Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 10
Land of Tea: With Naruto, Temari and Kankuro
Naruto, Temari and Kankuro were walking across the land of Tea from east to west; due to in climate weather they have to take another route back to Suna via the southern ports. Naruto however was not complaining as he was just happy to have Konoha off his back once again.
"Man, I'm glad to be back" Naruto said looking around "I remember this place; I came here once with my old team, we were trying to see if we could see our sensei's face" he said.
"Hoho really" Kankuro said "I'm not going to lie; I always wondered what he looks like under that mask" Kankuro said.
"I bet that it was blimp lips" Naruto said; both Temari and Kankuro imagined Kakashi with blimp lips and chuckled.
"I don't know" Temari said amused "maybe he had uneven nostrils; like one was really big and another was really small" she said. As she said that both Naruto and Kankuro both looked thoughtful and imagined Kakashi looking like that.
"That's a good one" Naruto said with a chuckle "so when we arrive to the port, we just hop on a ship to one of Wind countries southern ports" Naruto asked and Temari nodded.
"Yep, pretty much; shouldn't take us no more than 3 or 4 more days to get back home" Temari said.
"Sweet" Naruto cheered "oh yeah Temari" Naruto said catching her attention.
"Yeah, what's up" Temari asked.
"I just remembered that new 'Princess Gale' movie is coming out soon" Naruto said making her raise a eye brow "do you want to go with me" Naruto asked making Temari go wide eyed.
'Wait what' Temari shouted in her mind.
"Yeah me, Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon all liked to go and watch them together; so do you wanna go with me" Naruto asked.
Temari was not blushing and fidgeting 'oh man is he asking me out on a date, right now, oh man I'm not ready for something like this' Temari thought; Temari then took in a deep breath "sure" Temari said quickly. 'What the hell is that all I could come up with; oh man he going to think- 'She began.
"Awesome; I'll buy the tickets when we get back" Naruto said with happiness in his voice 'alright I got a movie buddy again; Temari's so awesome' Naruto thought.
Kankuro looked at both his fidgeting sister and the merrily walking Naruto 'god they are bot so clueless' he thought.
A few hours later: at dusk
Naruto, Temari and Kankuro were still walking as the sun was getting ready to set; Naruto yawned "damn I'm tired; should we find a place to set up camp tonight" he said and Kankuro shook his head.
"We can't; look" he said as he pointed to the rain clouds off in the distance "it's going to rain like hell soon; we have to keep moving until we can find an inn or something" he said.
"Hey look" Temari said pointing up ahead; there was a woman and a girl the woman seemed to be around 10 or 11 trying to push a cart that had a busted wheel "we should help" she said and Naruto nodded.
"Right" Naruto said as he walked towards the 2 "hey do you guys need help" Naruto shouted towards the 2 women; both women turned around and the young girl pulled out a kunai while getting in front of the woman.
"Hold it buster" the girls said pointing the kunai at Naruto who had his hands up "who're ya and why're you's in tea country; I can's see you're Suna shinobi" she said.
"Woah, woah hold up; I'm just trying to help" Naruto said; Naruto looked at the both women. The older woman seemed to be just a regular farmer; she had brown hair, brown eyes and looked pretty but other than that very ordinary. The girl on the other hand looked oddly familiar; she had raven black hair, onyx eyes and pale skin. The girl also had this aura around her; and judging as to how she was holding the kunai she had shinobi training but no combat experience.
"Calm down Kurumi" the woman said to Kurumi "I'm thinkin' these here folks are tryin' to help us" she said and Kurumi scoffed.
"How'd we know these here folks ain't gonna rob us ma; you's too trustin'" Kurumi said looking at Naruto "besides; I aint trusting no one who hides his face behin' a mask" she said.
"Please calm down" Temari said raising her hands up "we can seal up your cart and give it to you; no need for violence" she said. Kurumi looked at her and nodded.
"Fine" Kurumi said "but I got my eye on you's blondie; don't forget now" she said and Temari nodded.
"Kankuro seal up the cart" Temari said and Kankuro nodded as he walked forward and sealed up the cart.
"Here take it" Kankuro said slowly handing the scroll to the woman "we'll be going now" he said as he, Naruto and Temari all began to walk down the road.
"Wait hol' up" The woman said "that there storm is comin' in pretty quick; if you want y'all can come and spend the night on the farm" she said and Kuromi looked at her.
"Ma! We can't trust these folks; we don't know them" Kurumi said.
"Now honey if they wanted to do somethin' to us they'd have done it already" the woman said and Kurumi huffed as she pouted "c'mon and get some food; I'ma making chicken stew tonight" she said.
"Are you sure" Temari asked "you don't have to" she said.
"No, I insist sweetie" the woman said "I'm Sango and this's my daughter Kurumi; and we'll be happy to have ya" she said with a smile.
