Finally, the day came of the Pretty Pony Pageant.
No one could believe the number of horses that were being entered into the competition. People from all across the galaxy and their ponies came along to compete for the title of Pony Pageant Queen or King, as well as the five million credit prize.
There were big horses and small horses, short horses, tall horses, horses with lots of colors, some with just one, horses with wings, horses with horns, horses with horns and wings, and horses with neither. And they were all with their riders, getting ready for the competition.
"Wow! I don't think I've seen so many horses even when I was training to be a guard." Carousella said.
Since Carmine was going to be judging as Count Crescendo, Rex filled in to be Harmony's rider for the competition. They needed every horse they could get, and the rules said that every horse competing must have a rider. All the horses were bathed, brushed, and prepped for the competition.
Comedia walked with her father to get checked in, when she gasped and tried to hide behind a sign.
"Comedia, what's the matter?" Ki-Adi said.
"She's here!" Comedia whispered.
"Who?"
Comedia turned her father to the direction she was looking, and there was none other than Emeraldi, and she was with a young human girl with brown hair tied in a high ponytail, and dressed in a very fancy dressage outfit. And Comedia recognized that girl all too well.
"What's the matter with Comedia?" Ahsoka asked.
Comedia showed Ahsoka and Fiesta what she showed her father.
"You see that girl Emeraldi's with?" Comedia said. "She's one of my former riders!"
"I take it things didn't end well?" Ahsoka said.
"I might've ruined her birthday a few years ago."
"How? Another prank?"
"Not exactly."
"What do you mean, 'not exactly'?
"Well... what I did wasn't exactly a prank."
That was when a dream cloud appeared over Comedia's head, and we flash back to the Crazy Caballo Birthday Bungle.
Three years ago...
In one of the richest cities on Serenno, there was a young girl named Brittney Parisia, daughter of the very wealthy Octavius Parisia. It was her twelfth birthday, and the spoiled girl demanded a horse for her birthday. So, her father looked into all kinds of ads for thoroughbred horses, and then he found one for an alicorn that was of royal blood named Comedia Evermare.
And on the day of the party, Gentry Evermare presented Mr. Parisia with his youngest daughter Comedia.
Comedia sniffed around the place.
"She is as lovely as her picture." said Mr. Parisia.
"I hope she will do well in your household."
Mr. Parisia gave Gentry a handsome payment for Comedia and had one of his servants bring out a bridle and saddle for Comedia.
"Here girl, it's time to meet your new owner." said the servant.
Except, eleven-year-old Comedia started to back up when she saw the rein.
"What are you gonna do with that?" said Comedia.
"Hold still now, it's just a saddle."
But Comedia's ears flopped backward and she got down in a position that signaled aggression, making the servant back up. They thought maybe they could persuade her with a treat. Most horses liked apples, so they got out a nice big, red and shiny apple and held it to Comedia. Comedia sniffed the apple and started to munch it, and the servant started carefully placing the saddle on Comedia, and then the bridle.
Now that Comedia was calm, the servant began escorting the young alicorn to the backyard where the party was taking place. Maybe this new place wouldn't be so bad. Plus, her new rider was a kid, and kids loved pony rides. Maybe this rider would appreciate her sense of humor.
Mr. Parisia called for everyone's attention as it was time to present Brittney with her extra special present.
"Happy birthday, my little princess."
Brittney looked at the horse she was presented. Comedia smiled at the girl, her tail swishing as she was happy to meet her.
"This horse is green." said Brittney, sounding upset. "I wanted a blonde horse."
"Well, there weren't any available, Dear. But this one is a fast runner and comes from a royal family. And, she is wearing the diamond saddle you wanted."
"My name's Comedia." Comedia said, sniffing the girl's hair. But she slapped Comedia's nose.
Comedia neighed in surprise, backing away in shock.
"Don't sniff me. And I don't like the name Comedia. It's stupid. I'm gonna name you Tiffany. You got that?"
Comedia scrunched her nose and said, "You don't have to be so bratty about it."
"Be quiet! I'm your rider and you have to listen to me. And I wanna ride."
