"What?" Nagito asked his thin white eyebrow raised
"I am not sure on all the details, but with all of these oddities, you fit surprisingly well" Byakuya stated
"What do you mean, don't you remember? We already discussed this you and I have alibis neither one of us can be the killer" Nagito told Byakuya
"That's what it made it stand out," Byakuya said with force
"What?"
"Well when it was pointed out that you and I had an alibi I started to think about how strange it was...then finally it dawned on me the note, the idea for having the party all were your doing weren't they?"
'Note?' I thought briefly before Nagito spoke again
"I am not sure what you mean by note but me suggesting the location of the party is just a coincidence"
"Before we dig further into this Byakuya would you explain what this "note" was?" Peko asked
"Hm, yes I am sorry my claim means a bit less without the proper information...I...am...sorry for hiding this...I just didn't want to cause a panic and make someone kill another...but that seems void now" Byakuya said his large head held down as you could feel the sorrow in his tone, the failure of a job he did as a leader hanging heavy on his mind
"This...note was left in my dorm...I needed to do something to make this preventable so I gathered everyone for a party" Byakuya said as he showed off a note

"So that's why you think I did it, I was near Fuyuhiko, I gave out the idea for the old building to be used then I was the only one with an alibi that was in the dining hall beside you, but I am telling you it's just a coincidence," Nagito said sweat dripping down his forehead
"If it was just one coincidence, it'd fine...But when it's one after another I wonder… Is something like that even possible"
"I wonder did you try to get cleaning duty to make this easier?" Mahiru asked
"Yeah now that you mention it… Nagito did prepare the drawing to pick who cleaned the old building" Nekomaru stated with a chin scratch
"But the only question remains...why did you fail to get the stick? Surely you would have rigged it and not leave it up to luck"
Oddly the pained face that Nagito had up till now cracked and a brief smirk emerged onto his pale face though it soon disappeared and his pained face quickly returned it was so quick I am not sure if it was just my eyes playing tricks
"I don't know if your the killer or not, but… Regardless, it's pretty suspicious, right?" Chiaki said with a thin finger on her chin
"Gh...gh-gh!" Nagito grunted out
"If that's the case… That strange speech you made earlier… That was part of your plan, too" Nekomaru said cracking his knuckles
"I still think it's highly possible that the stupid nurse did it but if you did it then you tried to lower our guard with that shit didn't you!" Hiyoko yelled with an accusing finger
"Well? Did you do it?" Mahiru asked she seemed still unsure and I could feel that Nagito couldn't do it right? It was possible...right?
"Ngh...Ngh!..!" Nagito grunted again
"N-Nagito, tell m-me you object to th-this… F-Frankly, I-I don't want to be-believe it ei-either… you hel-helped me... Both you and C-Chiaki helped me...you were s-so nice...you c-can't be the one who killed Fuyuhiko I know it!" I yell out to the pale boy
"Ngh….nghhhh…!" he just continued to grunt
"Nagito say something" I yell my voice for one of the few times actually had a force of authority
"Ah" suddenly a soft sound came forth
"AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA!" Suddenly out of nowhere, Nagito laughed his face wide with a delirious grin his face almost seemed demonic as he laughed so loud and hard but that wasn't what I was drawn to it was his eyes the darkness shone brightly as if layers upon layers of darkness were folding into each other as if hope and despair were crudely mixed together
"The Ultimates are working together to combat the despair of their's friend's death! Ah how wonderful, how beautiful it is! It's even better than I hoped for you all shine so beautifully" Nagito spoke his voice sounded almost intoxicated
"Now! Let's cut to the chase...You're correct! It was my doing all along!" he said with that smile that I thought I misunderstood as creepy, which now feels long ago but now I once again felt crept out about that smile
"I was the one who set up the power outage! I was the one who bashed Fuyuhiko with a wrench! I was the one who planted the note! I was the one who suggested the old building and planned to use it for murder!" Nagito explained
"I-Is it just me or… does he seem a little nuts right now?" Ibuki said going a bit back into her teasing tone but didn't last long
"Yeah he reminds me of a certain crazy nurse," Hiyoko said snidely
"With this twist ending like this, I think we can all agree this ended up being a very interesting mystery. HAHAHHA! Fuyuhiko you performed admirably!"
"What did you just say!?" Peko asked him
"I just said the truth, I would never lie! There's no way someone like me could ever lie to you guys! I understand better than anyone else that I'm ultimately worthless. I'm too arrogant to have dreams or cling to hope. I'm too disdainful to actually try at anything. I've made peace with the fact that I'm a lowly, stupid, insignificant human who can't do anything right." Nagito ranted his madness seemed to grow further
"..." Peko was just staring at him before she spoke
"Monokuma" she spoke anger peeking out of her voice
"Hm?" Monokuma said looking at her
"What would happen if there was a murder during a trial?"

