AN: This story takes place in another timeline if some were confused. Also, I figure since N has the Modern Zorua in his team, I think Helena should have one, a certain Normal/Ghost-type Pokemon when the time comes for Helena to return.

Ch 53 A Chance Meeting

Bianca slams her hands on the table, not expecting Professor Juniper once dated. "Professor Juniper, you dated Professor Ceder!?" The blonde trainer asked,

"Oh yes, we dated for a few months until he left to continue his Journey." Professor Juniper explains their history to the young girls around them.

"So you left on good terms then?" Hilda asked the two, curious about their relationship in the past.

Adam nodded, confirming what the dark brunette trainer said. "Of course, if we aren't then we wouldn't be talking now." The blue and blonde-haired Professor stated.

They laugh, catching the joke Professor Ceder made regarding their relationship with the brunette Professor.

Professor Juniper sighs before looking at Helena. "So, Helena how's studying under Professor Ceder? Are you learning a lot from him?" She asked the Ability User.

Helena nodded, responding to the brunette Professor's question. "Yes, he's been teaching me about the Regions we've visited so far. The little lessons about the Regions help me better understand how Pokemon develop." She answered her question.

"What are you studying Helena?" Iris asked, sitting at the table adjacent to theirs with Bianca.

"Is what you're studying related to Pokemon? Or is your topic about Pokemon habitats?" Bianca asked the black-haired trainer.

Helena responded to the girls' questions, "I'm studying the forms of Pokemon once had in the past. Ancient Regional forms, like Hisui." The Ability User explains to the new people she met. "The subject has gotten me interested in learning how they were able to get to the Region and why did they go extinct?"

Everyone was intrigued and impressed by Helena's area of study. "Now that's something awesome to study!" Iris exclaims, loving the idea of past Pokemon forms. "You know, I always loved reading about old Pokemon in books, I didn't really delve into it because of my…training." She giggles, scratching her cheek.

"So you're studying a similar topic like Professor Juniper," Hilda looks at Helena, finding the two study the same thing.

Helena looks at the brunette Professor, curious about what she studies. "Professor, if you don't mind, what do you study?" She asked her mentor's Ex-Girlfriend,

Aurea smiles at the young aspiring Researcher, answering her question. "Of course, I don't mind. You see Helena, I study the Origins of Pokemon, where the modern-day Pokemon originated, and more."

Professor Juniper folded her hands together, "That's interesting, Helena. You know, I believe that a few of the Pokemon in Unova." The brunette Professor informed the aspiring Researcher.

"Really? Which ones, Professor?" Helena asked her fellow Researcher.

"I believe Petilili, Liligant, Oshawott, Dewott, Samurott, Rufflet, Braviary, Basculin, and two of the rarest Pokemon, Zorua, and Zoroark," Adam told the list of Pokemon that was once in the Hisui Region that Helena was interested in.

Bianca was surprised at how many Pokemon were once in the Hisui Region. "That's a big list of Pokemon that was in the Hisui Region." She commented on the many Pokemon the blue and blonde-haired Professor listed.

Iris smiles, remembering seeing a few Petililies near Nimbasa City. "If you're looking for those Pokemon that Professor Ceder has mentioned, I saw a group of them near Nimbasa City." The purple-haired girl informed the Ability User.

"Really? I would love to see them when we got the time." Helena commented before hearing her mentor chuckling next to her. "Professor? Did I say something funny?" She asked him.

"No, you didn't. We're going to stop by Nimbasa City before meeting up with my mentor." Adam explains to his Apprentice. "So you can go check out the Petililies on Route Sixteen."

After a while, the group stood in front of the Pokemon Center about to leave for Nimbasa City. "So, you're heading to Nimbasa City then?" Hilda asked both Helena and Adam.

Adam nodded, responding to the dark brunette's question. "Yes, a friend of mine is going through a hard time since his Brother's disappearance. I want to check up on him before heading to meet with my mentor." He explains to the group.