"With that attitude?" Comedia scoffed and turned her tail at her. "Talk to the tail."
"Daddy! Tiffany's not listening to me."
"And my name is Comedia!"
"Comedia... I mean, Tiffany. Listen to your rider, girl." Mr. Parisia said, getting Comedia into the corral and putting Brittney on her back.
"Giddyup, Tiffany!" said Brittney, but Comedia didn't go. "I said, giddyup!"
And Brittney slapped Comedia on her rear really hard, which really angered the alicorn.
With an angry snort, Comedia said, "You want me to giddyup? Then get ready for a ride!"
Comedia started running, and at first Brittney was happy... but then Comedia started randomly jumping and spinning, which made Brittney struggle to hold on, and then she ran through some mud and splashed around, making Brittney scream as her outfit was getting ruined, and then Comedia ran really fast and only stopped when she got close to the fence, and threw her backside up, throwing Brittney off her back and making her crash into the gift table.
"My baby!" Brittney's mother cried.
And Comedia didn't stop there. She jumped over the fence and shook all the mud off onto the guests, covering everyone in mud! And then, she devoured the birthday cake right in front of Brittney.
"Daddy! I don't like this horse!" Brittney cried as she was hurt physically and emotionally.
"That's it! This horse is going back where we got her!" Mr. Parisia decided.
Present Day...
"You did all of that?" Fiesta said.
"She was really bratty." Comedia said. "And I was only eleven at the time. I didn't have a lot of time to set up any pranks. The Parisias had a pretty bad screaming match with my parents when Brittney got out of the hospital."
"Then why does she have your sister?" said Ahsoka.
"She probably got so desperate for a rich life again that she was willing to get a permanent rider." Comedia said, coming out from her hiding place. "I can't let her or Brittney see me here!"
"Comedia, that was three years ago. She probably doesn't even remember." Ki-Adi said.
But, Brittney spotted Comedia.
"Daddy! Security!" cried Brittney. "There's a dangerous horse here!"
"She remembers." Comedia groaned.
"Comedia?" said Emeraldi, approaching the younger pony. "What are you doing here?"
"I should be asking you the same question... sis."
"If you must know, Mother moved back into her family's old estate after the divorce, and Father needed my help to earn money. So, I did him one favor in return for getting a rich life again."
Last month...
"I assure you, Mr. Parisia. Emeraldi is nothing like that other former daughter of mine." said Gentry. "She is perfect in every way. Graduated top of her class at Ms. Minchin's Charm School, sings like an angel, and most importantly, won't throw her rider off."
"Your ad for the last horse said she was of royal blood and gentle temperament, and at the party she was aggressive and a menace. My daughter suffered several broken bones because of your other daughter. So, why should I trust anything you have to say now?"
"Because I'd like to give you a trial run before paying for her. Three days. If Emeraldi proves to your liking, you pay me then. If not, I shall take her back."
"If my daughter ends up injured because of her, I will have you sued, and this time you won't have royal titles to save you."
Present Day...
"So, I guess you have a rider now, huh? I'm surprised you lasted a day with her." Comedia said.
"I'm stronger than I look." Emeraldi said.
Emeraldi got closer and nuzzled Comedia to wish her good luck, until Brittney grabbed her rein and yanked her away.
"Come on, Emmy. Time to get ready to beat these hoedown freaks." Brittney said.
"Break a leg Comedia," said Emeraldi, suddenly looking more nervous than her younger sister.
Comedia shook her head.
"That little brat hasn't changed one bit." she said.
"Nevermind her, Comedia." said Ki-Adi. "The important thing now is to do your best to stay in the competition."
The announcers soon came up to announce the beginning of the pageant.
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen," said a woman who stood by a beautiful brown horse with a ginger mane. "I'm Natasha Rodeya, your hostess for this competition. And this is my faithful steed Kalipso."
"We welcome you all to the twentieth annual Pretty Pony Pageant, where horses and their riders come to compete for the coveted title of Prettiest Pony of them All." said Kalipso. "And here contestants must make it through the four categories: Beauty, Style, Agility, and Talent."
