Chapter 46: Panic, Calm, PANIK!

I woke up early today and went to get something to eat. Puking all of the food I had yesterday made me even more tired than I was before. Sneaking out of the room and making sure I didn't wake anyone up, I made my way to the cafeteria with my scroll in hand.

I felt tired, I felt sick, and to top it all off I felt like I didn't get sleep last night. Every time I felt like I was finally able to sleep well, the images of what I saw woke me right up. I can usually ignore it and think nothing of it, but now I feel like this can't be ignored anymore. As I made my way towards the cafeteria I began to think of everything that I knew about these problems that I been having.

From what I remember, this started back when I was a little kid, with sudden pains in my head that I learned to deal with as I grew older. The pains back then were not this intense and usually stopped after a few hours. But I guess the problem really started to affect me, once I met Pyrrha.

Entering the cafeteria, I went to get in line to get food, I didn't care what it was, I just needed food in my body now. Feeling like my body was on auto-piolet I began to reminisce of everything that I could remember.

Since meeting Pyrrha, It was simple images that I've seen of people, people that almost resemble my team. But that couldn't be right... From what I remember they looked way older than right now. So either I'm a fucking psychic or I unlocked a third semblance that I had no idea I had... Yeah, that sounds pretty dumb on my part and BS.

Taking a seat on one of the tables I began to take little bites of my breakfast. Completely ignoring my surroundings.

If I remember correctly I did have a few more headaches as a kid but they were little ones. Nothing too serious but they did happened off and on... Wait... Sanctum was when another big headache happened... And that was when I saw a woman with black hair, amber eyes, and fire... Fire all around her.

Now did that sound like anyone I knew? Yes, two people actually, Blake and that other student... Cinder... For some reason, that person alone didn't feel right to me, and something in my heart told me to not trust her.

That feeling in my heart... There was another moment when I felt that way toward someone else... Headmaster Lion Heart. He was the first person that I truly didn't feel right about him. Sure he was Mom's Headmaster, she even told me that she didn't trust him either at that point, but he didn't seem like a bad person. But I couldn't shake that feeling away, even meeting him again only reinforced that feeling once more.

Noticing that I didn't have any more food on my tray I moved it to the side and lay my head on the table to relax a bit.

'Sigh... The more I think about this the more I feel like I'm going crazy. All of this happened since arriving here in Vale and now the intensity has gone up to eleven. Shit Seth, no need to panic. But what can I do?' As I kept thinking of something to do, I heard someone place what sounded like a cup next to me. Raising my head, I see Ren looking at me.

"Did I wake you?" I ask him but he shakes his head.

"No, I was already awake. But I did hear you leave the room, so I decided to see how you were doing." I see Ren take a seat in front of me and move a green color drink towards me. I looked at it skeptically and looked back at him.

"What's that?" I tell him as I look at the strange liquid in front of me.

"This is a blend of herbs and vegetables; it's filled with nutrients vital to your body's well-being. Seeing as you didn't eat yesterday, it can help you." Ren pushes the glass closer to me and I keep looking at it.

'Well, why not? I had way worse.' I take it and decide not to smell it. If I were to smell it then I would not drink it. "Welp bottoms up." I take a sip of it.

I then take a long chug of it trying to finish it in one gulp.

"Do you like it?" Ren asked me with a sound of hope in his voice, I raised my hand to him and just kept drinking it until it was all gone. Slamming the glass on the table and moving it to the side.

"Hell Nah! Oh God, I feel like I just ate a whole tree mix with a cabbage." I tell him as I place my head down on the table again.

"Then why did you drink it all?"

"Cause you made it. And I felt it was the right thing to do... But promise me you won't make another one. Bleh, man I feel like I just drank grass from a-" I quickly stop myself from continuing and just slam my head on the table. Raising my head again I see Ren looking at me confused over my antics. "Sorry, thanks again." Just never again.

"It's no problem." He nods at me and just sits there. We both just sat in silence for a good two minutes, so I just asked him.

"Are you going to question me or something?"

"I could, but you could easily avoid my question and try to change the subject, so I just waited for you to be the one to bring it up."

This guy.