"Well, I'll be heading out now. I got someone to meet in Nacrene City, see you guys around." Iris started heading to Skyarrow Bridge, waving at the group before leaving them.

Professor Juniper cleared her throat, speaking to Adam and Helena. "I need to go to Route Four for my research. I'll meet you in Nimbasa City when I'm finished." She then turns to Bianca, seeing if she wants to accompany her. "Bianca, do you care to join me?"

The blonde trainer was startled by the sudden offer by the Professor of the Region. "Oh, um…sure, Professor Juniper!" Bianca looks at Hilda and Helena, smiling at them. "Thank you again for helping me, Helena, Hilda, and Professor Ceder. Hope to see you in Nimbasa City," She smiles at the group before following Professor Juniper to Route Four.

Helena looks at Hilda once both Bianca and Professor Juniper left. "So, you're heading to Nimbasa City, Hilda?" The Ability User asked her fellow Pokemon trainer.

"Yes, I'm doing the Gym Challenge and Nimbasa City is where the next Gym is," Hilda explains to the young Researcher.

"Do you want to come with us, Hilda? We are heading to the same City anyways." Helena offered,

Hilda shook her head, politely declining the offer. "Nah, I'm heading to Route Four to prepare for the Gym Battle. I heard the Gym Leader uses Electric-type Pokemon, and there's a lot of Rock and Ground-type Pokemon on that Route." The young trainer explains to the two why she isn't coming with them.

Adam nodded, now remembering that the Nimbasa City Gym Leader is powerful in her own rights. "Ah yes, the Nimbasa City Gym Leader. Trust me when I say, she's powerful. Word of advice, try to ground her before doing any Ground-type Moves, Hilda." He advises the young trainer.

Hilda nodded, taking the blue and blonde-haired Professor's words to heart. "Got it, see you around then." She turns around, heading to the exit leading to Route Four.

Helena waves her new friend goodbye before turning to her mentor. "So…how do we get to Nimbasa City if we're not taking Route Four, Professor?" She asked him.

"Easy, the Subway. It's a great coincidence that my friends-er friend runs the Subway system in Unova." Adam said with a worrisome expression when he spoke of his friend.

"Professor, is something the matter?" Helena asked, seeing the change in facial expression.

"My friend is currently going through…tough times. I want to make sure that he's doing okay." The Professor said, starting to head toward the Subway station.

"From what you said, I hope your friend is doing okay," Helena said, feeling sorry for her Mentor and his friend.

Adam chuckles, ruffling Helena's hair. "Thanks, Helena now let's head to the Subway. Our train leaves in fifteen minutes," He smiles at his Apprentice before the two head for the Subway Station.

Once they head down the Subway and bought tickets, Helena noticed a poster posted on the steel pillars. "Battle Subway postponed until further notice. Signed, Subway Boss Emmet." She read the poster.

Helena then looks at the other side, noticing another poster on the pillar. "Have you seen this man? Name: Ingo," She read the other poster,

The poster had the image of a man in his thirties or late twenties. He has light grey hair, and light grey eyes, in a black coat and Conductor's hat. He was in a pose that a Conductor would do when on a train.

Adam steps behind Helena, sighing at the poster posted on the pillar. "Emmet…"

"Is Emmet the friend you were talking about?" Helena asked her Mentor.

"Yeah, Emmet is the younger Twin Brother of Ingo. The man on this poster. " The blue and blonde-haired Professor explains who his friend was. "Both he and Ingo run a Battle Facility known as the Battle Subway and they were called the Subway Bosses. But since Ingo's disappearance a few months back, things went spiraling for Emmet."

Helena nodded, listening to the young Professor on the description of his friends. "I see, I hope Officer Jenny and the Police find him soon." She said, trying to comfort her Mentor.

"I hope so too,"

The Subway train soon arrived behind them and proceeded to enter. Once they got settled in the car the Subway took off to the City of leisure, Nimbasa City.

