Ch 98 A Part of the Family
It's been a few Days since Helena stayed in the Stone Mansion. Helena has been acquainted with the Staff, the Kitchen Chefs, the Gardeners, the Pokemon, the Maids, Diana her Assigned Maid, and the Security Guards.
Helena also got to know both Lydia and Joseph on a personal level. To the point that they can talk casually, Lydia and Joseph tell her the many things she's yet to discover about Steven.
Joseph has told her that Steven used to be a Wild Child, often sneaking away from the Mansion and heading to Rustboro City to explore. Or the fact that he used to want to be a Pop Idol like Lydia during her Coordinator Days, however when he went on Stage he instantly froze in fear. Joseph had to come up and bring him back down like he was a statue.
Helena finds that funny, considering that Steven doesn't seem to be the one to get stage fright. For the longest time she had known her Boyfriend, he was confident and outgoing; the only explanation is that he had Metagross with him since he was a Beldum.
Speaking about Lydia, she's been teaching her how to Steven's favorite food among other things. Such as some Lullabies that she sang for Steven and gave her Baby tips.
Steven decided to stay at his Parents' Home, wanting to be with Helena during this time. He goes in and out, assisting with the Investigation. He comes back on time, spending time with her,
It's been relatively peaceful for the time being, so Lydia has invited Helena to spend some time with her.
Helena followed her Maid, leading her to the Garden Patio. "Seems like we're going to have another pleasant Day, right Diana?" The black-haired Professor asked her Maid.
"Of course, Professor. The Weather this week is nice, a perfect climate for eating out," Diana said, sharing a bit about her with her Charge.
The black-haired Professor looks at her Personal Maid, hearing something about her. "Do you like going out, Diana?" Helena asked the brunette,
Diana nodded, answering the young Professor. "Yes, my Husband, my Child, and I spend our time outside, Professor." The brunette said, smiling at her. "Sunlight is good for young Children." She shared a bit of Parenting advice with the new Mother.
Helena smiles, taking Daina's advice to heart. "I see, thank you for the advice, Diana. I'll keep that in mind." The young Professor said, appreciating her sharing what she does with her Child.
"Any time, Professor," Diana responded as the two arrived at the Patio.
Sitting on the Patio, Lydia had her Household Maids set up some Afternoon Desserts and Tea for today. Under her hand was a Jewelry Box, containing something important inside.
"Lydia," The white-haired Woman perk up, turning to the side. She smiles at her Future Daughter-in-law coming over to the Patio.
Lydia stood up, welcoming Helena to the Gardens. "Helena, I'm glad you were able to meet with me today." She greeted the black-haired Professor, motioning for her to take a seat opposite of her.
"I should be thanking you for inviting me, Lydia," Helena said, sitting down on the chair at the same time as her. "I've been staying at your Home for a few Days now, and felt like I've been imposing on you and Joseph."
"Nonsense, you aren't imposing on anybody here, Helena dear," Lydia said, sitting back down in her seat. "In fact, you have been delightful around the Mansion," She said, hearing many positive comments from the Staff.
Helena blushed a bit, not really thinking she did anything to receive this much praise. "I don't think I did anything that could achieve this much praise." The black-haired Professor said,
Lydia chuckles, liking the humble personality Helena has. "Oh you did, Helena. Everyone is talking about how respectful and considerate you were." She said, smiling at the young Professor. "In any case, that's not why I called you here to meet with me."
"Hmm? What is it, Lydia?" Helena asked, being offered the Pastries before her.
As Diana took some Pastries off the plates and put some on Helena's, Lydia spoke about the reason why she called Helena here today. "The reason why I called you here in the Gardens, Helena is that I wanted to give you something of mine." She said, pulling over the box she had with her. "It's a Family Heirloom that's passed down through the Women of the Lund Family." She explains.
Helena paused, looking at her Future Mother-in-Law at what she said. Placing her fork down, responding to the sudden offer. "L-Lydia, you shouldn't be giving something this important to me. It should be given to your-"
"Helena, my young Brother Rodrick doesn't have any Daughters of his own nor do I. Besides this was given to me by my Mother a long time ago when I was about to marry Joseph." The white-haired Woman explains to Helena.