"Thanks... So what do you want to know?" I sit up straight and wait for him to ask me something.

"Let's start from the beginning, what happened yesterday? You were doing so well in the morning and then your headaches began to act up?" Ren asked and waited for my answer.

Should I tell him the truth about this strange thing that happened to me? I mean Ren does seem like the level-headed one out of everyone in the team. But what will his reaction be to this? Will he think I'm crazy? Will he tell the others? Shit if he tells the others will they tell the others others? What can I even say to him about this?

"Seth." I looked at him, "I promise I won't tell anyone." I looked at him skeptical of that.

"Can you read minds?"

Ren simply shakes his head. "No, but I can tell from your facial expressions that you are debating among yourself. Mostly your eyes, they were going from left to right."

I do that? Huh, maybe having sunglasses does have its advantages.

"Ha, yeah..." I take a deep breath and begin. "You ever feel like, you have a bad feeling about someone, but you can't prove anything at all."

"Are you talking about the new students we saw yesterday?" Ren asked and I just nodded my head.

"Yeah, something is telling me... They are bad news."

"Have you met them before?" I shake my head 'no'.

Met them? No. Have seen them in my head? Yes. But me saying that sounds even more crazier.

"No, I haven't. But something in my heart is just telling me that I can't trust them." I grip my fist to the point that I feel it shake a bit. This feeling was anger. So much anger that I just wanted to... To ... Why do I feel like it's going away?

Blinking I looked at my hand and saw that Ren placed his hand on my wrist, holding it, and saw that his hand was glowing a pink color.

"What are you?"

"I'm calming you down. You seem like you can use it." He removes his hand from my wrist and with his hand, he motions me to continue.

"Your semblance?" Ren nods at that but he continues to motion me to keep talking. "Yeah well. Like I said I don't trust them."

"Has this ever happened before?" I nod at this but I keep quiet. "I see... Tell me do you not trust them, all of them?" Ren questioned me and I looked at him confused by it.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that you say you don't trust them and yet you somehow wanted to learn sign language for one of their members."

'Shit he's right.' Mint is a part of their team and yet when I first saw her I didn't get any bad feelings about her. Shit, she was even with them and I just acted like an ass to her team. "I see your point... So what do you suggest I do then?"

Ren closes his eyes and begins to think of a solution to my problem. It didn't take him long, because he opened his eyes again. "Give them a chance."

"Really?" Ren nods at that.

"I'll be honest here Seth, when I first saw you... I thought you were an idiot."

"Ouch." I look at him with a hurt expression.

"But after getting to know you and seeing what you can actually do, I learned that you are at least a good person and mean well to others. Sure you have your moments." I groan at that. "But at least give them a chance to get to know them. It's not every day that you meet someone new and you just up on hating them."

'Yeah well, you don't know my childhood.' As Ren finished talking I began to think about it.

I think Ren could be right. But... I don't know, I have no proof of them doing something bad, I mean I never had proof of anyone doing something bad. All of my skepticism has been over the images that I've seen and yet nothing bad has ever happend...

Sigh... This is so confusing. "I'll think about it. If anything these usually pass by me and then I continue on with my life."

Ren reluctantly nods at this not pushing the subject anymore. "That's fine. But don't be afraid to tell your friends this, I know they are also worried about you."

"Yeah... I will." I pulled out my scroll and saw that it was already eight-thirty. "We should get ready for school. I feel like we will have a long day today." I said to him as I began to get up from my seat. Ren also gets up and we begin to walk towards our Room. "Thanks Ren."

"It was no problem at all." I see him hand me a tray of pancakes and without a second thought, I knew who they were for. So I take them and carry them to our room.

"When did you get so good at talking to people? When I first met you, you usually were the quiet one."

"You can thank Nora for that. I guess not having her around makes me talk more." I nod at that as I yawn. "Are you sure you are going to be okay? I get the feeling that you didn't get sleep last night.

"Nah, I'll be fine if anything that drink that you made at least woke me up. Is it normal that I can't feel my tongue right now?" I feel like for the first time knowing Ren, I actually got him to laugh. "By the way, can you keep this between us? I rather the others not worry too much just yet."

