Ch 92 Omega/Ruby

Sinnoh, Snowpoint City Hospital

After finding Hermione in the cold snowy fields, Irina and Glaceon take her to the Snowpoint City's Hospital. The Doctors were working on the strange Girl who appeared on Route Two Sixteen,

Irina crossed her arms, watching the Doctors do their best to warm the Bushy-haired Girl. "Glace…" The dirty blonde-haired Professor looks down at her Partner.

"I know, I'm worried for her too," Irina said to Glaceon, turning back to Hermione who was still unconscious.

Soon enough, the doors opened to reveal a young Woman around her mid-twenties walking into the Emergency Room. "Irina, what happened? I got your Phone call that you found a young Girl right outside of Route Two Sixteen."

Irina turns to the young Woman now entering the Emergency Room. She was wearing a white buttoned-down shirt, a tan short skirt, blue and white striped knee-high socks, brown loafers, and a light blue sweater wrapped around her waist.

"Candice," Irina smiles at her Friend from their time in Trainer School, "Thank you for coming." She greeted her before turning her attention back to Hermione.

"Glace," Glaceon looks at Candice, the Ice-type Gym Leader of Snowpoint City and the Teacher in the Snowpoint City Pokemon Trainer School.

Candice walks forward, looking at the Girl Irina has brought into the Hospital. She saw the Doctors were working on her before hearing the dirty blonde Professor ask her something.

"Candice, do you happen to know who this Girl is?" Irina asked the Gym Leader, thinking that Hermione was a Student at the Trainer School. "Is she one of the Students at the Trainer School? If she is, then we can get some background information about her." She asked,

The dark-haired Gym Leader looked at Hermione, instantly answering Irina. "No, she's not a Student registered in the Trainer School's registry." Candice placed her hand on her side, turning to her Friend. "I've been in the halls of the School many times and know every Student there." She said,

"I think you just found someone who was lost while on her way to the City," Candice said, assuming that was Irina found.

Irina could only assume that was the case if Candice didn't recognize her. "You may be right, Candice." She commented,

Glaceon lowered her head before looking at the Doctor who attended to the bushy-haired Girl leaving to room to speak with them. "Glace, Glace," The Ice-type Pokemon called out to the two Women.

Both Irina and Candice look at Glaceon before hearing the Doctor's voice speak. "Professor Ceder, both you and your Glaceon were lucky to find her in this state." He said, complimenting how they were able to find Hermione just in the nick of time.

"Any longer then she'll die from freezing over. Consider this as luck from Arceus that you found her in time." The Doctor said before he asked a few questions for the two.

"Doctor, what will happen to her?" Irina asked the Doctor, curious about what will happen to Hermione.

The Doctor sighed, delivering some information that they might not like. "Unfortunately, the Girl was in the cold for far too long. Currently, she's in a coma, we're warming her up but considering how long she was, it'll take a while." He explained to the two.

Candice looks at the Doctor, having a question of her own. "How long are we talking here?" The Ice-type Gym Leader asked, curious how long until the strange Girl would wake up.

"I'd say a few Months, but it's hard to say." The Doctor explains his prognosis on Hermione Granger's recovery to the two, "Her recovery is all dependent on whether or not Ms. Granger would want to wake up." He said, looking at the young Girl sleeping on the Hospital bed.

"Then we have to keep an eye on our unconscious Friend until she wakes up," Irina said as both Candice and the Doctor agreed with what the Researcher said. All eyes are on Hermione, hoping that she'll come through in the end.

Hoenn Region, Rustboro City

Helena was at Steven's Apartment; both she and Steven were preparing for the arrival of their Sons. Steven has four bedrooms in his Home, they were making one of the bedrooms into a Nursery for the Twins.

Steven cleared everything inside the room before which was just a few. Thanks to the Baby Shower, they've got the essentials for the Twin's arrival.

Well, minus a second crib and a bit more toys for the Second Baby but that is something they would do for later.

Steven sat on the floor in a simple green t-shirt and jeans, trying to figure out how to build the crib. "So…connect bars C and B with bolts D and E by using wrench F…!" He paused, looking closely at the directions to check if he missed something, "Which is not provided with the set…damnit," He groans, dropping the pieces and direction on the carpeted floor.

Kirlia looks at Steven, feeling his frustration. "Kirlia?" She asked,

"Is something the matter Steven?" Helena wore a simple light blue shirt and skirt reaching up to her knees, folding the many Baby clothing that was gifted to them. She looks at

"It's this crib! I don't get why they pack the pieces without providing any of the needed tools!" Steven exclaims, expressing his frustrations with their Children's crib. "I bet the second one we got will have the same problem as this one." He grumbles,

Helena giggles along with Kirlia at Steven's frustration over the Baby cribs. "Should we call someone to help us?" She asked her Boyfriend,

Steven looks at Helena, hearing her suggesting having someone help build the crib. "No! I'm going to do this, Ellie!" He said, taking the directions and looking for a loophole. "What kind of Father am I if I don't at least try to contribute to our Sons' living arrangements." He said, determined to figure out how to put the pieces of the crib.

