Obi-Wan took a speeder and headed on his way to find his daughter. He could sense through the Force a dark presence calling to him. Find Maul and Savage, and he would find Olivia. And he was going at it alone. He didn't even take Peppermint with him.

Years ago, Obi-Wan had lost his old master, who was like a father to him for as long as he could remember. Then, he nearly lost his wife and so many others he loved. He wasn't willing to gamble with any of their lives. This was his baby they were talking about, and as the father of this baby, he believed it was his job go be able to protect her and rescue her on his own.

"Don't worry, Olivia. Daddy's coming."

Meanwhile, Gabby couldn't concentrate as the teacher was giving lessons in school. She couldn't stop thinking about Obi-Wan and Olivia. She knew Obi-Wan made her promise not to tell anyone about this, but she didn't know what she was supposed to do.

Obi-Wan was a powerful Jedi, but he couldn't face two Sith on his own. It had taken a group of several people to defeat just Maul when he'd taken over Mandalore.

Gabby needed to find a way to get help without breaking her promise to Obi-Wan. She sent Lamenta a mind message through the Force.

Does it count as me telling anyone something if you truth scan what's on my mind and then you tell others what you found? Gabby asked through their bond.

Not technically. Why? Lamenta asked.

Because there's an emergency and Uncle Obi-Wan made me promise not to tell anyone else.

While the teacher was writing on the board, Lamenta touched Gabby's wrist and looked into her mind, finding a very shocking truth in her. And then, Gabby asked the teacher if she could go to the restroom.

"Don't forget to take the hall pass." said Ms. Deera.

"Yes, Ms. Deera."

And while Gabby was in the bathroom, she got out her phone and called an old friend of hers.

"Hi, Queen Griselda. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind getting in touch with Zilly?"

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan followed the Force trail to Naboo.

Oh no...Obi-Wan panicked. This was where the royal family was! And the children! But they were all in separate places. How was he going to protect them? And to make things worse...

...his clava detector was glowing. And then Obi-Wan started thinking. If the Sith took Olivia... Luke and Leia were probably next!

And so, Obi-Wan rushed as fast as he could to the palace, where he found Padme with the babies, perfectly safe with Shmi and Mariposa.

"Padme, where are Kara, the oldest twins, and Qui-Gon?" Obi-Wan asked.

"Carmine and Susy took Caroline to a doctor's appointment, Kara went to the Temple, and Anakin and Qui-Gon had to go with the Batch to Elementara for something they couldn't tell me about." Padme said.

"Why do you seem so worried?" Shmi asked.

Obi-Wan was unsure what to say at first. He knew if he told Padme what happened, she might tell Anakin and he and possibly Qui-Gon would try to help and put their lives at risk. But if he didn't, how would she protect her own babies?

And that was when Mariposa noticed Obi-Wan's bracelet was glowing.

"Who was clavatized this time?" Mariposa asked.

Obi-Wan was hesitant to answer.

"Obi-Wan?" Padme said.

"I don't know for sure, but I have a terrible hunch that it was Darth Maul and Savage Oppress."

That got the woman very worried, and then Obi-Wan told them how they'd kidnapped Olivia and he was going after them.

"I'll contact help." Padme said, getting her phone.

"No, Padme! Please, I have to do this myself. I've already lost one loved one to Maul before and come close to losing so many others!" Obi-Wan said, tears coming to his eyes. "I'm not gambling with anyone else's life. Olivia is my daughter. I need to be able to rescue her myself."

"If these two are as dangerous as you claim," said Mariposa. "I don't think you should do so alone."

"I'm sorry, but I must."

"If you won't let anyone else come with you... at least let me give you something to aid in your quest."

Mariposa didn't want it to come to this, but it was time to share a power she had not yet told the others about. It turned out, she had a special power similar to Mariverde's. She folded her hands together, and in her hand, there appeared a little butterfly with orange and brown wings.

Similar to Mariverde, Mariposa could summon butterflies, but unlike Mariverde, she could create multiple types of butterflies, each granting a specific kind of power, and these powers were only to be used for the greater good. And unlike her sister, Mariposa granted them face to face and without the holder in a negatively affected emotional state. She asked him to hold out his right hand.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi, I grant you this, the power of the Milbert Tortoiseshell. It grants the power of protection. Simply say the word 'shelter,' and you will have shield against any and all dangers. This power can only be used once every hour. Once your quest is complete, you will release the butterfly by saying, 'Change complete'. Do you accept this power for the greater good?"