"You should at least trust us on this. This is your health."

"I will, just give me some time." Time is all I need right now. I just hope I would at least get it. Closing my eyes I picture what looks to be the Vital festival, and then I see the chaos that happends... I'm sure I'm wrong... I'm just sure I am.

Today is the start of our Second Semester here at Beacon and by the looks of it. This is going to be a pain in the ass.

Looking around Professor Port's class I see that it was already packed with students all falling asleep from one of his many stories. These poor fools had no idea what to expect from Beacon, so I guess it was a good way to welcome them with the knowledge of the Professors. Looking around the room I see many new faces and some familiar ones. For one I could see Sun's team sitting in the front with other students from Haven as well. Some of them included Arslan and her team. Right above them I saw Team RWBY as well just doing their own thing, either sleeping in the case of Ruby and Yang, while Weiss was paying the most attention to the lecture. Blake from what I could tell was reading something but I really can't tell from here. Sitting behind them I could see more new people, like a group of four girls that are from Vacuo and Another team of Mix that came from Atlas. They all had their heads down so I guess they were not expecting this on the first day of school.

As the bell rang many students began to quickly leave and move on to their next class, Ha these poor fools have no idea what this school has in store for them all day.

"First class is done and now on to the next one. Sheesh with the amount of new faces here I was expecting things to be different here." Nora said as we began to follow her to our next class.

"Well to be fair nothing has changed, it just that we have more people in the school. So we should really not expect too many changes." Ren reminded her as we began to walk through the halls.

The halls have become even more crowded than last time. Many people pass each other bumping into one another and people piling on one another. It did make for some interesting moments.

"Hey, watch it!" "Move I need to get to class!" "Where should we go again?" "Ow! You are stepping on my shoes!" "Marco!" "Polo!" "Has anyone seen my book!"

Yep! Almost looks like how we did on our first day of school. This is way more fun for me.

As I made past the cluster fuck of people. I felt someone holding onto my jacket from the back, turning my head I didn't see anyone so I just continued to walk as to leave the huge crowd that I was in. Making it to a safe place I feel the person let go of my jacket and turn to see Mint standing there.

"..."

"..." She tilts her head at me and I just nod at her.

God damn it Seth don't be a stranger just be nice to her, she has no problems with you. "Sorry just tired." I tell her this as she continues to look at me, she then points towards her eyes and moves her hand down. I just stare at her and think what she was saying.

"Um, no I was not crying."

She gives me a deadpan expression and pulls out her scroll, after typing something she shows it to me.

"I can tell, you have bags under your eyes." Oh, so that's what she means. She pulls her scroll back and types something else, once more showing me. "Thank you for your help, it's hard to move when so many people are around."

I nod my head at her. "Sure no problem... I guess I'll see you later." I turned around and began to head to my next class.

Meanwhile Mint continues to stare at the back of Seth as he continues to move away from her. A small smirk appeared on her face and she turned around heading in the direction of her next class.

Entering my next class I see that it's once more packed. Looking around for my team I saw that they were sitting close to one another. However, it looked like there was no more room for me to sit with them. Shrugging at this I made my way towards another place for me to sit. Seeing that my options were limited, I opted to go and sit next to someone new.

Taking my seat I turn my head to the person next to me. A girl with dark red hair and light-tanned skin. I shrug and lay my head down, trying to get a couple of minutes of sleep.

...

But I felt my scroll buzz and pulled it out only to see that I got a text from Nora.

'What does she want?' Opening it I saw that it only said. "Really? (-_-)"

'What the hell does that mean!?' Raising my head I turn to face her only to get the same reaction from Ren, Nora, and Pyrrha. I mouth to them 'What?' and see them all wave at me.

Turning back to my desk I just lay my head down out of frustration. Honestly, this day has just started and now it has been going somewhat mixed for me. Oh well, if anything I'm sure it will be alright. This was only the first day.

It was Friday now and for some reason, I felt like something was going to happen today. These past few days have been somewhat eventful for us. After Tuesday the team decided that after classes we go out and get back into training. We all tried to make the best of it and get into our original schedule but now with the great increase of people here, it was kind of hard to find a good place to train. Usually, we all go to the forest to train but we started to notice that a few other students here had the same idea as us. Also, it didn't help that people were also following Pyrrha around for her attention. Really starting to miss only having Beacon students here. But whatever we did our best.