"Steven, the Babies don't care if you can't piece together a crib." Helena smiles at her Boyfriend, standing up and placing the clothes in the drawers. She approaches Steven, kneeling to kiss his head, "Listen, I gotta go soon, my Lunch Break is almost over,"

"I understand, have fun with your Class, Ellie," Steven said, turning back to the pieces of the first crib. "I'll be here trying to figure out how to put this crib together…"

Helena smiles, motioning for her Partner to follow her. "You know there's the idea I just gave if you're still stuck." She said, reminding him what she just said a few minutes ago.

Kirlia nodded, standing next to Helena's legs.

"Nope! I'm going to figure this out, even if it keeps me up all night!" Steven said, still determined to build the cribs.

The young Professor sighs, "Oh, and don't forget; your Father wanted you to-"

"I know, check Granite Cave of the Mural we found a while back," Steven said, hearing what Helena said before she walked out of the Nursery they just made, but rather happy.

Steven shifts his eyes to his Girlfriend leaving the Nursery. He got up and quickly walked over to the next room, making sure his feet didn't step on the pieces of the crib.

Once inside the next room, he pulled out his drawer and took out a small box within. Steven opened the box, revealing a ring inside. "Just need the right time to ask her." He smiles, thinking how he's going to propose.

After leaving Steven's Apartment, Helena and Kirlia made their way back to the Trainer School. "Good afternoon, Professor," A local Rustboro Citizen greeted Helena with her Pokemon.

"Afternoon," Helena greeted back to the Man before continuing their way to the School.

"Hello, Professor, I hope you're doing alright." Another Person greeted Helena and Kirlia, like before Helena greeted her like the other Person.

Everyone in Rustboro City knows about Helena Potter, being the Head Researcher in the new Lab near the School, and her relationship with the Hoenn Champion. However, her research on Pokemon Evolution and their Original forms gained her reionization from the Scientific Community.

Helena continued her way to the School until she noticed someone looking a bit lost. "Kirlia, do you think that Boy over there looks lost to you?" She asked her Partner,

"Kirlia?" The Psychic/Fairy-type looks over to where Helena is looking. Right at the end of the street, there was a tan Boy around Eleven wearing a red-orange short-sleeved shirt with dark grey shorts and a pair of white and green running shoes.

Covering his brown hair with a white beanie. The Pokemon trainer looks around, almost like he is looking for a specific place.

"He looks lost," Helena said, "We should try and help him." The young Ability User walks over to the lost trainer with Kirlia, seeing if they can help him.

"You look a bit lost; can we be of assistance?" Helena asked the new Pokemon trainer before them.

"That would be great, I'm not used to the Big City yet. The only places I've been to are Petalburg City where my Dad works and Littleroot Town." The young Pokemon trainer admits, taking up on Helena's offer. "Rustboro City is big compared to those places,"

Helena smiles, knowing what the young trainer means. "Oh I know, now where are you heading?" She asked him, practically knowing Rustboro like the back of her hand.

The Pokemon trainer showed a map on his Orange Rotom Phone to Helena with the directions to where he was heading. "I'm looking for the Rustboro Gym, I want to challenge the Gym Leader, Roxanne." The trainer said.

"I kinda had a feeling that was the case if you were heading to the Rustboro Gym," Helena said, carrying Kirlia in her hands and walking before the trainer. "I so happen to work in the Pokemon Trainer School where the Rustboro Gym is as a Pokemon Professor, researching the Ancient forms of Pokemon." The black-haired Professor explains to him. "My name is Professor Helena Potter, and this is my Partner, Kirlia."

"Kirlia," Kirlia greeted the young trainer next to them.

"Really?" The trainer said before thanking Helena for her assistance. "That's cool. Also thank you for guiding me, oh, my name's Brendan Smith. My Father is the new Petalburg Gym Leader at the Petalburg Gym, Professor." He introduced himself to Helena.

"You're Norman Smith's Son? I didn't know he has a Family, but he does have that Father vibe about him." Helena said, only meeting Norman once when she was walking to Littleroot Town to meet with Professor Birch.

They aren't acquainted as much, but they do greet each other whenever they meet.

Brendan chuckles, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah…Dad wanted me to finish my Schooling back in the Johto Region before coming to Hoenn. It was just a few days ago that I got my first Starter from Professor Birch." He explained to Helena as they walked to the Trainer School together.

Helena smiles, already knowing the Professor was responsible for giving first-time trainers their Pokemon. "I'm curious, what Starter Pokemon did Owen give you, Brendan?" The young Professor asked,

The brown-haired trainer smiles, taking out his Pokeball. "I'll show you," Brendan tosses up his Pokeball, releasing the Pokemon that was inside.