Obi-Wan looked at the butterfly. Such a power could prove useful in this scenario, and at this point, he needed any weapon he could get to aid in finding Olivia.

"I do." Obi-Wan said.

Mariposa gave the butterfly the okay, and it flew onto Obi-Wan's hand, making a magical ring with a symbol of the tortoiseshell butterfly on it.

Meanwhile, back at Windy Falls...

Omega and Boba sat at lunch with their friends when there was a big explosion in the wall! And in came two new figures both in all black suits, each with a symbol in red or mustard yellow in the shape of half a broken heart.

The kids all screamed when they saw these two monsters.

"Heart Times are afoot, children!" Mauls sneered with a laugh.

"Is that...?" Lamenta began.

"No way!" Boba said.

And when they kids looked at their clava detectors, this was definitely not good.

Maul and Savage, or rather Heart Times began attacking everyone in the school, hitting anyone they could with a new setting they had on their lightsabers. Each time they hit someone with a blast of red light, it trapped them into seeing an illusion of their darkest moments of the past. Times when they made a big mistake, times they'd been traumatized, and times they were unable to stop something bad from happening that could have easily been prevented.

Omega created a blinding light to temporarily stun the two clavatized Sith to give her siblings time to get everyone out of there. But then, as Boba was getting the younger kids who'd gotten trapped out of there, Maul hit him too!

"Boba!" Gabby exclaimed.

Boba was knocked to the floor, and he held his head in pain as the worst time of his life played in a vision before his very eyes. The day he destroyed an entire cruiser in an attempt to take Mace Windu's life, as well as putting the entire crew, including his future adoptive father and little sister's lives at risk. And the time he helped Aurra kidnap the young princess, and the lives that were lost because of him over three years ago.

Boba started crying as so many painful memories hit him again.

"No! No! Please! I didn't want to do any of this! I'm not a bad kid!" Boba cried.

And while Boba was at his weakest moment, Savage grabbed him and cuffed him in binders that got tighter if her struggled.

Then, Omega was hit, and she started seeing painful memories of when she was put through the painful procedures in the lab on Kamino.

Lamenta had turned invisible and managed to make it out okay, but when she looked among the others who'd evacuated, she didn't see any of her cousins.

"Gabby? Omega? Boba!" Lamenta called.

Maul managed to hold Gabby in a Force choke, and held her right to his face.

"So... you're the little brat that undid my greatest doing, are you?" Maul said. "How did a small rat such as yourself manage to save one from death when no other Jedi could?"

Gabby could not answer, for her breath was cut off.

"I think I shall invite your grandfather for a little playdate." Maul sneered. "Would that not be fun?"

That got Gabby in a panicked state!

"We really appreciate this doing, Griselda." Qui-Gon said before he and Anakin left.

However, as they were boarding the ship, Anakin saw a call coming in on his phone from Lamenta.

"Weird. I don't think school's supposed to end early today." Anakin said, noting the time. And then he answered his phone.

"Uncle Anakin!" Lamenta said. "They're back! They attacked the school! My cousins! The others!"

"Whoa, whoa, Lamenta. Calm down. Who's back?"

"Darth Maul's back! And he's not alone either."

Lamenta told her uncle everything she found in Gabby's mind about Obi-Wan going after the Sith alone, them having kidnapped little Olivia. And right now, this was exactly why he didn't want Gabby telling anyone.

"He took them! He took the twins and Gabby too!" Lamenta finished.

That got the Batchers worried, especially for Omega. She hadn't faced a Sith like her siblings had.

Qui-Gon started to hypothesize exactly what Maul was trying to do here.

"Hang up, Anakin." Qui-Gon said. "We are going to visit some old friends."

But Anakin objected to Qui-Gon going.

"Dad! I already lost you to Maul once. I can't lose you again!" Anakin said.

"Anakin, need I remind you of what we came here for?" Qui-Gon said. "Even so, I am not entering into this lightly."

"But you haven't even been out in battle with Sith since that dispute on Naboo."

"I was rusty then, but I have sharpened my skills and physicality since my revival."

"But... that doesn't mean we can't still lose you all over again." Anakin said, tears coming to his eyes.

Qui-Gon could see that Anakin worried. He'd grown up never knowing what it was like to have a father. And in the couple years since he finally found out who his birth father was and getting him back, he was terrified of losing him again. He wasn't the only one who'd been protective of him, though. Carmine, Kara, Obi-Wan, even the kids were protective of him. So, Qui-Gon told his son...

