits him from behind. Turning around, he sees the Headmaster heading straight for him.
"ROUND TWO!" Masterson shouts as he fires again.
Starscream dodges before taking off into the sky. He fires back at the human as Masterson continues his attack.
Meanwhile, Ratchet runs over and helps Optimus and Prowl back up. "You alright?"
"We'll live," Optimus assures him.
The three look up to see the fight resuming, both showing no concern for the destruction they're causing.
"Now what?" Prowl asks Optimus.
(Jacy's POV)
The place looks like a warzone!
Once we arrive, Fanzone hits the brakes, making me jolt forward from the sudden stop. We both gawk at the mess around us. It looks so much worse up close. People are screaming and running for their lives down the street, trying to get somewhere safe.
We hear a whooshing sound, making us look up to see Masterson and Starscream flying overhead as they keep firing.
Masterson uses my mod to fire a strong field wave at Starscream. This only results in another structure being destroyed as a huge chunk of cement breaks off.
I shriek in terror. "Fanzone, BACK UP!"
Seeing what I see, he immediately does, seconds before the cement could crush him in his car.
"That was too close!" I say.
Wasting no time, Fanzone grabs his megaphone and gets out of his car. "Everyone, evacuate the area, NOW!" he yells as he rushes over to help the civilians trying to escape. Hopefully the emergency units arrive soon to help.
Looking over, I see another group of people running away before I notice Bumblebee and Kylie helping them evacuate.
"Kylie! Bumblebee!" I shout.
They both hear their names being called as they look over and see me.
"Jacy!" Kylie shouts as she and Bumblebee run towards me.
"You okay?" I ask her.
"Forget about me, what about YOU?!" she asks, "you're a head!"
I give her a look. "No kidding."
Hearing a scream, we look up to see Masterson falling then crashing onto the street. I can't help but let out a painful groan as I feel the pavement scrape against my back. I look over to see the others attempting to stop Starscream. At least he's being kept busy.
"I gotta get my body back from Masterson!" I say.
"Bulkhead, Fanzone and I will keep the humans moving!" Bumblebee says, "good luck ladies!"
"Let's go!" Kylie says as she rushes off without me.
I frown at her as I shout, "HEY!"
Remembering I no longer have legs, she immediately comes back and sheepishly chuckles. "Sorry!" she apologizes. Lifting me off the trailer, she carries me as she runs towards the Headmaster.
I can feel my processor shaking around with every step she takes. The sooner I get my body back the better.
Masterson groans as he sits up and holds his big robotic head. He then looks at us once we're in front of him.
"Oh great, it's you," he grumbles.
"Masterson, you gotta stop!" I tell him, "Don't you see what you're doing?!"
"Uh, duuh! I'm doing a better job of taking down Decepticons than you Lamers!"
"Not even close!" Kylie argues, "you just fired at like a dozen buildings! Can't believe I'm saying this, but you're making Starscream look good!"
"Beat it, chumps!" Masterson says as he gets back up. He then activates my thrusters and takes off into the air.
"No!" I exclaim. I watch as he flies off with my body, making me furiously shout at him. "YOU NO GOOD, WEIRD TALKING, BIG HEADED CREEP! GIVE ME BACK MY BODY!"
"Man, what a jerk!" Kylie says with a frown, "now what are we going to do?"
I let out a vent. "We help with the evacuation. Optimus and the others are the only ones who can stop Masterson and Starscream."
We continue with the evacuation and help the humans exit the buildings. I feel useless just being a head and can only shout at the citizens to keep moving. I watch as Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Kylie remove some of the debris away to help cars drive off. Fanzone is with the emergency teams as they help aid those that are injured.
The bots continue trying to break up the fight, only for the Headmaster and Starscream to fly higher out of their reach. I look back down at the humans. They're all terrified as they scramble to get out of the area. There are kids crying as they cling to their parents for comfort.
This is not good. How are we going to stop the fight?
(Third POV)
"AAAAAAAAAAH!" Masterson yells as Starscream sends him flying back into a building.
The Decepticon laughs at him. "Fool!" he shouts. "Do you really think you can defeat me?!"
The Headmaster flies out of the building and charges at him. "Hold still and let's find out, Decepticreep!"
