Ugh…" Miguel groaned, trapped under his brother. He had overslept, ate too much and felt mildly sick while being majorly bloated, "Gabri, I have to get up and go to work."

"No you don't," Gabe curled into his brother's massive arms.

"I have to do training today," he rubbed the sleep from his face.

"Nooo," he whined, "Five more minutes, you're so warm."

Mig turned, laying on his back and letting his brother keep his arm, "Just five minutes. Lyla, set the alarm for five minutes."

"You got it," she took another picture.

"Time to rise and shine, sleeping beauty," Lyla played an annoying melody, "Work to be done, scowls to have."

Mig nearly crushed his brother into his chest, rushing to cover his ears, "I'm awake, turn it off, I'm up!"

"Mrph!"Gabe struggled for breath.

"Looks like everyone is nice and awake," she smiled, turning the blaring melody off.

"Can you ever just do things simply?" he checked his phone, "Ay meirda," he hurried out of the bed.

"Potty mouth," Gabe hugged his brother's pillow, "Are we still doing it a month from today?"

"Let's aim to spend a whole weekend together soon," Miguel threw water on his face and grabbed his toothbrush.

"Good plan," he yawned, pulling the blanket up over his shoulder.

Miguel hurried into HQ, Jess and Peter were already there talking between themselves.

"Sorry, dealing with Gabe ran a little over," he sighed, using his hand to brush his hair back.

"No problem, big guy," Pete pat his shoulder, "Did you have fun with your brother?"

"He attempted to end my life, but I suppose I would rather him than anyone else."

"You're mirroring Peter there," Jess smirked, poking his distended belly.

He groaned, flinching at the touch, "Don't do that. I feel nauseous."

"Maybe you should go home then," she suggested.

He started to argue that he had too much work to do, but immediately silenced himself, seeing both their concerned, yet firm expressions. Think. Think of something better to say.

"I'm just a bit bloated, I ate too much. If I don't feel better I will. Honest," he bit the pad on his thumb, glancing to the wall nervously.

Jess and Peter shared a look, her crossing her arms and Peter putting his hands on his hips.

The teens could see the body language from where they were congregated.

"Think he's in trouble?" Pavitr asked.

Hobie shrugged, "Would be amusing."

The trio disperse shortly after the interaction, all walking over

"Ok," Miguel started, "I have holes assigned for you to each to fix," he handed them the destination, "You two go with Ben," he referred to the semi love birds, "You go with Jess and you with Peter," he assigned Hobie and Pavitr .

He didn't want to do that to Jess, but he figured she would be better suited to deal with the spikey pest. And Spiderman India would do a good job babysitting Peter.

"And what about you?" Gwen asked.

"I have to do administrative work."

"Isn't that what Lyla and Margo are for?" Miles questioned.

"Have fun on your missions, don't break anything worse," he waved them off, hurrying away.

X

"So, what's up with boss man?" Hobie asked Jess, "Did you really ground him?"

"Yes I did, and that's none of your business Hobie," she rolled her eyes.

He smiled wide in amusement, "What did you do? Take his gym membership away or something? How do you ground him?"

"I give him a bedtime and take away his HQ privileges for a while. That's normally how it goes."

"Ooh, nice," he laughed, dodging items being thrown, "Well, what about you?"

"What about me?"

"Aren't you here fast after spitting another creature out?"

Jess shot a confused look in her direction, "Can you say you have no idea of a woman's anatomy any blunter?"

"You know what I mean. What about your baby?"

"He's with his daddy right now."

"Why don't you bring him?" he pushed.

"I'm waiting for him to be able to hold his head up," she dismissed.

Hobie shrugged, "Would be nice to see a new rockstar here."

Miguel spun in his chair, gripping his stomach.

"I told you not to eat so much," Lyla teased, "But no, you had to accept the challenge."

"Shut it. I'd have been fine without him being a menace and dumping all that ranch on the chicken. He knows I hate ranch."

"Yet, you still ate a quarter of your body weight in them, after dumping sriracha on it, no less."

"The sriracha made it almost edible again," he leaned his head into the chair. Truthfully he had no paperwork, he just didn't want to risk a fight while feeling like this. If Jess and Parker wanted him to relax, that was fine. But he didn't always want to be babysat while doing it.

Unfortunately for him, that break was about to be spent on the toilet.

"Good job," Pete tussled Pavitr 's hair, "You'll be doing this by yourself in no time."

Spiderman India smiled wide, "Awesome. I don't see why that's considered so hard."

Pete wasn't going to tell him Miguel always gives him some of the easier issues to fix, "You'll be surprised how few of these holes we have to fix. As long as something major doesn't happen."

Ben came back through with his kids, panting, "That…was unadulterated Bull…" he panted with his hands on his knees.

"What happened to you guys?" Pav tossed his perfect hair to the side, watching as both his friends dropped to the ground in exhaustion.

"We had to fight a clan of Godzillas!" Miles coughed up water.

Gwen groaned, "It was great, I only drowned twice."

Jess and Hobie were the last ones to come back.

"Did you three go swimming?" She and her partner raised their eyebrows at Ben and his kids.

He just returned her look with a face that looked like he sucked on a lemon, "Don't start."
