Ch 91 Confrontations
"W-W-Wha…" Maya backed away, holding her red cheeks.
Helena merely smiles, not paying attention to Steven admiring her. "Oops, I'm sorry about that. The hormones got to me; I guess the Baby doesn't like all those slurs you are spewing." She said, lowering her hand.
"H-How-"
"Dare me? How dare you," Helena said, knowing what Maya would say. "How dare you enter my Home and disrupt my Baby Shower. Above all, how dare you come up to Steven and try to seduce him when he made it clear that he has no interest in you." She said, scolding the Sister of her Friend.
The teal-haired trainer looked at Helena and retorted. "That's because he belongs to-"
"He doesn't belong to anyone, Maya. I get you're young and new to love, but that is no way to get yourself a Boyfriend." Helena said, continuing with her scolding. "Both Parties must understand each other not one side."
Steven just watched in awe as Helena scolded Maya. His eyes shifted to Maya who was fuming with embarrassment and anger, something he should not take lightly. 'I better ask Amethio and the others to keep an eye out around the Lab.' He thought before turning his attention back to the conflict before him.
Maya gritted her teeth, turned around, and ran from the Pokemon Lab without saying a thing.
Helena sighs, watching as the teal-haired trainer leaves the premises. "That was mentally exhausting," The black-haired Professor said, looking at her Boyfriend.
"Are you okay, Helena?" Steven asked, seeing this confrontation with Maya was a stressful situation for her and the Baby.
"Yes, just a little….angry and frustrated," Helena answered Steven,
Steven looks at the front yard, seeing Maya has already left the property. He then looked back at Helena, "Let's get yourself inside and lower your stress levels," He said gently to his Girlfriend.
Helena nodded, allowing the Steel-blue haired Champion back inside her Home. Entering her Home's Lobby, the two saw Wallace standing on the stairwell,
Based on his appearance on the stairs, he witnessed and overheard everything. "Wallace, I take it you heard everything just now?" Helena asked the Water-type Gym Leader,
"And saw what happened," Wallace added, walking down the stairs and walking up to the couple. He bowed his head at the two, "I want to apologize to both of you for how my Little Sister was treating you. I heard that Maya was giving you two some grief for quite some time.
"Wallace, you don't need to apologize. It's not your fault," Helena said, seeing this isn't his fault nor his Family.
Steven nodded, agreeing with Helena. "That's right, this isn't your fault. It's Maya's choice to come and cause trouble." The Champion said, not blaming Wallace or the rest of Mitchells Family.
Wallace still has a frown on his face, thinking about what his Little Sister has done while he's away. "Still, it still bothers me that Maya became a bother to you all…" He shook his head, deciding not to ruin today with a grim expression.
"You know what, let's not ruin today. This is a momentous occasion for the both of you." Wallace said, smiling at the two. "Now, come! Everyone is probably looking for you upstairs."
Both Helena and Steven could tell how troubled Wallace was with the Maya situation. They both silently agreed that this matter could be handled at any time. "Alright, let's head back you two. We still have hours left before the end of the Day." Helena smiles as the three of them return to the Second Floor where they continue to celebrate.
Running away from the Potter Pokemon Lab, Maya stopped right near Route One Fifteen. "That damn Bitch, how dare she contradict me!" The teal-haired trainer gritted her teeth in anger. "I don't get what Steven sees in that Nobody from the Outskirts."
"I take it you failed in your mission?" Maya froze, hearing a robotic emotionless voice coming from the brush.
Coming from the bushes was a violet-haired and-eyed Woman around twenty with a pale complexion. She wore a red sweater that turned into a small skirt that's above with a red hood with two yellow horns on both sides. She wore red boots with red socks that reached up to below her knees.
"C-Courtney, w-what are you doing here? I-I thought I was going to handle this mission." Maya said, looking at the Admin of Team Magma.
Courtney approaches the teal-haired Grunt, giving her the same emotionless tone. "I foresaw that you have derailed from you're original purpose, Maya." The Admin spoke, looking at the newest Member of Team Magma.