On Wednesday I was able to get my sunglasses back from Yang. It was during combat class that I got them back. For some reason, she was hoping for a fight, but Miss Goodwitch, bless her. Told us that today was not a fight day for us. Good for me but bad for Yang. She told us that starting Friday we will be sharing combat classes with other students as well so there will be an increase in students about and a decrease in fights. I can understand that since there were now a lot more people to go around, so I hope I don't get to fight a lot. I spoke too soon as I entered Friday's combat class.

Thursday was a less eventful day for us. Sun finally got to introduce his team to us. Apparently, they have been hanging around team RWBY and all got accustomed to each other so they have been good friends so far. But now it was our turn to get to know one another. What can I say about them... Well, at least they are nice. Scarlet seems way too nice to everyone and Sage, honestly, I can't get a read on that guy. But at least they were friendly. It has also been a few days since the last time I saw Mint. No idea where she has been or her team. But I guess they will turn up eventually. This is a big school after all, so they will bound to turn up. So a good sign for me, I have been calm ever since and back to my old ways.

"Mister Sapphire!" I regain my focus and look back at Miss Goodwitch who was calling for me.

"Yes!"

"Get ready. You have just been challenged." She tells me and I look around to find my opponent...

"Fuck." I said to myself as I got up and went to get my weapon. As I was about to head inside the locker room I heard my name get called out.

"Sapphire!" Turning my body around I see Arslan walk towards me.

"Yes?" I asked as I saw her stop right in front of me.

"Hand-to-hand combat, do you accept." It didn't sound like a question, more like a demand from her.

Thinking about it, I nod my head at her request. "Sure. Save me the bullets." I see her nod at this and walk past me. For some strange reason, I could hear her say something about a 'good rival.' I didn't want to question it so I just let it go and head inside to get change.

'Okay, so I'm fighting Arslan again. What can I expect?' Fire, punches, kicks, the whole shabang and since she wants this to be a hand-to-hand fight I guess I can expect her to go all out on this." As I was about to put on my jacket a thought came to me. 'She might try to grab me by my scarf again. Well, I can probably not where this... Unless.' Sometimes My Genius Is Almost Frightening.

Outside in the stands, we see the rest of Team JNRP and RBN sitting amongst eachother waiting for their teammates to come out.

"It's finally happening, the rematch that Arslan has been waiting for." Reese said as he was waiting impatiently for the two.

"Yep, ever since those two fought, Arslan has been training nonstop for this. We had to make sure she took enough breaks for her to get back to one hundred percent." Bolin added earning the stares of Ren, Nora, Jaune, and Nadir.

"Just how serious is this rivalry between the two?" Ren asked and Bolin answered.

"Well, Arslan is taking it seriously, while Seth has no idea how much this means for her."

"That's right, ever since they first fought, they were tied up. So now that they both had time to train and make it this far. It's finally time to settle the score between the 'Golden Lion of Haven Academy and the Shadow Tiger of Beacon Academy." Reese finishes off by giving her new friends the rundown.

...

"The What?" Team JNPR said in unison.

"Oh right, you guys don't know. Ever since that fight, Seth has earned himself some type of reputation out in Mistral. Many people started to give him that nickname ever since he shouted it. But don't tell him we said that. We don't want him to get an ego right." Bolin explains to the rest.

"That's a cool nickname!" Nora exclaims.

"Right!" Reese agreed with Nora high-fiving each other.

"When did that start?" Pyrrha asked.

"Ugh... Sometime after you guys left, since people were recording the fight word got out fast. He even got the attention of some students in Haven." Bolin told Pyrrha wiggling his eyebrows at her, earning a jab from Reese.

"Don't listen to him Pyrrha." Reese told her and leaned close to her. "But he is getting a lot of attention from the girls especially." That got Pyrrha to blush and quickly shook her head.