Lydia looks at Helena with a warm expression. "Since you're going to be a part of the Family, it's only right to gift you something as a welcome to the Family Present." She opens the box, revealing a silver hair ornament with a large soft Pink Gem at the center with tiny Sapphires around the Gem.
Helena looks at the hair ornament, finding it beautiful. "It's beautiful, Lydia." She said, smiling at the Lund Family Heirloom.
"This Heirloom was passed down from Daughter to Daughter before their Wedding Ceremony. It's tradition for us that we replace the Gem at the center that matches the Person's favorite color. But the Sapphires stays since it's been there since the first Lund Woman purchased it. " She explains, pointing to the pink Gem. "Mine was a Blue Diamond and my Mother's was a Yellow one,"
Lydia chuckles at the inner joke through the generations. "It's also perfect for a charm for Weddings. Something Old (the Heirloom), something New (The Pink Gem), and something Blue (the Sapphires)."
The black-haired Woman covered her mouth, realizing what Lydia had done. "L-Lydia, you didn't-" Lydia merely smiled as Helena got up and hugged her from the other side.
"I had a feeling you would love it, dear," Lydia stated as Helena let go of her.
"It's perfect, thank you, Lydia," Helena said, picking up the Lund Family Heirloom. Looking at it carefully,
Lydia stood up, taking the Hair ornament from the box. "Here, let's try this on you," She said, gently doing Helena's hair tying it to a bun, and placing the ornament into her hair,
Diana quickly left and returned with two mirrors, anticipating what the two needed once she saw Lydia showing the Heirloom. "Here's two mirrors, Miss Lydia…" The Maid handed the mirrors to the Lady of the House.
"Thank you, Diana," Lydia said, appreciating her quick thinking. She then handed the mirror to Helena who lifted it to her face while Lydia lifted the second one behind her.
Helena saw the Lund Family Hair ornament situated in her hair, holding her hair in place. "It's beautiful, I had a Family Heirloom, but I left it at my old Home…" She said, remembering the Invisibility Cloak she left back at Hogwarts, by now it should be in the Potter Vault.
Lydia gave a sympathetic expression; she was aware of Helena's Family situation. "It's alright dear, if your Family was here, they would love to see you happy." The white-haired Woman said, knowing that all Parents want to see their Children happy.
Helena smiled, knowing that what Lydia said was true. If her Parents were here, they would be very happy for her, but she wasn't sure since Sirius is quite protective of her. From what he'd said, James would act the same way as he.
"Helena," The white-haired Woman called her Name, prompting her to look at her.
"Yes, Lydia?" Helena asked curiously.
The retired Pokemon Coordinator smiles softly, asking her something. "Have you decided who you want to walk you down the aisle, yet?" Lydia asked, curious about that. "I figured it would be Adam since you two are rather close, since he's your Guardian so to speak. Or rather your Brother, N."
"He's a prime Candidate to do so, since he's your Brother, regardless of your background," Lydia spoke, seeing the two possible Candidates walk down the Aisle.
The black-haired Professor ponders on what Lydia just asked her, "I haven't yet, though Professor Ceder would be willing to walk me down the Aisle. N would be also good choice too…it's kinda a difficult decision to make…" Helena said,
Lydia patted Helena's shoulders, "I know, but you have plenty of time to think about it." The white-haired Woman said softly, being Motherly to her Future Daughter.
Helena nodded, taking Lydia's advice. "Yes, you're right on that." She said before seeing Steven's Mother motions for her to return to her seat so they can continue with their Afternoon Tea.
"Let's not waste the food here, Helena. You'll need your strength when the time comes." Lydia said, passing a plate to Helena.
Later in the Day, Steven arrived at his Family's Home Gate on his Skarmory. "Thanks for the ride, Skarmory." Steven smiles at his Partner who replies with a happy screech.
Steven was about to enter when he saw N walking up the street to the Gate. "N? Are you here to see Ellie?" He asked the green-haired trainer.
"Hmm? Oh, Steven, I see you've returned." N cleared his throat, answering the Champion's question. "Yes, I've come to check up on Helena and inform her of what Detective Amethio told me." The former King of Team Plasma said.