Maya was fully aware that Courtney was an Ability User, a form of Future Sight, unlike the Move Future Sight. Courtney's Ability allows her to see glimpses of what is to come in the Present. "I-I told Leader Maxie that I could handle this mission." She defended herself, "I'll do-"
"It doesn't matter if you correct your mistake, the fact still remains your cover was blown." The violet-haired Woman stated, staring at Maya with cold eyes. "As of right now, a few of Team Magma's Elites and I shall take over the Mission."
The teal-haired trainer's eyes widen, "B-But what about-"
"Our Spy has not blown his cover, but due to your connections; we shall allow you to work on this Mission as a support," Courtney explains what their Leader has decided going forward. "The Mission starting now will be taking another approach to get the information. Is that a problem?" She asked Maya.
Maya shook her head, seeing nothing she could do now with an Admin taking over. "N-No Courtney…" She responded, looking down from her Higher-up.
A Month after the Baby Shower, things returned to the same schedule as usual. Helena and N worked at the Trainer School, as usual, Helena assisted Professor Ceder with his Class and N worked and taught the younger trainers how to properly care for Pokemon.
As for Anthea and Concordia, they care for the Wild Pokemon at the Potter Lab. They told Helena that they were curious about how life in Hoenn differs; however, they were there preparing for the time of the Baby's arrival.
Helena was teaching the Class while Adam stepped to the side, giving Helena the chance to teach the Class.
Adam smiles, seeing Helena pointing and explaining clearly about the topic. He watches his former Pupil taking the lead in the Class, something he knew she could do well.
Her way of speaking and teaching manages to captivate every Student. The Lesson was about Pokemon Evolution, mainly Slowpoke Line. Adam believes that with further Classes on this, Helena could take over the Class.
After a few more minutes, the Bell rang prompting Helena to wrap things up. "Alright everyone, that's all for today, I'll see you next Class." Helena bids her Students farewell before being approached by her Mentor.
"Well, Professor Potter; I do believe you just handled that Class very well like the prior ones," Adam smiles at his Assistant.
"Professor, you've been handing the lecture sections of the Class over to me lately," Helena said, looking at the blue and blonde-haired Professor before her. "Is there any reason why you're doing this?" She asked.
Adam smiles, answering the young Professor. "Well, I want to test you if you're ready to lead the Class when the time comes for me to head to the next step." He explains to his former Student.
"Next step? What do you mean, Professor?" Helena asked, wondering what Adam meant by that.
The Professor looks at Helena before looking to the side. "You might not heard because the Headmaster wants to keep it a secret when the time is right. But I'll let you into what he wants to keep from everyone." Adam said to Helena.
Helena nodded, listening to what Adam wanted to tell her. "Headmaster Kieth might be retiring in the following Months and he has offered me the position of Headmaster of the School," Adam informed his former Student.
"Really?" Helena blinks, surprised to hear that the Headmaster is going to retire soon. Considering Headmaster Keith's Age, it's understandable that he wants to retire. "I understand why he's deciding it now,"
Adam nodded, turning around in a less caring manner. "The Headmaster has done so much for the School, I hope I can live up to the name he has left." The blue and blonde-haired said, feeling the pressure of the Position.
Helena could tell her Mentor was feeling the pressure of the thought of being the next Headmaster. She smiles, knowing that Professor Ceder would make a perfect Headmaster from her experience with him. "I'm sure you would make a good Headmaster, Professor."
"I appreciate it, Helena," Adam said before hearing Helena's Rotom Phone ring. "Isn't that your Rotom Phone ringing?" He asked his former Student,
The young Ability User flinched, grabbing her Pink Rotom Phone. "Oh, it's Steven. We have an appointment with the Doctor for the first Ultrasound." Helena explains, sending a quick text to Steven saying she'll be right out.
Adam knew that Helena was going into the Fourth Month of her pregnancy. He could tell that Helena was bigger, a bit bigger than regular pregnant Women. "Well, I better get going. Steven is waiting for me outside,"
"Right," Adam nodded, watching as his former Student left the Classroom. "Looking forward to the news after your Appointment." The Professor wishes Helena luck for any good news regarding her Baby.
Helena smiles, nodding to her Mentor keeping that promise. "I will, Professor." She said before leaving the Classroom to meet with her Boyfriend.
Once Steven picked Helena up from the Trainer School; the two went to the Doctor's Office for their first Ultrasound and what their Baby might look like.