"Ugh, guys. He is doing it again." Their attention went to Jaune who was just pointing at the entrance of the locker room. Looking toward the locker room they see both competitors step out and walk towards the ring. Arslan was dressed in her usual combat attire ready for battle. While Seth walked out with the attire that he wore when he fought Jaune, the only exception this time was that his sunglasses were on and he had his blue gloves this time.

"Seth! You promised us that you were not going to do this again!" Pyrrha yelled at his friends with an upset voice.

"I'm not acting like a jerk this time! I'm taking this fight seriously!" Seth yelled back at her while raising his hands above his head.

"As you should." Arslan told him as she stepped into the ring. Seth just rubs his face at that and begins to enter the ring as well.

"Any reason why Shades is pulling a jerk again?" A new voice was heard as both teams looked to see team RWBY sitting right behind them.

"Nope." "No idea." "I have no clue." "To end this rivalry!"

"Ugh, what?" Ruby asked.

"It's a long story." The three teams looked back in the direction of the two in the ring, both warming up and preparing to fight.

As we heard Professor Goodwitch explain the rules I began to get my game face on. Looking at Arslan she was also warming up from here and I could see that her eyes were on me. It's been a good while since we last fought. I can't wait to see how much we both have improved in our style of fighting. Looking around the room I could see my team, Arslan's team, and Team RWBY all sitting close to each other. No doubt both of our respective teams will be cheering for us, so let's give them a show. As I kept looking around the room I saw even more new faces all looking at us. This was the third fight, and I could tell people were enjoying them does far. I was about to pay attention back to Arslan, that was until I saw a face that I hadn't seen in a while.

Mint was sitting all the way in the back of the class, I think she saw me looking at her cause the next thing she did was wave toward me, and by instinct, I waved back.

'Wait, if she is here.' I looked around to look for them but had no luck. I didn't see the rest of her teammates. 'Well, that's good. At least I can stay calm and focus on the fight on hand.'

Facing Arslan I saw that she was getting ready to charge, so I began to get in my fighting stance and wait for Miss Goodwitch's word.

"You two may begin." The buzzer rang and we both charged the fight was on.

...

Man, I'm so happy that I didn't wear my jacket for this fight.

Arslan quickly activated her semblance, covering her hands with fire as she got close to Seth. Seeing this, Seth quickly begins to sing as he gets close to her as well.

"Row! Row! Fight the power!" Activating his own Semblance both competitors began their intense battle up close.

"Semblance off the bat? Man, these two must really have it out for each other." Yang said as she watched Seth parry and block most of Arslan's blows. For some reason, she felt a hint of jealousy over it.

"I mean Arslan is, don't know too much about Seth, but he does seem to be enjoying this." Nadir said as he watched his partner now play defensively as Seth began his own counterattack. Sending a mix of punches and kicks with wind infuse.

As both combatants continue their aggressive approach to one another, a furry of combos and strikes land on one another. Taking advantage of the other as they tried to recover from the other's attack. It didn't matter if it was close range or long range, both continued to outdo the other attacks, either with strong punches or kicks or a mixture of fireballs and Air slashes.

As both teams continued to cheer for their respected teammates all of the people in the stands began to pay more and more attention as both continued to fight on.

"Go, Arslan! Kick his Butt!" Reese cheered for her leader trying to get her support.

"Kick her butt, Seth!" Nora also cheered for her teammate. Nora turned to her team as well and saw that both Ren and Jaune were also focused on the match on hand, however when she turned to Pyrrha she gave her a knowing smile.

Behind the two teams, Team RWBY continues to watch the fight as well.

"These two are really going at it. I've never seen Seth use his semblance like this before." Ruby commented as she saw her friend on the ground taking a knee. As Arslan went for a jumping kick, Seth quickly raised his head and with wind around his legs jumped as well, you could even hear him yell 'Flash kick' when he jumped towards Arslan, kicking her under her jaw. Ruby upon seeing that, rubbed her lower jaw as well.

"Yeah, this is Bull-" Yang was going to say but Weiss quickly cut her off.

"Yang! Language."

"But it is! We had something special and now he is using it against someone else."

"Ugh, you two are unbearable!" Weiss said as she looked back at the match, Seeing Seth closeline Arslan and in retort, she kicked him in the back of his head as she went down. Made this match even slightly more enjoyable for her.