Starscream smirks as Masterson gets closer. Shifting his thrusters, he moves a few inches to the side, making the Headmaster zoom right by him... and into another building. Starscream laughs at Masterson who is growing angrier at the Decepticon.
Once he's out of the building, Masterson locks the Headmaster unit's weapons onto Starscream. "Eat missiles, Loser!" He fires, sending them straight for the seeker.
Starscream only flies upwards and dodges the attacks. The missiles don't even have a chance to turn before they hit the building and explode.
(Jacy's POV)
I watch as Masterson fires missiles from the Headmaster unit and ends up hitting a building. The side of the building explodes with the explosion loud enough to shake the ground. Soon large chunks of cement and metal come falling down. To my horror, there are still a bunch of humans on the sidewalk. The debris is heading straight for them!
"NO!" I shout.
But before the debris could land down on them, Optimus and Prowl speed over in the nick of time and scoop up the humans. With the humans in their arms, they leap away a second before they could be crushed.
I vent in relief at this as the two mechs drop off the humans near the evacuation.
"You have to keep moving!" Optimus tells them, "Go!"
The humans listen and follow after the others. Seeing the buildings now on fire, Optimus activates his fire extinguishers and works to take out the flames.
I look over to see Bulkhead and Ratchet removing the large debris to help the cars keep moving. Prowl is even helping the humans down from the higher levels of the building and safely bringing them down.
I look back up to see Masterson again charging at Starscream. I can't help but worry about how all this is going to end.
(Third POV)
"Let's see how you like this!" Masterson says as he goes to punch the seeker.
Starscream yawns in boredom before catching the fist in his servo. Masterson tries to free himself and goes to throw a punch with the other fist, only for Starscream to catch it as well.
"Feeling tired yet, Newb?!" Masterson asks as he tries to overpower him, "cause I can do this all day!"
But to Masterson's surprise, Starscream starts evilly chuckling. Soon the chuckling turns to laughter, making the human feel very uneasy.
"What's so funny?!" Masterson asks.
"Oh nothing," Starscream smirks, "it's just this whole time you've not been holding back." He then maliciously grins, "and I have."
Activating his null rays, Starscream fires them at Jacy's wings, severely damaging them. Then roughly grabbing hold of his opponent, Starscream brings his servo back and jams his sharp digits into the Headmaster Unit's face.
Masterson screams in terror as the sharp talon like digits pierce through the metal, missing his face by inches as warning lights pop up around him. The Decepticon then rips the metal away, exposing the human to the Decepticon. Masterson is frozen in fear as he stares at the threat looking back at him.
Starscream evilly laughs. "An organic! I should have known." Grinning, he holds up the Headmaster. "Have a nice fall, fleshbag!" He then throws the Headmaster down with all his might, sending Masterson straight for the ground.
Masterson screams as the Headmaster plummets to the street. Quickly thinking, he disconnects the Headmaster Unit from Jacy's body and activates its thrusters.
The triple changer's body roughly lands on a semi-truck trailer, crushing it from the impact.
"Phew!" Masterson sighs in relief as he hovers in the air. However, his relief soon turns back to fear as Starscream fires a shot at him, destroying one of his thrusters. The human continues screaming as the Headmaster Unit spins around uncontrollably. He holds onto his seat for dear life as he collides into the street. Skidding across the pavement, the machine comes to a stop as it skids into a fire hydrant. Water shoots up from the ground as the Headmaster lays there, completely busted.
Masterson painfully groans from the inside. Though he's glad he was secure and wore a helmet, it doesn't stop him from feeling pain. "So... not... cool," he says. The airbag then goes off and hits him in the face. Having enough, he ends up blacking out.
(Jacy's POV)
I couldn't help but cry out in pain when Starscream shot at my wings. Slag that hurt! I then fearfully watch as Starscream brutally fights Masterson before throwing him to the ground.
I wince as my body slams down on a truck. Not long after, Masterson crashes down with the unit ripped open. I see Masterson still alive. Though from the looks of it, he won't be getting up for a while.
At least the Headmaster is down for the count. But now that leaves Starscream.
Starscream soon lands down and approaches Masterson. He tsks at him. "As interesting as our fight was, I found it rather boring." He aims his null ray at the Headmaster Unit, "I believe it's time we wrap this up, don't you?"