Inside the Doctor's Office, the Couple was sitting in the waiting room. Steven was shaking his leg while waiting for their name to be called by the Nurse.
Unbeknownst to him, the other Patients were looking at the two waiting amongst with them.
"(Wait, isn't that Steven Stone?)" One Person whispers, asking his Friend,
"(It is him! The Hoenn Champion, what is he doing here?)" Another confirms what her Friend asked,
"(He must be here for something important,)" Another whispers to another.
One took notice of Helena, sitting next to Steven. "(Who's that Girl with the Champion?)" One more asked,
"(She must be Mr. Stone's Girlfriend, why else she look so calm when sitting next to him.)" Another commented, looking at the black-haired Professor.
"(I think that's Professor Potter, the one who rebuilt the old Daycare into a Pokemon Lab down on Route One Thirteen.)" One recognizes Helena as the Professor who built the Lab at the School.
"(So lucky, she is dating the most Eligible Bachelor in Hoenn. I guess Steven Stone must really like her,)" One female who admires Steven sighs, seeing her defeat.
Helena took notice of the many whispers around them all about them. Understandable considering that they haven't publicly announced they were a thing, only around certain places in Rustboro City.
Now that she thought of it, they have been to public places. However, Steven was wearing sunglasses and a mask most of the time when he was off from his Champion.
Helena looks over to her Boyfriend, seeing his leg shaking. "Steven," She gently placed her hand on his leg. "You're shaking your leg," She told the Hoenn Champion.
Steven stops shaking his leg, looking at Helena once he notices her hand on his leg. "Sorry, I'm just nervous and excited." He answered his Girlfriend.
"I know me too. But relax, it's not like I'm giving Birth today." Helena smiles, explaining to Steven. "We're just here for the Ultrasound."
The Steel-blue haired Champion nodded, "Right, right," He said, knowing that Helena was right. "You're always right, Ellie," Steven said before hearing the door to the examination rooms opened.
A Nurse came out with a Tablet in her hands, she looked around as she called the next Patient. "Potter/Stone?" She announced,
The two turn to the door, hearing their Last Name being called. "Here," the two stood up from their chairs, responding to the Nurse's call.
The Nurse saw the two, smiling at them before leading them to their respective room. "Follow me please," She said,
Helena sat on the examination table while Steven sat next to her. Soon the door opened to their Doctor with a smile, "Hello there, Mr. Stone and Mrs. Potter; I'm Dr. Goodwin and I'll be your Doctor for the duration of your pregnancy." She introduced herself to the Couple. "Based on your charts, you're here for your First Ultrasound am I right?"
"That's right, we're here for the Ultrasound. We like to know the condition of our Baby." Steven said, answering for the two of them.
Dr. Goodwin nodded, having gone through this many times. "Great, just let me do some tests before we check on your Baby." She looks at Helena, checking things with her. "Does that sound good to you?"
"Of course, I'm okay with anything for mine and Baby's health," Helena said, accepting the tests.
After a few more tests, an Ultrasound Technician and a Blissey as an Assistant to the Doctor.
The Doctors made some preparations for the use of Ultrasound. "Blissey," Helena looks at Blissey, rubbing some cold gel on her stomach causing her to shiver.
"Are you okay, Ellie?" Steven asked, seeing the sudden movement Helena made.
"Yeah, I just didn't expect the gel to be cold." The young Professor said,
"Bissey, Blissey." The Normal-type Pokemon smiles, seeing the same reaction as every pregnant Women who came for an Ultrasound.
Dr. Goodwin smiles, hearing her Pokemon Assistant speak. "Every first-time Mothers didn't expect the gel to be cold." The Doctor said, smiling as she proceeded with the Ultrasound. "Alright, we're all set,"
The Steel-blue haired Champion sat up, feeling excited that he was about to see their Baby.
The Doctor placed the probe on Helena's stomach, after probing around, Dr. Goodwin smiled. "Here we are, I can see the legs…the arms…the-hold on," She adjusted some things on the Ultrasound, checking some things in Helena's abdomen.
Steven looks at their Doctor, hearing what she said. "Is there something wrong with the Baby, Dr. Goodwin?" He asked, getting worried if there was something wrong with their Child.