"And who makes the final cut will be decided by our panel of judges, two of which are very famous figures."
And then they introduced the two celebrity judges.
"First, the beautiful, the lovely, the wondrous beloved ruler of Equinaro and a past winner of the Pretty Pony Pageant, Queen Reigna Saddleheart!"
The crowd cheered as Reigna smiled and raised her feathery wings as a greeting.
"And of course, we mustn't forget the singing sensation everyone wants to be, but no one knows who he really is... Count Crescendo!"
The competition began. There were fifty horses in all, but only one would come out on top. And nineteen of them were the horses belonging to the royal family and their friends. They had to make sure they made it through the rounds of the competition.
"And here we begin the first category of the competition. Beauty."
("C'Mon Y'all" by Salme Dahlstrom)
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la
One by one, all the beautiful horses made their way down the runway with their riders, each of them dressed in a beautiful saddle, dress, or suit. Of course, Emeraldi was definitely beautiful in the long sleeve green dress she wore, and there were lots of other lovely horses too.
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Sapphire was without a doubt as lovely as the gem that shared her name, and Maybelle was a sight to behold. Indira, however, was absolutely gorgeous!
I'm coming fast I'm coming hard
Ready to blow up like a bomb Im in a rush, a manic crush
And my bio-musical clock is ticke-ticke-tocking
Got something juicy for y'all All you Billy boys in particular
So shake the fire down below
Don't move too fast, don't rock too slow
But while there were so many lovely horses, a lot of them did get eliminated, and at least a couple of the Jedi's were no exception.
Now Sing!
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la-la Sing ooh la-la-la-la C'mon y'all
Ooh la-la Sing ooh ooh ooh
And Comedia entered with absolute grace and poise, looking absolutely lovely with her straightened hair in a ponytail. The judges all loved how pretty she looked. Queen Reigna, however, looked surprised to see her second cousin there, knowing she was not a fan of pageantry.
C'mon C'mon y'all
Give me a break
C'mon c'mon
Lets shake it
C'mon C'mon
Y'all Bring it, ring it, sing it like you ain't never gonna kick it
C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon Y'all
C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon Y'all
"Oh no!" Gabby said. "Citrus and Pinto have been eliminated."
"No fair!" Wrecker whined.
"It was those stupid other three judges." Citrus said, they wouldn't know true beauty if it hit them in the-"
Anakin covered Gabby's ears as Citrus began angrily using language inappropriate for little kids to hear.
"Watch your mouth, Citrus." Plo scolded.
"Don't worry. We've still got seventeen horses left." Anakin said. "Citrus, Pinto, you and your riders stay and make sure you holler if you spot a mariclava anywhere."
Ki-Adi and the others quickly started to get their horses ready for the next part of the competition: Style. Fifty horses came in, and now only thirty were left.
And there were lots of beautiful costumes. Sparkly costumes, fancy costumes, fun costumes, even very original costumes.
Carousella came out in her carousel horse costume, and Maybelle dressed as a southern belle. Crescent dressed as an astronaut, and Magenta dressed in a really sparkly outfit from a music video she'd done a music video last year. Estrella was dressed in a gown that was covered in stars like the galaxy, and Strawberry Sundae was dressed in a very berry covered outfit. Even Grassi looked amazing in her mermaid themed outfit.
And then came Comedia in her beautiful blue dress and hair ribbon. The audience was gasping at how beautiful she looked walking down the runway. Unfortunately, a few more of their friends got eliminated this round too.
Zipp, Sunheart, Banjo, and Strawberry all got eliminated from the second round.
"This isn't looking good." said Hunter, brushing Indira's mane as it was almost time for the third round: Agility.
While their friends who remained in the competition were warming up for the next round, Citrus, Pinto, Zipp, Sunheart, Banjo, and Strawberry and their riders all patrolled the stadium and checked for any signs of mariclavas. So far, nothing.
Banjo and Echo began searching around the back side of the stadium with Zipp and Eeth. Mini R2 came along too.
"We'll head East, you go West." said Eeth.
