Yuya's counterparts had known that Yuya was pretty acrobatic, but they hadn't realized just how acrobatic he was until they saw him in his gymnastics class for the first time. He genuinely looked like an Olympic-level gymnast, flipping and vaulting and swinging like he'd been doing it since he was a baby! Honestly, he probably had been doing it since he was a baby, or at the very least since he was a toddler.

Yugo kept at the edge of his seat as he watched Yuya, wide-eyed and absolutely certain that a mistake would happen and Yuya would fall and get hurt. It never happened. Yuya was better at gymnastics than any of his fellow gymnasts that were training with him, and it showed.

Yuto was also watching closely, though he had more faith in Yuya's skills. A soft smile crossed the eggplant's face as he watched Yuya backflip off the rings and land perfectly on the mat.

Yuri, meanwhile, was more focused on watching Yuya's body than his skills. The tomato's form was excellent, at least in the cabbage-head's opinion, and he appeared to have very little trouble with anything he did. The very little trouble he did have appeared to be localized entirely in one of the gymnastics thingies. What was it called? Apparel? No, apparent? No… Something that started with a-p-p-a-r, he was sure of it. Whatever it was called, those rings seemed to be the only thing Yuya struggled with even a tiny bit. Yuri noted the look of apprehension and dread on the tomato's face as he practiced on them.

Yuya sighed in satisfaction as his gymnastics class came to an end. Coach smiled at him, "You know, I was expecting you to have a bit of catching up to do after so long away from your training. But I was wrong! You were still practicing even during your time in the war, weren't you?"

"Yessir!" Yuya said, smiling proudly. Coach grinned, "It shows! If anything, your skills have improved since your last training session!"

Coach looked around at all the kids he was training at the moment, and started to speak. Before he could say anything to them though, his phone rang. He checked it, then sighed and said, "I have to take this call. I'll be right back! We'll get started on conditioning when I get back!"

He hurried out of the gymnasium, and closed the door behind him. The moment the door shut, the kids all bolted. Each and every one of them fled in a different direction to hide. One kid hid under a mat, while another hid behind a pile of mats. A third kid appeared to be trying to camouflage with the wall. And a fourth kid tried to wrap a mat around himself like a wall.

Even Yuya appeared to be participating in the hiding. Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo watched in confusion and amusement as Yuya vaulted into a foam pit and buried himself deep inside out of view. Out of all the hiding kids, Yuya's hiding spot was the best.

Coach came back a few minutes later. "Alright, time for conditionin—Oh my god, you guys! It's not that bad! Why do you always hide? I can see you, you know! Come here, right now! Riku, I can see you under that mat. Hiroshi, your hair is poking out from behind that pile. Haruto, really? You couldn't have picked a better hiding spot than the wall? Akira, you always hide in that mat."

The four gymnasts that had been named reluctantly came out of "hiding" as Coach looked around for his final missing student. When he didn't see him, he frowned. "Yuya's gotten better at hiding…" he muttered. He spotted Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo watching from their seats. "You three didn't happen to see where Yuya went, did you?"

The three counterparts closed their mouths and didn't say anything. Yuri's shoulders were shaking from trying not to laugh. Coach sighed and called out, "Yuya, you're not going to leave until you do your conditioning!"

"How do you know he hasn't already left?" Yugo asked. Coach frowned. "Well I'm guessing you three wouldn't still be here if he had."

"Damn, you got me there," Yugo said. Yuto frowned, "Why did everyone hide?"

Coach sighed. "Conditioning is strength exercises, and the kids hate it. But it's required. Yuya! Where are you?"

Yuya remained hidden in his foam pit tomb. He was not about to give in and do those awful conditioning exercises! Oh, how he hated conditioning! He didn't know which was worse, conditioning or the rings. The rings were his least favorite apparatus, and Yuya hated conditioning with all his heart. His disdain for both was close to being equal.

Suddenly, Yoko walked into the room. Apparently she had come to pick up Yuya and his counterparts. When Coach saw her, he gave a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank god you're here… Yuya's hiding from his conditioning again! Do you think you can coax him out?"

"Oh, of course!" Yoko said, smiling. Then her voice got stern. "Yuya, come out here right now! I'm going to count to three—"

"No wait!" Yuya's yelp could be heard from the pit. "I'm coming! I'm coming!" His head popped up from the foam after a few moments, and he began making his way to the edge of the pit as fast as he could. He scrambled out of the pit and rushed over to Coach. "No counting!"

Yuri couldn't hold back his laughter any longer, snickering maniacally. Yuya glared at him with a pout.

"Alright, we're going to be doing five exercises, and then you guys can go shower and go home," Coach said. "Today we'll be doing hollow body holds, v-ups, arch-ups, push-ups, and calf raises. Let's start with the hollow body holds."

Yuya sighed as he finished changing into his normal clothes after his shower. He was a bit embarrassed that his counterparts had seen his reaction to his mother threatening to count. He was sure they had never had to deal with such an experience in their lives.

But as he came out of the changing room, he noticed that his counterparts didn't appear to be judging him at all. In fact, they appeared to have completely forgotten about the whole thing. Yugo was excitedly talking to Yoko about how cool Yuya was when he was training, and Yuri and Yuto were giving their input whenever the blunana paused for breath.

Yoko noticed Yuya approaching and smiled. "There you are! C'mon, we're going to stop at the house just long enough for you to drop off your bag, and then we're going to the mall! I've got four sons now, and I'm going to pamper all of you! Oh, I'm so excited!"