After a few hours on the Subway, the train reached its destination. A loud ping echoes through Gear Station, indicating the train has stopped. The doors opened, letting all the Passengers out and onto the platform of the Station.

Helena looks around, seeing the lights guiding the People to the upper levels. "So we follow the lights to the actual Station?" She asked Professor Ceder.

"Yes, a friend of mine is waiting for us in the Lobby. She's quite famous other than being the Gym Leader of Nimbasa City." Adam said, walking before Helena. "I think you might like her, Helena."

Helena blinks, following her Mentor through the crowded platform. "If she's friends with you, then she must be nice." The black-haired girl commented.

Upon going up the staircase to Gear Station, they were immediately introduced to the City's glamour. There were colorful lights pointing to advertisements for incoming trainers, images of Pokemon, and Performers promoting the plays they were in.

But the most attractive that people paid attention to was the commercial of a blonde female Model wearing a variety of clothing with a few Electric-type beside him.

The young Researcher looks over to her Mentor, curious who's this friend they're going to meet. "Professor, what does your friend look like? I'm on who am I looking out for." Helena asked the blue and blonde-haired Professor.

"My friend is somewhat well known as I mentioned. For starters, she's blonde and probably wearing something-" Adam paused, seeing the friend he was describing to his Student. "Ah, there she is now." He points to the end of the Lobby.

Helena gaze over where he was pointing and saw a blonde woman around her mid-twenties. She has a slim body and perfect skin, she wore a simple green tight sweater, a white coat, black pants that were really short, boots that reach below her kneecaps, and a pair of earmuffs that has yellow streamers dangling down. "Wait a minute…she looks like-"

Helena looks over to the monitors with the same woman posing on screen. "SHE'S THAT WOMAN IN THOSE ADVERTISEMENTS!" She exclaims that her Mentor knows a Model as a friend.

"I told you that she's somewhat famous here," Adam chuckles at the shocked expression Helena was giving him.

The blonde woman turns her head, seeing the blue and blonde-haired Professor walking from the platforms with his Apprentice. "Adam! It's been so long!" Elesa smiles at her long-time friend.

"It's great to see you, Elesa," Adam greeted the Electric-type Gym Leader, watching her approach them.

Elesa then spots Helena, giving her a warm smile. "Now who's this fair maiden, Adam? Don't tell me she's your Daughter!" She dramatically gasps, looking at the young Researcher.

"Daughter? I'm not his daughter-" Helena paused, seeing the blonde woman winks at her. She could tell that she was joking with them.

Adam sighs, placing his hand on his forehead. "Elesa, I told you this when we were on the Phone." He stated, looking back at the blonde Gym Leader. "This here is my Apprentice, Helena Potter."

"Hello, it's nice to meet you, Elesa. I'm Helena Potter," Helena greeted the Super Model before her.

Elesa giggles, grabbing Helena's hand. "It's lovely to meet you, Helena-you know, I'm going to call you Ellie! You don't mind right?" She asked the young Pokemon Researcher.

Helena shook her head, feeling like it's been a while since someone call her that nickname. She smiles in response to the blonde's question. "No, I don't mind if you call me that name." She smiles.

"Lovely," Elesa said before getting to the serious part of their visit. Her blue eyes look over to Adam, "Adam, Emmet is…ahem, is in denial." The Gym Leader looks over to Helena, not sure if she wants to see their friend in a state.

Adam nodded, being told beforehand that Emmet is not in the best of health. "Helena, why don't you go to Route Sixteen and check out the Petililies? When you're done, you can meet us at the Nimbasa City Gym." He said to her.

Helena nodded, accepting the option from her Mentor. "Okay, um, so where is-"

Elesa smiles, taking out her yellow Rotom Phone and showing her the map of her City. "Route Sixteen is on the right side of the Theater once we leave Gear Station." She points to the large Building at the back of the Subway Station. "And right here near the Farris wheel is the Nimbasa City Gym. That's where you're going to meet us, Ellie."