"I see. Well, come on in, I'm sure Ellie would like to see you." Steven said, opening the Gates to his Parent's Home.
The green-haired trainer smiles, accepting the gesture. "Sure, thanks for the gesture," N said, seeing Steven call back the Armor Bird Pokemon.
The two young Men walk down the path of the Stone Mansion. They eventually reached the doors, entered the Mansion, and were greeted by Sebastian. "Master Steven, Master N, I wasn't expecting your arrival. But a welcome one." The black-haired Butler said, greeting the two.
"I'm back, Sebastian." Steven smiles, turning to N. "We're here to see Helena."
"Ah, Professor Potter is with Miss Lydia in the Living room," Sebastian informed the two where the Person they were looking for was.
N smiles, appreciating Sebastian's assistance. "Thank you for telling us, Sebastian." The green-haired trainer looks at Steven, knowing where the Living room is.
The two made their way to the Living room, laughter could be heard on the other side of the door. Opening it, both Steven and N were greeted by Helena and Lydia talking to each other with both Kirlia and Roserade by their side.
"Oh, Steven, N, I didn't expect you two to show up together." Lydia greeted her Son and Helena's Brother, welcoming the two Men to her Home.
"Roserade," Roserade waved his blue Roses at the two,
"Kirlia," Kirlia followed what the Grass/Poison-type Pokemon gestured,
Helena turns to the two who just entered the room, smiling at them. "Care to join us? We're just talking about Baby Names." She informed the two.
Lydia chuckles, "Helena told me the two Names you two already picked for your Sons." The white-haired Woman said, liking the Names they came up with. "Casey and Aiden, such unique Names for unique Children."
Steven chuckles, scratching his cheeks at what his Mother said. "Heh, thank you, Mother." The Champion said.
"Anyways, what brings you two here?" Helena asked both of them. "It's not every day that the two of you come to the Mansion together." The black-haired Woman commented, looking at them before noticing their concerned expression.
Lydia stands up, sensing that this is something regarding the break-in at the Potter Lab. "Roserade, let's leave them be for a moment." She looks at the young trainers, "This seems to be important for them…" The white-haired nodded at them,
"Roserade," The Bouquet Pokemon nodded, understanding the situation.
Once both Lydia and Roserade left the Living room, Steven and N sat down as Helena picked up Kirlia. "So…I can tell that the reason you two were here isn't a leisurely check on me," Helena said, looking at them seriously. "I can tell by your faces, it's not good news."
Steven looks at N, looking at him back before telling Helena what happened. "Helena, through the investigation, we discovered who is behind the break-in at your Lab," Steven said, informing her what they found. "Are you aware of the groups called…Team Magma and Team Aqua?" The Champion asked.
"Team Magma and Team Aqua?" The black-haired Professor said, hearing rumors about two Activist groups similar to the Team Plasma incident when she and N were at Unova. "Just rumors, they're two different Organizations that are similar to Team Plasma in Unova and Team Rocket in Johto and Kanto," Helena said,
Kirlia could feel a slight change in Helena's demeanor, however, she could also feel that N's feelings were twisted. "Kirlia…"
The Emotion Pokemon felt her Partner's hand on her head, prompting her to look at her. "Don't worry Kirlia, things are going to be okay," Helena said, ensuring Kirlia that there's nothing to worry about.
Steven nodded, "Yes, there was an incident in Slateport City with Team Magma and Aqua with a Friend of my Father's. Luckily, there was a trainer there who was able to protect him." The Hoenn Champion explains to his Girlfriend. "This and the Break-in in your Lab couldn't be a coincidence. These two are linked." He said.
"Out of the two, I'm not sure who broke into your Lab, Helena," Steven said half-heartedly.
"Alright, but do we know what exactly Team Magma and Team Aqua are after?" Helena asked the two Men before them.
Steven shook his head, only having a little information from Amethio and the Pokemon Rangers working on this Case. "It's unclear what their motives and goals are, however, one thing is for sure, each Team is after your Research, Helena." The Steel-blue haired Champion stated,
Helena didn't say anything, she knew her Research had been getting much attention and recognition since she published it in the Science Community. "I see…it pretty obvious that's what they're after for…" She said, picking up her Partner and placing her on her lap.