"Anakin..." Qui-Gon held Anakin's shoulders. "I know you are worried, and you and the rest of the family feel the need to protect me, and justly so. But you shouldn't have to be. It's my job to be protective of you, all my children, and my grandchildren as well. Not the other way around."

With tears in his eyes, Anakin hugged his father tightly, dreading what was to come when they went to face Maul once again.

Trapped by their own painful memories, Boba, Gabby, and Omega were trapped in a familiar space where Maul had originally killed Qui-Gon.

"Any moment now, children." Maul said. "Kenobi will pay for all he has taken from me, I only need him to arrive to see how I am to-"

Maul was cut off in his speech as he was held in a Force choke by none other than Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Obi-Wan looked absolutely furious as he made Maul drop his weapon and held him right to his face.

"Where is Olivia?!" Obi-Wan demanded. "Tell me now!"

However, that was when Savage attacked Obi-Wan from behind and blasted him with a ray of painful memories.

Obi-Wan tried to fight it, but his head was throbbing at the moment.

"Your daughter has a new home now with Mariverde." Maul sneered.

Obi-Wan cried in agony as he felt all these horrible memories fill up in his head.

He could hear echoes of the day Gabby was separated from Anakin by order of the Jedi Council, the time he knocked Anakin out to take Gabby from him, and when he was unable to stop the Sith from taking his baby girl!

Savage had Obi-Wan restrained like the children and took his lightsaber. Obi-Wan struggled, only for his cuffs to get tighter.

Maul laughed at Obi-Wan as he finally took him out from the traumatic dream state.

"Welcome back, Kenobi." Maul said. "I thought you might like a front row seat when I take out your master. Permanently this time."

Maul held Gabby in his hand by the back of her dress, still under her trance.

"With the death of this child, I will ensure my doings cannot be undone." Maul said.

"No!" Obi-Wan cried. "She's just a child!"

"Not to worry, I wouldn't do it without the presence of her grandfather."

"Put the girl down, Maul." said a familiar voice.

Except, when Maul turned around, he could not see the owner of the voice.

"Where are you, Qui-Gon Jinn?" Maul said. "Show yourself."

"Release my grandchildren and my former Padawan, and I will spare your life." Qui-Gon said, hiding behind a pillar.

"Show yourself and I might consider it," said Maul.

While Qui-Gon kept Maul distracted, Crescent knocked Savage out with a powerful kick and Anakin stole his lightsaber to catch the mariclava, while Kara quickly unlocked the restraints with Lamenta keeping her invisible. And Peppermint, Carousella, Estrella, and Remix all used their magic to get the kids out of their trances.

"You shouldn't be here!" Obi-Wan whispered as Kara used a spell to release him.

"Family sticks together, Obi-Wan." Kara said. "And you are part of this family."

Unfortunately, Maul soon caught sight of the prisoners being released, and he got out his lightsaber, only for Qui-Gon to get out his lightsaber and start fighting the Sith.

Quickly, Kara and Anakin started to get the kids out of there, while Obi-Wan quickly ran back in to help his master fight. Maul tried to impale them, but Obi-Wan shouted "Shelter!" And an orange energy force field formed around them, preventing Maul from getting to them.

"Get the children to safety!" Qui-Gon ordered his children.

Anakin and Kara were reluctant to leave their father behind, but they obeyed and got the horses to rush as fast as they could to get far away from the Sith.

"Grandpa!" Omega cried, horrified by the sight of her grandfather fighting the same kind of battle that had taken him years ago.

Meanwhile... with the Bad Batch...

With the Jedi going after the Sith, the Bad Batch was assigned the task of protecting the duchess and rescuing Baby Olivia.

Of course, Korkie and Bo-Katan both volunteered their services to help rescue Olivia. Korkie rode Pinto and Bo-Katan rode Maybelle.

"You're sure this will work to help find the kid?" Hunter asked as the horses all ran together to charge up their horseshoes.

"Trust me," said Banjo. "It's an old trick used by royal guards and ranglers back in Equinaro. We all concentrate on the same thing, we'll go wherever Olivia is."

"You sure we can do this on our own?" Echo asked. "With Wrecker and Crosshair protecting the Duchess and the rest of her family, we have more limited resources than we're used to."

"Our top priority now is rescuing the child. By my count, we still have two powerful magical unicorns with magic to fight Mariverde, should we encounter her. And there is a chance we may be able to capture her and end this battle."

"Either way, my baby sister could be in terrible danger." Korkie said. "She needs us."