"Well, I'm sold" Naruto said walking forward "lead the way misses" Naruto said and Sengo nodded.
"Follow me y'all" Sango said as Naruto, Temari, Kankuro and a pouting Kurumi followed.
2 hours later
"Man, that was some great chicken stew Ms. Sango" Naruto said pushing his bowl away "I'm gonna be full til morning" he said rubbing his stomach.
"Well thank you Menma" Sango said using Naruto's new alias "and I'm so glad you took off that mask; such a handsome boy like ya should show his face" she said and Naruto blushed.
"Aww you're to kind miss" Naruto said as he walked around the table picking up the bowls "let me help with the dishes" Naruto said and Sango nodded.
"So, Kurumi" Temari said to the raven-haired girl "where's your dad; is he here or…" she said.
"My Pa's alive" Kurumi said "he's out in the fields movin' them sheep; me and ma just got dome taking a few into town" she said.
"How long have you been living here" Kankuro asked and Sango smiled.
"I've been in this here spot all my life" Sango said "my pa owned this land and I got it when he died of the pox; I met my husband a year later. I was 16 he was 14 and we just hit it off; he's still got along way to go with farm life" she said.
"How so" Naruto asked and Sango chuckled.
"My hubby messes up more times than not" Sango said with a giggle "he's bad with plants, animals, buildin'; hell he's forget his ass if it weren't attached to him" she said and Kurumi laughed.
"Pa is good at one thing though" Kuromi said "he was a shinobi along time ago; but he got hurt and abandoned" she said and Naruto looked at her.
"Damn; I know the feeling" Naruto said making both Sango and Kurumi curious and Temari and Kankuro look at him with sadness. Just then a figure was spotted by Sango outside walking up to the door.
"Bout' damn time; I swear that he's gonna be the death of me" Sango said as the door opened up revealing a man with black hair, an eye patch over his right eye and the right side of his face heavily scarred.
"Hot damn it's raining hard out there" Obito said entering the house "how's it going babe" Obito asked before he saw the room; his wife and daughter were there with 3 suna ninja a blonde girl, a boy with paint on his face and a blonde boy with whisker marks. Tobi dropped his bag as he saw Naruto.
"Naruto" Tobi said making Naruto, Kankuro and Temari freeze.
"How do you know my name" Naruto said; the next moment he had to dodge a kunai as it few past him and stuck into the wall "hey what the fuck" Naruo shouted.
"I knew it; you'd come back for revenge" Obito shouted as he took out a kunai "Kurumi get ready" Obito shouted. Kurumi jumped across the room in front of her mother; Kurumi then closed her eyes and opened them revealing a pair of 1 tomoe sharingan.
"Revenge for what; I don't know you dude" Naruto shouted.
"Don't lie; it's the fox isn't it" Obito said shocking Naruto "I tried damn it; I tried to stop the attack, it's not my fucking fault" he said.
"What attack, what are you talking about" Temair said holding a kunai herself as her fan was useless inside the structure.
"Drop the kunai" Kankuro said summoning out crow.
"Everyone calms the fuck down" Sango shouted making them all look at her "Obito sit here" Sango said pulling a chair at the end of the table. "Now" she commanded and Obito walked over and sat down "Now Menma, or Naruto or what ever the fuck your name now is; sit" she said pulling out another chair and he sat down. "Now then" Sango began calmly "why's my husband trying to kill a boy who lied about his name, in my house, in the claim of revenge" she asked.
"Yeah dude; how do you know me" Naruto asked.
"You really don't know" Obito asked and Naruto shook his head "oh god damn" Obito said rubbing his temples. "Ok so this is how the story goes" Obito said taking in a deep breath "I am a student of your father, I was there during the Kyuubi attack where I met you for the one and only time, and I was the one who failed to stop Zetsu in time" he said as Naruto grew quite as the entire room was now dead silent.
"What" Naruto said shocked and confused.
"This is what happened" Obito said.
Flashback 13 years ago
Obito was rushing to Konoha as fast as he could 'Madara, Zetsu, you crazy bastards; I told you not to do it' he thought as he ran; as he did, he heard a roar that pierced through the air and nearly ruptured his ear drums 'no' he thought. Obito rushed ahead to a cliff and saw the Kyuubi causing death and destruction.
"My god" Obito said.
"No; not, god me" Black Zetsu said as he came out of the darkness holding a baby Naruto "Hello Obito" Zetsu said.
"Zetsu; what the hell did you do" Obito shouted.
"I did what you were too weak to do Obito" Zetsu said "I have unleashed the 9 tails upon Konoha; just like how master Madara wanted, like how you were supposed to" he said and Obito growled.
"I didn't want this" Obito said "hand over the kid or else" Obito said and Zetsu laughed as helooked down at Naruto.