"Yes, Sir." Echo saluted.
Banjo sniffed about and looked for any signs of mariclavas anywhere. So far, nothing. But, it was getting dark outside. So, Banjo lit up his horn so he and the other flying horses could search from above.
"Sense anything up there, Banjo?" called Echo.
Banjo looked around.
"All clear up here." Banjo said.
"Are we sure there are even any mariclavas?" said Strawberry. "Butterflies don't tend to fly at night, to my knowledge."
"But technically, moths come out at night." Zipp said, looking around. "And Garrett Heartwood did say that dark Doresho Gypsies often turn butterflies into moths."
Citrus started to shiver as he and Plo did their search.
"Is it just me, or is it getting kinda chilly out here?" Citrus asked his rider.
Plo put a special sweater on Citrus, being one to prepare.
"It is indeed getting cold right now." Plo said, feeling a little chilly himself, definitely not used to being in cold weather.
However, the chills only seemed to increase as time went by.
"It's starting to feel like someone left the refrigerator open out here!" Strawberry shivered. It was even too cold for her to keep flying.
"You're right about that." Mace said. "I thought the weather was supposed to be warming up by now."
And that was when a ghostly breeze blew, and it got colder.
"What's going on?" said Strawberry.
Suddenly...
NEEEEEEEIGHHHH!
"That sounded like Citrus!" said the pink pegasus.
And then Mace screamed when he saw something, and then Strawberry did too!
And the area became darker.
The agility portion of the competition was going very well. Naturally, the Marehearts got through the course easy peasy, as they'd all had time to practice the physical trials of a royal guard. Sapphire got through it very well too. And Maybelle, with all her energy, probably set a new record for fastest time. But, the course was a little big for Diamond to do, which led to her getting eliminated.
But... Hydrangea also got eliminated, and so did Peppermint! That only left fourteen horses left in the Jedi's group, and there were only twenty horses left in all. One of them was Emeraldi.
And now came the fourth category: Talent.
There were lots of talents listed, many song and dance routines.
Maybelle did an amazing routine spinning a lasso and doing all kinds of great tricks with it.
"Yeehaw!" she shouted as she did her big finish.
Round n' Round did an amazing routine spinning her hoops, starting with just one around her waist. But then, she spun two on her tail, one on her horn, and then spun a whole bunch of them all at once and tossed them into the air and jumped through them!
Remix, of course, did a break dance routine, Carousella broke some boards and other tough materials to show off her karate skills, and Crescent tap danced. Lamenta didn't even know he could do that. Estrella and Omega did a little cheerleading routine together, which definitely earned a lot of points on agility and skill.
Teatra sang 'Defying Gravity' from Wicked, but Indira had a more unusual talent that no one expected.
Indira stood on stage dressed in a magenta leotard, a couple of beams on stage for her act. The room turned dark, the lights focused on her.
Oh ma douce souffrance
Pourquoi s'acharner? Tu recommences
Je ne suis qu'un être sans importance
Sans lui, je suis un peu paro
Je déambule seule dans le métro
Indira started out with a few smooth movements and poses she typically did when she did yoga.
Une dernière danse
Pour oublier ma peine immense
Je veux m'enfuir que tout recommence
Oh ma douce souffrance
And then, Indira's positions started to turn a little more advanced and more unnatural looking, especially for a horse. Getting into a bridge position, being able to do splits and all kinds of movements only really flexible humanoid beings could do.
Je remue le ciel, le jour, la nuit
Je danse avec le vent, la pluie
Un peu d'amour, un brin de miel
Et je danse, danse, danse, danse, danse, danse, danse
No one could believe their eyes! A pegasus who could do contortion? Even Hunter hadn't known about this! He knew Indira was more flexible than most horses, but not that flexible. She was probably even more flexible than Carmine!
"Is this even possible?" said one judge.
"I've never seen anything like this, that's for sure." Crescendo agreed.
Comedia watched from backstage as Indira's act went on.
"Wow! Indira's so good." Comedia said.
"You will be great as well, Comedia." said Ki-Adi. "You remember your song?"
"I do."