Blake meanwhile just continued to watch, debating with herself if she should also include Seth in their plan tomorrow.

Rolling away from the kick that Arslan gave him, Seth quickly got back on his knees and saw Arslan kickflip back up from the ground, both smiling at each other as they continued to send fireballs and air slashes toward each other. Either connecting on impact with each other or avoiding them.

With the results being the same both rush each other once more to try and end the fight. After another grueling seven minutes, the end result of the fight was once more a draw.

It ended when both parties went to deliver a hard punch to each other's faces. Just like last time Arslan had her fist filled with Fire and Seth's fist with Wind. Both deliver the punch creating a small explosion in the center of the ring nearly destroying it in the process. As both lay down on the ground Arslan got up first and went towards Seth's side.

"A tie again." Arslan said as she looked down at Seth's body.

"Don't just stand there, give me a hand." Seth said as he looked back at her. Suddenly Arslan hands began to be covered in fire again as she heard Seth plead.

"Nope. I'm actually okay, thank you very MUCH!" Seth screams the last part out as Arslan picks him up from the ground. Quickly removing her hands from him Seth begins to tap his body from the heat.

"Ow! Really?" Seth said as he looked at his opponent. Arslan simply shrugs at him.

"What? You said you wanted help, so I did." She gets close to him and taps him in his chest. "Next time, we will settle this. Seth." She sends him a smile his way and with that, she walks past him. Beginning to head back to the locker room.

'Yeah, next time. I hope it's nowhere sooner then.' Seth turned to his team and saw them all wave at him, from here he could tell they were at least happy with the fight they just had. Turning his head once more to his other friend he noticed that Mint was not there anymore. Shrugging at that, he begins to enter the locker room as well.

The Next Day

"Man, my neck is still stiff from yesterday." I said as I began to rub it.

"You mean from the kick from Arslan or the fact that you woke up on the wrong side of the bed." I turned to Pyrrha who made that comment and just looked at her, she simply chuckled at me and turned back to pay attention to Professor Port's story.

"Probably both. But at least it's calmed down a bit." I said as I focused on the part that hurt and felt my Aura do the work.

"Well, at least the good thing is that you are at least getting better sleep now. These last few days you haven't been feeling too well. Are you having nightmares?" Pyrrha asked and I just waved my hand towards her.

"Nah, not anymore. It was just a few headaches, but now I feel much better now that I had some time. Like I said before, they usually die down after a big one."

"Are you sure?" I looked at her and saw that she had a worried look on her face. I smile at that and nod.

"I am, if anything things are finally looking up for me again." I said as I looked back toward the front of the class. However, I saw something that caught my eye. "What is Jaune doing?"

"He's trying to get Weiss to go on a date. Apparently, he has some tickets for a new movie that is coming out. So, he's trying his luck today."

I see, well from what I am seeing he is not doing great. The bell rang and everyone began to get up to leave. As I got up as well, I saw that Weiss got up from her seat and was saying 'No' a bunch of times, which made Jaune slam his head on the desk.

"That poor guy, he needs to learn when to take a hint." I said as I shook my head towards him. I turned towards Pyrrha and saw that she was looking at me, not amused at all. "What?"

"Nothing... Just thinking of a pot and a kettle."

"Huh?"

"Nothing Seth, so what are your plans for today? Ren and Nora said they were going to hang out so-" Pyrrha was soon cut off by my scroll buzzing. Pulling it out I saw that I got a text from Penny. With wide eyes, I open it and read it.

'Hello Seth, I wish to discuss something with you today at your latest inconvenient.' This looks weird, for one Penny usually calls me if she wants to hang out. And since this was the first time hearing from her in over a few weeks I get the feeling this is important.

I turned towards Pyrrha and told her that I needed to go, that it was something important. As I said this I saw her smile and nod at me, saying she understood. I say goodbye to her and begin to leave while sending Penny a text to ask to meet up. Whatever she had planned I need to know if she was alright after that night.

She in response sent me some coordinates that I didn't get, but once I put them in the map app on my scroll I saw that she wanted to meet at the transmission tower close to the school. A weird place to meet up, but whatever.