"Considering that they Named themselves Team Magma and Aqua, it's also obvious that they want a specific part of your Research, Helena." The green-haired trainer stated, seeing their goals as if it was displayed in the Museum.
Both Steven and Helena looked at N, surprised that he was able to know what the two Teams were after. "N, do you know what exactly Team Magma and Aqua are after?" The Hoenn Champion asked his Future Brother-in-Law.
N looks at the two, sharing what he assumes to be both Team's motives. "Helena, do you remember assisting Professor Ceder with his Research of two Orbs on Mt Pyre?" The former King of Team Plasma asked.
Helena merely nodded, answering her Brother's question. "That's right, I did assist him with that." The young Professor said, following along with N. "It was a part of my Research too,"
"Then do you remember what you exactly put in your Paper?" N asked, giving hints with his questioning. "Mainly on Legendary Pokemon?"
Helena ponders for a moment before remembering what she wrote in both Adam's and her Paper. "That even Legendary Pokemon have Original Forms. I do believe that Legendary Pokemon still retain a bit of power to revert back to their Original form, though with the assistance of Objects related to them…such as the Orbs and the two Legendary Pokemon… I call this phenomenon, Primal Reversion."
Steven closed his eyes, making the connection between the Incident, the two Teams, and the Two Legendary Pokemon. "N, you just earned yourself a pat on the back." He turns to the former King of Team Plasma. "If both Team Magma and Team Aqua are aiming to awaken both Kyogre and Groudon and revert them to their Original Forms then we have a major problem here." He said, knowing the Legends of the two.
"Steven, what are you going to do about this?" Helena looked at Steven, curious how he was going to counter this problem.
Steven ponders for a moment before answering his Girlfriend. "I'm going to stop them while they're still in the early stages of their plans." The Steel-blue haired Champion stated, determined to put an end to this plot.
N nodded, adding to what Steven said. "Then I'll help too. If anyone threatens the safety of my Sisters, they're not getting away with it." The green-haired trainer said, wanting to protect his Family.
The Hoenn Champion smiles, happy to have another pair of hands to help with this. "I'm glad, we need all the help we can get. Thank you, N." Steven said, appreciating his assistance.
Helena smiles, looking down at Kirlia, "See, I told you Kirlia. There's nothing to worry about." She said, feeling reassured that both Steven and N are working together to stop this threat.
Later that Night, after N returned to the Potter Laboratory. Helena and Steven had dinner with his Parents, afterwards, Steven guided Helena to her room. "Dinner was nice, it was livelier than before," Helena commented,
"That's because you're here. Family Dinners here in the Stone Household mean that an average Dinner here is a normal Dinner." Steven said, stopping at Helena's room door. He looks down, placing his hand on her Abdomen, "And it'll be more livelier when you two are here."
Helena giggles, anticipating for those Days to come. "I can't wait for that to happen, just thinking about it makes me excited." The black-haired Professor said, imagining those Days in her mind.
The Steel blue-haired Champion looks at his Girlfriend, smiling at her. "We got two Months left, Ellie. That time will come soon," Steven said, feeling like this is like a Dream. He then frowns remembering that something is preventing that Future from coming to be.
"Steven?" Helena asked, looking at her Boyfriend,
Steven took Helena's hands, looking at her with a serious expression. "Helena, I swear to Arceus, I'm going to stop both Team Magma and Aqua and make sure Hoenn is safe for all three of you." The Hoenn Champion stated, promising her to ensure nothing will harm them.
Helena smiles, placing her hand on his cheek. "I know you will, Steven." She leans in, kissing him on the lips.
Later that night, when everyone was in bed, Courtney stood in the Forested area, seeing the Stone Family Mansion before her. "All three of you, follow my lead. According to my prediction…" The Team Magma Admin saw the power turned off, indicating the Security System was off. "Just as I calculated, the whole complex is on an Energy recycling cycle."
Maya crosses her arms, finding that impressive that Courtney can see that far into the Future. "Gotta admit, Ability Users have some scary Abilities."
"Enough chatter, let's go before the power turns on." The Grunt said as the four Members of Team Plasma infiltrated the Property.