Scrap, he's going to kill him! Sure, Mastersons a jerk, but he's still human!
Without even thinking, I quickly roll over to Starscream. I then bite down on his pede, making him painfully howl as he moves his weapon away from Masterson.
"AAAGH!" Starscream yells as he looks down and tries kicking me off. "GET OFF! GET OFF!"
Losing my grip, I end up flying backwards. I let out a scream while airborne before colliding into a fruit stand. I shut my optics as fruit comes raining down on top of me, some even splattering all over. Letting out a groan, I open my optics before fearfully gasping.
Starscream laughs as he stops in front of me. "So, this is what's become of you!"
He then picks me up, his sharp digits digging into my helm as I let out a yelp.
"Slag," he continues as he looks me over, "and here I was hoping to personally be the one to separate your head from your body." He tosses my head up and catches me as if I'm a ball. "I suppose I should take you to Megatron." He then grins. "Then again, I could just terminate you here and now and say it was an accident. Decisions, decisions."
He constantly tosses my head up to aggravate me. And it's working.
Just then Starscream lets out a grunt as something knocks him forwards. I shriek as I find myself flying up into the air before Optimus jumps up and catches me. He lands on his pedes as he holds my head in his servos.
"You okay?" he asks me.
"Yeah," I say, "thanks."
We both look to see Starscream growling in our direction. He then glances at my body then smirks. "Aw well. If you can't go for the head..." he then flies over to my body and aims his weapon at my chest. "Go for the spark!"
Optimus and I fearfully watch as he charges up his weapon. Just then he is hit by a green wrecking ball, sending him straight to the ground with a thud. Before he can get back up, he's hit by soundwaves, making him cover his audio receptors.
Bulkhead and Kylie confront him as the femme continues her soundwave attack. "Give it up, Screamer!" she tells him.
Activating his thrusters, Starscream flies away from the two, only for a shuriken to fly up and hit him in the shoulder. He lets out a painful yelp before a metal beam goes flying up and whacks him from behind, sending him straight to the ground yet again. Laying on his front, he groans in pain before looking up at all of us.
The bots glare at him as they stand their ground with their weapons and mods ready.
Starscream glares back at us as he gets up on his knees. "Next time," he swears before transforming and flying away.
Everyone lowers their weapons as we watch Starscream retreat.
"Yeah, run you coward!" Bumblebee shouts as Starscream disappears out of sight.
We then hear a groan coming from the Headmaster Unit. Looking over, we see Masterson stepping out as he holds his head.
"Ugh, what happened?" he asks. The next thing he knows, he gets picked up by the back of his shirt, making him angrily kick the air. "Hey!" he exclaims as Optimus lifts him up.
The Prime then turns Masterson around so that he's facing him. "You have a lot of explaining to do," he sternly tells the human.
A limo then comes speeding over and stops in front of the bots. Powell soon steps out and approaches Optimus.
"And what do you think you're doing?!" Powell angrily asks, "is that anyway to treat this city's new hero?!"
Fanzone storms over towards him. "Your 'hero' nearly took out half the city!" the captain says angrily, "and not once did he even consider the safety of the people!"
"The Autobots saved our lives!" a man shouts at Powell.
"The Headmaster stinks!" a little boy yells.
Powell turns around to face the angry crowd. "Now, now, folks," he says with a nervous chuckle, "this was only the first try. We can work out the kinks and-"
"Forget it!" Fanzone says angrily, "I never should have agreed to this! I never want to see that machine flying around my city again! Capeesh?!"
"Now wait a minute, Captain," Powell says with a frown, "the mayor has already given the Headmaster his approval."
"Oh yeah," Fanzone says as he folds his arms and smirks, "funny you should mention that. Five minutes ago, the mayor's office called," the captain says as he holds up his phone, "he wanted me to tell you personally that Project Headmaster... is shut down."
"But this is absurd!" Powell says angrily, "you're just going to let the Autobots protect this city?! After all the damage they've caused in the past?!"
"Who cares about property damage!" Fanzone exclaims, "unlike the Heamaster, the Autobots actually care about protecting the people!" He looks at me. "Even when we lost all hope in them, they were still willing to help keep everyone safe."
I can't help but smile at him.
He looks back at Powell. "In short: The Headmaster goes, the Autobots stay!"