Helena turns to the monitor, fearing for the worse for the Baby. "Doctor, what is it?" She asked their Doctor, wanting to know what was going on.
"Blissey, Anna, would you come here and check the monitor?" Dr. Goodwin asked her Assistants as they checked the monitor to confirm what she was seeing.
Helena looked at Steven who quickly went beside her and took her hands. They remained silent before their Doctor smiled, and faced them with some good news. "Is it good news?" She asked her.
Dr. Goodwin smiles, "Congratulations you two," She addresses the Couple of what she saw on the monitor. "You two are going to have twin Baby Boys."
"T-T-Twins Boys!?" Both Helena and Steven exclaim, never expecting to be having Twins. Both of their Families doesn't have any History of having Twins,
Dr. Goodwin looks at the Couple, seeing the same reaction when young Parents are going to expect Twins. She knew there was only one thing she could do to relieve them from their shock. "Do you want to see your Sons?" She asked them.
Helena looks at Steven, smiling at him. "Yes, we would love to." The black-haired Woman said, accepting the offer their Doctor gave them.
Dr. Goodwin nodded, prompting her to move the Ultrasound monitor to face both Helena and Steven. The screen was black with a few movements in the abdomen, "Alright, here we are…" She moves the probe to one side of the abdomen.
"Here's Baby Boy number one." Dr. Goodwin smiles, showing the first infant to the Couple. "You can see his toes and now the head,"
Steven smiles, holding his Girlfriend with excitement. "Ellie, there he is…our Son." The Hoenn Champion said, pointing to the monitor.
Helena nodded in response, "I know, " She said, crying tears of joy. She sniffs as Steven wipes away her tears, "Can we see the second one, please?" She asked their Doctor.
"Of course, give me a moment, Ms. Potter." Dr. Goodwin said, moving the probe to the other side of her abdomen. Soon enough, the Doctor has found where the Second infant was. "There he is, Baby Boy number two."
Helena smiles with joy, turning to Steven who shares the same reaction. "It seems we have to discuss what our Sons' names would be, Steven." She jokes, knowing there were many Boy names they came up with during the past Months.
"Yeah, at first picking just one was difficult enough. Now we have two to choose from the list." Steven gave a slight chuckle, kissing Helena on the forehead. "Either way, I can't wait until our Sons to be with us,"
"Me too, Steven," Helena said, looking at her Sons in her stomach.
Sinnoh Region, Snowpoint City
"Glace! Glace!" Glaceon turns around on a snowy field, calling out to her trainer.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, Glaceon," Irina answers Glaceon's cries, coming up to the Ice-type on the snowy field. The dirty blonde Researcher looks down at her Partner, curious as to why she ran off from their Lab. "Glaceon, whatever made you want to run off like that? You know very well you might accidentally head straight for ongoing traffic." She said, showing concern for her Partner.
Glaceon nodded before looking further into the snowy fields. "Glace, Glace!" The Ice-type quickly ran across the snow, heading to the nearby forest like she was looking for something.
Irina sighed, following the Fresh Snow Pokemon to wherever she was heading. "Glaceon, wait up." She called out one last time, reaching to see a lump in the snow.
Glaceon dug up the snow covering whatever it was making the lump. Soon enough, a body was revealed under all that snow. "Oh my Arceus, hold on Glaceon. I'll help." Irina came next to her Partner, dusting away the snow from the Person.
The young Professor got a good look at who this Person was. She was a young Girl around Fifteen with pale skin, and bushy brown hair, and her outfit was something from a Boarding School.
She wore a dark grey sweater and a grey long skirt. Under her sweater was a white shirt and a red and yellow striped tie, something that wasn't suited for the cold climate of Sinnoh.
The Girl opens her eyes, meeting with Irina's. "Are you okay, Miss? You were lying down in the snow unconscious. If my Partner here didn't find you, then you might die from Hypothermia." Irina explains to the young Girl, "Can you tell me you're name?"
"H-Hermione…G-Granger…." Hermione fell unconscious, able to say her name to the stranger before her,
Irina looks at Glaceon with a serious expression. "Let's get her to the Hospital, Glaceon."
"Glace." Glaceon agreed, following her trainer back to Snowpoint City where she would be checked out by the Doctors.