First I decided to go change before I met up with her. I rather not be in my uniform and be in something more comfortable. After changing I finally went to the place she wanted to meet. The walk wasn't too far but trying to find her might be a bit of a challenge. Since there were so many people around.

"Seth." Hearing my name I turned and saw Penny right there. Okay, never mind about finding her. She always finds me first.

"Penny, it's good to see you again." I prepared for a hug, but it never came. So I just knew something was off. "Is everything okay?" I asked and saw that she was not looking directly at me.

...

"Penny?" It took her a few seconds to respond but once she did, what she said next got me even more confused.

"Seth. I am sorry, but I wish to break up with you." Penny said to me as she finally looked at me.

...

'Okay, maybe this is the right time to PANIK!'

"Huh?"

Omake: Hearth Day Special.

It was a quiet peace full day today, the sun was out, no clouds in the sky and the birds were singing their song. Yep, it was a nice relaxing day for me. Nothing can go wrong.

SLAM!

Me and my big mouth.

"Seth! I need your help!" As the door opens Nora comes barging into our room making me look up from my book.

"What?"

"I need you to teach me how to sing."

...

Blinking at this I just had to ask. "Okay, but why though?"

"Do you not know what today is?" She tells me and I just pulled out my scroll to see the date. "It's the-" I get quickly cut off by Nora.

"It's the fourteen! That means it's Cupid Day! And I need your help." I continue to look at her and back at my scroll.

"Nora it's not the fourteen, today is the-" She quickly shushes me with her hand.

"Shhh, Seth. This is non-Cannon right now."

"Huh?"

"Nothing, Anyway will you help me?" Not trying to get even more confused than I already was, I just nod my head at her.

"Great! So help me sing better!"

"Nora, singing is something that you just do, it's an expression that only you can do." I close my book and get up from my seat. "Whatever you are feeling just let it out. Go ahead let me hear you sing."

"Are you sure?" She asks and I nod my head at her,

"Go ahead, let me see what I can work with." I stand right next to the window and wait for her to begin; Nora seems a little embarrassed by this and I just nod to her. After a few seconds, she begins.

Outside of the dorm rooms, a peaceful scenery is set, nearly everyone was enjoying this nice fine day. That is until a huge sonic boom sets up a huge shock wave, making every window at Beacon explode. Students who were playing had their TVs explode on them, People with Glasses had their glasses explode on them, and on top of a tower a Headmaster was drinking out of his cup relaxing, that was until it exploded right on his hand. Making said headmaster cry out in fear, pain, and sadness, over the loss of his mug.

But back inside JNPRS Room Seth just stood his ground as he went to cover Nora's mouth. Surprising the girl.

"Sigh... We have a lot of work to do." I tell her as I remove my hand from her mouth.

"Can we do it in under two hours?"

"Nora what you are asking is impossible."

"Non-canon remember."

"I don't know what that means. But I think I know just what we need." I said to her as I smiled.

"Montage?"

I nod at this "Montage."

Two hours later.

I can't believe that worked. After nearly two hours of practice and many attempts to get Nora in sync with her tempo. We were finally able to get her to sing well... You know what I didn't ask why she needed to get good at singing.

"Nora, why did we do this again?" I asked her and saw that she was dressed up for some reason.

"I'm going to sing a song."

"Okay, what song?"

...

"Oh! So that's what we forgot." Nora said to me as she was rubbing the back of her head.

I slam my hand on my face. "I knew we forgot something."

"What should we do?" I saw Nora panic a bit and I just thought of a plan but with the limited time, we might not be able to do it.

"I can lend you one of my songs. But you will have to remember it in one go."

"Oh! No that will be easy."

"What?"

"I read all of your songs Seth, I think I know all of them by now."

"What?"

"Seth, you let me borrow your notebook for so long I think I got this. Which one can I sing?" I had some questions for her, but I just remembered that this was Nora I was talking to.

"Whatever you think is possible. It's up to you." Nora begins to think of a song, and I just wait for her response. I then see her eyes light up and smile at me.

"I got one!" She whispers it to me and my eyes light up.