"And what will you-" Zetsu began until he was grabbed by Obito and sucked into a vortex; upon landing Zetsu looked around as saw he was in a dimension void of any life.
"Like it Zetsu" Obito asked "this is my Kamui dimension; your final resting place" Obito said getting into a fighting stance. "Hand over the kid" Obito said and Zetsu chuckled.
"Sure" Zetsu said; Zetsu then threw Naruto at Obito. Obito in a panic reached out and was about to grab him but froze when he saw Zetsu approach him with a kunai; Zetsu stabbed Obito just as he caught Naruto. Obito retaliated by kicking Zetsu away; Obito looked down and saw the kunai sticking out of his gut "Always the fool Obito" he said. "You should've listened to master Madara" he said and Obito began to laugh.
"And you should've killed me when you had the chance" Obito said as he opened another vortex and vanished; Zetsu's eyes the widened in realization. Obito never intended to fight him; he intended to leave him in this dimension.
"Obito!" Zetsu shouted into the empty abyss that surrounded him.
In the real world
Obito landed with a crying Naruto 'have fun Zetsu' Obito thought as he rocked the baby in his arms 'huh this kids hair he looks like-' he began.
"I found you" came a voice; there was a yellow flash and Minato Namikaze the fourth hokage landed "you there masked man; give me back my son" he shouted.
"Minato sensei; stop it's me" Obito said taking off his mask shocking Minato "I didn't take him; I killed the guy who did though" Obito said as he handed Naruto back to Minato who began to comfort the child.
"Oh god Naruto" Minato said as he looked at Obito "how are you alive, where have you been" Minato asked.
"I tried to stop all this sensei" Obito said holding his head down "but Madara and Zetsu… I was too slow" he said. He was brought out of his thoughts by the Kyuubi ravaging the village "we need to stop the 9-tails" Obtio said but Minato held his hand up.
"I can stop it myself; you need to go" Minato said shocking Obito "if the leaf finds out you're alive they kill you; especially if you had anything to do with this" Minato said and Obito teared up. "Leave, hide, start a family; but don't come back, I'll take this secret to my grave" Minato said; Obtio wiped his tears and turned around.
"Goodbye Sensei" Obito said before vanishing in a vortex; Minato shed a tear as he looked back at the burning village.
'Goodbye Obito' Minato said as he vanished in a yellow flash.
Flashback end
"And I've been hiding here eversince" Obito said finishing his story.
Everyone listening was stunned except for Naruto who was shocked.
"My father was the Fourth Hokage" Naruto muttered "he sealed the Kyuubi inside me, he gave me this burden, he was the one who made my life a living hell" Naruto said as he began to grip the table. 'Fox, can you hear me, is that true' Naruto asked inside his mind.
"Yes Kit" The Kyuubi responded "Frankly it doesn't matter; fourth Hokage or not he did ruin your life by sealing me inside you, he could've teleported me away from the village but he didn't" the Kyuubi said.
Naruto began to sob as now he knew the whole truth; his pain, his suffering, his shitty life, all because of his father. Naruto then felt 2 pairs of arms wrap around him; Temari and Sango were holding him as the tears rolled down his cheeks.
Kankuro looked down 'man what our father did to Gaara was intentional; but Naruto's dad messing up his life by accident… damn' he thought.
'Damn it sensei' Obito thought 'sacrificing both Naruto's and your life for the village; poor choice' he thought.
Kurumi was looking on in sadness when she felt a massive chakra presence outside the house "Pa we got company" Kurumi said and Obito, Naruto, Temari and Kankuro looked at her. Naruto put on his mask and rushed out of the house and looked off into the Tea field with Obtio, Kurumi, Temari and Kankuro following him.
'Oh shit' Naruto thought as he looked ahead; there were 25 Oto ninja standing in the middle of the field and Naruto spotted one who he recognized right away.
"Hello Kankuro, Temari" Kabuto said with a smile "long time no see" he said.
"Kabuto; what are you doing here" Temari said clutching her fan.
"I'm here to collect you and Kankuro" Kabuto said "please come quietly; there is no need for blood shed" he said.
"Hey Obito" Naruto said "we can chat later; mind helping us out" Naruto asked; Obito nodded.
"Sure kid" Obito said as he raised up his eye patch revealing a sharingan shocking Kabuto "Kurumi; stay close to me, this is going to be your first fight" Obtio said and Kurumi nodded as she activated her Sharingan as well.
"Sure Pa" Kurumi said.
"Let's do this" Kankuro said holding crow in front of him.
Temari readied her fan while Naruto brought out his smaller fans.
"Damn it" Naruto growled "why can't I have a normal mission" he whined as he looked at the enemy force ahead.
Ok another chapter done; I hope you all enjoyed it. So yeah, Obito is in the story now and he has a family; pretty neat the way Sango and Kurumi are talking with deep southern accents so just a little Fyi on their speech patterns.