The light disburses, revealing a little green Gecko-like Pokemon. "Treecko, Tree!" The Grass-type Pokemon fell from the sky, landing in Brendan's arms.

"Hey there, Treecko. Nothing like a bit of fresh air before a big Battle, right?" Brendan smiles, asking his Partner,

"Treecko, Tree!" The Wood Gecko Pokemon responded to his new trainer's words.

Brendan then looks at Helena, introducing his Friend to her. "Professor Potter, this is Treecko. He's the Pokemon I choose to be my lifetime Partner." The brown-haired trainer introduced his Partner.

Treecko looks at both Helena and Kirlia, waving his paws at them. "Treecko!" He happily said,

"Nice to meet you, Treecko," Helena said before noticing they were just meters from the Trainer School. "Ah, we're almost there, soon enough you'll be able to Battle Roxanne." She informed the young trainer.

The brown-haired Pokemon trainer smiles, getting excited for the upcoming Gym Battle. "I can't wait," Brendan said, following the Professor to the School.

Soon enough the two and their Pokemon arrived at the front of the Trainer School. Helena looks at Brendan, welcoming him to the Pokemon School. "Welcome to the Pokemon Trainer School, Brendan." Helena welcomed the trainer to the School.

Brendan looked up at the Trainer School, the Building was like any other School he'd seen. "Wow, it's like the School I went to in Olivine City." The young trainer said. His eyes shift to the Building next to the Trainer School he was looking for. "That Building over there with the rocks."

"Hmm? Oh, that's the Rustboro Gym." Helena informed Brendan and his Treecko where the Building they were looking for was.

"That's the Gym?" Brendan asked, taking a good look at the rock-themed Pokemon Gym. "Now that I see the Gym, I the Pokemon Type is clear as Day, right Treecko?" He lifted his arm, allowing the Wood Gecko Pokemon to sit on it,

The Grass-type Pokemon nodded, also seeing what his Partner saw. "Treecko, Tree."

Kirlia looks up at her Partner, patting her arm. "Kirlia, Kirlia," The Emotion Pokemon looks at Helena, smiling at her.

Brendan looks at Kirlia, hearing her speak, having a feeling it's something about his upcoming Gym Battle. "What did Kirlia just say?" The brown-haired trainer asked,

The young Professor gave a small laugh, looking at Brendan, and informed him what her Partner just said. "Kirlia was just saying that Roxanne's Partner is very strong, despite being the first Gym starting Pokemon trainers would challenge," Helena explains,

Brendan smirks, showing his confidence to both the Professor and the Fairy/Psychic-type Pokemon. "Believe it or not, Dad has taught me all I need to know about Pokemon Battles. Plus I've been training Treecko and my other Pokemon for Hoenn's Gym Challenge." He stated,

"Treecko, Tree…Treecko?" Treecko looks over at the Gym's entrance, seeing a long line of trainers from every corner of the Region.

"Woah," Helena paused, seeing the long line. Something she only saw during Bond Week they have in School. "I've never seen a long gathering of Pokemon trainers before. I'm sure this week isn't Bond Week, it won't happen until three more weeks." She commented, confused with the situation.

"Kirlia, Kirlia." Kirlia nodded, seeing it was the first time she saw a long line of trainers.

Brendan's brow lowered, seeing the line reaches at the end of the street, almost reaching the entrance of Route One Fourteen. "You don't think this is the line for the Rustboro Gym, do you, Professor Potter?" He asked,

"Unfortunately it is," The two trainers turn around, seeing Headmaster Keith walking up to them.

Helena greeted the Headmaster respectfully, along with Kirlia before speaking of what was happening. "Headmaster Kieth, this line is really the line for Battling Roxy for the Stone Badge?" She asked, quite shocked at how many trainers were there.

The old Headmaster of the Trainer School nodded, "I'm afraid so, Helena my dear. Our dear Ms. Scholar has been very busy since the Gym Challenge went underway a few weeks back." Keith explains, feeling bad for his Successor. "Considering that this Gym is known for its easiness and assisting Trainers in being introduced to the Gym Challenge, I'm afraid that new challengers will have to move on and come back next time."

Headmaster Kieth shifts his eyes to Brendan and his Partner, Treecko. "I'm sorry, Mr. Smith. Even though your Father, Norman has put a good word for you, I can't squeeze you in Roxanne's Challengers List." He apologizes on behalf of the Rustboro Gym and as its former Gym Leader.

The brown-haired Boy shook his head, understanding perfectly well that it was a busy first few weeks. "No, I get it. The Petalburg City's Gym where Dad works is busy too." Brendan said, feeling a bit disappointed, however, he saw it as a perfect opportunity. "Hey, since the Rustboro Gym is packed, can I see what the Trainer School is like?" He asked, looking at the School Building.