The crowd cheers in agreement.
Powell grinds his teeth together. "This isn't over!" he says before climbing back into his limo and having the chauffeur drive away.
Optimus puts Masterson down, allowing Fanzone to arrest him.
"This is so not cool!" Masterson says as he's being taken away by two police officers, "you haven't seen the last of me!"
"Ah shut it!" Fanzone says as they take him to an ambulance to get checked over.
The people begin cheering at the bots, happy that they are staying.
"Hey," Bulkhead says happily, "they're not scared of us anymore."
I smile at him. "Of course not. They're still alive because of all of you. You did the one thing Masterson didn't. You put their safety first."
The team smiles as they look at the crowd still cheering. Camera bots soon fly over to take pictures of us.
"Wait, don't take my picture!" Kylie says to them. She frantically dusts herself off. "Okay, now you can." She smiles big and poses for the cameras, making me roll my optics.
(Time skip)
Soon as we return to base, Sari uses her key to fix me up. The key not only reattaches my head, but also fully repairs my body, making it look good as new. Happy to have my body back, I move around and stretch my arms.
"Thanks, Sari!" I tell the girl.
"You're welcome!" she says with a smile.
"You think we've seen the last of the Headmaster?" Kylie asks.
I let out a vent. "I seriously doubt it. We only made Masterson angry."
"At least the Headmaster Unit is out of commission," Prowl says.
"Not to mention, everyone sees us as heroes again!" Bumblebee cheers with a fist pump.
"The Headmaster may be out of the picture, but we still have the Decepticons to deal with," Optimus reminds us. "And no matter what, keeping the humans safe will always be top priority."
We all nod in agreement.
After a while, I decide to step outside for some air. I sit up on the roof's edge as I stare out at the city. The night is cool tonight as a breeze blows against me. I think about everything that happened today, a part of me even feeling silly about my worries.
"Hey, Jacy!"
Hearing my name, I look over to see Kylie and Sari making their way towards me. I smile as they sit down beside me.
"We thought you could use some company," Sari says as she lets her feet dangle over the side.
I chuckle. "Nice of you to stop by."
Kylie looks at me as her blue optics glow in the dark. "How're you feeling?" she asks.
"Honestly, like my neck never left my shoulders," I say, "Being just a head is definitely an experience I never want to happen again."
"That's not what I meant," she says.
Knowing what she means, I let out a vent.
"You were right," I tell her, "I was stressing out earlier. I didn't want to admit it because... I didn't want anyone to think I was being so paranoid."
"Aw, Jacy," Kylie says comfortably as she pats my arm, "you are paranoid."
I frown at her brutal honesty. "Gee, thanks."
"Hey, it just means you care," she says, "sometimes a bit too much, but you mean well."
I vent. "I just wanted to be ready for anything. And I was afraid that with the timeline different and Airstrike in the mix, it would end horribly." A small smile forms on my face as I glance between Kylie and Sari, "But after today, when I was out of commission, I was reminded that the bots are still fighters. And they never knew what the future held. We may be here to help, but the teams still strong as ever, whether the timeline is the same or not."
Kylie smiles at me. "And with the two of us by their side, they'll be unstoppable."
"And you all got me and my dad!" Sari chimes in, "and Waldorf, even though he sleeps a lot."
We all chuckle at that.
"I can't think of a better team," I say.
Not long after we head back inside, Sari and Kylie already head off to bed. I'm about to follow until I notice Optimus sitting down reading a data pad. Wanting to talk to him, I walk over.
"Hey," I say as I gain his attention, "Mind if I join you?"
He smiles as he puts his data pad down. "Not at all."
I sit down beside him. "Sorry I wasn't much help. I should have been more careful."
"It could have happened to any one of us," Optimus says, "I'm just glad you're okay."
I quietly let out a vent. "Listen, about the last couple of days... I'm sorry. I've been stressed out and it showed. I'm sorry if I made everyone worry."
"You know you can always talk to me or anyone else if something's bothering you," he tells me, "I'm always happy to listen."
I smile at him. "Thanks. I'll keep that in mind for the next time. You know, so I don't lose my head again."
He looks at me blankly for a moment before he picks up on the joke. He then starts laughing, making me laugh along as well.