"Okay, but that one needs a backup singer." I tell her and see her look at me with a pleading face.

...

"Sigh... Why not."

"Perfect! Here is your outfit." She suddenly pulls out a tux with a blue tie and hands it to me. I really wanted to question her at this point but I feel I was too far into this commitment.

After putting it on I get dragged by Nora towards the cafeteria. For some reason I felt my stomach do flips as I got close to it. I think for once I was scared of what was going to be behind those doors.

"Okay, Seth are you ready?" Nora asked me as I looked at her.

"What exactly am I getting myself into Here?" I asked and only got a smile in response.

"We are helping each other out here... Well, more like helping the others out. But who cares? Let's do this." She grabs my arm and drags me inside.

Inside the cafeteria, we saw that it was packed with students all sitting down and looking towards the front of the place, hearing the doors open they all turned and saw who entered giving us a strange look.

"What's the plan Nora." I whisper to her as she just drags me towards the front.

"We are going to perform the song in front of everyone. It's a special day today so let's give these people a show!" Fuck me this was a performance and I got dragged into it.

"Seth? Nora?" We heard our names and turned to see our friends and teammates look at us. Nora simply waves at them, and I just wave as well as we pass them.

Getting in front of the cafeteria Nora soon gets a mic and hands it to me, taking it from her I see her nod her head at me and I look back at the crowd just looking at us.

Closing my eyes I begin to gain my confidence in this. Taking a deep breath I open my eyes and smile.

"Let's do this!" "Yeah!"

Tapping my heart the song begins to play.

Nora: La, la, la, la-la-la

La, la-la-la, la, la-la-la

Nora: A hopeless romantic all my life

Surrounded by couples all the time

I guess I should take it as a sign

Seth:(Oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why?)

Nora: I'm feelin' lonely

Seth: (Lonely)

Nora: Oh, I wish I'd find a lover that could hold me

Seth: (Hold me)

Nora: Now I'm crying in my room. So skeptical of love

Seth: (Say what you say, but I want it more)

Nora: But still, I want it more, more, more

I gave a second chance to Cupid

But now I'm left here feelin' stupid

As we both continued to sing we noticed that everyone was paying attention to us. Everyone also had their scrolls out and began recording this as well. I soon took a step forward taking this next part.

Seth: I wish that I wasn't so naive (Ah-ah)

And she didn't turn me on so well (Ah-ah)

Nora: (Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow, oh wow)

And what else is there for me to do?

I gave him one chance, I gave him two

But "third time's the charm" ain't always true

Nora & Seth: I gave a second chance to Cupid

But now I'm left here feelin' stupid

I then look at Nora who was smiling the whole time, honestly I'm surprised. She was a really good singer in this short period of time. Looking around the room I turn to our friends and their reactions say it all. Ruby had her scroll out with Yang, who had a red face. Weiss looked so shocked that her face was red as well. Blake looked amused by us that she was writing something in a journal. Meanwhile, our Teammates looked even more shocked by us doing this. Jaune had an aw-struck look on his face, Ren had a red face that I don't think he was expecting this, and Pyrrha's face was so red that it matched with her hair.

Seth: Hopeless girl is seeking

Someone who will share this feeling

Nora: I'm a fool

Nora & Seth: I gave a second chance to Cupid

Seth:(Hopeless girl is seeking someone)

Nora: Cupid is so dumb

As the song finishes Nora takes my hand and we both bow towards the crowd. For a short period, it was filled with silence, that we both thought we had done something bad, but eventually, we heard people begin to clap and that put us back at ease. Raising our heads we bowed once more and began to head towards our teammates.

"So what do you guys think?" Nora was the first to ask but soon Ren got up from his seat and took Nora's hand.

"It worked!" Nora said as she got pulled out of the cafeteria.

"Huh? Who knew that was her plan? Well, my job here is done." I was about to head out but was quickly stopped by hands holding onto my shoulder. Turning around I saw that Both Pyrrha and Yang had them in a tight grip. "Yes?" I said quietly.

"Dinner." "Clubbing." Both looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Now." I wanted to argue but something told me to not. I just nod my head and let them drag me out.

What was it that Nora said to me? Something about cannon?