"Of course, a young mind such as yourself is welcomed to the Trainer School." The Headmaster gave his permission to Brendan to check around inside the School. He turns to Helena, seeing she is already acquainted with Brendan. "Professor Potter, since you already know Brendan here, do you mind showing him around the School?" Keith asked the young Ability User.

Helena didn't need time to respond, she agreed to the request made by the Headmaster, "Of course Headmaster," She turned to the brown-haired trainer, showing him the entrance of the School. "This way to the entrance, Brendan."

Brendan smiles, looking at the Headmaster, appreciating him and allowing him to look around the School. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity to look inside the Trainer School, Headmaster." He respectfully said.

The Headmaster nodded, watching as the Ability User guided Brendan into the School.

Entering the Trainer School, Helena gave a tour of the entire Building. First was the Main Entrance where she showed some Artwork that Students did with their Pokemon Partners.

Next were the many Classrooms, where the Teachers of the School teach the Students, then the Battlefields where they do simulated Pokemon Battles, the Cafeteria, the Lab where she teaches with Professor Ceder and the Dormitories where far from Home Students stay and rest.

Eventually, Helena and Kirlia led Brendan and his Partner to the Daycare, where luck would have it, N was there giving lessons to the younger Students.

"Now, this room is the Pokemon Daycare," Helena walks over to the door, painted with little clouds and a smiling Sun.

"Kirlia," Kirlia smiles, tapping on the doorway,

"Cute, I like the little drawings on the door," Brendan commented, watching the Professor open the door. Upon opening the door, he saw a young green-haired Man holding a rare Pokemon in his hands while showing a Litleo to the Children.

N smiles, gently petting the Normal/Fire-type Pokemon's fur. "Remember carefully, Students. When grooming your Partner, make sure you ask before you do it." The former King explains, "Once you got their permission, you can groom them. But keep in mind that they prefer to show you where they want to be groomed." He explains to the Children.

"Hai!" The Students replied with a smile, interacting with their Pokemon, and began talking with them.

N noticed his Sister with another Student, assuming to be a new addition to the School. He looks down at the Litleo, "Thank you for assisting me with the demonstration, Litleo."

The Duel-type nodded, leaping off from the trainer's lap and rejoining his Friends outside.

N made his way to Helena and Brendan, "Hello, Helena. Am I to assume that this trainer here is a new Student here in the School?" He asked his Little Sister.

"Not entirely, N," Helena explains, turning to Brendan. "Brendan, this is my Brother, N. He's in charge of the Daycare Center here in the School. He teaches proper care to trainers of their Pokemon."

"He and our two Sisters live in the Lab that's just a few feet away from here." Helena introduced the Challenger to her Brother. "N, this is Brendan Smith, he's the Petalburg City's Gym Leader's Son." The Professor introduced N to Brendan.

Brendan smiles, approaching the green-haired trainer. "Hi there, Mr. Potter. I didn't know that Professor Potter's Family is here working for the School." He said,

"Well, Helena built a Home here in Hoenn. Both my Sisters and I are grateful for that." N said, taking a closer look at Brendan. He notes he has a travel backpack and a Starter Pokemon on him. "Based on Treecko and the many voices at the Gym lately, you're another Challenger for Roxanne, right?"

The brown-haired trainer nodded, confirming with what the former King of Team Plasma assumed. "That's right, I was hoping to earn my First Gym Badge here, but you can see…"

N chuckles, understanding the young trainer's plight. "Well, I think it's a good thing that today's packed. Many of the Challengers at the Gym now are Students." The green-haired trainer explains, "They usually go first since their Living Quarters are here in the School."

"I know, I saw the Dormitories," Brendan stated before saying the good part. "But at least I can get to explore the Trainer School," He looks at the Pokemon gathered in the Daycare, seeing many of them are rare to Hoenn.

"You got so many Pokemon here that is not native to Hoenn. It's hard to believe that they are here." Brendan commented, seeing a Litleo, a Meowstic, a Mankey, and a whole lot.

Helena smiles, "That's not all of them, these Pokemon belong to the Daycare here in the School. Back in my Lab, there's a bunch more that isn't native to Hoenn." She stated, informing the Starting trainer.

N crossed his arms, "Why don't you go there to our Home? Helena has been late in her work on her findings about Pokemon Environmental Evolution Research." The Ability User said, "It might interest you."

"Really? Can I?" Brendan asked, seeing the two nod.

"Why not, it's a good learning experience for you," Helena said, showing Brendan the way to her Home/Lab.

AN: I planned to diverge from the original plot of Omega Ruby. Instead of Brendan Battling Roxanne, Helena will for the chance of winning the Stone Badge. Anyways, please leave a comment or review.