"Got it," Helena walks towards the exit of the Station, smiling at the two before she leaves. "I'll see you guys later!" She waves at the two adults, heading into the bustling City.

Once Helena exited the doors, she was met with a lively environment. The air was still fresh despite being in the City. She looks around the City, seeing the many attractions and advertisements on every corner she looks,

"So, head to the Theater then make a right?" Helena looks around the street, then she saw the lights flashing behind the Station. She made her way over to the lights behind the Station,

The black-haired trainer arrived at the Theater; she looks up at the monitor promoting a Musical. "Okay, so this is the Theater Elesa told me about…" Helena looks around before spotting a green Exit Tunnel where people were coming in and out of Nimbasa City. "Right, to Route Sixteen."

Helena smiles, walking towards the Gate to Route Sixteen. Once she enters the Exit, she passes through the Tunnel and enters a road with the Lostlorn Forest on both sides. There were no Buildings other than the City behind her and the path led to another exit leading to another City. (End Song)

She looks around, trying to figure out where Iris said she saw the Petililies. "Now, where did Iris say that the Petililies were at?" Helena asked, walking towards the right side of the road.

"Arceus, I should really ask follow-up questions-"

"Well look what we have here," Helena was startled by a sudden voice speaking to her. She turned her head, seeing who was standing behind her. "It's the little Researcher I met in Hoenn," He chuckles,

"Wyscan!? You're in Unova too?" Helena was shocked to see the blonde-haired man here in Unova.

Wyscan chuckles at Helena's expression she just made. "Yep, Unova has a rich History in their culture." The blonde Researcher explains to the black-haired trainer. "Such as the legend of the twin Heroes and the Legendary Dragons of the Region, Reshiram and Zekrom."

Helena nodded, seeing Wyscan was continuing with his Research of the Regions Mythology. "So you're traveling around the World to study the Mythology Wyscan?" She asked, remembering he said something like that back in Hoenn.

"Yes, it's my passion. So, I see you took up Professor Ceder's Apprenticeship." Wyscan nodded, smiling at the young girl. "That's a smart move you made there, Helena and it so happens that your topic is about the Ancient Lands of Hisui. You're very lucky since a majority of the Pokemon that once lived in that Region can be found here, though their Evolution might be different from the books."

"I kinda figured since the book said that they went extinct long ago," Helena commented on what Wyscan said. "Anyways, Professor Ceder said that a group of Petililies are here in Route Sixteen. Since I read that Petililies were abundant in Hisui and Unova is where they were discovered, I want to see them up close and study them." She explains to her fellow Researcher.

Wyscan nodded, placing his hand on his chin, "I see, I see, well I can confirm that they are here." He points to the Lostlorn Forest. "You just need to go deeper into Lostlorn Forest, but do be careful. Lostlorn Forest is famous for trainers getting lost in the brush,"

Helena nodded, thanking Wyscan for his advice. "Thank you, Wyscan. I'll keep that in mind." She turns around, heading into the green forest.

"Hold on, Helena just a word of advice before you leave," Helena turns around, facing the blonde Researcher once more.

"Yes?"

Wyscan smiles at her, "Be sure to stay True to your Ideals, Helena." He said to her, giving him a confused expression.

"Eh?"

The blonde just smiles at her, changing to the subject. "Anyways, good luck finding the Petililies!" He waves at her,

Helena nodded, turning around and heading straight inside the Lostlorn Forest.

"After all…you are going to need them." Wyscan turns around, heading towards Nimbasa City.

Lostlorn Forest

Helena walks through the forest, keeping an eye out for the horde of Petililies

She has encountered some Sewaddles, Swadloons, Trubbishs, Minccinos, Solosises, Liepards, and Gothitas. On occasion, Helena has met a Tranquill or two and an Audino wandering about. But after seeing so many Pokemon, not one Petilili was to be found.