Comedia looked at the lyrics to her song. She was supposed to sing "Tree of Life" (Indina Menzel) a very smooth and beautiful song. But Comedia thought it sounded kind of sad and heart wrenching. But, it was what everyone else wanted her to do.
As Ki-Adi left to make sure all was going well, Emeraldi approached her younger sister.
"I must admit, Comedia." said Emeraldi. "You've come a long way since I last saw you."
Comedia was surprised to hear Emeraldi say that.
"Thank you."
"Too bad it won't be enough to beat my horse." said Brittany, stepping in.
"Who says I want to beat you?" said Comedia. "I doubt you treat my sister much better than you treated me."
"Since when does your opinion matter? She's my horse now. I can do whatever I want with her."
"Were you even matched with the Equinary?"
"No one ever accomplished anything with a stupid book."
"Win or lose this pageant, I am gonna be a princess soon, and one of the judges is my cousin, so don't test me when I say I can have you disqualified and executed with one call."
Just then, Emeraldi was called to do her act.
"Ponies like you don't deserve crowns." Brittany said. "You can change your hair and wardrobe all you like, but you'll always be nothing but a joke. A clowny, goofy little mare who wouldn't know proper princess deeds if they hit her in the face."
Comedia went to her spot to wait her turn and looked at Benny the panda bear. It was the one thing she took with her that kept her calm throughout this whole ordeal. She looked in the mirror. She was dressed in a sparkly silver gown to look like a star when she went out to sing her song.
Comedia really didn't look like herself. She started to wonder now. Would she be able to really make it as a princess? She looked like a princess now, but she didn't feel like herself.
Comedia:
Look at me
I will never pass for a perfect bride
Or a perfect daughter
Can it be
I'm not meant to play this part
Now I see, that if I were truly to be myself
I would break my family's heart
Comedia looked in the mirror again and thought back to who she was a few days ago. That curly haired pony who oved jokes, making people laugh, and yet she didn't have her spirit mark yet.
Who is that mare I see
Staring straight back at me
Why is my reflection someone I don't know
Somehow I cannot hide
Who I am, though I've tried
When will my reflection show who I am inside
When will my reflection show who I am inside
Emeraldi went out and sang a famous song called Habanera from the opera Carmen. And she sang very beautifully.
Comedia started to cry as she thought about what Brittany said to her a few minutes ago. Ki-Adi came back with a flower for Comedia to wear in her mane, but he noticed Comedia crying.
"Comedia, what's the matter?" he asked, wiping her tears away with a handkerchief.
Comedia told her father all the nasty things Emeraldi's rider said and how they upset her a lot.
"Comedia, don't worry about what Brittany says. You are a beautiful young mare and you deserve everything good you are getting." He told her. "If anything, she's just jealous that you have more of a heart than she ever could hope for, and a greater sense of humor."
"But I had to hide who I am here, don't you get that?" Comedia said. "This hair, the fancy gowns, the perfect poses... none of that is me! I'm not a prize painted horse. I'm a comedian. And that's what I wanna be. There haven't been any mariclavas, and there probably won't be any tonight."
Ki-Adi looked at his clava detector and figured his daughter might be right. Nothing odd seemed to happen, aside from the ones who'd been eliminated thus far not answering their comms. That was odd.
Comedia looked onto the stage and watched Emeraldi as she held out one of her wings and did some gesture where she seemed to fold it in halfway and did so three times, and she did it with her other wing towards the audience as she walked offstage.
"Emeraldi?" Comedia gasped when she saw the gesture.
And soon, it was Comedia's turn to perform.
"Don't worry, Comedia. You don't have to do this much longer." Ki-Adi promised. "Just go out there and show everyone what a voice you have."
"Okay, but I need you get someone to talk to Cousin Reigna." Comedia said. "In case she didn't see it, tell her Emeraldi used the in-caged flap and PPS needs to be called."
As her father left, Comedia looked out to the stage and thought about what he said. And she made an important decision.
I'll show them what a voice I do have. But not with this song.
Comedia threw her lyrics away and called Omega over, being the first person with a cell phone she saw.