"Uh...it's not allowed…" Monokuma said his voice unceratian
"I...See" she said as she seemed to calm down a bit but she continued to stare at Nagito
"...why did you not get the stick?" Mahiru asked him
"..."
"Hehe" Nagito let out a small laugh
"Why didn't you rig it if you are the murderer?" Mahiru pushed
"Hehe because originally I didn't need to rig it" he answered with a wide smile
"What?" Byakuya asked
"Hehe of course no one would remember my worthless talent"
'Nagito's talent...yes it has to be!'
"You're the ultimate lucky student you didn't think you needed to rig it if you had luck but it turned against you…" I stated
"Hehe but your wrong, my luck didn't work against me, it simply lead me to another truth, as it usually does but that's not here nor there," Nagito said with a joyous tone
"I just have a question for you, why did you kill Fuyuhiko?" Byakuya asked his voice calm though there was a hint of unsteadiness
"Interesting you asked that question Byakuya," Nagito said creepily
"What do mean by that?" Byakuya asked his voice becoming shakier
"I wanted to kill you"

Silence washed over the trial as everyone was silent eyes wide at that statement
"What!?" Byakuya yelled out
"Heheheh it's simple what would have been a greater stepping stone for hope than the leader themselves? Oh, how wonderful it would have been I imagine if that happened then Hajime and I would be the ones investigating your body" Nagito stated he seemed so uncaring it was like the opposite of his earlier personality so caring and helpful but..now he just admitted to planing on killing on Byakuya
"It was perfectly planed too ohh, the symbols of hope using the death of their beloved leader to rise to even greater hopes! Ahahahahha! That is my only motivation!" Nagito continued his raspy voice like sandpaper on my ear
"Y-Your not making any sense!" Nekomaru yelled out his deep voice echoing across the trial room
"Tch and I thought pig shit was insane...but he's even loopier no wonder he believed her let's just start the vote already!" Hiyoko yelled out
"Please Monokuma!" Ibuki yelled
"You didn't answer my question!" Byakuya yelled out his voice seemed calm but the small trickle of sweat seemed to show that he wasn't as calm as he appeared
"I had a change of plans that's all," he said simply
'Something feels off….yes it has to be that!'
"Y-You wouldn't j-just change your t-target especially if y-you wh-what you said was true, and I-I don't really b-believe you killed him, you said it y-yourself you want to raise h-hope and what hope would arise from his death? Wi-With Byakuya I-I can see it but n-not Fuyuhiko" I say but it felt off like back then when I noticed the minut details of Usami's facial expressions, it was similar like information just flooding my brain from little information I had, but it made sense what I said
"Are you saying that Nagito didn't kill him?" Mahiru said seemingly shocked
"Ah what excellent observations Hajime, it does seem odd doesn't it? Why with the motive I gave you would I then kill another person?" Nagito said his smile growing wider
"N-Not just that, I still h-have another question a-after you fell onto B-Byakuya how were y-you able to get y-yourself back up a-and find yourself t-to Fuyuhiko to kill him," I ask once again
"You're right, now that I think about it I felt Nagito on top of me the entire time...how could I forget something like that?" Byakuya said before shaking his head
"He so you're saying it's impossible for me to kill Fuyuhiko?" He asked
"Yes"
"..."
It was a tense silence as it seemed as if Nagito was thinking about something before
"Ah, well since you are showing such amazing observations on such little information, I should give you something as appreciation… I am not the killer, in fact, I am disappointed in the killer"