The black-haired girl sighs, hoping to at least find one Petilili wandering on the forest ground. "For a Pokemon that is said to be everywhere in Unova, they are really hard to find." Helena sighs before having an idea in her head.

Helena took out her Pokeball, holding it out to the grass. "Kirlia, come on out!" The Pokeball released her Partner onto the grass,

Kirlia appeared, smiling up at her trainer. "Kirlia! Kirlia?"

"Yes, Professor Ceder is currently with his friend visiting his friend," Helena explains why it was only the two of them in the Forest. "Anyways, I figured that I might need some company while looking for the Petililies. Do you mind, Kirlia?"

"Kirlia!" The Emotion Pokemon cheered, obliging to her Partner's request.

Helena smiles, picking up the Fairy/Psychic-type Pokemon in her arms. "Then let's go find them, ho!" She cheered,

Kirlia held out her hand, copying her Partner. "Kirlia!"

The two continue their way through Lostlorn Forest, still searching for the horde of Petililies. Kirlia was looking around, assisting her trainer by sensing their emotions. "Kirlia…" The Duel-type sighs, unable to find anything.

"Still nothing Kirlia?" Helena looks down at her Partner,

Kirlia shook her head in response to her trainer's question. "Kirlia…"

"I see, maybe we-"

Suddenly Kirlia looks up, sensing a wave of happiness from the direction they were going. She quickly taps on her arm, "Kirlia! Kirlia!" She called out to Helena.

Helena looks down at her Partner, hearing her calling for her attention. "Kirlia? What's wrong, did you sense where Petililies are?" She asked her Partner.

The Emotions Pokemon nodded, pointing to the other side of the trees and bushes. "Kirlia!"

"Over there?" Helena slowly walks over to where her Partner is pointing to.

They arrived at where Kirlia sensed the Petililies, they slowly peeked over the bush and saw small green plant-like Pokemon jumping around in a small meadow, minding their own business.

"(There they are, Petililies, Kirlia.)" Helena smiles, seeing the description from the book was spot on.

"(Kirlia,)" Kirlia nodded, seeing the Grass-type Pokemon were going on with their lives.

Helena pulls back, placing down the Emotion Pokemon on the grass. "Okay, so we found the Petililies and now all we need is to-"

Suddenly a black fur fox-like Pokemon jumped on Helena's head, distracting her from whatever she was doing. "GAH! KIRLIA WHAT'S ON MY HEAD!? I CAN'T TELL WHAT IT IS!" She panicked, trying to get the Pokemon off her head.

"Pet?"

"Pet?"

All of the Petililies looked at where the screaming was coming from. There they saw Helena trying to pry the black Pokemon off her head. "Pet,"

"Pet,"

All of the Bulb Pokemon left the small meadow, leaving the panicking trainer alone to deal with whatever she was dealing with.

"Kirlia! Kirlia!" Kirlia tried to calm her Partner down, however, it was futile. She also tried to use Psychic on the black Pokemon, but it was repelled. "Kirlia…Kirlia?"

Kirlia looks behind Helena, hearing some rustling from the brush behind them. "Zorua, where are you? You should really stop running off like that." A male voice called for his Partner,

The black Pokemon leaps from Helena's head and gently landed on the ground. He giggles as he runs over to the person who was calling for him.

A young man came out of the brush, kneeling down at the Tricky Fox Pokemon running to him. He picks him up gently, "You shouldn't run off like that, Zorua. You had me worried there for a second."

Helena tumbles back, losing her balance from the Dark-type's clinging. "Ah, thank you for…that?" The young Researcher looks up, seeing a familiar face.

The young man looks at Helena and instantly remembers her. "It's you, the girl from Castelia City." He said, "Helena Potter,"

"You're the trainer that helped me, N," Helena spoke the young trainer's name.