"You got music on your phone, right?" she asked.
"Yes, I do." Omega said.
Comedia whispered something to Omega before stepping on stage.
Comedia tapped the microphone as it was her time to perform.
"Hello," said Comedia, her voice echoing slightly thanks to the microphone. "My name is Comedia Mundi, and instead of singing 'Tree of Life,' I'm going to sing a song by Count Crescendo that's inspired me to say what I have to say to those who want to bring me down."
The others were surprised by this, and an upbeat tune started playing and Comedia tapped her hoof and started singing.
Comedia:
I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath
Scared to rock the boat and make a mess
So I sat quietly, agreed politely
I guess that I forgot I had a choice
I let you push me past the breaking point
I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything
Comedia thought of how Brittany, Cordelia, and Gentry made her feel and her decision not to let them push her around anymore.
You held me down, but I got up (hey)
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder, gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up (hey)
Get ready 'cause I've had enough
I see it all, I see it now
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter
Dancing through the fire
'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
You're gonna hear me roar
So far, the judges were impressed, especially Queen Reigna and Count Crescendo.
Now I'm floatin' like a butterfly
Stinging like a bee, I earned my stripes
I went from zero, to my own hero
You held me down, but I got up (hey)
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder, gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up (hey)
Get ready 'cause I've had enough
I see it all, I see it now
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter
Dancing through the fire
'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
You're gonna hear me roar
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh (you'll hear me roar)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
You're gonna hear me roar
Comedia started to feel really good now, and she decided to really sing it louder than she'd ever sang before.
Roar, roar, roar, roar, roar
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter
Dancing through the fire
'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh (yeah)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
You're gonna hear me roar
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh (you'll hear me roar)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
You're gonna hear me roar
The crowd was cheering as Comedia finished her song.
However, that was when the lights went out!
And then some very dim lights came on, and laughter could be heard. Familiar laughter.
"I'm back." sang a familiar voice.
Gabby and Lamenta recognized this woman all too well.
"Silvaria!" they exclaimed at the same time.
"Time for everyone to face their fears!"
And in the room, it filed with blobs of black smoke with glowing red eyes, all of which shape shifted into various things, all people's worst fears!
For Wrecker, one of them lifted him really high up into the air and made him look down.
"Help!" Wrecker screamed, hanging on for dear life. "Get me down!"
Gabby looked at one, and it transformed into a giant hairy spider! The little girl screamed and ran away as it chased after her.
Everyone got scared and ran as the creatures, known as pesadilas, chased after them and turned into everyone's biggest fears!
"Omega, turn on the lights!" Lamenta said. "Pesadilas hate light!"
So, Omega started to work her magic, only for one pesadila to come at her and transform into a familiar creature that nearly killed her on Saleucami. Omega screamed and tried to run away, but the pesadila looked into her eyes and had her frozen in a trance.
Tech looked into the database on his tablet and confirmed Silvaria was one of the escaped convicts.
"Her power appears to run on fear. The more she consumes, the more powerful she becomes."
One pesadila came at Tech and turned into a bunch of bats, which drove the poor guy running in fear as they swarmed him.
"Get off me! Get off me!"
The pesadilas transformed into all kinds of terrifying things. Bats, spiders, giant squids, sharks that could swim in the air, scary clowns, even scary characters from horror movies ro video games that gave various people nightmares.
People were running and screaming, allowing Silvaria to feed on their fear and create even bigger monsters. And as her power grew, she sealed the doors shut and cut off all ties to the outside so no one could escape or call for help. It got so dark, no one could hardly see anything, and while Gabby was cornered by the spider, Silvaria swooped in and took the girl's necklace.
"My necklace!" Gabby cried. "Give it back!"
But then Gabby screamed as another pesadila transformed into an illusion of the late Darth Sidious.
"One relic down, the rest to go." said Silvaria.
That was definitely not good. If Silvaria had the relic, she would take it to Mariverde or try to use it for herself. And with the number of powers Gabby had, there was no telling what damage whatever magic rubbed off on the necklace would do!
